Halloween Classroom Ideas – My FAVORITE Halloween Activity for Upper Elementary!

hey teachers in this video i am going to,show you my absolute favorite activity,to use in the month of october this is,the perfect way to keep your students, engaged while they practice important, math and ela skills, all right it is officially fall which, means i am eating all the pumpkin things, and watching the nightmare before, christmas on repeat actually that's,always a hot debate amongst me and my,friends is the nightmare before, christmas a halloween movie or is it a,christmas movie i'm team halloween but,let me know down in the comments what, you think but anyways all of that aside,i also love bringing fall into the, classroom and just finding ways to,engage, students with the seasons and the, holidays of the seasons so in this video,i want to share my absolute, favorite october halloween activity with, you it is an escape room and if you, followed me for long you know i love a,good escape room so i'm going to show, you exactly how i created this halloween, escape room so that way you can create, your own or really you can apply, anything that i'm about to show you in,creating an escape room for any holiday,or any subject area, now i also want to let you know before,we dig into it that if you don't really, feel like making your own escape room, and i totally get that that's fine i,have linked the escape room that i'm,going to show you in this video down in,the description so if you just want to,grab that from me,you can do that it comes with both a pdf, version for in-person students and a,digital version for your virtual or,hybrid students actually you can use the, virtual one with your in-person students,as well if you want something for them,to do that's a little bit more, stationary,so let's start by talking about this, escape room now one thing that any good, classroom escape room needs to have is a,theme i find the best way to get my,kiddos to buy into one of these, activities is with a good theme,so the theme for this particular escape, room is that students are wandering, through a forest and they stumble upon a,mysterious house, they walk inside and find that they are, trapped inside of this haunted house, called ghostly manor and the only way, that they can escape this haunted house,is by completing this series of,challenges and like i said i incorporate, math and ela skills into most of the, activities so let's look at the, different activities we've got going on,with this escape room so the first, activity in this escape room and you'll,notice i title all of the activities, room and with a number because they're,pretending that they are going through, the rooms of this haunted house and, completing these activities, now i have got a short passage about the, history of halloween in the united, states,on the activity sheet, but some of the information is coded so,they have to use the key,to decode the information and as they're,doing this decoding activity they're,learning about the history of halloween, and where it came from and what holidays,it actually originated with so i always, love anytime i'm doing any sort of,holiday escape room is incorporating, some kind of history about the holiday, and so this activity is where i do that, here all right,so the next one is something that i,think that's particularly important when,it comes to halloween and that is,safety,so a lot of my escape rooms i will, incorporate a pigpen cipher which is,what you see here, and you can actually easily download a,pigpen cipher just google pigpen cipher, font and you can download it to your, computer and create all kinds of puzzles, just like the one that i have created, here but for this particular activity, they are using the pig pen and cipher to,decode trick-or-treating safety rules so,i think this is especially important in,today's day and age it's great for kids,to be able to go out and trick or treat, but they need to stay safe while they're,doing it so now's a good time,to review that information, and you can use this pig pen cipher like,i said with literally any decoding, activity, all right so activity number three i,also like to incorporate vocabulary into,my escape rooms a lot of my students, come from backgrounds where they don't,have, real expensive vocabularies and they, really struggle with vocabulary when, they're reading and identifying words,so what i've done for this activity is,it is a word search type activity where, they're looking for different words and, then pulling letters from the different, words to answer a riddle and i've tried,to include a combination of words with, this one you'll see some that are very, obvious like pumpkin and then i've,included some adjectives like haunted or,words like cemetery or cauldron that, they may see when they're reading, different books that we're using at this, grade level so always look for ways that, you can incorporate vocabulary into your, escape rooms and you don't have to just,go with the obvious words look for more, creative adjectives that you maybe want, your students to be using or nouns that, are associated with the holiday all, right i told you there are some math, activities too so let's go ahead and get, into that now with any escape room, activity you can very easily create word, problems related to the activity so for, this specific one i have created a,series of word problems that are related,to things that are happening in ghostly, manner the haunted house that students, are supposedly trapped in,so they will read through solve each of,these word problems and create a,numerical code for this activity like i,said super easy to create word problems, associated with really any theme or,holiday that you're using for an escape, room that's what i love about a lot of,these activities is that you can take, these type of challenges and incorporate, them into anything that you are doing, all right number five this is more of a,fun one um not as much ela and math in,this one compared to some of the, activities but i think it's okay just to,incorporate some fun into your escape, rooms as well, but for this one what i really like,is there's a clue, and then next to the clue, there are letters that are scrambled and, they have to de-scramble those letters,to respond to the clue and figure out, what the clue is talking about so i,guess they're still using some context, clues here as well we are incorporating, some of those ela skills but this one is,really fun because each of the clues are, related to different types of candy and, halloween, treats,so,kind of cool to learn where some of,their favorite candies may have come, from and last but not least we have, another, math activity this is a graphing, activity,i created this bar graph inside of,powerpoint so very easy to use the, graphing tools inside of powerpoint or,word or any office tool and just create, your own graph it doesn't have to be a,bar graph they have all kinds of,graphing tools there so whatever type of,graphs your students are working with at,their grade level you can create, something but i've created a problem, situation where students are analyzing a,graph about the amount of candy eaten at,ghostly manor the haunted house that, they are supposedly trapped in,and then they have to answer a series of,multiple choice questions utilizing that, graph and the answers will create a code, for them so there you have it those are, six, fun activities this is my absolute, favorite activity to use around, halloween it gets students up and moving, around the room where i set up different, stations the story gets them really, excited about learning but they're also, incorporating math and ela skills that, they need for state testing at the end,of the year, and so they're getting valuable, information and having a lot of fun at,the same time like i said you can, incorporate these activities into any, escape room that you're creating or if,you're interested in this particular, escape room that i've showed you you can, find it linked down in the description, but i hope that you and your students, enjoy using this particular activity or,something similar that you create and i,hope that you have a very happy, halloween so until next time happy, teaching

TEN fun Halloween Activities for Kindergarten, First, & Second Grade // October Activities for Kids

