How to Dress A Lady Pirate Part 2

this is part two of the how to dress, like a lady pirate series dressing, alright looks pretty good you just need,to tuck we found that if you tuck it in,underneath the skirts and you put the, corset then it keeps it there while if,you leave it out then it tends to right,up alright so let's get you in this, corset, there are tides here that are on the top,and bottom which you can then pull up,but we're going to do a different style, alright so you're gonna put your arms, through here this is the front with the, shorter laces we're going to untie it,and then just pull these out so it's all, even so there's our knot on the front so,you should never untie that as well as,the knot in the back so there's a whole, bunch of lacing in the back that we also, link to untie, and so that these all become even so,that all pulls out so these have what's,called a modesty panel both in the front,in the back and that allows that could,be the continuous fabric all the way, around alright so put your arms above, your head and then we just slide this, over so a bunch of X's and there's a u,right here we're going to pull that you,and I'm going to hand it to her and then,I'm just going to pull all the slack out, from each side towards the middle you, don't want to over cinch it in the front, you just want it to be touching each, side then we want to look at where her,it sits on her waist and we want this to,sit just a tad bit lower because as we,tighten it it will slide up a bit since, there's no strap shouldn't it sit at,well T well then what you're going to,get is this this huge gap in the front, that looks like you don't have any press,so you want this to be right where the, maximum circumference of your press, display the best okay we're going to,pull these modesty panel across look for,the used in the middle pull that as much,as you can,and then I'm just going to pull the, slack out and then you're going to pull, all right so now there are laces that go,on the top these two and then there is a,number of laces that are on the bottom, you only need to pull the ones that are,on the top all right so you're always, going from the ends towards the middle, and we have found that this is one of,the most effective lacing systems, and even though it looks fairly complex, and you know once you've done it a few, times you can really it becomes very, easy and here we're doing that in a,number of stages instead of trying to,fully tighten and close in one, tightening we're doing it in a whole, bunch of little type things and so it,evens out better and you should all only, tighten as tight as she feels, comfortable or maybe just a tad bit more, than that but you don't want to ever use,the knee in the back because here the, tightening is all done by the lacing, system and if you have to work that hard,it's probably too tight so here I'm just, going to tie this like the front and,I'll overhand knot, there's two big loops two small loops,I'm just going to keep pulling so that, these are all about the same length and, then I'm going to double tie that, alright so here it's giving her a very, hourglass shape which she looks, wonderful in that and then what we can, also do here is we can drape these up by,just tucking them up on each side and,you could also even maybe grab the, middle and also tuck in as well and then, here it's giving her those more, historical wide hips which was very, popular during the 1700s so that's it,for a proper corseting of a lady pirate, and we're going to go and see where,Laura is,with her corset alright so here she has,it fitted just right in terms of the, corset this one it's X in the back it's,tied just the same and then here we this, one that has additional ones on the side, that can be tightened up as well and, just like hers if we wanted to we can, grab it in the middle or even farther, down and then just tuck them up them so,now we can show a little bit of her, bloomers off to the side right so she, wants to be scandalous and show her, undergarments Chicana