DECORATE WITH ME!!! Halloween Bedroom 2021!!!

hey everyone i hope you're having the,most magical september,day i can't believe i get to say that,the most magical september day it is i,mean it's been here but i'm just all,excited that i get to keep saying that,because fall,is happening it is so close i can feel,it i can smell it,kind of,not really because you know it's still,summer and my allergies are always out,of control so i can't really smell,anything today we are decorating my,bedroom for halloween uh we did a little,summerween decorating a little,summerween bedroom decorating if you saw,that video which i think was back in was,that july we decorated essentially our,new mattress and then i did the,nightstands and all that did my whole,bedroom and that's kind of what we're,going to be doing today except different,decorations didn't go exactly according,to plan which i'll get into here in a,second uh and tell you you know long,story longer what kind of happened but,before i get into that i want to about birch living right so,we're gonna start decorating for,halloween but first i want to get into,my long story longer i know this is the,longest intro of all time but you know,how we do things around here anyways,long story longer,longest story of all time,i wanted to do a beetlejuice theme in,here i was gonna move my beetlejuice,theme i found this duvet cover,that just screamed beetlejuice to me,you'll see it it screams beetlejuice it,just does black and white thing reminds,me of sand worm but also just,beetlejuice in general you know a suit,so i have this whole idea in my head,but,um i have some things coming that are,beetlejuice related that i haven't,received yet,and um i just okay we did a,jack-o'-lantern theme last year on my,mantel in my living room and uh,i'm not doing that in my living room,this year i'm going for something darker,i really want to do a jack-o'-lantern,theme in here now so i'm so excited to,show you i decided also i was just gonna,put on my halloween pajamas i've got my,mr skeleton pajamas on uh and we're,gonna decorate for halloween in here,hope you're ready excited let's go let's,decorate for halloween so excited,all right,let's put these sheets on,to probably wait until the mattress pad,is done but i at least i don't know i,get impatient i want to see what it,looks like i also have some lime green,ones,that i bought because i was gonna do,beetlejuice i bought these as backup and,i'm glad i did because i decided to go,to something totally different last,minute,um because i didn't really have enough,beetlejuice stuff,so i'm hoping this works out,um and looks good,we're gonna,put this on these sheets are really nice,and soft i'll link these in the,description as well,in case you're looking for some,halloween orange,sheets,i have been,accidentally dying my pillowcases orange,because,my hair is all orange i really am,nervous about this comforter cover,though i don't think i like it slightly,nervous i feel like it would definitely,work for beetlejuice room i definitely,want to keep the orange sheets though,because i don't really have another,option i couldn't really find any,halloween sheets this year for a king,that looked good quality so i mean all,the ones that home goods all sold out in,like 2.5 seconds so you know i wasn't,gonna find those and i wasn't really,feeling like the snoopy vibe or anything,like i'm not really feeling like i,didn't really want halloween peanuts,theme that doesn't really get me going,it doesn't make the magic happen in here,we're going to get the comforter on and,we're going to put the comforter cover,on and i'm nervous,comforter on here let's do,i really need to put this thing on hold,on one second means,she's begging to get on the bed,i hope you like these types of videos,where we hang out and,decorate together i don't know that i'm,gonna do every decorating video like,this,especially some of the longer ones are,the ones that take me a little bit you,know just longer to actually decorate,i'll probably do a voiceover just,because i never know what i'm going to,keep and what i'm going to cut out,because,sometimes especially like with my mantle,i move things around a lot,so what is happening here,this is such a perfect beetlejuice,moment you know what i feel like we can,make it work for halloween and if we,can't then we'll find something else oh,i actually really okay wait i kind of,changed my mind,uh now that i'm seeing it kind of,straightened out i think i like this,my bad i do this all the time i'm like i,don't think i like that and i'm like,wait a minute i think i like it by the,way these are my favorite halloween,pajamas they're from this brand they're,at kohl's this year they were at kohl's,last year too but they also usually have,them at target but i haven't seen them,this year quite yet they're called,good night monkey monkey or something,these are so soft,and they have the cutest little,halloween prints on them look at this,mr skeletons extra skeletons all over it,and i'm gonna zip this up,this looks way better,than i thought it would,i was worried,this is actually not that bad,like it has a flap,oh my gosh my sneeze over the zipper and,everything i'll show you it has the,zipper,but then it has kind of the flap or i,don't know what you want to call this,that covers the zipper can't really tell,that the zipper's there,are you guys hypnotized yet,by the comforter,uh this whole thing down,like so,pull,the sheet down means you're next you're,gonna get on the bed next,don't you fret,and then we're going to get memez's bed,first i got to get her blankies,underneath here,uh do we not have any spooky lunches,racist,geez louise my allergies are so bad,what's going on,put her bed into the bed it's like right,in the center,of our heads because that's where she,demands,to be,isn't that right sis all right,our blanky on got this jack skellington,blanket one of her favorites,it's one of the soft ones come on ready,okay,there you go,good job,all right,did you find your spot i know there's no,other pillows on i know you're mad,change is hard i know,we're gonna make the bed though,you're so cute,might mix this like do,some orange and then some of the,halloween,uh some of the halloween pillows here i,have one right here it's been on our bed,uh from the last video we did the,summerween bedroom decorate with me,uh this is the print so i think i'm,gonna mix the two,maybe i should have gotten some smaller,pillowcases but i think these are the,ones that came with it,here's this,i know means you like your halloween bed,do you need another blankie,are you good,you digging,does anyone else have animals who just,dig their beds up like means does,what you're doing little means,i don't know what we're gonna do,for,add these,or,we can bring in the nevermoor,pillows that we used before,and kind of mix them what are oh i kind,of like that mix,we could almost put these,in another pillow let's try this,she's about to get really really mad,she does not like it when i put pillows,on the bed,but we're trying to make halloween,happen sis,oh by the way i always call mean sis,because uh dallas's mom actually got me,started on that she calls all of her,little dog sis she was calling me and,sis,and i don't know got me and i just,started calling her sis i think this is,meant for like a really flat,long pillow but we're gonna make it work,because,sorry i need sorry means,it just needs to look,looks a little full,lots of sap,if you know,that quote then you know,it's your ears what you doing,what you doing,i'll link these if i can find on these,uh nevermore pillows it came with the,whole quilt set um that we used during,summerween and last year for halloween,if you're a spooky family member you saw,this last year,um and then these ones i'll have,everything linked in the description,um where's my i need to find some peels,we're wanting to go with the,jack-o-lantern thing so i'm thinking for,pillows,these i'm thinking these guys,look,for once i'm gonna make some people,really happy because in my last video,i uh,did not,cut off the tags by the way i'm using,eyebrow scissors because i can't find my,scissors,um that's probably why i didn't cut them,off before i can never find my scissors,pretty much store in my life should just,probably buy some more but,that