How to Make Werewolf Costume : DIY

hey everyone so a while back I got a,request to do a werewolf related project, and I figured what better time to do it,then this month today I'm going to be,showing you how to make a few different, components to make a werewolf costume, you can make all of them some of them or,just one of them in order to put, together your costume there's quite a,bit to cover so let's get started first,we'll start at the bottom the feet these, are the most time-consuming pieces but, totally worth it if you have the time, and materials to put it together you'll,need a pair of shoes I used some flats, that were destined for the donate pile, shoes that cover the top of your foot, would be ideal like boots or just, regular sneakers or something like that, elastic if you're using flats upholstery, foam fake fur polymer clay or fake claws, hot glue a box cutter or exacto knife, and scissors if you're using a pair of,flats cut glue an elastic strip across, the shoes this gives you something to,attach the fur to cover the tops of your, feet later on cut four rectangles of,foam to make the toes use your scissors,to shape each piece into a wolf's toe, type of shape then cut away the bottom, part of the toes so they fit onto the, shoe like so hot glue them down, from the scrap Foam add a fifth toe a,little further back on the inside of the, foot if you don't have fake claws you,can make some with polymer clay just, take some chunks of clay shape them into, long teardrop shapes and make them a,little bit curved to make a claw like, shape then pinch the base to flatten it,vertically bake them according to the, instructions and paint them if you so,desire,I painted mine black with enamel paint,so they're all nice and shiny, you can totally paint these after you've,attached them to the feet because if you,get any paint on the foam then it,doesn't matter because you're going to,cover it with fake fur anyway use some, scissors to snip vertical holes on the,tip of each toe hot glue each quad place, all you have to do now is cover it with, fake fur working one toe at a time cut a,rectangle of fake fur and in the middle, cut a slit up about an inch or so make, sure to align it so the first direction,is pointing down and when you're cutting, fur I suggest cutting it from the back, pushing the blade up against the fabric,at the base of the fur and this should, help you from cutting off too much of,the fur, apply hot glue or on the base of a claw, and glued the fur down positioning the, claw in the slit that you cut slowly, glue the rest of the fur down cutting, off any excess fur where it starts to,bunch up brush the fur back about one or,two inches away from the tip of the toe,and then trim down the fur that's on the, toe, repeat for all of the toes once they're,covered and the fur is trimmed you can, cover the rest of the shoe cut long, rectangles of fur with the first, direction pointing towards the toes and, glue those down onto the sides leaving, about an inch gap on the heels then cut, another rectangle of fur about an inch, wide and glue it to the heel with the,fur pointing downwards brush the fur, over to cover the seam now use your, scissors to trim off the excess fur, around the bottom of the shoe to cover, the top of the shoe cut enough fur to,cover the top with the fur pointing, towards the toes and if you're using, flats and have an elastic strap then add,an inch on each side apply a line of,glue down the middle of the elastic and, glue the fur down glue the other side of,the fur flap down at the base of the, toes and then you're pretty much done I,wanted to leave the fur unattached from, the rest of the elastic so that it would, still stretch when I put the shoe on I,considered using velcro for the sides to,keep them from flapping up but I ended,up not having a problem because my pants, held the fur down you can trim and brush, the fur around until you're happy with, how the feet look now for some hands, you'll need a pair of gloves fake fur, scissors hot glue and/or a needle and, thread it would work best if you got a,pair of gloves that matched your fur if,you want to use full-length gloves you,can add claws to the end of the fingers, like you did for the toes but I wanted,my fingers exposed so I made these, gloves into fingerless ones to do the, same just cut the tips of the fingers, off flip inside out fold about 1/4 of an,inch down on each finger and tack it,down with some thread flip it back all,you have to do now is cover the top of,the gloves with fake fur you can sew the,fur down but I figured hot glue would be,fine since this is a costume and not, everyday wear or something like that and,it's much quicker start by adding the, small square or rectangle of fur to each, finger you will probably need to add an,extra to the thumb I suggest, periodically putting these on while, you're working on them,so you can see if you're missing a spot, and then you can fill it in when you, have all the fingers done glue one big, piece to cover the entire back of the, hand again check for any missing spots, and fill them in then apply glue around, the edge and brush the fur over and, around the edges into the glue this, hides the edge of the faux fur and then, you're pretty much done next a mask, you'll need a masquerade style mask one,of the ones that covers just your eyes,in your nose polymer clay faux fur, scissors black paint and a marker use a,marker to mark where the nose would be,on the mask and then sculpt the nose, with polymer clay I just looked at a,bunch of photos of dogs to help make it,the nose right once you're done with, that bake it according to the Clay's,instructions while you're waiting for,the nose to bake the mask can get, covered cut a piece of faux fur out, that's as big as the mask hot glue the,fur onto the mask with the fur pointing, upwards to make sure to cover the mask, without the fur bunching up weirdly, start by gluing down the center first, and be careful when putting hot glue, right on to the flimsy mask as it can, melt it I suggest adding glue onto the, back of the fur fabric instead and then, putting that onto the mask slowly work, across the mask until it's completely, covered, repeat for the other side trim the, excess fur around the edges and the eye, holes and then flip the mask back over, and start trimming the long fur down, around the nose and the eyes when your, nose is done baking you can hot glue it,onto the mask I