DIY Cute Cotton Candy Costume + Trick or Treat Bag! | SimplyMaci

hi everybody,Macy here so now that we're about two to,three weeks away from Halloween I,thought I should show you another DIY,Halloween costume this is a collab video, with my friend Abbi, aka it's Abbi babe and she also filmed a,Halloween themed video on her channel so,be sure to go check it out,the link will be in the description box, below along with her youtube channel so,be sure to give it a big thumbs up and, subscribe to her after watching this, video also comment down below what, you're going to be for Halloween because, who doesn't love costume ideas don't,forget to give this video a big thumbs,up and let's get started a detailed list,of materials and where I bought them are,in the description box below, but for this costume I use a body, conjurus polyester fiberfill newspapers, cardstock paper pink spray-paint a glue, gun a headband and a pair of scissors so,first off I want you to surround your, workspace with newspaper and do it,outdoors so you don't inhale the spray, paint fumes fluff out the fiberfill and, spray paint in a wavy motion making sure, you don't leave too many white spots, once you've finished spray-painting a,majority of the fiberfill allow them to,dry in a well-ventilated area for about,20 minutes depending on how much paint, you've used when the fiberfill has dried,go ahead and place some kind of,cardboard in between the fabrics of your, dress to keep the glue from sticking, them together then start gluing in a,zigzag formation and gently press on the, fiberfill until it's all glued on make, sure you're constantly going back to,parts of the dress where the fiberfill,is sticking out since some parts of it,will be exposed and you don't want to,have gaps in between the fiberfill, funfact the making of this costume took,me about two hours to make and most of,it was just going on fiberfill to the, dress continue doing this to the rest of,the dress and you are done, now for the cotton candy headpiece you, will need to roll a piece of cardstock, into a cone and glue it down with your, glue gun so it doesn't move around then, use your scissors to even out the cone,go ahead and glue gun a bear headband to,the cone at an angle and allow it to dry,and apply glue in a zig-zag pattern and, gently pat on the fiberfill I just love, this part because it actually looks like, cotton candy is gonna be stuck to your, head and I just love cotton candy so,cute continue doing this until you've,filled it with fiberfill and you are, good to go now for the cotton candy,trick-or-treat bag start by cutting up,long strips of newspaper then go ahead, and blow up a balloon and place it,upside down on a bowl like object to,keep it in place you're going to then, mix up some liquid glue and water until,it's a gooey but not too watery, consistency then dunk individual strips,of newspaper into the glue mixture and, place them on the balloon do this until, you've covered a majority of the balloon, then let it dry for about an hour or,until it feels dry before you glue on,the second layer continue adding more, layers until you have about five layers,of newspapers since you want your bag to,be sturdy enough to hold your candy I,mean I'm sure you don't want your bag to,break while you're trick-or-treating am,i right once it's completely dry pop the, balloon and use a marker to mark where, you want the top of the bag to be then, cut it out with your scissors use a hole, punch to make a hole on both sides of,the bag then insert some ribbon through, the hole to form the hand straps and, make a knot go ahead and glue gun the, ends of the ribbon so it's more secure, and it can't slip through the hole then, glue on some fiber feel the same way you, glued it on your dress until all of it,is covered and it looks like cotton, candy since it's not as pink as I wanted,it to be I decided to spray-paint it a,little more don't worry if there are, some white spots since it adds to the, cotton candy effect once it's the way,you want it to look you are done, thank you so much for watching hopefully, you guys enjoyed it be sure to give this, video a big thumbs up and subscribe to,my channel if you haven't already you,can do so by clicking on this button or,if you're on your mobile device you can, click that subscribe button down there, basically it's just going to notify you, when I have a new video up so you don't,miss out on it hope to see you all next, time bye

DIY Cotton Candy Costume | Halloween 2015| NANCI

hey guys welcome back to our Channel, today I'm going to be doing a video on,my Halloween tutorial and the first, picture you saw was the picture that, inspired me it was a lot of kids costume,so here are a couple things you need to,start this costume first I have a white, poster board one pound of pillow, stuffing I got pink color spray ribbons, and I got some fabric glue and then I,also have a pink body con that I just, got from the base of the permit hmm, okay so you want to start off by,fluffing up the pillow stuffing and, you're going to be needing your fabric, glue at this time,so when you're placing the glue on the, dress you want to be placing this in a,zig-zag formation,so once you finish gluing the Cotton's,to the front and the back of the dress, you want to turn it sideways and get all,the little parts where there is no,stuffing yet, okay so basically your goal is to cover, every part of this dress with Cotton's,so this part here you want to start, making the cone for the top of the, cotton candy sorry about the lighting, guys it's a little bit dark as I film, one really lays, okay so from this part on you want to,place the cotton on to the bottom, portion of the cone just like these, exact formation that we did for the, dress,so I actually waited a day before start, spraying the costume for the glue to dry,and you want to be doing this near a,window or outdoor preferably because the, smell from the paint the paint is quite, strong, you

