DIY Daphne Cosplay

jinkies it's almost halloween and the,gang and i haven't even made our,costumes,obviously we won't be attending any,parties this year due to the pandemic,but i've been planning to dress up as,daphne since,basically last halloween so i'm going to,make this cosplay anyway scooby-doo was,one of my favorite shows growing up so i,hope i can do this classic character,justice,okay i'm trying a new pattern mccall's,7861 i'm gonna do,style c with the sleeves of style d,so the mock-up turned out really great,obviously i only did one sleeve i like,the way that the,darts in the skirt and the top make it a,little bit more fitted,my only changes are that this sleeve,i'll take in a little bit,and obviously i'll be adding the cuffs,and the stripes that are part of,daphne's design,i ended up using a size 8 for the top,and a size 12 for the skirt,so don't be afraid to mix and match,sizes to get the fit that you want so,let's get to making this with the real,fabric real quick i needed to decide,where the stripes were going to go,and how big they were going to be i,decided to make them two and a half,inches tall,time to cut out all the pieces,when i'm cutting out the stripes it is,super important that i remember to,include,seam allowance for all of these pieces,so that when i sew it together it's,still the two and a half inches that i,want,first step in sewing is the darts which,i need to mark with my,white charcoal pencil on the wrong side,of the fabric,so i've tested out two different ways to,do darts on this little scrap here,the way that most people know is to sew,a straight line,all the way to the end point but the,other way that i've learned,you do a stitch all the way to a half,inch before the end point,and then stitch right along this fold,for a,half inch to the end point so the,original way,ends up having a little bit of a dimple,at the point,whereas the other method ends up looking,a little bit,smoother and because i have the line,drawn out i can,flip this over and see if i'm matched up,so i'm not quite lined up there,and the more accurate you pin this and,sew this,the more symmetrical it's going to turn,out,now to do this to the rest of the darts,it's iron time ideally you'd use the,tailor's hand to iron these,but you can also just use your regular,ironing board or even the curved end of,it,to help iron the darts i can sew up the,sides,and the shoulders at the top and the,sides on all the skirt stripes,and after that i can do all the,horizontal stitches,so i got a little ahead of myself,starting on the neckband,so i've cut a 2 inch by 19 inch piece to,match my,21 inch neckline i've sewed it,front to front and then i will fold it,over,and then stitch in the ditch here to,secure it and then i can trim off any,extra fabric on the back side,so i've got my invisible zipper and in,order to install it i'm going to stitch,like i have been,from the bottom to here and i'm going to,iron on a strip of,interfacing to this section so the knit,fabric doesn't stretch out all weird,when i go to sew the zipper,and i'm also going to do a baste stitch,from here to here,now to place the zipper i'm going to put,it face down to the seam,and then i'm going to pin it just to the,seam allowance part,then i can flip this inside out and take,out those basting seams,cool so i can open and close the zipper,so now i'm good to sew,the zipper to the seam allowance only,super clean zipper for the sleeves i've,already added the,purple cuffs to the end here i need to,stitch up the underarm,and then actually sew the sleeves to the,dress,last step is to fold under the sleeve,and skirt hems and run a top stitch,around those,for the headband i have a generic one,from the craft store and i'll use my,leftover light purple fabric and some,hot glue to wrap it around,the underside may not be very pretty but,the top looks just fine,for the scarf the fabric i have is a,little thin so i'm going to sew together,two pieces,invert it so it has a clean edge,for daphne's shoes i've got these heels,that i bought on sale that i'll be,painting with angel's leather paint in,lilac first i use the deglazer to remove,any previous finish,then i can jump in with the paint i went,with two coats letting it dry,in between i sealed the paint with a,satin finish,and boom pretty purple pumps for the,buckles i've cut out to these,box looking shapes in eva foam,i'm going to heat seal them with the,heat gun,and then spray them with some white,plasti dip the plasti dip kept drawing,bubbly or textured no matter how light,or heavy each coat was or how heat,sealed the foam was,i was running out of time so they're not,perfectly smooth but that's something,i'll experiment with more in the future,i want to be able to use these shoes for,other projects so i'm going to make the,buckles removable using magnets,there are two on the inside and two on,the outside and with my foam piece i can,press into the top magnet so they make,an indent and then,draw where those indents are so i know,where to glue in these top magnets,i chose to use super glue on the magnets,but contact cement or e6000 are other,potential options,the magnets ended up being not the,comfiest solution,they were fine for the photo shoot but,i'd recommend permanent glue or,temporary tape instead but i'm still,sharing what i tried,it's wig time i'm working with artist,ferrari in pumpkin,i decided to cut the length a bit,shorter,and use my hair dryer to soften and comb,out the curls,i strained it a bit too much and had to,re-curl a few sections,i trimmed the bangs and tried to give,those a little shape too,by curling with the steamer,now it's time to solve that mystery,are you where are you,cheaper,ghost don't trip let's see who you,really are,mr peters i i look like a potato with makeup,hello everyone and welcome to the final,video in,pandowing 2021 as per usual as per his,tradition on this channel today we're,gonna be trying on bad halloween,costumes if you are new to the channel,um and you don't know every year i try,on basically the halloween costume,version of a cosplay that i'm known for,it all started a few years ago when i,tried on the official walmart elastigirl,halloween costume then the following,year i tried on the official mega,halloween costume and then last year i,tried on the official tracer halloween,costume and today we're going to be,keeping that tradition alive with me,trying on yet another halloween costume,version of a cosplay that i am known for,um however we're gonna be upping the,ante for this video because i'm not,gonna be trying one i'm not gonna be,trying two but i'm gonna be trying three,different halloween costumes of this,character,today the character in question that,i'll be trying halloween costume,versions of is daphne which is a cosplay,that i've been doing for about five,years now um it's one of my forever,cosplays this is a cosplay that i'll,just never get rid of because she's just,so much fun to cosplay and it's just,always fun getting to bring her back out,for events so uh definitely a cosplay,that i've been known for over the years,maybe not as much as like elastigirl