hi everyone welcome to my channel,if you're new around here my name is,lacey i am a,modern hedge witch i am a practicing,witch for 20 years,and today i am going to talk to you,about celebration ideas some things to,do and tips,for samhain now i'm coming to you from,in front of my witchy cabinet so if you,want to see a formal,formal tour of this leave me a comment,below and i will try to make that happen,i'm also coming to you with a very,pregnant belly oh,but before we get started i just want to,mention really quickly that uh the,naturally modern witch,spell book memberships have opened back,up we opened them up um for the new moon,for about a week,and this month we are focusing on,samhain,and the blue moon or the full moon that,is,most commonly known now as the hunter's,moon but there's tons of different names,for it,and i think it's great that we name the,moons for ourselves and the seasons for,ourselves,so you can absolutely check that out,i'll link it below but what i'm doing,for this particular month which is kind,of special i've never done this before,you don't have to join the membership,you can actually just go,and purchase and download the digital,spell book,pretty much any time that you want so i,have that and i also have witchcrafting,boxes,which pulls on the themes and the um,symbolism of samhain as well so you,would have to order that by the 25th to,get it in time,for samhain but i'm going to link,everything down below so that you can,check it out,all right so without further ado let's,talk about salmon,so samhain is a gaelic word,and it was originally a celtic festival,which marked the,end of the harvest season going into the,dark half of the year it marked winter,and it also marked the third and final,harvest the harvest of vine fruit,so you have three harvest festivals that,we celebrate in the wheel of the year,and that is the first one the harvest of,grain,the second one the harvest of tree fruit,nuts so like apples and pears,and well nuts and then the third one,which is the harvest of,vine fruit like pumpkins so that kind of,explains why,pumpkins and gourds and those sort of,things are really popular this time of,year,so this begins the season of winter,or the season of rest because this is a,time when the earth begins to die down,at least here in the northern hemisphere,it's also thought that this,is the time of year when the veils,between the spirit world,and our world are the thinnest salon has,a counterpart which is beltane or,beltone around may,and that's also a time when the veils,are thin as well,now stalin was originally celebrated in,celtic culture and it has a really long,history,but today it's often celebrated on,october 31st into november first,but the actual day that it was,celebrated may have depended on a couple,different factors so it might have just,been the day that the harvest was,genuinely over it might have also been,based on,when the new moon closest to that,particular date was and so forth,during this time the hearth fires inside,the homes,were left to burn out while the last bit,of the harvest and gathering was done,after the harvest and gathering there,would have been a big festival,and a feast probably a ritual where,everyone,brought uh brought fire home to relight,their hearts inside for winter nights,now sowing goes by so many different,names there are different cultures that,celebrate it in different ways so we,might think,more along the lines of mexico south,america and even spain that has their,celebration,but all over the world there are,different celebrations for,something like this that's sort of the,end of the year,that honors ancestors or is moving into,winter so i'm going to link some below,there are also so many different,alternative names for samhain and i,can't pronounce all of them it's quite a,long list um and so i'm going to leave,them below for you as well,now the celts believed that since this,was a time that the veils between our,worlds were so thin that spirits would,cross over,and as a way to appease them they would,leave offerings outside,later in ireland this became mumming,which is a practice of dressing up,singing to the departed and these people,were also,paid in cakes which became modern-day,trick-or-treating they also carved,turnips,into lanterns which gave way to our,modern-day jack-o-lantern these lanterns,were meant to scare away any spirits,that might,cause harm and if you want to know why,we call them,jack-o'-lanterns jack you can actually,look up the story of stingy jack which,is kind of a really cool,example of how older pagan customs,mixed with christian customs and stories,so many of these,practices were adopted in the 19th,century in,america when immigrants came over from,ireland into america,and that's why halloween is so popular,today in the states,all right so let's get on to some,celebration ideas you can,carve jack-o'-lanterns of course you can,carve pumpkin into a jack-o-lantern,but instead of just setting it out and,just having it be,just there you can use that as a way of,warding or as a way of protection for,your home,there are different types of workings,you can do with that choco lantern and,pumpkins actually have some really great,magical energy,as well as the pumpkin seeds can be,dried out,used in magical spell charms and,workings as well or you can roast them,and eat them which is delicious,and that brings me to eating seasonal,foods so,pomegranates pumpkin squash apples,anything of that sort that is a seasonal,food,is a really great way to celebrate the,season and salad,you can cleanse your home for the new,year so samhain is also known as the,witch's new year because it's the last,spoke in the wheel of the year,and so anything that you would do as,part of a refreshing,sense or new year anything that you,would do that's like a new year custom,would be appropriate now so maybe you,want to deep clean like physically clean,your home,or maybe you want to do like an,energetic cleaning or something that,brings you a fresh new start for the,year you could also host a silent supper,now these,have long been known as dumb suppers but,i,prefer to use the word silent because,that's essentially what it means is that,you sit and eat in silence,um they've also been called feast of the,dead or there's different variations on,it,but in our home we like to do a silent,supper where we set out a place setting,to any of the departed souls loved ones,that we invite,to that dinner and then we do a little,bit of a ritual,there you can also take a nature walk,and you can decorate with things that,you find in nature so,pine cones and acorns are great for,decorating,they are easy to find in nature in most,places,and you can also use them in your,magical workings because acorns and pine,cones have some really great magical,properties as well,so something that i like to do basically,as a modern house switch,is to maybe have a bowl full of,something but that's charmed i've,charmed that bowl or i've enchanted it,in some way,maybe there is like a you know you might,see a bowl of potpourri and that might,feel completely,you know in its place or normal in a,home but what you don't realize is that,it could be a magical working another,thing that you can do is visit a,cemetery to pay your respects,so if you are close to a cemetery of any,of your loved ones who have passed by,or even if it's a cemetery and you don't,know anyone,who is there who has been laid to rest,there you can still go and pay your,respects,divination is also really popular this,time of year particularly because you,have that aspect of going into the new,year,the veils are very thin there's a lot of,wanting to know,or wanting to maybe make goals and,planning because it's a season of rest,you might be planning,the next season this season of planting,and so doing divination is a really,great way to,set goals or get some guidance for,action steps to move forward,you can do a releasing ritual which is,really good if you're trying to move,into,the next year so for this time of year i,like to go out and collect,leaves write anything on them that i,want to release,and then i would use earth magic or fire,magic,to then release them so for example if i,wanted to use earth magic,i would compost those leaves bury them,into the earth,so that i can compost what i need to,release,also if you wanted to use fire magic you,can burn them or maybe use a candle and,incorporate fire magic into that,releasing ritual,pause and reflect so this is a time of,year when we are going,inward it is getting darker outside,probably spending more time,at home it's also again the new year so,it's a great time to pause,and reflect commune with the departed or,honor the departed,so some people might find it really,comforting to create an ancestor altar,this is a great thing to do any time of,year honoring the ancestors is very,popular now,because of samhain because of the veils,being so thin,you can absolutely do this any time of,year and again particularly at salons,counterpart,in may you could absolutely do it then,maybe start it then,and continue it and maybe revisit that,same ancestor altar give it a refresh or,something like that this time of year,so the next one is actually a line taken,from the wiccan reed which says,when the wind blows from the west,departed souls shall have no rest,so it has become accustomed to open a,west facing,window and light a candle there for any,departed souls you could also make your,own type of spirit cake or soul cakes,for your own,offerings so you could look up various,recipes if you like or you can just make,your own,bread or cake and use that in your,ritual as your offering or place it,outside as an offering,you could use that so many different,ways you could just enjoy it,at the end of your ritual as dessert or,within your ritual as libation,there's quite a few ways that you could,do that share stories about ancestors or,departed loved ones,this actually gave way to the custom of,telling ghost stories,on halloween where we would talk about,those who had departed,and we would tell stories about their,life and accomplishments,anything that was great grandeur that,we're proud of or just,comforting about those particular people,in our lives,and finally do a protection working so,i mentioned the jack-o'-lantern you,could use that from before but you could,do so many different types of protection,workings you could also do some type of,inner work dream work things like that,are really popular this time of year,but make sure that you have something,close by if you're doing,any type of dream work for protection,okay so those were just a couple ideas,of how you could,celebrate samhain and a few activities,i'm going to mention,a couple quick themes and symbols colors,and things that you can find,that correspond with this time of year,pumpkins skulls and bones to represent,ancestors or the element of earth,pomegranates apples and of course,pumpkins pomegranates have a long,history association with the,underworld apples and pumpkins are,seasonal ghosts,spirits photos of departed or ancestors,that would be great for your ancestor,altar,nocturnal animals such as bats and cats,black birds you find very common this,time of year and also,anything that you might find associated,with witcheries,so cauldrons hats and brooms other,themes are,death and rebirth releasing composting,resting and contact with the departed,colors associated with this time of year,are your typical fall colors maybe black,and brown and orange,yellow red gold and silver are almost,always associated with the sun and the,moon,and then maybe like your plums and,things like that that you also find your,dark purples and maroons,resting contemplating planning,protection,dark nights and going inward all right,everyone so i hope Halloween Witch DIYs You WON'T BELIEVE Came From Dollar Tree Supplies!