i'm starting out, outside i've put an old bed sheet on the, ground, and i've covered the entire thing with, polyfill fiberfill so i can start spray, painting it,okay so let me say this was a bad idea,it's a great way to waste paint,i don't suggest doing this in the end, what was better was gluing this on and, then, painting it when i was done so you can,try this, but i don't recommend it,so this is where i suggest getting, started get a dress form,or whatever you can to put a large,t-shirt on,you want something that is going to go,past the child's fingertips,so this is a men's extra-large t-shirt,for my daughter, this size will you know vary depending,on the size of the child that you're,making this for,so just like i did with my cloud making, tutorial i'm using a hot glue gun,set to high heat and i'm going to glue,on,clumps of the polyfill fiberfill, one section at a time so you just kind,of grab a clump,of the polyfill fiberfill hot glue it on,and then see you know what parts are, loose what's not sticking, and add some more hot glue and you're,just going to repeat this over and over, until the shirt is covered,so,if you find sections that are lacking, you can actually glue polyfill onto the, polyfill, use smaller clumps like i did here and, press it in,and wait for it to dry,i covered a fabric swim cap to make the, headpiece, and then i used some white olive on,fabric to make the cone for the top now,we're gonna head outside, and spray paint the polyfill this to me,was so much easier than trying to spray, paint all the stuff on the ground that, was floating around, this way i could actually cover what i,needed to cover and make sure, that the pink color was everywhere i did,the same thing, with the headpiece and then left it,outside to dry,she loves her costume and i do too it,makes me happy to see her smile

🍬 DIY Adorable Cotton Candy Costume! 🍬 Plus Size Halloween 2020

hi,friends welcome back to my channel today,i am showing you how to make, this super adorable cotton candy costume, using items that you already have at,home more than likely and if you don't,have these items at home i have, everything linked down below in the, description box so don't worry,if you're anything like me you're always, looking for really easy projects to make, including halloween costumes and, halloween,is coming up really really quickly this, costume only took me a few hours to make, and i did step-by-step instructions for,you guys so let's go ahead and get, started, and see how i made it all you need for, this project is a bodycon dress, some polyester fiberfill spray paint, hot glue cardstock paper,a headband and this is optional,a pink wig okay so this is the bodycon, dress i got off of amazon it was pretty, inexpensive,it's extremely see-through as you can,see but i feel like it's going to be,perfect for this costume,i'm hoping that once i glue on the, polyester fiberfill that it'll stay on,and it won't fall off because that would,be,an issue obviously because this is,stretchy material i'm a little nervous, about it but we're gonna try this, okay the first step to this costume is,getting your polyester fiberfill gosh i,got a lot of it,i was worried that i wasn't gonna be,able to have enough to fill the front, and the back of the bodycon dress,um but this is definitely enough now i'm,worried i don't have enough spray paint, but i'm just gonna lay it down on this, cardboard box down here you can see i,kind of already did some earlier, and i'm just going to take this pink, spray paint that i have, and i'm going to just spray it down,so i'm in my garage now and my hot glue, gun is um,is in the wall right over there and, while i'm waiting for it to warm up i,put,a box underneath this dress to kind of,stretch it out a little bit hopefully, this will help with like, the stretching and making sure that it,doesn't fall off,so i'm just going to glue piece by piece, right onto this dress, foreign,i do want to mention that when i put on,my dress for the first time, after attaching the fiberfill some of it,was, popping off this is where it got kind of,tricky, because i decided and this is probably, not a smart idea but i decided to just, glue it back on myself, while i was wearing the dress be careful, you don't burn yourself because that, could definitely happen, and then i took off the dress and then, kind of redid it that way too,um i don't think i did it completely, right the first time,so it's just a little bit of trial and, error that's just kind of how it works, with diy projects all the time, also pro tip make sure you are stepping, into it instead of putting it over your, head,if you step into it you can kind of,wiggle your way up it is a body con so,it's going to attach to you, pretty pretty well so you just kind of,have to like wiggle, your way in and that's how it worked for,me okay now that the dress is done,i'm going to make the headband that has,the cone with a little bit of cotton, candy on top,so what you're going to need is some, cardstock i found this kind and it is,glittery i don't know if it's showing up,on camera,i thought that was perfect your glue gun,and then a plain headband i got this, white one to kind of match the cardstock, you want to roll your cardstock up,glue it so it doesn't come undone, and then you're going to glue it at an,angle on your headband, others, once that's finished you start gluing, some more of that cotton candy around, the bottom, just keep going with it until you feel, like it's enough and it looks good, and this is the final look,i hope you guys enjoyed this video it,was really fun to make and create, and i'm totally gonna wear it for, halloween because it's already done,it's taking up half of my closet right, now it's actually kind of funny,um but yeah if you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs up and also, subscribe if you are brand new here i,would love,to get to know you guys better and if,you have ever made your own homemade, costume let me know in the comments, what costume you made that was your, absolute favorite thanks for watching, guys and we will see you in tomorrow's,video we're actually doing a vlog style, video and i'm taking you guys with us to,the great wolf lodge so tune in tomorrow

