costumes from Amazon and these are,not your basic every girl does them type,of Halloween costumes I think these are,pretty unique for the most part I,haven't really seen many people do them,if any but I'm really excited to jump,into this video Halloween is my absolute,favorite time of the year so I love,putting together these costume videos,last year y'all told me that I can't say,the word costume correctly,um apparently I pronounced it with an h,and I'm very sorry if that bugs you I'm,trying my hardest to say it right I,really I don't know what's going on here,so,um feel free to make fun of me in the,comments you all did that last year that,was fun we love it I probably do,pronounce it weird so you know free,reign make fun we go for it but if you,haven't already please make sure this video a,thumbs up it means so much to me and,let's get into this Amazon Halloween,costume try on haul I think we have to,start out strong with one of my favorite,costumes honestly I love all of these,that I put together in this haul but,this one especially I'm just really,excited about because I haven't really,seen people do it so this one is a,bridge,inspired Halloween costume I couldn't,really think of a better name than that,so let me know if you guys have like a,better term for what this costume is,because it's not a specific Bridgerton,character it's just like the vibe of,that time period and show but I am so,beyond obsessed with how this one turned,out and I want to let y'all know if you,want to do like a group costume with,your girlfriends this one would be so,perfect for that because the tutus and,the headpieces and I think the corsets,even did come in a bunch of different,color options so I think for a group it,would be the most adorable costume ever,to all be Bridgerton inspired and all,like wear this costume but in different,color schemes so like the blue one like,in this one there was like a pink tutu,and pink corset and I think the fans had,different colors too but if you get what,I'm saying I think this would be,adorable as a group one but also so cute,alone I think all these pieces just put,this together way too well like I love,how this one turned out everything from,the corset top the two to the headpiece,the stockings the little gloves and of,course the feather fan um this is like,genuinely such amazing quality I just,love how this one turned out there's not,really much more to say about that so so,cute and everything fit very true to,size the core set of course has like the,lace-up back so very adjustable you can,snatch your waist and do the whole thing,so every piece that I got for this,costume on Amazon very 10 out of 10,super impressed with it all and it came,together so beautifully and for the,shoes in this one I did end up wearing,these little heels that I got from,revolve so the heels are the only thing,that is not from Amazon but I will try,to find a similar pair that's available,on Amazon that look like these or just,another option of what I would wear with,this costume from Amazon for shoes I,love this I love this so much okay the,next one is fun it's a little bit edgier,and if you haven't around on my channel,for over a year now you've definitely,seen this costume last year I had it in,my Amazon Halloween costume videos but I,feel like it's so good and it wasn't,like over worn I didn't see very many,people doing this costume if any,honestly no I have seen some pictures of,people doing this on Pinterest but I,just feel like it's not a super common,costume but it's still so good and it is,one of the easiest Halloween costumes,perfect for last minute like,such a good one it is an ouija board a,Ouija board oh I don't know if I'm,saying that right let's be honest a,Ouija board a Ouija no it has an a at,the end a Ouija board that doesn't sound,right okay anyway this is simply the,easiest costume and I felt like a total,badass in this I'm not even gonna lie to,you guys but truly you could wear any,clothes with this which is why it makes,it so easy I did get this corset and,skirt off of Amazon which I love love,love so much so I definitely recommend,these but like you literally could wear,anything you want for this costume and,then just pick up the letter stickers,which I think this pack of letters,they're like scrapbook stickers they,were like eight dollars on Amazon this,this is such a cheap costume grab it,with Amazon Prime if you don't know what,to wear you got a last minute Halloween,party get these little stickers and you,are seriously good to go like that is it,of course I would recommend the corset,and skirt because they think they're,adorable and honestly this is the corset,that I'm wearing in right now like in,the sit-down portion of this video as,well so cute I'm going to be wearing,this like as just a cute little going,out Trendy Top so it's not only a,Halloween item for sure same with the,skirt obviously but I think this one is,absolutely killer it's not like the,basic like Angel or Playboy bunny that,every girl does but you still look like,a baddie because you can wear anything,you want something about like the,stickering on the chest I love it so,much and it was super easy it took me,like five minutes to throw these,stickers on so cute oh I also am wearing,boots with this one which are also an,Amazon piece but I like this costume and,it it's so easy okay the next one I,think this is also very unique I,literally really have not seen a single,person do this not on Pinterest Tick,Tock nothing of course I'm sure somebody,has done it at some point but in my mind,it's very original and it is a flamingo,it's so cute I think this one turned out,adorable so I picked up a little fluffy,like matching set it's a skirt and then,a bikini style halter top and it's furry,and fluffy honestly such a comfy set I,was very impressed the skirt is Fluffy,inside out and it's just such a cozy,little piece I threw on this little tie,front silk shirt that has feather,sleeves a little pair of heels of course,what puts the whole hook together is the,flamingo sunglasses and then I also just,picked up a little pack of pink big,feathers and just kind of threw them,throughout I put a few in my hair a few,on like the top part by the skirt you,really you know can do whatever you want,with this I think the feathers came in,like an eight or a 10 pack so you could,get creative with where you place them,if you really want to I thought I added,a fun cute little touch but I just think,this one's unique and very adorable you,could totally do this without the little,tie front top but I love having layers,and options so I threw it in there and,the shoes that I'm wearing with this one,are Steve Madden I believe you can get,them on Amazon because I know I get a,lot of my Steve Madden shoes on Amazon,but I'll double check and if not of,course I'll link something similar but,all the other pieces are Amazon Prime so,again another great costume if you know,you're looking for something last minute,but you want to be unique you want to be,cute I loved this one and all the pieces,the matching set the top everything was,also very true to size okay the next one,is kind of like a chill costume costume,I'm really trying to not pronounce it,with an H I swear another one that's,really easy but this is kind of like the,I'm wearing a costume but I'm not,wearing a costume I mean you are wearing,costume but like you look really chill,like you kind of don't care but you,still look cute anyway it is a cherub,Angel so for this one I grabbed this big,oversized tee I think it was a men's tea,actually and I just grabbed it in a,large but it has a little cherub angel,babies on it which I thought was,adorable and makes this costume a little,bit more obvious that it's not just an,angel It's a cherub Angel it makes it,chill too I love costumes that are just,a big t-shirt kind of like Ariana Grande,Vibes a little bit but for this one I,threw on a pair of angel wings and a,little flower crown and watching this,back I do realize that I'm wearing the,wings upside down so yes I am aware,um another thing you know you free reign,I'm wearing the wings upside down,definitely make fun of me in the,comments if you feel like it but the,costume's still cute um if you're gonna,wear it I would probably recommend to,wear the ring Wings correctly but do,whatever you want I was also debating,getting a cute little like bow and arrow,with this one I ended up not ordering it,I don't really know why but if you're,looking for another accessory for this I,think that would be kind of cute and,again I'm just wearing those black boots,with this one that are also from Amazon,they're just my favorite fall boots in,general and I love this I love a costume,that is like chill it looks effortless,but it's cute and it's different it's,not what every girl's wearing you could,totally do the Cherub Angel idea with,like a little matching set instead of,the T-shirt If you want something like a,little bit more girly maybe like a,little pink or maybe a light green,matching set or white even duh,um yeah honestly you could do a lot of,different things with