TEN fun Halloween Activities for Kindergarten, First, & Second Grade // October Activities for Kids

hey everyone in today's video I am,rounding up 10 of my favorite October, slash halloween-ish type activities now,I say halloween-ish because only some of,them actually directly relate to,Halloween many of them actually just go,with common October themes we're going,to talk about bats and skeletons and, spiders and all that fun stuff some of,these activities I have shared in the, past many I have not some of these are, going to be free some others are not but,I'm going to run through all 10 of these,in a pretty quick way just so you can,see exactly what they are and I will, always share where to find each one,um as the video is going and also, remember that to find links to any of,them they will be down in the, description below and funnily enough,October is just one of those months, where I actually had a hard time, narrowing down just 10 activities to do,this month some months I find that with, like themes that are happening you can, find so many different fun and engaging, activities in other months it's a little, more difficult but October is one of the, those where I found a ton so these are, just 10 of my favorites and if you are, ready to hear them give this video a,like subscribe to my channel and let's,get started, all right lesson number one is to teach, all about bats now pretty much every, month that lets you incorporate some,non-fiction learning around an animal of,some kind I just find that it is highly, engaging for our K-2 students so in,October not only do we learn a lot about, pumpkins and the life cycle of a pumpkin, but I also like to teach a little bit, about bats and spiders now bats and, spiders both have a little creepy effect, that students are naturally usually uh,engaged with for some reason they're,like ooh creepy crawly and all that fun, stuff so first I like to focus on bats,so when teaching students about bats I,actually like to teach them a little bit, about bats and then compare them with, owls so I like to use these two books, right here these are just the National,Geographic the little readers and they, share tons of quick and easy and fun, facts about both bats and owls so I'd,spend a little bit of time reading both,of those books aloud probably bats on,one day owls on the other day and then,we would go ahead and practice comparing, and contrast testing these two animals, what is it like about these animals what,is different about these animals and in,my October writing unit I actually have,a bunch of differentiated Pages for, students to go ahead and compare these, two animals of course we have a Venn, diagram that I would probably use, together with the class I would put this, under a DOT cam and we would talk about, what is different about bats and owls, and what is the same and then as with, all of my monthly writing units we have, differentiated Pages here some where, students can go ahead and Trace and then, complete the sentence stem so I would, have them do both of these Pages bats, and owls are alike because and bats and, owls are different because then there's,another one here that I would probably, use in the first grade where it says, bats and owls and then it has a word box, down below and we have the word alike we,have different we have fly wings, nocturnal bird mammal just some of those, words that they are going to use when, describing bats and owls and comparing, them and then for second grade we have, some pages here with just the lines and, still a word box in case they need it,and of course a blank page for them to,write their own thoughts so you can see, those writing sheets are really, applicable to kindergarten first and, second grade depending on which one you,use and how much you know pre-teaching,you're doing with your students to have, them compare the animals so to recap, activity number one is to teach about, you about owls, activity number two is going to stick, with that back theme and after teaching, students some non-fiction facts about,Facts I like to read them a fiction, story like this very popular one,Stellaluna now I love reading this story, for many different reasons it's a cute, story about a little bat who is,separated from its mother so when I'm,reading this story in October I usually,am focusing on retelling the story, specifically thinking about the, beginning the middle and the ending of a,story and I actually have an interactive, read aloud lesson for this book,um in this unit right here this is my,interactive read aloud units for the, year and each month I have separated by,a reading comprehension skill with some, classic read-aloud stories that you, would read with your students along with, tons of higher order thinking questions,to ask them and Stellaluna is included,in this unit which I would usually read,in October so when reading Stellaluna, here is what the interactive read aloud, lesson looks like like they are all set,up the same way with some terms to,define a preview of the book and then I,have it separated by Page and what types,of questions and interactions I would, ask for students to do while I'm reading, this book aloud and then for each book I,also have a reading comprehension sheet,so here students would draw the most, important part of each section of the, story beginning middle and end and then,I also have a writing sheet here where, students would summarize the story below, and hear their tasks to make sure that, they only mention the important parts of,the story that writing sheet is clearly, geared more towards second grade, students in terms of actually completing, that sheet but the question itself can,be something that with your kindergarten,or first grade students you discuss as a,whole group so activity two is to,practice some reading comprehension with, the story Stellaluna activity number, three is a newer favorite of mine and, that is to read this story right here I,Need My Monster by Amanda Knoll now I,think there's two other others in this, series by now because it was so popular, but I love to read this fun book with my,students and then have them create their, own monster I love this story because it,has a little bit of spook but it's,mostly just a lot of fun for students to,dream up their own monster that would, hide under their bed and protect them, and not only that but after we create, our monster we use adjectives to,describe our ideal monster so you could,do this completely on your own like I,said read the story and then have, students just draw and create their own, monster and maybe use some words to,describe their monster,um in the writing sheet that I had for,the bats versus owls in that writing, unit my October one I have this lesson,in there as well where we read this, story and then students will actually, create their own monster,um by walking through these steps so I,show them that there's different monster, bodies they can have all different, shapes so we do basically a directed, drawing but they get to choose all, different things here they're going to,add different arms and legs and you can, show them examples some eyes and mouths, they can use horns whatever they want, and then they can decorate their monster, and color it in I would basically have, students do that on a big piece of,construction paper and then I would have, them write different adjectives to,describe their monster or you can have, them write a sentence or a paragraph to,extend that with a little bit of writing,so Activity three make your own Monster, alright activity number four is called, place value pumpkins and this is from a,Halloween math freebie that I made quite,a few years back here is what place, value pumpkins looks like this is,essentially just a collecting game where, students are focusing on making bundles,of tens and ones and here I use straws,so students would take turns rolling, some dice they would find that many, straws and as they continue to roll and, collect every time they make a group of,10 shown here by the straws they put it,into their pumpkin after students go,back and forth a few times they compare, the pumpkins to see uh who had the most, and when doing so you want them to like, count by tens and then the extra ones I,explained this in the freebie but, basically the only thing that makes this,a Halloween game is I use those little, pumpkins that I think I got from,Oriental Trading I know they have them,at the dollar store too but they just, kind of themed up the game but you can, play the same game called place value, cups instead of pumpkins in the same, exact way that game right there is,actually one of three different freebies, that can all be themed up with some,Halloween items but they also don't need,to be Halloween at all,um and that is in this freebie right, here I will have that link down in the, description and that unit right there, has the directions on how to play place, value pumpkins and it includes two other, bonus games that I think your kids will, like all right activity number five is,gonna stick with math and this is our, easy skeleton strategy game now I love, this game because not only is it fun but,it is very simple essentially you just, have a big skeleton board like this one, right here and you need 10 Q-tips you, will place the Q-tips on the skeletons, like they are are the bones and then, students need to take turns and they can, remove either one or two bones at a time, they can choose how many but the goal is,to be the last person to remove a Q-tip,from the skeleton the game is as simple,as that but as students start playing, they'll start to try to gather some sort,of strategy and they're practicing a,little subtraction so it's a fun little, math game as well now in order to play, the game all you need is a box of cotton, swabs and to print off some sort of,picture of a big skeleton I do have a,game board and the directions included,in this unit right here my haunted,Halloween unit this is back from like,2014 but it is filled with a bunch of,Halloween specific activities for,Reading Writing math and more so,Activity 5 is to play the skeleton, strategy game Now activity number six, that I want to share with you is,actually included in that same Halloween, unit and it is called the spooky,Halloween riddle now this activity is a,long time favorite of mine I actually, did this with my students back in 2013,that was the first time I shared it with, them and all you need to do is have, students create a directed drawing of,themselves so they'll make a little,self-portrait and then they have a,little Halloween mask that they can, decorate and cover their eyes with, here's a picture of what it looks like, and then the riddle part comes in,because it says who is hiding there you,ask who is the classmate behind that, mask and students are tasked to think of,some things to describe themselves maybe, some things they love to do,um some words they could use adjectives,to describe themselves they could share, what they're dressing up for as,Halloween this year and then at the, bottom as the teacher you go ahead and, cover the answer to the riddle so the, student's name with a piece of,construction paper now I would always, have my students do this and we would, put it on a bulletin board outside so as,students teachers parents are walking by,they can read the riddle look at the, picture and try to guess which classmate,it is and then they can lift up the flap,to see if they're correct so there you, have activity number six which is to do,a spooky riddle craft all right activity, number seven is to make sure you read, this book right here I love the story, creepy Carrots by Aaron Reynolds there, are so many great themes and everything,to talk about with this story I love, using this when we talk about, illustrations in writing too because he,keeps the whole thing dark and to add to,that creepiness effect now I love to,read this with the whole series he also, has creepy pair of underwear which is,very funny for your K-2 students and he,just came out with creepy crayon which I,just read to a second grade class last, week and they loved it in fact they all, found their purple crayons and kept it,on their desk all day because they were, pretending that it was too creepy to,keep in their desk now I shared this, last year but after I read creepy,Carrots with my students I like to have, them do a fun stem activity either with,a partner or with a small group and I,will give them each an orange Cube to,represent a carrot and they have to try,to build a structure to contain the, carrot so the carrot can't get out and, they can use that with all different, materials whether you have Legos Magna, tiles uh just other types of Cubes, popsicle sticks whatever you want you,can kind of give them a bunch of,different options and then go ahead and,try to build that there are many books I,love to read in October but this one, tops the list all right activities, number eight and nine are both related,to spiders and they're both entirely, free so I'm gonna lump them together let,me show you what they are first is a,very simple spider word family craft, that I created again almost 10 years ago,uh with my first grade students because,it was a simple activity and we're,working on word families so this is what,it looks like right here it is just an,easy craftivity we talk about how, spiders have eight eyes and they also, have eight legs and then they go ahead, and cut out the legs and all the pieces,to create their spider and then I will, give them a word family ending so here,we did at and students have to come up,with eight different words in the at,word family and they write them on the, legs again very simple straight to the, point and it's kind of a great, decoration if you want to spray Bruce up,your classroom a little bit Now activity,9 is a much newer freebie it is one I,shared last year and it's actually a,series of freebies that you can use when, teaching about spiders here is what it,looks like there's a quick outline here, that tells you some of the stuff that's,included in this freebie like a kwl, chart a recording sheet to share about, spider facts that you've learned an,opinion writing sheet where students can, share if they think spiders are creepy,or cool they can go ahead and compare, arachnids and insects and then I have, two different math games one is called, spider bump and one is called spider,Shake where I share how to play each, game in this freebie I had actually made, and compiled all those spider freebies, last year because I was subbing in a,first grade classroom and we had a,spider themed day so that's why we have, some writing activities or reading, activities and some math activities as,well and last but not least Halloween, activity number 10 is another freebie, for you this one is very Halloween based, because it is a free Halloween mini book, now this is what it looks like right, here it has eight different pages and,it's geared towards first and second, grade there is first a little passage, with a brief history about Halloween and,a comprehension check-in there is a,candy word search for students there are, three different writing prompts with, illustrations a quick Edition practice, game and then there's a page to share, some Halloween safety tips before, students go out trick-or-treating with,Halloween falling on a Monday this year, that type of little mini book is,something I would do with my students, throughout the day on Monday before they,go out on Halloween night all right so,there were 10 different fun October,halloween-ish activities that you can do,with your students this upcoming month, like I said I had a hard time even, narrowing it down but I wanted to share, some of my favorite books I read aloud,as well as some of the different, activities I like to do for Reading,Writing and math I also sprinkled a few, little crafts in there as well as a stem, activity so you have enough for the, whole month now like I mentioned at the, beginning of this video in the, description below I will actually number, each Activity 1 through 10 and then I,will link where you can find each one, because they're kind of separated in,different places and the freebies aren't,all connected in one so I will link each, activity and where you can find it as,always I hope you enjoyed this video if,you did please give it a thumbs up so I,know make sure you are subscribed to my,channel and click that Bell that way, you're notified of every new video see,you in the next one bye, foreign

