How to Paint Your Pumpkins | 5 Cute and Easy Halloween Ideas
hey everyone today we are making painted,pumpkins and this is a fun activity if,you don't want to carve jack-o-lanterns,this year and you want your pumpkins to,last a little bit longer especially if,you're decorating early you can try,painting them and you can be really,creative with all different colors and,designs you could use stencils in my,case I'm going to do black and white and,I'm thinking of a cat pumpkin an owl a,moon a spider and then a polka dot,pumpkin so I've got matte acrylic black,and white paint and then I have my,variety of brushes,and I also picked up some brown foam,brushes from Joanne Fabrics and these,will be perfect for making a polka dot,pumpkin,so the first thing you want to do is,clean your pumpkins you can use just a,wet rag to wipe them off make sure,they're all clean and ready for paint,and then hold on to this rag so that if,you mess anything up you can wipe the,paint off really quick and just start,over now that my pumpkins are clean I'm,going to start by painting my cat,pumpkin,if you want you could use a pencil to,trace where you want your cat to go how,you want that to look on the pumpkin and,then just paint right over that to give,you something to follow as you're,painting I like to start with a kind of,bowling pin body,so it's skinny neck and then it curves,out,and then I do a pointy football shaped,head and you could kind of tilt it to,give it a little bit of personality,I will say pumpkin takes on color a lot,faster than canvas does so this is a,pleasant painting experience if you're,used to painting on canvas I usually,have to do like two or three or four,coats to get that thick solid color so,this is really easy,so then I do triangles for the ears,so I do just a simple s,for the tail and have it get thicker as,it goes down,we can move on to our white details,I'm gonna do some retro diamonds,one thing I'll say about canvas though,is that it's flat so these ridges in,this pumpkin are a little tricky,thank you,now for the eyes I just do more pointy,little footballs in white,I do try to get them to match but that,is the tricky part,and then a simple rectangle collar right,underneath the head,so far I've only needed the wet rag for,my arm,finally we'll just do two little black,footballs for the pupils and then the,cat will be done,so heavy,so there is our cat pumpkin,the Crescent Moon I think will be an,easy one,basically just come around here and do a,c,or a banana,and since I want every pumpkin to have,some black and some white paint I'm,gonna make the Stars black and I'm gonna,do those as just little simple asterisks,okay our crescent moon and stars are all,done so that one is nice and easy if you,want a simple painted pumpkin idea now,let's do our spider pumpkin so this one,is going to have a white spider web in,the back with a big black spider in the,front and I guess I'll just keep this,kind of simple maybe do like a a big,asterisk and then web it together,you want your bug to curve in towards,the center,so there's our web okay I'm putting a,little spider up in the corner of the,web with a slightly oval head facing,toward the center,and then a bigger round body behind that,and then of course eight legs two pairs,Reaching Forward and two pairs reaching,back,I'm trying to make the legs touch the,web for realism,Eric's gonna hate this so much,I'm gonna do one more spider down here,and same kind of shape,with that our spider pumpkin is done,very creepy I'm not completely convinced,that I can paint an owl but I am going,to try I'm going to start by painting a,black branch that the owl can be perched,on,now I'll make an oval head an oval body,that kind of comes to a point and some,points on the Owl's Head,foreign,now I'm going to give him some pointy,black eyes,and I wish he was centered on this,Branch so I'm gonna try and make up for,that by extending the branch that way,and adding some detail up here,foreign,owl pumpkin is all done so that means,all we have left is our easy polka dot,pumpkin this is just going to have black,and white polka dots made with these,round foam brushes and I think this,should be our easiest one,oops,there you go,oh well I guess this could be a little,tricky,in,The Ridges,I'll just use my brush to touch up some,edges,once the black polka dots are dry then,we can put all the white polka dots on,and I'm just putting them in kind of,random order and gonna overlap some of,them and see how that looks,foreign,pumpkin is all done so with that we have,finished our painted pumpkins I thought,the polka dots would be the easiest,pumpkin but it was a little trickier,than I thought just because these foam,brushes get really loaded up with paint,so you have to be extra careful to avoid,drips like try to scrape some of the,paint off when you're painting this and,then also just make sure the polka dots,dry completely before you start,overlapping them but other than that it,was pretty simple and straightforward,and I love the result very cute little,polka dots and now I'll put these on the,front porch and we'll see how they look,foreign,foreign