this one to go for,the same Vibe but I thought I'd throw in,an option wear the T-shirt because it's,different and it's very chill okay the,last Halloween costume in this Haul is,honestly another good one and when I put,this one on I actually fell in love with,it more than I expected this is probably,the least unique costume of the haul but,it's still not like the basic costume,that every single girl wears so it is,the Black Swan and this one just turned,out so well I ended up wearing this,black dress that is of course from,Amazon and I actually picked this dress,up for New York Fashion Week if you've,been following me you've probably seen,this already side note on the dress,though I am 5'2 and I just to let the,short ladies know if you do want the,length that I have it in the try on,you're gonna have to cut approximately,four inches off of it because it was,definitely longer than I expected when I,got it I ended up just chopping it and,then kind of using a lighter to seal the,end so it doesn't fry so just a side,note on the length of the dress but I,paired it with a course set I kind of,pulled the sleeves off the shoulders I,got these gloves that just made the look,absolutely completed the look of course,the crown that is very much Black Swan,Vibes and then I also got a pack of,these black feathers and got kind of,like threw them sporadically around the,costume I was gonna put some in the hair,but I really liked the look of just the,crown so if I was gonna wear this one,out I honestly would probably take the,feathers and glue them around like this,skirt or on the corset or something like,hot glue them and just use them a little,bit more but you know for the sake of,the try on I just kind of threw them in,a few areas to give you the vibe and I,would definitely do like the big bold,black dark eye makeup that the Black,Swan was like known for I think this one,just came out way better than I could,have expected and I did just throw on,some little rhinestone heels with this,one so I will try and Link a similar,pair because these are not from Amazon,but you could also do this with ballet,flats if you do have like ballerina,point shoes that would be absolutely,amazing I loved how this one came out,with the makeup and everything too I,just know this one would be like iconic,but those were all of the Halloween,costumes that I all out I ended up coming up,with over like a hundred different,Halloween costume ideas more than I need,so I thought to maybe share them with,you guys and the way that I broke down,this video is that certain,Halloween Trends I feel like for every,season there's always a box office movie,or a TV show that people like to take,inspiration from I feel like for this,season there hasn't been one character,that jumps to the top of my mind that,I'm like oh everyone is gonna dress up,like that but here are some of the,popular movies that have been coming out,in 2022 and what I think people might,gravitate towards so for number one I,noticed that a24 has been like simply,popping off with their Movie game,recently and they just released Pearl,which is a horror movie niagoth who's,the character that plays Pearl in this,movie also plays Maxine in the movie X,that a24 put out earlier this year and,both costumes I've seen started,trickling in on Tick Tock so I think the,people are really gonna like this Maxine,costume is relatively easier you just,have to wear like overalls or jeans and,put blue eyeshadow on with Hoops so it's,super super easy number two is inventing,Anna relatively easy costume number,three anything top gun related I feel,like Top Gun was the movie of The Summer,it was either that or Elvis but I think,Top Gun broke box office records so,anything top gun related or Batman was,kind of a big movie this year as well I,feel like the real star of that movie,was Zoe Kravitz uh I love love that,woman all the fashion looks all her,styling looks were amazing so I feel,like anything or any look that you pull,from this movie of her character would,be great number five lawn blonde just,came out it's the movie with about,Marilyn Monroe I feel like with all of,this hype around Marilyn Monroe Marilyn,Monroe would be honestly a great costume,to be this year a24 also put out,mid-summer with Florence Pew a few years,back and I I feel like that would be,such a fun costume to do for number,seven I feel like a fun costume that,I've seen floating around on Pinterest,is like any sort of Bridgerton inspired,look because fredericton's also super,popular so if you wanted to dress up as,like a Regency gal or like a character,from Bridgerton or even Marie Antoinette,I've seen the Marie Antoinette look and,it's so cute number eight I said that,Jenna Ortega be performing as Wednesday,atoms in a I think a TV show movie but,Wednesday Adams is always a great,Halloween costume to do creative,costumes that I saw last year on some,celebrities was Betty Boop I know nylea,devorah and Chloe Bailey were Betty Boop,and they were so cute Doja cat did such,a good job of doing cerebellum from,Powerpuff Girls I think as well as I,know Doja cat also did Kita from,Atlantis and like absolutely slayed the,look I just did such a good job last,year so I'm so excited to see what,she'll bring this year Jenna rank from,13 going 30 that dress was like super,viral at one point last year or this,year and I think you can find it on Etsy,or like Amazon number 13 Jessica Rabbit,14 Hollywood number 15 Sailor Moon,Sailor Moon is so so cute I want to do,this look so bad number 16 for any,Studio Ghibli fans you can try dressing,up as any character whether it be Kiki,Kiki is such an easy costume like if you,just have a red bow and a black dress I,feel like that you could just be Kiki or,you could be shahiro number seven,Coraline number eight Cruella Deville,number nine Kill Bill I think like the,classic yellow jumpsuit would be pretty,easy as well as some of the characters,from The Kill Bill Universe like go go,from Kill Bill number 11 is Drew,Barrymore from scream all you need is,fake blood that kind of like tan shirt,that she wears in the movie and that,little like blonde bob number 12 is Suki,from Tokyo drift so now I'm going to,move into a lot more easier costumes to,replicate that are definitely more,College friendly so first on the list is,Regina George specifically like her,purple nipple shirt that she wears like,that's just so easy to pull off Violet,from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate,Factory or attorney Chocolate Factory,one or the other next is Jennifer from,Jennifer's Body there's two looks that,you could honestly do for this I think,either you could do the look from the,woods that she has with like the jacket,or you could do obviously like the water,scene when she's in the pool L Woods,from Legally Blonde also there are,multiple looks that you could do with,this she's the cutest you could do like,the bunny look or you could just do like,the all pink look Ariana Grande's,dangerous woman look with the latex I,think I saw my freshman year of college,someone doing this look and I thought it,was one of the most creative things I've,seen like a classic easy Halloween,costume is the Playboy Bunny next is,like all of the sort of like,Supernatural ones like fairy mermaid,costume costumes empire costumes any,sort of witch next is the space girl,look I've seen people do this a few,times in college because I feel like,it's kind of really just easy as long as,you have glitter next is Austin Powers,fembaugh Nia Wallace all you need is,like a black pair of pants some Flats a,white shirt some fake blood a Black Bob,and Bam you kind of have the look in,like seconds number 26 is Pitbull I feel,like that's kind of a funny one but I,like I've seen like one of my old,roommates dressed up as Pitbull a few,years back and I thought that was like,the funniest thing ever 27 is Wonder,Woman 28 The Joker 29 and the Stone from,Easy A all you need is a black corset,from Amazon I have this exact corset in,a different color and it works amazing I,love this corset and you just get some,red paint a on like one of the one side,and black leggings flats or heels and,you're done number 30 is Britney Spears,and I mean like you could do multiple,looks in Britney Spears there's first,obviously the classic oops I Did It,Again like the all red and like the ice,blue like eye shadow,I love it number 31 going on the blonde,Trend let's do Hannah Montana like,Hannah Montana is such a fun look 32 is,Cupid as long as you have like a bow and,arrow and I feel like you could just,like draw little hearts on your face and,like a really creative way and Bam you,have Cupid and it's super cute 33 is,Romeo and Juliet's angel look the Claire,Danes version 39 is any sort of Greek,goddess 40 is Medusa 41 is flapper like,a 1920s flapper girl 42 Audrey Hepburn,again you could do multiple looks with,Audrey Hepburn but I was thinking move,away from best friend duo costumes to,couple costumes I honestly think that,because of how explosive the Elvis movie,was over the summer a great couple,costume obviously would be Elvis and,Priscilla