painted this with more, enamel black paint to make it look wet,and shiny and then use some black paint,to add some detail around the eyes and,the nose like so and then your mask is,complete on to the ears a while ago I,saw a tutorial on how to make elf ears,by Claire Dilys who by the way has a ton,of awesome tutorials for special effects, makeup and just normal makeup definitely,go check her channel out I'll include a,link below anyway I decided to use her, tutorial and modify it a little bit in,order to make some werewolf ears you'll,need liquid latex the stuff I'm showing, here actually didn't work for me it's,kind of old so that's why I think it,didn't work I ended up using some newer, stuff and it was a lot thicker which, made the ear not as smooth but I was, going to cover it with fur anyway so I,wasn't worried about it,look what stuff does work and that's,what Claire uses I just think mine was,too old fake fur polymer clay a,paintbrush baby powder and a big fluffy, powder brush first I'll show you my,failed attempt take your clay make a,triangle shape with the base about as,wide as the top of your ear and as,skinny as your ear hold it up to your, ear and make a curb mark where the top,of your ear is onto the clay if you're,making your point a little bit bigger, like I did then use the mark as a,reference and add a small coil of clay,to the inside of the ear between the, mark and the edge of the ear and blend,it out this will give a little bit of,detail so the ear doesn't just look, weirdly flat on the tip repeat for the, other ear making sure to make a mirrored, version if you're using more liquidy, latex, string wire through the bottom part of,the ear you'll use this wire to help, string them up later now you should go,bake the clay which I didn't my thought, process was that the latex would totally, just peel off anyway so,I can peel it off and still have all, this clay that I could use for other, things, once you've baked them cover them with a,light coat of liquid latex use the back,of your paintbrush not the bristles as,this would ruin them start at the bases,it here don't go past the curved line, that you marked earlier and try to keep, this layer as thin as you can once, you've covered the whole thing hang it,up to dry the reason you'll hang them, upside down is so the extra latex will, pool at the tip of the ear which makes,it look more natural and helps keep the, edges thin which will help you blend it,into your ear later once it's dry add, another layer and repeat until it's,thick enough I did about four layers and,it was plenty so it went downhill for, this one soon after this even though I,waited to add more latex until the, previous layer was completely dry when I,tried to peel it off it was just not, happening I thought maybe the latex was, reacting to the unbaked clay so I,decided to test it out I put a little, bit of this old latex onto a ziploc bag,and next to that I put some of the new, liquid latex I waited for it to dry and, then I tried peeling it off the old, latex reacted the same way while the new, stuff filled off super easy anyway I had,to redo everything,I didn't bother attaching wire so I,could hang these ears up because the, latex was so thick that it didn't drip, instead I cut slits into some extra foam, that I had and I stuck the ears into, that as they dry so once you have all,the layers done dust the ears with baby, powder to attach the fur apply more, latex to the edges and on the back cut, some fake fur at the base and press it,into the wet latex align the fur so that,it's pointing towards the tip of the ear, this makes a little fur tuft at the end,and also makes the ear seem a little bit, longer, when the latex is dry dust some more, baby powder start carefully peeling the, edge away from the clay dust baby powder, onto the inside of the ear as you go or,else it might stick to itself and you'll,never be able to get it to come apart, and now you're done to apply these pin, your hair back you can pin some paper, around your ear to help keep the stray, hairs away to put some liquid latex, around the edge of the inside of the ear,and place it onto your ear hold it until,it's dry use some more latex around the, edge to blend it in with your skin then, use some makeup or skin colored paint to,color the parts of the ear that aren't,covered with fur and then you're ready,to go lastly I'll show you how to make a,faux fur stole I wanted to make, something that would mimic the fur, around a wolf's neck but also, potentially be something I can wear, other parts of the year so I settled, with a stool which would be super nice, and warm during winter you'll need a,pattern which I'll tell you how to make,in a second faux fur lining fabric hook, and eye closures pins a sewing machine, needle and thread and an annoying kitten,to make the pattern lay out some paper, and make a rectangle that's about 32 by,12 inches from the middle measure down, eight inches sketch out a boomerang, shape like so to make it easy and, symmetrical just fold it in half and cut,the pattern out spread out the faux fur, with the fur pointing down flip it over, use the pattern to mark it and then cut, make sure to cut the fur like how I,mentioned before try to keep the blade,of the scissors as close to the base of,the fur as you can,use the pattern to mark and cut the, lining fabric to pin the fabric together, right sides together when you do this, make sure to push the fur into the, inside of the fabric like this so I'll,round the edges leaving about four, inches open on the bottom flip it right, side out pin the fabric together and, hand sew the opening closed drape the, stool around your shoulders to find out, where you want to put the hook and eye, closure,I put mine about five inches from the, very tip so those on and you're done you,can wear this over your costume or under,to expose some fur as if your body is,completely covered throw on a flannel, shirt paint your nails black or attach, some big long black nails put everything,on and the costume is complete for me,since I wear glasses I'll probably just, leave the mask at home instead I'm just, going to do some werewolf type makeup, there are so many tutorials on how to do,werewolf makeup here on YouTube so I'll,just link to some of my favorites down, below if you're interested I hope you,all enjoyed this week's video if DIY WEREWOLF JEANS! | Simple & Easy Halloween Costume Idea | Ripped Jeans Sewing Tutorial