today i've got three spider and witchy,diys keep watching,i'm brandi and this is making it my own,diys,we're going to need some of these witch,boots and the hat and some felt from,dollar tree for the first two projects,take your tags off and remove any extra,the first project is the witch's boots,so we're going to give these little,witches boots up here a makeover,we're going to,start off by taking a roll of black felt,and cut it into strips about this i,don't know one and a half or two inch,strips these don't have to be perfect,just cut them apart so you can manage,them you can see the shape under here is,really nice and i don't want to pull off,the tinsel because it helps hold the,shape,i'm going to start by rolling that,little piece in half so that i have a,nice clean edge for the heel of the boot,just rolling it over to see how i wrap,it around,i'm going to add some glue here,and then take the folded edge downward,and press it down,now i was all over the place in this,video y'all so bear with me i'm going to,show you and explain to you as much as i,can,to make up for my lack of uh paying,attention to the camera,okay so now we're going to wrap just,like you're wrapping a bandage you want,it to overlap,and then you can wrap it around the top,of the boot to hold it in place like,that,now it's the heel is wrapped and we've,got it secured to the upper part of the,boot,now you can just start wrapping it,around you don't have to leave it folded,you can unfold it,this is not precise at all,and you're just going to start going,around the boot now with this felt it's,a little bit stretchy so you can tug on,it a little bit and put a little,pressure on it and um,and it will give a little bit so just,continue around as you go,all the way up,to the,i guess the calf part of the boot and,cover up all that tinsel,we're gonna let it overlap on the top,about three quarters,probably three quarters of an inch i,would i would guess,i'm going to cut off what we don't need,hot glue it down,and then you can take a little bit of,hot glue and fold the edge under,this will give you a nice clean edge on,the boot and it's going to help cover up,some of that tinsel kind of trap it down,in there between the layers so that you,don't see it and don't worry about the,inside of the boot we're just going to,leave it like that for now,so so far this is what we have now i,have a little area here that is not,wrapped so i'm just going to take,another strip and i'm going to tuck it,in using my little stick here just hook,it in there,and then you can add a little bit of hot,glue if you want to,but you really don't need it,and then just continue to wrap,i've kind of hit it under there and i,was able to get that little strange area,that was hard to reach in my first,go-around,and you can go around this as many times,as you want to until you get the look,that you like,and the coverage that you like,again if you pull you can see that i'm,pulling a little bit you can kind of,extend,the amount of felt that you have because,it will stretch and it nicely helps,cling to itself which you know is good,because it's easier to work with that,way,and look at the shape already,it's already looking so much better,all right now i'm going to start on the,bottom just because i like my seams to,be in the back and the bottom and kind,of in hidden areas,and i'm going to wrap around this boot,down toward the toe,pulling in a little bit it's kind of,laying onto the shape of the boot,pretty nicely and i'll um,i actually this was,quite an experience for me because i've,never done the little boots before but,it was kind of fun the transformation is,so worth it too and really it is,gonna wrap around the curl of that toe,that little pointy area and then any way,you can get that to go down on there,just wrap it around that way you want to,keep that little hooked,shape that little curl there you want to,keep it that way so you can see what i'm,doing here i'm just kind of pulling it,and it's in different directions,but it is pressing down that tinsel and,making that little,toe stick up,perfectly,well the toe of the boot obviously i,don't know maybe a witch does have a,curly toe who knows what's under those,boots,but i'm just going to use a little hot,glue and then,kind of form it with my fingers and look,how gorgeous y'all isn't that pretty,oh i love this you could do this with,burlap if you wanted to you know if you,wanted a more rustic look,but for halloween i'm gonna keep it all,black for witchy,okay now we're gonna make a platform for,that so i'm just going to use some paper,that coordinates some paper that i like,and it actually came out of a,halloween paper pack that was gifted to,me from a friend so thank you marsha if,you're watching,then i'm going to cut it down so that it,fits my board,paint on the back,it's all spray painted,and then i'm just going to,place it down on here i'm going to pat,it down with my hands,and then,i will use a little,tool here to help make sure that i have,no bubbles and wrinkles,if you don't have spray paint that's,fine you can just use a regular paint,that you like and i went with slate,because it matches better with this dark,gray background but you could certainly,use black or whatever you have you can,see it's a dark gray color,matches well though then what you don't,see is me taking a little antiquing wax,on my finger and going around the edges,because i actually sanded that down,to make it nice and smooth,okay yeah if i would have left,everything in this video this would have,been an hour long video,at least,all right so now i'm just prepping my,decorations or my embellishments for,these beautiful boots because she's,fancy like that,you can put your trim wherever you want,i like this burlap polka dot ribbon and,i'm going to use it to go around the top,part of the boot,so i'm going to give myself about an,inch of an overlap there,and then i'm going to start going around,now i'm only going to go,you'll see here how i'm going to make it,actually fit the curve of the boot,i'm only going to go around the top with,the glue until we get all the way around,so what you see me doing is just going,around that top edge or what you don't,see me doing either way,you can imagine,there we are there it is,okay you're just gonna keep going around,like that and then when you get it back,to its original spot,press everything down,and protect your fingers i didn't do it,this day but i should have,and then look i'm going to kind of make,a little pleat here so that it goes up,at an angle doing this is going to make,the bottom edge of that ribbon lay flat,on the boot,and to me it just looks more like,it just looks better it looks um,like it follows the shape of the boot as,opposed to the boot,beforehand if you don't do this little,pleat or this little tuck or whatever,you want to call this,then you'll it will be standing away,from the boot,and that's okay too if you want it to,look like it's kind of folded over but,it kind of reminded me of a santa boot,and that's not the look i'm going for,for our little witch here no,all right look how cute these are so,cute,okay so now on this part i am going to,put some of the beautiful purple flowers,on it,because purple and black is what i'm,going for in this video,and then i'm just going to take another,scrap you see how you can just stretch,that,and i'm just going to ball it up,and then stick it down in the top of,each boot if you wanted to use your,boots you want to leave them open you,could put flowers in the top if you,wanted to if you didn't want to put the,flower on the side however you want to,do it,okay have you ever seen poshmark you,know how you have to set everything up,and look at so pretty and beautiful and,i know people do it on instagram too,so maybe this witch is a designer and,she wants to sell her boots her fancy,handcrafted boots,so she's got to make them look pretty so,she's going to put them on a platform,and she's going to stage those boots,so that,she will be the envy of town and,everybody will want her designs,press it down let it dry and then look,at it look how those boots are posed,uh,if you're liking these fancy boots,please give me a thumbs up,it helps my channel,and it makes me love you even more,okay let's take some of those spider,rings that i cut the backs off of and,we're going to embellish with those i,don't want to put a buckle back on this,boot,but i think the spiders look,amazing,amethyst spiders,oh i love it,all right so the next project is going,to be a witch hat we're going to have,her hat to match her boots,so we're going to go back to felt here,grab you some felt,i've laid my hat upside down on it,and i am working on the back side of the,frame,again leaving the tinsel on it gives it,a little more body,and you're not going to see any of that,afterwards,so i'm just