alright hey guys so we're doing a 5k,pretty soon and my girlfriend Megan and,I were gonna do a couples costume and,it's gonna be con candy so we're gonna, make one pecan can maybe that'll be mean, and pink cotton candy my girlfriend, here's what you need you're gonna need a,loose fitting t-shirt pillow stuffing, spray cans we're gonna use pink and blue, and you're gonna need a poster board and, ribbon so here we have this oversized,t-shirt running a 5k so we want it to be,loose for us but if you're gonna use, this for like holding costume it'd be ok,to have something that's a little, tighter fitting so what we're gonna do,is we're gonna glue the pillow stuffing, onto the t-shirt so we're gonna lay the,t-shirt down and we have our glue we're,gonna use spray adhesive and we also, have a magazine and what the magazine is,for is we're gonna cut papers out of the, magazine and stick it in between the, shirts so when you're gluing the pillow, stuffing on the shirt the shirt doesn't,stick to itself on the inside, and yeah I also decided to cut off the, sleeves because I think that way if this, these are still on it might look a,little bit baggy okay so we have some we,have some spray adhesive and here is our, pillow fill that's what we got and we,just have some Elmer's spray adhesive, and as you can see his Megan, you, and as we're going through this what,Megan is doing is the bottom part of the, cotton attaches to the adhesive but some,of the top part is a little bit loose so,she's just double checking to make sure, everything is at heast, and she's applying spray adhesive as,necessary, you, okay now that when you have the majority,of the shirt covered with your pillow, stuffing you're gonna notice that some,of the top of the pillow stuffing is not,as secure and you can kind of tell by,just stroking your fingers to the top of,the pillow stuffing and as you can see, like this part's kind of loose you just, put it to the side but as you see it in,general they'll get the idea that you're,a big piece of cotton candy and if you,do this you're not gonna have excess, pillow stuffing falling out of your, costume, whenever you're wearing it and as you,can see she's doing that and she's,continuing to apply adhesive to the, loose parts and we do this he'll have a,nice fluffy costume and she's also, filling in the bottom of her shirts and,you also got the sides of her shirt and,the shoulders of your shirt, and for the hats we're gonna use that, white poster board and some tape and, basically you just roll up the white, poster board into a cone and you're,gonna need scissors and tape to get it,to shape but that should be pretty,self-explanatory roll into a cone and,cut off the excess at the bottom and, what we're using is ribbon and staples,to keep it around their head I have some, blue ribbon and she has some pink ribbon, alright and so this part you're just, applying your spray paint your spray, adhesive and putting a little bit of,fluff around the whole bottom of your, hat and that will give you like the, bottom of the cotton candy so now we're,just doing the final parts of this, costume we'll just put in the color and,as we'll see she's just trying her best,to do I could even coat paint cotton,Candy's not perfect so,you

