Easy Baby Halloween Costume Ideas

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,and I must say I am very excited for,Halloween this year because I have a,baby I was actually planning this video,to be mommy and baby costumes but,um kind of oversight on my parts I don't,have as much free time as I used to so,we just ended up making some costumes,for a baby so today's video I wanted to,show you all some easy Halloween costume,ideas for your little ones whoa whoa,whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa I was in the,middle of feeding Leo and then I,realized that I forgot to let you guys,know that we have some new merch we did,a collab with Lauren Z side and I'm,super proud of this collection it's only,going to be available for two weeks so,by the end of this month so make sure to,snag yourself some pieces if you like,them and if you like them any if you,like a mini if you like any of the,pieces we also have baby bibs missed,opportunity I should have put it on Leo,okay should we continue the video with,all your cute costumes,yeah I think so,so the First costume is for the younger,babies who can't yet sit or hold up,their head for too long and it requires,them to lay on their backs which is,perfect for Leo because he's four months,today and he has a really big head so he,can't sit up yet no but seriously this,costume is such a cute idea for a,Halloween photo shoot when they're just,sleeping in the crib and it's a little,bat costume that is so easy to make so,for the bat you're gonna need a black,onesie I bought this off of Amazon grab,a piece of butcher paper and line it up,underneath the armpit of the onesie and,we're going to create a circle by,grabbing some thread or yarn and roughly,just outlining a circle from the tip of,the arm all the way down to the body,then I'm going to grab something round,and use this as a guide to make the,little circle cut outs for the bat wings,cut out the half circles and now that is,your template to use for the bat wings,grab a piece of black felt and cut out,two pieces make sure to flip the,template over because it's going to go,on the opposite side so you should have,something that looks like this once you,have your wing cut out grab a white,charcoal pencil and a ruler and you're,just going to connect the lines to the,corner if you're not a fan of how the,charcoal looks you could use fabric,paint acrylic paint you can even sew it,go crazy with it do the same thing for,the other side and now you have two bat,wings so now to attach the wings onto,the one piece you're just going to sew,them on by hand so for the headpiece we,followed a pattern for a pilot's hat I,will link that down below if you want to,follow that cut out the pattern in some,black Fabric and for the ears it kind of,just freehanded the size you're going to,need two different sizes one for the,black and one for the inner ear and I'm,making that gray we're going to be,making the ears out of felt so that they,stay nice and pointy so cut out two,pieces of the black and two pieces of,the gray and place the gray on top of,the black leaving a little bit of space,at the bottom just like this and you can,either glue these on sew them tacomon,whatever you like to make your life,easier so I follow the directions for,the pattern and just attach my bat ears,onto that and there is our little hat,now that you have a costume made all you,got to do is put it on your baby before,play time or even nap time if you want,them to be sleeping with like their arms,up I saw a picture of it it's so,freaking cute we haven't been able to,deal with Leo because we kind of bought,too small of a onesie but I was really,happy with how our photo shoot came out,it was so fun to play with Leo and get,some photos of him and if you wanted to,match your baby you can totally dress up,as an easy vampire costume if you wanted,to you know just to have like a little,bat that you know you could fly away and,turn into as a vampire that's a thing,right vampires turn into bats and they,fly away at least they do in The Sims so,we're going with it okay so this next,costume is for all of my Gamers out,there you guys know that I love video,games so does my hubby we have bonded,over video games when we first started,dating so we knew that Leo had to be a,little video game character and we had,to do like a family costume so this is,our family costume for this Halloween,and we decided to go with the OG Super,Mario so our baby is gonna be dressing,up as a adorable little Toadstool I,cannot wait for this it is so cute and,then I'm gonna go as Princess Peach and,my husband Mario is going as Super Mario,and if you want a tutorial on the,Princess Peach costume I actually have,one already done,um so if you wanted to match your baby,you can follow that tutorial but let's,get on to the little Toadstool costume,you can make any toad color that you,like but we're going with the original,Toadstool to make the toad costume we,are starting off with his little,mushroom hat start off by measuring your,baby's head my baby has a pretty large,head his head measures 17 inches so I'm,going to leave an inch and a half slack,I'm going to be using a piece of,cardboard the size of my baby's head and,we're going to soften this cardboard by,Rolling it out you can actually do this,on the side of your table it's a lot,easier I was just trying to show you,guys kind of an example how to do it but,once you got some Flex in that cardboard,paper we're just going to roll it into a,circle and we're also going to cut out a,circle piece of cardboard that is going,to be the top portion of the hat so next,we're going to glue these two pieces,together so to tease this together I'm,using hot glue just because it dries,really quickly it's easier to lay the,circle down flat and then just wrap the,cardboard around that and I have this,little mat down here to protect my,Surface so continue gluing all the way,around you're going to need a little bit,of patience here and then once you get,to the edge glue it along the Edge just,like so you should have something that,looks just like this,now grab a white piece of fabric and I,folded this into quarters and measured,it 11 inches and cut it into a circle so,now you should have a big old Circle,just like this and you're going to grab,a piece of white thread along with a,needle and just weave in and out because,we are going to gather this bad boy to,make it nice and fluffy once you went,around the whole circle you're going to,pull your thread through to crinkle it,just like this and then we're going to,glue the white fabric to the inside of,the cardboard so grab your hot glue,again Place some glue on the inside of,the cardboard and fold your white piece,of fabric inwards and