Making a Frog Dress (and coat!) 🐸

hey,how you doing,so this tutorial took a little longer, than a week to make it's been a long, time i'm just a slow editor and when it,comes to would i rather sew something, new or like edit the video,i keep choosing to sew something new but,we are here now so hello hello my name,is shea i like to make things and i'm,gonna tell you today about how i made my,frog dress and coat,so this dress originally started as an,impulse project i was waiting for my,fiber optics fabric and i needed like a,project to do in between so i tossed a,poll on my instagram with like a couple, ideas of stuff i could make and i just, randomly put like maybe a frog dress but, then everyone voted for it,so i whipped up a sketch really quick, and you all seem to like it so we ended,up making a frog dress the design i came,up with is actually a dress and coat, combo i gave it a poofy underdress, inspired by those silky dresses with, lots of ruffles and lots of like, fullness and in general i just wanted it,to have very round vibes for the coat, part of it i really wanted it to be a,cape coat with a big frog hood and i,thought it'd be really cute if the hood, was like a little frog head that was, eating your face but with all that said, let's start making it,alright so these are the fabrics i got, this is all the ones for the coat these, are all the ones for the dress i guess, had a nettings and tool for the, petticoat and i got organza to make the, actual dress and for the coat i got wool, which is kind of crazy it's super cool, and then i got this silky stuff for the, linings i started off making the dress, and the goal was just like maximum poof, first i made a white tool petticoat, layer by gathering a really long 12 yard, strip of tulle and attaching it to the, bottom of a three yard rectangle to get, this nice first layer it wasn't quite, poofy enough so i added another layer of,gathered tulle on top of that and then i,still wanted it just a little more poofy,so i added another layer of gather tulle, but this time i made a green tool, because why not so now we have three, layers on this guy and a pretty nice, shape going on the next thing i'm going,to do is start building the actual skirt, but now that we have the base we're,going to add the organza which is the, fabric that you're actually going to see,i actually picked two colors of green, organza one's a more emerald green one's,a more mint green and i thought i'd kind,of layer them to get the perfect color, and it's the same for the organza layers, they are just gathered rectangles i,added two layers of gathered organza, rectangles and then a top layer of a,mint organza gathered rectangle but for, that one i also added a ruffle on the, bottom made of you guessed it another, gathered rectangle, this entire skirt is just made from, gathered rectangles because it's easy,it's really poofy, and i'm lazy but this also makes it a,really good beginner project because, there's no hard patterns to it so to,recap this dress is one two three four, five layers which is a lot of layers but,i also kind of love it because it gives,it this ridiculous poofy shape which is,the kind of cupcake shape that i was, going for if you haven't noticed yet, this is very much a no planning just, vibes kind of project so you probably, could have used like two to three layers, for the petticoat instead of the four to,five that i used but it works there's no,rules to sewing it's a frog dress and,it's on to the next part the top of the, dress for the pattern i just draped a,dress top on my dress form but you can, also use like any strapless dress, pattern if you just don't want to drape,it i then stacked all the fabrics that i,wanted to use for my bodice mine ended,up being six layers because my fabrics, were very transparent and i had to layer, them multiple times in order to get an,opaque color i used my pattern to cut,out my pieces for the bodice sewed the, outside pieces together added in the, lining and then attached the bodice to,the skirt lastly i just added a zipper,in the back for closure and that's it,okay okay guys,it's done it's pretty poofy pretty nice, but i'm really happy with it and now i,can move on to the cake part part three, the coat i started out with a pattern, that i found at joann's i thought it was, pretty close to what i wanted so i made,it out of scrap fabrics so i sewed up,the mock-up and as you can see it,doesn't fit quite right the shape's not,the diagonal shape that i want so now,i'm just going to play around with it a,little and make those adjustments so,that it fits the way that i want, this method of making a mock-up and then, adjusting it is one of my favorite, methods for modifying patterns because,i'm a very visual person and i think,it's easier than having to like modify a,flat pattern or something kind of see, here i already made my pattern, adjustments it really wasn't anything, too major i'm eventually gonna make, these into teardrop shapes that's why, they're folded up a little so now it's,time to cut once i had my modified, pattern