hello there i am madison and welcome or,welcome back to my channel mad crafty, this one was super easy so let me show, you how i did it,first i got a small pink t-shirt from, michaels i'm cropping it a bit because i,plan on wearing high waisted jeans with, this top next i'm just slipping some, card stock inside of the shirt just in,case the glue bleeds through although if,you're using fabric glue and you should,it should not bleed through next i'm,using this fabric glue and i'm going to,squirt it on the shirt,in zigzag motions, and then this is the fun part take your, polyfill, spread it apart make it look cotton, candyish and start sticking it down on,that glue do this to the entire shirt, you don't want any little t-shirt parts, sticking out,and once you've done that you want to,let it dry for a few hours, and once it's dry you can go outside and, pick out your favorite pink spray paint,i got mine at michael's,this normally wouldn't be my first color, choice uh i think cotton candy is a,little lighter but it's all they had so,find your favorite pink and spray in,sweeping motions this is really quick,so i left that outside to dry and, then i took out some of these cone party, hats i got from the dollar tree and i,used regular glue did the same thing, attached some poly fill and then also, sprayed the hat, that simple i literally did this in,under an hour, also i wanted my shirt to look more, almost stylish and cute so i took a,pink ribbon and i just tied it uh,around the middle so it had a little, more, you know, bouginess to it,also i did this to just a shirt but, there is no reason why you couldn't do,this to a whole gown or a dress or just,a skirt and wear a cute top the options, are endless so just be creative with it,and have fun one more thing before i go,for any of you harry potter heads out, there like myself, this could totally also be a pygmy puff, costume, vamp it up a little bit, actually when i did it and i put it on i,said i don't look like cotton candy i,look like a pygmy puff i'm okay with, that though so,just a little just a little thought, thank you so much for watching i have, lots of other halloween tutorials coming, out so definitely subscribe and like, this video if you liked what you saw my,theme this year is casual but theatrical, things you can do quickly,so,yeah hit,the button like all the youtubers say,hit the subscribe button if you,if you want to subscribe uh,you can find me on instagram pinterest, and tic tac madcrafty and i'll see you, next time, you