glue it down,careful not to burn your hands so you're,not going to glue all the way around the,circle you're going to leave a little,opening because we're going to add our,stuffing so leave a couple inches,unglued and grab your batting or,stuffing and stuff this bad boy to as,puffy as you want it to be it's kind of,hard to get it all the way around so I'm,just using a paintbrush to move all of,the stuffing around once you're,satisfied with the poofiness glue that,little opening down and I just placed,some white fabric on the inside to cover,up the messiness and make it nice and,soft for Leo's head so you should have,something that looks like this now we're,going to add our red little mushroom,dots and I'm just using red Felts cut,out some circles there are five dots on,Toad's headpiece so I'm going to grab,some hot glue and glue these bad boys on,and that completes the tote hat so for,Toad's vest I'm going to be using this,blue fabric along with this gold fabric,for the trim if you like it might be,easier to just use actual trim,but I didn't have anything so we're just,going with this one so we used a,Simplicity pattern for this it was,actually a button-up shirt and we didn't,sew on the arms and obviously aren't,going to add any buttons so if you want,to follow that pattern it is in the,description for the trim I'm just,cutting out a long strand of this gold,fabric that is two and a half inches,wide and we just cut it out so it fits,around the whole vest and after,following the pattern and sewing on our,Gold fake trim this is what we came up,with now it's our favorite part time to,put the costume on the baby and oh my,gosh,this has got to be my favorite costume,out of the three that I'm showing you,all today now for the photo shoot it was,a little bit hard to get the pose,because Leo can't really sit up and the,chair was a little high and he has this,big old mushroom head on so we actually,decided to have him do some tummy time,and those pictures are so adorable like,I am obsessed with them and I cannot,wait to dress up with him all three of,us actually four of us because our dog,Amaya is gonna be going as Bowser I have,a DIY on that as well if you want to,dress up your dog is Bowser but that is,going to be our Halloween family photo,and I can't wait make sure you guys,follow me on Instagram I'll be posting,it there I might do a short or something,here we'll see how that goes but I am in,love with this Toadstool costume it's,just perfect it's like one of those,costumes that just makes my heart so,happy and it wasn't that difficult to,make so I hope you all enjoyed that one,now let's get on to the very last,costume which is the Stay Puft guy is it,a guy is a monster stay puffed from,Ghostbusters now the reason we decided,on Stay Puft was because Leo is a chunky,little peanut butter and he has the,little rolls like the Stay Puft man and,I mean I gotta take advantage of the,baby rolls while I got him right so for,the Stay Puft costume we are using a,white onesie you're also going to need,some white blue and red fabric this is,just a regular cotton fabric so for the,little blue bib we literally used a bib,pattern and squared it off and for the,red tie we freehanded a little pattern,you can find that on our website or you,literally could just tie a red bandana,around your baby it doesn't have to be,anything crazy and after following the,bib pattern we added some white trim on,the edge and attached the fake little,tie underneath the bib so the back of,this piece is velcro and that completes,our bib let's move on to the hat so I,grabbed some butcher paper to create a,template we just cut out a circle that,had an 11 inch diameter use that to cut,out a white circle and using the same,Technique we did for the toad hat we're,gonna do the same thing for this hat I'm,just using black threads so you can,actually see it but you're going to want,to use white and we're just kind of,going in and out in and out and then,we're going to pull it through to gather,it and kind of scrunch it up again,you're going to measure your baby's head,and cut out a strip in the blue fabric,so I'm cutting out a 18 by two and a,half inch strip I'm also going to be,cutting out a 10 inch piece of red,fabric if you have red ribbon you can,completely skip this piece this is the,little ribbon that's hanging off of the,hat but we didn't have ribbons so we're,just making it on our own and if you're,doing it on your own make sure to cut,the edge as a triangle once that's all,sewn together it should look something,like this so now that you have your,pieces ready I sewed the two edges of my,blue piece together and then you're,going going to fold it in half iron it,turn it inside out and sew the edges,together for the hat and then you should,be able to flip it and sew it down and,it should look something like this for,the Red Ribbon just tack that down on,the top and add a little button on top,for the actual text on the hat I use my,Cricut with this white glittery vinyl,and printed out the text stay puffed if,you don't have a Cricut you can paint it,on or you can cut the letters out of,white felt but here's how my text came,out and I'm just going to iron that onto,the hat and once you have the text on,you are now done with your costume,so now it's time to get the costume on,and here is our little stay puffed man,and again for these photos we decided to,have them lay down just because it's,easier for him and for us but we also,did order ourselves some Ghostbuster,costumes so hubby and I are gonna be,going as the Ghostbusters and then Leo,will be those Stay Puft monster or,whatever you call it but this one's a,super simple one it is way more,comfortable for Leo obviously he doesn't,have a giant Mushroom DIY HALLOWEEN BAT COSTUME || DIY BASIC BAT COSTUME || HALLOWEEN DIY