i cut my pattern pieces out of,green wool sewed the pieces together, double checked the shape of my pattern, and then gave it a nice and pretty top, stitch, all the fancy patterning and it still, just looks like i'm wearing two lily, pads, sewn together,it's definitely not a conventional coat,in any way but i kind of like it it,makes me feel a little bit like a leaf,or like a bug for the lining it was a,very similar process i cut the pieces, out of green satin lining sewed them, together pinned them inside the coat and, then i actually hand stitched the entire, lining into the coat, okay so that took like probably three, movies so about five-ish hours there are, definitely faster ways to do it but it,was kind of relaxing so i i enjoyed just, sewing around the edges sorry i'm,whispering because it's like 1am and now,we are down to the last bit the hood i,designed my frog coat a little funky, with both a collar and a hood and, there's no practical reason to have this,i just thought it looked cool for the, collar i used the collar pattern that, came with the store-bought powder i just, cut it out added a little interfacing, sewed it together and gave it a little, top stitch and i also used the,store-bought pattern for the hood i just, cut it out of wool sewed it together the, only real modification i made was these, little eye tabs i made them from wool, gave them little black circles for eyes, and added a little interfacing for, strength okay y'all i've just kind of,been goofing around and like making, these little guys for fun,but i love it so much like it really, does look like a little giant frog mouth,i also gave the hood a red lining, instead of a green lining just so it,would look like it was his mouth that, was kind of eating your head then i just, attached the cape the collar and the, hood all together and the coat is nearly, done the last little bit is to add your, buttons i put a poll on my instagram, story and everyone voted for these white, jeweled buttons so i hand stitched those,on and i also hand sewed my buttonholes, okay so it's pretty much done as you can,see one last little feature i'm adding,is like some little snaps to these, because right now they stick up all the, time which is really cute when you want, like full frog coat vibes but basically,i'm thinking for a more practical, purpose it might be nice to like be able,to tuck those back and so the eyes are, still there but they just don't have to,be there all the time you know i also, made some lily pad earrings out of,polymer clay just because if we're gonna,do a look we're gonna do like a head to,toe look we needed some lily pad, earrings but that's it i put the whole, look together and now it's finally time, for a fancy montage, this whole frog project started out as,just an impulse thing but it turned into, like one of my favorite projects for, this year and i've actually been working, for like the past six months to see if i,could get these coats manufactured so,that anyone could buy them, but it's a lot harder than you expected, but there's just been a lot of grown, bumps in learning like how to do,manufacturing and set up a business and,tax stuff, but i am still trying for it i'm trying,to get designs made and so hopefully in,the nearest future my designs will one,day be available for purchase but if,you're really interested in being able,to buy something once i start making, stuff you can go to my website and sign,up for my email list and i will send out,an email whenever i open up my store and, speaking of trying something new let me,introduce you to this week's sponsor, skillshare skillshare is an online, learning community that has a ton of,classes for creators or just like, curious people to try out they have, topics DIY frog prince Hat

follow along to make this easy Frog,Prince hat, subscribe to my channel mother make for, more tutorials you will need felt fabric,a generic cap cardboard hot glue and a,yellow piece of paper cut off the brim,of the Hat creating the shape of the, frog nose use cardboard to cut out the, shape of the eyes, bend the cardboard and glue it to the,hat starting from the center and working, outward use the green felt to cover the,Hat,I always start gluing the fabric in the, center and then work outwards I stretch, the fabric and hot glue little sections,at a time making sure the fabric lays, nicely once I blew down most of the, front I step between the felt and the,Hat with stuffing to fill out the shape, you can use this stuffing to really, sculpt the face of the frog I use, pressure to shape the face how I like it,finish gluing the felt around the face,to hold in the stuffing, cut off the extra felt around the brim,of the Hat leaving enough to fold it,under the brim glue and fold neatly, under the brim, notice how the glue really showed up on,the felt be careful to not get any glue, oozing out cut off the extra felt to,create a clean edge under the brim now, work your way backwards folding and, gluing the felt to the back of the Hat I,always lose the center first and work, outward