Oh,is sappy,hey sweets he's so glad to be talking to,you right now so today I'm about to,create a bulletin board for my class,just some father and festive little,ideas across that you can do is your,family like some ham so here we go this,is the plain white bulletin board that I,decided to start with it doesn't have,anything on it so I knew I wanted to add,a tree in there somewhere so I started,designing this tree by using some crayon,against regular brown paper I also mixed,up some paint to add some extra texture,in there and I'll show you guys how I,decided to go about doing that but I,mainly just use the crayon to outline it,and actually draw the tree out by hand,okay so this is how the tree turned out,after I finished or I am finishing the,crayon portion of it I am also really,really excited about how and also as,texture as well,okay so I wanted to explain to you,briefly about how I did the backdrop I,start it with black and I added the,lighter colors on top of the black so I,use a lighter blue a little bit of a,white and I also mixed a darker blue,together to get that really really light,blue and I use two different types of,paintbrushes to execute this backdrop,look but I painted it all by hand and,I'm really really happy with how it,turned out here we decided to put,together a really cute we declare for,the Caracas and this in the clients also,we created these little paper pumpkins,that are really fun and to really craft,and cheap construction paper and glitter,a little bit of your,whatever you desire and some paper,plates we also use paint and some tissue,paper to come to execute these cute,little paper pumpkins you could do right,from home so I use the pumpkins as a,part of the bulletin board that we,completed and it turned out beautifully,I ended up cutting out the tree and,making it perfectly to fit the board I,also added some leaves in there as you,can see and some little sparkles for,stars I also cut out some little bets,and glitter goes up purple added those,to the bulletin board I cut out a yellow,moon and we added our little pumpkins so,it actually turned out really cute and,everybody loves the bulletin board I'm,so happy with how it turned out I also,use brittle app like bertolon ribbon for,the border to just clean everything up,perfectly,another fun craft the idea for the kids,we create a paper scarecrows out of,plates as well and this is a simple,craft that didn't take much construction,paper some tissue paper for the hair we,also use those little wiry fuzzies,tweeks just to add some dimension and a,little bit of extra texture and I also,use some ribbon for extra text dress,wheels now this was super super fun so,we had a door decorating competition for,the fall season or Halloween and this is,what me and one of my co-workers came up,with and we are so so excited to present,our door to everybody we worked on this,together and the concept was pretty,pretty cool it did take us some time to,do it but I was able to be as creative,as I wanted to and I really enjoyed this,very very much so I'm very proud of how,our door turned out,I know this is totally off topic but I,had to take the time to give credit to,one of my co-workers because he is so,talented I mean so extremely talented,and he doesn't do anything but this for,the clients and I just think it's such a,beautiful thing to have this type of,people in the world and I just wanted to,give him a special shout out for this,beautiful work of art that he's created,so proud of you very great job and you,did this all by hand so very very well,done,you

so today I want to give you a tip on how,to hang a bulletin boards your best,friend is going to be pushpins so if you,don't have Pushkin's get them so I,literally just unrolled my bulletin,board paper right on the bulletin board,and you're going to see that as I was,unrolling that I was literally just,putting pushpins,so they're pushpins I lined the top of,my paper up with the top of my bulletin,board and as I was unrolling it I was,putting pushpins in now it's kind of,hard to film so I'll just walk you,through that skirt so as you can see,other was unrolling I was putting,pushpins as I was going so now I'm going,to do is I'm going to put pushpins all,along the side and then move across and,I'm going to literally push pin the,whole thing and then I'll let you know,how,so now that your Baltimore paper is all,put up with pushpin you can go through,and like push any air out and since it's,not stapled yet you can just literally,move the pushpin and get all the air out,once you have all of that you're going,to keep the pushpins in and you're just,going to staple all around your entire,board,so I have the entire bulletin board,stapled down all the air bubbles out,remember I told you pushpins would be,your best friend you're not done with,them yet,so I actually my bulletin board stops,here if you can see this little crease,right here and this part here is,magnetic and not magnetic metal so,instead of going through with scissors,and trying to cut it you're literally,going to take your pushpin you're going,to put it in there and you're just going,to go across,and then look how easy it just comes,right off and then it literally took,your paper all the way to the end now,I'm going to put borders on I prefer,using board it with that completely up,to you I've been using the same board it,for years and if like part of it gets,like messed up I just cover it with a,sharpie like that white part I just,cover it with a sharpie in from far away,you can tell this is how I save my board,--it I had to take all my bulletin,boards down in the summer so I literally,labeled it back bulletin board and that,way this is already measured and,everything and I just push again push,pins in to keep it rolled up and I just,put the border around and it like covers,up any like rough edges that you may,have and I just stick to solid colors,because then it'll match with anything,because sometimes I change my bulletin,board paper but I just keep order so I,usually use black or sometimes I use,white but all of my borders in my room,are black and then it just makes,everything that so that was my tip on,the floor so here's another tip this is,black and I hate that you can see the,staples so you notice it's a little OCD,and literally just color the staples and,from far away you can't even see so now,you see it now you don't and you,literally wouldn't even know it was,there unless you were looking you can,also do that with your borders um,also if like things like this bother you,you can literally fill it in with,markers like an that's if you really,really really want to go through and do,it all like I probably wouldn't go,through and do that for all the little,ones but if there's like a big tear just,fill it in with a permanent marker

Craftroom Decor Halloween Bulletin Board

hi welcome back to my channel Karina,here and if you're new welcome I am,Karina and I love the paper craft and if,you haven't done Sun just click that red,button and subscribe and today's video I,am redecorating my room for Halloween,and fall and I have this board that is,in a space where I have all my Maggie,home Pat's and everything is quite like,pinky and white and gold me and my,favorite colors so for today's video I,am going to decorate redecorate this,board with Halloween traditional and,non-traditional colors so the first,thing that I'm gonna do by the way it's,just remove everything it's I have a lot,of things here it looks really clutter,and gonna remove these tags I know I,have these things some-some Valentine's,or Easter I can't remember but I haven't,done it so in a while so yeah this is,some Valentine's this is one thing that,I painted so and this is a photo of my,hubby and myself so I'm going to,definitely put some Halloween photos,that I have and but that will be the,final touch on it so these board,I bought this board a couple of years,ago when I used to live in Tampa and,then I am going to also change the backs,in the meantime I'm gonna take the glass,and the mats,so we can plan this better and I can,even take this bulletin board too but I,do not want to do that so so these are,the things that we're already in before,so I am thinking I have a lot of,Halloween stuff but I want to as I said,I want to introduce some Halloween,traditional and non-traditional colors,in I will stress more on the pink color,so I am going to use the paper cakes,collection which I have it here I know I,have like a whole mess here and I am,going to I just love this three by four,cards but they're kind of like vertical,I said I want to introduce ping some,pastel colors through I love this I love,these weeha I can do this one with black,I know this I just love these collection,is just so beautiful,it just works along well with everything,and I am a probably going to do these I,know a lot of pattern huh maybe I should,do the Sun Moon and stars and I love,this which is and then this boo that's,what I was thinking okay so I'm gonna go,with those colors so I am going to go,ahead and cut those these cards to the,size of these so we can put those,together and remember this decides they,are covered with glass so they have to,be flat I cannot be adding any 3d,stickers or anything maybe on the glass,but not behind the glass so I am going,to as I said cut these paper and I'm,gonna move the board the bulletin board,somebody's fall and let's start and I,hope I mean frame so I am going to I,said that I'm going to cut this weirdo,boom I just love it love this collection,is like so beautiful,and I am going to leave the shop,information in think I broke a,nail but that's okay,I can survive I have my nails they grow,so fast and I forgot to clip them so,here we go I have a broken nail now all,for the love of craft right so okay so,this is okay so we have one two and I,said I want to have these shoes they're,just so lovely