would be way too easy let's go here,all,right what do you think you're doing,okay i'll set up a little bed next to me,you just i don't trust you not to tinkle,somewhere so get in your bed,yeah,okay,yep there's a good spot right there,that's a good spot,okay,mom's gonna take off this tag,2.0,while means digs in her new bed,get in there,good job,you're such a good girl oh my baby,oh yeah,oh yeah scratchy scratchy scratchy,scratchy squishy scratchy you're such a,good girl,what a good girl,i know you just want a cuddle,i know,cars,there you go,it's a good spot okay here we go,these are actually the perfect scissors,for this because they're really small so,it can get pretty up close and personal,without,uh damaging the pillow so that's really,good i don't know,what we're using yet but we're going to,start there,then we're thinking about,this,guy,i'm going to take this off we're taking,all the tags off today sis,maybe like that,or i thought about this little ghosty,pillow,you like that one,oh you think i'm getting in bed because,this is my side,let's try,this ghosty pillow,and maybe we'll put this guy here,like that this,thoughts what do you think,maybe i was going to do,i thought about doing it right away hear,me out,thought about doing this yellow pillow i,know it seems weird but like candy corn,you know vibe,like a little pop of color maybe let's,see,means you're trying to get back into,your spot okay i'll let you in,come on,you want to get back in here's the,secret passageway come on come on in,your bed,there you go secret passage julie good,job,all right she's good she's in there now,my dogs when i say they're my life i'm,not joking my dogs are my life i love it,it's the most rewarding thing,i do is,take care of my senior dogs oh are we,back out her head is poking out me,oh i know i feel like,it's taking away from the orange a,little bit,but just some inspo if you're wanting,some ideas,the yellow could be really cool i can't,remember where i got those target i,think,or maybe i got these at home goods,okay here's this got lots of prints,going on which,i kind of like,even though it's a lot it kind of goes,maybe i don't know maybe not,or you know what you could do,do,this,and then,all right or we could do,this guy this ray done pillow of all,things,in the front this is so many throw,pillows it's taking up the whole bed or,ghosty,happy halloween in front,i think this is the winner we're just,gonna go for black white and orange,and call it,a day,all right and this,is the final look of the bed so we're,gonna move on to the nightstands and uh,some other decorative accents so we're,gonna do that with the nightstand i kind,of wanted to add something spooky like,this,like a creepy cloth,i get these from,dollar tree every year i just got some,new ones this year too because they,just had them but mine are also my put,my dollar trees are also really slow to,get stuff out but,i figured i put this on i don't know,maybe i need to kind of make it look,creepier just kind of drape it different,like stretch it out kind of just folded,it in half but then spread it apart a,little bit,and then that's,that but i don't really want it to,block from opening the drawer,so something kind of like that so i got,these lamps,from,home goods this is going to kind of be a,home goods haul spoiler because there's,a home goods haul coming up where you're,going to see these and this is one of,the reasons i didn't go,with a beetlejuice theme because i was,like this kind of screams you know,traditional halloween but also i feel,like the spiderwebs are gonna project,really cool shapes onto the wall,so i haven't tried it yet but we're,hoping for the best,yes,i don't know where we're positioning it,yet but that's kind of the idea all,right so i'm not quite sure what i want,to do here,i want to mix different heights that's,what i like to do,so i like to do where i might put that,here,i like these are about the same height,so that's not my favorite so i'm gonna,add this little pedestal i got from at,home a couple years ago,and this may be too tall i'm not,positive,but,i don't know if this is gonna annoy me,that the oranges are different colors or,if i'm gonna like that there's just a,plain old jack-o'-lantern,and i can even do a little baby,jack-o'-lantern here,or here,there's not much room for phones now,so i'm gonna think about that,brought up a branchy tree for the back,possibly for height,i think that's not a good choice,the baby jack-o'-lantern might be too,much,and like a lantern instead,kind of wanted it to be a lot of,jack-o-lanterns but i might,have these be the same height,like that,do you think that's too much though like,too much space is taken up like,we need room for phones and stuff come,on let me try this,i just feel like this tree is just so,random there maybe we can put a little,okay i will say coming up the stairs and,just walking in from afar i do prefer,this darker orange against the wall,um,but we might be able to kind of break,some of this up i have this crow,pedestal,i got from michael's a while back,i just feel like that puts too many,heads,i could put just a regular candle there,a black candle here,but then i feel like that blocks the,tree all right let's try this no there's,something so weird about this,tree i don't hate the tree,i just feel like it's a little random,i don't know i think i like it i these,are very much the same height but i feel,like the branchy tree kind of breaks it,up all right on this bottom shelf area,and don't worry i don't know what's back,there oh that's the,the what do you call this creepy cloth,okay don't worry i'm gonna tuck in these,these guys these,cords whenever we,get everything all put together but i,think,i'm gonna do like this this book,this happy halloween book,and maybe a jack-o'-lantern or maybe,this,we can use this again we used this last,time i'm really trying to do something,different,we used this guy this might be too big,no it's not but,so here's a smaller one i kind of want,something either way that will light up,down here,so probably a jack-o'-lantern i think,like that i think that one's gonna be,the one what do you think,maybe something else next to it like a,little figurine,thoughts can you even see it,no,it's too high it needs to be something,low i'm thinking it's gonna be something,like this,it's gonna but i just don't know if i,like that orange i think we're gonna,stick with just this simple guy but,what i might do is,we might add a little guy,so maybe that's what was missing,just a cute little,something,maybe,possibly that guy maybe this guy,this guy might be too tall,because he might match the other oh no,that's really good,i think i like that,no what have i done,i'm not mad at it,i love it okay moving on to the other,one,by the way this little guy here i got,from michael's uh was it last year or a,couple years ago i can't remember but,this is one of my favorite pieces from,michael's,from their vintage line i didn't see,these this year,but also my michaels hadn't put out the,vintage stuff yet so i need to go check,maybe we'll do that tomorrow i'm happy,with this i felt like there was,something that was that needed to go,here i don't know some of you may,disagree out there that's cool with me,let me know what do you think you like,it jack-o'-lanterns spider webs a little,bit of spooky stuff all right we're,moving on to the other nightstand we're,going to my side i know exactly what i'm,doing to kind of go with this but,different,all right we're gonna do the same thing,kind of fold it over,itself and then kind of split it i just,move it kind of split it aside,kind of drape it to where i can still,open,the nightstand,i'm going to do,something similar so i'm going to do the,same lamp,and the same jack-o-lantern stack from,michael's by the way last year so we're,going to keep,things symmetrical looking,but i'm going to throw in something a,little bit different,on my side,i was thinking we could do,instead of the,clown guy,we could do a little witch on my side,like that is that how it went,i feel like this one is so much,smaller than the other one oddly,or no i know what it is it's this,freaking,branchy tree is kind of deformed or,something i don't know,perfect,love it okay i'm so,excited about this i was a little,nervous about changing