going to cut where i need,and i'm going to twist around where i,need to twist around i'm going to cut,little,darts there in the side so that i can,wrap around the little edges of the brim,of the hat,because they have a little curve i want,them to keep that curve so i'm going to,get them out of the way,and then i'll fix it make it look a,little bit better in a little bit but,for this part we're just going to start,working on the tall part of the hat i'm,going to add some hot glue on the frame,and then just pull it over you can glue,and trim as you go,you do not have to cover this entire,back but i'm going to show you how you,can do it if you want it to look nice,and neat,because you can leave the,this actual wreath like this or you can,do the second step which i will show you,in just a minute so be sure you stay,tuned so you can see,what else you can do to give it a little,more dimension,okay so you just want to finish this,back up and like i said before a couple,of times,you can pull on this felt and it's a,little stretchy it has a little give,so continuing around i'm going to trim,off what i don't need,just a little on that x on that side,that's extra that's just getting in the,way and what's on this side i'm just,going to kind of roll under it gives it,a little more thickness and i like that,then i can just roll it instead of,cutting it and go right over to the edge,that we've already glued down,and let's see how it's nice and flat on,the back i like that,and by the way i don't mind that the,little bumps are showing,those little bumped areas on the sides,are where the tinsel is attached down to,the frame that's how they make,these wreaths at dollar tree,so again trimming off i don't want,anything too bulky on the end because i,want to keep the taper on the end of the,hat that's one thing that i think is so,cute in a witch's hat is that point and,since this one has a curve in it,i want to make sure that the,the little curve is a natural nice taper,going downward not with a big gap in the,middle but if it does happen to you i'm,going to show you how to fix that as,well,so we're going to keep going down here,now everything is fixed on the back part,of it and we're going to work on the,curved part of the hat,i am just going to,pinch it,and then glue it down i'm going to pinch,it and roll it and then glue it down,until you get a nice point on it i,wanted to leave this in here so you,could see exactly,how to do this because,in some of the last parts of what we're,making,uh embellishing this it's really,important that we have a nice crisp,point on the end,so,keep watching so you can see what to do,okay this is it so far you see i got my,little points right same way i did on,the top of the hat is how i did the,little ones on the bottom but you see on,the top it has a little gap,we're gonna fix that,so i'm pulling,a thicker piece of this so you're,probably gonna need two rolls of felt,yeah you're gonna need two rolls i think,i just said a roll but,go ahead and grab two,and then i'm going to start twisting,this like i did on the boots,i'm going to glue it on the back side on,the bottom,and then just start working my way,around because we're not we're going to,put something on the bottom of this hat,you're not going to see where it starts,the fold,so i'm going to begin to twist and,i am going to leave some wrinkles and,dimples in the fabric as i go along,this is the part where i'm saying you,could,you could leave it and not wrap this,part on there or for additional,interest i would think,for me,um you just gonna go ahead and wrap,another piece on top of it you're gonna,squeeze it you're gonna flip it you're,gonna leave some wrinkles in it you're,gonna make some little gathers you see,here how there's little,areas that are kind of gathered,and you're going to make sure that if,you do a like a pleat or a gather that,you do most of it,to the right side because you're going,to be curving to the right so we're,going to keep going to the right,flip it up,and you want it to get more and more,narrow as you go toward the top see i'm,going to continue here going to go,around,grab a little pleat,there i've pleated it again,and continue around but you see the tip,looks weird on my hat,there's a gap between the end of,the wreath body that's under there and,then the additional length that i added,by putting on the felt to the end of it,because i wanted it to be a little bit,longer,we're going to fix that you can either,fix it at this point which i did not do,i don't know what i was thinking when i,did this part of it but i couldn't quite,get the angle right,so i went ahead and glued it down,and then i'm gonna take another piece of,fabric now this one the piece of fabric,that i'm gonna use next,is a square,that i cut and then i folded the square,in half to make it look like a triangle,so it's a doubled triangle okay so,that's what you're looking at here,i'm going to put it,underneath,and then kind of sandwich it or wrap it,around now i'm gluing it on the back,side not on the front remember we want,it nice and neat on the front put all of,your hard work on the back,in just a minute you'll get to see what,that looks like,now we're going to do a little swag or,some decoration for the front or the,brim of that beautiful witch's hat that,we have created,i've got thrifted and dollar tree pieces,look at these beautiful purple leaves,from dollar tree,now on my camera from my angle it looks,like it's coming off,the flowers and the greeneries a little,on the bluish side but they're beautiful,purple,so these are thrifted these little,pieces of i believe that's eucalyptus,maybe,they're thrifted but you can get,something glittery,glittery,or similar to it you know at dollar tree,whatever you choose to put here here's,the beautiful purple flowers,and this kind of a two-tone purple,flower i love that it has the little,cone in the center of it it just,i don't know it just looks witchy to me,look at this this is called farmhouse,witch hazel i was able to find out of 12,stores about three picks in different,colors,but isn't it gorgeous in this,arrangement i also use some on a pumpkin,that i did recently for fall that turned,out really pretty so i'm going to take a,zip tie or you can use a pipe cleaner,whatever you have here,zip tie is going to hold it nice and,tight and it makes it easy so you don't,have to keep picking it up and putting,it down you're going to cinch it all the,way to in the middle,clip off the excess,and then i'm just kind of you know,fluffing i fluff my arrangements like i,fluff my bows here,and then i have these little they look,like little i don't know like a little,berry,i don't know what these are but again,they look kind of spiky and they look,kind of witchy to me so i thought they,were nice in here,and i think it's going to fit nice right,across the bottom,so now we're going to work on the ribbon,and the ribbon is purple although it,looks kind of blue,that,velvet ribbon comes in a three foot roll,so i went ahead and cut each of these,two into three foot pieces as well,and then i'm just going to cinch it up,these are all wired,in the middle and don't worry if you,didn't catch that,i'm going to let you see on the other,two strips of ribbon exactly what i do,again i'm just going to clip that off,then i'm going to take another piece,and this one's going to be in the center,cross it over itself,pinch it up in the middle,this is really good quality um for a,dollar tree ribbon really really good,quality,i'm going to take the next one and it's,sheer with spider webs and the other one,is black with white spider webs,i'll pinch that one up in the middle too,and grab up the rest of my ribbon,just stack them all on top of each other,and these are all roughly the same size,now using my pipe cleaner i'm going to,twist it around the middle i'm going to,use a pipe cleaner this time because i'm,going to need something to attach this,down to the little swag that we made,i'm going to do it very tightly because,i have to fluff this bow so i am,pushing down and twisting over the,little chenille stem,i'm going to trim up a little bit on,these edges,or the ends of the ribbon,to me this is an important part of,making your bows,and i'm not going to do it fast i'm,going to show you what it looks like,that it does take me some time to do,things too,i don't have super powers,well through the power of editing i have,super power superpowers but i don't have,any personally so you're going to trim,this off,you could also do a dovetail if you like,the way that that looks,and i'm going to,just continue to move my ribbons around,and move my bow pieces around so that i,can fluff it out and make it look,beautiful,now they're all about the same length,and that's a good working length because,once you get it down then you can trim,it up if you want to