okay,something with less pattern I probably,I'm going to do the the ghosty here,I just love colors just let me know in,the comments where are you guys up to,are you crafting and what kinds of,crafts are you currently doing it's,always interesting just find out what,everybody's doing I'd love to watch,youtube videos and Pinterest a lot of,inspiration but um I'd like to do,something like more unique not,repetitive and this year I'm challenging,myself on doing things that have never,done before like I did charms learning a,new skill and definitely I'm enjoying it,enjoying it so okay so this one is a,little bit smaller and then I just love,the sweat sweater weather,I'm going to do like a half small,pattern meter size pattern and dandies,big pattern and I'm thinking that I'm,going to put this one in the center so,it's not only like Halloween but more,and I'm like full and Halloween had the,same,all right so let's measure these this is,alright so now let's regroup again and,find out what's the plan right let's,find out the plan which is little pieces,away,Morrigan and so these three are my base,like this like that I know I have a lot,of blue blue blue light blue like purple,kind of like light pink so I'm gonna go,ahead and insert this off-camera I will,be right back okay I am back so I put,together I see doesn't show too much,glare the three by four cards from paper,cakes now this is a section that I am,going to be placing some of the cards so,off-camera I put together some things as,these are from paper cakes just staple,couple of them dream that I got at,Walmart and this cut apart it's from the,butiful collection from American crafts,and as you can see it goes really well,with with paper cakes also deciding to,use these other two cards so I'm,thinking that planning I am going to put,this one over here some texture and then,this other one down here so we balance,the colors right it goes like you like,you know,zigzag motion than just killing time and,decide I should put probably something,blue or turquoise but I am NOT gonna do,that so just want to leave it like that,and I put this paperclip this is from a,Heidi Swapp and put some jammies here,and this is the innovation I went to,Walmart and got these earrings look at,this how cute they are like ghostie,earrings,we like with a tassel so what I'm going,to do I am just going to insert the,earring over here so it's like a tiny,little tassel and I think it doesn't,look good so maybe I should put it more,in the center so it's higher here one,and done done and I think this is it so,far I just love this boo boo boo boo,time stone pumpking spankings I should,have like a pumpkin or a heart maybe I,should cut one of these hearts I would,do the,a Purple Heart let me see how will that,look purple yellow and green and blue,uh-huh,I think that cluster will not wait much,better so these Bo I'm not gonna put,these boot on who's thirsty so I think,the cluster of having these paper cakes,hearts would look better you will tie,along with the car on top so it will be,like an easy transition to the next card,right we always have to have transitions,otherwise the design will look not,cohesive,I love these bull weirdo and creep if I,can staple these together I'm going to,use my mini attacher and then these,other one like a little Tower and again,just floating it's floating,use a skeleton mm-hmm I think I like it,the skeleton yeah,looks way much better so I'm going to in,there and I'm going to do Steve puffy,squares I just love this skeleton,he's weird though he's bullies creep and,I think we need some kind of a trim trim,trim here no we'll be too busy I need a,trim here so I put the skeleton here and,I am going to hold a skeleton with a,wonder if I can probably use a little,skeleton yeah there we go little boat a,little hoe so okay so this is the,bulletin board and if you like Making My October Bulletin Boards! #RAlife

this is the empty board got the stop,sign we've got these cute ghosts and,pumpkins the haunted house glitter,hello,ooh and i'm gonna put it in this bowl,hi everyone so um today,we are doing um ira stuff my bulletin,boards,programs so i quickly created this,little prototype for a little um passive,program that i'm gonna do,it's just a little paper tea cup mug,with a tea this is actually my um tea,so i'm not gonna use that but i'm gonna,get some from the store,stick this in there and then it says,your tea rific,so yeah i cut out some of these but um,i'm gonna put that to the side for now,and work on the bulletin boards because,that,is what needs to be finished,so you've already seen the bulletin,board so i'm actually going to take the,stuff,off of that now remove all of that,now and then get started on the,assembling of everything,and i think i want to like get fancy and,use some glitter,but we'll see how much time i have but,i'm feeling it to update this is,the empty board and i'm saving some of,the stuff,and i recycle the rest just take,these i have two of the black,pieces of paper here and i'm going to,use that,to cut out the brown paper so that i,have an exact,measurement and then i'm going to reuse,the black paper,for another board since it still looks,really,nice but i'm gonna be using,this guy exciting,to cut out two things of brown paper,obviously i left some extra at the end,just in case,and now we're gonna go put it up on the,board,this is what i have so far i put up the,background,and the little garland and the pumpkins,and then,using the string i like created this,kind of like spider web thing in the,corner i'm not sure how realistic it,looks,but i think it looks cute i don't have,too,much time left to work on this um,because i have a meeting at eight,and it's 7 45 but i just wanted to show,you guys,um what i've got so my mom helped me cut,out all this stuff before i came,so we've got the stop sign we've got,these cute ghosts and pumpkins the,haunted house,and then we've got the heading here and,this like,fun font and then we've got the note the,yeses and the nose,and then i need to cut out my,words and i took all this purple paper,from work and i'm gonna put it,um on here and i think i want to use,some glitter,barely i've been meeting in two minutes,um but i started cutting out,the stuff that's gonna be going on the,board putting it on the purple,background so i'm gluing it down,and i grabbed my sparkle,so pretty so we're gonna see that later,but yeah i have to stop for now so sad i,was really on a roll,okay so it is day two in the process,of making my bulletin boards i have,mostly all the,words glued down onto the background and,this is what i'm going to be doing with,all of them so i,got this one i cut it and then i put the,glitter and i,love how it came out,me,my um main words cut out um here so i've,got my sketch here,kind of i mean it's not going to look,like this i have different words going,on here,but basically this part this part is,what,um this is so i got them all cut out i,got their glitter,on them but now what i want to do,is start spacing things out because i'm,gonna need to do,um the only thing i don't have is these,arrows,but i want to um,see what the board looks like first um,to know how big or small,to make the arrows so what i'm gonna do,is i have all these amazing things that,my mom helped me with before coming to,school my heading,um i won't put the yeses and no well,maybe i'll,yeah i'm not gonna stick anything down,basically what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna,take um some of these things like the,headings,the stop the house um these and um,use tax to just put them,where i think i want them to go and then,i will um,maybe i'll staple them down right then,and there or i'll come back to the,arrows and then go out staple everything,um but basically i just need to know how,big or small to do the arrows,so yeah,so i finished um uh,using the tacks to um stick everything,down,i like how it's looking so i'm gonna,start stapling and then i'm gonna add,the finishing touches,after but i think it came out really,good,i finished stapling everything down,this is what it looks like but i still,have these ghosts and pumpkins to put on,which is going to be a fun part,but i'm like pretty obsessed with it so,far,all right so here's the finished board i,have all the ghosts and pumpkins,on it my mom helped me with a bunch of,the letters and the ghosts and the,pumpkins and the haunted house so shout,out to you mom,um i love how it turned out i think it,looks great with the garland and the,spider web and the pumpkins,and of course the glitter,so i,think that,this sketch,really just came to life,okay so i forgot to show you guys the,beforehand of this,but it is in one of my um,first back-to-school vlogs i'm pretty,sure it is the,quarantine vlog 10 back to school,um so it was the covered bulletin board,so i just took everything off,and um now we're gonna start the process,if you guys remember the black paper,that i had as a background,on the board before on the board that i,had just,that i just finished my um october,board um and i said i was gonna keep,that black paper and reuse it,so i am now measuring the length um,i'm using this to help me so i can trim,off the excess so that it'll fit to the,board,and once i do that because i'm going to,use the black as the background because,it's still nice and good shape,then i'm going to cut,this paper into thin,stripes so that i can get,you know a new look,um luckily this wrapping paper on the,back,has like a grid so i'm just going over,the lines,to make sure highlighting the line where,i want to cut,so that makes it a lot easier,we got our lines drawn ready to cut,a couple different sizes um just because,there's like that,water fountain um,kind of cutting into the board i don't,know if i'm gonna need these but just in,case i want to have them ready to go,so that when i do go to put things on,the board i don't have to