alright so let's,look at some accessories now all right,so previously we talked about how we,wanted to avoid the green against green, and we had talked about putting a,different contrasting color so our Lady,Pirates ashes are only eight feet as,opposed to the men's 12 feet and they're,designed to wrap around one side wide, and then here and usually is it would, have been best to do it before we put,the corset on I'm rotating a little bit,so that my tie comes right off to the, side there,so I'm just going to do a twist like, this and so this is I won it wide on one, side and narrow on the other okay and, then the same thing I'm going to do I'm,going to open up the sash and these, ladies pirate sashes and bandanas are,the same matching color and tone we grab, the middle okay put your finger on your, forehead there and then we're going to,just tie a knot right behind one ear, okay so then that we have our tale of,our bandana and our sash is on the same, side, okay and for you I might suggest we go,with one of our velvet hip scarves so,you can get a little bit of flashing to,that and then it's just going to,sometimes it goes over but sometimes it,goes right underneath the corset for its, best look and the same thing it's wide,on one side and it's narrow on all right,so there and also maybe we want to grab,a matching red and then, all right so then and I'll here we have, been Dennis and maybe we want to get a,hat and I've been looking around and I,think why I we have this lovely black, and red hat it's a little bit more of a,later time period but I think it matches, the colour and tone of your outfit and, looks very good on you and then for you,we have one of our custom-made,hats and up on one side called the,Cavaliers style I mean just like that so,then we have these very good matching, colors of gold and green that matches, the rest of your outfit so we just have, one more set of accessories to do you, know because sometimes you need to hold, guns and and skirts and money and other, things alright so we're here at the, leather department where we're going to,add our final touches to the outfit so,for you we you know many regular belts, they're designed to go straight across, the middle of the corset which then, defeats the whole purpose of the course, that were you trying to make the middle, thinner so we've designed this special, lady pirate belt where it actually goes, around and uses the corset and gives you,a more thinner line alright but we need,to add a few little accessories too like,I think we want to add some skirt hoops,do that so that she can tie that up and, then I think we're going to add a,perfect famine terrace all those in that, code and then here is the parasol and, parasol header and then I'm putting the, skirt loop from the other side and then, you always do like carry your keys and, your money so we have our final belt, there,Christian's get one less,we can always cut this so it's not so,long so now we have some accessories, here and then instead of them being tied,up here we can just loop these through, the skirt groups and they're more secure,by the way better side,so here on their belt so we see we have,a place for some of our money a skirt, loop on one side Paris on parasol holder,on the other and skirt loop and a fan,and fan holder so everything right and,so if it works which a corset instead of,against it,okay so for you the feisty fighting type,we're going to add two accessories one,big one for a short sword, sort of that gunslinger kind of look and, then we're gonna put up gun holster on,the other side, all right so here we have a double, barrel rotating flintlock but you have, more than one shot and then we have a,short sword that goes on the other side, and then we also have piece tights so,that no one can steal your sword,so here we have two weapons evenly, distributed and sell so if we look at,our entire outfit we have someone that's,color-coordinated when top to bottom as,well, that's her so for all your pirating, needs from head to toe, think about pirate fashions