trim it up more,there i am fluffing,love my fluffing,and you can move those now you've got,them very tightly into that pipe cleaner,you can move them in any angle you like,to attach it down i'm just going to flip,my little,greenery swag,over on top of the back of my bow and,i'm going to tightly twist them together,you can leave it on or you can cut it,off,it doesn't matter whichever way you want,to do it,and then i'm going to prepare to put it,down,look how pretty this is,i love it,so as i was fluffing i noticed that for,the size of my,hat i had a little too much going on,down here just too much length in the,ribbon so i decided to cut a couple of,pieces to look more like little flyaways,and make it a little more,i don't know to make the size a little,bit better i guess is what i'm saying so,i'm now i'm going to take a little piece,of this is like a cotton cord,and i have it threaded through an,upholstery needle,i'm going to go through the back of the,hat over the,as part of the plastic edge of it i,guess you could say and then i'm going,to go through the back of my arrangement,right up through the middle,and then go underneath it and then you,can wrap it a few times if you want to,but mine held into place fine right here,and then i'm just going to tie this off,in the back with a couple of knots,to hold it in place,when you flip it back over if you need a,little more support and it wouldn't be,surprising with the bow that size to,need more support just add some hot glue,and then press it into place and hold it,there for a minute give it a little time,to,to dry and then you'll be good to go,then you can do all of that extra little,fluffing that you like to do,alright so,i'm gonna make something for the top now,you see the taper is perfect it's,exactly how i wanted it,i'm going to start making a little it's,like a little,i don't know what you would call this,it's like a little mini mini greenery,piece i guess i'm going to use some,black leaves and one of my purple leaves,one of these beautiful witch hazels with,a little curl on it,and then i'm going to glue a little,berry in the middle,with a piece of wire i'm going to glue,it right to the tip,let that dry and then i'm going to glue,it down on the leaf so there's a little,gap in between,and look y'all once the glue cools of,course look at this,it can move,i forgot to show you but i did actually,put a spider on there that you will see,in the end screen of the video so be,sure,that you stay to the very end,to hang this i'm just going to use,another piece of my pipe cleaners,and i'm just going to glue it right down,on the back of the hat and then you can,hang it up from there once it's cool,last project is a spider dish,we got this little,tray at dollar tree,it's a spider,and then a glass bowl from dollar tree,now take your tags off wash the bowl,nicely get it nice and clean and dry it,off,i'm going to use a little,foam block and some felt and these,little,rings,greenery that we had left from the other,projects,i'm going to start off with some,electrical tape going about,an inch and a half down,i am going to tape this off i had seen,in another video that somebody likes to,use electrical tape doing,uh curved projects so i thought i'd give,it a try and i have to tell you i am,very happy with the results as you'll,see here shortly so i'm going to take,this off,i'm going to tape it off because we're,going to be,coloring part of this bowl,all right,so on the bottom of the bowl,i like the way it went down it looks,nice but you can always move it around,if you don't get the right angle got a,little too much glue but i do take some,of that off i am going to take some mod,podge and go all the way around this is,going to help our,it's going to help the paint stick down,on this glass,and it's going to keep it from bleeding,so you can go a little bit over your,tape,with your mod podge i just scraped off,when i had too much mod podge and put it,back in the bottle,yeah say we don't want to waste anything,do we once it is good and dry it looks,almost clear,then i'm going to take some black paint,it says metallic but it really does not,look metallic to me so i don't know what,that's about,and i'm going to put it,all over this same area that we put down,the mod podge,that's where we're going to put it on,here all the way down and if it gets on,the tape that's okay too,still going to give you a nice good line,so it's going to take three coats and,i'm drying it in between with my little,arteza heat gun but you can use a blow,dryer if you don't have one,i'm going to cut down a piece just big,enough for my tray,and then i'm going to wrap it with a,scrap of felt,and it fits nicely here i'm going to,trim off the excess,i'm going to use some hot glue might be,better off on cool temp because you know,styrofoam and,and glue it can melt and make a big mess,and then squeeze it down trim off what,you need to trim off and then it's going,to be great for right here because we,want something that's going to lift it,up to almost the same level as the sides,of that little tray that we're putting,it on,so i'm going to use some glue and put it,right in the center,and press it down into place,then i'm going to use my little,insulator to hold it down and then once,it's dry and yes it is all dry,we can peel off the tape,look how nice that is,and i'm going to show you why we want,the bottom of the bowl to be black,so you see where it sits here,see that,we do not we're going to be putting,florals in there and i don't want to see,a bunch of flower picks under there so,now that this is painted black you won't,see this at all,i'm going to use hot glue here more hot,glue,and then attach this down now we're,going to be using this as a candy bowl,quite obviously this is not something,that you can wash put the dishwasher and,all that this would be like one of those,one time use things if you're going to,put food in it otherwise,you could just use it for a candle or,something like that,so press the bowl into place and then i,just put a weight in that to let it dry,while we work on some of my greenery so,i cut these greenery picks down from,they were like triples and i cut them,down so they would be individual leaves,so it would stretch out the amount of,little black leaves and coloring we will,have in our arrangement that's going to,go around it,so i'm just using some,spare picks i had left over and i'm just,going to glue them on the back now we,have individual little black leaves,perfect,now you didn't see me put down the,purple but i stuck the purples in there,i had three of those left,now i'm just going to go around and add,here and there,with some of these black leaves,the felt when you put it on your,styrofoam block be sure that you stretch,it when you put it down so that you can,you don't want to be able to see through,it but you want to stretch it enough,that you can easily poke your um your,stems through it so whether you have a,wire stem or a wood pick that you decide,you want to use could you you could use,toothpicks and stuff if you wanted,you want to be able to perforate,your um fabric that's over there,okay so then i cut my big eucalyptus,picks apart that i had left over and i'm,just using those in little single,little single uses here and there so,that i can stretch it out you know so i,get a balanced look all the way around,and y'all this is this is what i do,which i did not edit out i will put,things down i will be in think sometimes,they bend and they don't want to go in,the first time,you just keep working with it i'll put,something in place and i don't like it,so i move it and put something else,there you see i'm struggling here,it's because i didn't stretch it out far,enough yeah i didn't stretch my fabric,enough,so now i've got my,same coloring and the same greenery that,i have in my witch's hat and in the,witch's boots which makes it perfect,plus the witch's hat has a little spider,on it as you will see,shortly,so everything is nicely coordinated and,this would be so cute for halloween,decorations or halloween party or,you know you could use it at the office,for a little halloween get-together,you give any of these as gifts because,they are so cute and who doesn't love,a sweet little happy witch a good witch,right,so i'm continuing to turn it i'll turn,it in all angles and look at it,and make sure that i have it covered and,you can't see any of the picks,underneath the painted part of the bowl,canyon,perfect and we're putting enough,greenery in here,that we are not seeing the base either,and you can't see the foam,so i'm just going to add the little,berries and the,witch hazel,and whatever else we need all in there,and then see i have some of these,witches left gonna not witches,spiders,and i'm gonna put those on there so,maybe this is a mama spider and she's,got her babies with