or,tracer but like still definitely a,staple cosplay of mine so when i decided,that i wanted to try a daphne halloween,costume this year i quickly learned that,there are so many different halloween,costume,versions of her available so i thought,it'd be fun to really you know like i,said up the ante for this video and not,just try on one costume but try on three,so that's what we're gonna be doing,today before we jump into it however i,just want to remind you guys that today,is the absolute last day to grab my cute,and spooky merch line which is this one,that i'm wearing right try,on and they all really differ in,what style they are basically um i,really wanted to get a variety so um we,have completely different ones i'm going,to be telling you which stores i got,them from but i just want to clarify i'm,not sponsored by any of the stores oh i,forgot to mention i forgot to mention,which is very important i just want,everybody to know that this is the most,expensive video that i've made to date,and it's the most expensive halloween,costume video that i've done today this,year for all three of these halloween,costumes it cost me at least,dollars so i really hope you so,first of all we have the spirit,halloween classic default daphne next we,have from bed bath and beyond of all,places we have the movie version of,daphne and then from,halloweencostumes.ca,we have the sexy version of daphne um so,three very very different versions i'm,actually kind of hopeful for a couple of,these i really have high hopes i don't,think they'll all be bad i think they,actually have a lot of potential and i,might be able to use them for my actual,daphne cosplay but like,we'll see if that statement lives up by,the end of this video so yeah so all,that said i'm gonna go get my daphne wig,on and then we can try uh the first,costume out okay so i've got my daphne,wig on i'm all ready to go um so we're,gonna start with the classic one i,figured this was a good one to start off,with um you know just the default one so,let's get into it um they didn't have my,size unfortunately so i had to go a size,up so it's not going to fit 100,um i'm not gonna judge it based off the,fit of it um just because you know it's,not the right size but it should still,fit me perfectly fine ooh all right so,right off the bat this is a hundred,percent polyester which is not optimal,it's pretty standard for,halloween costumes to be made out of,polyester because it's a very cheap,material but that being said it's a very,cheap material so,it it's it's gonna pill really easily,it's not gonna have a long life span,unfortunately so that right off the bat,is not very good oh my gosh i'm gonna,have to put this over my head aren't i,this thing smells really plasticky which,i kind of expect but still it's not it's,not great so we have the main dress,which i'll show you guys in a second and,then we also have the headband and the,scarf so basically gives you everything,except for the shoes um which is pretty,standard the headband looks really good,actually it's like a proper headband,covered in like a pleathery material,it's really smooth and like it looks,really nice so i'm really actually quite,excited for that yeah looks good then we,have the scarf piece okay there we go so,right off the bat i do wish that this,was a turtleneck because you have this,awkward bit of skin showing between the,scarf and the dress um which like she,doesn't have like her scarf,meets the dress so it's like that's just,one thing that i kind of wish that they,had done is they had brought this like a,little bit further up so here's a look,at the actual dress um honestly,it's not too bad like it actually fits,really well despite being a size two,bits for me like it could definitely,be a more snug fit but like it's a good,length and it doesn't have that awkward,velcro in the back you know how like a,lot of halloween costumes won't have a,zipper in the back it will just be,velcro i was really worried that this,would have that but it's actually just,like a normal,back you're just meant to put it on over,over your head um so i actually don't,mind this this is something that i could,actually use like i have a proper daphne,dress and like i said the lifespan of,this dress isn't gonna be,too long just because of what material,it's made of but as long as you took,proper care of it you could definitely,get some mileage out of it so i actually,give this an 8 out of 10. it's really,much better than i expected it to be,like it fits well it's canon,aside from the neckline and it's it's,actually quite reasonably made aside,from the choice materials the only,reason i'm deducting those two extra,points is just because of this neckline,and the choice of materials those are,the only two weak points of this costume,so actually this is actually one that i,would recommend if you wanted to be,daphne for halloween it's actually not,too bad i'm quite pleasantly surprised,so now that we've tried the default,outfit it is now time for outfit number,two which is gonna be the movie outfit,um i have pretty high hopes for this,aside from the wig i don't think the wig,will be very good but i'm actually,thinking that this might be a daphne,cosplay that i can actually wear to have,like an alternate outfit of hers so,let's see what's in store for us,oh,no,this wig y'all,oh my god oh my gosh the headband is,sewn,into the wig,oh my gosh,oh my oh no that's gonna be so bad,like this had a proper headband this is,this does not have a proper headband,all right let's see,oh oh no it feels awful,i really,oh no,oh no no,what is going on here,oh no,this looks terrible i just wish that,they had just made the outfit without,the wig because this is such a waste,right like this is just gonna go in the,garbage no one's gonna have a use for,this right it's just such a waste i you,know like if they had just made the,outfit and then you could get like a,proper wig if you were gonna wear this,for halloween that would be so much less,wasteful i'm just i really sucks i'm,really gutted over the fact that i'm,gonna have to throw this out like this,is just not gonna be good um anyway,let's try it on here we,go oh,it's so,i,i just like what is this is this like,it's,oh my gosh what does it look like in the,picture,in the picture it has like proper bangs,right like the bangs just go to the side,it doesn't do this weird i look like,a really haggard miss frizzle like this,is not good it's just it's just so bad i,oh my gosh,this is so bad who who signed off on,this who was like oh yes it's like what,is going on with the banks here,what is this supposed to be i don't,understand and then the sewn in headband,just looks like it,it doesn't look good oh my gosh okay,um,let's take a look at the dress it's,really hard to judge how it looks just,based off of looking at it it looks like,it's gonna be way too baggy and way too,big i,i had high hopes for this one aside from,the wig,but i'm not really sure now then in,addition to the dress it also comes with,these boot covers which look,absolutely horrible um,oh no,i just tried to stretch it,and it like,it came