themes because i,was so dead set on beetlejuice but now,i'm so excited because i'm all into this,whole halloween thing i'm feeling so,good about it,um all right,i'm just gonna put some,of these which one i want to do these,little twinkle lights,um,i have orange all right sorry yellow and,red sometimes i like to do red if,this may not work on this one,because it can look a little too red,yeah it's a little red,um,but i either use red or yellow,and i kind of like this guy i think,that's cute okay what are we gonna do,for the bottom,this,halloween box,either this one this is halloween i kind,of wanted to say halloween but this one,says witch's handbook,kind of like this one because it's,orange so i might use that one,um,these ones these darker orange ones look,better with a red,light in them,i feel like,they just look a little bit more,orange this one up here i'm fine having,i don't know am i fine do i want this,instead i don't know why am i like this,no i like the lighter one here,all right this is how my side looks a,little witch instead of a pumpkin head,clown person so i'm all excited about,this,all right so it's later in the night i,took off my pillow so i could do one,last thing i'm also going to move means,off of her bed so she's safe,but there's one more thing i wanted to,do then i have like a hammer on my bed,um so there's this thing that i bought,at target it's this,jack-o'-lantern guy it's it's really,small first of all that's my first,concern with it is that this is gonna be,way too small for this huge space up,there i mean the whole wall is enormous,so,i i know this is a really small piece,but in my mind okay this is what it,looks like if you can see on the box,these little slit things all around the,sides,so and it has a light inside so it's,supposed to just like send out these,raised,pumpkin rays all over like this really,cool pattern on the wall,so my hope was even though this is,really tiny that it will,project a bigger like um the pattern,will be larger on the wall so it will,appear to be a larger piece is my hope,and in my mind that's how it's gonna,work but um either way i'm gonna hang it,up if it doesn't look good if it looks,like it's teeny tiny on this huge wall,then we're not gonna keep it up but i,was waiting until nighttime which it's,currently night time to put this up so,we could watch it and see it,live in action all right i'm gonna mess,up this entire bed and don't worry i put,fresh socks on so it wouldn't,you know be all gross on my bed,all right i gotta figure out,where the best place it is so tiny,on this huge wall,and i thought about putting like a,wreath or a frame around it but,honestly,i'm afraid it's going to disrupt like,the pattern on it,okay should we turn let's turn off the,lights hold on,make the magic happen where's my hat,what'd i do my hat,i won't put on this one,um,yeah it's tiny right too tiny,too small,i think it looks really cute but is it,just random do you think,all right i feel like that's the best,we're gonna get the best visual but it,is pretty bright,or i don't know why it's not what if we,do this,i was gonna do a wreath i guess i could,go get a wreath and see how it's gonna,look i know it's a mess right now but we,made this wreath last year,and i'll uh,i'll link,our diy gothic wreath,in the description,but i'm going to do this,is that cuter,i don't know i can't see is it cute,i'll try it,better worse,the same,i think that's kind of cute but you,can't see the rays now,that are coming off of it,i mean it's a little high i think but,it's not like if you see the rest of the,ceiling like look,if you see the rest of the ceiling it's,right in the center we are we'll,continue to work on it and then i'm,going to do a halloween,house tour this year where i walk,through everything so any changes i made,or anything i did,um you'll see those or anything i added,i'll do that at the very end closer to,halloween we'll just do a total,walkthrough so we can see everything,all put together and then of course i'm,still doing my decorating videos i just,didn't say that,means you're bad,i'm going to fix this,really quickly hopefully i can remember,what i did,this,and i think we could ghost,i kind of want to get some creepy cloths,okay hear me out hear me out,all right i got some new creepy claws i,kind of want to try something means hold,on just a minute,uh oh i accidentally grabbed gray,and grab these i'm wondering if i could,do a little canopy looking,thing like a creepy,canopy kind of situation,i don't think this is going to be long,enough,no wait yes it will because i think it,splits again,oh there you go all right,i think,you can drink this over like this,and then,how does does that look cool or no,or does it need to come out more like,this,or like this,i like that,is it cool or no,cheesy,should put a nail on the wall do we care,we're redoing this room anyway,why not,does it look cool,that kind of looks cool though right,try this other side,i think i can just hook it on that,halloween canopy i feel like it needs,like a little hook here or something oh,is this it,here,or doesn't need to come out more like,this,like that,oh god,we're just going all in this year no big,deal,why is it not in focus what's happening,yes,i don't know we're gonna put under it is,this even,do we care,no,we're gonna do it anyways,hopefully it's even,if not,you just attach it to the creepy cloth,bring it out just slightly,we just made this so extra i don't even,know what to say about this,why not a whole,canopy it kind of looks like bat wings,yes,oh it makes me kind of want to make them,bat wings now like,bring them up you know,i don't know we may end up doing that i,don't know we're just going to go with,this you know sometimes you just get all,into the halloween excitement you just,black out and make a bunch of bat wings,on your wall you know what i mean i feel,like we should like,bring down the lights a little bit is,there another light we can turn on to,let's get the hole,all right so that is it we are,officially done decorating my bedroom,for halloween got the rest of the house,to go but we have officially decorated,in here i had no idea,it was going to turn out like this whole,situation so this is officially my,halloween 2021 bedroom i oh,what is up it's risa welcome to my,channel for today's video as you can,tell by the title it is going to be,decorating my room for halloween i'm so,excited to do this video because as you,may know or you may not know i did do,this last year as you can see by my bed,i did a lot of damage so i went to,target i got a lot of stuff,from target bed bath and beyond and i,got a couple of stuff amazon for like,this and like,a candle that's in the bag,so if you want to see how i decorate my,room make sure you keep on watching and,give this video a thumbs up and hit that,subscribe button because it's what it's,free okay so let's get right into the,video i don't know if i want to put this,like,on a desk,kind of since there's a lot of stuff,already going on in this area so might,as well add to it we can put this one up,okay so this one is a little witch with,a light on it and i thought this was so,cute to add some color and light into my,room,tea lights and i got it in orange this,time last time for,um halloween i didn't get the orange one,i just had the regular white candle but,i got the orange one this time,so i might add some more stuff i don't,know if i should keep placing the,pumpkins what did i just say i don't,know if i should keep placing the,candles all around my room,maybe two just like on the outside,just like that,i don't want to overdo the candles,my,oh my god i just dropped it i'll put,some on my,eyebrows,i need three,and then i'll put it,around,my,table,maybe like that and then i'll place,something in the middle of that,um okay maybe i can put this skull,because i did get a,skull i was so shocked when i saw this,at target oh that is perfect this,reminds me of scooby-doo spooky island,please tell me you remember that this is,giving me those vibes,i'm obsessed i also have this this is,like a,just a cute little decoration for candy,i'm just gonna put a bunch of candy in,here even though i'm not gonna eat it in,my room because you know,crumbs and ants i don't need that in my,room okay i don't i don't know if i,should