her and they're all,hanging out at the crew at the halloween,party,okay so i'm just going to see where i,want to put them and put them down,i only had two left out of this whole,pack,and then i'll add another one over here,on this side,look how cute,oh my gosh i mean for as cute as a,spider can possibly be this is really,cute,for a happy witch decoration don't you,think,i think so,all right so let's see what it looks,like with some candy in it,gotta have candy corn and worms,and more candy corn and worms and more,candy corn,isn't this nice,this is cute,i like this and my kids,love being able to snack on the treats,after i did my final reveal,so these are the projects that we have i,went ahead and left the old the original,witch's hat in there so you can make a,comparison,here is our,cute little candy tray and i just put,some lights under it,lighting makes a big difference and when,you're doing holiday decor lighting,really really helps it really makes an,impact,do you like candy corn what do you like,candy corn or caramels which one,here are the little boots now if it,bothers you that you have a little extra,hot glue in places like you can see on,the toe of this boot just go back over,it with a permanent marker or some black,flat paint and you won't be able to,notice it it'll just blend right on in,there Dark Academia Witch Crafts || a cozy autumn night 🍂🌙🕯

hey welcome to my channel i'm veda and,today,i'm going to be making some dark,academia witchcrafty,diys just for fun but i thought i would,show you and,bring you along for like a fun autumn,night it's currently like 8 p.m and i'm,about to make myself,a hot beverage,the very first thing i did was really,pour myself,a hot beverage and then i also made a,little container of,black tea i used a tea bath i,just don't really like the taste of it's,well,it tastes fine it smells like a barbecue,and i'm not for that so,i thought i would use them for crafts,i started with that so i could let the,tea steep and get really dark before i,used it to stain my paper but in the,meantime i just kind of did this little,decoration thing,i took an old wine bottle and,a candle and i started melting the wax,on the sides,this would happen naturally if you just,lit the candle inside of it,but the candles that i have just kind of,melt abnormally so i wanted it to be a,little bit more,aesthetically pleasing i always,melt a bit of the bottom of the candle,just to make sure,that it doesn't become an extreme fire,hazard and fall out while it's burning,i actually had two wreaths that i was,going to make the small one i was going,to make into a tiny crescent,moon but then i set it aside,and forgot to do that so instead i just,did the big one which i turned into a,pentagram,for my door,you could definitely embellish this way,more but i,didn't really have anything to embellish,it with so i just kind of left it simple,and i quite like it,this is a ritual oil which i will be,using,for practical things but if you,don't practice witchcraft you can still,make this as,just a decorative item,um you probably shouldn't do what i'm,doing here which is using a,lit incense stick to push the,ingredients down,um i don't know it was in front of me,and that's,that that's what i did i'm sorry,when my paper was dried i,began cutting the smaller bits into,squares i had this idea to make tiny,envelopes,that i could then decorate and embellish,with some,cute little vintage looking things,on this i decided to put a few little,quotes from a letter that virginia wolf,received,i love virginia woolf and i just wanted,to make it a little love letter,i think it would be really cute to seal,something,super sweet inside of these envelopes so,in case,maybe in the future when you forget that,you put something in there you might,find it or,somebody else might find it but i,actually didn't,have anything to put in them so i i just,sealed those babies shut,this next one was really fun to do but,it was a little bit of a fail because i,kind of did a few things wrong i first,of all painted my hand,to stamp onto the paper and it didn't,really work i had to do it twice,and then even then the hand wasn't,really what i was going for,so i just ended up painting it,basically entirely,i used acrylic paint just so i could,make it fun,and layered,in order to write palmistry i went on to,a font website,and just looked for really cool looking,fonts,i picked one out and i just started kind,of imitating it,after i had written it in ink on my,paper i realized that it was kind of,pretty much,the harry potter font which i was very,upset about and that's not really what i,was going for but,i couldn't really go back after i had,written it in ink,to write on the hand i used a jelly roll,white,pen,oh and by the way this is my kitten,jasper,oh and that's ostara and she actually,looks like the mask from scream,you

WITCH THEMED HALLOWEEN DECOR USING DOLLAR TREE SUPPLIES | VINTAGE DIY'S | PART 1

hey everyone my name is megan and this,is painted and distressed,this video is part one of my halloween,series unfortunately it's,only two videos is what i'm going to be,able to put out this year and then we're,gonna go straight into christmas so,let's get started,this first project we're gonna take this,dollhouse from dollar tree it's really,cute as is,but we're going to turn it into a,haunted house,so i'm going to give it one good coat of,waverly,ink which is just their black,and i'm going to paint the entire thing,and then i'm going to take this target,dollar spot sign and i only want the,actual sign part of it and this is going,to be our base for the haunted house and,i'm also painting it using ink by,waverly and i'm just giving it one good,coat as well,and i like everything to look spooky and,old and rustic,especially for halloween and vintage so,i'm just using white wax,and,it actually turns out looking more gray,which is exactly what i wanted it to,look like um,i just wanted it to look even,more,even older or,and,and so and i also wanted to really,highlight all of the details that are in,that dollhouse,and so it makes it look really cool,and i'm definitely going to be making,another one for christmas as well not a,haunted one obviously,and then i'm doing the same thing for,the base of in which the house is going,to,sit on as you can tell so i'm just using,about,half a stick of glue,to,adhere it to the sign and then i am,using this spanish moss that i actually,spray painted black,but i didn't,spray paint,in its entirety if that makes sense i i,wanted,the regular color of the moss to also,peek through as well,um that way it just kind of looked,more dirty and old,because that's what i wanted this to,look like and so then i'm just attaching,some plastic ring spider rings from,dollar tree and then a bat on the house,as well,and then i'm using these bigger spiders,and i do end up um going over,the spiders and the bats and stuff um,with some silver paint that you'll see,at the end,and right here i'm adding pumpkins but i,actually ended up making a mini broom,and then,also detaching some skeletons from,dollar tree and putting,legs and,the heads and stuff like that as you can,see here i just thought it would look,spookier for a haunted house,and then i also spray painted some,christmas trees black to add to the,front of it as well,in this next project we're going to make,some potion bottles,so i'm taking these glass bottles that i,got from dollar tree i think they're,like if you go to the beach and you want,to collect some sand to re remember your,vacation or something like that and so,it had some vinyl on the front of it and,so i'm just removing it with a razor,blade it was very easy,and then now i'm just taking some dollar,tree black paint because i didn't want,to i don't want to waste my good paint,so i'm just dumping basically i dumped,about half the bottle inside each glass,bottle,and then i just,dump it sort of,upside down,and then i just kind of,roll it around you can also add a little,water too to,lighten the paint a little bit,um,but i'm just rolling and rolling,and until i,cover the entire bottle of the inside of,the bottle and i could have easily just,spray painted the outside of it but i,really like the look of when you,put paint inside,bottles or vases or anything it just,gives it a really cool look,and,so that's what i decided to do,and then you just need to keep them,upside down to,get all of the remaining paint out of,them and i just let them,sit overnight upside down on a paper,plate,and then i also found these really cool,printables online and i have them linked,down below these are not mine i did not,make them,and so i'm just cutting them out i just,printed them on regular computer paper,nothing special,and i just there was quite a few,and i liked the size of them and um so i,just chose whichever ones i wanted and,then just cut