today I'm gonna show you how to make,this really cool pumpkin and when you,remove the top you can see its brain,start by taking a pumpkin pick which,side you're gonna draw the face on then,take a marker pen and draw a line about,2/3 of the way down from the top all the,way around then draw on the face,next we need to turn the pumpkin around,and use a knife to carefully cut a hole,in the back beneath our line remove the,piece and I'm using a big spoon to empty,out the insides,when it's nicely cleaned out use your,knife to start cutting out the detail,I'm carefully cutting holes for the eyes,then starting the mouth and for this,design I'm leaving some teeth next we,need to take our knife and cut just,through the skin,all the way around the black line around,the top don't worry if you don't follow,the line exactly but try to make sure,you join up the cut when you get back to,the start then start removing all the,skin from the pumpkin above this line I,just used my knife blade but you might,find a vegetable peeler works,next I'm cutting away a little bit more,from the sides to give it some,definition and make an edge between the,outside of the head in the brain after,that I'm taking a sponge and using it to,scrub off any black lines that I don't,need it doesn't matter about the ones on,the teeth because I'll be removing them,later,next we need to start carving in the,brain I'm using a knife to carve a line,up the middle and you can just scratch,into the pumpkin and start adding the,detail,I also found you can do a really good,job with a ballpoint pen it just pushes,into the pumpkin and you can draw on,your design it's good fun to do and you,can really see it coming together,work your way around until you get back,to the start and when it's done it,should look something like this next I'm,using my knife to remove the skin from,in front of the teeth go carefully,because you don't want the teeth to snap,and I'm also cutting them down a bit,from the inside then I'm doing the same,with the eyes and I'm using some black,acrylic paint to paint them in and,that's our pumpkin with brain finished,pretty cool huh,you can patch up the hole at the back,using the piece you cut out and use a,cocktail stick to hold it in place and,if you like you can take another pumpkin,roughly the same size and chop the top,off to make a lid to look like the top,of the head clean out the inside,and you can place it on top or at an,angle like this and it looks really,great you can open up the back to put a,candle inside or I'm putting in this,flashlight dim the lights and look at it,glow you can see the definition of the,brain and it looks really cool and you,can lift off the lid to see the whole,thing if you like you can take some of,this green Halloween slime which I,showed you how to make last week and,make it look like it's spewing out of,its mouth,you can just slide a small flashlight or,LED through the front to light up that,way and with a bit of extra lighting,from a torch it looks really good,and if you like you can add some plastic,spiders into the slime to make it look,really creepy if you want to see how to,make this slime you can click on this,link or you might want to see some of my,other videos have fun,stay safe and as always thanks for,watching

hey it's me boo,it is officially pumpkin season got,something in my eye i figured since,pumpkins are in the air not really,they're just you know everywhere why not,paint on pumpkins cool story um,i did paint a pumpkin last year but um i,didn't actually make it a part of a,video now i could paint on real pumpkins,good good idea the problem with real,pumpkins is they rot and they,stink i threw away my pumpkin last year,and i didn't even really know how far,gone it was until i picked it up and,dropped it and it just,it exploded with the nastiest gunk that,i've ever seen for me it's just kind of,like demotivating to be painting on,something that i know is going to die,that way so i thought this year you know,let let's not paint on this time bomb,solution come on guys i got some lovely,pumpkins,fake,i can use it year over year for fall,decor and it's never going to rot on me,and be disgusting i got quite a few of,these oh look at this one chunky these,are actually pumpkins that i bought last,year to paint on and