then come back,and like cut stuff out,because now what i'm gonna do is kind of,extra,so i'm obviously gonna,keep all of these but,what i want to do is i want to like cut,the stuff out like cut out the,head and cut out this and put it on the,purple,and also cut out this,and put it on the purple as well and,then i want to you know use glitter to,like,put around it i want to cover this,in glitter so it's not yellow so,yeah i want to do that for all of them,and there's eight,so yeah so that's why i was thinking,that if i i could do that now because,that's going to be super time consuming,and then while that the glue is drying,um put this the background,on the board um and then uh,put this stuff up there's some other,stuff i want to make,for the board as well um we'll see how,i'm feeling how tired i am i mean it's,probably like 10 o'clock already i don't,know,but yeah so it is about midnight,um so i got all of the original,um coveted signs cut out,and glued to the new purple backgrounds,but obviously as you know this is only,partly done,because i gotta add the glitter but i,really um need a snack right now because,i am,losing steam hey everybody welcome,back to my ra bulletin board,vlog so right now we are going in and we,are glitterizing,everything so what i'm gonna do is i'm,gonna take this glue and i'm gonna put,it in this bowl,and then i'm going to use some paint,brushes i think specifically this one,and what i'm gonna do for all of the,papers that you've seen is i'm gonna,take the glue and i'm gonna,carefully brush it on,here and put the glue on there for some,of them on the little icon i'm gonna add,some glitter um not for this one some of,them i will some of them i won't,and then i think after that i'm going to,do a little glitter,framing around all of the little things,um and there we go,so stay tuned and,get ready,okay i'm not done but,this is going way faster than i thought,i love,how the glitter looks um,i just think it looks so pretty and,sparkly,so i have a sparkly teardrop there i,added some sparkly bubbles there,um but i'm gonna i think go get ice,cream with julian now,okay so as you see um i've got the,sparkles on here,um you these have just been drawing but,um i've just been working on the,background so i'll show you guys,okay so this is the background so far,i've just been i reused the black from,the last bulletin board,and then of course the wrapping paper,that was on here but i just cut it into,strips,um i really like doing this technique,because it allows me to reuse,materials that i already have and then,just make it look different,so yeah,all right so here's the finished,background obviously it's not perfect,but i still,really love how it came out i love the,shininess of the wrapping paper,and the contrast between the black and,the gold,all right so now it's time to start um,filling up the board,all right so i've got everything on the,board,um that i needed to hang up i got a,little,a couple like event flyers up there so,i'm very pleased

Evermore: The Theme Park That Wasn't

so in 2014 this booth popped up at Salt,Lake City Comic Con announcing a brand,new theme park a fully immersive theme,park to rival Disneyland in scale and,quality the theme would combine multiple,Aesthetics and Concepts Renaissance Fair,Charles Dickens novel Lord of the Rings,steampunk Dungeons and Dragons this park,would feature not only typical,state-of-the-art theme park rides but,also actors animatronics interactive,quests and fully explorable environments,the park would open in 2015. I put that,part in quotes because the park would,not open in 2015. in fact that Park as,described would never open as a big big,theme park fan Evermore park has been an,object of curiosity for me from this the,time of its first announcement and the,story has been a very wild ride since,then so today I would like to explore,its fraught history and perhaps go to,the park and take a look around consider,this a very deep dive into Evermore Park,and for your pleasure and convenience I,have organized my points into an easily,digestible numbered list oh boy here,comes the list,he loves it part one the pitch so if you,had attended that fateful Salt Lake City,Comic Con in 2014 here are some of the,Evermore attractions you might have been,sold on a 45 acre Park plus 25 acres for,parking a 40,000 square foot Manor an enchanted,forest ride a ride reservation system so,no waiting in lines a splash pad a,natural Amphitheater called the bowl,themed costume rentals a man-made lake a,london-esque city street called Ripper's,Cove which would be used primarily as,part of the five-part haunt we're gonna,have the world's most elaborate haunt uh,it's a five-part haunt called Ripper's,Cove and dancing fountains an island,with ziplining courses a 250 room Hotel,this ominous promise about some kind of,amazing bathroom experience an ice,skating rink a boat ride that takes you,through a sunken city and then you,arrive at a three-story Ghost Ship you,climb out of the boats you explore the,Ghost Ship you climb back in the boats,the boats take you through haunt to,Pirate caves and then you see a giant,animatronic sea serpent you get it you,actually get on boats and take you,around you go through a sunken city you,go to a three-story Ghost Ship you get,off the boats because one of the things,we wanted to do that Disney didn't is,Pirates of the Caribbean you can't go,run around and explore well at our place,you're going to get off the boat and,you're going to go explore three decks,of a haunted ghost ship then you're,gonna get back on the boats and you're,going to go past siren Island and you're,going to go into a cave you're going to,ride that boat into a cave there's going,to be a sea serpent in there now I,imagine you're hearing this and you're,you're like that sounds so cool that,sounds like the coolest thing you could,ever think of in fact it sounds almost,exactly like the coolest thing you could,think of it almost sounds like a little,kid sat down and daydreamed about their,ideal theme park and then impulsively,announced that they were building it,without planning any of the logistics in,Walt Disney imagineering there is a,stage in Project planning called the,Blue Sky stage this is the stage in the,creative process wherein imagineers will,pitch the most ambitious ideas they can,think of there's no thought toward money,or technology or even physics it's just,like pitch what you think would be the,coolest and we'll see what resonates,with the team the Blue Sky phase is one,of the earliest stages in planning in,the often years that follow the upper,management and the imagineers decide,what's actually realistically within,budget what's possible to build and,what's a priority and then they go ahead,and announce to the public all of the,things that they're actually going to,have and of course at the time of the,Evermore announcement the Park's opening,was only a year away they were,presumably well past the Blue Sky stage,in fact in their behind the scenes they,videos you could see that they had,already hired a lot of the staff notably,even a team of special effects makeup,artists who wouldn't even be needed,until the park opened and yet at the,time of the Park's big announcement many,couldn't help but notice that they,hadn't even Broken Ground on the,construction site the major news outlets,that reported on it just kind of took it,at face value and didn't go into much,detail they were just kind of like it,sounds like a new theme parks coming to,Utah sounds great but if you look at,like theme park fan blogs from around,this time you can see that there's a,healthy dose of skepticism already going,around some questioned the parks,creative team directly but were told,that there was nothing to worry about,the park was just going to open in,phases so like yeah it sounds ambitious,but not everything's going to be their,opening day the first phase of,construction would only include the,London Street the Town Square and that,aforementioned three-story ghost ship,pirate boat ride with the giant,animatronic sea serpent a much more,attainable goal no well no there were,those that still had their doubts but,the Evermore team insisted they were,right on track part two the inventor,when I heard about the project one of my,first questions was who's behind this,usually when you hear about a new theme,park there's some kind of giant,recognizable Corporation behind it if,you hear they're building another,Disneyland or another Six Flags that,makes some level of sense even some new,production company throwing their hat in,the ring checks out like if suddenly,Nickelodeon is building a theme park but,when you hear there's going to be a new,elaborate theme park in Utah and it's,being built by some guy it's a little,more mysterious so let's explore some,guy Ken Brett Schneider is a,50-something who made his fortune in,Tech he founded a company called Digi,cert which specializes in digital,security you know when you visit a,website that handles sensitive,information like your insurance provider,or your bank your browser displays that,little lock icon next to the URL so you,know you're at the real page and you're,not being fished for your password or,anything else like that that third-party,company is paid to provide this service,and there are two or three of these,companies that you see around a lot like,let's look at Facebook if you Mouse over,the law icon verified by digisert,Twitter verified by digisert Tumblr,verified by digisert thank God they're,keeping my romantic Gifts of Sherlock,safe so in 2002 Brett Schneider founded,digisert it did Super well and then he,sold off his portion for like a whole,lot of money I wasn't able to find a,definitive number that he made from this,sale I've seen guesses in the tens of,millions and guesses in the hundreds of,millions some of these guesses are,stated very assertively