PIRATE HALLOWEEN HAIR TUTORIAL

PIRATE HALLOWEEN HAIR TUTORIAL

hi everyone if you guys want to see how,i got this cute messy pirate hair look, keep watching,so the great thing about being a pirate,is their hair is not perfect by all, means it's actually very like i don't,know they're out in sea so what does, that mean it's like tangly it's just, super effortless so i'm gonna curl my,hair and wave it a little bit but by all, means it does not need to be perfect we,don't want it to look, pretty it's more of a messy look i mean, they're out and see come on do they like, have a hairbrush with them probably not,so the more messy tangly it is the, better i'm going to quickly wave it i'm,going to alternate the waves because, that gives more of an effortless vibe,i'm going to use a 1.25 inch curling, iron the bigger the barrel the looser, the wave so that's kind of what i'm,going for today so always start off with, some heat protectant this is from sexy, hair,i always section my hair but for today i,don't even think i'm going to section it,to be honest grab big pieces and just, put some wave in there you can wrap some, pieces around you can curl the less, uniform the curls are the better so,that's what i'm gonna do and yeah okay,so i'm gonna take big sections so here,i'm gonna curl away from my face i have, the clamp in the front and i curl away, from my face and as you can see when i,take it out i drag down and i kind of,tug on the curl so it's more of a wave, and not a bouncy curl and then over here,i'm going to alternate it so the next, one i'm going to curl towards my face i,have the clamp in the back and i'm going,to twist the curling iron towards my,face again when i take it out i kind of,drag it down and tug on that wave so,it's not a bouncy curl and for the front, pieces i make sure to do both away from,my face, and then the rest i kind of just wing it,so i'm gonna use it as a wand i'm gonna, use it as a curling iron you guys can do,it whatever you guys want just make it,super effortless and not so uniform so,here i'm gonna wrap some pieces, going away from my face going towards my,face and i'm clamping here, and then on the other side same thing, just curl away from your face when you,do the bang area but the rest you can, just do whatever you guys please so you, guys can curl some you guys can wrap, some you guys can alternate it just make,it super effortless um,the, less uniform the better, and the less bouncy the better too so i,like to kind of just, let the curling iron go and not curl all,the way to the ends because i don't want, the ends to be too curled,as you saw i wasn't putting really any, effort i was just wrapping some pieces, curling some pieces taking big pieces, leaving some straighter too but adding a,texture spray is going to make it even, more messy more textured open up the, waves a little bit and just give it more,of that like if you're in the ocean type,of feel,so spray that on,and honestly i'm gonna add a bandana up,top so the top doesn't matter usually,i'll be fluffing it for more volume but,not necessary here,to make it more messy you can back brush,it a little bit,now i'm gonna add random braids in my,hair um so you could pick up whatever, pieces i think i'll probably do like two, here to here a regular three strand, braid,i'm going to take some volumizing, texture powder and to make the braids a,little bigger and fluff them up it adds, grit and it just helps me really expand, those braids, and i just rub on them you could pull, them, like individually you could pull on the, edges like this but i just like rub on,it and it expands them, okay,i have these little rings that i got on,amazon they're hair rings i think that's,what i put,in it so you just i'm just gonna stick, them on the braids, and last thing to dress this up is a,bandanna you can do the ones that go,like that so you don't have to cover, your whole hair but i i only have the,one that like it's pretty big,so i'm gonna have it like a triangle i'm,gonna put it over my head like that, and then wrap it around, tease it a little more and then i'm all, done, and just, judge it up with your fingers like this, mess it up,so yeah so this is my pirate look let me,see if i can show you my full outfit i,don't know if you can see everything i,hope you guys like this look it's,honestly so easy because the messier you,are with it the better so just have fun, with it make sure to comment below if,there's anything else you guys would, like to see like and subscribe also, follow my instagram because i give so,many hair tips on there and i hope you, guys like this video and i will see you, guys next time

JACK SPARROW | DISNEY PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN | HALLOWEEN MAKEUP TUTORIAL | Victoria Lyn

JACK SPARROW | DISNEY PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN | HALLOWEEN MAKEUP TUTORIAL | Victoria Lyn