hello everyone transit are here welcome,back to my channel today I'm here with a,fun and easy tutorial on how to make,your own Halloween bat costume this is a,very easy costume the toddlers will love,running around in this costume I hope,you will like it and we will definitely,give it a try,before we move on further please,consider subscribing to my channel and,tapping the bell icon so that we get,notified every time I post a new video,so let's get started,firstly let's start by making the mask,for this I have drawn a template on,regular printer paper and I am cutting,it out in shape if you are not sure on,how to draw it with freehand you can,always download free templates from,Google and print it out and then cut it,in shape I'm also cutting out the spaces,for the eyes so that my daughter can,clearly see through while wearing the,mask now I am pinning this template onto,black felt you can also use black,cardstock but I thought well it will be,more easily flexible and my daughter,will be more comfortable wearing a felt,mask,once I have pinned the mask on to the,felt and carefully cutting along the,border if you are unsure you can also,trace the outline and then cut it but I,was quite okay doing it this way once,you are done cutting out your face mask,all you have to do is punch holes on the,sides my daughter is here already to,wear her mask so here I'm punching holes,on either side of the mask you can also,pierce using a needle but I prefer to,punch it because this is not three the,felt once I am done punching the holes I,will now be inserting elastic I have,taken a like and a stick that measures,roughly if they had circumference of my,daughter I'm inserting the elastic from,the front víctimas to the bank and,securing it to the note make sure the,note is big enough so that it doesn't,come to the poles you have punched then,I'm taking it to the other side making,sure they are no fools on the mouth on,fantastic and then repeating the same,step of inserting it from the front to,the back and securing it with a map,that's it the back mask is ready it took,me less than 10 minutes to make this,easy and quick felt,Batman's,moving ahead let's make the hairband,to make something like the ears of the,band I'm taking this plastic hairband,and then wrapping it up the day's pipe,cleaners portion I'll stakes very very,very quick and easy thing to do even,your kids can make it for themselves so,here I have completed one year and then,I'm taking another stake and wrapping it,around this time I'm roughly measuring,the size of the year of the first year,and then I am again making our fourth on,the back stick and then wrapping the,remaining to the hairband this hardly,takes five minutes your your hairband is,ready you can also let your kids make,this for themselves now let's move ahead,and make wings you can use any flame,black t-shirt for this I didn't have of,your black t-shirt without any print on,it for my of my daughter's size so I am,taking our black pullover sweater and I,am taking this black cotton fabric,fold it in half that is I have two folds,of fabric I am laying it under the,sweater and marking the side seam and,the seam of the sleeve,as you can see I have a vertical line,and what is on your mind wanna align the,site of the body and the other one the,bottom of the sleep,I'm also marking the end of the t-shirt,and the sleep now I will be,straightening these lines with a ruler,and I will also be adding an half inch,margin along this this will be my,seeming allowance I hope you're,understanding you will get a shape that,has a horizontal line and the vertical,line I'm frustrating the lines and then,adding a half inch seam allowance now I,am roughly marking the center of this,this is not necessary but it will help,me make the scalloped margin,so I'm roughly marking the center and,then I am drawing a scalloped margin to,mimic the wings of a bat just go easy,there is no perfect way of doing it just,a freehand scalloped margin you can also,add a quarter to half inch margin in,case if you think your fabric on three,so I'm adding the little margin,for having my curves now I'm cutting,along the lines I have fun make sure you,cut both the layers evenly this is a,very very easy costume to make,especially if you are running late and,if you do not have any ideas or if you,are planning to get them ready in the,last minute this is a go-to costume,because most of the kids have black,t-shirts with them and a black fabric,and some black felt is always lying,around the house so here I have cut out,the wings be careful make sure you cut,both the layers equally so I have both,my wings ready both of them are,identical now what I will do is I will,just crease the half inch mark that we,have made for seam allowance in case if,you have a thicker fabric make sure you,iron it along the seam allowance we have,made and I will be stitching it along,the seam line if you do not want to,stitch it you can also use a glue gun or,hand stitch it I have a sewing machine,so I will be stitching it and coming,back to you after I finish doing it,you can also hem the edges at this point,but I saw that my fabric was not fraying,so I decided to leave it like that,if you think your fabric will fray then,make sure you will hem it so this is how,my costume looks after I have sued the,both the seams along the seam line of,the sweater here you go,it slightly folded but once my daughter,wore it it was not at all visible those,folds were unavoidable because I could,not remove the seams of the sweater and,the sleeve was quite narrow to go,through the sewing machine so they were,false while I was stitching so here is,our bad costume with the hairband a bad,guy eye mask and a sweater with wings,stitched onto it quick and easy isn't it,I hope you will definitely give this a,try and your daughters or kids will love,wearing this and going to their,Halloween parties you can see the,close-ups of the properties I have made,here the hairband the eye mask,the Rings attached to the full sleeves,t-shirt or sweater and here is my,daughter all happy wearing her Halloween,costume I hey guys in today's video i will be,sharing 10,baby halloween costume ideas i did title,this,baby and it's like a little baby edition,because sweet olivia is in,all of these costumes however you,definitely,could use all of these costume ideas for,any age range i am so excited,this is my first halloween as a new mom,so me and olivia are going to have such,a fun time this season i know that,halloween is going to look a lot,different this year but i still want to,have as much fun as,possible and just make sweet memories,with my precious baby girl so we,are kicking it off with 10 halloween,costume ideas i hope you guys will enjoy,this video,get some inspiration have fun and get,crafty,alrighty jumping into costume idea,number one which is an adorable,ladybug these three items right here are,from,the dollar tree this year the wings the,skirt and,the little headband it is i believe for,three years and,up so i did have to tie the wings a,little bit smaller so that it would fit,my baby girl but i think this little,outfit is so cute,olivia already had this little onesie,with some black polka dots on it from,her closet as well as her little,converse shoes,so we just popped this little outfit,together for,three dollars yes please,okay moving on to a costume idea number,two which is,a bumblebee and again this little,costume,three bucks from the dollar tree i did,again have to tie the little strings for,the wings,so that they would fit baby girl and,this little costume was so adorable she,already had,a little yellow onesie but again if you,don't have a yellow