put it here and take this off,oh that's so cute kind of have it like a,little station for candy and then maybe,i'll get,one more i'll get one more candle,i have this,witch house kind of hide my,essential oil thing back here and then i,can keep this light,right there,it lights up i didn't even know that,this pumpkin lights up i just got it,because it was cute,there's like led lights inside of it,oh my goodness so i got this from amazon,it's a little thing but i don't think,i'm gonna put it up it's so ugly,what is this,what is that,and you know what i,what was that,okay,james,wall hanger but we're not gonna put it,on the wall as you can see up here i,have a,little hanger thing,go ahead and place that,that's trick or treat,this is coming together so well i think,i'm gonna put candy in the bucket now,because like why not um,it's open,uh because i might have ate one,yesterday already,and then we have some kitkats,kind of mix it up a little bit and then,i'll just keep these for myself okay my,mom wanted to help me decorate stuff,over here make it look cute,those are nice yeah these are cute look,how they look,it's like what target target,got the lights icicle lights with the,spiders,oh this is what it looks like,i was thinking of over here,we decided to put the extension cord,it's fine,i'm just gonna leave it like that,because whatever,hello cases,it says halloween,and then,there's a witch,and,happy halloween so we'll pick the cutest,of these two,yep,happy halloween right in the middle,happy room all right so this is the,door it just says trick or treat has a,bunch of bats i think this is so cute,this is what it looks like this is the,purple witch,just looks like this um when you first,enter my room and then you come over,here towards my tv i have my lava lamp,which house with a bunch of candles and,a pumpkin candles inside of a halloween,bucket with candy i'm gonna go ahead and,click it,that i may see your future,my advice to you is,if you're too,open-minded,brains may fall out,i have some led lights around my closet,as well as behind my tv,in the same color orange with a bunch of,bats on my closet let me know if you,know what i'm watching right now,if you don't know it's okay i still love,you and my brother used to watch this,like every halloween i have a,gold and black pumpkin,pumpkin and then another one same style,and then i have this skull this one,is so freaking cool like this is,literally the coolest thing it has,little bulbs on the bottom that's purple,and a bunch of bats hanging around it so,i think it's so cute and especially at,night you see that it kind of like,the glitter,is just reflecting beautifully on it,that's what i really love about this,yeah this is gonna be my nightlight when,i'm in my room chillin but that's what,it looks like on my bedside table,you come over here,i have my pillows so i just have happy,halloween trick or treat,and you go up i have my la,sign i but i just covered it in,spiders that are lights as well,so,this is what the spiders look like,just has,a little bit of glitter on them,so i think they're really cute,skincare fridge it's from kylie skin and,i have a bat on it pumpkin,these two and then another pumpkin and,then this big old pumpkin with the,skeleton body i thought it was so,freaking nice and it lights up on the,inside look how cool that is,and then i have two candles again more,candles a bunch of them just scattered,all over my vanity,pumpkin pumpkin,and yeah,i also have,a bat on my mirror so if i take a mirror,selfie,i might watch twilight for like the,hundredth time even though i watched the,entire saga last month,but it's a new month so i might watch it,again let me know in what is up you guys welcome back to,another decorate with me video today we,are decorating the remainder of the,house we are going to decorate the,living room the mantel,and the powder room as well and i gotta,switch out all of the scents so right,now i'm switching out the oils and the,wall diffusers as well as our towels and,just everything so that it is swapped,out so that it is spooky season goodness,and everything has all the vibes so i,got this new wall plug which i thought,was so cute so i switched out everything,in the powder room and i'll share more,of that in a future house tour whenever,i do a decorated house tour i switched,out the table runner which is new as of,this year and i love it so much it adds,a ton of ambiance which is so cute so,then from there i cleaned up the living,room i tossed all the pillows into the,living room that are all halloween,themed,subbed out my regular coasters for these,very very cute ray done pumpkin coasters,and we finished off hotel transylvania 3,because we had started it in a previous,video,and then i wanted to do the coffee table,now this piece i just want to say i,think is my favorite piece of decor for,the season,at first i was confused not gonna lie,and this was sent to me by a very good,friend kelly and i had no idea what she,was talking about and then i received it,and i thought it was the greatest thing,i had ever seen,second place this guy,so between the mummy and the fish tank i,just,i'm so happy so this is a smaller,version of the mummy that i had from,last year so he fit perfectly on the,mantel i wasn't sure how i was gonna do,the mantel yet and just like in other,videos i usually refer back to my videos,from the previous year to see how i did,things but i tried not to do that this,year just you know to give it a fresh,flow and do things a bit differently,usually i have this guy on the mantel,and he ended up actually going elsewhere,so there's a lot of things that moved,around i love this put a spell on you,book and i feel like it goes perfectly i,got this eyeball from michael's last,year i think it was and i think they do,still sell it and it just reminded me of,the hocus pocus vibes and the book so,those go together on the mantel and,these little candle holders i got them,in a pack of four off of amazon not a,halloween decoration but just goes so,well with these candles that you just,screw the bottom you put two batteries,in there you twist the bottom and it,turns on kind of like a real flickering,candle just no fire hazard and then the,other thing that i do is i will put real,candles but i'll show you how i make,them look real without actually lighting,them just because i have cobwebs and,stuff all around let's not light the,candles and also why so i have had this,particular candle the gather candle i,love it it's a really old bath and body,works candle that i love the smell of i,just don't want to burn it,and then these ropes i've had them for a,while they were actually just cut off of,an old laundry hamper that we had,upstairs and i thought that they were,really cool they kind of looked like a,noose so i just tucked them underneath,of a few heavier pieces and i just kind,of twist it around and it really does,just kind of have that vibe but this,year we took the mantle up a notch so,i'm really excited so i did some cobwebs,i actually had to pull them off,afterwards and restart which was the,most,frustrating thing cobwebs are not an,easy thing to do i feel like less is,more and the more that you can pull it,thin the better it looks if you keep it,too thick it doesn't look that great so,i was kind of struggling with it and it,did look good but i had to take it down,because i'm going to show you what i got,i got such good finds this year at,walmart of all places so i ended up,doing what i usually do i do the cobwebs,from the top of the tv on the left side,down there's a trick to this and i've,shared this with you guys before if you,start on the left top side and work your,way diagonally to the right to the eye,it will just look better so when you're,decorating if you can do things that way,it will just look better so top left,side of the tv cobwebs come down all the,way down to the bottom right on the,opposite side so i filled this sucker,with cobwebs and it's too bad that i,needed to take it apart and restart so,fresh start hollow wishes the next night,we made a margarita i wanted to share,this with you guys i've been sharing it,a lot on my instagram but i started, my margaritas with tahin and,it's basically like a chili lime,flavoring and the other thing i added,for halloween was some black,sea