hello and welcome to my video where I'm going to show you how to make some, werewolf jeans. This is a simple costume idea for any kind of hairy creature that, you might want to dress up as, and I hope you enjoy this tutorial. Okay, so you're,going to need a pair of old jeans, some faux fur, some scissors, a needle and, thread, and if you have one a lint roller. You can really use any faux fur for this, although I would recommend long pile which basically means that the fibers, are long. The fur that I used was labeled frost color and it's basically a,black base material with white fibers. I think it adds a little bit of depth to,not just have one single flat color. And as for the jeans you can use any jeans,or any trousers - in fact it's best to use some that have seen better days. As,you can see, the pair of jeans I'm using are definitely tatty but I'm going,to utilize those big holes in them to my advantage. Okay, so the first step is to,add some more holes to the jeans. I wanted to add these holes randomly on,the front and the back of the jeans, and I wanted most of them to look like, they've been slashed with claws, so we're therefore making most of the holes quite, long, like so. You want to use your scissors to add a handful of holes all, over the jeans - just bear in mind that you're going to be sewing around each of,these holes so don't go overboard otherwise it will take you longer to,make. As you can see I made an array of different sizes and shapes, including a,kind of star shape as though the fur was exploding from the leg. Once you've cut,out the holes you then need to cut out the corresponding faux fur pieces so I,used my scissors to cut out a sort of rectangle shape from the faux fur that, was the same length as the hole. These faux fur pieces can be a little bigger, than the holes in the jeans, but make sure that they're not smaller, otherwise, that'll lead to bunched up denim. Every time after cutting the, faux fur make sure you remove all of the loose fibers that now exist on the edge.,As I'm sure you're going to learn, the downside of working with faux fur is,that the fibers get everywhere. In fact, it might seem a little bit over-the-top,but I would recommend wearing some kind of breathing mask because you don't want,to be breathing these fibers in. Also, if you have a lint roller handy that's,great for cleaning up your work surface. Once you've cut out the piece of faux, fur, push it through the hole in the jeans so that you can only see the base, fabric from this side. This is simply to hide the long fibers to make sure that, they don't get in the way of the sewing. Then line up one edge of the faux fur, with the corresponding edge of the hole.,We're now going to sew these edges together, so cut a long piece of,matching sewing thread and fold it in half. The folded thread should be about, the same length as your arm. I then feed the ends of this thread into,my sharp hand sewing needle. I then need to secure the start of the thread to the, jeans so I move to the beginning of the edge I want to sew and I take the, needle through the edge of the denim from the inside to the outside. Don't,pull the thread at the entire way through the denim but instead leave a,loop. Then take the needle through this loop and tighten. This secures the, thread and now we're going to stitch these edges together. So take your needle, through the edge of the faux fur from back to front and then move straight, across and take the needle through the edge of the denim from the inside to the, outside - and you just repeat this all along the, seam. So you go down through the faux-fur, straight across, and up through the denim.,Down through the fur and up through the denim. And you carry on repeating this, all along the edge until you get to the other end of this hole.,Once you've sewn up one side of the hole, you need to make sure that the faux fur, aligns with the other side of the hole. So to do this all I did was cut the faux, fur into a nice curve so it's aligned with the curve of the hole in the denim. Then,I removed all the loose fibers. This allows me to line up the faux fur edge, with the denim edge, and then I just repeat what I did on the other side in,order to sew these edges together. This simple stitch is called the whip stitch.,Then once you've finished, you need to secure the end of the thread. To do this,,take the needle into and out of the denim very close to where you just, finished stitching, pull the needle until there's just a small loop of thread, remaining, take the needle through the loop and tighten. I then repeated this, again, so I went into and out of the denim to make a small stitch, then took, the needle through that loop twice, and pulled the thread tight. Cut off the excess, thread, and then you've finished and this is what the result looks like,on the inside, and the outside. I then proceeded to do exactly the same for all,the holes in the jeans except for a couple of them which I treated a little, bit differently. For instance, for the large pre-made holes in the knees I,wanted to make it look very natural and have some of the surplus denim just, hanging loosely at the front. Therefore, I didn't sew the edge of the, faux fur directly to the edge of the denim. Instead, I folded the surplus denim, outwards to make kind of flaps on the outside of the jeans, and then I sewed, the edge of the faux fur to the fold of the, denim. I'm just showing you a bit of that process here, and here you can see the, result. I also did the same for the star shaped cut on the back of the leg to,make it look like the fur was bursting out of the denim. To do this, I first, folded all of the triangles of denim to the inside of the jeans. I then sewed the, edge of the faux fur to the folds of the denim, and this is what that looked like, from the front.,And just as a last note I wanted to add that if you're finding the inside of the, jeans a little bit scratchy because of the faux fur you can always add some, kind of lining. I did this using fabric glue to attach pieces of fleece. And,that's it - the jeans are now completed!,You can do the same process to t-shirts or any type of clothing in order to make,a full costume. I really hope you've enjoyed this, project and thank you very much for watching.