Presley there's also Jim and,Pam from The Office I know that like,Olivia Rodrigo did the character from,Scarface and it is a couple's costume so,definitely like you can try that A,Cinderella Story there's the three blind,mice I actually did this look my senior,year of high school and yeah it honestly,was pretty easy so it's very College,friendly it's very like high school,friendly even there's Monica Rachel and,Phoebe from Friends there's Alvin and,the Chipmunks all right to wrap up the,video we're going to end with some group,costumes the number one is Tinkerbell,and the Pixie Hollow friends I feel like,this is an adorable look I've always,wanted to be Silvermist if I was going,to do this in a group number two is,Sailor Moon and these sailor Scouts this,is a mix of different genders but you,can be Total Drama Island characters,there's also the Bridgerton family or,Bridgeton girls there's also the cast of,Willy Wonka or Charlie and the Chocolate,Factory there's also the Incredibles I,feel like this is super low maintenance,as well there's the Winx Club this is so,cute so so freaking cute I said this so,many times before like Avatar Airbender,is a squad you could do like different,characters Harry Potter students slash,Wizards you could also do Disney,Princesses I think Kylie Jenner and her,like Squad of girls I will say this they,they really do such a good job on,Halloween there's the Scooby-Doo and the,gang there's also these Spice Girls,there's the Cheetah Girls there's also,the Strawberry Shortcake and like her,little character friends there's also,Power Rangers Pink Ladies iCarly one,person could be Neville like why not,like Neville with Loki such a fun,character there's the Kardashians,Simpsons squid game if you grew up,watching LazyTown you could do like,Sportacus and Stephanie there's also,Marvel characters obviously you can,dress up as like different superheroes,as well if you're a group of four you,can do the Heathers I did that one year,and that was really easy to do from what,I remember the only thing that I had to,to buy when creating that outfit was the,croquette balance because I just don't,have that lying around like there's also,if you're a Star Wars fan do you like a,Star Wars group do the peanuts Teen,Titans minions and groom there's the,cast of stranger things casts of Game of,Thrones the 90s supermodels you can do,like a little 90s supermodel look,there's also the cast of like The Purge,I feel like there's two looks you could,do with the purge the masks that are,just like oh my God so easy and there's,also like the fluorescent light one the,other low maintenance one to do is the,Teletubbies and last but not least also,the cast of Friends that is all of my,costume ideas I HALLOWEEN COSTUME IDEAS 2022 | Upgrading Old, Basic Costumes

foreign,hey everyone I'm emerald and welcome to,my channel So today we're going to be,doing a Halloween costume idea video but,it's a little different because I'm,going to be taking old Halloween,costumes like the basic ones you get at,the store like the basic witch fortune,teller the red right you know like those,basic Halloween costumes that you buy,and I'm going to be upgrading them,because they're so like costumey and,cheap looking and I think they would be,so much cooler if they were given a,little upgrade,so,all right,so the First costume is your basic,witch,so I've got this,witch hat this is one of those just,basic cheap witch Halloween costumes,that you get at the store it's like that,cheap velvet material so we're just,going to be giving this little witch,look a upgrade so let's switch so here,is the dress,the Hat,next,I'm gonna add this corset to the my,waist to like cinch the waist,all right so already,so much,cuter just with adding a corset,even though I already think this is so,just cute we need to accessorize,all right,so I have this like,harness,let's put this,foreign,so this is my little witch coven look,all right so everything I added this was,the basic costume dress basic costume,hat,I added this corset from Amazon I added,this little thrift store like sparkly,um,scarf,thigh highs boots,I got this super cute purse look at this,this is a purse book of spells,it's literally just a purse I got this,at Spirit Halloween so I went to my,local Spirit Halloween,and I saw this and I was like oh my God,it's so cute you can take this strap off,so you can hold it like a clutch or just,like a you know looks like a little book,but this is with the strap on,so or you could just take the strap off,spell book so this is super cute,my I'm thinking like coven you know like,and then this is my,wand,so I make,daggers and Wands and these are on sale,on my Etsy shop and I just made this,little like Halloween collection which,is full of purples and oranges and,blacks and just really cool,mystical looks check out my Etsy shop,I'm gonna link it down in the,description and the shop is called,Emerald Elvin,I thought this really completed the look,every which means,a wand,all right,next look so this is like a fortune,teller outfit,one of those basic ones from the,Halloween store and it's just so cost to,me right let's do,a fortune teller look upgrade I'm not,even gonna use this dress at all,obviously like I can't like,no no no no,so my idea,was to keep like the purple look so I,have,um,this dress that I got another Amazon,find I always get suggested things on,Amazon like,this was a suggestion I was like yes,it's like a little peasant dress I think,this was 30 on Amazon,I really love it so I think that this ah,oops so I'm gonna use like you know the,little peasants top inspiration for this,dress and turn it into something like,this so let's try,all right so here is my fortune teller,revamp original,upgrade,the only thing I kept of the original,costume was the little I think this was,for the head on the costume too so this,little headband,I used the um,the thrift store these are both from the,thrift store these scarves,I wanted to keep the purple look I,wanted to keep the purple and gold,because that's so I'm wearing like a,bunch of gold jewelry,gold earrings,this um corset thing it has like straps,it's like a underbust type of corset,oh,I just did my hair really quick because,I think this look would be cute with,like a headscarf,so if it doesn't look good it's because,I did it in like two minutes,so this is a costume that I wore a,couple years ago,it is,you see Little Red Riding Hood,so this costume already came with some,pretty,cool stuff it came with this,velvet,um skirt I'll just show you everything,it came with and then like how I'm gonna,restyle it,and then it came with this cape and I,really like this cape because it's got,this cool embroider it feels cheap by,the way it makes it look like a little,bit fancier than like a really cheap,Cape even though it is preaching,and then it came with,this shirt which is supposed to be you,know like a peasant top like for,underneath like this I'm like oh my gosh,what are you trying to make me like a,prisoner peasant not cute so we upgraded,I got this shirt literally years ago,that is so ugly I'm sorry it is so this,is gonna be my under shirt instead and,then it came with like this,which is supposed to be you know like,the corset,it's like but it's really cheap it's not,very corsety so we're not going to use,this either,a really bad material so it doesn't get,tight it's also like too big for my body,to make it look like a cute like corset,so I can't use this I also have a Twist,to this look and I think this is what,I'm gonna be this year,so it's a little twist it's a Little Red,Riding Hood and I will show you in one,thank you,Okay so,this is a Little Red Riding Hood but I'm,more into like Twisted fairy tales,so,foreign,I got this necklace like years ago how,cool is that,to me it represents me my two dogs Ryder,and his,all right so that was all of my,um old Halloween costumes that I was,revamping and now I'm just going to show,a few,um costumes that I think would be super,cute to do so let's go,so this is my dark Fey,Halloween costume,I love these Wings these are a heart,it's like a harness ring and look how,beautiful like just look at that,every Fae needs a magical handmade,dagger,so these are the daggers I make that are,on my Etsy which are super great for,Halloween costumes or cosplay costumes,I love this dress it's so shiny it,matches the wings,because the wings are like,wings like purpley shiny,so this is the dark Fey look,but now we need a forest fairy look,okay from dark Fade to forest fairy,this is like one of my favorite dresses,ever,and switch the purple little wraps out,to these cool like Leaf ones I love them,I think it looks so Fairy like and I,made these wings like last year I have a,video like a DIY video and how I made,them,they got a little beat up because,they've just been like sitting in my,room as decoration so they're a little,beat up,I forgot to put my ears on in my last,one so my last berry look so I have my,little fairy ears elf ears on,once again every fairy needs,a beautiful dagger to protect themselves,I love the thigh highs because you My DIY Vampire Costume!