but I think,basically nobody knows the exact number,except him anyway the relevant,information is that his foray into Tech,made him very rich so subsequently with,that money he did a lot of other weird,projects in 2010 he founded deep Studios,a film production company they made a,handful of indie films the most famous,probably being 2013's Skinwalker Ranch a,found footage horror movie in 2012 he,became the CEO of a company called,people water it was a bottled water,company founded by a former Bachelorette,contestant their website is defunct and,I couldn't find any reports about the,company after 2015 so I think they went,out of business in 2013 he started a,record label called hidden records which,I guess was like a sub distribution,label under red distribution which no,longer exists I could only find concrete,evidence of hidden records ever actually,signing one band and that band resigned,to a different label in 2015 so I think,hidden records no longer exist either in,2014 Brett Schneider co-founded a,Barcade in Sherman Oaks called the one,up that one still exists it's got four,stars on Yelp I think it's doing okay,2014 also brought the announcement of a,new project called The Air Center this,would have been in downtown Salt Lake,City and combined a hotel restaurant,nightclub this would never be built and,the plot of land would go up for sale in,2016.,the first thing we've seen while we're,here,would be remiss not to mention another,and maybe the most important Brett,Schneider project his annual tradition,of decorating his family home every,Halloween for years he would transform,his property into grander and grander,haunted houses and not for money or,anything just like a festive thing for,the neighborhood to enjoy in 2013 The,Haunt saw over 11 000 guests and Brett,Schneider only requested that attendees,bring a donation of cash or food for the,Utah food bank this made him something,of a neighborhood Legend So in the news,of the theme park first broke there were,a lot of locals in his Corner The,Narrative as a whole looked pretty good,A creatively minded Hometown hero he,made his millions in Tech but he poured,it back into his creative Endeavors his,passion projects He was a jack of all,trades a lifelong Enthusiast in,Showmanship and theme parks and now he,was going to turn Utah into a,world-class destination I mean honestly,what could possibly go wrong part 3 the,void in May of 2015 it was announced,that the Evermore project was,indefinitely on hold but that's actually,not why this section is called the void,the good news was that while Evermore,was on the back burner Brett Schneider,would be focusing his energies on a new,business venture he co-founded a new,entertainment company called the void,which stood for the vision of infinite,Dimensions the void was basically a,chain of virtual reality attractions you,would put on a helmet and a big heavy,vest and walk into a maze of essentially,plain gray office cubicles a,pre-programmed Adventure would then play,out in your goggles leading you through,basically a first person shooter video,game the 3D space you're in and all,physical objects in it were already,mapped out in the game so any place you,saw a wall in your goggles there would,actually be a wall whenever a door,opened in the game an automatic door,would open to let you out if you're,cubicle into the next Zone and obviously,instead of plain gray cubicles your,goggles were showing you the halls of an,enemy space station or a haunted castle,virtual enemies would shoot at you and,if they hit you a corresponding area on,your vest would vibrate unpleasantly and,there were a bunch of other little,parlor tricks which may made a huge,difference like if you walked across,Moss or alien slime there was a,corresponding squishy foam patch on the,ground so you could actually feel like,you were in that environment if your,character had to walk out across a,narrow bridge they've laid down metal,grating in that area so you feel like,you're really walking across it and you,can hear it if in the game you're up on,a high balcony there were upward pointed,pipes in the room that would blast air,in your face or heat if you were next to,Lava sometimes entire cubicles even,vibrated a little bit to simulate,traveling on an escape pod or an,elevator each individual element sounds,like a small touch but all of it puts,together made for a pretty immersive,experience and soon enough there were,different locations popping up,everywhere and I mean it makes sense,this is a concept that's basically built,for franchising it needed relatively,little space so you could put it into a,vacant store in a shopping mall and once,built the same Maze of cubicles can be,rearranged and repurposed again and,again by just applying new digital,visuals and then sending customers down,different routes and to sweeten the deal,the void started licensing familiar,properties to make different iterations,of the game so instead of just being,essentially a public domain arcade game,with a haunted castle the void suddenly,had the legitimacy of being like a,Ghostbusters experience a Jumanji,experience the Walt Disney Company also,saw a lot of Promise in the concept and,signed an ongoing deal for use of,several of their properties so we saw a,Wreck-It Ralph game an Avengers game a,Star Wars game based on Rogue one Disney,also personally rented out space for two,different void attractions at Disney,Springs and Downtown Disney these are,basically the shopping districts that,are next to the parks on both coasts,different locations offer different,games which could be switched out,periodically the games only lasted about,15 minutes but they could charge 30 to,40 dollars a person and the games would,often book out fully in advance I,imagine that the initial investment in,equipment could be quite expensive and,the setup costs of a given location but,once you add all that done and let,enough time elapse to gobble up those,initial costs it seems to me like you,could just kind kind of sit back and,watch your money print itself personally,I went through a few of the Void,programs and I really liked them I,thought the whole thing was really well,executed and all those little parlor,tricks I mentioned really did make you,feel more like you were in the world,once you had the helmet on and yet I and,many others considered this a,Bittersweet development VR is pretty fun,but it's totally different from a,tangibly real fantasy Village if I may,be subjective VR just isn't as cool and,probably won't be for at least a hundred,years or whenever they start putting,implants in our brains but there was,cause for cautious optimism because the,void success could be good news,forevermore firstly one imagines that,any Prophet Brett Schneider Madoff void,would eventually be routed back into,evermore's budget secondly there was,talk of a void location being installed,at Evermore to be honest the promises in,this regard were inconsistent sometimes,it seems like the plan is for avoid,location to be inside of Evermore,sometimes the goal is to build a seven,to eight pod virtual reality center next,to the park enclosed in a giant Dome at,other times it seems that this VR Center,will be in Salt Lake City perhaps as,part of the Air Center project in fact,in some articles the air centers,rebranded as the void VR Corporate,Center which will feature both office,space and public entertainment venues as,I've said the Air Center would remain a,beautiful vacant lot but let's check in,on our other favorite vacant lot,Evermore Park part 4 the land so in the,void era Evermore had been indefinitely,delayed the announcement said it was due,to financial difficulties and that's the,only official reason that the park has,ever given but I at least need to,mention another element there are a lot,of rumors regarding the location chosen,forevermore the 2014 announcement said,that the park would be coming to,Pleasant Grove Utah and the land,necessary was purchased but I'm guessing,a lot of you are not familiar with this,place Pleasant Grove is a small and,sparse City mostly comprised of suburbs,and honestly the parts of it that I saw,were like 85 percent office part this,Choice honestly feels extremely,reminiscent of the strategy that the,Disney parks used when they were,scouting locations when Disney bought,the property for Disneyland Anaheim was,like all orange groves it was drivably,near to Los Angeles so tourists could,still head that way but the land was,cheap and there was lots of room to,expand the city of Anaheim as we know it,now really became that way in response,to the success of Disneyland and the,tourism industry that sprang up around,it so in a similar Spirit Pleasant Grove,is about a 40-minute drive from Salt,Lake City I wouldn't necessarily call,Salt Lake a huge tourism City but it's,at least a population Center and people,can drive from there to your Park a,nearer neighbor is Provo which is a,relatively humble college town about 20,minutes from Pleasant Grove okay show me,the beautiful Provo View,girl,oh my God,oh my God is on the window,it's like it's drool from balconies it's,literally just like fresh the key word,here being humble which honestly could,work in evermore's favor after all there,are a lot of young people here and not a,whole lot for them to do on weekends,other than go to a couple outlet malls,or maybe do an escape room but although,this seems like an advantageous location,there was another factor to consider if,you moved your family into what you,thought was a quiet suburb with good,schools you might be less than thrilled,to hear that a theme park to rival,Disneyland is going in next door,Disneyland may have put Anaheim on the,map but it also moved in a whole tacky,subculture of gift shops fast food,Budget Motels not to mention traffic,through the whole center of town light,pollution sound pollution