one,and you have a black one then just,switch them out you literally cannot,beat a costume,for three dollars,okay costume idea number three is a,black,cat ah how adorable now we already had,everything here we had the ears and the,tail it actually came with a little bow,tie that i got on clearance,one year at walmart the bow tie olivia,was not a fan of so we totally skipped,that,and threw on a little black onesie with,some bell sleeves a little black tutu,she kept on her black converse so so,adorable,you definitely could use a little bit of,makeup add on a little black nose,some whiskers that would totally jazz,this costume up,since olivia is a little teeny tiny baby,she is my preemie girl i didn't want to,put anything on her that could possibly,cause an allergic reaction,so we skipped that but that is,definitely an option that you could try,okay costume idea at number four is a,leopard if you know me,you know i love my leopard print yes,please,so i had to do this one for baby girl we,kept on her little,black onesie and we threw on these,adorable little,high-waisted bummies i bought these for,her a couple of months ago off of etsy,again we kept on the black converse and,then we added on,the little ears and the tail from the,dollar tree and these,items are from the dollar tree this year,you get the set,for a dollar it's so so cute you again,could definitely jazz up this little,costume with some whiskers a little nose,you cannot go wrong with a leopard,alrighty costume idea number five is a,unicorn,y'all i absolutely love this one now my,mom,did pick up this little costume at once,upon a child it is a,resell shop for gently used children's,clothes,and she got this little costume it was,the little dress and the little headband,with the,unicorn horn for 4.50,that was such a steal i did want to show,you an option i looked in olivia's,closet,and she has this little tutu skirt here,from,walmart and a little pink onesie and,this little unicorn horn would be,totally easy to diy,just using a headband that maybe your,baby already has,and creating a little horn using either,card stock,or a toilet paper roll paint it gold,maybe add some gold glitter,and attach it to the headband using a,little bow clip but here is a look at,olivia in her little unicorn costume,her little shoes are from carter's,let's go ahead and move on to a costume,idea,number six which is a baby,scarecrow oh my goodness i absolutely,love this,for this little costume i took a pair of,overalls olivia already had and my mom,bought her this little,plaid flannel from once upon a child for,two,bucks and i started to style the,scarecrow so we already had,these little boots that i thought were,perfect and we did do a couple of,diys i am a big fan of using things that,you already have on hand,and checking out your crafting stash or,your fall decor,for this particular costume i looked at,some of the scarecrows that we already,had,and i took bits and pieces off of them,to make this little costume,so this little sunflower here was on a,scarecrow that i already had,so we just snipped it off added some,dollar tree raffia and a little dollar,tree sunflower,then hot glued it to a bow clip and,clipped it onto,her overalls my mom made this little,scarecrow hat headband,my aunt had given olivia some,interchangeable head bamboo so we just,used the little yellow headband,and mom took a bow clip and created a,scarecrow hat,she took a piece of felt and cut out two,pieces in the shape of a,scarecrow hat she did look at a couple,of scarecrows that i had here in my fall,decor and used that as an example she,stuffed it added some raffia,made a little patch using some dollar,tree burlap and added another little,dt a sunflower on top of it then hot,glued the little hat to a little bow,clip,so that we could attach it to her,headband my mom made this little hat,in no time so i encourage you to look,around at your crafting stash and fall,decor,get creative and crafty and see what you,can come up with,okay moving on to a costume idea number,seven which is a baby lumberjack y'all,we kept on,the same overalls switched our flannel,out for a onesie,added a piece of a buffalo check bandana,and a buffalo,czech beanie and i think she looks so so,cute here,now we have all of this stuff on hand,and the banana is just a,leftover piece of material and the,little lumberjack beanie,actually came off of a christmas outfit,that i bought for her on clearance,last year whenever i was pregnant and i,do have to add,this in here from last year mark and i,and max,were all lumberjacks for halloween when,miss olivia was in my tummy so i just,had to create a little,lumberjack costume for her,okay moving on to costume idea number,eight and it is a,little a cowgirl we are keeping on the,same overalls,the same onesie instead of the buffalo,check bandana i switched it out for a,light pink baby girl bandana,and i added on a pink bow we did have,this little a teeny tiny cowboy hat,which is definitely a cute prop,or you could attach it to a little,headband and we kept the same,little boots on and look at mr max he,has his little cowboy outfit on,so adorable,okay moving on to costume idea number,nine and ten and i just wanted to let,you guys know,these were from olivia's previous photo,shoots but they definitely work for,halloween costumes,so costume idea number nine is a spa,baby for this costume,i used a little baby robe that i had got,as a baby shower gift,and i made this little onesie for olivia,just added on some,glitter eyelashes she had these little,white bloomers and i did purchase this,little hat off of,etsy with the rollers it is oh so,cute y'all if you know how to crochet i,bet you could totally replicate this,and if you don't you could totally,switch out this little hat,for a towel which would be just as cute,and last but certainly not least costume,idea number 10,which is a fairy so for olivia's half,birthday she wore this pretty little,dress,but if you add wings it would be a,perfect fairy costume,these wings here were given to us at my,baby shower but this is just an idea to,inspire you to see what dress you,already have that would look like a,fairy,and just add wings and fyi the dt has,fairy wings for a dollar yes please,alrighty well that is a wrap for today's,video please let me know what you think,in the cat,or a leopard or even a scarecrow just,for like allergic reaction purposes,but you definitely could if you were,going to replicate these costume ideas,on yourself,add some little whiskers a little nose,for a scarecrow it would be,darling to add some black eyeliner or,face paint with like stitching for the,mouth,a little triangle nose i was a scarecrow,oh my goodness like four or five years,ago TWIN BABY HALLOWEEN COSTUMES!