oh my goodness what is up you guys it's,amber welcome back to my channel,welcome to my favorite time of year,spooky season,y'all know i freaking love halloween i,love dressing up i love,costumes i love it all so today is the,first day of my 13 days of halloween,where i'm going to do a costume video,every other day so today we are kicking,off the series with a diy vampire,costume so,without further ado here we go bippity,boppity spook,hello baby did you want to join the,video hi muffin man,okay sorry,this is my outfit of the day trash no,okay so um we're just gonna go ahead and,get started um,yeah vampire here we go so here you can,see this is what we got for this costume,i got literally all of this on amazon,linked below um if you guys want to shop,and twin with me so,um here's what we got i will explain,okay first thing you need is this is a,black lacy corset um i got one count,them two of these obviously you can get,any course that you want but make sure,you grab two of them i will explain in a,minute second i got again since the,theme is black lace i got some black,lace thigh high tights uh they look,really stupid just laying here but these,are actually cool you can see they're,like lace all the way down so super fun,i got a little black lacy skirt i didn't,take the tag off yet oops but i got this,on amazon too some black lacy fingerless,gloves um so i got those mostly,fingerless so i can like still take,pictures but again any kind of gloves,you want this is a black lace cape,because that's just cool um i think,vampires should have capes i just wanted,to do something extra fun like omg the,glamour of this we love it so uh we got,that,black bra and uh black thong which i'm,actually already wearing so i'm not,gonna show you that for now but um to,complete the look we got some black,stiletto nails and some fangs um so i,will do that when i actually get ready,but this is all you need for the base of,the costume by the way yes all of my,costumes are always sexy i dress sexy,all year long but this is the one time,of year where it's like everyone else,does too but uh that's just how i like,to live my life you know i'm 28. i can,only get away with this for another 150,years till i die but um you can do this,like conservatively too super easy just,swap out the lingerie for a little dress,or pants on the top you know to keep it,classy,not that lingerie isn't classy it's just,you know if you're going to a costume,party with your boss,and your boss is like not your sugar,daddy then,maybe you want to wear pants i don't,know so anywho's in um let's get dressed,or i guess,undressed,this corset that i got is actually an,underbust corset which means it doesn't,have like a space for your boobs which,is why i have um the bra to go over it,but you can go ahead and put that on and,you can see it does not connect to my,bra um but when i kind of settle that in,place then you can kind of see it does,kind of look like it goes together so,woohoo went ahead and threw on the,tights you can see um these are just all,lace attach the garter if that's what,you're into i went ahead and thrown a,little lace skirt oh my goodness oh it,looks like i'm playing my heart,you can see these gloves these are like,i said fingerless gloves are better,because you know regular gloves look,cool but if you're trying to take a,picture or like literally live your life,um the fingers being covered drives me,crazy so we got these lala,coordinating with our feet,yes,put on the cape and of course we're,already starting to look very creepy,i don't usually do creepy costumes i,usually do like girly frilly frou-frou,costumes so shout out to my sister for,this idea um she said i should do an,evil vampire so um anyways okay so to,make the cape extra glam we're going to,take the second corset that we had um go,ahead and remove the garters that are,attached to it so it's just plain like,this,i'm going to try and turn this ooh i,just hit myself in the face okay i'm,going to try and turn this into like one,of those,um you know fancy neck,things,not sure how i'm going to get this to,stay like that,so we're gonna have to do some,experimenting hold on probably should,have planned this before i started,filming,but you know that's not how i roll um,okay,anyways one sec,so i'm actually just gonna go ahead and,take safety pins and safety pin it to my,bra um there's probably a better way to,do this i don't know what it is even,though i know this is a diy channel that,i'm supposed to be teaching you guys but,hey if someone comes up with a better,idea let me know in the comments and uh,yeah anyways i'm just gonna do that,we're just gonna take the corset like,this behind our heads and now take these,two pieces and i'm just gonna safety pin,it to my bra and pin it there and there,ta-da,gotta give me points for creativity,okay that was actually high key genius,though,fabulous so now it looks like it's part,of the cape,that was iconic of me,by the way again for the non-sexy,versions you could do the same,accessories and just put on a dress um,ta-da see you know,appropriate er,i'm actually way too lazy to take off,this whole outfit and put this jumpsuit,on but you know imagine this was on,properly,um but you know that would also be like,another way you could do it and still be,fully covered but still fire so,um anyways let's get to the fun part,okay i took off the cape and stuff,because i'm like starting to get sweaty,but now we're gonna do the actual,vampire makeover so that includes fangs,makeup hair,again i didn't really research this,before so let's check pinterest,all right we're looking for pretty,vampire makeup,i think something kind of like that i do,not like blood and gore i'm thinking,more something like this like pretty oh,i love this,okay,let's try and do that,how do i do that i do not know but,that's okay,here we go,alrighty before,god i need to like watch a youtube,tutorial for this that's hilarious okay,here goes nothing shout out to fenty,beauty thanks for putting me on your pr,list,let's use this,red color,okay,okay so i would hardly call that,impressive in fact i think i look worse,but that's okay we're gonna see if maybe,the contacts i got will help so oh my,god that's like actually legit scary we,also have these,white ones honestly i think these scare,me more yeah i think we're gonna go with,red because it's,less horrifying this is gonna give me,nightmares,eh,eh let me know in the comments below,even though i've already posted this,okay oh honestly maybe red eyes are kind,of hot why all of my videos but you know if,you put a side part on it and tease it,up and curl the edges eventually it'll,kind of look like this um you know old,hollywood kind of fabulosity there,all right let's do our lipstick shall we,this is so weird that's a red lip liner,from the drugstore um super cheap it was,like two dollars so when i had lined my,lips with that all nice and a deep kind,of purpley then went ahead and used star,woman nars this one my uh red lipstick,olympics many moons ago and it stays,being the freaking best ever and you can,see it kind of looks like this oh my god,frightening,oh my god,got some black nail tips for a little,extra evil energy la la yeah i'm just,gonna go ahead and glue those on top of,my current nails because whatever,oh my god i don't know what kind of luck,this is do you guys see that,this is a ladybug,that somehow got in my room,hello,i'll just let him stay there for a,minute very vampire elvira yes yes,that's insane,okay we'll let him free i just so happen,to have these shoes so i'm gonna bust,out my best bloody lacy louboutins for,this look,with the lace boots and the lace tights,it almost looks like it's just all one,like giant lace thing so that's pretty,cool,perfect for vampire bloody shoes,you scared of me,no you're always scared of me,okay,are you ready,all right my darlings are you ready,oh my god this is terrifying,you can see it came out so cute again um,this is just like a fun little twist on,a what would otherwise be a basic,costume you know anyone can be a vampire,but not anyone can make it like this,if victoria's secret supermodels were,ever vampires i think this is what,they'd wear i do not match my room at,all,just a princess doing princess things,the nails are so fun the teeth are so,fun wow i love being so pointy,is it weird to wear these every day,i love it,i love this too much,we look like if twilight was a weird,porno,medward team jacob team me,how crazy would it be if i went to How to Make Olivia Rodrigo's "good 4 u" Outfit + FREE PATTERNS // DIY Halloween Costume

hey everyone welcome back to my channel,if you are new here welcome my name is,kiana and i do a lot of sewing and,fashion videos and today we're going to,be making,the olivia rodrigo good for you outfit,so iconic this has been so highly,requested and i'm all for it because i'm,obsessed with olivia and i loved her,outfit and she's half filipino and i,am half filipino also another big factor,for recreating her look is the fact that,i made these a couple of weeks ago these,are my gigi hadid gloves leather gloves,i made from her met gala look,when i recreated that so yeah i already,have this so i don't need to make that,but don't worry if you don't know how to,make these i'll probably go over it,again and i'll also link that other,video somewhere down below when on top,of the screen but i got this glove,pattern as a free pattern that i found,on the internet so i will also link that,down below so the exact look we're going,to be recreating is from the end of her,good for you music video where she's,like screaming in front of the burning,building and she's in like the white,corset and the blue plaid squirts i,think it's a score it looks like a skirt,but it has like a little flap in the,front so,we're gonna do that i'm so excited so,let's go to joann fabrics for a little,shopping spree okay,i'm back went to joann's also thank you,to joanne because they sent me a gift,card a few weeks ago and i used it to,fund my costume material expenses for,this look so for the blue plaid i found,this fabric which obviously like it's,hard to find the exact same plaid fabric,it's hard to find exact replicas but i,thought this was pretty darn good the,other one it has a little bit more of,this darker blue in it but i thought,that it worked pretty well also it's,like a very thin fabric this is rayon,and that looks like to be about the same,weight as her squirt so happy with this,also though i already had this fabric,that i'm gonna use for the top this is,like,a double knit i think i i'm not exactly,sure i got this from fabric.com i'll,link everything down below that i'm,showing you right now but i'm gonna use,this for the