then i realized too,late that it was too late so they've,been sitting in storage for a year this,one got a little boo-boo so we'll see,maybe these will be in the mix maybe not,also have these mini ones from last year,as well i think it's fair to say i've,got enough pumpkins here to paint so,let's get busy,yes pumpkins and halloween,what is that don't do that i know spooky,and scary isn't typically my aesthetic,well not intentionally but i was,thinking maybe i should at least make a,small effort to do something in the,realm of spooky,ness so um let's see um spooky well what,kind of examples do we have here spiders,stuff okay let's just cut this tag off,it's uh stuck in the pumpkin that's,annoying i'm noticing that this pumpkin,is slippery smooth so i'm gonna grab,some sandpaper and just rough it up just,a little bit to prepare it for paint,these are supposed to be craft pumpkins,you'd think they would consider making,the surface paintable but hey maybe,that's me expecting too much i don't,know oh and i found a sticker,let me peel that off it's actually,really pretty holographic wow,i just stuck my gum in it now for my,design i feel like there is something,missing on the top so i'm gonna grab,some air dry clay i've almost used this,entire package i'm doing so good i'm,gonna grab a hunk of that and start,messing around with it i am forming an,ear stick it on there it's a beautiful,ear let's add another there we go got,those on pretty nice i'll just let that,dry for about 24 hours look at that time,flies the ears are nice and solid and,this pumpkin looks like it was a maid to,wear these ears so in case you didn't,realize i'm going for like a pumpkin cat,it's not just a pumpkin with ears it's a,cat i went with a cat because i was,trying to think of an idea for what to,make this pumpkin into and i thought,back to last fall jordan and i decided,to carve pumpkins no makeup hair's a,mess awkward as anything but rockin that,georgie sweatshirt we each had one,pumpkin to work on and we immediately,got to work on our own designs and then,we realized about halfway that we had,both chosen to carve cats we also both,kind of struggled to figure out how to,do the ears i tried carving in the ears,but it doesn't really work because the,ears are on its face and jordan just,left them out entirely but then the cat,has no ears so i decided to revive the,cat concept but this time resolve the,dilemma of the ears interesting stuff,now for the face oh don't look there it,goes i'm just gonna sketch out the face,and i'll start adding some little blush,that looks wack switching to red oh boy,that looks less like rosy cheeks more,like cheeks have been ripped off there's,blood there's blood everywhere i know i,said i was gonna try spooky but not this,way it was never supposed to happen like,this let me try this again i'm going to,blend it out smooth things over a bit,yeah that's better okay so for the eyes,i'm going to paint some nice large,spooked eyes,are you scared yet no and here's where i,realized one of the eyes is just a tad,bit bigger than the other one uh oh just,kidding i did make one eye much larger,on purpose i thought that one big bug,eye would look,spooky and i'm gonna make that eye,bright green i am using poscas but i was,also trying to get a blendy look which,is not that easy with poscas but i just,didn't feel like mixing up three,different colors of paint for one,eyeball so i'm just doing it this way,the other eye i'm gonna do something,really scary it's a dead eye oh avert,your eyes hide the children well you,know i'm trying okay let's finish out,the outline of the rest of the facial,features there we go i'm going to add a,little bit more detail to this eye i,want it to be very haunting and then,next i'm going to add some,yucky stuff oozing out of its face and i,don't understand why,why why i could have made this you know,blood,but i'm sorry i'm just not ready for,that so i just went with some nice,bright green glowing goo i don't know,what it means i wouldn't say i achieved,scary does it scare you because i think,it's kind of cute and she kind of,reminds me of someone it's winifred this,is totally winifred it's winifred in a,new form winnie what happened to your,eye honey i actually really like it,though i think it's cute okay moving on,to the next pumpkin this big boy and,look at that i just plucked the tag out,of that one real easy okay sand that up,a bit that feels nice and ready pull,that little sticker off i'm moving away,from the spooky thing now clearly i've,already mastered that i've sketched on,some nice loose squares all over the,pumpkin and i'm gonna get out my custom,mixed acrylic paints i have all these,colors left over from past projects