in the busy,season when they have fireworks,spectaculars every single night and,outside of Florida and California,people's cultural idea of a big theme,park is even less flattering think of,all those humbler operations like Six,Flags and Cedar Fair big hot expanses of,cracked concrete and towering ugly steel,roller coaster tracks that you can see,from miles away it's perfectly natural,to feel skeptical as a local homeowner,no matter how much pretty concept art,you're shown so allegedly the hostility,to the announcement by the people of,Pleasant Grove was part of the reason,for a reimagining of Evermore Park and,insiders also allege that every time,Evermore needed to clear any kind of,permit with Town Hall it was a huge,contentious battle and so in this,alleged effort to appease the locals we,see a brief shift in 2017. for a Time,Evermore Park was instead running with,the project name Evermore Gardens now,the park is hardly a theme park at all,we're told that there will be absolutely,no rides Evermore Gardens will be a,themed Botanical Garden the park May,host avoid VR attraction in one of the,buildings on property but for the most,part it will be about atmosphere the,gardens will be divided in into four,zones English garden Victorian Garden,Celtic garden and fantasy Garden sounds,pretty cool unfortunately this concept,is problematic for a few reasons firstly,it makes the project essentially,unrecognizable from what it was pitched,as but more crucially it's not even a,great business decision while in,Pleasant Grove I discovered that there,is a big tourist Hub about 10 miles down,the road called Thanksgiving Point it's,a shopping and dining district with a,couple science museums a big Golf Course,lots of rental homes and a gigantic,Botanical Garden I only took a cursory,look at the place on my last day in town,but it's free to enter and sprawls over,50 acres it has a greenhouse man-made,waterfalls and it hosts book clubs and,children's fairy tale meetups so what,I'm trying to say is that opening a much,smaller paid entry Botanical Garden,about 15 minutes down the road sounds,extremely foolish and maybe they realize,that because the Evermore Gardens angle,didn't last long but anyway at this,point in time it was just nice to see,that the project hadn't been entirely,abandoned part 5 the return of Evermore,finally in February of 2017 Evermore,returns fully from The Mists of,obscurity suddenly Brett Schneider,announces on the local news that the,plans are back on and not forevermore,Gardens forevermore Park Central Utah,specialist Sam Penrod is live on the,site tonight Sam it looks like this is,going to happen,yes Dave the Evermore Park project,seemed to stall over the past couple of,years but we're told construction is set,to begin here later this week and what,the founder believes will become a big,entertainment attraction here in Utah,every morning be opening as an 11 acre,Park still with no rides or attractions,this was fun as a selling point Evermore,was now less a theme park and more a,Botanical Garden experience Park the,main activity would now be immersive,interactive quests led by a,broadway-sized cast of character actors,so now we have a little bit of a middle,ground definitely cooler than a,Botanical Garden but definitely less,cool than a theme park to rival,Disneyland but don't worry the park,wouldn't just be a simple Renaissance,Fair it would be using world-class,state-of-the-art effects to elevate,these interactive performances these are,immersive theatrical experiences so,we're using lighting DMX controlled,devices smells sounds sights we're using,3D projection mapping costuming,puppeteering and different things to,create these really elaborate events and,don't forget about the that void VR,location going into the park maybe it'll,even be under a dome this reopening,announcement was similar to the one from,that 2014 Comic Con in that at the time,of the announcement the park was slated,to open only a year later in Halloween,of 2018. but unlike the Comic-Con,announcement this time they would meet,their deadline kind of in my opinion one,of evermore's first and worst missteps,is that it opened long before it was,ready to this is kind of like that,Spider-Man Broadway musical situation,you can open a half finished project and,call it a preview and a soft opening as,much as you want but when you're making,a commercial product that doesn't really,matter anyone who was going to show up,and write a review or an article about,your product is going to show up the,moment that it opens to the public and,review it then regardless of the state,that it's in and if you're not putting,your best foot forward you're just going,to squander all that free publicity only,to potentially put out an underwhelming,first impression so Evermore park opened,on September 22nd 2018 and they called,it a soft opening I have to imagine this,was for financial reasons a,half-finished park with a lowered ticket,price is still at least bringing in some,money and you can put that toward,finishing the project if you've run out,of funds I do think that opening at,Halloween time was a great idea as,they've said Halloween decorations were,Brett Schneider's specialty plus they,would put a more flattering veneer over,the entire park after all unless you,live in a rural area you've probably,been to a pumpkin patch that's really,just a parking lot and they've dressed,it up with hay bales and Scattered loose,sawdust on the ground and put a bunch of,pumpkins everywhere and suddenly you're,in an autumnal Wonderland it turns out,that American brains really just love to,look at like loads of pumpkins that's,literally all it takes for us Evermore,employed a lot of similar techniques the,empty Landscaping didn't look empty,because it was loaded with pumpkins,straw could be used to camouflage,incomplete features and everything else,could be literally smoke screened with,strategically placed fog machines,initial customer feedback was generally,pretty positive the buildings they could,see were beautiful yeah most of them,were so locked up and yeah the park had,a lot of chain link fences everywhere,half finished buildings and visible,construction sites clearly it wasn't,done the park opened with bare minimum,food offerings although they promised to,have more complex options later they had,no liquor license so although one of the,interactive locations was a Tavern,nothing was served there there were some,other small quibbles in the initial,reviews the interactive element that was,promised was very confusing to many,visitors there was no clear signage or,instruction and the actors didn't,volunteer information about the quests,unless you already knew how to ask about,them I don't think this is the cover and,we have to ask for like a quest,even yourself,what like slain a dragon and saving a,princess like that kind of quest yeah,and some scare maze elements that could,entertain teenagers just looking for,Halloween Thrills many guests were,content just doing a little archery,taking in the scenery making awkward,small talk with some actors and then,heading home early at least in terms of,the online feedback I could find most of,it was pretty encouraging there's a lot,that's not finished but it's really cool,already they're still under construction,so we weren't able to see everything but,what has been done was amazing right now,it feels a little more like a,renaissance fair and a dress rehearsal,for what's to come,um,yeah it's good to get in here and kind,of get a feel for what to expect when,you have I think it's a work in progress,right now but I was glad I got a quick,sneak peek and I feel like you guys are,gonna love it they still actually have a,lot of construction and work to do I,took that in mind going into this I look,forward to going back in about a month,when I feel like everything's going to,be more completed the perk wasn't done,but they'll be adding a lot in the,coming years it'll be really cool then,this verdict from the locals meant that,people would not be coming from out of,town to check it out because it just,didn't sound worth it which honestly,probably greatly diminished the,potential customer base it seemed that,at this point what little hold Evermore,had ever had over the minds of the,general public slipped away for good,their curiosity satisfied but the,important thing was that the park had,actually opened an obstacle which in,previous years had seemed insurmountable,and it could only get better from here,part 6 lore from the start Evermore was,always intended to operate seasonally,with different themes throughout it,would close four weeks to months in,between so that the part could be,redecorated and presumably so actors,could be briefed on the new storylines,there is a canonical explanation for,this Evermore is meant to be a town,removed from time a liminal space,surrounded by portals to many different,Realms and times this means that,aesthetically Evermore can borrow,elements from multiple fantasy genres,and time periods so they can have a,medieval village a Victorian Cathedral a,quaint fairy tale Cottage a hobbit house,saving of Steampunk stuff when the park,opened it had this automaton named Tip,Top who would stomp around and thump on,his stomach in Delight Evermore has some,residents who have canonically made,their home in this town and other,characters are just passing through you,the guests are yourself visiting through,a portal from Modern Day Earth so even,that works in Canon and the citizens of,Evermore call the guests from Earth the,world Walkers so that's you you're a,world Walker in each season of operation,new portals open to let in new creatures,from different worlds so in the winter,time maybe a poor portal opens to a,world of whimsical snow fairies at,Halloween time maybe a portal has led in,a Sinister Faye King who's trying to,take over each