apart so if you try to actually,stretch this over a boot it's gonna look,terrible then we have the scarf which,like,hello this looks terrible oh no alright,well i'm gonna try this on and wish me,luck,i hate all of my life choices up until,this point what is going on here oh my,goodness i look like a crazy person,ah,this dress um it's actually you know,what the dress i don't hate what i don't,like is that in the product image we'll,just do a side by side here um there's,different colored piping there is actual,piping on this dress but it's not it's,the same color as the dress um the scarf,looks like it's longer and made out of a,different material it looks like it's,made out of a sturdier material and the,wig is completely different so,um,whatever is going on in this image is,not what you actually get let me just,show you guys the boot covers they're,terrible these are just not going to,stay up they're not going to look good,they're not made well um which like for,a halloween costume i guess,makes sense but it's just like,like you can make nice boot covers it's,possible it's possible you can make a,nice scarf whatever the heck this is,it ain't it the only redeeming part of,this is the dress um i think you know,it's it's longer let me just show you,guys it's much longer than in the prague,image like it goes,to my knees whereas the model it it's,it's more so like up here on the actual,model but that's something that's easily,fixable like i could definitely see,myself taking this in you know adding,some darts and then hemming it like,that's totally doable,the only thing is that if you're not a,cosplayer and you're not a seamstress,and you don't know how to do any of,those things,this is just what you have to work with,and it's not it's completely different,from the product image right it's not,the same outfit so for that reason i'm,going to give this one a 4 out of 10. i,had very high hopes for this costume,aside from the wig but it's just it's,not what i wanted at all all right so,all that said is now time for our third,and final daphne costume which is the,sexy daphne um it's sexy but luckily,it's not too sexy that i'd feel,uncomfortable wearing it as you guys,hopefully know i'm not into doing sexy,cosplays um but this one is it just,shows a lot of leg and it's just form,fitting so it's not something that i,feel like super uncomfortable wearing i,actually have high hopes for this one i,feel like this could be like a cute,alternate daphne outfit for me to wear,you know it's it's shiny which is kind,of fun um i could totally be kidding,myself though saying that um anyway,let's open it up and see what what we,have inside so it comes with this like,squishy,shiny headband which is a little comical,looking to be honest let's see how it,actually looks,oh that's not too bad all right all,right i dig it i dig it we can work with,this we have the scarf,which is stretchy um again you know what,it's not too bad of a material you know,as far as these halloween costumes go,like i'm really after this one which is,just like the thinnest thing ever,this,spandexy one is like totally welcome and,then we have the actual dress oh it has,a proper zipper,this that's awesome um it's made out of,oh is that just okay it sticks to itself,that's fun it's made out of this like,metallicy spandexy material um the only,real problem with it like it actually,looks pretty nicely made like i said it,has a proper zipper in it which like for,halloween costumes is very rare the only,real problem that i have with it is that,it doesn't have her little waistband,which would have been a really easy,thing for them to put on to it i you,know i don't see why it's not there but,like what can you do so i'm gonna try,this on and we'll see how it looks,all right so to be honest it's not,actually that bad,um i did have high hopes for this one,and it,it kind of just meets my expectations it,is extremely extremely short but for a,sexy halloween costume i you know,totally expected that um the only,problem with it that i can see is that,it doesn't have the waistband and i feel,like that would have been a really,actually nice thing to have on here,because it's not only canon but it's it,also,would like accentuate the waist nicely,and for like a sexy halloween costume i,think they'll be very on brand um but,maybe they didn't do that just for,copyright issues like this is not an,officially licensed daphne costume like,the other two were um it's called model,detective so they might have done that,just for the sake of copyright otherwise,the other problem i have with it is like,these weird sleeve pieces um it also has,one like a weird kind of tail thing i,don't really know what the thought,process for that was like it just looks,very strange the scarf is a little bit,thin but like it's it's workable it's,not i'm not too mad about it um the,headband looks good um overall like the,if you look at it side by side with the,product image it lives up to the image,like there's it's not like the previous,one that was just like falsely,advertised this one actually looks fine,i think it's actually kind of cute to be,honest i know it's supposed to be sexy,but like um i find it kind of cute you,know what i give this one a 9 out of 10.,it's not too bad the only thing that i,really have a problem with are these,things i don't know i have no idea what,these are supposed to be i'm just really,not sure what the thought process behind,these were um but it's an easy thing to,just take off so it's not too bad i feel,like this is something that i would,actually wear like i actually really,don't mind it i think it's just like a,kind of cute and like shiny take on,daphne i might actually keep this one,and like wear it as like an alternate,daphne outfit to wear i don't know i,kind of dig it so that was my bad,halloween costume video for 2021 really,only one out of three of these costumes,was actually like bad and even then it,was still workable just aside from the,wig i don't think we did too badly this,year i'm actually quite impressed and,that's awesome because i Dressing Like 10 Cartoon Characters! Outfits + Costume Ideas