this game you can use, vocabulary halloween vocabulary would be,great like for, example cards like pumpkin, what do you get witch werewolf,or even other cards other vocabulary, that you have and that you have been, teaching for your halloween party,or your halloween demo class so to play, this game, you will need two students let's do,another little bit of magic, wow that's cool each kids will have,to hold a card like this,in his bag okay let's,get the cards right over there let's try, great they got the cards in their bag,wow i like that magic,so each kids will have to try to see, what's in the other kids for example, ken who is in red over there will have,to try to see,the card that it is in,um sam's back okay but,as the students do not hide the card, like he's doing that's not fair, hold it like this okay, make sure the other student too okay, and then they are going to try,to see ken in red over there is going to,try to see, what is a sam's back,so uh let's see uh,how they're gonna play all right are you, ready guys, yes i'm ready are you ready yes,so you're gonna try to see what's,in his bag okay you know you know the, rules right, okay are you ready, okay three, two one go,uh everybody's saying sam sam go go,it's always funny but sometimes you got,to be careful, keep them safe let's see,an example, first to see the card and say it out, loud is,the winner an easy game but a lot of fun, okay, yes what do you say yes you saw the card, very good give me five sam okay, good job and that's how you can play the, game, ken you did a very good job show me,your card please what is that, word werewolf yes, very good werewolf and, that was pup king so sam you did a,good job give me five he's the winner of,the game of course you can play, with two teams like everybody can play, and that can make,a lot of fun there was mike from mike, saw me asl, thanks a lot and happy halloween, everybody,hi guys this is mike from mike's home, esl today, another tutorial with a flash card game, still for halloween so we got, some of my keys in here my students can,you say hello everybody, hello, all right cool so we're gonna play a,game,a very very simple game that you can, play of course with grade 1 or grade 2,students but, even in kindergarten it will be,more appropriate but we're going to see,how to play these games, more for kindergarten that's mine, from mike's home yourself just check, this out what we got, were, wow good okay so i need, one kids to play who wants to try,uh okay uh all right let's come, baby sonny sami please stand here, you're gonna use your hand trying to,slap the card okay okay are you ready, yes i'm ready cool but before you must, say, yeah you must go like this okay which, which, which okay okay all right and let's try,to slap the card at the same time let's,go,over there oh my god oh there yes, over there come on say it witch, shout it out witch fish, you got it this time okay thank you give,it back,to me right which wish okay, thank you sonny good girl sit down, please, great so i remember that one witch, okay let's do another one with werewolf, werewolf, okay good who wants to try of course, ken always want to try can so,with sunny we just use our hand yeah, please can stand here, now can come to me come to me kevin good, now you're gonna use your, nose okay no hands hands in the back, good and then use your nose trying to,hit the car and say, werewolf okay let's go,come on come on okay over here,oh my god,oh,good boy give me five i'm a bit, easy man oh my god great, okay let's see another another card what,is that, good job pumpkin great,so now who wants to try somebody else, who wants to try,uh susie come here baby,so we've here sushi come on there come,on there,we've used our hand our, nose now you're gonna use your, head okay you're gonna go and jump, jump like this and say pokey, okay say it higher as you can okay, say it loudly as much as you can okay, all right so you go with hulking let's,go,all right thank you susie great,so remember that word what is that, good job oh let's play well i don't have, other cards so we're gonna, still use that one uh we still use,we're still gonna use pumpkin so now,i need the last one who wants to try a,boy would be good, boy a boy my small mic,so small mine come come in front come, over there so i'm like you're gonna,we've used our hand yes our nose, our head now you're gonna use your okay, all right are 273 - Top 6 Easy Halloween Party Games for kids