hey everyone I'm Colleen Ballinger happy,Halloween happy spooky season I am so,excited for this video you guys I've,been planning this video for like a,month I am losing my mind so in case,some of you guys don't know I have a,three-year-old and I have two little 11,month old baby twins and I am dressing,them up for Halloween and I'm very very,excited about it I bought them way too,many Halloween costumes basically I,looked up every kind of like twin,version of a Halloween costume I could,find and I bought it and of course I,obviously bought a bunch of costumes for,my three-year-old as well because who,doesn't want a bunch of Halloween,costumes I've been waiting patiently for,weeks for all of the costumes to arrive,and they are all here and we're gonna,try them all on today and I'm just so,now you might be thinking why is it so,exciting it's just Halloween costumes,like it's not that big of a deal and,once you start watching this video you,might also be thinking why did you buy,so many costumes this is a little absurd,well I'm trying to heal the inner child,in me I guess because I was not allowed,to celebrate Halloween as a kid so this,is very exciting for me that I get to,celebrate Halloween with my children my,parents felt like Halloween was a very,good day if you will they were just,doing their best to try to keep me and,my siblings safe as a child I believed,that if you went trick-or-treating,almost all of your candy would be full,of poison and razor blades and I also,thought that my cats were going to be,murdered if I let them go outside so I,never celebrated it and when I turned,like 12 or 13 I finally got to celebrate,my parents in front of like you know,what okay you guys can celebrate it's,innocent like you can go,trick-or-treating but by the time I was,12 or 13 I was too old to go,trick-or-treating and when I would try,to go trick-or-treating everyone would,be like aren't you a little too old for,this and it was devastating so I don't,have a bunch of pictures from my,childhood of me dressed in little cute,Halloween costumes and we never,decorated my house for Halloween never,did any of that stuff but if you know me,you know I love holidays celebrating and,decorating and getting festive is like,one of my favorite things to do and now,that I have kids I love it even more so,I have a bunch of Halloween costumes,ready I'm gonna stop talking about,myself and let's get into the costumes,that I bought for my children now,obviously all these Halloween costumes,are very cute and I will be having my,children wear them all throughout this,month however none of the costumes you,are about to see will be our actual,Halloween Day costume because we want to,do a family matching costume this year,and we need help with ideas so if you,have any ideas for what my little family,of five could be for Halloween that's,matching and funny and silly like please,let us know in the comments below last,year for Halloween my son insisted that,we be Paw Patrol I was very pregnant I,gave birth six days after this photo was,taken so I was mayor Humdinger my,husband was Captain turbot and my son,was Marshall then we also had a,secondary Halloween costume which was,Juno so I also dressed up like this for,Halloween last year but anyway this year,we don't have any ideas so give us ideas,in the comment section below thank you,okay so let's get started I went on to,good old Amazon and I searched for twin,Halloween costumes a lot of stuff came,up and a lot of stuff that had nothing,to do with twins came up so then I just,started looking up cute baby costumes,stuff like that so let's get into it the,first thing that popped up everywhere,was this salt and pepper costume this,popped up everywhere for me when I would,search twin Halloween costumes I felt,like I had to get it because I just kept,seeing it every time I searched for a,twin Halloween costume so let's put it,on the babies there's our Salt and,Pepper eating an apple Mustang doesn't,mind it so much Macy I don't think likes,dressing up in costumes but this costume,said it came with pants and it doesn't,come with pants but their little hats,are so cute they look like Chef hats,more than they do like salt and pepper,shaker so the top has like a little,pepper,did you say mama,Macy does not like Halloween Maisie is,not a Halloween fan Leslie doesn't care,okay we can take off your hat there took,off your hat is that better okay,okay guys did you like that costume not,so much,wow,okay so there you have it I felt like,that costume was kind of a rip-off,because it didn't come with the freaking,pants and if it's pictured I think that,it should come with it do you know what,I'm saying also the hats look like Chef,hats to me or like Jiffy Pop and not,really like the top of a salt and pepper,shaker however it's still very cute oh,also now I'm noticed it comes with like,a long sleeve shirt and a picture too,and it did not inline okay whatever,that's annoying anyway moving on next,one okay this one's really cute we have,Peter Pan and Tinkerbell I'm so excited,about this one I'm a super huge Disney,adult like I'm a big Disney fan so,anything Disney I'm gonna be a fan of,and I'm very excited about this costume,why too bad this hat is a million sizes,too small for his big old head,okay we gotta take this one off Maisie,hates it she hates it I think she yeah I,gotta go I gotta take some crazy okay I,had to take off Macy's costume because,she hated it she doesn't like scratchy,tulle Wesley looks adorable but there's,a problem my kids have very big heads,all three of my kids have heads in the,99th percentile they have since I was,pregnant with them all of them and so do,Eric and I so it makes sense but um this,hat this is an 18 month old costume it's,for 18 month olds he's 11 months and,this hat wouldn't even fit his ear it is,so tiny compared to his head I don't,think you guys can really understand how,much this hat would never ever fit his,Noggin so that's unfortunate because the,hat is a very important part of Peter,Pan costume so that doesn't work okay so,that was cute on Wesley it made me,really sad that Maisie hated it so much,it's not that she doesn't like dresses,or dressing up she just doesn't like,certain textures like itchy tulle any,material or fabric that's not