season has its own,General overarching story and I'm told,by fans who have a more intimate,knowledge of the lore that the time,setting will also change between Seasons,so you might go to the past of a,previous season and see different,characters or you might jump into the,future on the timeline to help keep it,straight every season has a different,name as of now a spring season has never,come to pass but the park leadership,have expressed interest in doing an,operating season at that time of year,it's just never happened the summer,season is called Mythos this was pitched,as a magical mid-summer Lantern Festival,celebrating fairies dragons and other,forms of Magic the concept art shows a,massive illuminated Dragon winding,through town and Jellyfish hanging from,the trees one year The Summer Event was,called pyra or maybe PIRA it was pirate,themed but then the following year The,Summer Event was called mythology again,lore is the Halloween event so you see,when I called this section lore it was,actually some very clever meta humor you,didn't know it at the time but you may,laugh now,that I told you,well that's probably long enough anyway,lore has two different phases at the,earlier part of the day it's a more,child-friendly Halloween event where,kids can trick-or-treat for taffy from,the characters and look at big pumpkins,then as the sun goes down it starts to,get spookier and converts into a more,Sinister and jump scare based experience,closer to what you might find at,Universal Studios Halloween Horror,Nights or other scare mazes like that,all the information I could find,indicated that these two time periods,were not separately ticketed which I,honestly find very strange because,demographically they seem like two very,different experiences I'm sure some,people like myself for example would,love to go and do both but maybe they,could have utilized like a colored,wristband system in order to sell,cheaper halftime tickets to the people,that don't want to stay all night Aurora,is the winter event and more,specifically the Christmas event this,part of Utah is overwhelmingly Mormon so,there's little motivation for businesses,in this area to have secular winter,activities during Aurora the park hosts,an interactive version of A Christmas,Carol wherein you can follow the,characters around if you wish in San,Francisco there's an annual event called,the Dickens fair so Aurora sounds like a,slightly less elaborate version of that,but they have fantasy characters out too,for people who want the more typical,Evermore experience the perk announced,that in January of 2021 the Christmas,Aurora operations would make way for the,winter but not Christmas themed event,winterloom it seemed that this event,would have been more about ice snow,magic the Northern Lights,Etc but I'm afraid winterloom would,never come to be oh my God I forgot my,gamer lights were they on the yes they,were on in the other Clips turn on gamer,lights,yay although the seasonal names for the,most part repeat each year one lore is,not the same as every other lore so it's,not like if you go one year at Halloween,you have no reason to return for the,following Halloween because it will be a,different experience to be honest I feel,like the naming conventions don't make,this clear enough especially when one,random summer had a different name I,could imagine unfamiliar guests just,assuming that two mythoses are the same,as each other also if I may be,subjective I dislike most of these names,lore doesn't evoke the vibe of a,kid-friendly pumpkin patch or a teen,friendly Fright Fest so I imagine both,demographics might just Overlook it,entirely Aurora doesn't evoke the idea,of a Charles Dickens Christmas Carol,Mythos is fine but if you put the word,Mythos on a billboard nobody's gonna,know what it is in my opinion until your,local customer base has the faintest,idea what your Park is you need to,promote extremely basic season names,that spell it out for them this Summer,is very fast at Evermore come see the,summer of dragons Christmas Village,winter masquerade pumpkin Town ever fear,it's cool to have this story about,different portals opening to different,Realms and it makes sense for those,portals to all have their own names but,maybe those names should just be a part,of in-game dialogue and literature then,the super fans can learn them if they'd,like but the words mean nothing to a,non-fan so they should not be used in,marketing at least until the part gets,enough of a foothold that locals do know,these words and then it'll mean,something to some Rando that's driving,past a billboard anyway each season had,its own totally unique storyline there,would be a unique threat to the safety,of the town or an object that all the,guilds are trying to get or various,characters would be running for mayor,and in some cases the stakes were pretty,high like they would have wizard battles,characters could even be killed off and,then the actor would just be recast in a,different role there are a handful of,dedicated locals who try to Chronicle,all of these story developments either,through text in Discord servers or,through capturing footage of as many,major store beats as they can find I can,see that a fan Wiki has been created but,nearly all of the pages are still blank,templates although I did stumble across,some kind of intense Google doc shared,by the mods apparently in past seasons,of Evermore the park would hand out an,ever-changing newspaper summarizing what,guests had missed this is a good enough,concept although I question how useful,some of this information would be to an,average guest but honestly I wonder why,there isn't more of an online guide,being maintained by the part you'd think,they could put character profiles up on,the website or at least summarize the,major story arcs of people considering,whether or not to go can know what,they're getting into I have heard from,former employees that at one time,characters shot little introductory,videos the idea being that when guests,bought tickets digitally they would then,be emailed a randomized video so they,could at least get to know one character,before they showed up and then there's,kind of a connection like if they see,that character in the park it's like oh,I know this guy but for whatever reason,that system was never implemented and,these alleged videos remain unreleased I,think it would at least behoove them to,put that kind of content on the official,YouTube channel I do also so if we're,being honest find the story pacing a,little odd it seems like a little too,much of the experience depends on being,at the right place at the right time on,the right date in theory this could be a,good thing in that all guests would have,a unique experience but all guests have,any unique experience is only really,cool if each of those experiences is,roughly equivalent in quality as it,stands now it seems like you can either,come on the right night when there's a,wizard battle throwing Fireballs back,and forth or the wrong night where,nothing exciting happens at all I,already expressed my intent to go to the,park right so I wonder which kind of,night I will experience it seems like a,large portion of the clientele are,families who are only visiting once and,may never return so it feels important,to make sure that every night has some,kind of standout moment the closest,equivalent theme park experience I can,think of is the ghost town alive event,at Knott's Berry Farm for a couple,Summers the Parkwood staff actors to,live in the Parks Cowboy town they would,similarly interact with guests give them,tasks and convey major are story beats,with a newspaper will Yeehaw I have it,right here I keep it in my big binder,theme park maps a normal thing to have a,big difference is in Ghost Town alive,the actors are canonically meant to be,ghosts they don't know that they're,ghosts but that's what they are and,they're stuck in like a ghost time Loop,that's why every day the event is,Founders Day every day the townsfolk are,electing a sheriff and trying to stop,the same group of Bandits every day has,a gun fight at the same time and every,day has a celebratory Founders Day,hoedown and your little errands can,influence the story so different days,have different outcomes for various,characters and then there were a couple,random days that were made special for,the guests like instead of walking in,for the climactic confrontation the,bandits would ride in on the Park's real,steam train but if you weren't there on,that particular day it wouldn't feel,like you had a lesser experience you can,go on any given day and both see the,ramifications of the things you've done,with the characters and feel like you've,seen all the major beats of a story,there's one night of evermore's story,that's widely talked about on the fan,and groups most people refer to it as,the night Evermore went dark this was a,night during lore so there had been dark,creatures threatening Evermore through,all of the storyline but it had finally,come to a head so on this one night,about a half hour before closing time,the creatures all rushed the town,storming into once safe areas the,characters all started screaming and,running hurrying guests out of the park,back out through the portal they had,entered from so the front gate,and then once all the guests were,outside the gates were closed frequent,visitors were thrilled to be there on a,night that something exciting had,happened but first-time guests were in,some cases confused and angry supposedly,complaints from some guests prompted,management to reopen the gates because,they couldn't just close the park early,but when they did reopen it was to an,eerily empty town this left a cool,mystery for the following week what had,happened to everybody would they be okay,again a tantalizing story for guests who,already knew they were returning next,week but