273 - Top 6 Easy Halloween Party Games for kids

hi guys this is mushy from hershey's the, assault world, since it's halloween and many people are, asking for games and activities in the, classes,i'm going to show you a few of them and,i hope you'll like it so first of all, these days every school they have these, hats right, and you probably have hoops too how to,play the game let me show you,i got it i got it,oh i missed it so i got two of them or,if you have very small kits you can also, use the big hoops,it is so easy to play like that, that's it game number two is more, interesting, the foreign teachers can get the ghost, costume or the monster costume or the, pirate whatever, and the local teacher should have a bell, all the students for example if you have, four, five or ten kids at the same time the, local teachers should have a bill, she should be with the students turn off,the lights, blindfold the ghost or the pirate or,whoever is it,right so the local teachers and all the, students they're gonna go to the corner, quietly and ring the bell like that the, ghost, the blindfolded ghost will try to find, them, bad meanwhile those students in the, teacher, they're gonna go to another corner, quietly and there they're gonna ring the, bell like that,so the ghost gonna follow the sound, ghosts gonna follow the sound and they, can have a lot of fun, when you turn off the lights there'll be,more fun there, and with the sound effects they'll be,definitely more fun hope you like the, game, game number three i call it mushy, monster game,so for the halloween you can improvise, like you can get some candies, let's suppose they're candies so if you, want to involve the parents the parents, can, stand there or the parents can sit here, and the kids are in front of them, their parents they are kids here mushi,is a monster,or wearing any costume here get all the, candies and place them here, around like that randomly randomly, like that mushy monster or mushy ghost, gonna go,to sleep here like that, when the local teacher ring the bell or,just say one two three go,the kids quietly go quietly girl, pick up one candy and run back, pick up one candy meanwhile the monster, will try to wake up,will try to wake up and scare the kids, and meet one and scare the kids and the, kids gonna run back to hug the parents, this game is a little bit scary but, since the parents are there they're,gonna help the parents it's more fun,it'll be fine and you can easily play, that game game number three is very, simple and it works very well if you, have just few kids in the class,if you got those spiders plastic spiders, somewhere these days they have a lot of,things here,or if you don't have it you can simply, print out the small spiders, and you can cut them you can cut them, like that you can get the straw, one two three, four let's suppose you got four spiders,so you can have four students here, and have a spider race game so you can,say one two, three go and bigger and blue, let's see which spider won the spider's,race it's a very simple game too, that game number five trick or treat, you need simple paper cups like that and, also print out the, vampire monster ghost bat and pirate etc, small stickers here, and stick them inside the cups like that, just take them you also need few candies,so,the students sitting here in front of,you you're wearing costumes sitting in,front of them and having all the cups, with stickers, and some of the cups with no stickers, with no pictures with no ghosts or,vampires, you can place them all in front of them, and try to quietly, hide quietly hide let's suppose, these two cups have no pictures no,stickers inside,so you can put some candy inside like, that,so variation number one is make sure the, kids don't see the candies, you quietly put it there kids come one,by one and you can say trick or treat, and then they can try to choose one cup, they can try to choose one cup like that,if they got candies if they got candies, they are lucky they're going to take the, candies and go back,if no candies if they chose this card, then it's a monster, they're going to run and say go away, monster go away,or go away vampire go away like that,so this is the variation number one of,the game number five if you are teaching, this game to teach some vocabulary, some words like ghost and vampire or bat,or pirate,or whatever then what you do you're,gonna print out the words and stick them, outside,so make sure the kids can see them make, sure the kids can see like it's a,monster,so they can see here right like that and, then you can try to put some candies, let's suppose you have four cups then, you can put,two candies in under two cups like that, like that right so make sure they have, the pictures and they can see the, pictures clearly, then again you're gonna shuffle them, you're gonna, like that now how to play this game you,can ask them when the kids come here one,by one,you can ask them who are you let's,suppose he says,i'm a monster and if he got a candy he,can get the candy and go back,or if he says i'm a ghost and let's see, this is a ghost, cup here you're gonna check no candy, right, and then you can scare them and say i'm,a ghost, and the kid's gonna run back and say go,away ghost go away, try not to scare them some of the kids, are very sensitive so don't change them,or don't go very close to them,so that's it hope you will enjoy these, skins and, happy halloween knock knock trick or,treat, happy halloween happy, halloween