so if you've been on my channel before,you know I love doing TV and movie,inspired look books and with Halloween,coming up I thought it'd be the perfect,time to finally turn to cartoons for,some inspire a skew guys for your fave,fashionable characters on my Instagram,and today I've put together the top,responses but I'd also love to know who,your all-time favorite cartoon character,is regardless of styles so let me know,in the comments mine will forever and,always be Zuko hello Zuko here oh also,side note I did not ignore the anime,responses I'm saving them up for a whole,separate video so stay tuned for that,one as well,so I thought we'd start off with a,classic Daphne from scooby-doo since the,series did originate back in the late,60s early 70s there's no surprise that,her outfit has a retro almost mod feel,to it so for my look I tried to keep a,touch of that 60s vibe whilst giving it,a more modern twist as well similar,actually to have Sarah Michelle Gellar's,wardrobe in the live-action remake just,gave that simple nod to the original,without being too exact did I really,wear about years ago that jacket with,that skirt hmm honestly as long as you,stick to a similar color palette you can,pretty much adapt the look however you,like with your own personal touch if you,do want to keep her signature elements,in mind though then I think the key is,her headband and also her neck scarf,okay there were a ton of requests for,the Powerpuff Girls but I have actually,already made a full video on adapting,their looks around this time last year,so I'll leave a link to that if you guys,are interested but I still wanted to,include just one new look for my,favorite of the trio Buttercup buttercup,because it also begins with a bee as a,kid I always wanted to be Buttercup and,I think it was because she was the,toughest fighter and I wanted to be a,wrestler but anyway since she was about,oz I tried to continue that energy into,this outfit with the daka edgier,accessories to balance her signature,bright green color and I,love how the harness ended up acting as,a modern take on the black from her,original dress and marries up the top,and skirt combo I wore today once again,this one is totally up to your,interpretation so you can just go wild,but if you are planning on using it as a,costume I do think that it would look,more intentional if it were to be a,group costume so to complete the squad,with the other two members but I mean if,you're anything like me and you have no,friends I just decided to add this,little Buttercup charm just as a subtle,reminder to people of who you're,supposed to be I was not at all,surprised with the number of requests,for Daria as it's definitely an iconic,look that is actually super wearable for,those of you with a grunge element to,your style as well just like most of,these looks I was trying to make it work,with items I already had in my wardrobe,so obviously it's not an exact costume,the main difference is just the jacket,really though as mine is more of an army,green with an oversized parka sort of,style to it but I feel like it still,suits the grunge seam so it's OK for me,the main selling point to pull this off,as a costume is definitely going to be,the glasses mine are actually more of a,square shape rather than her traditional,round but the black frames still do the,trick just please do excuse the terrible,glare on them and I'm so defended that I,actively worked to make people dislike,me so I won't feel bad when they do can,I go now some of you were more specific,with your Daria recommendations so I,decided to also throw in a Jane Lane,look plus once again I thought this,could be cool if you're looking for some,Jareau costume ideas I do love that this,could easily be worn any night of the,year though not just during spooky,season I mean it's just your simple or,black base with the statement being the,red coat and this vinyl one I actually,thrifted a couple of years ago and,although probably not the same texture,as hers I thought it was the perfect,length I just kept the same accessories,from my previous look with the lace-up,boots and backpack plus of course you've,got to add some silver piercings and the,iconic black shades,probably one of the most requested,cartoons was Winx Club sadly I didn't,have the right items to pull off all of,the girls looks but I am recreating two,today and decided to take in spoke from,the og looks of season 1 first up we,have my personal fave flora I think she,has the cutest outfit of the bunch and I,did my best to emulate it the skirt is,the real standout,in my opinion I think this floral mini,was the perfect match and honestly the,pink and green color combo isn't,something I would have paired together,on my own but I actually think is really,fun I do believe her accessories were,actually green as well to represent her,nature magic but they aren't exactly the,easiest to find so I went for gold,instead and finished it off with the,pink heels I will say that unless,someone is a fan of the show they,probably won't get this one as a costume,but I'd actually totally wear this as,just a cute everyday spring/summer look,the other Winx Club member I decided to,go with was Musa and I thought that this,would be a good alternative to flora,because her season 1 casual look has,more of a relaxed almost tomboy element,to it which just makes it even more,wearable for everyday use you guys know,baggy jeans are my favorite to style so,I felt very comfortable with this one,usually hers do sag a little bit lower,to show the red band of her underwear,but you could also opt for a belt,instead or in this case my jeans already,had a trim to give a similar effect so I,just didn't worry about it sadly I don't,have a pair of red sneakers so we had to,go with white ones but I did manage to,tame this red one-shoulder singlet,that's practically spot-on to hers of,course I had to put my hair into little,space buns very because I feel like that,is the signature to her season one look,and without it you really wouldn't be,able to guess who I am,moving on to everyone's favorite golf,girlfriend Sam from Danny Phantom out of,all of the books today this one probably,feels the most costumey to me mostly due,to the purple stockings and also the,fact that I didn't have a top with a,purple graphic so I just had to make do,by cutting out a piece of purple felt so,it doesn't exactly feel Polish and,something I would happily wear on an,everyday basis but if you did ditch,those two elements I feel like this,could easily become an outfit fit for an,e girl on the flip side of that to get a,more exact replica you might want to,consider throwing on a black wig and,actually DIY your own black skirt to,have the same green grid pattern because,I couldn't find anything like it online,which is why I went for this one with,the more minimal green stitching how do,I get through the thick head of a 14,year old boy mind if I join you,she surrendered her individuality for a,boy totally spies was one of my absolute,favorite shows to watch as a kid and,even now I just love the fact that they,didn't actually have the characters wear,the same outfit every single episode,which means there were a lot of super,cute early two-thousands fits to choose,from the first one that was screaming my,name was this super cute purple look,from Alex originally I was gonna make my,purple look Mandy inspired because I,love her sassy aesthetic but I already,had all of the elements to recreate this,Alex one so that's what we're rolling,with I think that this monochromatic,combo is adorable and something I'd 100%,wear in a heartbeat you guys already,know I'm all aboard for the cardigan,trend and teaming it with this matching,mini backpack is really letting me live,my early two-thousands wardrobe dreams,which by the way do keep in mind all of,these Totally Spies inspired looks,clearly aren't for costume ideas because,they're not iconic enough for anyone at,all to recognize who you're supposed to,be so it's just a little bit more of,wearable inspiration characters which i,think is just as