How To Make A Werewolf Mask

How To Make A Werewolf Mask

hello my name is Karina Bona and I'm a,professional puppet and prop maker and, today I'm going to show you how to make,a werewolf mask to make our wolf mask, you need a paper plate some paper, scissors a stapler masking tape some, marker pens some string and if you've,got some paint at home paint to finish,it off, take your paper plate and draw yourself, some nice big mean eye holes for your, wolf and the next step is to cut these, out and I do that by piercing the plate, with my scissors once I've made a bit of,a hole I just go around and cut these, out neatly along the line I've drawn so,now for my next step I'm going to take,my thick paper and I'm going to fold it,in half to make my muzzle so I'm going,to take the fold and pop it into the, middle and then I'm going to cut along,in a semicircle like that and then I'm,going to open it out and using a bit of,Pritt stick I'm going to turn this into,a 3d shape take both edges and connect, them up like this and then you're going,to bend this forward to create a nose, shape so let's get a bit of print on,that so that it can all stick together, once I'm happy and I feel that my muzzle,is well stuck down I'm going to put a,bit more prey on there and create my,nose with flap that I've left sticking, out so just pop a bit of PVA down on,that and position it like so that gives, you a nice big curl give your wolf an,angry snarl East snout now be liberal, with your prick stick it's always good, for these things to be really well stuck, down great now I've got my muzzle shape,I'm just going to cut some flaps along, the back this is so that I can connect,it to my paper plate once I've put a,fair few flaps in there I'm just going,to bend them forward like this and use, some masking tape to attach this to my,paper plate don't worry about your, masking tape in its position if it shows, because once we get our fur on to our,Wolf's face our paper fur you won't see,the masking tape at all make sure you,use plenty of it just so that it's,really nice and secure and it won't slip, soft and don't worry about any bits that, may overlap into the eyes we can cut all,of that away with our scissors or at the,end okay now I would like to give my,wolf some very sharp teeth so now that, that's positioned I'm just going to take,my scissors and cut away some triangles, that gives my wolf is scary snarling, mouth there we go and I'm going to cut, away this area of my plate just so that,my mouth can fit comfortably into this, mask without feeling like it's right up,against a plate turn the mask over to,cut this makes it a lot easier you can, just trim this away until it's nice and, neat to make our Wolf's ears take, another piece of paper fold it in half, and cut yourself a big pointy shape like, this now because wolves are pretty wild,I like to cut some big jaggedy edges, into their ears they get into lots of,fights with their fellow wolf kind and, that often means their ears look very, tadi there we go so that's our Wolf's,ear and then I'm going to put a slit, just up the middle, and as you can see I've got two ears out,of that now to give the ears a bit of a,curve I'm just going to cut that slit in,there and fold them over and glue that, down so again using my print I just, connect that ear together and I do the, same with the other ear, there you go,so now to stick my ears onto my plate,I'm going to use a little bit of print,on the back of them and also some, masking tape just to make sure that, they're extra secure so that's starting,to give our wolf a good shape and now,we're going to move on to doing the, wolf's fur, take another piece of paper in again, fold it in half this time I want you to,cut along the fold just to separate the,two bits of paper and then we're going,to cut in a zigzag across them, don't worry about this being neat this,is going to give us our wolf's fur that,we attach to the sides of his face so,with what we've cut out all that needs,to be done is take some prints tick and, again apply to the back of this for a,gel and stick it on to your wolf repeat, this step for the other side if you need,to add a little bit of masking tape just,to make sure that that stays in place do,that along the inside,so with these extra bits that I've got, left over from my cutout I'm just going,to carry on adding some fur to his face, now I've popped some print stick on the, backs of these and they should be,sticking nicely and any other excess, bits that you've got you can turn into, things so I think my wolf needs some, very scary eyebrows so I'm going to put, these two bits together and cut along, them in an arch shape just to get that, lower bit of eyebrow and then snip into, them keep them that pushing effect, great and if I separate that I've got,two eyebrows and I'm just gonna stick, those down over wolfies eyes just to,bring them together so using a bit of,Pritt stick I'm going to pop those on,top of his eyes now I'm not sticking, them down fully I'm just sticking them, down along the base of the eyebrow so,that all these bits can stick out and, give it a little bit more texture now,any scraps or spare bits of paper I can, just chop into and turn into more fur,and that can help me disguise any bits,of tape that I don't want visible so I'm,just going to pop that down there,so once I feel like all of my paper fir,has been built up and is well stocked, down Wolfie is ready to paint now to,paint your wolf at home you can use, anything from poster paints to acrylic I,had a bit of black spray-paint knocking, around so I just sprayed him down and, what I did afterwards was take a little, bit of red acrylic and just work into, the jaw and the nose and the insides of,the ears and I took a pen at the very, end and just went into these teeth to,give a bit more definition and that, really helps to separate all the, elements and draw a little bit more, attention to them so yeah take your time,at home and get war feet so that he's,doing exactly what you want him to pop a,couple of whiskers on there if you feel,he needs them and if you'd like to see, these eyes defined a bit more clearly, just take your black give it a bit of an,edge so to secure Wolfie to your face, just take a bit of string pop it near to,the eye holes and then with a stapler, all you've got to do pop a few staples, into that to secure it into place now,you repeat this step exactly the same, way on the other side if you don't want, these staples near your face all you've,got to do is put a little bit of masking, tape over those to make them more secure, and once that's done you take your mask, put it to your face pop a knot into your, string wherever you need it so that the, mask fits you snuggly and then Whoopi is,ready to wear, and that is how you make a werewolf mask