HALLOWEEN Activities for the Classroom | Halloween Books and Crafts for Kids

HALLOWEEN Activities for the Classroom | Halloween Books and Crafts for Kids

hi everyone it's susan jones and welcome, back to my sunday spotlight,in case you're new here every single, sunday i show up on youtube with a,tip an idea an activity a game something, that you can take and use in your, kindergarten first or second grade, classroom, right away this week i want to dive, right in and i'm here to share, two october themed books that i love, and a halloween-ish type activity that i,love for the month of october, let's dive right in,the first book that i love to read in,october is i,need my monster by amanda knoll and, this is a fun one it is so cute for,the you know five six seven year old, crowd and,it has enough like scariness to kind of,keep them on their toes but not enough,to actually scare them, but essentially it's about a little boy, right here, who needs his monster who's under his,bed he has a monster that lives under, his bed and kind of,keeps him in line it keeps him in his,bed because he doesn't like to have you, know, his feet hanging off the bed or doesn't,like to get up and walk around because, his monster's gonna, catch him or eat his toes or something, ridiculous so,what happens is his monster leaves for,the night, and he knocks on the floor and he tries, out, five or so different monsters and none,of them work spoiler alert in the end,his monster comes back and he needs his, monster his monster loves him, yada yada besides just how cute it is i,love this book for,the vocabulary uh you know i crouched to,the edge of the bed first of all, crouched, great word hoping to see a horrible, shaggy arm with, sharp ragged nails that's just one line, the amount of vocabulary words, and different techniques for you know, describing things in our own stories,is top notch in this book good evening,he said in a high, silky voice there's just literally on,every page there's so many, great uh vocabulary words and figurative, language that your students can really, dive into, and this is definitely one that you can, read over and over, what i love to do after you read this, book as just a you know, maybe like right before halloween type, activity is i have students create their, own monster, throughout the book you know you kind of,learn all these different qualities of,the monsters that come to visit him,and the way that the author describes, them so,with their own book i mean sorry with, their own monster, they can use all these cool different, adjectives to describe, what type of monster they would love to,have, under their bed so if you don't have i,need my monster add it to the list i'll,link it down below, there's actually like three other ones,of these there's are you my monster, have you met my monster how i met my,monster i believe this is actually the, first one,i haven't read the other ones but this, one like i said is such a winner it's,just a great fun book, also for those of you doing remote, learning um if you don't have a copy of,it there are tons of copies that are, read, aloud on youtube that you could go ahead, and, share and then have your students still, you know create their own monster with, adjectives to describe them the second, october book i love to read,is stellaluna this is the cover of,course i have a copy and yes of course i,cannot find it right now,but this is the cover in case you don't,know what this book looks like but this,is a classic that has been around, forever it,is about a little bat who gets separated, from, its mother and it finds itself in a,bird's nest, and you know we kind of talk about the, differences between the bats and the, birds and, just the little journey of the bat, trying to find its way back to,its mother it is a really cute book and, just coincidentally because i always, read this in october it has,in the past gone along with my uh the, skill of retelling,so i have an interactive read-aloud unit,it looks like this, there's about 80 different picture books, that i have spent the time making a one, page read aloud for,and it has you know stopping points on,different pages with higher order, thinking questions, and each of the books i usually choose, one skill, that is really highlighted within the, book and for stellaluna, and i should mention this because with, all of the books there's quite a few, skills you could choose, but with stellaluna i always focus on,retelling specifically with the, beginning the middle in the end,and like i said because i read it in,october it just happens to,fall in line with that and it's a great, book for talking with your students, about what retelling is how we tell what, happens you know, sequentially beginning middle and end,but also more importantly i love to use, this book to point out, important things and not important, things and how when we retell a story, you know,we don't just tell every little thing, that happened right we pick out what's,the important thing that happened at the, beginning, what about in the middle and what about,at the end and with each of the books i,have in my interactive read-aloud unit, along with stellaluna,i have a reading response sheet so for, this one i actually just have three, boxes for a picture, and students have to go ahead and draw,uh,what is most important at the beginning, the middle and the end to kind of tell, the story in a,we call it like in a snap tell the story,in a snap and then i also have a,writing response sheet as well for each,of the books so,stella luna like i said it's a classic,uh also there's a ton of versions on,youtube as well and then if you want to,have your students just go ahead and, draw, three pictures to represent the, beginning the middle and the ending of,that story, and lastly i just wanted to share a,halloween craft and activity that i have, used since,i think 2011 when i made this unit right, here,it's in my halloween unit and it is so,much fun,if you don't want to grab the entire, unit i'm just going to tell you exactly, how to do this craft anyway,um but the unit is i believe five, dollars over on tpt and it's filled with,a bunch of different halloween, activities that you can use throughout, the month, but this one is the mask craft and it's,funny because back in,2011 or 2012 i wasn't exactly thinking, about the type of masks we have to wear, now, but the whole you know purpose of this, was to describe ourselves and read about, our classmates,so the whole little quote that goes with, this is who is hiding there you ask,who is the classmate behind this mask, and, this is what it looks like when it's,finished essentially all you have to do,is in the unit there's a template for,a head and so they cut out the head and, they you know color it to,look like themselves and they can you, know add hair, add their skin color add everything, about themselves, and then they just go ahead and put a,mask there's also a template for that, mask in there, and they put a mask over their eyes then, you turn it into like a bulletin board, type of activity, and students will there's a planning, sheet for them to you know think of some, things that, they love about themselves and just you, know their favorite color their favorite, halloween candy just some, fun little tidbits about themselves then, they go ahead and write about themselves, and at the bottom, there's a little construction paper that, you actually flip up because you'll read, about each student,in your class or if it's a bulletin, board you know people can do it as,they're,walking through but you can read about, everybody and then you have to guess, which classmate you think it is then you, can, lift up from the bottom and see if you,are correct,it is just a really cute activity that, like i said i've had for, eight nine years now and i just wanted,to,make it have a little home here on,youtube because it's one that i just, think is so much fun,so there you have it two different, halloween books that i love in my,classroom with a couple activities to do,with each, and also that halloween craft that i've,just loved and used in my classroom, forever, and i hope you can at least take some of,these ideas and use them this october, with your kids,so if you're excited for any of these or,if you have any other halloween books or,crafts that you love to use drop them in,the comments down below so we can read, all about it and if you like this video, make sure you give it a thumbs up so i,know, make sure you're subscribed to my,channel and click that bell, that bell will send you an email every, single week when i upload my new, video see you next sunday bye,you