find places you can create clean, folds and fold down to create the shape,it is much easier to use someone's head,to finish gluing the extra fabric down,in the back so be very careful with the,hot glue and not glue hair or burn your, friend once you have finished gluing it,down cut off the extra fabric leave, about 1 inch for folding the extra, fabric under the Hat hold and hot glue, the felt under the Hat you can cut away, extra bulk of fabric from under layers,of the folds to make it easier, don't fold and glue the felts to the, velcro strap in the back of the Hat you, need to leave this free to adjust and, fasten to tighten it around different, head sizes to make the back look nice, you can fold and glue the felt to itself, leaving the strap exposed but covered, cut a rectangle of fabric and glue on,top of the white velcro strap use a,bottle to draw a perfect circle onto the, cardboard cut out the circle and make, two circle eyes cut out two larger, circles out of the white felt and glue, the felt around the cardboard circle, use the black felt to cut out larger, circles leaving two notches at the, corner of the eyes for character glue, the white eye to the black circle, cut out two smaller black circles for,the pupils and cut little triangle, notches out for the glimmer in the eye, glue the eyes onto the Frog add the, pupils last so that you can make sure, they are proportioned right and don't,look funny in the end cut out two, rounded rectangles for the nose holes, and glue them to the Frog cut triangles, out of the top of the rectangle yellow, piece of paper, curve the rectangle around and glue into,a cylinder cut little notches around the, bottom of the crown fold these notches,in and glue the crown to the Frog, subscribe to my channel for more, tutorials like this or check out my,website at mother made calm, you

DIY Princess Tiana Costume (Adult) 2021 | Kenned.i.y

first of all disney is racist what's,poppington it's your girl kennedy, welcome back to my channel,oh,several months later hang in there joan,so by the title you can already tell, that i'm making a princess tiana costume, and mind you i searched up and through, youtube and most of the princess tiana, costumes are,for children,um or it's like a tough, talkatorial walkthrough thingy um and i,just, can't learn like that like i can't learn, like that um i don't know if the way, that i did it makes people learn better,i don't know but as far as i'm concerned, this is the first tutorial, the first tutorial,um for a princess tiana costume and also,it's the first sexy one that i've seen, sexy risque sorry it's the first risque, one that i've seen,um,honestly i got this idea okay like a,couple years back my friend she was, belle and it was like that sexy you know, what's called secrets avenue or whatever,y'all know what i'm talking about that, background it was like a corset cute, little tutu bell costume,it was so cute like so sexy and i've,never seen princess tiana like that, never ever probably never will because, yes,so here is,my,what a major my,union, contribution,to,america because we need this we need, this for the culture it's for the, culture,so,yeah so follow me as i,make my birthday halloween costume,so let's start off with a list of,materials i got my corset from amazon, the tutu and the petticoat are both from, party city the fabric is from joanne's,and the rest is from hobby lobby,um look at my little cute little tiona i,put this here for reference, but, yeah so this is the garland it's a wire, garland,um and then yeah i already put the, stuff on the mannequin so let's get, started,so,first of all i measured how long the, tutu was and i made a rectangle that, long so that i can sketch a leaf shape, that size, and i cut it out on the fold for, symmetry, and then i cut out five of them and i,sew them together, after that, make sure you cut out little slits on,the curve so that you don't have any, tension, next flip them inside out and press them, down so that you have beautiful petals, laying down flat, and then you're going to sew a top, stitch,on the edges of the petals and one going, down the middle, and i hate it um if you like it you can, keep it this way but i don't like the, topstitch,i have to redo it,moving forward with the same length, measurements as a tutu i sketched out,two half circles on the fold or the, large green petals,so after sewing and pressing them flat i,pinned them to the mannequin so that you, guys can see what i was talking about, after sewing the petals together with a,straight stitch i laid them all down in,a straight line, and laid the elastic on the top and i'm,going to sew it all together using the, scrunch method, and then using a zigzag stitch, moving on to the top i roughly sketched, the, second panel of the corset, and then i,drew the leaf shape at the top so you,can see i cut it out,and then i'm going to,sew it together and flip them inside out,and press them flat, and repeat that step for all the little, panels on the corset, see so they're all flipped out and, pressed down, and when i'm