How To Make A Gumball Machine Halloween Costume | Simply Dovie

hi guys and welcome back to my channel, and today I'm gonna be showing you how,to make this cute DIY gumball machine, this costume is for my daughter she's in,a club and they are having a Halloween, costume contest and their costume has to,be homemade so that is what we're going,to be doing if you want to see how I,made it just continue watching okay to,make this DIY bubblegum machine costume,I have an old white shirt of my,daughter's we have some red pants some, multicolored pom-poms I do suggest, getting these on sale or they possibly, have them at the dollar store,a hot glue gun a sharpie marker some hot, glue sticks a ruler I am using this, white dressmaking pencil this is just to,help with my drawing out my measurements,on my felt but you of course can use, your a permanent marker and just turn it,you know that side to it be on the back, side and of course I have my felt I have,a gray felt and I have a white felt the, good thing about this white felt is that,it has a sticky back I really wish that, the gray one,I had a sticky back but it doesn't so I,have some gray thread and a needle that,I will sew it onto the pants with and, you'll need some wax paper with those, pants I'm gonna take them and I'm going,to measure the front area where I'm,gonna have the gray which the gray is,supposed to be like the metal metal, front of the bubblegum machine so that's,where my ruler comes in and I am going,to measure from the top to about where I,want it to end and I say just a bit, above where if you have like a zipper, cover here so I'm going to make it about, five and a half inches and links and for, widthwise,I'm going to make it about five inches, and now I'm going to take that and draw, out those measurements onto my gray felt,oh and you're gonna need some scissors,to actually cut out your stuff so now,I'm going to cut out the gray material,so now I have the gray material I'm,going to go ahead and cut out my white, material that's going to go in the, middle where the 25 cents is going I'm,going to write the 25 cents on the white, label since my material is five inches, across I'm going to cut my white felt, material it's going to make it to be,three inches and length and width wise I,am going to make it about two inches and, since my white my white marker my white, dressmaker pins all isn't going to show,up on white I'm just going to go ahead, and use a pencil, okay one sign up that measured out I'm,going to go ahead and cut that out as,well now that I have that cut out I'm,going to go ahead and draw 25 cents onto, the felt okay so now that that is I put,the 25 cents on there I'm going to go,ahead and peel this sticky back this, backing off so now I'm just gonna stick,it in the middle of my gray belt here, now what I'm going to do is I'm going to,draw the it's going to be like the, opening where the gumballs would come, out of and I'm just gonna use a little, scrap piece of paper underneath it that, way it doesn't get on the table here, now for the top part where you would, actually I'm just gonna move this down, just a little bit that's the easy thing, about the stick on felt let me go ahead, and just trace around a quarter here, now I'm just going to draw a rectangle, line going through, now if you get this - if you had the, gray felt that have the sticky backing, then you would just be able to stick it,on the front of your pants but since I,didn't find any of that I'm going to,show it now onto the front of the pants, okay so actually what I'm gonna do is,I'm just gonna cut out the same side,on the white and then I'm gonna hot glue,I'm gonna hot glue the gray onto the, white that way I can just peel the, sticky off and I don't have to sew, anything so now I'm just gonna hot glue, also I think that this will protect from, any of the permanent marker getting on,to the clothes so this actually worked, out better than sewing it and will be a,lot quicker so now we'll take the pants, and just peel the sticker off the back,of this and stick it on to the front of,the pants, there is the bottom part of the DIY,bubblegum costume so now we're gonna go,to the fun part of putting all the, bubble guns on the shirt okay so you'll,take your shirt and of course you'll,measure where you want your you know, your pom-poms to end and I've already, done that so it's going to be about here, that it ends and that way the shirt can, still be tucked in I'm going to take, some wax paper I'm gonna put it in the, inside of the shirt that way whenever we,hot glue the palms down is not actually, going to hot glue the front of the shirt,to the back of the shirt, and I'm gonna start by putting my ruler, where I want the bottom to be and I'm,just gonna start hot gluing on my,pom-poms onto the shirt, okay so here is the finished top with, all the little gumballs on so here's the, finished gumball machine Halloween, costume that I made for my daughter I,hope you enjoyed watching this video if,you did please give it a thumbs up and, don't forget to subscribe thank you so,much for watching bye