Decorating for Halloween!!! | High School Classroom

Decorating for Halloween!!! | High School Classroom

hello everyone welcome to my channel my,name is rachel and i'm a high school, math teacher in georgia so today what,i'm going to do is take you through a,complete haul of my classroom and, turning it into a halloween theme it's,probably not as expensive as probably, what you see in elementary school but i,did want to show you how i still am able,to do the same thing with high school, and make the environment just a little, bit more fun and engaging for the kids, and just kind of decorate with the, season so today is a monday it's,actually a teacher work day and i worked, all through morning so it's been like a,professional development day so all of,that is out of the way so i'm going to,use the last hour and a half of work to,go through and just kind of set some, things up um and just so that way when, the kids come back tomorrow it's all, halloween themed kind of getting ready, for halloween in a two weeks so hope you, enjoy and can use some ideas in your, classroom okay so first thing i want to,take you through is one thing i do with,my kids the last quiz we had i went, through and cut out some, pumpkins and cauldrons from our uh,library these are like little die cuts, and had them just decorate using markers, and colored pencils so i've made that, into um decorations you guys can see i'm,gonna string these up around the room um,so i have four of them i have one more, two string so i'm probably just going to,hang them up kind of along the back i'm,not sure exactly how i'll get up there,i'm a little too short for the ceiling,so i may have to get a ladder and bring, that in so that's one thing that i,always start off with so the kids come,in and they can see just all their, little drawings hanging up so i actually, have this box of things that i've had, from that i use your year that are just, like different decorations and things to,put on the wall and just like little, like statues of little objects and some, like things i picked up at garage sale,so that's really mo where most of this, came from was garage sales um so i'll,pull that all out in a second but i,usually every year just go to the dollar, store or walmart and grab some big items, like the spider webs i put those, everywhere, just some caution i found this cute, little light up hanging, ghost that i'll put in the corner, probably above my desk just some spider, webs to put on my bulletin board and, then i saw this this year i don't want,to put it on the outside of my classroom, because i feel like that's just still a,little too kiddish just because you know,it is high school but i'm probably going,to put this on the inside of my door so,that way at least in the classroom it's,still like super halloween like okay so,this is everything that was in the bin,is kind of a mess but most of the stuff,i got from the dollar store so like all, these signs this the flowers, banners things back here all of that, came from the dollar store the only, things that didn't were some items like, this or these candles and jars i found, these at a garage sale and the person, just let me have them when i told them i,was a teacher same with these like, little knickknacks inside so what i'm,going to do is i think start with my,bulletin board i'm going to start, hanging like a lot of these type felt, stuff, around and put some cobwebs up so that's,what i'm going to start off doing, okay so this is it so far i think it's,pretty good this is really all i'll do,with this and that's just it i don't,really put too much into effort on these,um everything from here is from the, dollar store these are actually uh 3d,printed spiders my dad actually has a 3d,printer and so he made those for me um,but yeah that's pretty good i think i'll,probably just pull this up and pin it in,so it's a little bit less thin in those, areas but that's about all i'm gonna do,for now on my bulletin board,so i also had an idea with these since, this kind of looks like a greenery area,i only have two of these so i think i'm,gonna go buy some more but i'm not going,to hook them but just like use um some, tacky tape and i'm going to put them all, along between these so it looks like, tombstones are kind of sitting between, these so i need to buy more so i'm going,to do that i think before i show you, guys but that's my idea here because,it's going to definitely look like a,graveyard with that up front so i'm,excited about that,so i also want to cover this top part of,the influencer sim pull some spider webs, over there i'm not really sure how i'm,going to stick this to the wall,i got to think that kind of through i do,have some like sticky like tacky tape so,i may do that but i think it'd be cool, for like some spiders and some cobwebs, over there so i think i'm going to try,and fix that next,so i think this looks really good it's,all over i'm gonna get some more spiders,i'm gonna put some bigger ones in this, corner too and probably put some like, hanging up the wall this i just figured, the tape worked perfectly i literally, just taped it in at the bottom put some, sticky like glue at the top but it,didn't really work so tape literally, just held it in i'll see how this ends,up holding up and kind of add that in,later but i think that should be fine, for now and then i'm just going to get, some more spiders and put those up,tomorrow okay so now i'm going to take a,lot of these decorations and i'm going,to fill this up so a lot of these like, knickknacks will go up here and the, banner hanging so i'm going to do that, next,so,okay so i just put this guy together,it's super cute i'm pretty sure this was, just three dollars at walmart i actually, may go get some more so it's probably, hard to see but when you turn it on it's,kind of flashing lights inside and kind,of see a little better without the the, cover but yeah this was three bucks so,what i think i'm gonna do i'm going to,hang this over my desk on my,flag i don't really want to hang this, from the ceiling just because like if i,need to turn it off i can't really reach,it so i'm just going to hang this i,think from my,um flag so it's close to me and behind,my desk so nobody messes with it and, then i have, these pumpkin little baggies let me find, those that i'm going to fill so these, are like i think little trash bags that, you can like hang with stuff in it like, you have to stuff them first again this,is probably like two bucks from walmart,so what i'm gonna do i think is i'm just, gonna get some paper towels from the, bathroom and stuff these tie them up and, then probably try and make like a string,of them along the back of the room and, hang those from the ceiling so that's,what i'm gonna figure out next one, stringing this and then filling these up,i have over here my spider web and i put,up on my little wall trigger treats on,my feet again those are all from the, dollar store spider web and i'm gonna, put some more spiders on that and i used,to have these spiders that kind of,climbed up the wall like these big big, ones but i think that um they broke last, year so i'm gonna look for some more, again at the dollar store these hanging, guys i ended up not tying the bottom or,stuffing them because it became too, small so i'm just kind of letting them, hang so they kind of look like little, ghost guys around my room like ghost, pumpkins so it's kind of odd but i have, those just hanging from my lamps because,i can't reach anything else so i need to,put another one there okay so i am done, for today it is 4 30 so i'm gonna head, out and just finish this tomorrow but i,do want to show you guys everything that,i did so far and then i think tonight, what i'm going to do is just go into uh,the dollar store and just get a little, bit more stuff look for some more like, tombstones put around the room and then,i'll do like a final reveal after i've,done everything tomorrow hello okay so,today is day two of trying to transform,my classroom a little bit i went to the, store this morning actually before work,i completely forgot to yesterday and, there were no more halloween decorations, anywhere i went to walmart the one by my,house had so many that's where i went, the first time and then i went by the, walmart on my way to work, nothing they've completely transitioned,to thanksgiving already so i didn't get, much, but,i did get a couple things to like hang,on the wall there was no more like, spider webs there's no more like little, things like this black thing the sheet, right there so i just kind of had to,like make do with what i had but i think,it looks super nice the only thing that,i still can't figure out how to do,is string,my like