outside of the set and then,from joann's i got this knit fabric as,well for the inside of the corset i also,bought,three of these feather light boning i,also got some interfacing i got a 12 to,14 inch invisible zipper for the skirt,and then i just bought some more white,thread all right so what should we start,with first the top or the skirt i think,we start with the hardest thing first,let's start with the top and then we'll,whip out the skirt let's go to make the,top i just grabbed a bodice block and,used the slash and spread method to move,the dart around i made it honestly,unnecessarily complicated but that's why,i'm giving you this free pattern anyways,so that you don't have to go through,this whole ordeal i'm also just using,stretch fabric so it doesn't really need,to fit super well okay it is the next,morning and i think i have the patterns,here so you already saw me kind of doing,the top here's my top pattern,i am using stretchy fabric so,it's,should be pretty easy um i am also going,to give you guys this pattern for free,at first i wasn't because i was like oh,they don't want this pattern it's just a,quickly drafted crappy pattern but then,i realized i mean something is better,than nothing so i'm going to give you,guys this pattern for free it's linked,down below,download it use it yourself the only,thing is i'm just like giving you this,like unmarked pattern that has no seam,allowance on it it's made exactly to fit,me or it will be by the end of this,video um so you'll have to like grade it,to your sizing but yeah so i'm going to,go ahead and make a prototype out of,some scrap fabric for this top um,another thing is i am raising the,waistline of everything as you can see,here for this top,it,is not very long like olivia's is long,and her skirt is more low waisted,i am super not into,wearing things that hit right at the,squishy point of my stomach,so i'm making everything more,high-waisted i'm raising the waistline,at the top i'm raising the waistline of,the skirt because,low waisted is not,for me,no no no no no no and i also think the,general consensus for most people is,that we like high-waisted things better,so hopefully this works for you all,right let me prototype and i'll be right,back yo this is my second prototype,and i just kind of got a pretty cute,freaking shirt out of this prototype um,i cut the front panel in two and made a,seam down the center because i didn't,have enough fabric to do the prototype,but look at this,this is freaking cute if you don't want,to make the corset make this top it's,cute the only thing is so like it's,stretchy so it's easy to put on and off,over my head,um but hers with the boning that's gonna,be hard to like slip on over the head so,it's gonna need a closure for sure,so i think i'll just do a lace-up,closure in the back i won't cut the back,on the fold and i'll just lace it up,yeah i'm excited about my new shirt i'm,gonna keep on wearing it and,so we're ready to make the corset top,let's get into the tutorial okay i'm,just cutting out my pattern and the,pattern file that you get online it does,not have seam allowance so as you can,see i cut it out with seam allowance on,the side and at the neckline i didn't,add any seam allowance at the arms eye,or at the waistline because i'm going to,be using binding there to finish it but,i do need seam allowance at the side and,the neckline so just cut it out i cut,the front on the fold and i cut the back,out not on the fold also this is going,to be lined so cut your shell out and,also cut your lining out i'm using a,slightly thinner slightly less expensive,lining you can self line it but i don't,want it to be too bulky working with the,shell fabric i'm going to attach it at,the side seams and also at the strap and,i'm also going to repeat that for the,lining then i'm going to take my lining,and shell place them right sides,together and sew around the entire outer,edge except for at the waistline and at,the arm's eye so up the center back and,then around the entire neckline clip,your corners turn it right side out and,give it a good press and then we're,ready to top stitch i'm going to top,stitch exactly where i just sewed but,when i'm top stitching up the center,back area i'm going to make sure i'm,leaving enough room to insert my boning,so my bonnie's like a quarter inch wide,so i'm gonna like sew like a little bit,more than a quarter inch like three,eighths of an inch away from the center,back seam so that the bony can get,inserted into it now i'm marking where i,want my boning channels to be on the,front to make this easier i picked first,where it would be on the pattern piece,and then i'm just transferring this over,to my garment using disappearing ink to,make those bony channels i'm going to,stitch through both layers of fabric and,i'm just going to use those lines i,created as a guide and i'm going to,stitch on either side of that i'm going,to make the channel big enough so that,my boning of course can slip into it my,favorite part of any project actually,inserting the boning oh my goodness i,love doing this it is so satisfying it,just fits in perfectly and it makes the,garment look so much nicer oh my gosh,just enjoy enjoy,also don't forget to add the boning at,the center back seams,also you're going to want to clip your,boning so that there's about a half inch,of space at the bottom because when you,sew the binding on you can't sew through,the plastic so just make sure there's,enough space,also almost forgot to add some,interfacing to that center back area you,need to do this so that your eyelets,don't pop out and are stable after you,put them in so i'm just cutting like an,inch wide of interfacing and pressing,that into the center back seam,for the binding i'm using the shell,fabric as well um you could use regular,bias tape if you want but i just wanted,it to be the same and blend really well,and i'm just gonna sew binding onto the,waistline and also at the arms eye,lastly for the top we're going to add,our closure i'm using eyelets i'm using,i believe these are the quarter inch,eyelets um but yes i'm using silver ones,and i found out my pliers did not work,with this fabric because it was stretchy,so that was unfortunate so i had to cut,out all the holes but my pliers did,actually work for the actual like,inserting of the eyelets so thank,goodness then you just gotta lace it up,with whatever type of string or ribbon,you want and then your top is done,okay you guys so here is the top,have not tried it on yet,it looks super cute again i made it,cropped instead of long but,oh it looks so flipping cute but i'm not,gonna try it on until i have the entire,outfit completed next though we're gonna,tackle the skort for this i will be,using my squirt pattern that i will also,link down below and i'm just going to be,altering it a little bit definitely it,would totally be like almost the same if,you didn't alter the squirt pattern,whatsoever so if you're feeling like,that's way too much work to alter a,pattern that i'm already purchasing,don't do that but i'm going to show you,how i'm going to alter it,otherwise if you're not interested just,follow the squirt pattern so,let's go,time to tackle squirt so here is my,actual squirt pattern i am getting rid,of this front skirt piece and i'm just,going to use the skirt or the shorts,base,and then i'm going to make a new like,skirt part so for the back skirts um,here's my little pattern i made this,pattern that i made also doesn't have,seam allowance but my real pattern does,have seam allowance so that's why,they're two different sizes basically i,just cut off that little crotch,extension,and that was how i made this or this the,skirt back yeah the skirt back um so,super simple i also made it a little bit,longer so that it would be longer than,the shorts so you wouldn't see them for,the front skirt part instead of doing,the one panel like in the original,pattern i actually made two panels that,kind of like overlap at the top um,basically i did the same thing as the,back i just,made the shorts into a skirt and took,off the crotch part and made it longer,and then i made it into two pieces okay,now time to cut everything out if you,look at olivia's squirt though you can,see that her plaid is actually going,diagonally where mine is actually just,going straight up and down so,for this i'm going to cut out the shorts,and the facing regularly but when i get,to the skirt part the part that is,showing i'm going to cut it on the bias,which is going to make things a little,bit tricky for us because it's going to,want to stretch more as we sew it would,be easier if i had found one that,was going diagonally and that i didn't,need to make go on the bias but you got,to work with what you've got so i'm just,cutting all of the skirt pieces out on,the bias also i'm adding my seam,allowance i'm using half an inch where,any of my seams are and then wherever,i'm going to be hemming i'm adding an,entire inch now onto sewing i like to,start off by sewing my darts so i'm,sewing my darts on the skirt and i'm,sewing my darts on the pants then i'm,going to sew and serge the crotch seams,then i'm going to attach the skirt,pieces together at the side seams and,i'm also going to hem the skirt all the,way around and up like the little two,unattached pieces like where they where,they overlap you know what i mean so i,just hem that then i'm also going to hem,part of the waistline of the skirt i'm,going to hem the front flap the larger,one so this entire part all the way past,the side seam but not all the way to the,dart so from the edge to almost the dart,i'm going to turn and stitch it using my,half inch seam allowance also sewing my,facing together at the side seam and,sewing my pants together at the side and,seam but in one of the side seams i'm,adding an invisible zipper also really,important the zipper needs to be on the,side of the score that the front long,flap is on i also sewed the inseam,together already you can see right here,and then lastly for this part of the,shorts i'm just going to hem them now,time to put the shorts facing and skirt,all together so i'm starting at the,front lining up at the side seam at that,short front flap i'm also going to pin,all the way around the back but i'm,leaving out the large front flap also,i'm putting the facing right sides,together on everything so this is what,we have let's just look at it you can,see that the front flap the short one is,attached here's the back and then you,can see that i've actually pulled out,that front long flap away from the,waistline seam so it's not going to get,caught in that waistline seam so i,pulled out everything that we already,previously hemmed up there,this way