like,extremely soft she's pretty much like,don't put that near me I'm a little,nervous about the rest of this video,that she's just gonna I hate the entire,experience I'm sad that the little cuffs,didn't fit on his arms and I'm sad that,the Hat didn't fit in but I assumed the,Hat wouldn't fit him because literally,the only has to fit my children are,adult sized hats it just means they got,really big brains this actually could be,a really good family costume if Maisie,liked the Tinkerbell costume because I,could be windy there could be Captain,Hook something could be Smee or,crocodile that's a cute family costume,but Maisie hated being Tinkerbell so,that's not gonna work maybe if Maisie,was Peter Pan I mean Kathy Rigby was,Peter Pan it's usually played by a woman,in stage musical so that is an option,that's a good option I hope you guys,don't think that I forgot about,wonderful Mr Flynn of course I have,costumes for Flynn but I let Flynn pick,out the costumes that he wanted so when,I looked for like toddler costumes on,Amazon the first thing that he saw that,he freaked out over was this costume he,was so excited to see a little superhero,and Red's his favorite color right now,so he's very excited about this and he,doesn't really watch superhero shows so,I don't even really know how he,understands what a superhero is but he,really wanted that costume and he loved,it he wore it most of the day so let me,show you what it was looks like okay let,me see,here he comes,oh my gosh look at you,holy smokes no way look at how fast the,superhero is here he comes,oh my gosh how,cute did you see in the mirror yet you,gotta go look in the mirror at this cool,costume,you look amazing dude yeah 10 out of 10,he loves that costume so much so that's,a wonderful generic superhero costume if,you're looking for one and of course his,obvious next choice was to be a,cockroach and much to my surprise there,are cockroach costumes so this is the,costume we got for Flynn his little,cockroach costume and he was very,excited to put it on obviously I wanted,matching costumes for the kids so I went,to look for bug costumes and since,Maisie we've always called her ladybug,ever since she was born I of course had,to get Maisie ladybug costume so this is,the costume I got from Miss Maisie Joe,and then I was gonna get a worm costume,for Wesley and I thought I did but it,never arrived and then when I looked at,the stuff that I bought I didn't see one,so somehow I put that in my cart but,then it went out of my cart so Wesley,doesn't have a bug costume today but,that's okay there's lots of other,costumes I'm just a little bummed,because he would have looked so cute as,like a little worm or a little,caterpillar okay anyway let's try on the,costumes okay,Flynn insisted on getting out his,cockroach costume putting maisie's,ladybug on her together here comes the,ladybug,there's the ladybug,you like it no you don't like it,maisie's not a big Halloween costume,girl okay you don't have to like it oh,here's the Cockroach oh my gosh Flynn,look at this cool cockroach you gotta,scare daddy should we go should we go,freak daddy out how about this one I'll,tell Daddy there's a cockroach in the,house and then you be running around got,it okay you ready okay where do you want,to be so I can tell him should I tell,him there's a cockroach in the kitchen,right there okay uh love you sorry to,interrupt this is important there is a,huge cockroach in the house I need you,to come get it I call you right back I,have to catch a cockroach,okay,you're an idiot,whoa ah did you catch the contract I,caught him isn't that a crazy cockroach,you gotta flush them down the toilet oh,no I,oh thank goodness wait he looks like a,real cockroach,he thought it was actually talking so,you actually were having me I literally,see the couch so you know how the couch,is pivoted yeah because I had to get a,dead cockroach out from under attention,today today oh gosh this one's a lot,cuter hopefully than the other one so,obviously Maisie hated that but it is,getting close to her nap time so maybe,after nap she'll be feeling a little bit,better and Flynn had a blast tricking,Eric into thinking there's an actual,cockroach in the house so that was a,total win and we're totally keeping this,because even if he never wears it again,I certainly feel like I could wear this,in like a Miranda video or something so,this is an A plus decision okay the next,one I am so confused by because I went,into my car to see the things that I,bought so that I could show them to you,and I wanted the babies to be a monkey,and a banana this was a yet another,costume that I have been with my husband,and with my son Flynn anyway I thought a,monkey and a banana would be really cute,for Wesleyan Maisie here is the monkey,costume the banana costume is really,confusing because when I go to click on,what I purchased which is a cute little,baby banana costume it does not show me,the banana costume it shows me this,really terrifying photo so here you can,see the baby banana costume that I,purchased up there and it's really cute,but then when you click on it it takes,you this terrifying picture of this,weird little chicken costume with a very,angry baby like what is this but this is,what pops up and also it only has two,stars but yeah this is definitely not,what I purchased but that's what shows,up anyway it's a banana costume let's,put the banana and the monkey on the,babies look at you,this is,n't yet,look at all Cutie Pies oh my gosh I,cannot stand it,hi hi,Christmas,is so cute,just a cute little banana,can you say,these are their favorites that's for,sure it might be my two mostly why are,you sitting like that Macy you look so,appealing all right you guys are so cute,okay guys this next one I'm a little bit,nervous about because it's another dress,that has some tulle on it so I'm nervous,maisie's not going to enjoy this,experience but maybe she will maybe this,time she'll like it because it's a,princess costume maybe she'll like be,into princesses and this will be totally,her thing but I doubt it but how cute is,this idea Dobie and Snow White I'm so,excited this one I think it's gonna be,really cute I hope that Maisie enjoys,all right the babies are in the middle,of watching Miss Rachel right now