garland that i made the kit or i,had the kids make like the little, pumpkins and cauldrons so i decided, what i'm gonna do instead because i,strung them but then whenever i try and, hang them they all like want to slide to,one side and i just don't feel like, tying a knot between every single one, because there's like three garlands, worth of them i'm gonna make a wall in,here of just all the pumpkin and, cauldron decorations i'm just gonna have, the kids pace them so i'm trying to,figure out where i want that to be,i think like in the back of my room by,the,um laptop cart just because like that, wall is like a little blank so i don't,know i'm going to go go ahead and show, you guys what i have so far and, everything that i put together and got, this morning and then i will probably, during my first period just have my,first period do because it's a small, class and we can like knock it out super, quickly without it getting crazy i'll,have them hang like the cauldrons and,the pumpkins that the kids made and then,i think that should be it looks pretty, nice i'm gonna go ahead and take you, guys through a walk-through of like, right when you enter and everything, that's in my room, okay so here we are everything is up,the whole room is decorated i just i,think i'm gonna put all of the kids like, little pumpkins along this wall kind of,filling around like the headphones, and then over here i have all like my,little knick-knacks,the,cabinet and then the front so i'll kind,of take you through each part so okay so,this is the front i just like to hang, these these are all from the dollar, store these were literally a dollar each, the, two right here were actually from, walmart i picked those up this morning,so i just kind of hung a bunch of them, there i have a couple things on the, front you can excuse those those are, kids things that left again all of this,is from the dollar store, and then stuff from the past years as,well so then over here same thing those, two signs are from the dollar store,i just have some spiders and some,uh,hanging little baggies i showed those, earlier and then here's the back wall, same thing as before, and then over here this is like one of,my favorite things ever this actually, came from a co-worker so my first year, teaching i did this i decorated my,classroom and so she had this in her, basement and she never used it and so,she brought it for me so it's my like, little, like halloween scary house so i'm gonna, put probably some flowers and things, around here i'll pick up for like, thanksgiving stuff so i'll just kind of,end up filling up this whole corner with, flowers and decorations and then just, some little knickknacks trick or treat, and then my little side and again like i,said i just have a bunch of little, knickknacks that i fill this with so it,just kind of adds some depth it's,nothing crazy but when you look at it,you see a bunch of little things and, then i have these little pumpkin candles, and then i just covered my closet with, get out or keep out tape and that's,about it and then on my desk i just have,a couple things, this again this was from a garage sale i,have no idea but i told the lady i was a,first year teacher and she had it was a,moving sale and so she told me when she,was going to close the sale and then she, said i could come back and take anything,i want so i got a lot of really cool, stuff from her for free,so always an option people are always, trying to get rid of decorations so,those are always good places to find, stuff for your classroom and then i've,had this sign for forever probably the, dollar store walmart and i picked these,up this year,i thought these were super cute so i,picked those up from walmart this, morning when i saw them and put them by,my laptop to kind of decorate so that is,it uh i'll show you guys the wall once i,have it all done back there with the, kids stuff but yeah nothing much it,probably took me an hour, hour and a half max to put it all up so,i just keep everything in a trunk or,like a little box and then every year i,just bring it up and i just buy some new, things like this to put on the wall and,it's really not a lot and it kind of,doesn't look like it but when you walk,in especially with like the lights that,i have i have these lights going on it,really does come across as a lot and, like overwhelming in the room so the, kids always get super excited so yeah, nothing much nothing too crazy but, something fun for a high school, classroom okay so when i was editing i,forgot to actually show you guys or i,forgot that i never actually filmed this,i tried hanging them from the ceiling, like on the string but they just kept, sliding and it didn't work and i ended,up just taping them to the wall i think,i mentioned that but um yeah i should, have done that from the beginning i,don't know why i made my life harder, trying to hang things around the room so,i just had kids put tape on the back of,it in my first period and we just stuck, them all to the wall and i think that, looks pretty nice and it kind of fills,it up with color and just,i think more effect than just hanging it,so made my life harder thinking about, stringing i even got string from our art, teacher and i never used it so but yeah,i think it turned out nice,so yeah like i said probably like an,hour's worth if that i probably took me,an hour and a half just because i needed, stuff again that i didn't get enough of,but,it really took me an hour and then i,finished up this morning just like, little things like probably took me 30,minutes and then that was with recording, some things in between so it should have, taken even less,so i just think it's fun in the, classroom especially in high school, because kids don't get to see stuff like, this that often and then what i usually,do is like the friday before,um,halloween we either if it's like kind of,like a free day like we test thursday, that friday we do like a coloring sheet, that still has math like a color by,number i have a couple of those my,teachers pay teachers so i can link, those below as well but we'll just do,something fun and i put on like hocus, pocus or like a halloween scooby-doo or,something like that in the background or,if it's like test today,in preparation for test day we'll play a,halloween game which i completely forgot,so let me grab this i saw this at,walmart there were a couple other things, too and they were like four dollars each,so i'm gonna actually use this for a,review game the week of halloween so,i'll show you that real quick, okay so this is like throw the spider it,has like a gooey kind of spider and,it'll stick this thing was, five dollars at the dollar store or at,walmart and they have these like little, spiders that come with it so i think, what i'm gonna do is i normally play, like a grudge ball or something like, that where like they play in groups and,if they get a question right as a group, they normally can go up and either like, shoot a basket depending on the game,we're playing but like it's in small, groups so what i think i'm gonna do is,the same thing that same concept of have, questions and a group and if they get it,right and said this time they can throw, the spider and like wherever it lands, that's the points they get to add to,their group so i thought that would be a,good idea so there was other ones like, cute little pumpkins and you threw like,a it was like a corn toss or something, like that where you toss like a ball, into the pumpkin's mouth so you could do,that where if they like get it they like, can get a point or it could be kind of,like grudge ball instead of like, shooting a hoop to get a point or take, away a point then they can like shoot, into the pumpkin's mouth and that was, like five bucks as well so,some fun games too i think i'm gonna do,that the week of halloween because we'll,probably test that week as well so yeah, that's it i hope you guys enjoyed and,we're able to take some ideas back to,your classroom i do this every year for, like halloween thanksgiving christmas,we'll do it for valentine's day as well,i usually make the kids make chains of,hearts and stuff like that for, valentine's day and we give out, valentines to our teachers it seems, super elementary but i think it also, sometimes like gives the kids like a,nice little break from like the, intensity of high school and just like, kind of like that kiddish fun because, they are still kids and i think we,should encourage that like you are still, young you are still kids like you should, indulge in these things while you can so,i don't know i just love it and i hope, you guys enjoyed and take some ideas, back to your classroom thank you so much, for watching, foreign