them out,and these are really fun to make my,daughter who's four really loves,halloween and so we made some for her,too and she chose,a pink one an orange one,and a purple bottles and then she used,the same labels um or my leftover labels,and they turned out really cute,so these are actually fun projects for,kids because they can you know,you know kids love dumping,paint,so she that was her favorite part um so,then now i'm just adding mod podge to,the obviously i added it to the back but,also to the front of the bottle,and to take down the glare of the glass,then i also just did matte mod podge on,the entire outside of the glass,and obviously my studio lights give it a,little bit of a shine but these are very,matte and they turned out really cool,so this next project with the remaining,paint that i had left over from the,potion bottles on the paper plate here,i am using it to paint this cover,carvable pumpkin from dollar tree and,i'm just giving it one good coat,and then once it dried i'm taking this,hat,with,ah it has so much tinsel on it it was,actually cute the way it was with the,tinsel and i'm typically not a fan of,tinsel,which is why i took it off but it was,cute and you can actually just leave it,the way it is but um,if you've been watching me for a while,you know i can't just leave things alone,so i took off all the tinsel and i also,cut off the nubs that are around the,brim of the hat,and then i am just wrapping the entire,top part of the hat,using nautical rope from of course,dollar tree,so as i'm wrapping,around,the,hat,i am adding extra glue,hot glue every time and so just be very,careful if you're going to be doing this,yourself because it's very easy to burn,yourself,and then for the brim of the hat i,thought the nautical rope was a little,too thick even if i did um,you know kind of,detach it it does have the three pieces,but it was still a little thick so i,decided just to use regular twine,and as you see here i'm just using a,spatula,to ensure that i do not burn myself,and then for,a little extra embellishment i'm just,using a piece of black fabric strip,and i wrapped that around and then i'm,just adding some little plastic bat,rings that i cut off the ring part,and a little,jeweled spider,and they're all from dollar tree,and then,another half a stick of hot glue to,attach the,hat to the pumpkin and then now i'm,going to distress it give it that aged,look,with the,white wax,and at first i just start with the rinds,to really highlight that and then i go,through and,paint the rest,and this is how it looks,and those the signs are also from dollar,tree on either side as well,and i didn't touch them i thought they,were really cute the way they were and i,would love to know what you think of,tammy the witch pumpkin,this next project is so easy i don't,even know if we qualify it as a diy,because,this creepy this really cool creepy tree,was from target dollar spot for three,bucks and all i'm doing is just adding,some little embellishments from dollar,tree that's literally all it is it's,very very easy,i'm just adding some little spiders some,bats,and then also some bear i think they,call it a berry pick or something,um,but they're in the halloween section and,they come in i think black and purple,and orange and i'm just um,wrapping them around the,branches and then i'm also taking some,more of those spiders with the jewels,and then that was it,that was super easy,and you can see it here with our potion,bottles and then a couple of the other,projects that will be in our next video,that i will be releasing so make sure,you stay tuned for that it'll be in,about a week or two,this next project we're gonna take some,dollar tree ghosts and witch hats,and then i'm just choosing some leftover,scrapbook paper that i had from some,projects,who knows when,i just had pieces of it left over so i,decided to use it because i do not like,to waste anything and so i'm just,choosing which ones i want to,use,and then of course tracing,them out,and then with,about half a stick of glue i am,attaching them to the wood pieces,and using my dollar tree scraper to,smooth it out,and then for the edges i like to use,some dollar tree sandpaper so that way i,get a nice clean edge,and we're making little gnomes these are,going to be really cute for christmas,too with obviously christmas scrapbook,paper so stay tuned for christmas series,because i will definitely be making,these again,and then this is a happy accident of,what happened here um,i got a little extra glue because i am,heavy-handed with glue,and i got a little extra glue on the hat,and so i used a baby wipe to,um,try to get it off the hat and,what happened was it lightly distressed,the paper and i loved the look so i went,through,with the baby wipe on all of them and i,just distressed the paper a little bit,to give it a nice little vintage look,and then i'm just taking some wood beads,half wood beads that i got from amazon,and i'm just using that as their nose,and then this wood cutout is from dollar,tree it comes in a pack of i believe,five and at first i thought i was going,to cut it apart and,um,use the separate pieces but i was like,i'm not gonna do all that so i just,decided to paint it and so i'm using,apple barrel royal velvet it's just this,really pretty purple color,and i am just painting the happy,halloween with that,and then i painted the pumpkin on that,sign i guess i didn't film that using,waverly's pumpkin,and then i'm taking this black,chalkboard sign from dollar tree as well,and then i am hot gluing our cute little,gnomes to the sign,and then because there is this pumpkin,cutout i could have you know we could,have just left it just like this as is,without you know the happy halloween or,anything like that and it would have,looked very cute just like that,but i decided to use this burlap ribbon,from dollar tree to kind of wrap the,pumpkin,cutout um so you can't really see it,and it'll be easy to detach if say next,year i wanted to do something a little,different with the sign,i like to reuse my my stuff as much as,possible,and we also have the back too,and then i'm just gonna attach the happy,halloween sign to,the burlap ribbon,and this project was so easy and i think,it turned out really cute,and you can you can have it as a leaner,sign inside or out or you can hang it,and i chose to hang mine and so i'm,taking this cotton nautical rope from,dollar tree and then i just unravel it,just to use one of the strands of it,because,all three would have been just too heavy,and then i just knotted the ends,and then just,hot glued it,and this is on my front,gate,and i thought it turned out,really cute and i would love to know,what you guys think,and this last and final project is for,those of you that,just want something super simple quick,easy that you don't have to use,scrapbook paper or sanding or anything,and so i'm just taking these two dollar,tree,signs so the ghost this metal ghost and,then this welcome my pretties and so,then i just attached they welcome my,pretties and i'm just putting the,witch's hat,onto the ghost and then now i'm just,going to use the walk on my pretties on,the bottom,and normally i would have taken all the,glitter off you know and did all that,but i just wanted to show,my subscribers something very easy that,you can make that can still look very,cute it costs two bucks,and,and you can have some really cute decor,i you normally would galvanize the metal,too,um but it is quite shiny so i will show,you,in a minute what we did well i can just,tell you now what i did was um because,this is going to be going outside so,what i did is i used matte,clear spray paint by rust-oleum,and it protects,this,piece,from the weather outside and then it,also completely matted down the ghost,so,that is awesome and it also,contains the glitter so you don't have,glitter everywhere as well,and so i'm just taking this nautical,rope to attach these signs and then what,i like to do especially with projects,that are going outside i like to also,attach some masking tape with hot glue,and it gives it a very,extremely firm hold and that thing is,not going anywhere nothing is going to,be falling apart especially after you,add a sealant such as a matte spray,paint,and then just to hang in just a little,twine on the top and then this was it i,mean this is quick fast and easy and it,looks really cute and it's a,cute little way to,greet your visitors,and i would love to know which project,was your favorite today by Witch Crafts // Autumn Edition // burn wands, potions, bath soaks