and,i really need to use these before they,go chunky and this is perfect oh got a,little eager there this is a great,opportunity to use up all of my leftover,colors because i want this to look like,a totally random selection of different,colors just all thrown together i'm,going for like a patchwork look not a,pumpkin patch but a pumpkin of patch is,as if the pumpkin is kind of like,quilted i'm just going to continue going,around filling the entire pumpkin with,different colors on each patch got all,the colors roughed in now watch this,boom cleaned up got another couple coats,over all of that and we are ready for,the excitement,so not only is each patch gonna have a,different color but they will each have,a completely unique pattern on every,single,one of course the very first one that i,make is the rainbow patch possibly the,most special of all the patches and it's,stinking cute moving on to the next one,now did i realize at this point what i,had committed to by deciding to fill,this entire pumpkin with like 30 unique,patterns no no i didn't i was blissfully,unaware look at me just taking my sweet,old time making this pattern not a care,in the world you fool i love this black,and white dot one though it's so cool,also i need to pick up the pace so,here's where i've decided i'm gonna make,sure to throw in some simple patterns as,well you know let's do some good old,rainbow stripes real quick and easy i,changed the red to pink because i,realized i used pink in the first,rainbow and i wanted consistency but uh,all the rules eventually went out the,window and down the toilet yeah that's,right both i started on this little,green patch then i thought,now let me take a look at this last one,again i added an outline girl you're,scaring me you gotta move on now is not,the time to fixate on tiny details okay,back to the strawberries this may be one,of the smallest patches on the pumpkin,but it's definitely one of my favorites,so cute okay next now i will say that i,really enjoyed the process of making,this pumpkin mostly the misery,definitely didn't start until much later,and i think i had so much fun with it,because i really didn't do any planning,i wanted it to look truly random so i,just totally made this up as i went love,the sum outlined some not look moving on,to some cherries one thing that was,slightly annoying is that because i,wasn't planning it or sketching it in,advance i kept creating slightly awkward,spacing it's not perfect and i don't,like it let's say it's part of its charm,the cherry patch was inspired by the,strawberry one but it's less good still,cute though i also did try to,incorporate quite a few black and white,patterns to kind of bite through that,color just right,because if everything is super colorful,it kind of just mushes into a sea of,color but then if you throw in some,black and white in there then you have,created true chaos this one almost looks,like black and white sprinkles which,reminds me,sprinkle patch oh while i move on to the,next couple of patches this is the,perfect time to mention that this year's,halloween merchandise is out and,available on my store i have three new,designs this year including the one that,i'm sporting in the intro the link is in,the description if you want to check,those out speaking of what's in the,intro some of you have been confused,about why i had this whole video a,couple weeks ago packing up my old art,room i said i was moving and then since,then i've just been right back in my old,art room well um this is my new art room,can't you tell the difference i mean,they're so completely and totally,different,okay so yeah that's right all that drama,over moving and i essentially have the,same background but as i've mentioned,before the rest of the room is in fact,very different than it was before i will,do a tour of it some of you are politely,harassing me about it i promise i will,show you it i just need a few more weeks,to get everything set up so please be,patient okay back to the pumpkin i've,made this flower patch that i absolutely,hate oh it is so ugly oh that that's,just making it worse it looks like,spiders and snakes i hate it i cannot,emphasize that enough it needs to go,well while we're waiting for that mess,to dry let me head on over to the,neighbor and see what we can do howdy,neighbor i couldn't decide which style,of watermelon to make so i made both oh,this is ready go over that again all,right back to the watermelons and then,again with this and then the watermelons,i'm getting dizzy let's finish those up,and i did end up doing a black and white,floral patch on that purple again but,just did it a little bit differently,it's still not my favorite but you know,i was just