salt and i also mix it with some oak,smoked sea salt and then i just for,filler i put in some pink himalayan rock,salt so i just put that mixture together,in this little margarita,shaker situation bowl topper whatever,you would call it and that way i'm good,to go every single time that i want to,make a margarita now the way that i make,a margarita is ancho chile reyes mezcal,lime juice love this quick lime bottle,and some fresh i say fresh pickled,because it's handmade fresh pickled,jalapeno juice and i put that in there,and it is delicious it's spicy but,because it's pickled and not fresh,jalapeno it doesn't kill me as much so,this is one of the finds that i got at,walmart these i think were like two,dollars each you put the batteries in,you twist them just like the michael's,ones but they're two dollars and they,have the little stand they're so cool,so i put those on the mantel alongside,some,fake candles which i will show you in a,second got to replace the batteries on,those and then i did some fairy lights,as well but look at how cute these,little candle sticks are by the way i,love this ghostbusters the ones with the,one with the girls the music is so good,and it's hilarious so these are the,flickering candles and this is how i,make the real candles look fake i just,put a little tea light in there but the,the walmart candlesticks i was very,impressed and there's like a little,cobweb on there super cute i got this,last year that little tombstone i got,that at spirit halloween put them right,in the middle between the two candles,this was the other find i got at walmart,what,so i got this nightmare before christmas,bag of jack skellington's and then i got,this for like i think it said 398 and,that's canadian so it's this black mesh,comes with a bunch of bats i did not use,the bats but you totally can but this,mesh i only needed,this piece because i cut it that like,along the long way like the length i cut,it in half and i draped it,this i just feel like this made it look,so much better and it was three dollars,so i draped this across the front of the,mantel and this was why i had to kind of,pull off the cobwebs,and i just feel like it made the rope,pop so much more it made the candles pop,it made oh and then i draped the rope,through this guy's hand that hand i'm,pretty sure i got him at michael's also,dead man's toe candle is from last,year's halloween,hocus pocus party which,we can't talk about the fact that,there's no hocus pocus this year it is,the biggest disappointment of my life,alongside the fact that there is no,hotel transylvania 4 what happened so,sad okay i did a battery haul from,amazon i get all my batteries from,amazon so much cheaper so these as well,as the one in the last video that i,shared with you guys they all take these,types of batteries like basically what,you'd put in a watch so i subbed out all,the batteries that were in these these,had lasted me quite a few halloweens but,i love the vibe of these they're like a,metallic like they're dripping,so they go perfectly on the mantel and i,put those in all the candle holders as,well as topping any of the real candles,with them so when the lights are out it,actually looks like the candle itself is,on when it's not at all,so then i moved into my office oh i,didn't say that we were going to,decorate my office we're decorating my,office i had a very like harvesty kind,of look to the office to keep with the,boho theme so i had that really cute,gnome an extra pumpkin that little,pumpkin is from michaels they still do,sell it,and i had this cute little mickey,succulent that i paid way too much for,he's from box lunch but he's the tiniest,little thing and then i subbed out,anything that i had as a pencil holder,or scissors holder i used my measuring,cups for that i had this cute mummy and,i was going to put these orange candle,sticks but they didn't fit at all so i,used the blood dripping ones you can get,those at spirit halloween they're really,cool i used them last year and you just,light them and they kind of drip red,it's really cool added some lights,my gnome,snow globe which is really cute next to,the rock salt lamp and i've got my,little pencil case pencil holder i love,this pumpkin,holder i use it for my remotes and then,i had more fairy lights in here this,pumpkin was a diy project i did two,years ago i think it's all it was all,filmed so you can go find that video and,then i just added a couple little,details of books i really want to read,that super excited to read those books,and then my little jack and sally this,guy's a giveaway by the way next week,that stitch is gonna be the folded some blankets put some,pillows away i got carl a ghost host bed,from our not so scary collection and i,just want to say i don't know if he,knows that mommy made the bed for him,but he loves this bed so we have the,same one as part of our christmas,collection and he has that one,he loves it,it's a it's a bougie bed for a little,dude um i did end up getting the,succulent head the mummy sucker is a,skeleton,love that and then this witch's brew i,put some black moss in the bottom from,michael's with a little picks picks and,sticks of some pumpkins and it just,turned out super super well i'm not,quite done with this spot of the house,but i do love it i'm super happy with,the way that everything turned out and,honestly if you guys loved this type of,video and just want more DECORATE MY ROOM FOR FALL/HALLOWEEN 2022 🍂

and we're back to decorating Home Goods,Target and Amazons why am I out of,breath for just holding these bags I,gotta work out but decorated my room,twice before so I'll leave a little,sticker up in the corner,um so you can go wash those too if you,want let's decorate my room,I have is this trick-or-treat I got this,trick-or-treat pillow so this is gonna,be very simple we're just gonna place it,on the bed,nothing to it,um I think I might just put it here,done after a trick-or-treat sign that,we're gonna place on my door because,when you come in you gotta know what,you're expecting right this little tab,then we're just gonna do like this oh I,already have one,it's right there already,well I don't need that,when I decorate my room I like to listen,to Halloween music I like to listen to,Calling All the Monsters by China Anne,McClain all right that's my go-to and,we'll always be my go-to and I love it,so Alexa Alexa play Calling All the,Monsters trying to add the clean,I couldn't find that on Amazon music,no okay,old school,it's a mix of spooky and cute,I've read Verdi in this uh atmosphere,oh it's easy,that was quick and easy should I film a,video in the spot so I'm gonna clean up,everything,on the floor because it looks like a hot,mess I I see you something lurking in,the dark,to describe me in a color what would the,color be,right,what a food,macaroni cheese okay,so much,season what season am I your fall,hobby like Hobbies like whatever so you,don't get no head sitting your eyes up,in a chair I'll go with that watch TVs,that's a hobby watch TV any specific TV,show you have in mind,um uh rash what's the name Big Time Rush,um,my wife and kids oh I love that show,song like song about weekend movie,instances all right uh Step Brothers,look what I got from Target tell me,these aren't the cutest slippers so,they're like house slippers,Target is stuffing up their game this,year because I did not see these,two years ago when I was I was going,shopping,let's switch to iPhone cam because you,cannot see anything with this camera,this is what you see we'll start on this,side pumpkins when I was at the store I,thought of a really cool idea of putting,some makeup in like this little,container the top so you can just kind,of grab it like this and then this is,like some makeup products in here that I,use don't know if I'm Gonna Keep makeup,in here,um or if I'll like find somewhere else,to put it and like put maybe like my,brushes or something but I definitely,want to use this for like something you,come over here this is kind of like,where my skincare is,um we have two trick-or-treat pumpkins,two candles and then a gold skull and,then I'll just press this button,oh,you wish to know what lies and it has,eyeballs in it as you can see and then I,just have a fall video playing and then,right here we just have some candles,lined oh we have some candles lined up,here so it's basically a table top tell,me that isn't cool freaking ghosts,like what,a tabletop like projecting ghosts on the,freaking wall,I like that the ghosts aren't too scary,okay I yeah I get scared,and they're like happy ghosts this one,is really cool because you could just oh,it already turned on they just spin they,do have music but it's so loud,and this is where my bed is obviously so,over here we just have a skull and it,has books so we have two candles here,and then this is back again it made an,appearance last year and it is back what,is this,The Witch she's up there so that's what,it looks like and then that's what my,bed looks like I have a trick-or-treat,pillow you know I'm reading I can read,my book laying in the bed got the little,thing,I've got the ghosts flying around,and it's like a Vibe I'm gonna light the,candle,so yeah it says happy Halloween just,walk in a Bath Bed and Beyond was that,what it is no Bath and Body Works just,walk into Bath and Body Works and like,this is what it smells like pretty much,Angelo,this side the quality is so bad because,I have to film on my phone so,I'm so sorry,let me know what your favorite part of,my room is,crazy