This started off as a series more so about crafting Halloween decor,But a lot of people have shown interest in witchcraft itself ,So today I'm going to be sharing with you four items that you can make ,at home with very simple ingredients.,I'm starting off with apples.,Now, these go along with the very last craft that I'm going to show you in this video,,but I had to get them started because they took about two hours in the oven. ,So here I'm making a spice mix to go on the sliced apples ,which consists of allspice, cardamom, clove, ginger, nutmeg, and brown sugar.,Oh, and cinnamon, of course! ,And I just added them to my liking.,This is for aroma mostly ,because we are going to be putting this in a burn wand. ,However, I did eat the rest of the apples, obviously.,So, it was kind of to my taste and to my smell preferences.,After I made that spice mix, I started to slice a honeycrisp apple. ,into as thin of slices as I could ,so that they would dehydrate in the oven as quickly and evenly as possible.,While those were baking, I decided to get started on my first bath soak.,And this was for emotional healing and self-work.,So, I started off by choosing a tarot card that corresponded to my intentions,,which ended up being The Sun card. ,I started off with Epsom Salt,,roses,,lavender,,jasmine,,and Himalayan pink salt.,I know some people would not want to put dried flowers in the bath with them,or any other ingredients that would create a bit of a mess,,and so I just made a makeshift bag to show you one option ,of a mess-free ritual bath.,I'm just using cheesecloth and a bit of string to create a bag,that you would then put into the bath water,and the ingredients would just slowly seep out. ,And when you're done, you just take the bag out and you're good to go.,A sachet would also work if you have one that is large enough to hold the contents. ,For me, I would most likely not use a bag at all.,I would just dump the ingredients into the bath,and clean it up after. ,Behind this second bath soak was the intention of moving stagnant energy. ,The tarot card I picked for this was The Chariot. ,I started off with Epsom Salt and oats,,basil, ,calendula,,and black tea.,Of course, this is entirely optional, ,but I did make a bit of an oil mixture to add to my bath,which was about a tablespoon of almost oil,and about three drops of frankincense oil.,It is a bit of a tradition in these videos for me to make some type of ritual oil.,So this time, I made one for banishing. ,Adding basil,,cloves, ,myrrh resin,,frankincense resin,,and, I didn't show it, but I added black pepper, as well. ,And now that the apples are finally done cooking,,I can make my Samhain burn wand. ,For this, I laid out garden sage, ,rosemary,,one of my spiced apples, ,and a cinnamon stick.,Wrap your twine around the herbs. ,I crisscross mine; I go up one way and then, when I reach the top,,I go back down the other way and crisscross them over top of each other. ,And then I tie it at the very bottom. ,I then attached this clip that would allow me to hang it onto a hanger in my closet,,where it will be drying for the next ,two weeks, approximately.,Thank you to Skillshare for sponsoring today's video. ,Skillshare is an online learning community ,with thousands of inspiring classes ranging from ,fine art, film, creative writing, photography, and so much more!,I absolutely love to delve deeper into topics that have always interested me ,and to also discover new hobbies. ,I started working on a class called Writing for Self-Discovery hosted by Yasmin Cheyenne. ,She talks about journaling for self-care and how to make it an integral part of your life. ,The class includes exercises and journal prompts, ,which I'm really enjoying so far. ,Something I love about Skillshare is that there are no ads between classes, ,so you can really focus on what you're learning without any distractions. ,And no matter what skill level, whether you're picking up a hobby for the first time ,or a professional trying to deepen existing knowledge, ,there are classes for you. ,So, if you want to join me, click on the link in my description,because the first 1,000 people will get a free one month trial of Skillshare Premium. ,Thank you again for supporting my channel,,and I will see you again soon with another video!,Bye 👋

We gave this Halloween Witch Animatronic a Terrifying Makeover

y'all check out what we found,this is the animatronic witch from home,depot she rocks she talks her eyes glow,we got this for 20 bucks on facebook,marketplace it worked well actually we,don't know if it works yet,we're going to find out if it works but,it probably works and we are going to,give her the coolest makeover do we even,have all the pieces i hope so all right,time to find out,all right,the head,this is way bigger than i thought look,how big this chair is it's like,ladies,that's straight like wizard of oz like i,know,these little fluffy feet,here's a body chair two pieces of,oh good there's directions,is that it i think so all right home,depot makes a version of this every year,and i think this one's like three i,think it's from 2018 2018. okay yeah,they're pretty expensive new this is a,super exciting good find oh there's a,parts list okay i'll read off the part,two sides of the chair done got it two,pole things,legs legs back of the chair this this,thing whatever these are,yes the plugs the body of the witch,right here head and cord cord,there's no cord,there has to be a cord,is it in the body,maybe she's yeah maybe it's like plugged,in already supposed to plug in right,there there's the batteries,okay there's no cord to plug it in,there's a pretty good chance we have one,if you're like us you've saved every,wall plug you've ever had from old,pieces of electronics and stuff i have a,huge box of them maybe we have one that,matches the right voltage yes all right,i got a box of,old quartz let's see what we can find we,need,4.5 volts 1.5 amps,4.25 volt one and a half this is four,point five volts this will work it's not,exactly right we're gonna have to order,the exact right size which will probably,cost like five bucks or something but at,least let us test if it works or not,okay i think,all right step one these go in here,maybe it does go from the other side oh,i see this oh and there's a,tab thing screws on here you know what,what one of these is a thicker and one,is thinner i don't i think this is the,thinner one,oh god,a little wobbly but not bad step two,face this is the front oh okay,that yeah these legs are ridiculous,no they're not even two they're stuck,together oh no it's just velcro is it,velcro,oh okay what is this,it's like a cable tie stuck on there,at the back,bam chair next her body okay i think she,just like slots in like there's like a,hole yeah,okay we should move it down because we,can't reach and y'all can't see it,should go down to about there yeah,probably yeah there you go we connect,the wires all right,is that all i had power for,oh god,okay it works it works it works that's,exciting,i definitely want to like build up her,arms and we can use pool noodles to give,her an actual body because she has no,arms it's just floppy we might even just,do away with the hat entirely and give,her like a nice wig yes she needs new,hair look at this she has no hair the,hair's not bad but there's not enough of,it it's very very stringy very light so,maybe a nice like a fuller kind of,crazier wig i think we can do all new,clothes for her we can go to goodwill,get some like old chrome like type stuff,and like we did on the drinking skeleton,we could like get some clothes like,dirty them up you know make her look,yeah i want to go for like this forest,witch vibe,not like halloween store vibe our witch,needs clothes and we figured what better,place to look than goodwill yes we had,great luck here finding i'm gonna run,into a table we had great luck here,finding that old-fashioned nightgown for,our empty soul swing girls which was,crazy by the way,it was amazing that we found it so i,figure we can find the perfect outfit,for our witch what are we looking for a,dress of some sort kind of like muted,earth tones i feel like let's see what,we got what we got i think long,how cute that is,right,it's not a costume it's just an outfit,this is why you secretly love this,you get to go shopping she's got those,terrible like fluffy stuffed shoes that,are like the wicked witch of the west,yes so maybe we can get her some some,real cool boots,they always have good boots here i think,something like this though like these,are good for tromping through the forest,yeah collecting mushrooms herbs,eyes of newt things like that size of,newt we could put a skirt under her,dress and like give it some fullness and,layers and stuff you can even do a,little bit of color in there,yeah,maybe just because she's evil doesn't,mean she doesn't have style that's right,you think we can find a costume for,ourselves while we're here,um,those are amazing,i got some snakeskin boots whoa or i,could go as captain business,what'd you find there,okay that was a success we got pool,noodles these were