striving for not hideous this,time and i think i've achieved that i'm,just very talented i went on to this,drip patch which is kind of different i,mean not different from me i do rainbow,drips all the time but it's definitely,not the traditional look for a quilt,patch it looks more like a uh,a quilt patch and this is the point,where i'm like okay i've been working on,this all day it's time to do some,simpler patterns so hearts yes cute,little triangle banner oh amazing and,now i have made my way down to the,bottom of the pumpkin so these patterns,are gonna be much less visible so we,definitely don't need to do anything,super crazy down here do you hear me we,can simplify this was like two o'clock,in the morning and i,i needed to stop but i had put so much,work into this freaking pumpkin at this,point so i tried my best to finish this,out strong apparently my idea of,finishing out strong is these uh beans,or amoeba i don't what it what is that,this is my brain at three in the morning,finally each and every patch is filled,with its own unique pattern and boy what,a feat that was to finish off the design,and really create that patchwork look,i'm gonna outline each patch and then,draw little stitches every so often to,make it look like they're all sewn,together and that really made a huge,difference in the look of it oh my gosh,it's so good it's so good i didn't draw,a pattern on the very bottom patch don't,come at me it's it's the base and it and,it's a solid color we want the base to,be solid because it's it's three o'clock,in the morning okay and then it was done,and oh my gosh i mean this this is a,look okay it's a huge chaotic clash of,random patterns and colors definitely,not everyone's style this is the type of,thing that people might describe as like,rainbow barf or oh it hurts my eyes but,personally i love it i think it just,looks so fun and wild and now,ow oh gosh sorry i just had to die for a,second now the last pumpkin i'm going to,do i actually chose one of the mini ones,that i've had since last year so i,grabbed some tan paint i'm going to,paint the entire pumpkin one solid color,if i can hold on to it long enough,that's okay that's good just finishing,that off now how do i put this down to,dry didn't think that through well i did,figure that out and now i'm gonna throw,on a second coat beautiful,looking swell i am gonna repaint this,stem with a lighter brown to give it,more of like a cutesy look and then i,notice there's this gap under the stem,that is unacceptable so i tried to just,like shove some paint into that crevice,and it actually worked problem solved,now for puffy paint i'm going to do,something so predictable so basic it's,not even funny i'm going to add some,pink drippiness like sauce all over the,top of this pumpkin ooh yummy um and,then i'll just toss out some good,sprinkles because this is gonna be a,dessert pumpkin of course but i had to i,just had to do it it took a small,fraction of the time as the other two,pumpkins but i still like it alright,that's all my pumpkins done i love how,different they each turned out and i'm,just so happy with the bunch of them,i'll definitely do this next year if you,guys want me to best part What do you get when
you drop a pumpkin?,Squash.,Hello, and welcome
back to Handmade.,I'm Jenny.,And I don't know if you've
been outside lately,,but it is finally fall.,There are leaves
changing on every tree.,There are pumpkins
on every front porch.,And I for one totally love it.,There are tons of
ways you can use,pumpkins in your fall decor.,But my favorite way
to dress up a pumpkin,is with a little bit of paint.,The great thing about
painting pumpkins,is you can either do
it on a real pumpkin,,and it's just temporary, or you
can do it on a faux pumpkin,,and it lasts season
after season.,Today we're going to make
three painted pumpkins,with a little bit of a twist.,All three are going
to be fabric inspired.,I promise, you're
really going to fall,for these gorgeous ideas.,Let's get started.,See what--,For each of these
projects, all you'll need,is a pumpkin of your
choice and paint.,For the base on this
pumpkin, I'm using,a white acrylic craft paint.,I'm going to start with a
dark orange craft paint.,Mix white paint into
the orange until you get,a lighter orange that you like.,Use painter's tape to
tape horizontal lines,on the pumpkin.,This tape doesn't
have to be perfect.,You're really just trying to
keep your lines straight-ish.,For a buffalo check
pattern, you want,the white and
colored stripes to be,approximately the same width.,After painting
horizontal stripes,,go back and add vertical
lines, following,the ribs of the pumpkin.,Make these stripes
approximately the same width,as the horizontal stripes.,When your grid is all