decorating series kind of,like i did last year where i kind of,broke it up a little bit,today we are decorating my favorite,place to start,which is my mantle my living room area,so like my i have like throw pillows and,little side tables and my coffee table,and then of course my favorite and then,of course my favorite part of all,which is my mantel is like the center of,everything so excited to halloween,i have to bring my halloween decorations,up i did have some,halloween decorations out you can see a,little pillow and some jack-o-lanterns,there,but i had just brought those down from,my halloween decor haul,after i had filmed that and those are,all new pieces so here i'm just bringing,up,all my halloween decorations and getting,them in one place,so they're all ready to go all right the,next thing i'm going to do is i'm going,to start going through my halloween,decorations and getting all of my,decorations out of the,little totes and uh any decorations i,got new this year,and since i knew i was doing a,jack-o'-lantern theme on my mantel,and in my living room area i just took,all the jack-o-lanterns anything i found,in the totes anything new,and just started putting them out on my,dining room table so as i started,decorating my mantel,i could just have all different shapes,and sizes and things on,jack-o-lanterns things with,jack-o'-lanterns on it in it around it,whatever it is i could easily pull from,all the jack-o'-lantern selection here,and have everything nice and laid out so,i could see it uh made my life 5 000,times easier i think i'm gonna do this,with every single theme this year,because it was just way easier just to,have everything i needed for that theme,laid out on a table all right and after,i'm done unloading my totes,i also kind of fold up any tissue paper,bubble wrap or any of anything else that,i use to protect each item and i will,put them back into the tote nicely so,i'll make my life 500 times easier when,i'm going and packing this back up,i also go ahead and get rid of any,scraggly pieces that definitely cannot,be reused because they're,just in too bad of shape so i go ahead,and do this here so i don't have to do,it later,also side note as i was doing this i saw,this thing on the floor and it turns out,it was the headless horseman foot,that i had been looking for forever i,guess it had fallen off before maybe,last halloween or something,and it was in one of these totes i,officially,found the headless horseman foot though,if you know that you know,because i was looking everywhere for it,and had to talk all about it as we were,out halloween decor hunting when i,said that the headless horseman lost his,soul somewhere,it was in one of these totes apparently,okay anyways i'm finishing unwrapping,any halloween stuff that i'll be using,um anything that's like outdoor or for,my dracula table,or other sections of my house that i'm,not quite unwrapping yet,i'll go ahead and set those aside for,now and then once i move on to the other,areas i'll go through those totes i just,start running out of surface space to,put things,so i just go kind of theme by theme all,right next we're moving on to my,favorite,area to decorate ever it is my mantel,and so i'm getting everything cleared,off that i had up there before,this is kind of how i was decorating,before or just at least for now,it's kind of a dark aesthetic,monochromatic kind of vibe lots of,blacks and whites and grays,and my new headless horseman i'm also,wiping down my mantle i've done a,good deep clean because i love getting,everything nice and clean before i,decorate,um but here i'm just making sure i get,everything wiped down any glitter that,had gotten loose or any,new dust particles or whatever i'm just,doing a quick wipe down,all right so now for the fun part which,is decorating,and i had really no idea what the layout,was going to look like i,knew for sure i wanted a full-on,jack-o-lantern extravaganza,just all jack-o-lanterns everywhere but,i didn't know how i was going to do the,layout what i was going to do,but the fun part for me is playing,around with so many different things,so like i put the stacked pumpkins i got,from michael's put those on a pedestal,that i had gotten from at home a couple,years ago put the little clown,jack-o-lantern guys i got from where'd i,get those home goods this year the,mercury glass jack-o-lanterns that i got,from five below,i threw in some branchy trees that i got,from target,but i just love mixing different heights,different textures different levels of,things,and sometimes i like things really,symmetrical and sometimes i don't really,care like i'll add different types of,spooky houses or different types of,lanterns and things like that,although i typically like the shades and,the colors of orange to be more balanced,so you won't see like all lighter orange,on one side and darker orange on the,other i really try to keep it balanced,on either side,and then the centerpiece this year of,course i had to go with the headless,horseman and i'm so excited that the one,this year is bigger and better because i,feel like it actually fits better with,the mantel because it is larger so it,actually fills the space a little bit,better,and i feel like i needed some more,texture in the background it just looked,a little flat to me so i added,some of the spooky trees into the,mercury glass,jack-o-lanterns i got from five below,the spooky trees are from target dollar,spot by the way,so i just added a couple of different,spooky trees in the background i feel,like it kind of added just a little bit,of something spooky extra,uh to it and just some extra texture as,well,especially since sometimes those,jack-o-lanterns are like smooth and,round so you don't get a lot of,extra lines or texture and also,i'm not gonna lie i tried out a,different centerpiece,i almost put this jack-o'-lantern,lantern there but,it just didn't i didn't wasn't feeling,it i just felt like the headless,horseman holding up the jack-o-lantern,is just the perfect,vibe exactly what i was going for next,up i amp up the spooky vibes by adding a,creepy cloth or like a mantle,scarf kind of situation this one is from,target,you can get them from dollar tree but i,prefer this one from target for my,mantel because it's much larger,and then i'm kind of just trapping it,down with different heavy items on,the mantel so it will kind of just pin,down the scarf and so i can get a nice,looking drapey look,and then i was really really torn about,what to do on the sides i had,the spider candelabra things originally,those are from home goods,but then i decided to put some of these,spooky trees,over on each side and then these these,are from target a couple years ago,and then put a cat a black cat sitting,on top of a pumpkin,i have two of those one from last year,one from this year and honestly those,branchy trees kind of made my mantle,look whiter which i really loved,and then i just made some finishing,touches put a couple lanterns in there,put some knickknacks like this little,pumpkin head guy from michael's this,year,and then