from the dollar store,they're literally a dollar at least we,got a wig this is really cool it's like,a silvery gray does that have tinsel in,it,yes,we're gonna have to cut all that tinsel,out yeah,here we are we could have a tinsel wig,party witch,okay,how do i look,beautiful love it,we also got a bunch of good clothes from,goodwill that's a skirt it's like you,know some old like uh yeah we're going,for kind of a naturey witch so we got,this cool green dress we've got this,brown shawl that'll go over her and this,red flowery thing and we also have a,whole bunch of creepy cloth left over,from an old project so we're gonna dye,it dirty it up make it just look really,cool and old next thing we're gonna do,is take the witch back apart and we're,gonna paint the chair we're gonna make,it look like a little,next we shall take the witch back apart,all right man the next thing we're gonna,do and now we shall take the witch back,apart and paint her chair and her face,and every and everything we're gonna,paint everything is this what it's like,for you every day just,next day everything's dry we had planned,on painting some wood grain but it,didn't really work we tried these are,wood graining tools and,we'll cut in a little video here to show,you how they're supposed to work but,because this isn't a flat surface it's,not uh it's not really working so,instead of trying to get fancy with the,wood grain tool jamie has a better idea,so we're gonna take some sponges and,maybe some crumpled up paper towels and,just dab it with colors make it look,kind of dirty get some blacks on there,some greens,not all over just you know random places,and then we will dry brush it at the end,and it should look great i've got a,little bit of a yellowish light brown,here i'm dry brushing just a few of the,edges where i think you know some,natural wear in the wood would be this,looks amazing thanks,yeah just sparingly randomly no order,like imagine this part got all moldy and,yeah our witch's wardrobe looks far too,new and we want her to look like she's,lived in the forest for hundreds of,years wearing the exact same clothes,never washed him once i think the,aesthetic we're going for is like if,you've ever played the witcher or like,elden ring or the the hag from the new,resident evil village game like they're,just you know just gross stuff so to,achieve that we're going to use some,watered-down acrylic paints and we're,going to use some black and brown maybe,a little white to make gray and just,kind of start with layers and work up,until we find something we're happy with,it's always weird going to the store to,buy clothes and then you're like let's,ruin them immediately,i think while you finish painting the,clothes i'm going to paint the hands i,pulled them out i just ripped them off,basically but they're too shiny they're,like way too shy they're very plasticky,so i'm gonna give them a primer coat,with some flat black okay and then we'll,just paint them i don't know you know,cool greenish,for cuticles i wanted them to look,really dirty i kind of like how mine are,so i put a little bit of a black wash,right in that crack there and then took,a paper towel and gently wiped away,making sure to leave just a little bit,of black pooling in the crack these,hands turned out so cool they're wrinkly,and gross and old perfect witch hands,what you doing jay we're waiting on,stuff to dry so i'm pulling out all the,tinsel from this wig because i don't,think our dirty hagwich should have,shiny tinsel hair and uh,it's going okay,pulling out individual strands of hair,there's a lot of tinsel in there this is,gonna take forever,i will eat your soul,let's sit her down do you even want the,purple dress on no i don't cutting off,the old dress arms i mean we just start,with some arms start with the arms yeah,okay so if this is just a pool noodle we,cut in half with scissors can we just,kind of stuff them in here we'll just we,tape it on,you think that's gonna stay i do think,that's going to stay okay she got no,body she did she's too flat so we need,to build out her tummy we're going to do,that with a couple pool noodles since,this bends right here they're just going,to attach at the top and hang freely,that way they're not going to restrict,the movement basically just going to do,two 45 degree cuts,instant knee let's glue that together,with some contact cement,kind of look like big straws,yeah i sacrificed some wool tights,we took a little extra piece of the,scrap bent it around to give her a,little little meat on the bone,so let's go there somehow we gotta get,this other arm through,all right,there we go you look beautiful look look,she's got legs and knees,should put the hands on yes okay,an extra thing we did with the hands is,we took just a wooden dowel we drilled a,hole and just jammed it in there put a,little hot glue around the edges and now,watch we can take our hand and it comes,with this little holder that's the way,it worked normally we'll stick that,where it's,supposed to go and then we have the hole,in our pool noodle,goes like that,pull the sleeve up,bam look at that,perfect amazing,before we go any further we should,figure out where the motion sensor is,going to go where is the motion sensor,it's yeah exactly it's just under the,dress i'm here somewhere excuse me madam,i think we can probably just cut like a,slit in the dress and then just have it,poke out and glue it from the back right,there probably,hot oh oh okay i got it i got it i got,it that should be fine yeah yeah that'll,be totally fine i do think she still,needs more bulk in here okay you know we,could use her feets,just shove them in there yeah yeah all,right that'll work we'll tie something,around there it'll look fine here's her,boots and they're already kind of aged,so they're perfect,look at those skinny legs,you know what i think what if we just,instead of like putting her legs in it,just put it like over sure and in and,over,i'm going to put this on upside down so,that the fringe is on the top,there we go,white to white,no neck,here let's put this around her neck,she looks so good,so the wig this wig is just it's,glamorous,and,it's a glam rock witch,it looks like it looks like she just,came out of the salon we needed to look,like she came out of the swamp,she got like a nice blowout here silver,highlights,okay so the hat i'm thinking is we can,you know do some some pinching up here,and then we'll put some cloth over it,we'll take this yellow thing off it'll,look great,i want to make this curved so i'm gonna,stick my hand in there we pinch it and,then the inside you can't see it but,inside the little seam you want to fold,that kind of up and then put your needle,through it that looks super cool curvy,hat nice curve to it that's just bubble,wrap just bubble wrap you can literally,stuff like newspaper paper towel,doesn't matter batting this hair is,really bothering me though it's just too,it's too much i think i think we should,paint it,you know the smart thing is to just buy,a wig that looks the way you want it but,the fun thing is to figure it out,get some paint on there and then brush,it through hairdresser cost you like 300,to do that just pour some acrylic in,your hair and brush it through,don't do that gandalf the white,gender the gray,look at that time to go on yes i love it,i love her,the hair is so much better now yes it is,i don't even mind the sparkles no the,sparkles are kind of cool now,it's one more thing to do yeah,accessorize oh,so like maybe some bones like maybe a,bone necklace and oh i have some crows,we can use let's put her all together,and see how she looks,don't be afraid,i need,this is the coolest transformation i,love how she turned out she is she's,just awesome and i love her get up her,clothes we found them at goodwill and,the cool thing about goodwill is you,never know what you're gonna find but,you're gonna find something that works,and since it's you know used and,affordable you don't feel bad getting it,all muddy and painting it up yeah like,when we did the empty soul girl swing we,found that nightgown for four bucks and,the real one was like 30 dollars plus,shipping not only you're finding unique,stuff but it's most the time way more,affordable to to get the clothes there,yeah you can find different parts for,costumes you're making and they even,have like a cool halloween section,usually with all sorts of vintage props,they do especially this time of year,goodwill is an awesome place to get just,all kinds of random halloween stuff,you're gonna get find like sort of,different things at each store which is,part of the charm of it i think and as,an added bonus it's great for the,environment because you're taking,something that could be in a landfill,and upcycling it into something,beautiful i think that just upcycling,creating your own stuff