CUTE DIY BUBBLEGUM MACHINE HALLOWEEN COSTUME TUTORIAL | EASY, FAST, LAST MINUTE, UNDER $2 | MIANA

hey guys welcome back to my channel so,today I'm here to show you my second,do-it-yourself Halloween costume the, first one that I created for you guys, was a mermaid and you can check the link, above to go and look at that but today's,Halloween costume is obviously this, bubble gum machine so this whole costume,is literally under $2 I had all the, materials at home the only thing I had,to buy were these colorful pom-poms for,the bubble gums and everything else I,had this little skirt this little shirt, and this is just made out of cardboard, and tinfoil and this is a dispenser for,the bubble gums so if your little bubble, gums can come out here you can put some, real ones in so when you go to the, parties people can come,trick-or-treating from you I love to,create do-it-yourself Halloween costumes, because it's affordable it's easy for, people with last-minute parties or,occasions that come up and it's really, just a fun and creative way to create, your own costume and spend $2 so without, further ado let's get into this video, and I'll show you how to create this, bubble gum machine,to start off creating this bubblegum,Halloween costume what you're going to,need is any basic top so I have this, white band oh that I never wear so this, will be perfect as the bubblegum machine, you're gonna need a hot glue gun you, guys might already have it at home or,you can buy it at any craft store and, also at the craft store you're going to,need to grab our some colorful pom poms,so these are to stick on the shirt to,replicate a bubblegum machine so let's,get started creating the top of our, costume all right so what you're gonna,do is lay out the shirt and slide a,piece of cardboard in between the two, layers of fabric because when we hot, glue the pom-poms on we don't want the, fabric sticking together so just put the,pom-poms everywhere on top of the shirt, okay so now that we have completed the,top I actually ran out of pom-poms I,should have bought three pops I only, bought two but it's fine I just stopped, and created a finish to line at the, bottom here and then when I put it on,I'm just gonna tuck it so it'll just be,a shorter shirt but it's still all good,so now moving on to the skirt so what, you're gonna do is just grab any plain, colorful skirt either pink or red so I,got this cute little pink one it's,actually my mom's she already habits in,the house so I'm just gonna wear this, this is gonna be the bottom of our, bubblegum machine and then adding onto, the skirt what you're going to need to,do is create a little deposit section, for the $0.25 Bubblegum's and then, you're also gonna need a section for, where the Bubblegum's come out so grab, any cardboard box you have I grabbed, this little cardboard piece this was a,corner of a coffee box so I cut it out, like so and this is just gonna go on the, bottom of the skirt and this is where, the Bubblegum's are gonna come out I'm,gonna line it in tinfoil so it looks, like it's metal from an actual bubblegum, machine and then this little part here, you can just get any two pieces of,cardboard with whether it's detached or,attached that's okay because we're gonna, end up having a double layered here I'm,gonna cut out a circle to put the $0.25,little,going in and that'll be our money slot,so let's get started to creating the, bottom of the skirt alright so we're,going to trace up this quarter so that I,can place the quarter on the money slot, later on to represent that it cost 25,cents to buy a gumball so I'm cutting, out this circle and then next I'm going,to measure up some tin foil and I'm just, going to cut this out and paste it over, this whole section of cardboard so this, will just replicate a nice metal, dispenser and then the next step is,grabbing some saran wrap so any clear, plastic you have and what I'm actually, doing here is just putting some clear, tape over top to secure the plastic and, make it a little bit stronger, because what I'm going to do is cut a,little door and this is where our, gumballs will have access to in and out,and I'm just lining it with purple so,that you can see it better, okay so now we completed our little, bubblegum contraption thingamabob so I,just wanted it to be like 3d and really, realistic so you can see exactly where, the 25 cent quarter goes in and then the,Bubblegum's will come up here and we,have our little door where you can take, out each bubblegum you can even put some, real Bubblegum's in here if you want, you'll definitely be the hit of the, party everyone's gonna want to come get, some gum from you so next we're gonna, attach this onto the skirt so this is,the little pink skirt that I'm gonna be,wearing today as the base of my,bubblegum machine once again I'm just, gonna slide some cardboard through the, fabric so that the skirt won't stick, together when I hot-glued the dispenser,on so that I'll stay with just that one, strip of glue and then next moving on I,want to create a little dial to,represent turning the money so I just, used a hot glue stick and I covered it,in tinfoil then I just glued that on and, colored some accents just to define the,Machine a little bit more alright you, guys so we've completed this spencer,I've attached it onto the little skirt, here just using some hot glue the shirt,is done perfectly and you saw at the, beginning it was a little bit longer but, what I've done is just tuck it up,because I wanted to have a little bit of,skin showing so this worked out, perfectly and that is the completed look,of our bubblegum costume $2 last minute,it can be created literally in an hour, max so there you have it thank you guys,so much for watching stay tuned for a,couple more last-minute Halloween,do-it-yourself video,so make sure you subscribe to my channel, like and comment this video and I'll see,you in this video

DIY Halloween Costume: Gumball Machine (Cheap & Easy)

DIY Halloween Costume: Gumball Machine (Cheap & Easy)