fun,next up we have a look from Sam who has,a lot of cute outfits in her signature,color of green it was very hard to,choose one but I ended up piecing,together this very y2k wall girl,ensemble I suppose with the cropped,length of the pant and also once again,that color combo of pink and green is,popping up actually I did notice going,through a lot of different cartoons that,pink purple and green seem to be a very,very popular choice especially for,female characters this isn't really a,look I thought unlike at all but once I,put it on I was actually kind of feeling,it perhaps not as relevant as some of,the others since it is too niche for a,costume and yet somehow probably too,costumey for a lot of people's everyday,wear so it kind of just lives in this,weird in-between but I'm loving it,regardless so to round out the trio we,have clover who six year old me was,dying to be by the way and although she,represented the color red with her spy,suit she seemed to wear a lot of pink,when she was off-duty so I took in spoke,from this particular look I found,because it was the perfect excuse to,finally break out this denim miniskirt I,thrifted that is pretty much as early,2000s as you can possibly get and sadly,I didn't have the pink eggs to truly,nail the look but decided to go with the,white sandals to tie in the crossbody,bag lastly although her top in this,particular scene was just plain I did,notice that they often had cute and,girly graphics on their baby teeth so I,layered this one to complete the look,and I think that it was just a very nice,finishing touch so those were my 10,looks Easy DIY Daphne Blake (Scooby-Doo) Cosplay/Costume

hey guys what's up welcome to my channel,today i'm going to show you how i made,my first ever cosplay this is daphne,blake from scooby doo if you don't know,i tried to do it as best i could i,wanted a combination of the cartoons,since he was originally a 60s girl i got,some long bell sleeves,and a little bit of the movie version,because i love sarah michelle geller now,this is my childhood fantasy brought to,life like i've been obsessed with daphne,since day one,of my childhood,and i always wanted to be here and i,guess the closest i'm ever going to come,so if you want to see how i made this,outfit from scratch,everything about it let's just dive,right into this video,okay so the first thing i did was i,folded my fabric in half and then i,folded the dress that i wanted to model,the shape of it off of,laid down on the table and then i picked,a different sleeve from a different,dress,because i wanted a bell hippie sleeve,since daphne is from the 60s originally,and i traced everything out with chalk,now after i traced everything out with,chalk about an inch bigger than actually,the dress is so that i had room to sew,it i cut everything out,along the little chalk dotted line that,i made,just to be easier to know where to cut,and be easier to pin it up in a minute,now this took a little bit of time and,just make sure you have two pieces,because the first time i did this,it didn't work out because i only made,one piece folded in half and i thought,it made both sides but you need two,pieces,after everything was cut out i decided,to take some pins and go along both,sides of the pieces and pin them,together so i knew where to sew,now this took a little bit of time,lining it up correctly,as you can see i have to bunch it up a,little bit so it leaves more of a,flowiness to it,and then i decided to take a sewing,machine you can use fabric glue or,whatever you need the fabric glue does,not work on sticky material after i,sewed the dress together and turned it,inside out i decided to put the stripe,the signature stripe on the bottom of,the dress,i used some stretchy fabric adhesive and,a piece of ribbon,because i didn't like the way,glue looked on it or paint,so i just took that onto the bottom of,the dress,and with an iron it just took about 20,minutes and i had a stripe all the way,around my dress and the purple color,that daphne loves,now you can see that i'm covering up a,bunch of fabric paint on the bottom,there because my first try it did not,look good so i decided ribbon would be,more clean and secure,i just had to do is iron that up there,and it worked out pretty well it stuck,pretty good,now daphne usually has two stripes on,her dress but since i had big flowy,sleeves i decided to go with one and,make it a little more simple,the next step was buying some tights off,of amazon these are nice pinky pastel,color they were ten dollars,and then i bought a headband off amazon,it was three dollars and some ribbon for,my scarf from hobby lobby with a cool,ruffly vibe to it,the last thing i bought was a 24 inch,red wig which i dried shampooed it to,make it less shiny,now the costume is complete you can wear,whatever shoes you want with it you can,do boots or little flats i'm gonna paint,my purple flats,and i'll be done,this is the finished look you guys i,hope you guys enjoyed this video if you,want to see more cosplays from me,because this was a ton of work,um but really worth it just seeing it,come all together and seeing it work out,in the end like i made five different,versions of this dress before i landed,on this this material um first couple,times i sewed my first rest of this they,both had one sleeve,yeah i'm not very good at this but i'm,trying i'm going to be wearing this to,the raleigh super con,on saturday july 15th i believe,yeah and if you guys see me there,wearing this um say hi,anyways if you want to see more cosplays,when you give me a like on this video,i'll certainly keep doing it for you i,think it's super fun and i hope you all,have an awesome day bye,you're not gonna stay out here alone are,you,you

Last Minute DIY Daphne Costume

it's so warm in here I'm sweating this,semester has gone by way too quickly and,I can't divide lots of physics yet and,slow it down so it's already the end of,October and time to have a Halloween,costume I did not so here is a very,quick tutorial of how to make a Daphne,costume out of some scrap green fabric,and extra-large men's t-shirt and I,think a sheet not really sure what this,other purple was it's just from Goodwill,as mixed linens I don't know but here it,is so first you'll need to gather your,supplies,I had a mixed linens from Goodwill that,was $1.99 a piece of green scrap felts,from Walmart that was 98 cents and a,double XL men's t-shirt for $5.99 so the,first thing you have to do is try on the,shirt make sure it's long enough because,you know you're going to cut it up quite,a bit so make sure you have room to,spare then you'll lay it out and I went,and grabbed a dress that I already knew,fit me really well and would have the,dimensions that I like especially that a,line that I like to have in my skirts so,now you'll get a pen or a chalk and mark,where the sides should be and then mark,where the skirt should end,this should help you keep track of,everything once you're cutting,so here I realized that I don't own a,rule if I needed to make a straight line,so I just used a clipboard I'm sure,that's fine and then I got a