this can fold over and attach,with a button see here's my little,button and it's going to fold over and,attach and this is also going to cover,the invisible zipper and since you're,able to unbutton it you can use a zipper,on that side seam to take it off and on,i know the squirt tutorial was kind of a,whirlwind but like i said i already have,this pattern and tutorial out which is,very detailed so i'll link that down,below and on the top of the screen but,this is just kind of how i adjusted that,pattern okay last but not least is her,gloves i actually already made these,gloves for my gigi hadid dress that i,made from her 2021 gala look i'll insert,a picture over here,was a fun look to recreate but it's,basically the exact same gloves that,olivia has on leather black opera length,i think that's what it's called upper,length and i actually found a pattern,for these for free,online so i'm going to link the blog,post where the free pattern is linked,because i don't want to just,take someone's pattern and link the,pattern without linking the original,person's blog post so i will link that,down below for reference there's only in,like one size um it doesn't it doesn't,say what size it is i don't think i am,usually a size large in gloves so,i made the pattern without altering it,at all and it fit me,perfectly but let me also insert some,old clips of me sewing these so that you,can kind of see me doing that again if,you already saw me sewing these then,skip on ahead so here's one pattern and,then one glove done looks very,interesting the pattern but,not a lot of steps you sew the thumb,together you sew the thumb onto the,glove then there are all these little,gussets that you have to add to you know,give your fingers some space and then,you sew that on and then lastly you just,turn the glove in half and sew it,together,and then also you gotta hem it but,very little steps it's just tedious,because the seams are so like sharp and,small but yeah that's all you gotta I Made a PUMPKIN QUEEN Halloween Costume in 4 Days | Fantasy Couture Corset Gown Sewing Vlog

hello my beautiful creatures,i am daisy victoria and i like to design,fantasy clothing,and costumes today we're going to make a,pumpkin spice dress,or at least we're going to get started,on it it's rather late in the day,because i actually did a lot more other,work today first,and we are definitely not going to,finish it today but we will start it,this evening i decided to do this dress,because i didn't really have like,a themed halloween halloween costume,this year,i did do like an 1890s frozen costume,with some fall leaves and that was,pretty cool like kind of fall themed you,know because gale is like fall colored,leaves,i did do the historical halloween collab,challenge,but i didn't pick like a costume that,was like halloween festive,and i was kind of missing out because i,actually really like to do that kind of,thing,so i am making this dress right before,halloween,which means you guys aren't going to see,the video till after halloween,but it's fine we'll all live,i designed this dress inspired by,pumpkins and i thought,oh maybe it can be a pumpkin spice latte,and it's a lot of like victorian,kind of almost steampunk influence i,really like the whole like corset look,and the skirt,i really like this longer in the back,and shorter in the front look,and i like this kind of puffed sleeve,shrug idea,in a pumpkin hat and i actually found a,pumpkin i'm going to use for that i'll,show you,so i got this striped orange fabric,and this is the fabric i'm using to line,it,it actually was a little bit brighter,but i dyed it,darker using some brown dye and,this which was uh mostly cotton it's a,cotton poly blend,took the dye rather well this one didn't,take it,very well at all which is why it's now,brighter but that's fine because i don't,mind the lining being,a little bit darker i also got a pumpkin,to use,in the hat and i'm very excited about,that actually it's like a sparkle,pumpkin,i love it so i am using horse hair braid,in the skirt and let me actually catch,you up to where i'm at,so i cut out the skirt using a standard,pattern that i always use and it's,extremely large,there's so much fabric here but this is,the,outer layer and this is the lining and,what i've done is i've already sewn,the vertical seams together so,now i actually have to put them together,into like one piece,i'm going to use the horsehair braid,around the hem,because that will make it stand out and,be really nice and,billowy and then i'll attach the,waistband and decorate it after that,so what i'm gonna do now is i'm gonna,try something that i haven't tried,ever before um so i have actually,started using horse hair,recently which is sad to say i've been,sewing like,most all my life and i didn't use horse,hair before,like a couple years ago and it's,basically changed my entire life,so usually when i attach horse hair i,attach it to,basically so it's on the back side of,the skirt and this time,i'm going to attach it so that it's,sandwiched between the layers,of you know the outer fabric and the,lining,so i looked up a little bit of,information online just to kind of see,what that,looks like usually when i try to learn,something new,i just kind of look at some finished,garments and,see like how i think they went together,and tried to see what i can come up with,um as opposed to,following a specific set of directions,i'm that sort of renegade experimental,sewer and it's gotten me quite far so,actually,yeah it pays off to be a renegade,experimental sewer,so basically i've been just like sitting,here,messing with this and trying to see like,how it's going to work out to attach,this horse hair,and then have it such that you know it's,in between,and i want the seams to be sewn only,onto the lining and not the outer fabric,at all,so what i'm going to do is i'm actually,going to sew them together so that,they're,you know stitched like that's the bottom,edge and then,after i stitch them together then i'm,going to sew,the horse hair just onto the inner,side of the lining and then i'm going to,continue with the skirt and we're going,to see how that goes,i actually think that it's going to go,quite well,because it makes physical sense and,after all sewing is actually,physics you know it's all math and,science that's what runs the world,all right let's try this out,all right i have now sewn in the horse,hair,into the hem of the skirt,so it's looking really good it's very,clean,on the front side and then it's got the,seams,on the lining only,so i did take pictures along the way,which i'll put up on patreon so you guys,can see,in more detail kind of what all i did,basically the horse hair is just,stitched onto the lining,and works out quite well and i've got,some trims that i'm going to add to the,skirt i'm thinking,what i'm going to do is actually just,kind of set this aside,and start working on the shrug jacket,and the core set so i can start putting,things together,before i add the trims because i want to,be a little creative,about the placement of them like on the,outfit as a whole,and i need to do that before i actually,finish off the waistband and everything,on the skirt because i want to be able,to sew it just to the,outer layer so what i'm going to do is,start getting creative with,design work after i you know go through,the initial construction of the other,pieces of this gown,i've now cut out the shrug jacket,portion of the project i have very,wide and tall sleeves because they're,going to be puffy,and this is all going to be lined it's,kind of a thin lining but,it's a little something to just make it,more substantial and then,this is the body pieces and the collar,and cuffs,up here so i'm going to sew that,together,and create the base of the shrug jacket,the skirt,is sewn here and i need to make a,decision on what trim,i'm going to put around the bottom here,i may use a black i may use an off-white,i actually really like the black so i,don't,have enough of this trim i would have to,get new trim,but i like the way the black looks in,contrast on the other hand if i do want,to,actually embody this whole pumpkin spice,latte thing,then the white is probably a good idea,because that's like the froth on the,latte stick around to see which one i,choose,will i choose the white or will i choose,the black,remains to be seen friends,all right it's the next day and we are,back to work,i actually did sew the shrug off camera,so i'm going to show you,what that jacket looks like now ta-da so,this sewing is pretty,uh simple i guess in my opinion it's,just sewing together a pattern,that i've used many times and that's why,it's simple for me so,i'm going to instead focus on kind of,what the interesting,aspects are and the design and,embellishment work,for this video and i'll update you on,what else i did too,so this is the jacket it's got,a little clasp here to hook the front,and there's a little bit of overlap,there so that you don't get,gapping i don't know if i can do it,one-handed,oh i did score so the sleeves are quite,puffy and i did actually make them,puffier than the,pattern i used the pattern is one that i,drafted myself as well i've used it over,the years,and okay for the sleeves so i have,really puny arms i'm a tiny person,and my arms are tiny as well as the rest,of me but i want this to be able to fit,multiple people,so that way i can use it for photo,shoots and stuff like that in the future,so what i did was instead of,attaching the arm cuffs entirely,i put a buttonhole on each side and then,i can thread a,ribbon through and tie it so that way if,someone is as small as me it can go all,the way closed if they're not,it doesn't matter it'll still fit them,within you know a certain range this,will fit many people,and i think that's super cool and that's,something that's important to think,about when you are,a specific size and you want to maybe,share,your costumes with other people i,actually brought out a dress form here,normally my dress forms are in the other,room,and i just kind of work at the kitchen,table here for now,but the dress form is also here today so,we can actually put the shrug jacket on,the dress form,or bolero jacket shrug jacket whichever,you want to call it,and we can kind of see how it looks i,like it quite a lot i think it's really,cute,and it really has that kind of late,victorian feel with the puffed sleeves,and everything,i think it's really cool update on the,trim,situation i did in fact decide to do,black,trim so just to kind of get an idea,that's kind of what it looks like,against the orange i think it really,pops very well,i did have a little trouble deciding,between the black and the orange but,in the end i really