ahoy there mateys and welcome aboard the,Black Pearl I am the captain of this, ship and this is beautiful Halloween and, this tutorial I'm sharing the ever so,memorable ever so smoked Jack Sparrow, makeup I love pirates the Carribean and,I hope you enjoy my take on this look, now let's find that some treasure me,hearties batten down the hatches loves,it's time to prep the skin I'm popping,on a sheet mask to start off and this is,gonna replenish and hydrate my skin make, sure to leave this on for 20 minutes to,make sure my under eyes are super smooth, and bright I'm applying an eye cream for,a dewy finish to the skin I'm applying a,facial oil underneath this foundation,it's going to give a beautiful glow like,we've been sailing on the high seas and, mateys I'm using a jelly face primer and,I'm just blending that into my skin and, spraying on a dewy mist all over my face, and don't be too stingy with the Divi, mist because it really helps achieve, that Jack Sparrow sweaty glowy look, unfortunately I'm not as Sun Tan as Jack,Sparrow so I'm gonna be using a liquid, bronzer for a sunkissed look this one,has a gel like consistency so it leaves, this glossy finish on the skin here I'm,applying a dewy finish foundation mixed, with a liquid bronzer all over the face, evenly using a beauty sponge and I'm,gonna go ahead and blend that down my,neck as well now you can add concealer, and I'm applying some under my eyes and, around my face just to even out the skin, tone and add a little more coverage,I'm going to shape the face using a,cream contour bronzer applying to the, cheekbones the jawline forehead and also, down the nose not only will this help, thin out the look of my face for more of,a sunken in look but it will also help, add much-needed color so it makes me,look really tan and this has a reddish, tone to it so it makes the tan look more, natural to further highlight I'm adding, the concealer under the contour line and,the tip of the nose set that in with, just a little bit of loose setting, powder not too much of this because you, still want the skin to look a dewy, inside for brows I'm filling in with a,dark brown pomade just following my,natural brow shape and then I'm gonna, set them in with a clear brow gel here,I'm highlighting under the brows just to,clean up the shape a bit and this will, also raise them up more to get a sunburn, chic look I'm using a red lip color as,blush and using a lip color will add, some more shine to the cheek area add, liquid highlight on the cheekbones for a,glow as shimmery as deep-sea treasure, moving on to our big ole smoky eye I'm,starting with a black base and I'm,blending this all over the lid with a,fluffy brush it's important to remember, when you're creating a smoky eye you, want to build black so start with a,little bit and just keep adding as you,go and Pirates of the Caribbean jack has,a very grungy worn in eyeliner look so,I'm applying some eyeliner to the, waterline and the upper lash line and,I'm gonna go ahead and smudge that out, with my brush, picking up some black eyeshadow on my,brush I'm applying to the inner and, outer corners of the eye to create this, halo eye shape so you want to make sure,to leave the center of the eye blank,Jack loves his eyeliner so add some more,of that if you need to and I also find, using a beauty sponge to blend out any, harsh lines really helps get that smokey, blended look and it makes it a little, less perfect and more grungy I'm,applying a foiled golden eyeshadow to,the very center of the lid and this is,going to make the eyes glow and look, almost wet I'm using my brush and also,my fingers just to blend out the edges,I also added another foiled gold over, top of that and this one has a bit of,green in it time for glitter me hearties,so I'm adding some glitter to the center,of the lids and also on the lower lash, line streaming down the eyes I love to,build different types of glitter, together for the ultimate shine so I'm,using a few different sizes of glitter, here you're talking to a glitter expert, here I decided I wanted to add a pop of,teal to this look so I'm applying some,to the halo eye just dabbing on the, inner and outer corners of the eye add, some mascara to those lashes and pop on,some falsies, picking up a contouring powder I'm,adding some shading to the areas I,contoured before with the cream bronzer, and I'm just setting that in with this, and also bringing in some more shadows,so basically just emphasize everything, with the powder I'm applying a golden, highlight all over the cheekbones and, basically all over the face for a Jack,Sparrow all-over glow for lips I'm gonna, line them with a pinky nude lip liner, and I'm filling in the lips with a,liquid lipstick and this is a beautiful, nude color it's more of a brown in need,I also applied this golden lip gloss, over top just to tie the Gold's in,together for this look time for the body, glow I'm using a liquid highlight all, over the chest area where my skin will,be showing and I top that off with a,highlight I'm wearing on my cheekbones, and for extra doing this because we,can't get enough of it I'm missing on a,dewy spray all over the chest for a wet, look and this really does leave your, skin looking wet pop on your costume and, accessories I decided to pop on a lot of,rings and chunky hoop earrings Jack has,a red criss cross on his eyes so I'm,using a red cream paint to apply it you,can also use a red lip liner to do this,as well, jack is a little extra in this and I'm,wearing two wigs for this look the first, one is a dark brown lace front and the, width I'm popping on top really ties, everything together with his signature, dreads hairstyle can't forget the, bandana this is signature and key for, this look,we got to get a little touch-up in so,more black eyeliner and lastly I popped,on a gold teeth avast e this is the, final Jack Sparrow makeup look and this,is the day you will always remember as,the day you almost Colts Captain Jack,Sparrow if you love this look be sure to,give it a thumbs up and subscribe for, more tutorials if you want to see more, looks if you want to hear more accents, you know the drill, thank you so much for tuning in to boo, typical Halloween and I'll see you in my,next video oh oh and stay tuned for, bloopers and behind-the-scenes right now, this was all shot very late at night so,enjoy,it looks like you're done it looks like,a Dodge,do they part of the Red John, which idea what are you doing alright so,they give you a bottle oh yeah they, should, well you said Disney character he turns,around,1800 it's like somebody like this kids, don't drink oh let me slide while you do,that,I'm serious subscribe,oh my god is yeah that was cool if,I if I would have been focused you have,a pair of boots mom I could put on and, hang my legs over the chariot wha,t she doesn't in the ride are you gonna, put on the boots though are you gonna, bring it on in let's just keep getting, shots

Making a Pirate Shirt - for casual wear & costumes! (CAN I DIY?)