measuring,tape and use that to mark from the,shortest point because it's a circle,it'll look strange if it's cut straight,across so once we made that line in the,middle we can work off of that and just,cut I think I did 23 centimeters from,the waistband in every spot and that'll,make that bell curve that you need,and then when that's done you have these,nice sites and you're going to pin,starting at those sides,so here I've pinned the sides and now,I'm working my way up to the torso this,was done very poorly and don't do it,like I did because it was not measured,and the middle of that collar is not the,middle of the dress but it's the back so,it does not matter so now you have,basically the shape that you want and,once it's all pinned out you can start,to cut so I recommend having at least an,inch seam allowance though I know some,people only do half an inch I am just,bad at things and want to make sure that,there's enough room for error in case I,really mess up so just cut out all of,that on one side and then what I find is,really helpful is once you have one side,cut out lay it over flat and then just,cut along the same line even though you,may have measured the first time that,may not be even and this way you know,that it's symmetrical and then you can,pin that in place to make it really good,but I didn't know something you might,want to notice is that I cut along that,curve for the sleeve normally Daphne's,dress has long sleeves but uh that was a,lot of effort and I didn't want to so,here I'm just pinning them all I put it,on backwards inside out and I'm pinned,everything in place and then you,realized that the back of the skirt is,too short and we're not trying to be,scandalous this Halloween that's a,different costume so now once you've,sewn it all together based on those pins,you just did it should look about like,this now let's look at the shoes so for,the shoes I just used regular white,shoes from Goodwill I think they were,ten dollars and then I cut out the,designs that you see on Daphne's shoes,with just construction paper and then,we're gonna paint the whole thing over,the construction paper does not have to,match the shoes because you're gonna,paint it so don't worry about that I did,choose a purple but it was really,since then we just paint the whole day,and I did two coats of paint just,because I thought it would look better,it really didn't have a huge effect over,all up to you on how you want to go,about that and then leave them overnight,to dry if you have the time if not give,it at least three hours so now we're,measuring out those stripes this is how,we're going to extend the back so that,it's not quite so short so we're gonna,have a stripe in the middle I'm going to,strap at the very bottom,so we're gonna use the measurement that,we just checked from the base of the,dress and you're just going to double,that measurement and that should give,you the full circumference of the dress,I'm going to go up about two inches,maybe two and a half two and a half,seems better no market and then you'll,cut it out for two sheets,I actually did my second shorter sheep,incorrectly so that top stripe wasn't,gonna work out and I had to redo it but,it's fine,but that just meant that I was lazy and,didn't feel like doing a stripe all the,way around and the butt was already,covered so instead I just did half a,stripe and that was fine it really,doesn't make much of a difference in the,overall costume so for the scarf I just,used a quarter of a yard folded it in,half sewed it all up turned it inside,out and that was it it really wasn't an,in-depth process and then you're done,it's pretty much cabbage and I added,purple eyeshadow she doesn't have it but,that's okay you're good to go you're,ready to hit the town or the,trick-or-treating roof whatever you're,gonna do thanks for watching

DIY DAPHNE COSTUME | DAPHNE MAKEUP TUTORIAL | HALLOWEEN COSTUMES 2020

hey y'all welcome back to my channel i,am back with another halloween look for,this season,today's video is inspired by daphne from,scooby-doo,in this video i'll be showing you how i,created this look all of the product,details will be list down below also if,you aren't subscribed to my channel go,ahead and do that now,also make sure you have the,notifications turned on so you do not,miss uploads for me let's go ahead and,get into this video,eyeshadow palette i'll be using today is,the beat down palette by planning makeup,by yolanda,um her collab with beats by deb and i'm,just using that color there,to fill in my brows i wanted my brows to,kind of match my hair,um and i already did my brows off camera,and i used my maybelline dip brow the,product that i used would be list down,below,um and then i'm going in with my pillow,with eyeshadow base,in the shade 4 and i'm just going to,prep my eyes for my eyeshadow,um and i am using a um a brush first to,blend everything out and then i'm going,to finish blending everything out with a,sponge,i don't know i feel like it looks more,flawless when i do this step,yes i'm just using a regular makeup,sponge from probably from walmart,so the first color that i'll be using,for my eyes is my slime,and i'm just doing the easiest,transition a three color transition i,did,try to do the a cut crease with this,look but i was so frustrated y'all i had,to start all over,so at this point i'm just doing the,easiest transition,and i might include some pictures of,what it looked like um but yeah i'm,using my slime then i use main girl and,then the white color is,called leilani i believe okay but yeah,i'm just making sure everything is,blended out and now i'm going in with my,moisturizer,um and i'm just doing my basic steps to,my foundation,moisturizer setting spray and this is my,maybelline lasting fix setting spray,and i'm just spraying that on my face,and then i'm gonna go in with my primer,um and this time i'm using the smashbox,primer which is list down below,and i'm just blending that all over my,face as well,so now i'm using my fenty foundation in,the shade 385,and using my juvia's place foundation,brush to blend that out,um i think this is the foundation that i,love the most especially in the summer,time because,it lasts way longer i know it's not,summer time but this foundation,it just oh my gosh it i don't know i,just love this foundation the coverage,it provides and also,um i feel like my makeup lasts long,throughout the day and now i'm using my,50 concealer,i cannot remember the shade right now,but i will have it down below,and i'm just putting in my normal,highlight areas the more i do my makeup,the more i realize i don't need as much,concealer as i was using when i first,started doing my makeup,and that's why y'all see me applying the,bare minimum also it lasts way longer,you don't have to keep buying so much,product,and i'm using a real techniques sponge,to blend everything out,you all know i am using my juvia's place,foundation stick in the shade zombia to,contour my face,i am almost out of this foundation stick,i need to go and buy some like asap i'm,at this point going to start scraping,some out just to get my,contour