gluing them to the corset,i'm only going to be gluing on the, boning so that it can still move my body, and i'm going to be gluing the petals to,each other on their seams, moving on to her flower in the front i,laid out the garland here's what i used,um and i pinned into the bodice so that,i can measure how long it's going to be,and then i just curl the little ends, and here's the flower i got from hobby, lobby it is in the christmas section and,it was on sale because i wanted this, little sparkly on it,super cute super fabulous,i took out the little acorn part in the, middle and then i glued all the petals, together and then i glued it on some, foam so that the brooch has a backing, and here is the flower clipped onto the, waistband of the green petal skirt,so in order to still get into the core, set i didn't glue the petals over the, opening,i glued it right on the outskirts and, then i glued a petal to its other petal,so it's like a little flap, covering that, then i glued the green petals only to,the bony, and what wasn't glued down i glued it to,itself at the seam, here i tried it on,so you can see,i still have access to the closure see,it's glued to its other, petal so you can just close that over, and then i glue the seams to itself so,it looks like it's still a corset, like are you guys even ready for this, right now,it came out so stinking professional, look at the detail i'm gagging, get into it come close come close, look at the,the sparkle these guys,i totally have outdone myself, when i finished i literally cried, six a.m i was finished, here's the back,if you look closely right here you can, see,um,my nails, get into it,but if you look down right below you can,see the elastic i just flipped that down, and that's how the skirt is attached, and the frog brooch was the perfect, touch to keep the petal flap closed, barely got any footage from the party, because i was having an amazing time, but look it's so amazing, like, shout out to my brother's girlfriend for, these amazing pictures, look at how she killed that, like, getting two way head so okay,oh yeah in my shoes my shoes you guys so,i just took that same wire garland and i,just wrapped it around the strap, easy peasy lemon squeezy nothing major,so yeah doesn't it come out so perfectly,i'm like amazing like no bias,i'm amazing you know, and it's crazy because like i waited so,long this took 10,hours i literally started the night, before my party,i'm a procrastinator, but yeah so i got it done though,oh yeah and this was a close-up of the, brooch that i got,i got girls too,you know it's from hollywood it's so,cute but yeah so,i just want to put that in there but i,hope you enjoyed this video you know, like comment subscribe you know do what, you do if you like it like it if you, love it sub it and you know um,yeah i'll see you next year i guess

DIY Kermit the Frog Halloween costume

DIY Kermit the Frog Halloween costume

hi everyone welcome to patch and access, thanks for clicking this video and today,I'm going to teach you how to make a,Kermit the Frog DIY Halloween costume I,love making DIY homemade Halloween, costumes every year I used to go out and, spend a lot of money and I would go to,the store and then you'd show up at a,Halloween party and there would be five, other people there with your same, costume so in order to avoid that I like,to get a little bit more creative now,and just make my own and I just find, inspiration from things that I think are, funny or things that I like last year I,was actually an Instagram, that one was really fun because I wore, this Instagram cutout because that went,so well last year I decided I was gonna, make another Halloween costume this year, and I decided on the Kermit the Frog, mean,if you haven't already please be sure to,subscribe to this channel and of course, follow me on all my social media links, until then let's get into it first, you'll need a few supplies green, crafting film a green headband a black, sheet of paper white foam glue a ruler, some yarn scissors a pen to make,Kermit's collar we're going to start by,taking a piece of foam and measuring out, pieces that are two-and-a-half inches, long from the center of each of these, pieces we're going to measure five, inches in length, now we're going to draw blinds to create, the triangles after we've traced the, triangles we'll just cut them out use,one of the extra triangles to make your, fifth triangle for his collar, now take your piece of yarn or string, fold it in half to find the center today,I'm using e6000 but it can't get a,little bit messy so I advise to get an,extra piece of scratch paper so you can,let the glue drip onto that now take, your triangle pieces add a little bit of,glue to the edge place the yarn or the, string on the edge and fold the foam, over it cut any excess foam on the sides, after you finish gluing all the triangle, pieces onto the collar we're going to,set it aside to let it dry while we get, started on our Kermit the Frog headband, first for the headband we are going to,create the pupils for Kermit's