Making a Pirate Shirt - for casual wear & costumes! (CAN I DIY?)

onward I one time I remember one time, probably about six months ago,my boyfriend told me something along the, lines of this yeah it would be cool to,have a pirate sherry pirate shirt that's,what stuck in my brain for this long, now I must make him a pirate shirt for,his birthday, because he needs a pirate shirt he just, told me once that he might want it but I,think he's gonna need one he's gonna, need it okay so I'm gonna try to make, him one and hopefully it works out okay,so while I was at the 5th store I got, these two little cheesecloth II type of,fabrics that I thought I would use for, this pirate shirt and it would be like a,nice in you know flowy type of situation, going on so to make sure this shirt fits,my partner properly I'm going to use, this shirt I'm wearing which is actually, what he gave me funny how that works out,it's just about the right fit that I,want for this shirts and, want it to be like a pirate shirt but, like a wearable pirate shirt like one of,those hipster ones so you could wear it,for a costume if you wanted to but you,can also wear it in day to day life, that's the goal for this and obviously,I'm going to change some of the style of,the shirt like the collar and that back, thing but I'm just using this as a gauge,to what will fit him because other than, that I really would have no idea and you, know it's nice making own patterns in,still a while it's pretty hard but you,you can do it if I can do it and so all,I'm doing here is tracing out the back, piece by putting my finger on the seam, and trying to find the right curvature, cutting that out after I add two seam, allowance don't forget that part and, just checking with my ruler to make sure, everything is nice and straight now I'm,doing the same for the front piece which,is different because these shoulder, cutouts for the sleeves are different, for the front and back and so you know,I'm just trying to work with it I,realized after I only had to trace out,one side because I could just cut the, fabric on fold but I still did it like, this anyways and Here I am cutting out,the collar nice and symmetrical by,folding it in half and cutting in a,semicircle I know that with Wendy has a,stellar video on how to do this, perfectly so if you want to know more, information on how to do this go hit up,her video and yeah it'll be much more, perfect than mine anyways now I'm,cutting out my fabric of the patterns I,just made I'm just doing this on fold, and it's less work like that so you'd,have to cut out two sides sewing hack if,you didn't know, well yeah in order to make sure my,pattern works I'm using this scrap, fabric first and making this shirt out,of that to see if it fits and if I have,to make any adjustments on that so,behold this granny fabric shirt cutting, out the rest of the fabric in three two,one go,oh yeah once I have the front in the, back body pieces I sew it together along, the shoulder seams after that I lay it,out to tackle the sleeves I'm gonna, trace this by using a sprout bag and, following the curve along the shoulder, seam and to make the length I just, follow the edges of this sleeve of the, shirt that I'm copying and this is only, gonna be half the length because I need, another sprouts bag to make the full, length and because I don't have any like, paper you actually use for this so I'm,just kind of reducing reusing and, recycling but yeah so I have to make it,the right length so here I am adding an,extra little bit to my sleeve piece to,account for the ruffles in the sleeve of,Hearts shirt I am trying this thing out,I saw on YouTube where I take the, original sleeve piece I traced out and, cutting it in strips and spreading it,out and I think the right way to do this,is to cut it all the way down but, spoiler alert I didn't do it all the way, down in this but it still made it work, somehow so yeah Here I am just cutting,it and spreading it out once that was, done I laid it flat on a piece of Robbie, beaver and then traced that whole piece, around so that I still have the same, curves as the original sleeve but just, extra width once that was done I cut out,those,newly-found pattern pieces for the sleep,on my fabric and then I sought a basting, stitch all along the curve then I,scrunched up that bad boy by pulling on,one of the strings and made sure it was,the same length as the curve of the, bodice piece so that it would fit, together nice and evenly then it was, time for the good old pin and sew combo, you know the little one two one two,I'm gonna stop now because that jag was, really lame,oh yeah look at that sleep that's,looking good,Oh buddy yeah it has a nice little, gathers and now time to the same thing,to the other sleep once both those, things were done I turned the whole, shirt right sides together and sew it,along the arm and the body starting at,the armpits so for even purposes and, after that was done it was pretty, exciting because you kind of have a,shirt already but I realized that the, nickel was way too small so I just cut, that a little bit to be about eight, inches wide at the top and now I'm,measuring out how far down to make the, slit making sure it's right in the, middle of the neck hole then I measured, how long to make the bias tape for that, because that's how I'm going to finish, off the neck hole and some reason I,didn't get this on film very well but I,cut out a piece and I iron the raw edges,in and I had this little spaghetti, doodle thing that I'm just gonna use as,sandwich tape for this v-neck and I just, pinned that all the way around the raw, edge and so the long that line making, sure to get all of it in there that's,what shoes it I just started on one side,of the shirt of the v-neck and went all,the way down to the V point and then I,started at the V point it did the other, side I think this helped me to get that, little fabric right in the V together, and