kind of a frustrating and,confusing end of the night for one-time,visitors who had no idea what was going,on I also think it's worth noting that,story beats of that intensity which are,unprecedented and happen without prior,warning are possibly an unwise choice,for a family part it seems that a lot of,parents whether they're supposed to or,not do let their kids roam unsupervised,within the park and this is not,discouraged by Park management so if,everyone is suddenly booted outside I,could see that being a real safety issue,also it might have occurred to you that,hanging out in a crowded venue and,suddenly having everybody screaming and,running and telling you to get out and,you don't know why might evoke imagery,of real disasters and acts of mass,violence which have happened at Real,Entertainment venues,so I can imagine being quite alarmed if,you're at the park for the first time,and happen to not know the minutia about,the bee plot brewing with the Faye King,and his evil minions anyway moving on to,another story element we have guilds,different characters in the park belong,to different guilds which guests can,help through quests or even join these,are roughly similar to the character,classes in Dungeons and Dragons I tried,really hard to find a definitive list,somewhere of all the guilds but it's,pretty confusing Evermore doesn't really,maintain their own guide and guilds also,seem to be introduced and then,eliminated throughout different seasons,but anyway here's the list that I've got,the knights the Rangers and archery,Guild the Pirates the dwarves these guys,mostly just play covers of popular music,to you,the Blackheart Hunters these are the,most unique Guild they're basically like,a group of Van Helsing style Monster,Hunters old Seasons appear to have had a,bards Guild but I think they no longer,exist at least one season had a guild,called The Wolves of winter my,impression is that this was sort of like,a barbarian Guild lead these two trials,one final one the following week,and you will be part of the path I I,think they don't exist anymore either,there are elves but I don't think,they're a guild and some characters,called the Rangers The Elven Rangers but,none of the Rangers that I saw seemed to,be elves it seemed like they were two,different groups so I don't know what to,make of that the dragon riders in,previous Seasons called the dragon,trainers there are fairies and some,guests say they've been given quests to,join the fairies Guild but this might,have been improvised by the actors it,doesn't seem like this was a guild that,was ever recognized by the park unclear,there appears to be one wizard just,kicking around one guy so I think that's,not a guild and lastly I heard there,were witches but it seems that there,aren't anymore and that's all of them,that I'm aware of again would love some,kind of guide or glossary curated by the,park I did my very best it seems that in,some storylines the guilds are at odds,with one another and in others they're,just coexisting without incident I think,for the most part this is meant to,function like the Hogwarts houses like,it's just kind of fun to belong to a,club and now I think you've got the,Basics you've at least got what I knew,going in so from there the story of,Evermore was ever changing ever evolving,with each season and you're probably,wondering what else changed the answer,is not much yeah remember it opening all,those people that were saying they were,excited to see Evermore when it was more,finished just as soon as management had,gotten through what they called phase,two of construction well phase two never,seemed to come some of those unsightly,chain-link fences around construction,sites came down but not because,construction was finished the unfinished,buildings were just out in plain sight,the paths to them usually blocked off by,saw horses there were some uncompleted,buildings that just needed their,Interiors finished so a couple of those,were polished up and open to gas a,miniature train ride was installed to,circle the park and they opened up an,Affiliated themed restaurant just,outside the gates the plants began to,grow in and give the park a more filled,in look but it seemed that the buildings,that were incomplete at the Park's grand,opening would stay that way part 7,plague comes to Evermore I don't know if,you guys have heard of it but in 2020,the US was hit by something called the,coronavirus pandemic forcing a lot of,people to stay inside and some,businesses to close indefinitely many,chain restaurants were able to weather,the storm of the pandemic but it was a,killing blow to a lot of independent,businesses you can only imagine the kind,of setback it would be for a newly,opened theme park still trying to recoup,its construction costs this was also a,crushing blow to void VR virtual reality,experiences are not an essential service,so unsurprisingly locations were,required to close surprisingly for much,of the pandemic Disney's two theme park,adjacent shopping districts did stay,open for shopping and outdoor dining but,the VR experience entailed walking,through narrow cubicles touching things,and oh yeah wearing an enclosed helmet,on your entire head that other people,have been wearing and breathing on all,day even if they had been legally,allowed to operate I can't think of any,number of bleach wipes that would make,people want to take on that activity in,a pandemic so even as its neighboring,shops were open to customers and foot,traffic the two Disney void locations,would remain shuttered and oh it gets,worse the void fell behind on rent,payments but more painfully they fell,behind on licensing payments to the Walt,Disney Company out of all of Brett,Schneider's Ventures at the time the,void had always seemed like the most,robust and the safest bet but now with,the unexpected Obstacle of the pandemic,the void was struggling and things were,looking Grim all around so let's look at,our timeline as best as I can pin it,down June 2020 Utah business reports,that Evermore Park faces five separate,lawsuits from unpaid contractors each,owed between twenty eight thousand and,four hundred thousand dollars July 2020,Disney posts a notice of eviction and,determination notice of the licensing,agreement on the Windows of the downtown,Disney void location since the shopping,districts are open to the public these,legal letters are immediately,photographed and posted online for,speculation and ridicule August 2020 the,last update to the void website appears,it notifies customers that locations,will remain closed indefinitely guests,with pre booked tickets are refused,refunds instead they are instructed to,rebook and promised a free credit for an,additional experience that same month,Evermore Park launches a GoFundMe to try,to rescue the park if you read far,enough to see what the funds would be,used for and mentions things like,developing new merchandise building new,structures on the property launching a,podcast guys what do you think it costs,to launch a podcast I mean yes that,could help with publicity so like why,not but you could have done that at any,time and you don't need a hundred,thousand dollars from your fans to get,it started and I'm not an accountant but,doesn't it seem like any funds raised,ought to be paying those outstanding,debts to contractors first October 2020,the void signage is completely,dismantled from both Disney locations,meanwhile the Vegas location is taken,over by a competitor January 2021 the,void website goes completely offline,meanwhile Evermore announces that the,park will be abruptly laying off a huge,chunk of their staff a fantasy fiction,theme park here in Utah has notified,employees they are no longer needed the,owner of Evermore in Pleasant Grove,telling Fox 13 after the pandemic forced,the Park's closure for nearly four,months earlier last year and limited,audiences ever since they've lost,upwards of a million dollars the layoffs,consist of the bulk of the interactive,character performers leaving only a,theoretical Skeleton Crew to operate,food service and some of the extra,activities I say theoretical because,after the conclusion of the winter,experience Evermore does not reopen for,January February March or April Park,officials claim that the closure is not,permanent that they would reopen,sometime in the coming months and that,when they did reopen they would move in,a New Direction without actors you're,probably wondering what new Direction,the pandemic saw many theme parks,scaling down or phasing out interactive,character performers but if Disneyland,closes the interactive princess Hall,they still have Splash Mountain at,Evermore the performers are the,attraction they're basically the only,attraction so at this point pretty much,everyone takes this as a death knell for,the park and I sit at home bitterly,resenting my failure to go before its,Extinction meanwhile fans of the park,were outraged many of the same people,who had donated to the GoFundMe campaign,were past patrons of the park who had,interacted with and loved the character,performers part of the incentive to save,the park was surely to ensure the,continued employment of these people so,now not only were the layoffs bad,publicity but they also felt like a,deeply personal betrayal to a lot of the,most loyal fans of the park they all,take to the fan pages on Facebook to,vent their frustrations and allegedly,Ken Brett Schneider and his wife showed,up in the comments to argue with fans,which is never a good look I say,allegedly because a lot of the,contentious content in those fan groups,is swiftly deleted oh hey speaking of,Swift part 8 Evermore V Swift in,December of 2020 Taylor Swift releases,her ninth album Evermore hey that sounds,familiar so initially the park responds,with Good Humor absolutely love that,everyone online is talking about us,hashtag Evermore thank you