eyes to,do that I use a pen to draw a circle on,the black cardboard and the side pieces,of the eyes I simply cut out the shape,of the eye, once you're finished cutting out that, pupils take a little bit of blue place,it onto the foam just take on your eyes, now we have its eyeballs in order for,the foam to stick a little bit better, onto the headband I took my scissors and,I just shaved off a little bit, underneath now you're just going to take, the eyes on the headband and figure out, where exactly you want them placed on it,since I want to make sure that it drives, really well I'm just gonna balance the, headband,on a cup after our eyes are glued onto, the headband then we just let it sit to,dry after you create Kermit's collar and,his eyeballs the last things that I,added to this outfit was just this green, dress I got it off of Amazon I think it,was $14 and the shipping it was about 20,bucks,I was looking at rompers or some kind of,bodysuit but I couldn't find the right, color that I was looking for and this, was the closest that I could find the, rest of the pieces I got from the dollar, store so the foam I got there the, headband the eyeballs the little black, paper really easy all of that cost me,about five dollars the other thing was,the Kermit the Frog mug obviously,Kermit's mug is clear glass but I just, wanted to have my own take on it and use,a Crone mug and I know that he drinks,Lipton in the meme but I just grabbed, any teabag that I had around the house, and used it for that I had so much fun, making this Kermit the Frog outfit I,cannot wait to wear it if you guys try,to recreate this look please be sure to,tag me in your social media I want to,see it and I hope you guys enjoyed this, video let me know what you guys are, wearing for Halloween this year I would, love to hear about that so please stay,in touch on social media until then I'll,see you guys at the next episode

DIY CHOCOLATE FROG COSTUME | Harry Potter Cosplay

DIY CHOCOLATE FROG COSTUME | Harry Potter Cosplay

hello there our Potter friends welcome, back to the channel I'm Randy and simply, potter and today i'm going to be showing, you how to make your very own chocolate, frog costume but first if you're new to,the channel, hello and welcome be sure to click the, subscribe button and notification bell, down below if you want to be made aware,of one more cosplay creation videos come, out on the channel now today we are, going to be DIY our costume but but do,not fear because there is no sewing, involve minimal craft knowledge is,needed it's pretty easy and the whole, thing was put together for less than,$100 so really in terms of cosplay it's,actually pretty cheap so let's get to it,I'm so excited to show you this costume,so before I show you each piece of the, costume and how it was either box or,made I wanted to give a huge shout out,to the inspiration for this idea it's,actually extremely extremely random but,the inspiration came from an Amazon, review so Peyton if you are out there, and the Potter online community and, happy watching this video super huge, thank you for inspiring this idea the, first three pieces of this costume were, purchased and not DIY I will throw the, links to where you can purchase them in,the description below so the first item,to this DIY chocolate frog costume is a,corset this corset was purchased on,Amazon and it was less than $30 which is,super cheap for a corset and I think,it's perfect for chocolate frogs it kind,of looks like the detailing from a,chocolate frog box and it is a lace-up,back here and all you have to do is take, your measurements and compare them to,the size chart for the corset on Amazon, and it's a quick click to buy that piece, super simple the second piece to the, chocolate frog costume is a skirt and,now this skirt is super nice and flowy, and,Masha's the corset super well it is blue, with gold sequins and you're going to,maybe you want to get some shorts to,wear under this because when you move, around it does show a little bit of side, leg but if you're not worried about that, then you're good to just buy this piece, and this piece like the corset was found,on Amazon and it was also at less than,$30 so you have the whole base of your, costume already for less than $60 the, next piece to this costume is shoes, shoes you can get really personal with, and wear whatever you want you can wear, sandals you can wear boots for me I'm,going to be wearing flats so I like to,reuse pieces of old costumes I think,it's like money-saving and time-saving,so I'm going to be reusing my Golden,Snitch shoes for this and if you wanted,to do a gold blast I found a pair of,those for you and on Amazon through the, link down in the description below for, those if you want to do all your amazon, shopping for this costume at once or,what I recommend is hopping by your, local thrift store like goodwill where, you can find shoes for really cheap, that's actually how I get a lot of my,cosplay shoes so for the next item in,your chocolate frog costume we're,getting our feet wet with a little, teensy