it worked I'm so excited that was my,first time doing this type of method and,I'm really excited that it worked out to,fix that little pucker at the bottom of,the v-neck I put these shirt right sides, together at the V,so a little teeny line at the corner of,the bias tape where it met at the, viewpoint and it seemed to help flatten, everything out and to make it like super,be like an acute angle a v-neck after, that I moved on to a finish off the, collar so I cut off the extra little, bias tape I made afford the v-neck and I,made another spaghetti doodle bias tape, that was a lot longer to go all the way, around the collar and then I just sewed,it on using the same sandwich chain, method as before it turned out pretty, good and after that the next thing I did,was just having a bottom by doing a,little rolled hem around the whole thing, all right so I finished everything but,the sleeves and I tried it on just show, you, when they wear I was sick a hostel girl, looks like a straitjacket,oh okay so I decided to finish his, sleeves knowing that it was probably, just the fabric that it was making it,look a little medical per se so I just, cut them to the appropriate length and I,gave it a little rolled hem around the, outside then I measured some elastic, around my wrist and did that good ol,stretch and so ruffle method along the, sleeve and after that I was completed, with the mock up shirt everything looks, pretty good so far and now all that's,left to do is to see if it fits him, this is Dylan, nice I like him okay ready all right I'm,doing something yeah okay we're gonna, blindfold you okay but you know so,probably be able to feel what it's like, okay but just some scrap fabric but you, have to try something on to make sure it,fits okay before it does it big day, today,I'm getting really dizzy oh my god okay, okay,I'm gonna try it on it's I guess it's,like a shirt, this is careful, don't feel feel it just feel it,you know hmm how was it can you move, yeah feels good, you got back yeah I got it I have, background yeah okay, can you dance yeah you party yeah okay, yeah this is comfortable okay like on,your body like oh yeah they feel good, okay, there's room so it fits yes it's okay, okay okay good yeah okay James boy let,me hide it okay so do you know what it,is I have a pretty good idea what it's a,shirt yeah like are you let in any, direction like no yeah I think I have a,pretty good idea yeah okay well you, haven't seen it though no okay, but it felt really nice okay good well,I've got it fits yeah but you haven't,seen it so does to be a surprise uh yeah, okay not forget it but everything I just, did what did we just see oh why here the, camera the next morning okay so you, heard the guy he tried it on and I'm,pretty sure he knows what it is cuz he,said he wants a pirate shirt before it,to me but he doesn't know quite what it,looks like so I'm still holding onto, that surprise factor leave, mock up is like it work completely and,I'm so happy that I did everything right, because I didn't know if I was doing, everything right some of those skills,we're a first for me,and it fits him well and he has room to,move so I am now ready to make the final, piece and I don't even have to change, much on the pattern the only thing I'm,doing to do different is make the ties, neckties longer and maybe take the, shoulder up,because the shoulder seam was still kind,of droopy on him too but those are, simple little things and so I realized I,didn't have enough of this fabric I got, from the thrift store but it's ok I went,to Hobby Lobby this morning and got this, fabric which is pretty much the same, with less wear so here I go hopefully, this is enough it doesn't look like that, much now that I'm looking at it let's,make him a shirt for his birthday, yeah this should go smoothly right, because I've done it before,oh and I also decided to make this, sleeve wider toward the wrist so that, when I add the elastic it'll puff out, poof poof in poof anymore because it was,not as flamboyant as I would like so,that's the other thing I'm gonna change, let's get into it okay now it's time to,do the exact same thing but with the, right fabric so step one is cut out all, your pieces, about two hours ago I was waiting in the,Hobby Lobby fabric cutting line and I,was thinking okay how much do I need, here because I'm not really one to like, measure out let me let me be trace I got,two yards of this fabric I cut out the, back piece big brown piece and now I'm,onto the sleeves but I only have enough, for one whole sleeve and the other, sleeve is an inch too short on the, armpit as I was checking out and it told, the lady two yards I was thinking you, know that doesn't look like that much, but like I think it'll be not hopefully,it is but it's not oh I always do this I,always do this always I don't ever get,him go ever mr. Garth I I set it out to,where I'm just gonna try to gain as much,as this fabric as I can for the sleeve, but up here I'm only short like a,centimeter so I'm just gonna and that, will be on the seam anyway so I'm just, gonna be over here and hopefully it'll,work because one thing I don't want to,do is go back to Hobby Lobby but I,should and if this doesn't work I,probably will anyways because this, better be the best shirt ever made okay, after that mild freakout I cut out the, sleeve and it turned out not to be that, bad I just couldn't gain as much extra, fabric on the wrist as I wanted to but,no harm done it still worked out oh,that's not bad,I think that is perfectly fine,I finished it and I don't know how it,looks and I'm I'm up he's gonna like it,but here it is on me,oh yeah yeah tuck it in for that, wearable pirate look pirate chic ooh ooh, yeah,I hope he likes it God dang it,give me your booty, all right,if he doesn't like it well he could lie,and say he likes it he doesn't need to,say he doesn't like the Black Sea as far,as the eye,can see argh matey