thought the orange,looked,really good with the black and,especially i kind of brought a mirror,out and looked at it,next to me to see like what it looks,like with skin,rather than a mannequin like cloth,covering,and i really was just feeling the black,so it's going to be black it's going to,be very halloweeny and,i like it so also now that we are,looking at a mannequin,or dress form you can actually see the,skirt,so it's shorter in the front and then,longer in the back,and i will be applying trim to the hem,of that,and now we come to a very interesting,part of this project,so because i decided to do this kind of,last minute and it's,sort of a challenge for me can i make a,halloween costume the week of halloween,while also filming it because if i don't,film it i know i can do it,but if i film it i'm like stopping,setting up shots,and you know also i'm taking pictures,for patreon so like,lots of stuff going on beyond just the,sewing and it's working but in order to,do that i had to use trims that i had on,hand,or that i could obtain immediately so,nothing that i had to order online,with the exception of amazon prime but i,looked there and didn't find any,better deals than what i had at my local,store,so this trim i'll show you,why this is a little crazy and actually,finish up,the job so there's like a lot of this,trim right,lots and lots of it you can see a whole,pile this actually comes,as a sort of a double-sided trim,and i am cutting it apart so i've cut,apart,um actually i bought five yards of it so,that will give me 10 yards of,you know the individual side so i'm,taking 10 yards of this,trim and cutting it all apart and i'm,right here at the end i already did a,lot of it i was actually,sitting on the floor and i just kind of,knocked it all out,i'm going to finish doing this end so,you guys can see how i'm cutting it,apart,and if you ever use like any lace,fabric and make trim out of that it's,quite similar,so you know you can be as precise as you,want cutting it out,depending on what your project needs,from you,and if you need more precision later you,can always go back,and make it more precise i am just,cutting cutting cutting,so that's one side now totally free and,then,once i cut one side off the other side,you can see still has some of this mesh,around it because of the way the lace,was made,so i just go in and cut that off from,the other side,so here is the skirt and it's going to,go,along the edge of the skirt like that,i'm also going to use it on the corset,which i haven't made yet you'll notice,yeah i got a lot of work to do in a,little amount of time here no big deal,here is the start of the core set so,this is just,the center front panels i'm going to sew,together so,i'm going to go ahead and sew the corset,panels together,and that's going to be my main task for,today,there comes a time in corset making when,things get a little bit monotonous so,you're just sewing like a lot of panels,together and,eventually it's like i need a break and,that's about where i am,at right now i've got a bunch of the,panels sewn and a bunch of,the boning channels also sewn in here,and,yeah i'm excited excited it's gonna go,on here as well but right now it's break,time,so i'm actually going to get some lunch,here's a little secret,when you are getting to the point where,you're kind of bored,and you're not really like working as,quickly you can still push through,to get through it but like i find that,usually if i,just take a break for a little bit and,then come back,i work a lot faster and it's more,efficient in the end,and sometimes i need to take a break,anyway like i do need to eat lunch,so i am gonna do that for the sake of,efficiency,and then i'm gonna finish my core set,so right here we have the whole body of,the corset,it is an orange striped corset,so at this point i'm just going to,finish up the core set i need to put,bias binding on the edges,and actually insert the boning do the,grommets and i'm going to put a modesty,panel on the back,which is basically a piece of fabric,that covers the opening between where,the grommets go,so that way it'll still look like a,solid,garment going across there and then it's,time for embellishments because that's,really,where this costume is going to shine,literally because i'm going to attach,rhinestones,i've got black grommets along the edge,because i'm going to be using a lot of,black,it's actually lined in black too so i've,put the bias binding on the top and,the bottom edges of the corset and then,there's lots of boning in here mostly,spiral steels,and then flat steels at the back here,surrounding the grommets,and you can put two grommets closer,together in,the center of the corset where you have,the little bunny ears that you tie,you don't have to do that i've done,plenty of them where they're all,equally spaced i just thought i'd do,that on this one,so now i need to add trim so i am going,to put that on the corset,and on the skirt so what i'm gonna do,because it's very late,actually right now i ended up running,some errands and then actually not,feeling so well for a little while had a,headache that kind of,impeded my progress but i am back at it,now,so what i'm going to do is try to put as,much of this lace on the skirt as i can,or at least i'm going to pin it on,and then hopefully tomorrow i won't have,all,that crazy of a schedule of work to do,so just looking at the sketch again,you can see i'm coming along i've got,stuff sewn together,just not embellished and that's pretty,good like that's a good place to be at,embellishments do tend to take a lot of,time,i mean not only all this trim but i'm,gonna,add rhinestones and stuff and i do,technically need to finish the waistband,of the skirt,the reason i haven't done that yet is,because i'm going to put,the lace on just the front,of the skirt like just the outer layer,so i'll need to,attach that before i actually,finish off the waistband and i think,you'll see as i do that,and it's the next day we are back,i did not get as much done yesterday as,i wanted,i actually got delayed a little bit by,not feeling so well,i'm taking some antibiotics this week,and i'm pretty sure,that was the culprit but um,it happens it's okay that's why i don't,work,down to the last minute on my actual,plan,of when to get things done because you,really never know what's gonna happen,this is the skirt it has,a lot of black lace trim on it now,there's more than 40 of these points i,want to say,i had there's 43 there's 43 points,there's quite a lot of that i sewed it,all on by machine,and what i did was i actually sewed,the bottom edge first so it was all,like stuck down and then i sewed the top,edge so i sewed like straight across and,then you know up to the point and down,on the other side,and then across the next one up to the,next point down on the other side and,repeated that all the way,along the skirt it took a long time but,honestly sewing it by hand takes even,longer so i'm really happy that i was,able to do it by machine this time and,those are sewn,only to the front layer every time i,make a costume for myself,i find that what really makes it special,for me,is when i get to try one new thing at,least one new thing maybe even more,in each costume so for this one i tried,separating the two layers with the horse,hair trim because so far i've just done,it on one layer or used the two layers,as a single layer and it was really,successful,and i'm excited to try it and get even,better at it on future,projects so that means the skirt is,ready for,a waistband so i need to just basically,attach that to the skirt the back needs,to be hemmed,so there's an opening where you can,actually put the skirt on,and i need to hem that and i may,actually,do what i did on the bodice so one thing,i do on skirts,frequently when i want more than one,person to be able to wear it,is i actually put a buttonhole on either,side of the waistband and then i,i can thread a ribbon through there and,then,the issue of this hole obviously is a,bigger deal on a skirt than a sleeve,which is why the sleeve was easier so in,a skirt i can either put a modesty panel,behind it,or sometimes it doesn't show at all,depending on the layers and how things,lay over each other,so i am going to go ahead and do that,because remember i do,want this costume to be able to be worn,by models so i can use it at photo,shoots and as we all know not everyone,is the same,size so those are just a little bit of,my,solutions to make everything work,for the core set i've actually attached,this,like braid ribbon trim thing here,and i'm making a faux front lacing so to,do that i've actually left,parts of it unsewn so that i can thread,a ribbon through,it i'm using a double sided satin ribbon,so that way it doesn't matter which side,is facing up both sides of them,are that nice satin and i'm just pulling,it through,so i left the pins in until i am,putting the ribbon in because i don't,want to go hunting for where those spots,are right i just,want to know where they are and then i'm,just threading that ribbon through,those open spots in the trim that i used,and then i get this nice fake lace-up,front,detail on the corset and the reason i,did that first,before doing the rest of the,embellishments other than just wanting,to i guess,is that these edges are raw,so i could have done that before i even,did the bias binding,but i know that i'm going to put some,trim on the upper and lower edges of the,corset,so i actually did that now and then the,trim is going to cover where those edges,are,so here we have it and then this needs a,little bit more slack,up there but you know basically it's in,so that's pretty awesome i'm excited to,have things,coming along i may want to put this on,before i put the ribbon in so,you know i may have to take it out and,redo it but i'm going to sew the trim on,by hand anyway,so probably it's not really an issue as,much as i'd love to sew this on by,machine,i might be able to sew that upper edge,by machine,but there's no way i can sew this by,machine because i would be sewing over,boning and that's just not something you,can really do,so i'm going to attach this and let me,show you what i did already on the,shrug jacket or bolero jacket i sewed,this,other trim around the collar and i also,attached it,to the sleeve cuffs i forgot to tell you,i actually attached the waistband,so here it is and in the back i've just,tied a ribbon through those,two buttonholes so that's basically how,that works,i know this was used in historical,costuming as well,and it's like a theater trick you know,whenever you got to make costumes to fit,multiple people,so i'm going to get back to work on this,corset and then finally,i'll be able