bit of DIY so this chocolate frog, here came from Walmart it is six dollars, and 88 cents and to add a little flair,to your chocolate frog costume you can, just pull this little guy right out of,the package and you can put him on your, shoulder now to get get them to stay on,your shoulder because obviously it isn't,going to stay up there by itself you're,just going to grab a little bit of,double-sided tape I got this at Target, and, you're just gonna pop a little bit on,your shoulder and a little bit on the, chocolate frog and you have a little, chocolate frog to sit on your shoulder,so we are currently four items deep into, the chocolate frog costume, the corset the skirt the shoes and the, chocolate frog that will sit on your, shoulder we have two pieces left of the, costume and they will both be DIY it's,I'm going to show you how to make them, and all the supplies you'll need for, them now so the first item for this DIY,portion of the chocolate frog costume is,a headband so we're gonna be starting, off with just a regular black headband, this was purchased at Target for $3 I,believe and we're just gonna embellish,it with some ribbon that was purchased,at michaels both of these together cost, less than five dollars and when it's all, said and done we're gonna put a,chocolate frog box on the top I'm,actually going to be using a jump frog, box from the Wizarding World of Harry,Potter at Universal Studios but if you, don't get to Universal Studios now or,don't have a chocolate frog box logo, magic actually has a printable for a,chocolate frog and I'll throw that in,the description below also with all of,the other supplies you're going to need, for this DIY portion and then to put it,together you can use the double-sided,tape because as you can see the, chocolate frog box doesn't stay closed, very well on its own and then to put the, chocolate frog on the headband we're,gonna be using some hot glue so to start, this project you're gonna need your, headband your blue ribbon here I,actually got some thin blue ribbon and I,got that because it's going to work well, with both this craft project and the, other one we need for the costume, and then you just need a hot glue gun so,to get started you're gonna grab your, band and just put a little dab of hot, glue here on the end for the ribbon to,stick onto at the beginning make sure to,press that on there really really well, then you're just going to wrap your, ribbon all the way around your headband,a nice tip is every so often it's nice,to grab your hot glue gun and just put a,little sprig down there so that your, ribbon eventually won't slide all over, the headband get it wrapped around the, glue so it'll stay stuck in that place, and then just continue with your, wrapping and gluing every couple inches, now don't worry too much about the fact, that you might be able to see some black, through here we will be adding more, embellishment to this and the chocolate, frog box will actually hide some of this, but honestly I think that the layered, look on this so far it looks pretty cool,so to finish this off just hot glue, right here at the end get your ribbon, stuck on that hot glue and there we have,at the beginning to your chocolate frog, headband here if you have any black, spots that are exposed you can just move, the fabric around in between the glue, spots to hide those and now we're going,to add the gold embellishment for the, headband or the next step on your, chocolate frog headband you're going to,want to grab your gold ribbon the ribbon,I chose was this ribbon right here which, was inspired by the chocolate frog, headbands that Amy over at geek oblique,Ute makes I will throw a link to her, headband in the description below to get,the ribbon onto the headband we're going,to use our trusty hot glue here again so,just go ahead and very slowly get some, glue on and start working your way up in,the band then when you get to the end, here we're just gonna snip it off there, you have it,the embellishment on our chuckle frog, headband now the next thing we're gonna,do is put the chocolate frog box onto, the headband as you can see it's going,to be pretty big if you wanted to get a,smaller chocolate frog box you can DIY,one of your own like I mentioned, previously a mogul Magic has one and,I'll link to that in the description, below I want to go ahead and use my,chocolate frog box and I'm just going to,throw a couple strips of hot glue on,here to close up the box because it does, tend to fall open pretty easily, there we go and then I'm going to aim to,put mine right about here so I'm just, going to dab a little bit of hot glue on,the headband and get the chocolate frog, box and hold it until it dries a lot of,pressure here so you don't want this, drunk frog headband to fall off while, you're wearing it and there we have it,the chocolate frog headband is now, complete now let's move on to the next, project, alright so now that we feel comfortable, with the first DIY let's move on to the, second DIY which is a chocolate frog arm, cuff so to make the