DIY LAST MINUTE COUPLES COSTUME FOR HALLOWEEN: COTTON CANDY

DIY LAST MINUTE COUPLES COSTUME FOR HALLOWEEN: COTTON CANDY

I think turned out pretty good he's bad, news days of myself what's going on,youtubers I'm Patrick I'm Alyssa hi that, was a little geeky sorry we are doing a,do-it-yourself project for Halloween, because there's only like 35 costumes, you can pick from in the store and, they're really expensive and then if you, like us they get lost in the mail and, they don't get here in time for,Halloween and then you have to improvise, and if you're on a budget the only, person that got a costume was the dog, mini mini the dog is dead and 14 years, old this struggle she kind of goes with,oh okay, ice cream she's that old a lake she's,dragging her across the table is elder, abuse she's dying,we decided it was since we lost our, costumes and she has a super cute,ice-cream thing that we would do,something that kind of went along with,it so we're gonna make a cotton candy, costume yep she's gonna be the cotton, candy because I'm the sweetest and I'm,gonna be the Candy Man,okay the things you will need are poster, board a spool of thick ribbon that's,like two bucks from Walmart a hot glue, gun hot glue red markers pink spray, paint something that is light pink that, you can put glue on and never use again, and be okay with it I got a big giant, pink hoodie from mama and then I cut the, sleeves off so it's like as long as a,dress pretty much and then I put some, sleep like a little tank top sleeves on,it the or you can just use a pink dress, that you already have or white dress or,a light blue dress, you need light blue spray paint letters, these are fuzzy iron-on letters I would, use sticker letters instead or if you, have better penmanship than me you can,use a black marker and you need a big,bag snuff it stuff a pair of scissors, and like a ruler the guys costume you, just need clothes need like a white, shirt khaki pants or a black pair of,pants you need a headband oh really, yes will this fit your head probably not, your head is huge no that's not OK,a bowtie and a pair of suspenders, because it's cute and you make him a,little hat like like the Krispy Kreme, donut yes my gosh you're gonna have to,deal with it that's just yeah cuz the, mailman lost your costume so I'm candy, instead Star Wars do we need this no no,but it's cute and I did a good job, another last video so this is our making,we're making the box that you put the, cotton candy in so we'll start with the, white board first and a marker,I measured about 14 inches by 10 inches, and made a rectangle, one size you do four inches and then by,10 and then you make a mark at the two, inch point and another mark at the two, inch point so you do it for all four, sides and then after you cut it out you,can fold it under its otherwise this is,just a raw edge oh so this is all paper, this is paper oh oh this is cardboard, nope it's paper Oh a smart and then you, take something round like a quarter to,have a quarter in your pocket I only, carry hundreds this will work this is,fabric glue you make six holes and you,cut the holes out like this so that you, have something to put your canyon,so now you cut okay you get,on the short ones and make an extra tab,it helps connect the corners of the box,so don't cut the tab off, okay so then you cut out all the circles, but that it's a little tricky and it,takes too long so you're just gonna have,to imagine that we cut the circles it's,a pain in the butt then you fold this on,the line unfold it turn on its back so,there's no markings no writing on this, side you cut some strips of paper i when,I did it I use the ruler and I put it,down on a piece of paper and cut along, the ruler and that's how fat I made my,stress with the piece of paper across, the larger piece of paper very distinct, you can you have multiple stripes see,you line them up and then you take your, spread hate let me shake it then you go,outside and you spray paint stripes on,your tray it should look like this after,it's dry you fold the size in makes it,you take this and you insert it in this, side so when you pitch it it makes a,corner and you walk away now we're at,this point so you're gonna take your, letters or your marker or whatever you, decide to do I was bum,use the letters it's a DIY projects and,you left the D in y out after it heats,up and you put glue on the back of the,teeny-tiny letter, stick it on okay so you're gonna put a,tiny bit blue on here and then you're,gonna try to not going to lemons if I,missed you're gonna burn your fingers, off this is already drying I've been, doing this for so long that's too much, glue really yes one more piece is,already dry probably hot glue dries, pretty quick,it did sick, you didn't even get stuff on here look I,didn't get stuff on here either C's not, just me no I got this down a Spokane why, halfway down what do you mean he's,perfect which is because it was, squashing out making a big mess, someplace else, you mean squashing yes this is no turn, down just look bad you down the camera, then you open your rivet, and you see how long your candy mans, naked chocolate ribbon so you do it to,the inside,Candyman tray and then you fill it with, your cotton candy hmm kind of square, here we go so now you're gonna take I'm,square, then you're gonna take your triangle my,mind to bend it in the middle a bit like, that make it into a cone,so I try the plural a little piece at,the bottom twirl at the top miksa come, take the scissors cut off the tops, corner and then and you hot glue it at,the bottom and you hot glue it right, here so that it stays in the cone shape,in Spanish this is fat this is not, poquito pequeno I see yeah that's waffle, was handsome you said this was poquito,I'm disagreeing with you wardo okay you, take your red marker from Crayola and,you draw stripes your phone looks like, this maybe it won't look at stuff oh oh,my beards thought I'm so old my people, would say in my beard for your ball, into a cotton candy-like shape and then, you spray-paint three fluff balls pink, and three flip-flops blue after it is,been spread and it's dry you put hot, glue down inside on the rim inner rim of,the cone take your fluff ball and you, kind of step it down and kinda like that, let's pretty much it for that guy's,costume so for the girls costumes you,hot glue the pink fluffy to the headband,so it looks like this marshmallow and, then you make another column but that's,a little bit bigger put stripes on it,hot glue the there basically so,except it should be on the side of your, head but for some reason Pat keeps, moving so it's in the middle but it's,supposed to be on the side and kind of,keeps it like like like a little hat, people where to put them the royal, weddings that are gonna like Peter oh,yeah those are cute, yes that's supposed to be like a royal, wedding type kind of hat weird thing, basically you take the fluffy stuff and,you take your sweater and your hot glue, gun and your hot glue gun all of them, dress and you stick the polyfills to the, dress I think it works best enthusiast,if you use like bigger pieces and then, place it on take a hot glue gun and glue, from the bottom and kind of work your, way up the fluffy thing and just you, know do it that way and you spray paint, your cuff on Katie and then after you,are done spray-painting it you let it,dry cause you don't want to make anybody, that you have turn people's smells okay, yeah you should do it outside and we'll,show you what it looks like after you've,done the whole thing next and here we,are final product I think turned out, pretty good if I do say so myself, you look fluffy I think if you make this, for a boy you should make it out of,cardboard instead of poster paper, because patted me and handling it in,half I feel like I found myself in the, business see how I'm dressed something,is nice on a normal basis with a bow tie,and everything I'd say the same for you,but I can be the mascot the only, negative is that you have to be really, careful when you're going through, good stop and sometimes you hit people, which is a bummer unless you don't like, them that's fine if you like our channel, click like and subscribe, yeah we appreciate the support or nor,our goal is that try to get 10,subscribers and they were gonna do,something special I think we're gonna do,a giveaway so yeah be there for that 10,subscriber video anyway have a good bye,she got the fancy costume this year, she's ice cream no look at the camera, the camera look here you go