How To Make Pirate Costumes Quick and Easy!

How To Make Pirate Costumes Quick and Easy!

Welcome to Pins and Things. Today,,I'm going to show you guys how to make a quick and easy pirate costume from things that you probably already have around your house,Inspired by the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie that's coming out soon,Hashtag pirates life. I think that we are going to go to the premiere dressed like pirates,I want to start a new playlist teaching you guys how to make quick,5-minute costumes. Just something that is simple and easy and if you want to throw something together in a pinch,This is just using things that you have from around the house,I actually did get these at the thrift store, but they're commonly found in most people's houses,So I've got a little striped blue and white shirt, some black, pants, jeans with holes in the knees and a red striped shirt,So I've laid this shirt flat and I'm going to start cutting out triangles out of the bottom and this is to make it look, raggedy and if it doesn't look perfectly even that's good, and if it looks perfectly even that's fine too,I only got this shirt for two bucks, and I think it looks like a pirate shirt,Now i'm going to cut off the sleeves in the exact same way,All right James you can put go ahead and put that,Pirate shirt on and I'm going to do the exact same thing to this one,So this one I found in the girls section, it will be for Corbin even though he's a boy,I'm going to unstitch this bow on here and make it look more masculine, and then I'm going to cut the sleeves and the bottom of the shirt in the exact same way that I did for this one,Here I've got Corbin's pants. These I also got at the thrift store for super cheap,I'm going to do the exact same thing to them and make them little raggedy, and I'm cutting James's jeans. He's going to have some short shorts, you know what i'm saying? Laying it flat before I cut, always helps a lot,Who is that pirate right there? Alright,,I folded it over on top of the other side so I can kind of match it up,I learned this trick from my mom,So you take a ring from a Mason jar and a rubber band and you take the rubber band string it through like that,We have a,pirate earring,Red Bandana over the top of the head, and just tie it in a regular knot over in the back. Wow, you look like a pirate!,All right, I have some felt here, and I'm just, cutting a bit of it off to make a sash that can go around each of their waist. If you have a sash or a,scarf or anything that's red that could totally go in place of this,And I'm going to cut it the same way,All right,I have some cardboard here, and I'm going to draw on the shape of a sword and,A hook, and then I'm going to cut them out and now that I've cut them out,I'm going to wrap them in tin foil,Just something really simple, you could also pick up any little, swords that you find like at the dollar store or something like that would totally work great for this. Here's a sword for Corbin,I think that we've gotten everything done and now all that's left is to add on a little bit of makeup,I'm going to do it a mustache, a goatee and an eye-patch. This is not a marker,This is actually eyeliner, you could use marker if you wanted to, it would wash off. So you can also just buy a cheap eye-patch and that works but,I like this idea because then the kids can still see while they're playing and still look like a pirate,We're finished! What you guys think? Good!,So they are planning on playing pirates for the rest of the day today, and just having a good time,And I think these turned out really well. Very easy to make, just pulling together a few things that we already had around the house,We got some treasure in our treat box that we made in the last video,So if you want to watch the last video that I made that's also a Pirate video, click over here,If you want to see me every day on The Beach House and see these awesome pirates, click over here. How To Make A Pirate Hat!