so,you're gonna see them in their costumes,while they watch Miss Rachel we try to,take them outside for a minute uh if,you're happy and you know it clap your,hands if you're happy and you know it,clap your hands,Wesley you're so Dopey,they didn't really like that they didn't,want Miss Rachel interrupted so the,footage you're saying they're watching,Miss Rachel God bless her okay moving on,the next one is another Flynn costume,that he picked out and Flynn if you,don't know my son is very obsessed with,bugs if you give my son a truck a bug or,anything from that Gabby's dollhouse,show he will be your best friend but,more specifically if it's a bug like,he's really really obsessed with bugs,thus the Cockroach costume and now this,one that I'm about to show you a snail,costume that you ride you ride the snail,I'm very curious if he'll even be,willing to get into this one because it,seems a little intense I've had costumes,like these before the ones that inflate,and they're very overwhelming so I have,a feeling you might not even want to get,into this one if not I will do it but I,really hope he gets into it because I,think it would be really really funny so,let's see okay here goes the snail,costume we're so excited okay so what,you're gonna do is you're gonna step,inside,foreign,wow,this is the coolest costume I've ever,seen in my life this is my favorite one,so far so now you're talking,snail run oh goodbye snail good night,the snail got some soft cord on it I,guess oh it's shrinking the ice now okay,guys this is the finale these next three,costumes this matching little costume,set I am so freaking excited about,because it's absolutely insane we stayed,in a Beach town over the summer and we,went to the beach a lot and my son,became very obsessed with sea creatures,specifically crabs because crabs are,kind of like the bug of the sea so he,wanted this crab costume which is pretty,incredible however I thought it'd be,cute if they were all some sort of a sea,creature and then I came upon the most,insane Halloween costume for a baby that,I've ever seen in my life a baby octopus,costume this is one of the most insane,things I have ever seen and it was 70,dollars seventy dollars I debated on,actually buying this for a very long,time but it's just so insane I was like,first of all why is it 70 second of all,I need it this is such an impractical,stupid costume but I had to have it so I,completely wasted money on this one I'm,sure but like I had to get it right like,this is crazy so I think I'm gonna put,Maisie in this one because she's Less,Mobile than Wesley is right now and for,Wesley I got him this cute little,starfish costume look at that so they're,all going to be little sea creatures,this is the finale I am so excited about,this one you guys oh my gosh okay here,we go we got a crab we got a crab oh,gosh,he's doing the crab crawl oh gosh,oh crap,Flynn wanted to try the octopus first,looking good dude whoa look at you dude,looking good spooky Dukes Wesley's,fish,are you a starfish an octopus is coming,to get you the octopus and the starfish,oh my goodness,oh my gosh I know this is the grand,finale but I don't know that Macy's,going to want to put that thing on her,head we'll try but look how cute my,little starfish is cutest the cutest,also Flynn looked pretty awesome in the,squid slash octopus outfit not fine,you can keep it if you want to keep it,okay I think it might be nap time soon,so we got to be done with these costume,amazing,cutie patootie octopus are you a little,octopus,oh my God,oh my God the most insane costume all,right that's all the Halloween costumes,I have for Halloween Costumes for Babies

and welcome back well let's admit it we,don't dress babies up in Halloween,costumes for them we do it for us,because they're so darn cute I love that,baby the gumball machine they're so cute,with spending lots of money though on,something that they'll only wear once,it's kind of hard to swallow so our next,guest was faced with the challenge come,up with easy and very affordable,eco-friendly and suitable to Wisconsin,whether that's the challenge and yeah,joins us now with some DIY costume ideas,it's Kelsey column bula she provides,craft ideas for parents section in Metro,Parent Magazine in their print edition,each month I love these ideas and,they're so close,babies are adorable underdog wearing,super sweet um so you're the challenge,was to create things that are affordable,that are that are easy but you know in,our weather a lot of times the the,costumes that kids want to wear just,aren't practical because very often it's,cold outside of Halloween so the two,designs we have involved layers long,sleeves and hats,perfect all right so you're gonna teach,us how to do this we can make this for,any little one in our life that's right,and you can you can use it for any kinds,of sizes so here we have like a six to,nine month old child but you can modify,this design to any age really the first,one being a gumball machine so we have a,basic onesie just pull that out of the,drawer okay and we've got some poms here,and all you're going to do is place the,palms in a circular shape okay on the,onesie oh you've got a kit and then you,use like a glue gun or something like,that well look at this fun one it's like,two-sided it's like another the key,thing to remember is underneath here,we've got a piece of paper because you,don't want to glue one side the other,side so that's the one tip to remember,okay then you can just hot glue those on,and it's a quick project so if that baby,you're making this for is about to wake,up in like five minutes and you're,crafting time is over this is great yeah,they have a harness money you'll make,them people give the baby 25 cents do,any color pants and oh yeah in the Hat,if you can't find a red hat this hat is,actually made out of a t-shirt and last,time I was on we are talking about,things you can make with t-shirts so,here's another idea,it's a sleeve yeah it's a sleeve or you,can do right on the front of that little,t-shirt you're not using anymore,but go online lots of tutorials on that,this,the end of the sleeve and then she cut,it and tied it that is so cool,yeah perfect makes a perfect baby this,next one is also made out of sleeves,that's right so we have an owl