DIY Wolf Headdress!

DIY Wolf Headdress!

hi guys Haley of mock child cosplay here, and today we're going to be working on a,wolf headdress so first things first, credit where credit is due this pattern,is from casual cosplay I bought it off, their Etsy store I believe it was five, dollars when I got it but this was a,while ago their prices may have changed,I'm going to have a link to that in my,description this is technically a mask, pattern,um that I don't actually need all of the, pieces, the pieces that I don't need there's,only like two of them and it is like the, bottom part of the jaw so I went ahead, and cut all my pieces out of the fabric, and then moved to drawing everything, onto foam,um you're gonna see in a second here I,referenced the pattern uh it's really, important especially when you're working, with a pattern that you yourself didn't,make that you take a look at all the, registration marks and all of the, instructions and that you cut everything, out exactly as written that person has, made that pattern they've worked with it,before they know better than you would, about how to put it together yeah here,we go these instructions were awesome, incredible really really clear super, handy to have on hand is that why they, call it handy because you have it on,hand anyway uh cut it out I only used, four millimeter EVA foam this is,basically just a base and it holds its, shape super duper well it doesn't need,to be anything super thick or dense this,is just like sort of standard gray EVA,foam from TNT cosplay Supply I think I,have an affiliate code with them I don't,know I'll have to dig around but if I do,it'll be uh in the description of this, video,um so yes as you can see here there are, some pieces of this pattern that have to,be cut out just like a normal 90 degree,uh blade and then there are pieces that, need a bit of an angle once again the, pattern is super duper clearly marked, and so are the instructions this was, honestly, super great and straightforward to work, with, also for those of you that don't know,I've worked with this pattern before and,I actually this is my second world, headdress I made one back in oh my God,like 2018 for a Merck wolf costume,um and people really liked it and I,always said that I would make a video on,it and it's been, almost four years and here we are,um while that it's been four years, anyway I put the pieces together per the, instructions um using contact cement, this is just barge I love barge barge is,so good and that foam like will the foam, will rip before barge gives out it's,such a strong strong adhesive because, this pattern is like kind of fiddly and, complicated once again I reference the, instructions and the instructions even, had instructions on how to like like, what order to glue everything in which,is super duper handy,um and because like this thing is super, weird I didn't want to mess it up and,you know instead of just winging it I,yeah wanted to follow the instructions,um which is interesting because I feel, like foam work tends to be a lot simpler, when it comes to putting things like, pieces together than sewing,um but I never ever referenced my,pattern instructions for sewing I only, ever look at the instructions for things, when it comes to foam,um,yeah oh also if you're wondering why you, have to cut things at certain angles, inwards or outwards at an angle it's,because it'll absolutely change the way, that the foam adheres to itself and the, shape that it makes so here you can see, these were two,um angled edges by the eyes and I glued, them together and it kind of gave like a,really cool concave sort of look and, angled out the eyes and created a,cheekbone sort of effect here I'll put,it on that little uh the little snoot, little nose Snoop thing gluing it on,nice what isn't shown in this and I'm,like actually kind of really surprised, that it was so much of this time of,putting this together it was about 30,minutes of me like putting glue on the, pieces and then walking away for three,to five minutes while it dried like you, never notice how much time that takes in,your crafting process until you like, start to record it oh also this piece, there were definitely like a lot of,registration marks that I didn't,transfer over to my phone I I'm such a,naughty naughty filmmaker and I hardly, ever put my registration marks on it you, totally should do as I say not as I do,thanks y'all um so what I tend to do if,there aren't registration marks and, you'll see it in a couple of places is I,will like, put one Edge and then I'm sorry one, corner of the piece and then the other, corner of the piece here we go you'll,see it right here it's like Edge Edge, and then I I kind of work my way from, both sides equally so that way,um no particular one side is getting, stretched more than the other oh this is,such an awful awful angle you can't even, see what's happening,um but I'm gluing like the cheeks onto, the forehead piece and uh yeah,to control like wear any weird extra, pulling or material is gonna go,um this is the last piece that kind of,pulls everything together it's the nose,I do kind of wish that I had, sort of angled, where the Nose meets the like side of,the face more,um I feel like it's it's pretty straight,up and down and I think a little bit, more of an angle would really give it a,bit more of uh life oh oh so we're,moving on um that was quick so once, you've cut all your foam pieces out, you're actually going to basically take, your pattern and transfer it all over to,fabric of your choice and by fabric of,your choice I do mean faux fur so my,pattern pieces are going to look kind of,funky I took some time and I actually, wanted like a really interesting like, split of all of the fur and like the, markings and stuff that I wanted to do,so I took my pattern I'm sorry I took my,foam head and I drew out the design that,I wanted and then I transferred that, over to my pattern and then fiddled with, all my pattern pieces so that way I,could get everything exactly you know, how I needed it,um if you're ever working with faux, fabric oh my God faux fabric if you're,ever working with faux fur and it's your, first time hey heads up one of the best, tips that I ever learned in my entire, life is to cut out your pieces with an,exacto knife and to do it from the back,it's such a simple thing and like it's,go you it's gonna it's gonna change your, mind it's or not change your mind it's,Gonna Change Your Life,um it's such a simple thing but it,really helps make sure that there's no,like crazy FlyAway hairs because if you,cut them out with just scissors and like, you're cutting the fur on the fabric and,it's just you're gonna have so much run,off and you're gonna have to vacuum so,much after my pieces were all cut out, from my faux fur I very professionally, very particularly sort of gluing that, all with the hot glue like right onto, the foam bad this is basically like, making a fursuit but like only one part,of a fursuit and,um,you know honestly,I kind of get why people are making, jokes about me being a furry because, like I get it it makes sense,um I'm not and then nothing against, furries like if that's what you want to,do then like live your life but that's,you know this is it this is as close as,I get to being a furry it's like this, and like the topaz that I made for the, merckwolf costume oh my God I'm a furry,um and oh God I want to do a cat girl at,LARP dude am I a furry is that,am I a furry,I don't think so I just like only had, like a little bit of an,amphylochromorphize like wolf Persona in,middle school but like it was only like,a little bit