to make the hat and i'm,going to attach rhinestones also,in to the lace and everything so that is,yet to go,well today is turning out to be quite a,day,in terms of getting stuff done like,embellishments,hand work i've been trying to sew as,much on the machine as possible,because i am trying to finish this today,and,there's a certain limit to how much hand,sewing i can do in a day,normally i will make hand sewing,projects last a little bit longer so i,can,spread them out but i don't have that,with this one because i chose to make it,a last minute project,i'm also fighting a little bit of,physical effects,i'm on antibiotic this week and,last night my sewing time got cut really,short because,i got like a massive headache and it,turns out the symptoms i was having,are known symptoms of the antibiotics so,i have a sneaky suspicion that's what,caused it,but anyways um i just know that i may be,slowed down,later on today as well so i've been,trying to finish as much as i can,early on as possible in fact i actually,sewed,the rest of the trim onto the skirt,before i even had my coffee this morning,like i started the coffee brewing and,just,sat down at the machine and sewed and,that's kind of the way today has been,i've been giving myself breaks along the,way,because that's just something i need,right now at this particular time of,this year i need a lot of breaks so now,i have attached,all the trim to the corset so the,top edge and the bottom here you know,the edge that's attached to the bias,binding i was able to sew that on the,machine so that's really good that saves,me a little bit of,hand work availability we'll say i did,have to sew,everything else down by hand because i,can't sew over boning in the machine,obviously,because it's steel so i sewed down,the rest of it just now and that's,really really good news because,this means all the trim is applied that,i need,and that means that it's really time to,do rhinestoning and i also have to,lace up this corset in the back i feel,like i've showed you guys how i lay,score sets like,a bunch of times and i even have a video,on how to install laces into a corset,which i will link for you,so i'm gonna go ahead and just do that,off camera this time,and then i'm gonna put this on my,mannequin,and we're gonna see how everything looks,what i'm planning to do with the,rhinestones is to apply a bunch of,them throughout the trims so even though,it's not a beaded or,embellished trim it's just a lace a,fancy lace trim,it'll get some rhinestones added and,then i'm planning to add some,inside the corset as well so when i put,the lace on i ended up having to,take this ribbon out of the upper two,spots,and also the lower two spots i'd left,for it so basically i just need to pull,this,down so that it's taut and then yeah,lace up the core side and i got a corset,and,all the pieces are sewn which is really,really good,um i still need to make the headpiece as,well so,i will check back in real soon we are,back and i am attaching rhinestones,i decided to do the skirt first that's,the biggest thing and once i get that,knocked out i can go to the,finer more precise areas of the corset,and the jacket,i'm using gemtak to attach these,rhinestones,i normally use e6000 but i do like how,gemtech is non-toxic so i want to try,that out and see if i can get that to,work for me this time,so basically i am attaching a dab of the,glue,to wherever i want each rhinestone and,then i am,going back and putting in the rhinestone,with some little tweezers,honestly i could put more rhinestones in,here than what i am using,but i think that the amount i'm doing is,enough to give it,a good little amount of sparkle and i,think it'll be really nice,if i want to attach more later i can,always go back through but honestly i,feel like with how shiny the fabric is,to begin with,i really don't need like tons of,rhinestones i think this amount will be,fine,so this is a process that takes a really,long time i'm gonna settle in,and rhinestone for a while,welcome back it is now the next day and,i did in fact,finish my costume last night,there she is so i finished attaching,rhinestones,all over the trims and the corset,and i also made a headpiece,i'm totally messing up her hair here let,me fix that for you,get that out of your face like she's got,a face so,the headpiece is a headband and it's got,felt covering the headband there's also,a comb in there because what's on top,is rather heavy so i thought that comb,would help attach it to the head,and it's got like halloween leaves and,that sparkle pumpkin,that i love so much i'm really excited,about this dress,and in fact today is halloween and we,are going to take some pictures,so we can have our own little halloween,costume party,and i like how this kind of like a very,goth pumpkin queen,look which is perfect very happy with it,so let me show you where the rhinestones,are so,on the lace here i've got rhinestones,when i move it around you can see the,sparkle even if,they're kind of dark so they're equally,placed on all this trim,like on the top and bottom of the corset,and also all the way around on the skirt,so all the way around to the back as,well,it's all got those little rhinestones,in there and also on the jacket i,applied rhinestones,throughout the trim and also on the neck,and these are all applied using gem tac,and then i also added this little,pumpkin,coach like a cinderella fairy tale charm,thought it would be,really nice to add into the look so yeah,turns out this was a success i could in,fact put this together last minute,this week actually within like a few,days and even,not being able to work the whole day,each time i was still able to manage,getting it together,i really do like how everything looks,in the end like the goth pumpkin queen,thing is totally,up my alley and i feel like it's got,this really nice embellished corset,which i like making,so i love making like a really well,structured corset and then adding,embellishments so it's like super fancy,and then i really like,just kind of how striking everything is,i think it's,really nice so it's got a lot of,influence from historical,garments but it's not like nothing's,historically accurate so the core set,is based on late victorian corset,silhouettes,the jacket you know you've got these big,puff sleeves which,are not as big as like some of the late,victorian sleeves but you still have,that kind of,influence coming through which i really,like i feel like this has that kind of,old-timey but not historically accurate,aesthetic to it which is something i,really like all right so i'll show you,some more of the details and,also something extra special i got and,then we're gonna go take some photos i,got this cat,it's the target cat pillow that i was,seeing i actually,got my hands on one and i'm gonna take,it with me to the photo shoot because,how cool will that be,there are so many good parts of this,costume my favorite part,i think is all the rhinestones because i,love,the sparkle that it adds i'm kind of a,sparkle person,but i mean i don't know this halloween,cat that i got,is also pretty How to sew a vampire halloween costume, Diy halloween gothic corset dress sewing / #sewing tutorial

foreign,hey what's up you guys so let's start by,drafting a pattern as you can see i'm,using an old blouse it is important that,you use the exact size,trace the blouse for the bodice and,whatever you do make sure to add your,seam allowance,i also made an adjustment like i squared,around the neckline and i mark one ends,in the bottom and draw a slant line from,the bottom to the shoulder,cut it out and trace it for the back,panels,so erase the back neckline and i also,extend the center back about one inch,for december,cut it out and once it's done split the,front bodice pattern on the line then,redraw it in another piece of paper with,seam allowance addition and split it,again,for the sleeves i draw a straight line,of 8 and 1 4 inches or measure your,baby's arm for more accurate result,then draw a slightly angled line and,connect it to the other line,that is too straight so i'm going to,justify it a little bit by drawing some,curves,for the lower part i drew 7 inches long,and 7 inches wide line then i connect it,to the top approximately the same length,with the upper part,so,attach the top layer into the side of,the skirt,next is to attach the bodice to the,skirt make sure to match the center,panels in both the skirt and the bodice,then just attach the zipper i have a,detailed tutorial on how to attach the,zipper with a lining you can click this,link or check the description box below,attach the lining piece to the main,dress right side facing down pin and sew,them together,then just do the same exact thing on the,other side,one thing i like to do is to do a tap,stitching to hide the zipper to do so,have both pieces open overlap one side,of the mattress pin and sew it directly,then turn the dress inside out and join,the neckline together,then just cut small notches to release,the tension especially on edges and turn,it right side out,you may also need to give it a good,press,okay so to make the vampire collar you,need 11 by eight and a half inches piece,of paper,okay so mark three inches from the right,and from there add five more inches,then mark two inches and five and a half,inches on the left,then just connect all your marks,then just make cork lines just like,making an extra large collar,next is to install the snap button i,place the collar in position and mark,the spot where i wanted the button to be,so i'm gonna be installing the flat side,of the button in this part,and just to let you know i also have a,full tutorial on how to install snap,button please check the description box,below for more details,then i'm going to install the other pair,at the bottom in the collar,then install two more pairs of the flat,ones button at the back,then cut two small pieces of fabric fold,it half and install another pair of snap,buttons over the ones that matches the,dress,just sew them along in the armhole this,will help to cover the exposed buttons,in the dress at the same time this will,also help to hold the vampire collar in,place,next is to attach the eyelets for the,corseted style this is optional if you,decided not to do it that's totally fine,but i could guarantee you that the dress,would still looks amazing without it,so i choose to create a detachable color,so my baby can wear it as a regular,dress as well,so hope you guys enjoyed it,thank you so much for watching and,please don't forget to support me by,smashing the subscribe button it will,only take a second of your time but it,will help me a lot to grow,so have a wonderful halloween and happy,sewing,um,uh