a little pumpkinhead which,clown person from last year,and then i started moving some things,around because i forgot that i like to,hang my happy halloween sign,so i got a new happy halloween sign this,year from michaels,and this one wasn't quite working out,because the,the string on it is much shorter so i,might have to just get a longer string,and do it that way if i want to use this,one,so i have one i've used the last several,years so i kind of was wanting to mix it,up but,but sometimes things are just tried and,true and this is one of them,so it's my favorite happy halloween sign,this is from target several years ago,and i struggle every year to get it hung,up because i attach it to the little,branchy,tree thing and so uh every year i,struggle with this,and it ends up falling down 500 times,until i finally get it,and then from there i usually just,tinker with a couple of things maybe,move a couple things around or try a,couple things out,and here's how the mantle turned out,which i'm really really excited about,the jack-o'-lantern theme and to me it,just screams halloween,love the different oranges and the,different sizes of jack-o'-lanterns so,uh make sure you stick around till the,end though if you want to see it all lit,up because that's when the real magic,happens,all right next we're moving on to the,areas next to my fireplace,these big old chairs i threw a little,faux fur blanket,over the top added this,throw pillow with a spooky house on it i,got from home goods this year and a,little boo,pillow that i got from target a couple,years ago or maybe last year i don't,remember,and then i started working on this,little side table and i had this little,stacked pumpkin situation that i got,from home goods and a spooky tree from,target,and i just it just didn't feel spooky,enough for me i even tried the little,headless horseman snow globe,so i grabbed myself a creepy cloth i get,these at,a dollar tree every year and this is,like the exact thing that i love them,for,so then i put the spooky tree back up,this little bat pedestal from michael's,a couple years ago,my stacked pumpkin situation and then i,couldn't decide what i wanted to put on,there but i decided last minute,that i wanted it my little spooky ghost,mug that i got from target this year and,i put,some little like a little bouquet of,roses that i got from,dollar tree just kind of stuffed them in,the little mug,and this is how that little area turned,out this little nook,okay so moving on to the other corner i,threw another faux fur,blanket this bat blanket from target a,couple years ago,another one of those spooky house,pillows from home goods and then i,couldn't figure out what throw pillow i,wanted but thought this little,jack-o'-lantern pillow would be perfect,for the jack-o-lantern theme so i got,that at walmart last year i think then,for the side table i have this vase,i don't even remember where i got that,base but the branchy situations in it i,got from michael's last year,and this little skull which i got from,amazon,and little jack-o'-lantern that's on,some coasters and that's that little,area,then on the floor next to my fireplace i,once again wanted to do a full on,jack-o'-lantern extravaganza,so i have some jack-o'-lanterns most,these are from target or a couple are,from,at home the jack-o'-lantern lantern,thing the orange lantern is from at home,the spooky house is from home goods last,year,and by the way in case you're wondering,if i'm wearing spooky socks with,orthopedic grandpa sandals the answer is,yes i mean how else would i decorate,no okay so anyways i also added here,this skull,it's like a skull vase kind of,thing or just ceramic piece or something,that i got from target last year and put,that up on a pedestal,so it was a little bit higher and then i,moved some of the branches over,to balance it out and then i added these,spider,candle stick holder things but then i,put a little mini,jack-o-lantern on top and just added,little things here and there,just little jack-o'-lanterns to make it,look almost like a little pumpkin patch,situation so here's how the area that we,just worked on how everything turned out,with the chairs and the floor,and all the little pumpkin patch,situation it's starting to feel like,halloween up in here,also i spot a little chihuahua in a,chair all right moving on my coffee,table i have this little ceramic piece,with hands,i played around with a couple other,pieces but once again added a spooky mug,with a little dollar tree floral piece,and then my headless horseman snow globe,and then a little,succulent thing i got from target last,year moving onto my couch i always have,to have blankets over my couch because,my dogs are getting to the age now where,they,just want to pee on everything that's,just the la um maybe it's tmi but that's,just my life,right now with 16 year old dogs but,anyways i threw a couple of pillows on,there the faux fur skull pillows are,from michael's a couple years ago,the pattern kind of checkered looking,pillow is from ikea and the trick or,treat pillow is from,target dollar spot this year all right,so the last place i'm going to decorate,in my living room is this little,shelving area,this shelving system is normally in my,closet it's actually from ikea,but i normally keep my jeans on and some,sweaters in this little shelving,area but i bring it down this time of,year so i can decorate on it,and put little knickknacks in my little,carolers and anything that doesn't,really belong in any sort of theme,or just little things that i picked up,here and there like little,jack-o'-lantern head things or little,witchy things,and here i'm just arranging my carolers,and i've told this story before but i'll,just be really quick in case you're new,here but,my grandparents collected carolers and,when i was a little girl i always loved,looking at all the carolers and naming,them and telling their story so i kind,of carried on that tradition,and each little cubby of this shelving,system i usually do,just a different theme for each one so,this one has these kind of dracula,devil looking kids and then this other,one has a little spooky house and a,couple little vintage knickknacks that i,picked up from michael's this year,and so that's how the top row turned out,so for the bottom row,i put this really interesting caroler my,stepmom got me this one,uh has a cat a black cat and then a,witch,writing on top of the black cat i'm not,sure about it but i love it,um also on this little cubby i did a,little ghost,and pumpkin theme and that is that row,so this is what the entire little,shelving area ended up looking like,i have all my carolers my little,knick-knacks out i love,decorating these little cubbies every,single year and kind of trying some new,things,i'm also really loving that vintage one,on the left this year with a little,spooky house,i don't know but i'm i'm feeling it all,right so that is it for the first,episode,of this halloween decorate with me we,conquered the living room,and hope you guys enjoyed DECORATING MY ROOM FOR FALL/HALLOWEEN 🍂 🎃