you know, and it was totally like black wolf with, red fur tips and red glowing eyes, because I was like a little goth kid, wanna be in middle school anyway keep, huckling down um you're gonna see I have, like three or four different colors of,faux fur because I really wanted to add, like mention to this and I I really, really tried like super hard to make it,look, real which is kind of goofy because this, pattern like it's it's such a specific, aesthetic that you're getting with this, pattern and it's kind of like cartoony, kind of over the top which is is really, great for like my miracle for example, where like the original inspiration for,the design was cartunian over the top,um,I,I mean I wouldn't say that I wouldn't,recommend this for a more Super, realistic wolf head but like I feel like, there might be other patterns that might,uh give you a better result than this, one but this pattern really does kick, ass like I cannot I love this pattern, like this is my second time using it and,I've got a friend who made a mask with, the same pattern out of leather and it,looks super cool like there's so many, different things that you can do with, this pattern it's so versatile,um but like with any pattern you know, know its limits and like know your, limits and like don't be trying to fry,new things don't don't be a trade to fry, don't be afraid to try new things,um my wolf had a bald spot,I don't know exactly how that happened, but I added in a little stripe of a,different color of fur and I kind of,wish that I hadn't,um because I feel like it's super, obvious now looking back but like hey,you know it's gonna happen oh also we,are going to jump very soon,um past a piece of of this making of,that I did not record,um we're gonna jump and you're gonna see,it I don't know how to describe it,there's like these tendril fur things, that kind of hang off the back of the, wolf,um and those are basically teardrop, shaped pieces of faux fur like super, long super wide that I literally like, hot glued into a tube and then sewed on,oh hey here are the ears,um and sewed on to the back of the, headdress like that is the shaping if,you're ever wondering about those like, fur tenderly things on the back of my,work both headdress like that is what,it's just faux fur I think on that one I,actually sewed it up because I was like, hot glues for suckers and now here I am,hot gluing everything hot glue is for, winners oh let me explain really quick, why I think hot glue is the best glue, for this job,um especially like if you're very aware, and you know you're quick and don't,leave your costumes in the hot car so,basically I don't know about you guys, experience with hot glue but when I have, ever hot glued foam together like foam,to foam the foam will rip before the hot, glue let go like that hot glue was there,I really feel like the hot glue oh also,I had to shave the fur down after I put,it on,um this took way too long and I looked, like I was a dog groomer for, three days like all of my clothes were, covered in fur so the hot glue like to,me I think it basically welds the foam, together and melts the pieces to the hot, glue and then to each other,um following that if you've ever gotten, like hot hot glue like liquid hot glue,on your clothes and then like let it,cool down you know that that stuff gets, like ingrained that's in those fibers, forever it's not coming out so like, genuinely adhering fabric to hot like oh,my God fabric hot glue adhering fabric,to foam I think hot glue is like the way,to go it's going to take a lot for those, pieces to separate especially if you, like really really slather down hot glue,on that foam and then take your Fabric, and while it's hot um of course use some, sort of hand protection like push it,into the hot glue to where you can kind,of see the hot glue through the fabric, like Dash it is going to stay it's not, going to move also uh I really really, made sure that I was carving out the eye, holes with my shaver this is just, literally like a hair shaver super duper, easy but um I wanted to make sure that, the eyeballs that I glued in would, really pop and by the way oh here we go,here are the ears these ears were made, separately as you saw it's literally, just one millimeter foam with like fur, glued down and then shaved down um they, look really cool they were literally, sewn on to the headdress like through, the foam through the hot glue through, the fur they're pretty sturdy pretty, stable it's the exact same way that my,ears were sewn down to my other, merckwolf and yeah here you go you can,see I'm doing like these really really, big like wide stitches they don't have,to be perfect they don't have to be,clean because you've got all of this fur, everywhere, yet they're not gonna, know,um yes oh I was gonna say really quick,uh with the eyes the eyes,um are resin cast so like I said I made, this pattern or not pattern I made a,headdress already like years ago and at,the time I sculpt eyes and a nose, actually out of sculpty and then made a,mold out of it because I had a feeling, that I would like need to do more of,these I don't know why because this is,it's been four years and this is the, only other one that I've made,um but that was kind of what went on,through my brain and it came in super, handy and the mold definitely, disintegrated as I pulled this pull of,the eyes out like that mold is garbage, now it it was you know what it did its,job I respect it because it was like 20,molding and casting supplies from,Michael's and it really held in the, eyeball because at this point I was, rushing I made this headdress in I think, about three days,um this was just glued in with hot glue, and you can see it was just resin cast, and then somewhere along the way I was, like, you know what you know what's really, really really gonna be cool we're not, there yet so I'm trying to like stall um,but like it's gonna be like super duper, like sick when I hand this over, like at LARP to this person that's,getting this headdress is gonna be, Wicked if this lit up right, like are you kidding so I took a little,LED string and I made a little pocket, for the battery to go into I'm really, weird I always like batteries to be,accessible so you can change them and, stuff I know like sometimes I see people, that just like hot glue the battery, packs down and I'm like homie what are,you gonna do,um but I made sure the battery could, like slip inside there and it could so I,took the lights and I like rolled them,up and glued them behind the eyes and, then put EVA foam behind the eyes to,ensure that it wouldn't like, glow underneath as much, yeah,um from there the base of the teddress,is actually like to keep it on your,Noggin It's attached to a baseball cap, like this was a five dollar baseball cap, from Michael's actually I think it was, probably 10 because I think this was a,stupid Cricket hat yeah it was because, they don't just sell like cheap ugly, black no they're not ugly just like, cheap black baseball caps anymore like I,was searching all three when I was like,I got any other baseball caps and they, were like no it's just these Cricket, ones and I was like that's so stupid I'm,paying six more dollars for a brand name, anyway you can see those little things, holding uh falling off those are the, tendrils that I was talking about,um but once I sewed the headband on and, glued the nose on,um we were done and this was it and this, thing looks really really nice,um especially for like a little,three-day build this is for my friend's,LARP character and I think this thing is,sick as health so thanks bye love y'all, foreign