costume,and it's also made out of men's dress,shirts and so we just cut out some,patterned fabric we have a little,pattern here that we've used okay how,easy is that and you I've actually made,it out of a cereal box so just cut that,out and then cut out all of your shape,shapes and all you do is line them up in,a pattern yep overlapping okay and you,can glue them on I recommend using like,a fabric glue or real tacky glue then,and you just keep adding them and gluing,them on and I've taken a t-shirt here,and you just cut off the sleeves so it's,really the base is a t-shirt it's a,little bit oversized for the child or,the person that you're making for get a,slightly larger shirt and then you just,start over lapping glue on mine and,you're done so that easy oh cool thank,you,yeah and a hat for this one is made out,of absolutely made it out of a little,sweat suit that got torn and things so,again repurpose reuse the idea is we,don't always have to go out and buy,something new you can use what you have,be happy with you have it,so it was a little sweater and then you,just use little Thumbelina pieces to put,on the eyes and the nose so sweet yes we,got long sleeves nice layers keep that,baby warm on Halloween all right let's,talk about the kid who is the carrot how,did you do that costume so all that is,if that's a large piece of orange fabric,and I use like a flannel nice and cozy,it's just a piece of fabric and so we,swaddle them up just like you would a,blanket or if you don't have an orange,blanket again the Hat is made out of a,t-shirt you can find a tutorial of that,online and then just a little bit of,green tulle so and is great to work with,because you can make yeah you can tell,you're on whimsical,if you want that's really cool have fun,with it yeah how many how many ideas,like this are in the would be these,three ideas that will be in the upcoming,October Metro Parent Magazine and it'll,show you all the measurements and ideas,so you don't have to remember at all,it'll be there for you this is a fun,project I think to do too if you have a,baby in your house but then you have,older kids,they could help make a costume more the,baby which is kinda cool and we always,in Kelsey's craft corner we always,encourage that hands-on working together,enjoy the process the time together that,you're creating not just that end result,but the time you're sharing together,yeah and get started now because I think,that's a good point and I know this is,going through you know sorting through,the costume closet is we call it that,you know you do it at the last minute,but this is a fun thing to get started,with today grab some things around your,house and you can have a gumball machine,then they don't and they don't look like,every other kid out there because,everyone's gonna be a minion and you,know it now you're gonna have a,different cost and they're or make it Monday segment this morning,we've got Jamie Dornan back from craft,creating really awesome free things to,calm here to show us some easy baby and,infant costume ideas and these are,adorable and know so know so they're,perfect so today I have a carrot costume,a koala bear costume and a panda costume,very cute and I love it because they're,all made with onesies and after,Halloween you can actually turn the,onesie back into just a onesie yeah,you're not gonna ruin it so we'll start,with the Panda you just use felt and hot,glue you can see that the ears are hot,glue on just creating this little hat,yeah basically well what do you use for,this this is just a white felt a white,hat that you can you know buy any the,best or most babies probably have them,at home yeah okay and then you just use,felt to put on the ears eyes nose and,then oh got it on this side too yeah,very very cute and then you can just do,a black onesie,with this right and then here's a bear,you would put the white dot on his belly,we'll just safe all right all right,mm-hmm so then the koala bear is the,exact same thing you just make a little,koala mask and I just safety pins the,Koala mask to the Hat like we said no,songs you're using safety pins so you,can use this hat over again and that,makes it even easier for the parents to,work with here and you're just really,cutting out felt shapes to create a,little hat there and then with these,pants yeah these are just pants they're,a little got pants that he already had,that I already own and then I'm just,safety pin on little koala bear claws,adorable and this one I absolutely love,and you could do a couple different,veggies here but we've got a carrot and,not just any carrot it's a organic,carrot of course yes so this is super,easy it's an orange long-sleeved onesie,I made the little stickers on a mailing,label I just traced a corner to get the,sticker size and then wrote it on with,this little sharp being cute and then,this is just elastic bands that I,actually I guess I did hand Stitch a few,stitches to make it fit around his head,uh-huh and then you get in this tool you,can buy to any fabric store super cheap,and you cut it into strips that's of,course the top of the carrot yeah for,his carrot top and you just tie it,around the day elastic and that is how,you make his carrot top so easy and,probably only cost you just a few bucks,at the crafts,or just to get a few items there and,it's not going to take too much time I'm,sure that's got to be the thing for,parents that's intimidating around,Halloween you want your kid to look cute,have fun but just taking all that time,getting together a costume they're gonna,wear once yeah something's simple and,you want to be able to use it again and,you have a six month old yes right so,you've got some experience here what,have you decided you're gonna dress him,I think he's gonna be the carrot the,carrot I love it it's so cute and you've,got much more ideas many more ideas also,yeah on your website on my blog it's,called crap so it's creating really,awesome free things calm and there's,hundreds of Halloween ideas and they're,all gonna be posted today so you know we,got Halloween about week and a half away,now a little more than that so you still,have some time and these are very easy,to put together so great Jimmy thank you,so much again it's craft creating really,awesome free things dot-com