what is up you guys it's risa and for,today's video i'm going to be doing a,fall room makeover i'm super excited for,this video because i,never decorate my room like ever so this,is the first time that i'm actually,going to like,make my room feel like fall get that,fall,spirit because i love halloween,so much like just the vibe is just,it's it before i get into this video,make sure you guys coming out with,content,okay you don't want to miss out,so it is the next day from the last clip,that you saw so i'm about to,start decorating my room so i'm not,really trying to like change up,my my dress or my,curtain or anything like that but since,they're so easy to just flip i'm just,gonna,flip it to the black side,now we got that done i'm probably gonna,go ahead and do,the lights behind there so i have the,witch light,the ghost the bat so i'm gonna go ahead,and,start putting these behind my bed so i'm,gonna start on this side,first and i have a plug back there,already i have an extension cord,this i can just literally set,right in the middle and it looks like,that now i'm gonna go plug this in,so like i said i'm not gonna remove my,curtains because it's gray and,i just don't want to do that extra stuff,because,i don't want to so these are the lights,right here i have pumpkin spider bat,and ghost so i don't know if all of them,could fit,on here but we're gonna try it out i'm,out of breath,just from doing that,one of them fell off a pumpkin just fell,off,oh we can put it back on no big deal,i don't know who it is we're good it's,just the mailman,let's get back to work so i'm gonna,start decorating now,and then i'm gonna hide the battery pack,underneath,again and have it like that let's see,how this looks like,without the light so i'm gonna turn on,both battery packs and see how it looks,like,i'm going to stop right here so we're,going to take a break on this,but what i think i'm going to do is i'm,going to add lights on my mirror,i'm gonna add some lights maybe i can,add the ghost,all right come on now don't,stop getting tangled,that's cute,i think it looks you know pretty cute,so put the spiders around my,closet door instead my mom's coming in,to join the party,we're going to have it a decorating,party,what are you doing first mom's already,putting,some leaves around i'm going to go like,this,make it look like this oh that's cute,you see what happens when,my mom comes and help me it looks nicer,okay we're just gonna do salt beige,we're taking the white pillows out,because you can't even see the candles,so i'm gonna take this out and then put,my halloween pillows,on top instead,i'm literally just going to place this,like all around my room so i'm going to,put in light,especially on the closet because that's,where the spiders are and i'm going to,put them around my mirror,but i'm going to go ahead and clean up,my room because i have a lot of like,papers this is what the spider was,looking like,literally a glob um,yeah like that,so i'm gonna place it like right,like that,okay you guys so this is the official,reveal of my room i'm gonna go ahead and,open my door,yes sir when you come to my right,you see a bunch of candles lined up,with leaves underneath as you can see i,have three leaves under each candle,that's what my vanity looks like and,then when you come to my mirror,you see i have these ghosts here with,spider webs with a spider and it just,looks like that going all across,and it ends at the bottom here,here i am and then you come over here to,my curtains like i said i didn't change,it because i feel like it wouldn't,really matter,because i have lights on top and it,looks like that's that's what the,curtains look like,and then when you come over here on my,bed i have this trick-or-treat pillow,happy halloween and a spider so that's,what my bed looks like,very very cute and then you come on top,of my bed,there's a bat here with the candle,a bunch of candles leaves literally,lined up the whole,dresser with a little ghost we're gonna,come over here so this is where,if i'm laying in bed this is what i see,so as you can see i have,led lights behind my tv that i put up i,have led lights behind my tv,and i just have the color orange which,here's the remote right here so i can,just change it,from red green,blue and white whatever color really but,i just kept it at orange,just for the vibe candles again,literally lined up i just have to sit,back and relax thing that i have to my,closet,tomorrow i'm just gonna like cut that,and just shift them over so,i can open it but that's pretty much,what it's gonna look like as you can see,they're spiders,going all across my door,looks like that and then when you come,on this side i have a pillow that says,happy halloween,with two candles here and then i have,this,witch hat in the corner with a candle,light again,and then a bunch of candles so,this is how my room looks like from this,angle,pretty much my room and then i'll show,you,what it looks like with the light on,which for green so this is what it looks,like with green,and then i'll show you what it looks,like with red,red is my favorite i love red so i'm,going to Halloween Decorating — Best Spooky, Fun & Simple Ideas

we thought it'd be fun this year to,decorate a house for Halloween we've,never done this before so we were up for,the challenge we had this beautiful big,front porch to work with and we talked,about the direction we wanted to go in,and of course we wanted to keep it,tasteful and house and home style so we,began by throwing a drop sheet on the,chairs over there,yeah easy because everybody has a,painter's cloth downstairs or a white,sheet in the house yeah we got that kind,of ghostly abandoned look it's very next,we thought it would be fun to bring out,some antiques and play with on the porch,so we had a look around it was available,in the garage old rug yeah the old rug,was amazing yes that rusty table which,is and of course the rest are the better,right yeah it's not for sitting children,the swaddle rack which is creepy on its,own sort of felt like a tied down spider,yep,found a great garden shovel and a pick,we decided to bring in small decorative,pieces to sort of set a mood because the,porch is so big we had an opportunity to,create these little sort of moments and,we wanted it to feel sort of like an,outside party right yeah like you might,be handing out candy yeah you may be you,know sitting in possibly I love that we,didn't do the big pumpkin plastic bowl,for candy we went really pretty on this,and we found the beautiful pedestal,bowls in the mat glass very nice yeah,and love the crows that we had perched a,little bit everywhere because are so,easy to find all that little stuff so,easy to find right,it's just readily available,it can be stored every year we stuck,with an overall theme of dark colors a,lot of mad blog which kept it really,classy but there was that one hit of,orange with a classic jack-o'-lantern,which I did not want to do this year,right but I still wanted a pumpkin I had,this idea in mind for a great DIY so I,got a pumpkin which I carved out and,then I used a hole saw bit which I got a,home hardware we drilled some holes,through the pumpkin and then I got some,toy store rats which I poked through the,holes and looks really gross I think,it's fun oh yeah,I look like their answer maybe oh yeah,great yes I also loved what you did with,the bakery door I thought that was,really fun yeah that was again a super,easy DIY with Toy Story snakes this time,and we got a twig wreath which is,available everywhere airing the season,and we glued the snakes just with some,hot glue right onto the reason spray the,whole thing matte black and there you go,holiday tree you can also use it as a,centerpiece on,and keeping with our creepy scene you,had a great idea on what to do with,those bones,we didn't construct the skeleton know,that you were supposed to do instead we,just left it in pieces and shoved it in,some great old iron pots yeah on the,porch so fun for a finishing touch I,wanted to frame the entrance and instead,of using those cobwebs which tend to get,stuck or everything yeah a messy we,decide to go with ghostly cheesecloth,yeah which is available everywhere like,home hardware but in white it was just a,little too stark so I dyed them in some,black tea and it looked great yeah,perfectly ready I didn't think Halloween,could look this good,I agree I know it it was really,successful I thought the color of the,porch is beautiful to start with yeah,which was really great and then we,played off kind of the muddy greens,blacks then the color also came in in,the candy mm-hmm right the little house,of candy well yeah I mean the orders for,sure for the pumpkin our hero and we,still had some totally creepy stuff,happening right you know you have to,have your hella we have have some fun,yeah and you're at dusk you're at sea,here at night so you might as well play,up yeah the creepy right your height as,well play up the dark and the candles,and all those sort of moments absolutely,yeah there were really big impactful,moments in what that crazy oh it's a,great it was great yeah really great and,not garish right I know it's easy to go,off track at Halloween and buy,everything you see with glitter and,crazy colors but it's important if you,want to keep it classy to stick to a,theme which is what we did,yeah we talked about that I mean the,house is Victorian yes so we kept it,sort of like creepy antique antiques,like American Gothic yeah very classy,creepy does that work it's a new genre