Halloween Makeup Tutorial Wolf Costume

Halloween Makeup Tutorial Wolf Costume

everyone happy Halloween today I'm going,to be doing the wolf costume tutorial, for makeup and then you'll be able to,see photos of the whole outfit on my,blog lipstick and chiffon comm so for, this Halloween costume I mean the big,bad wolf and John's going to be Little,Red Riding Hood so a little twist there, and it should be fun and I'll make sure,if you guys follow me on instagram at,lipstick in chiffon you'll be able to,see a photo of both of us on Halloween, night so I hope you guys have some fun, costumes plan for yourselves and you, know comment in the comments below and,let me know what you are being so let's,get started I've already done my,eyeshadow primer the NARS smudge proof, eyeshadow base so that's vital so when, you're doing this you want to make sure, you have black eyeliner some black I,still have some gray shadow here and, then I have black out from Urban Decay, eye makeup remover and cotton swabs cuz, otherwise it's trying to get straight, lines is not always the easiest thing in,the world so I did my foundation already, and I'm doing a little bit of a contour, here and then I'm going to be using Kat,Von D's homegirl lipstick for the lips, with a little bit of a black contour on,the lip alright so first step I did was,I used freestyle from Urban Decay it's,just a neutral color just to pack some, neutrality down and so that the shadow, sticks better to shadow next you want to,make sure your pencil is nice and, sharpened and this is that NYX,waterproof eyeliner she said to use it,again,so I already did my waterline underneath, here so now I'm just gonna do kind of a,quick line over top of my lashes I'm,gonna go back over this with a liquid, liner as well, since some of the shadow will probably, cover it up so you want to draw this, lime just straight out as best you can, sometimes it's hard with a pencil liner, that's why I have a nice little q-tip,to straighten it out and define that tip,a little bit,all right before it dries it's usually, easier to smudge away have a tiny brush,on hand as well cuz that's gonna help, you smooth out the line so if you're not, very good at doing straight lines this, may be a little more difficult for you,it might take a little longer but that's,alright next I'm gonna do this, this nose portion right here to connect,to the eyeliner so I'm going to start, over here and then like come up so if it,helps you you can sketch it out first, and then go back and perfect lines or,just go little bit by little bit because,we're gonna go back over this with some, shadow and then I'm going to be using, the liquid liner later to help define it,all right so try to eyeball it to make, sure it looks somewhat even all right, all right so I'm going to take a pause, and then go back and then not, everybody's notice it has straight sides,so I have a little curve here so I'm,just gonna go slowly over that so it,doesn't make it look like I have a huge, bump and see I already messed up so I'm,gonna go back in with a q-tip later and,if I didn't fix that up and I'm gonna be,coloring this whole under belly of my,nose so if you really hate the length of,your nose it's gonna be a nice little, camouflage for you,and then try to do little connecting, somewhat triangle things here to connect,to the line to the nose so it's not just,a line and then the circle, okay, color it in,so if you normally have like your, eyeliner is normally a kind of pricey, one like my NARS one is not the cheapest, one ever so that's why I have this one,to use for the bigger surfaces since, this is just a Halloween costume and, there's really no reason to use it all,of my black eyeliner for one night, alright so I'm going to go in with my,q-tip and a little bit of makeup remover, help to clean this line up so you always, want to go back over with the dry side,so that you don't get any drip from the,eye makeup remover which could mess up,everything else all your hard work,I'm gonna use my concealer brush you, might want to try using a tinier brush,so that you don't have to worry about it,messing up any of your work that you, just did so I'm gonna go back over this, make it darker, and to make sure this is nice and even, all right it's pretty good it's pretty, pretty good all right so now on to,working with eyeshadows so when I first, did was I used some gray and started, blending that in,so go all the way out to your corner out, here bring it all the way into the, inside corner and a little bit over here, you want to make sure it says even as,possible so I'm mixing between a lighter, gray and then a darker right next I'm,gonna go in with a smaller brush and I'm,going to use this kind of vanilla like, shade from this pop palette it's pretty, pigment pigmented you're gonna want to,try to use a white or cream shadow that,is just so it can stand up to the darker, colors that that you're using everywhere, else so they're wise you're gonna have,to do a lot a lot of layering so I'm,gonna go back with my gray brush and, help to smooth out so you want to go,back and forth between blending and, placing color,I remember try to place and then blend, otherwise you'll end up with some, fallout next I'm going to use this, shadow in charmed,it's from total intensity it's this new, brand that I found at Ulta and I decided,to try it's pretty cool I will say the, color was not exactly what I was, expecting but it works it was a little, more orange than I thought it was gonna,be definitely more pigmented than I gave,it credit for but that's alright, now I'm gonna go in and start getting, the black which I'm using the Urban,Decay blackout shade so I'm gonna go,over some of the liner cuz I really want,to blend it and it will help perfect, some of the lines there so I want this, whole corner to be super dark and then,it'll blend into the lighter color over, here,so this might be easier when you're,doing it just to go one eye on them one, eye,so then it's more you have more likely a,chance that it's going to be perfectly, even I'm gonna do the eyeliner over here, and then work on my bottom lash line, because whenever you're putting on,liquid liner you really want to take a,hold of that eye and pull it outwards so,that your skin is smooth and it makes it,so much easier to draw that line, alright next is this part which is going,to be a little more difficult than the, rest of it was I'm gonna go ahead and, clean up a little bit because if you do,a little bit at a time you won't have a,huge black smear to fix with all this, intricacy down here to deal with a,little bit more but light color alright,so next you want to do this eyeliner, underneath your lash line on your bottom, lash line area try to go really lightly,at first until you get the gist of where, you want your eyeliner to be placed I am,NOT connecting the bottom and the top, lash line area I'm gonna keep that space, open I'm gonna draw a little bit further, down to give a thicker triangle space on,that bottom lash line, because you know like wolves have, beautiful dark eyeliner around their, eyes this so alright white eyeliner it's,gonna go right in between these two and, then in your waterline, alright now to do this space, all right so you're gonna draw a line, and then you're going to do a little, triangle to connect it,and use the little brush again it's,gonna help you a little bit, when I go in with a q-tip clean that, edge up ever so slightly,so it mashes a little better and you, want to hold this skin tight as well, because it has a little bit more, movement to it than the rest of the eye, area,it's usually where the Baggies hang out, okay, and that concealer,I'm going with the liquid liner pen, right now,to help intensify this space, and go,kitu liquid liner pens us to kind of,push them either against your hand or,against like a piece of paper towel to,help get the ink back in the tip of the,pen okay this is just a clean brush, right now to help buff away some things, evening things out so that's what the,end of your makeup it's gonna be for, this look is you're gonna go back, through and make sure everything looks, pretty much even and then you're good to,move on so let's do some brows so I just, brushed mine out first pretty much just, bringing them back to their natural, state and when I did is I'm going to,draw a line on the bottom portion of the, brows extending them a little bit and, then kind of doing some flicks upward, and then I'm gonna go back with that, teeny brush and make sure this little, brush only touches the black because, otherwise you're gonna have to worry, about any shadow diluting the black, pigment, okay then bring it down I'm gonna curve,it there, all right cool we have the brows go with,to go back with some powder and get that, and then next we're going to do a little, bit of the contour so I used my Laguna, bronzer first from NARS to add some, depth before I add it the black it'll,help it,it'll help blend it a little bit more so,use your bronzer that you have make sure,it's not too orange and then dip it once,in the black eye shadow, and then blend it back go through with, your foundation and then I used my Dior, shimmer brick for the highlight here you, don't have to use that part I just I,wanted to I'm gonna do a little bit of a,highlight down the nose put that, highlight shade that I used on the eyes, and then now we're onto the lips so use,a little bit of your black, eyeliner,it's mainly going to be in the center, and then off to the side a little bit so,you just want to make sure you have I,make remover at the end of the night, okay's otherwise you're gonna have black, all over your face and then just go over,it with this lipstick or whatever dark, lipstick you want or just makes it more,of an edgy wolf I guess, all right if you want you can go through, with a brush,to even it out and one the colors, alright next final thing you want to do,is use the settings for you either use,the Kat Von D lock and load or the Urban,Decay one of their many varieties, alright I hope you guys enjoyed this, last Halloween tutorial for 2015,stay tuned for 2016 next year make sure, you participate in the Halloween, giveaway which is usually about two to,three weeks before Halloween starts so I,hope you guys enjoy this and happy,Halloween have fun stay safe and enjoy,me beautiful