popping but i'm doing that and,now i'm going to go in with my,um setting powder from julia's place and,it's in the shade kalahari,and i'm just going to press under my,eyes just to make sure i don't have any,creases or anything,i don't like to bake i don't know bacon,is cool and everything but when you have,to take pictures with flash,and all that stuff bacon is horrible but,now i'm going in to contour my nose,so here you see me finishing up setting,my face with the,setting powder and i'm just applying,light layers of setting powder,just to make sure all of my makeup is,set,for my lips i wanted to do something,very soft and kind of like pink and,purpley,um so i decided to use this lipstick i'm,not sure the brand,name right now i did receive this in a,fc subscription,so i will have it list down below and,now i'm going in with another lipstick,that i,have not used and i'm going to go ahead,and go over that one it's a little bit,lighter,i just wanted something really really,soft um and now for my lip gloss i am,using,um sign by shane and then this is i,believe this is dragon fruit,and i'm just applying that to add a,little bit of shine a little bit of,gloss to my lips,for my blush i am using phase zero,this is like a really really pink blush,and i'm just applying that to the apples,of my cheek,um it looks very powdery so i decided to,brush it out,and then i'm gonna go in and highlight,my face the highlighter will be down,below,this is my broke highlighter that i can,never show on camera because it will,fall apart,so i will have it down below,and of course the final step is setting,my makeup,with my elastic setting spray and now,i'm going to go ahead and put my wig on,this week was ordered from amazon and my,amazon wig call fall inspire wig call,that will be clipped above so make sure,you go ahead and check that video out,and for my headband i am using fabric,from walmart um the pack of like 90 cent,or 98 cent fabric that you can buy i,mean i just cut it to where it would,look like a headband and folded it up,and i literally just took the fabric,under my wig,and like pretty much just turned it Easy Halloween Costume Daphne Blake

hey what is up you guys it's be love,k-ray and today,yes we are dressing up as daphne from,scooby-doo,also from i guess the movie or spin-off,or whatever,the new movie that came out this year,scoob um as you can see i'm kind of in a,new set up here uh,kind of have a little youtube studios,that have or whatever because it's my,birthday,and my parents were like you know what,you don't get a lot in life so,the reason why i'm dressing up as scoob,is because i was thinking of,what movies came out in 2020 people,always liked dressing up on halloween as,movies,hot tv shows that came out that year um,remember when like everyone dressed up,as harley quinn when suicide squad came,out,oh come on pudding,yeah you remember i know coronavirus,quarantine not many people are dressing,up not many people are going as hardcore,or whatever but this year,i am going to my church to carve some,pumpkins um,and halloween costumes are encouraged i,googled like children's movies 2020 that,came out and scoob was one of them and,i've always wanted to dress up as our,girl,daphne i literally have like 30 minutes,before i have to go i don't know why i,decided let me just get out my light in,my camera and just start recording a,video i'm gonna screen record,actually my computers what,what,okay okay so we're just gonna google,scoob,daphne because i actually haven't seen,scoob this is so fake of me i'm being,daphne and i haven't even seen the movie,the reason why i'm dressing up as her i,mean i've seen scooby-doo i've seen like,the live-action i've seen the cartoons,obviously but,i haven't seen scoob 2020 you know like,the new,like kid cartoonish version um it was,like 30,on amazon correct me if i'm wrong it,probably wasn't that much but like mulan,was and that wasn't good so,am i buying scoop no i'm waiting until,it comes out,okay so we have a bunch of i'm literally,just going through we have,i guess daphne blake i never knew that,was her name daphne blake she has a,purple dress,she has this green collar which in scoob,it's a lot different than,a lot different it's more of a color,less of a scarf,um i don't have time to like make a,collar so i'm just gonna go with the,classic,scarf okay if the kids don't know it,whatever too bad,um i am hoping kids will come up to me,and be like are you daphne from scoob,and they're like why is your hair brown,and grown out and your highlights are,all faded and i'm like,period so oh i don't have a fred,um i don't have a scooby so we gotta,really get,on this costume to make it look good so,what are we gonna start with um,immediately the shoes i don't have,purple,boots like i don't rock the colored,boots,but i do have immediately i thought of,go-go boots because i feel like people,with daphne costumes they always wear,goggle boots and i do i keep bending,over to get them and i'm like,well i'm talking uh i do have nasty gal,boots that i ordered and i think they,would be perfect for it,i mean obviously not perfect if they,were perfect they would be purple but i,think these are like,cute i think these are a little go go,boot-esque,i think these are very daphne daphne,would wear these maybe not in the movie,but daphne's going,out in these daphne's hitting up the,clubs with fred actually daphne's not,even going to the clubs with fred,daphne with velma and these you know,i've looked,uh this is the benefits of living with,your parents when you're 23 years oh my,god i'm 23 i thought i was 22 it was my,birthday,so yeah um what was that benefits of,living their parents at 23,is you have access to all of your,childhood clothing that like you,shouldn't have anymore you should,probably get rid of which i've been,donating i've been,purging i've been selling donating,whatever um,but i do have access to a few items that,if i didn't live with my parents i,wouldn't have access to,like this scarf that took me for 100,for a pair of panties okay stop,um so this is a scarf that's a green one,i'm talking so fast right now because i,got somewhere to be,also if you haven't subscribed to my,channel please do so it really helps,every subscriber matters,i've been getting some more recently dress she gave,it to me,it doesn't really look exactly like her,dress,also by the way this isn't like a i went,to the store and like,tried my best look like daphne no this,is like 20 minutes before i have to,leave i'm like,throwing things i'm like gathering,things so this is,the purple dress the only one that i,have is i need to take this bell off,because,she doesn't wear a sweater but because,this purple,is a lot darker purple than our girl,over here,i'm gonna put this little nice cardigan,and i sell cashmere cause it's cold out,i have to do pumpkin carving in the cold,oh you know what add some purple,whatever i knew this would come in handy,one day i just didn't know what day i,would wear this purple cashmere sweater,next we have her legs,a lot of people that here i'll show you,now that i know how to screen record,a diy