everybody loves them some gumballs,to be a DIY Halloween costume and I'm so,excited because I've never done one of,these before and the costume is going to,be a gumball machine so this is what I'm,wearing right now so here are the, gumballs and then I'm wearing like a,burgundy skirt with the gumbo mechanics,on it like the switch and then the $0.25,sign and then where the gumballs come, out and paired it with a red lip because, when I think of gumballs I think of red, gumballs for whatever reason I don't,know so give this video a thumbs up if,you guys want to see more Halloween, videos I'm doing a five-part series and, this is going to be video number two so,definitely stay tuned on my channel for, more Halloween videos so let's just get, started pom pom central up in Europe but,for real like you're gonna need a lot of,mops so grab on your glue gun because, you're gonna need to glue every single, pom pom individually so this process I,did speed up for the video I would say,it probably took me about an hour and I,think that's worth it so not too long, and I kind of thought that it was really, fun like it kinda reminds me of like a,vine number or you sue those latch hook, kids so it's kind of just calming I,don't know I kind of found the process, fun so I'm just kind of taking pom poms, randomly here,so now on to the skirt and you're gonna, want to take a great piece of felt I had,to use paper here because by accident I,just picked up white and black felt I,don't know why so I'm just taking a,crayon here to color it in so next, you're going to just cut out a symbol, that looks like this so that's just, gonna symbolize a handle that you would, use to get your gumballs and then this,is the part where the gumballs come out,of so it's just kind of like a small eye, rectangle with points and then the, centerpiece is just gonna say 25 cents, and I cut that out of white so now, you're just gonna glue all of those on,with hot glue just to kind of keep them,in place,so lastly you're going to need a red, skirt so I'm just taking what we made, here in taping it on so you can either, use hot glue or if using felt you can, also use hot glue or you can sew it on,and now time for the grand reveal even, though you guys already saw this at the, beginning of the video so thank you guys,so much for watching and I'm going to be,having as some more Halloween and videos, coming up later on this week so,definitely subscribe and stay tuned and,I'll see you guys in my next video,I

D.I.Y All the Time! Gumball Machine Costume

D.I.Y All the Time! Gumball Machine Costume

hey everyone welcome to my channel and, today's video is going to be a diy all,the time bubblegum machine costume and,the things you'll need a red spaghetti, strap t-shirt and a red skirt or if you, have a red dress even better, some construction paper you will need a,metallic silver red and i also go a step, further and end up grabbing a gray sheet,of construction paper and you'll also, need a black marker,a glue gun and some pom-poms lots and, lots of pom-poms,so i'm going for more of a high-waisted,style so the pom-poms i'm going to be,cutting them off at the midriff level, kind of like the length of a crop top so,in order to do so i'm just placing the, spaghetti strap t-shirt inside of the, pencil skirt just so that i get the, right length and then from there i'm,just going to add a few pom-poms just so,that i can align them exactly where i,want the pom-poms to cut off,so once i have a few pom-poms already, glued down to the t-shirt all i'm going,to do is just remove the pencil skirt, and just start going to town and filling,up that t-shirt with a bunch of pom-poms,and just for the record you can, obviously use fabric glue to do this i,just didn't have any and i knew that, pretty much a glue gun will do the job,as well so i decided why not just skip, going to the store and just use a glue, gun because i know that's gonna work, and then i really didn't have a pattern, when it came to gluing them down the, only thing i made sure was just not to,put too many of the same colors in one, section even though it looks like i did,at some areas but there's nothing i,could really do about that there there, were only so many different colors in,the bag but if you can just focus on not, putting so many of the colors in the, same area and like i said there wasn't a,pattern i was going for i was just kind,of gluing and pasting and putting them,as pretty much just trying to fill it up,as much as i can and as fast as i can, because it was,a lot of gluing to get done, okay now once all of those gumballs have, been glued down you're pretty much ready, for the next step the next thing that we,will make is the little 25 cent sign, where the little contraption of where, basically the gumball comes out of,so that's when you grab the metallic, silver construction paper all you're,doing here is just cutting out a,rectangle, which will vary in size depending on the, size of your skirt too so i,not really so much of a point to give, you an exact measurement on this, rectangle because if your skirt is,smaller you want a smaller rectangle if,your skirt is a little longer or larger, you're going to need a larger rectangle,so after cutting out that rectangle i,went ahead and made the two little, trinkets which is the little flap where, the gum comes out and then the little, knob where you twist after you add your,25 cents,so this is where i'm telling you that i,add the gray construction paper just so,that i can give it a little more, dimension and then i'm gonna outline, them in the black marker just to add a,little more of a pop a more kind of,cartoony look effect i guess,so here i'm just going with a pencil and, writing in the 25 cents just so that i,know exactly where i want them to be,and then lastly for this part you just, need to glue them all down, now the last step here is just to glue,it right onto the skirt, and once you glue that on that's pretty, much the end of the costume the next, step here is completely optional i just, had to go a little step further and make,it a little bit different because i know, that the machine has somewhat of like a,top hat we can call it so that's what,we're going to make here,so i'm just outlining a circle onto the,red construction paper and then i'm also, going to cut out maybe an inch, off of the construction paper just for a,little flap just to get a nice strip, going and then just glue that on the, edges as close as you can to the edges,of that circle you cut out,so this here is going to be the top of,the machine if you will or if you have a,red beanie that'll do just as well too,so once you have completely glued down, that strip of paper i also added a,little coin to the top of the hat where,i just kind of glued a little coin right,in the center, and this i'm not going to add any straps,or elastic to the ends of it i'm just, going to bobby pin them in my hair, but if you can if you do have elastic, just, glue some elastic from one end to the, other and just kind of wear like little, party hat that'll work too,and that's a very quick top hat,all right now once that's done that's,pretty much the entire costume, completely easy and fast to make just a,little time consuming with the pom-poms,but that's the only time-consuming part,so i hope you enjoyed this video, everybody and i can't wait to get the, other videos up i'm really excited about, them just want to say thank you for, watching and please subscribe