painted and dried,,bring your original
orange color back in.,Darken the squares where the
horizontal and vertical lines,overlap.,This pumpkin is starting
with a black face.,I'm using a matte
black craft paint.,I love the look of
mud cloth fabric.,It has a really boho feel to it.,I'm using painter's
tape to create,straight lines on the pumpkin.,Create several patterns using
v-shapes, dots, and lines,with a white paint pen.,Mud cloth fabric originated
in the 12th century in Mali,in West Africa.,It was originally dyed
with fermented mud,and tree branches.,Many of the symbols had meaning
but have been lost over time.,I'm obsessed with
shibori dyed fabric.,To make a shibori
inspired pumpkin,,you need a bowl of cold
water and some nail polish.,Swirl the nail polish into
the water and work quickly.,Dip your pumpkin into the
bowl, and the nail polish,will magically adhere
to the surface.,Add more nail polish and
dip again, if necessary.,Remove slowly and
let dry completely.,I literally do not know
which of these is my favorite,because they are all so cute.,Also, they're so easy.,You can do them if you can
just draw a straight line,using painter's tape.,The best thing about
them, though, is that I,did them on faux pumpkins.,So I'm going to be able to

hello and welcome to little learners,it's one of my favorite times of you,autumn which means Halloween is on its,way but how can you decorate your,pumpkins without carving them you want,to stay safe of course with those little,fingers around well I've got four,designs to show you so let's begin it's,a good idea to wash your pumpkin first,just to get any of the grit or grime off,of it don't worry if it's got lumps and,bumps all pumpkins are beautiful so we,are going to be making a skeleton first,so I am going to be using some black,glitter this sponge brush although you,can use any kind of brush I just find,the sponge is quite easy to use and I'm,also going to be using acrylic paint in,white and black now you could try using,water-based paints but they just don't,work trust me I tried The Critic paints,are available completely safe but you,just have to be aware that they can't,stay in clothes so don't wear your best,outfit to when you and your child are,painting your pumpkin so I am painting,my pumpkin completely white and then I,am moving on to the detail using a few,different sizes of paintbrush so first,of all I'm drawing two circles for the,eyes,you really don't have to be precise with,this that's the beauty of it which means,it is totally child-friendly,then I'm going to draw a long thin smile,because I want a happy skeleton I'm then,painting some vertical lines across the,smile line we've just drawn to create,the skeleton mouth effect again these do,not need to be precise,now we move on to the black glitter as,you will know if you have watched my,videos before glitter is my favorite,part of any craft so I just put a bit of,PVA glue on my paintbrush just a very,thin layer painted my black eyes with,the PVA glue and then used a sponge,brush just to sponge on some glitter,using my hand fur and fallout although,it wasn't really needed in the end and,once it's dry you have a sparkly eyed,skeleton pumpkin moving on to our spider,pumpkin I am painting the entire pumpkin,black and once it's dried I am getting,out my yellow acrylic paint for the eyes,but wait I forgot the glitter cover the,pumpkin completely in PVA glue apart,from where the eyes should go I used a,couple of pieces of circular card to,cover up the eyes and then cover the PVA,glue in black glitter once you've done,that and while it's drying you can start,doing the yellow eyes or any color that,you like and then I just used this small,circular sponge to make the pupils of,the eyes which I decided would be white,then we move on to the legs we will need,eight I'm going to be using black pipe,cleaners for the legs at the very end of,the pipe cleaners you'll notice that,there is a little bit of wire because,wire runs completely through it you can,use the end of the wire just to poke it,into the top of the pumpkin and they,stay attached really well so you don't,need to glue them or take them into,place and there you have it if i zoom,out there you have eight legs that,bounce around I think it's one of my,favourite pumpkins to be honest okay so,now moving on we are going to be making,a witch for our which we are going to,need a pointy nose because we are making,a stereotypical green pointy nosed witch,so I've cut out a triangular piece of,card and just folded a little tab at the,end made a little snip so that I can,fold it in half and it will adhere to,the pumpkin like so I've also cut out,two circles one that I can