a lot of people have pink,stockings what do you call them tights a,lot of people wear pink tights with,their daphne costume you see,you see here pink tights who,wiggle me call my grandma and out and,make her drive two hours to bring me,pink tights who the hell i don't have,these,so but i do have purple tights which,aren't my i'm literally not even that,wasn't funny because i literally on,purple tight so like,is there a difference no not really,obviously we're going to be,safe so we're gonna i actually had this,purple mask i bought like a three pack,online of perry ellis if you want to buy,these masks i'll link it in the,description below,so the last thing is this headband where,here is the black headband this is the,thickest one i found because like i,don't really wear headbands anymore,there was a fat phase where i had like,those headbands with the like,they like dragged down and you like tied,them do you remember those i just found,this ribbon,in my basement another perk of living,with your mom when you're 23 years old,and she's a crafty person she has ribbon,up the wooha,instead of saying i don't know safety,scissors because,you know still live with the parents,eyeball it,i'm gonna say that's good oh shoot,safety scissors don't cut ribbon because,they're children's scissors,the problem is i don't have a hot glue,gun i only have this liquid super glue,or gorilla glue i don't want it like,glue it to my head i don't know if it's,gonna dry on time so it might just like,end up being stuck in my head this one's,easier oh i thought it was gonna be a,paintbrush it ain't,okay so i just glued,all around the headband itself and then,i'm just,pressing the ribbon onto it so we have,our headband,now the only thing we have to do is get,ready i do have one orange wig that came,with the rugrats costume when i worked,at nickelodeon like,i don't think this is very daphne i have,15 minutes to get ready so i'm gonna get,ready really quickly,show you guys what i look like,okay so as you can see oh my god i,literally the headband looks so good,minus like right here you can kind of i,didn't glue the i should have glued the,ribbon like,in more i did a lot of pink blush which,i think gives it more of like a cartoony,vibe i did not have enough time to like,go all out with the purple,and green eyeshadow i just don't have,the time i have my little scarf it's not,like exactly how she ties it i think,hers is a little shorter,um i have the purple cardigan if you,like this video please give it a DAPHNE BLAKE TRANSFORMATION (MOVIE VERSION) COSPLAY/COSTUME TUTORIAL

hey you what are you doing,hey guys what's up my name is Bridget,and welcome back to my channel if you're,having an awesome day and today's video,is going to be number two of Daphney,blade transformations the first one I,did was inspired by these six trees in,the cartoon version today I'm doing one,more inspired by Sarah Michelle Gellar's,movie version of Scooby Jules Dassin a,bird egg so that any further ado let's,jump into the video I'm gonna show you,how I did this and what I use,so let's go alright guys for get started,though I did probably every single,freaking day so can subscribe I'd,appreciate it if you want more,transformations let me know there give,me a thumbs up on this video let's get,to the makeup alright so first things,first you need a dress some boots they,had been in a ribbon wig is optional if,you do not have orange your red hair so,first things first for the face is,eyebrows I'm going to be using the,colour-pop,yesplease palette to make my eyebrows,orange to match the hair they will be,putting on in a minute,even though they look kind of funny,right now so I'm going to be putting a,purple eyeshadow all over my lid this is,based off a movie from 2002 so the,makeup is not very good but I am,blending a silver and a purple all over,the lid as well as underneath the lower,lash line now we're moving on to mascara,I'm just going to coat the top and,bottom lashes like normal,after the mascara is done we'll move on,to eyeliner I'm using a Jordana gel,liner in a gray color because I didn't,want to do anything too dark to close up,the shape of my eyes next is I'm going,to be contouring it with the androgyny,panel from every star and I'm doing this,way higher up that I normally would my,cheekbones are pretty low down I'm gonna,be putting this higher up just to kind,of mimic her more chiseled not round,face I'm also gonna be bringing in these,sides of my forehead as well as under my,jaw line and these sides of my face just,to try and make my face look a little,bit less round and work shizzle doubt,especially in the jaw line area,now gonna be moving on to blush I'm,using a light light pink daiquiri blush,and blending it into the contours for a,little bit of warmth in the face which I,have already bronze it up now for,contacts in the lashes which are,completely optional but I feel like it,made me look more cute and cartoony,again optional Brown going to highlight,with the jeffree star peach goddess very,lightly just to bring a little bit of,light to my face so I don't look so mad,and it's so flat this is kind of,blinding but when you go outside it's,really not and it dulls down pretty fast,so peach goddess is a pretty good pick,if you are just taking pictures and you,don't want something super blinding next,up is going to be a lip liner I'm going,to be lip lining and very lightly and,then kind of brushing it away in a,second after I line because I don't want,it super super harsh I don't want any,harsh lines on this makeup so you're,gonna see me take my fingers and kind of,rub in the lip liner and I'm also,singing along to fall out boy if you,hear so a lipstick is going to be the,Marc Jacobs little sample when I got for,my birthday two years ago and will be,applying it on right over the lip line,I'm not over lining very much and I'm,also going to be taking this on my,finger to kind of dab off extra product,to make it look more blushed into my,lips and a little more natural this is a,cream shadow so it is gonna come off on,your fingers next we're going to set my,face to finalize dewy look now once your,face is set go ahead and cover up your,hair if you have to I'm going to be,wearing a wig today obviously about uni,wigs it was about 23 inches and I cut it,to the length that I need just make sure,when you're cutting a wig not to cut,yourself,so this wig it needs a lot of brushing,it does tangle up but it also looks,pretty natural compared you know for,being Orange so after you have your wig,on make sure to strap down and we are,ready to move on to the rest of the,outfit so for the outfit today I'm using,a daffodil Lake costume which I had to,adjust on two sides I pinned both sides,to make it fit more form-fitting because,it only comes in one size I will leave,this outfit,links down below for you it also comes,with boot covers but I don't suggest it,but yeah the dress is super pretty and,let's put it on so after that I took a,headband I covered it with pink duct,tape just for aesthetic reasons and I'm,going to cover that into the hair so you,don't see the ends of