oh wait it's,an album at Taylor Swift anytime you,want to come visit us please let us know,why thank you for the spotlight hello,and thank you to our new followers we'll,assume that you were here due to the,hashtag Evermore mix up good to have you,with us just a reminder being from other,worlds are allowed in the town of,Evermore but they must check in with the,pirate Guild first thanks and of course,this is their reaction because this is,honestly pretty good news for the park a,lot of people are probably trying to,Google the album and accidentally,finding the Park's website which is,pretty good free marketing for a Park,which is completely unknown to all but,the most die-hard theme park enthusiasts,but this piece could not last in,February of 2021 Evermore files a,complaint against team Swift for,infringement of their copyright some of,the complaints are about what you'd,expect from a copyright lawsuit a,document refers to Taylor Swift's,Evermore merch as counterfeits of the,original Evermore Park merch and I know,what they mean I feel really bad for all,the people who hopped on Google trying,to buy merch for an obscure Utah theme,park unknowingly clicked on Taylor,Swift's website and were duped into,buying her stupid album merch instead,they must have been so disappointed the,complaint also points out that Taylor,had the gall to sell her album on Apple,music the exact same platform that,Evermore had already used to sell their,Celtic violin and wind chime music,Back Off Taylor Apple music is theme,park Turf other grievances mentioned are,frankly bizarre the Evermore album,includes a song titled Evermore and 14,additional songs six of which include,explicit lyrics the explicit versions of,the Evermore album are provided with the,parental advisory warning shown is,she is a lonely witch all the time only,The Ghost and the little black cat doll,accompany her she wanted someone to play,with her but no one has ever been,willing to set foot in her castle,every year the month she looks forward,to most is October people like her only,on Halloween because this witch gives,them a stationary,it's usually around this time in,September that she will take out her,bullet journal to plan for October and,get ready for others to join her,by making bullet journals and looking,forward to Halloween in October she,finds some simple solace in her lonely,mood,with her brush pen fine liner and,markers taken out,she is now ready to work on her bullet,Journal,if you want to join her then let's start,together,foreign,and welcome back to another stationary,Pals video,our theme for today is Halloween it was,a pleasure to sit down with you to make,the journal,as you can see I started with a frame,that looks like an old and aged piece of,paper,Halloween is my favorite holiday so I,wanted to create a Halloween Vibe here,you should have noticed that I've added,some spider webs to the top left and top,right corners of the paper as well as,some spiders weaving webs and hanging on,top and I've also added some bats to,make it more interesting,then I peeled off a small piece of tape,and stuck it in the middle,this time I chose to use black and,orange for the font with alternating the,font color and making it look more,bizarre with a shaky font I think I have,created an evil Vibe for this dark,holiday,just like how I shake my hand here,during writing you will be able to,create this style of font,I then peeled off the tape after drawing,lines along its side,I plan to make this space look like a,wooden board or a sign,after that I fill in the color and write,down October,the font I choose has a spooky,appearance that will make the layout,more interesting,I really enjoy the decoration and,atmosphere of Halloween but not the,bloody creepy ones,what I really like,are the cute and spooky ones that make,me feel safe isn't that strange,what comes to mind when you think of,for me it will be graveyards dead trees,ghosts and other dark Elements which you,will be seeing here in the corner I,wanted them to appear as Rich Vivid and,Lively as possible,I also added some extra Doodles such as,some cute ghosts,hand is,Stars eyeballs and so on I want to make,these elements more colorful in general,the page on the right side is looking,very cute now,on the left side I started by placing,two pumpkins in the top left corner,honestly I always wanted to add,different faces to these pumpkins like,some not so smart faces,but never mind,after drawing the pumpkin I drew a large,black frame along the edge similarly I,reserved a blank space in the lower,right corner to add a potion pot that is,bubbling I don't know if the color,should be pink or green,but I chose to go with purple,this page will be my quote page so I,wrote down I'm so glad I live in a world,where there are Octobers in the middle,of the page which is obviously a good,fit for this month isn't it I used four,different fonts for this quote to make,it more interesting you can change the,fonts according to the way you see,Halloween,I think it is a very Halloweenish and,cute theme so if you like you might as,well try adding these Doodles and,decorations,let's move to the next two pages it will,be my monthly calendar and can see that,I used the same paper frame I think it's,really interesting,this month I didn't use a ruler for the,lines because I wanted a raw feeling,I used gravestones for my calendar and,wrote the date for each day at the,bottom,there are 31 days in October and I think,it will be a really long working month,oh my goodness,for the days of the week at the top of,the calendar I filled in the orange and,then I kept using a goofy font for it,hmm did you notice that there's a lot of,empty space on the far right,this is the place where I've set aside a,to-do list,when I was thinking about the Halloween,theme I almost forgot about the wizard,hat,first I drew a simple wizard hat then a,rectangle below it,Tada the to-do list is done,in addition I added some Doodles such as,spider webs and a black kitten in the,bottom corner aren't they cute,the next two pages will be my habit,tracker and mood tracker the first thing,I did was the Habit tracker on the left,hand side for the top part I decided to,decorate it with spider webs the idea is,to have the spider thread hanging the,spider as well as the letters habit one,thing that I really want to mention is,that October marks the start of the last,quarter of 2022.,so we should be starting to make changes,and it is not too late to form good,habits I used a mini calendar for this,habit tracker as I often said this is,the beauty of the dotted notebook we can,draw a line easily by simply connecting,the dots,for the top part I chose to go with,purple and green brush Strokes for the,Halloween vibe for me what I want to,track for this month,includes reading,calligraphy hydration,sleep and others I haven't picked up a,pen in a long time to practice,calligraphy,this month I'm hoping to pick up a pen,and practice again I've recently put a,lot of things on hold in order to keep,up with the busy Halloween work,I like the speed and pace of growth but,sometimes I also want to pause for a,while take a deep breath and take a,giant step forward after the break,after all having a healthy and positive,attitude is key to embracing each new,day energetically,isn't it,the page on the right side is my mood,tracker I am going to use pumpkins as,decoration this time as you can see I,also chose orange for the font and I,drew two different faces in the pumpkins,I like the pumpkin on the right better,because its face is so silly and amusing,I am about to draw two big pumpkins,guess what they are for,ta-da,can you see I put 31 days on the body of,the pumpkin,and at the bottom I drew three squares,with three different colors which,represent happy calm and sad,respectively,when using just select the color of your,mood and fill it in directly I am so,excited to see layout,still feels empty so I added some,additional doodles to the top to make it,look more rich,have you guessed correctly,I'll make a brain dump section on the,left and the my favorite stationery of,this month on the right,for the brain dump section I would like,to put down some unique ideas or any,random thoughts on it do you have a,brain dump section in your Journal as,well,next on the right hand side is the,section for my favorite stationery of,the month for September my favorite,stationery is the sun star Nini P marker,pen and highlighter check this out it,has two tips on one end,the color of the highlighter tip is a,pastel shade and at the same time the,fine liner tip is a slightly darker,shade that matches the highlighter,the two tips are conveniently positioned,next to each other you can switch,between writing or highlighting with a,simple rotation in your hand this pen,not only saves my time it also saved,space in my pencil case because now I,only need to carry one pen to enjoy two,functions,this pen was really my favorite in,September now it's on sale at stationary,pal and you can use the code clearance,35 to get 35 off,think you should try it,the final two pages are my weekly spread,for the first week of October I divided,the two pages into seven sections each,section will be a day,I thought there might be a lot of things,to get done in the first week so I set,aside enough space for it,to decorate each section I used the,Halloween color scheme such as green,purple orange and yellow for the layout,I also added some crystal balls for,decoration,did you notice that we still have a,blank space in the upper right corner,I'm going to make a tasks section out of,it and I have put a wizard hat and,potion bottles to make it look more,Halloweenish,finally I doodled,October and added some more Halloween,elements to fill in our weekly plan,section and,we're done,with the weekly spread being done that,brings us to the flip through,I really enjoy making this