make into a,cone and then one that is slightly,larger for the base of the witches hat,if you have colored card that's great if,not you can just use your acrylic paints,to paint the card which I will have to,do because I don't have any colored card,left so I painted my entire pumpkin,green and you can see in the background,there I have painted the Hat and the,nose ready for the next bit of the craft,so I am just putting in the eyes there I,used a sponge brush and then just tidied,them up but of course they don't need to,be precise at all I then PVA glued the,little tabs I made on the nose and held,that on to the pumpkin it did keep,falling off so I just put some PVA glue,around the top of the nose as well just,to make sure that it really stuck on,there and of course the PVA glue will,dry clear,so it's not a problem I then had this,kind of shredded tinsel which I thought,would look really nice for the hair so I,put some PVA glue on the top you could,use maybe wool or string or you could,cut some strips of card for the hair,anything you want really and once,everything is dry you can add the Hat,some pupils to the eyes and a nice smile,because we like a happy witch on this,channel I of course added some glitter,to the Hat because I cannot help myself,and watch you check out that nose I love,it,okay so for our last pumpkin creation we,are actually going to be using some,medical bandaging kind of crepe bandage,anything you can get your hands on,really in the local pharmacy and the,only painting we're going to do with the,acrylic paints is some black eyes we're,then going to completely cover the,pumpkin in PVA glue and then wrap the,bandaging around in just any which way,you like you can fasten it with some,tape and then just kind of move the,bandages around so that you're happy,with them make sure that the eyes are,poking through leave a little gap for,those put some PVA glue on the bandages,and then of course finish off with some,glitter on the bandages and on the eyes,I'm using white glitter and silver,glitter,and there you have it a very quick easy,and cute little mummy pumpkin so that's,the end of our pumpkin creation video,today I am so pleased with how all of,these turned out and they are all,completely child-friendly really easy,for children to do even small children,with 10 Awesome Halloween Pumpkin Carving Ideas
today I've put together a compilation of,some of my favorite pumpkin carving,videos perfect for Halloween and if,you're new here you might want to,subscribe and click the notification,Bell so you don't miss out on future,content I'm gonna start by showing you,how to make this pumpkin eating a mini,pumpkin once you've removed the top and,cleaned out your large pumpkin we need,to use a mini pumpkin to gauge the size,of the mouth then use a marker pen to,draw a sort of teardrop shape around the,mini pumpkin cut out and remove this,section of pumpkin,then draw a line around the hole for the,mouth,and fill in some teeth,use a small knife to cut just through,the skin on the outside line and cut a,small gap between the teeth top row and,the bottom,cut the pumpkin skin off the front of,each turf,and tidy it up,cut out some eyes in the nose,and I'm using black marker pens to draw,on some pupils,and that's our large pumpkin ready to,use next I'm drawing a sort of sad and,shocked face onto the mini pumpkin cut,out the design and empty the contents,out through the mouth,and there's our mini munchkin ready to,be eaten wedge it in between the teeth,and that's our first pumpkin display,finished if you like you can add some,happy mini pumpkins alongside,it looks great and it's really not that,difficult to do for the next one I'm,going to show you how to make this,pumpkin with really huge pointy fangs,and then light it up with fire once,you've removed the top and hollowed it,out use a pen to draw on a huge wide,open mouth,some eyes and long pointy teeth along,the bottom foreign,in between with smaller ones across the,top carefully cut out and remove the,pumpkin in between each of the teeth,then cut through the skin all the way,around the mouth line same as we did,before,and remove the skin from in front of the,teeth,clean it up,and cut out eyes,it should look like this,it's got these huge pointy fangs and it,looks great if we light it up with a,candle or a flashlight but I decided to,take this outside somewhere safe and,turn it into a flaming pumpkin I put,inside a handful of cotton wool and,poured in some lamp oil so the cotton,will absorb it,then I lit it up with a Long Reach,lighter through the mouth,it's a slow burning fuel so it takes a,minute or so to really get going make,sure you stand well back and keep a safe,distance the Flames can