DIY easy kids werewolf costume - Stop the Pin-Sanity

DIY easy kids werewolf costume - Stop the Pin-Sanity

hey guys welcome to another exciting, episode of today's pan is for my son's,Halloween costume I'm a little behind on,my costume making cuz the kids have been, sick this week so now Halloween's,tomorrow and another day so I am a,mother on a budget I have three kids,Halloween costumes cost roughly $30 each, sometimes more depending on the, difficulty of whatever and so I can't,afford that that's like ninety to a,hundred dollars for just costumes I,can't afford that so between my three, kids I have spent about fifteen to,twenty dollars and that's it I'm gonna, show you how to do things on a budget so,the one thing for his costume I did buy,are these sheets of craft furs what they, call them at Michaels they have, different colors I liked this one it's,kind of got a blackish-brown look to it,so it's a little more where we'll see, them in black that I'm in grey, everything but it's not real fur it's,just synthetic fur so I bought that, everything else is leftovers from, outgrown clothes if you have a boy like, mine,he runs holes in his knees like crazy, mine does it drives me insane, and so these jeans were getting a bit, tight anyway so we were gonna have to,throw them out because most people you, know we tried to yard sale stuff but, nobody's gonna buy it with holes in it,so I held onto them because I knew it,would work perfectly for his werewolf, costume here is a plaid shirt that he's,also outgrown and we're gonna rough it,up scuff it up and make it look kind of,werewolf II as well so to get started,I'm going to reposition the camera, okay so we have our craft fur and like I,said these were only two dollars each at,Michaels, and I used coupons to get them that way, there is I think four dollars before a,good one okay so what we're gonna do,we're gonna have to turn our leg inside, out now there are several ways you can,do this if you feel like sewing be my,guest, like I said I'm behind so I'm trying to,do this as quickly as possible without, just completely fudging it up now if you, don't have jeans that are torn you can,if you have some leftover jeans you can,cut them run them through the wash you,can also take sandpaper to shred the, edges and that will help give them that, raggedy look or if you'd like I said, most boys they have at least one pair if,not more that I already do this so what,we're going to do I'm going to cut a,piece and this is probably gonna be,messy because like I said this is,synthetic here and were you put in the, hair lays it's gonna come flying off how, about a key,so if you hear a kid talking in the, background it my daughter okay, now there are several ways you can do,this you can sew the edges I'm gonna, shoot hot bluing just because I am in,such a hurry to get this done but what, you're going to do is you're going to,secure these ends but not go all the way, around because you want it to be able to,have some give when he moves his knee, and stuff and you want it to be able to,go through so what you're going to do is,you're going to put a layer here secure,it down and around it in that way it,kind of poops out okay so we are going,to try to hot glue this I think just, personally me the best way is to,actually cut the fur down on that, because you're getting more to the felt, bottom which just felt with fake fur put,on it and that way you're gonna get more,of a secure, hold right there on that edge yep here,we go try to glue it down see how about, secure it down down the fluffy hair can, stick through the hole, okay and then I'm going to do the same,at the top and like I said I'm gonna, make it so it poops out more because we,want it to look like he's SuperDuper, furry so we're gonna cut the excess fur,off the top of that as well, okay so now I left extra because I don't,want to have it so close to that edge, that it pulls off so I actually just, left extra so it's more removable on the, sides because if his knee pokes through, that hole then that stuff will help, cover that oh thanks the jeans tighter, them, there you have a nice hairy me,now since he only has the one me I feel, like I need a little extra beside that, nice so I thought I'd give him some, holes you're kind of funny to do it,where the pocket is I'm not scared of,try new things, pull the pocket off now I got a big old, hairy butt cheek,he'll just love that he'll think it's,hilarious so we're gonna do the same, thing we did with the other, okay and there's his wolfy butt cheek,I'm not gonna give them a wolf tail I,guess you could if you wanted to but, like I said I'm trying to do this on a,budget you could always take another, piece of like the long stuff and have a,tail coming out but we're just gonna do,it like a wolf man not so much as a,actual like almost total wolf and I said, just do it tell you feel like it's,Whoopi enough you know if you have two, torn out knees do that and then I'm,gonna work on the shirt now okay so like,I said this is just a shirt heat out, groan we could have put it in a yard, sale but it's plaid and everybody seems,to think plaid is just a little thing, that werewolves wear so when you look at,online werewolf costumes are all wearing, plaid so we're gonna go with it um it,doesn't have any holes or anything so,we're gonna have to improvise just a bit,on this,I could totally tear the pocket off or I,can make some splashes I'm trying to,figure out do I think I'm about to tear, out the shoulder I can get it that way,so I can strip the same but sometimes, that doesn't work now we have a torn out, shoulder that we can work with the shirt, and we're gonna just do the same thing,we did on the pants there you've got a,little hole out,it's really close to the edge there so,I'm gonna take a precaution and lose, just this little edge so it just doesn't,pop out, there's a shoulder I suppose if you were, wanting to do facial hair you could get, some liquid latex and play around with, that we may play with that for a,tutorial I'll have to see okay now you, know you can always do an elbow just a,little hair isn't become a new,now a little elbow can stick out,now one of the things I was really, wondering about was how I was going to,have kind of a hairy chest my son's only, seven so he's not ready for that yet I,thought I could do liquid latex or I,might be able to pull off something like, this now as you can see the fur lays too,you know in a direction just like any,fur would so this edge is going down and, what for the chest you probably want the, edge going up so it looks more natural, like a hairy wolf's chest, okay so we have Wolfie all set up I have, hair in my lip box it's everywhere and, what we're gonna do we're gonna safety, pin his chest hair because this shirt is,a bit on the snug side and also I want,to be able to make sure I position it,and I don't want to do that hot glue, around my son,I'm putting it here in the seam for the, buttons because it's much it's like a,double thickness there so that the, safety pins not going to be as,noticeable don't mind my children, they're just making all kinds of noise, mmm, man let's Demick they're just like this, daddy how do you appreciate that, okay button yeah, and I think I think a high collar look,is important right now I think so there, you have it,we spent Murli any money we got this, last year on markdown after clearance at,Walmart so it didn't cost this hardly, anything do you like it kind of freaking, kidding her out so his plan is he is,going to sit in his grandma's front yard,on a chain not actually attached and, scare people as they go by his daddies,do this when he was little and so he's,picking up the tradition so until next, time, you

Easy DIY Cosplay Fangs!

Easy DIY Cosplay Fangs!

today i'm going to show you how to make, these realistic custom fangs on the, cheap stay tuned, quick disclaimer before we start these, are small pieces that you're going to be,putting into your mouth so they are a,choking hazard and probably wouldn't be,appropriate for some small children, alright so we love a good costume here,on skilltree now whether you like to,larp or cosplay or just dress up for, halloween the odds are you've needed, some realistic looking chompers at some, point for everyone loves to channel, their inner creature of the night or you, know tiefling cleric whatever now you, could go for those awful bargain store, plastic chompers or you could break the, bank and get those really nice ones that, clip over your teeth and are like movie, quality but i'm here to offer you a,third alternative that starts with these, cheap fake nails you can get at a,drugstore these are just the kind that, you glue into place and already have, this kind of enamel look to them in fact,i used them as teeth for my zombie, costume last halloween and they are, super realistic you'd be surprised now, while you're at the drugstore you're,also going to want to grab some of this, fixodent denture adhesive stuff does, exactly what it says on the tin it's an,adhesive to hold dentures in place i,think at this point you see where we're,going with it so first things first, using some scissors cut your soon-to-be,teeth into a beastial point now says, these bad boys are made to go on your, fingers i find them to be quite a bit, wider than my natural canines are so i,just went ahead and held them up to my,pearly whites to assess how much needed,to be trimmed down then i just used the, scissors again to thin them out to what,i thought they should be now when i test, them out against my teeth they look much, closer to my natural size and thus a bit, more realistic happy with that i just, used a bit of sandpaper to get rid of,any sharp edges and just clean up the, overall shape okay from here it's time,to put these bad boys on to do so i just, added a dot of the denture adhesive to,the non-pointed side then i carefully, place it over my tooth and held it in,place for about 10 seconds to assure it,adhered correctly doing the same to the, other side gave me this sweet set of,fangs that look realistic and hold on,pretty securely i liked it so much in,fact that i even made a bottom set for a,more beastial look and check out how, realistic these things look the coloring,is perfect i love it and when you're,ready to remove them you simply give it,a good tug and they just come right out, though the adhesive feels really weird,in my mouth afterwards and the best part,is these bad boys are reusable they are, custom fit to your teeth and whenever, you want you just add some more adhesive,to it and stick them back into place, well make sure you're cleaning them, between uses because that could get, gross real quick, and there you have it you are now able,to easily and cheaply give yourself some, pretty realistic fangs for all of your, costume needs i hope you liked this, episode if you did why don't you give me,some of that thumbs up love and don't,forget to subscribe so you know when i,release new content in the meantime, though, keep leveling up you,you