How To Make A Pirate Hat!

Welcome to Pins and Things. Today,,I'm going to show you guys how to make this,Pirate hat in celebration of the new pirates of the Caribbean that just came out,I'm starting off with this old hat. This hat has had since high school. I thought it was so cute,It's just the sun hat over time the ribbons start falling off,And then I hot-glued it on and you can see where it's like darkened a little bit and because of that,I don't wear it very much, and I'm not super proud of it,But I still think it's really cute especially if we can turn it into a pirate hat,So I'm going to take it outside, and we can start spray-painting it. I'm going to start off with the black spray paint,It looks like it's already going into the shape of a pirate hat and it's already dry. I especially like that,It's not super perfect and look I found nemo. Anyways, looks like it's about ready to get a second color put on it,I'm going to start by testing it in a place that I know is going to be covered up,so when I fold up the folds, I'm going to test it right in between that part,I don't know if I like that it almost looks gold, but we can see how it dries,Do I look like a pirate to you? Because I am one. So now that it's all dry, hopefully, I don't have black on my forehead. It's dry. Okay, now that it's all dry,I'm going to take it and start folding the corners up,just like it has on an actual,Pirate hat and I'm just going to shape it into the shape that I think looks the most like that,And then I have some black thread, a needle,That I will be able to stitch it down in the places that I need to to making sure that I give it the right, shape. This thread is actually ultra thick, it's like for coats and stuff extra dual duty plus,Now what I'm doing is I'm actually taking about two inches away from my original stitch,I'm adding another stitch just to tie it down a little bit more and make it fit more like a pirate hat,I got this hat at Walmart for three dollars a long time ago. It was on sale doing the same thing on this side,I have one stitch in the middle one right here,And one over here and that they're about two inches apart each. That parts done on this side,And now I just need to do two more stitches right here, and two more stitches right here and our pirate hat is done,Hello pirate boy,Pirate son, you found the treasure. Chocolate coins,Well, you sure did find the treasure,How you even have a pirate shirt? You're a pirate boy too. Okay can I have these? After dinner, you're gonna have one,I have to save our treasure. Corbin!,It's done!,Check it out, check it, check it, check it, check it, check it, check it,I feel like this might be the very easiest way to make a real pirate hat. This hat is so much better, than this dollar store hat, but just looks very very, cheap,But this looks like a real pirate,Check it out,I think it turned out really great. I'm a true pirate now. I got a pirate hat now,I heard it with this white peasant shirt that I actually just got at Walmart, and of course is that I got off line off of Amazon,It's just a brown one and it's very simple and hopefully soon,I will get around to making a skirt to go along with it, to finish off this pirate wench look. I love it,I think it turned out really good. The color,I'm wearing today is Mulled wine,And I only have a few of them left. You can go to my Facebook page,Becca's lipstick love.