HALLOWEEN CLASSROOM SET UP!

HALLOWEEN CLASSROOM SET UP!

hello sweet friends and welcome back to,my channel if you are new here my name,is bree i am a fourth year first grade, teacher and, this is teaching the tinies, this week is the best week ever because,it is officially, going to be october which means all, things spooky and fun and seasonal and i,love halloween more than any other, holiday it is my favorite holiday to,celebrate with the kids,it's so much fun and before we get, started i wanted to jump in and just, make sure to mention, every single one of my students does, celebrate halloween so,of course i wouldn't be decorating if,that was not the case but we all, celebrate halloween so i'm really, excited to decorate our room, make it all spooky the littles have been, asking if i'm gonna put up fun spooky, decorations so,i think they will be pleasantly, surprised when they arrive to the, classroom on monday morning,i did also want to share my super cute, little ghosty earrings i got these from, sheen,i've never ordered from shannon before, and they have some really good stuff,so that was exciting so i'm feeling, festive got my little witch's hat on,and then i wanted to show you guys a,couple of the things i purchased so,i always try to go like really cheap, with decorations so if they get, destroyed,no biggie we can move on in life but i,did want to show you them in case you're,looking for some cute little like fun, spooky things to add to your own, classroom, okay the first thing was some of these, witches hats and obviously i'm wearing, them, and i think these are actually supposed,to be for like tiny human costumes but,i'm going to use them to decorate the, classroom so,i got a couple of these and then i also, got these spider webs i am not going to,leave these creepy spooky spiders on,here,i think they're just like so gross, looking so i'm,actually going to take them off but i do,love the spiderwebs because they're,sparkly and fun so i did want to have,um the web part so i'll just remove the, spider and then hang these up somewhere,in the classroom, and then i also got some spooky, spiderweb because i mean what is,halloween without spooky spider wrap so,i grabbed some of these,i mean what this is so cute this was, three dollars and fifty cents from, dollar general, and it is just such a sweetie little, ghost oh i think he's so cute it's like,a casper the friendly ghost, and i just love him so much so i,definitely grabbed this cutie and i'm,gonna put him somewhere in our classroom, the next couple of items i grabbed are, just these very cute little, felt pumpkins and they're stickers but i,love that they have googly eyes and,i do pippa the pumpkin fairy which i,will talk about here in just a jiffy, but i just wanted to include these right, now and then i'll explain how i'm going,to use them here in a little bit, dollar tree always has the cutest things,so i got this little witch's hat which,is just so,sweet and then i got a little pumpkin, wearing the little witch's hat so these, are darling definitely had to have these, for the classroom,i mean just so cute in one dollar so,of course i had to have this little, boost sign also and then i got some of,this cute little, garland because it's just so cute and i,know the kids will love this so,i plan to string this hopefully around,my smart board area,so very very cute okay this little, garland is actually very near and dear,to my heart so,it is super adorable i want to say i,think i got this from like the target, dollar spot, five years ago maybe it was a long time, ago um but i actually, had this hanging on my student teaching, desk when i was student teaching in,sixth grade, five years ago so i love this i've held,on to it because it just has really, sweet memories and,i still think it's very cute so this is,really special to be hanging in my own, classroom um since i had it you know in,my student teaching classroom so,it's funny how things can follow you, through life and they still have the, same, significance that they did several years, ago so i'm really grateful i held on to,this because it's really sweet to be,able to hang it in my own room with my,own littles,i mean i don't really need to justify, this purchase because just look how cute,it is but this little witch's hat,was five dollars from family dollar and,oh my lanta, the sweetest thing it's all sparkly and,fun and,i just i want like a ton of these for my,own house i also grabbed this spooky, light set it does come in all these, different colors, and i thought that would be kind of fun, because i have orange and black light so,i think i'll hang these up somewhere, else in the classroom, and my target bag is just filled with, stuff i've used from years past,so there's like little spideys some, lights,um you know pumpkins fun things like, that but it's all kind of a hot mess so,i don't want to take time to untangle, that to show it to you but you will see,it eventually in the video okay and then, really quickly i did bring in some of my,absolute, favorite halloween books and i just, wanted to share them with you so my,absolute favorite of all time is,little boo this is so cute it's perfect, for teaching about the pumpkin life, cycle, and oh my goodness i just love it so so,much so little boo, best book ever pippa the pumpkin fairy, which is so cute,um basically pip of the pumpkin fairy, comes to visit our classroom, every october and she leaves little, surprises for the kids,um if they make good choices or they're,responsible or we just catch them doing, great things so,every day she leaves it for a special, friend and that's what the little, pumpkin stickers are for and then i also, got the cute little, like marshmallow pumpkins the candy corn, pumpkins and so she'll leave that in the, little sticker for them so very very, cute and excited to have this back in my,classroom this year, halloween hustle is just a really sweet, and fun story the kids always love this, one, going batty is a really fun book because,it's a glow-in-the-dark book and the, kids think that is just, amazing how to catch a monster which is,a classic it's great for stem activities, okay this one is not halloween related, but hedgehogs and it's autumn hide and, seek oh,hide and squeak excuse me that's so much, cuter than zeke, and i love this series hedgehogs, hedgehogs are my favorite animal if you, didn't know so i am just utterly, obsessed with these they're the sweetest, little stories, and pumpkin jack which is another really, great one that i absolutely love, okay my friends and that is all the good, things so let's get decorating three two, one, here we go okay first thing is first,we're gonna start back here and, this is a hot mess so i want to decorate, this cute little area back here which is,where my library is so the first thing, that needs to go,is all of this stuff so we're going to,get rid of that and then we'll start, decorating to make it all cutesy, okay here is the spooky spiderweb so,time to make this, little area all sorts of spooky, okay real life trying to put spiderweb,on things,is very very difficult and i have had, basically no success at trying to do,this so,we'll see how it looks with everything, else on top of it,okay that little cute house right there,is for our desk fairy but, pippa the pumpkin fairy is coming, instead so i'm going to move our, duskberry, and then i'm going to trade it out with, this cute little house, and this is pip of the pumpkin fairy's,house so sweet so i'm going to set that,up so that way the kids are like oh my,goodness who is that and then we'll find, out on,wednesday, okay just a quick little overview of the, classroom before i head out so,this is the little garland i added on,our smart board and then down here is,just our little spooky reading display, added this little spooky accent to,our work display and then if i back way,up you can see that i added some spooky, lights up there, and the cute little spiders that are, hanging on our board, back here is hands down my favorite part,of our little spooky display in her, classroom, just a bunch of halloween books and, halloween decor i love it because it's,not too overwhelming but it definitely, gives this little area some character, and some fun for the holidays, hit those little houses set up back here, and then here are some cute little, accents back here on our back bulletin, board, and over here is just a cute little hat, well my friend thought is all for, today's video i hope that you enjoyed it,i had so much fun creating this video, for you and i just really love all, things spooky season so,i think there will be more videos like, this coming in the future if you do,enjoy videos like this make sure to give,it a thumbs up and then hit that, subscribe button so that way you can, stick around for future videos to come,i'm also over on instagram at teaching, the tinies if you'd like to follow along, over there,as always i thank you guys so so much, for watching i think you are the best, humans on earth and i will see you in my,next video, bye