rise up a couple,of feet,here's another flaming pumpkin design,which I made 80 years ago for this one I,used a toilet roll instead of cotton,wool,and it's been my YouTube profile picture,ever since pretty socks or hoodie and,more you can find out details by,clicking the join button and taking a,look next I'm going to show you how to,make these really cool superhero,pumpkins for the Spider-Man one I,started by drawing on the eyes,then lines out from the center join them,all up like this to form a web,and draw the outline of his face around,it,the pen I'm using allows me to wipe it,off with wet kitchen paper which is,really useful to correct mistakes,once you're happy with it make the lines,nice and thick and as even as possible,then use a sharp knife to cut in between,the lines and remove the pumpkin skin if,you smudge any of the black onto the,pumpkin flesh don't worry we can sort,this out later,cut out the eyes,then wash off all the ink with water,if you've still got ink on the flesh,afterwards,you can remove it by slicing It Off,and there's our finished Spider-Man,pumpkin next I'm using this pumpkin to,show you how to make the Batman logo,I'm starting by drawing on the outside,surround then the bat logo inside which,is held on with tabs at each end,cut it out,foreign,here's our two superhero pumpkins,eyelet mine up with small flashlight,torches,this Spider-Man face just glows and the,lines are nice and intricate and this,Batman logo would look great beaming,down from an upstairs window,in one of my previous videos I even,showed you how to make a Minion pumpkin,if you want to watch that one later,there's a link in the description,but next I'm going to show you how to,make this amazing spewing pumpkin,when I cleaned out all the stringy,innards and pumpkin seeds I kept them in,a bowl because we can use them later I,drew on the pumpkin face starting with,upturned eyebrows some squinty eyes and,a wide open mouth for the eyebrows and,the eyes instead of cutting a hole I,just removed the skin from the flesh,then cut out the mouth,I darkened the eyes with a mixture of,food coloring which I painted on,then I used mine as part of a Halloween,display and I had guacamole spewing out,of his mouth I added a salsa dip and,filled around with tortilla chips to,make a nacho snack bar,you can even remove the lid for a sour,cream dip,you can do the same thing with a tray of,oven baked nachos and Spoon the,guacamole across the middle it makes a,great display for a Halloween party,scooping up the spew and eating it is,kind of gross but good if you prefer you,can just use the innards we saved,earlier to make a display like this so,it looks like he's spewing up his,insides pretty gross huh or you could,set it up in the bathroom so it looks,like he's spewing down into the loo this,will give your guests a real surprise,when they go to the toilet,for the next one I removed the letters,from one of these lightbox message,boards then used a letter to make two,rows across the front of the pumpkin,like this,then remove the skin with a knife,you want to cut it just deep enough to,hold the letters in place like this,now you can write your Halloween message,and make it Glow with a candle,and if you like you can even carve a,face on the other side it's really cool,and you can use the message board to,write whatever you like,you can make a spinning pumpkin disco,ball by piercing a series of holes,around the pumpkin with a screwdriver or,you could use a hand drill,then I used some thick cord which I,poked through one of the holes,and tie a knot in the other end,pull it through and do the same on the,other side to make it stronger I added a,second string,then I tied them together with another,length and hung it from a strong hook on,the ceiling you could hang it from a,tree branch make sure your knots are,nice and secure and light it up with a,flashlight give it a little spin,and watch it glow,to make this one I started by drawing a,line about a third down from the top all,the way around then I drew on a face,next I cut a hole in the back of the,pumpkin and hollowed it out through here,I carved out the face,and removed all the pumpkin skin from,above the line we drew,clean off any pen marks,then use a knife or even a ballpoint pen,to carve squiggly lines all the way,around for a brain,and when you're done it should look,something like this,I tidied up the teeth,and used some black acrylic paint to,paint in the eyes,you can also take another pumpkin,roughly the same size and chop off the,top,to make a top for the head,and sit it on,I put a torch inside to light it up,and you can remove the top,if you like you can take some green,Halloween slime which I showed you how,to make in