arm cuff you're,going to need some wire this can be,found in so many different places I,purchase mine at Walmart for a few bucks, and then you're gonna take whatever, color you want from your headband either, the blue or the gold you're also going,to need a polymer clay because they're,gonna be making our own little chocolate, frogs this polymer clay was purchased, with a Michaels coupon for 40% off super, awesome trick if you're into di o eyeing,be sure to check my clothes or Joanne's,for awesome coupons on their website so,what they keep on this is six dollars, and then we have this super cute little, chocolate frog mold that was purchased,on Amazon and it was also six dollars, and then we're gonna put the chocolate, frog on with hot glue next we are going,to create our chocolate frogs now to get,a head start and save some time go ahead, and heat up your oven for your clay to,whatever temperature it says here mine, says 275 so my oven has been preheated,to that so when we make these moles the, clay is ready to pop in,now I love the color of this clay this, clay is craft smart from Michael's I,think it's the perfect color for, chocolate look at it actually kind of,looks good enough to eat again I have a,problem with wanting to be every dad, just pull out pieces of the clay here, give them a little roll and squish them, into the chocolate frog mold now if you, bought the same mold that I did you'll,see they're a couple different frogs, here I'm only gonna use these frogs, because they actually look like the, chocolate frogs that are sold at,Universal so you're just gonna squish, your little frog and make sure you get,him all the way into the mold so you got,a really squish down,to get it into the eye area just keep, working clay into the mold until you see, that it's made it all the way up into, the eye area,so you can just work the clay that you, have in the back and keep pushing it,forward and you know that you've got, everything because it won't push any, further,I'm not too worried about my chocolate, frogs being perfect you can kind of see, that there are a couple little cracks, inside of the mold for me again not a,huge deal, now we have this excess little buildup,of clay on the tray what we're gonna do,is grab my exacto knife and I'm just, gonna run it across the top you can use,any knife I just had one of these on,hand so I figured I would use it it's a,really good plane, you might need a couple separate runs at,this but eventually you want to get off,all of the excess clay here, and then very carefully you're going to,take your clay out of the mold, don't worry if it gets too bent up a,little bit we can put it back and do it,shape again you don't need to be perfect, there's nobody's gonna be judging the, looks of your chocolate frogs especially,if you're going to a Harry Potter, convention people that are so so nice,so I'm just working here to remove frog, just a little bit because this little, arm got smooshed and I was pulling it,out, from the bottom you really don't need to,care about how that looks because it is,gonna be going on your arm cuff like, this yeah yeah just craft as many of,these as you want and pop them in the, oven and go ahead and bake them so while, the clay is baking in the oven we are, going to take our wire I cut about three, feet for mine and then we're going to,wrap some more ribbon around it just, like we did with the headband it's I'm,gonna do that now here is what the wire, looks like after get all the ribbon on,it so now you're just gonna bend this, into whatever shape you want on your arm, after you get your arm cuff bent into, shape you're going to add on your, chocolate frog so I'm going to put in,just three of them onto mine and to do,that I'm going to use the hot glue so,I'm just gonna add a little hot glue to,the bottom of one frog and then place it,onto the arm in,I'm going to add another one to the, bottom here same way I put a little hot, glue on the bottom of the top of frog, make sure you really press it in their, wallet sets, add one more here to the middle of my,armband,no Allah you now have your chocolate, frog costume I've actually decided to,change something about the in chocolate, frog armband I actually think it looks, really cute down here so I put the one,end around my finger like a ring then, added another chocolate frog to the, wrist and unfortunately up here the, chocolate frog at the top just a little, bit too heavy at falls so I'm going to,do it to remedy this problem when I'm,wearing it is actually a shrimp of,velcro to the back of here and then, every time I wear it I'm just gonna, velcro it to my skin so we have this, little chocolate frog arm in here is the, completed look for the chocolate frog, costume this is obviously a little bit,of a run fair style chocolate frog and I,absolutely love it it was super easy to,make so here's the armband the froggy, and it's me a headband if you like this, cosplay be sure to give this video and, they go of sums up and if you want to,see more cosplay creations as they come, out be sure to click the
