Top 20 Scary Halloween Makeup & Costume Ideas!!! | Madalyn Cline

looking to transform into a living, nightmare this halloween, today we are counting down my top 20,scary makeup looks from my channel over, the years, these can range anywhere from basic, effects that make your skin crawl,to intense prosthetics and body paints, that make you question your own reality, beware that these are no particular, order and i leave it up to you to,comment down below which makeup tutorial, will make you lose sleep at night,so sit back grab a treat let's go ahead, and jump into the video, number 20 la yorona from the curse of la,irona, this makeup tutorial is especially, notable not only because of the, terrifying urban legend that surrounds,la,rona but also because this is a,relatively easy makeup look for anyone,to do,a key trick is to take some black body, paint and dilute that with water, and then allow that to drip down your, face naturally this is really going to,help create that wet drowned look that,la yurona has, you're also going to want to take your, black body paint and paint the tears, going down la,rona's face you want these ones to be,more opaque and to match the ones that, she has,in the film and definitely use a,reference picture to help, and my last trick to help complete this, look is the necessary evil mouth effects,in pitch black, all you need to do is drop a few, droplets onto your tongue switch that, around your teeth a little bit,and there you have the completed lyrona, look, number 19 chernabog from the night on,bald mountain scene fantasia 1941.,from his eerie yellow glowing eyes to,the intimidating size of his wings, chynabog is a character that many of us,were terrified of as a child,he is one of the most intensive looks i,have done on my channel being that he,includes a full face prosthetic, fake ears fake horns fake teeth fake, eyes, and his huge fake wings as well this, project took days to complete being that, there are so many steps into this and, that it is a more advanced project,i created the wings out of pvc pipe and, used a heat gun in order to bend it,i then traced the shape onto some fabric, and then went ahead and spray painted, that with multiple colors to get the, correct color that i wanted, which had a nice dark and light ombre, effect to it,foam dials were perfect in order to,create the veining effect that his wings, have as well, his prosthetic was created on a life, cast of my face and this was used with a,mixture of cotton and latex to help get,the base form, and then i even topped it off with some, latex paste which is a mixture of flour, and liquid latex,in a nice paste form and this was really, helpful in order to help build up the, prosthetic and give it even more texture, reference photos were definitely my best, friend throughout this entire project, his horns were made out of tin foil and, newspaper and his ears were made out of,strips of eva foam,i colored the prosthetic using a mixture,of body paint eyeshadows and even baby, powder and sealers, and the application portion is going to,be the quickest part of this entire, project, you're going to be putting your hair, back into a bald cap making sure that, that is nice and sealed to your face, and then taking some similar correlated, coloring body paints and shadows you're,going to be painting your chest, and the areas that you're going to be,able to see through the prosthetic,i personally like to use the spray body, paint to spray my bald caps that way i,don't have to work too much on,making sure that that is perfect, especially since that is going to be,covered up with the prosthetic for the, most part, then all there's left to do is glue on,your prosthetic using spirit gum,and then insert your removable eye, pieces that we created in the tutorial, and that is how you can recreate one of,the most terrifying demons from our, childhood memory, number 18 reagan from the exorcist, reagan's transition into being possessed,by a demon is absolutely terrifying to,witness and even more terrifying to,recreate on yourself,by painting your face a nauseating shade,of green because reagan likes to,barf a lot we're going to then be,splotching it up using a sponge, and then adding more details and cuts, all over her face, the final touch is creating some ooey, gooey green vomit by taking a mixture of,ky jelly, mixing that with a few colored body, paints mostly being green and yellow, and just applying that around your mouth,i don't have any tricks to turn your, head 180 degrees like reagan, but i do know that this makeup is,terrifying enough to definitely scare, anyone away who might come near, number 17 lady liberty from the purge, lady liberty is an easily identified, halloween character and one that many, people like to dress up as for halloween, her makeup tutorial is relatively easy, especially if you don't want to go out,and buy a mask, because you're mostly just covering your, face with green body paint and adding, some shading and details, while finishing it off using some twine,to create the x and stitches around her, mouth, and of course fake blood is perfect to,help frame the mask and finish,up this lady liberty makeup tutorial, number 16 chucky from child's play 1988.,if you watch this movie in the 90s you, know that this was a large contrast to,our beloved toy story, and where we were actually terrified of,our toys for quite some time, this look is created by using body, paints and eyeshadows and you're just, going to be outlining the wounds that, chucky has the trick to this look to,make it realistic is to definitely add, highlights and contours around, each cut to make it look raised and real, you also want to make sure to highlight, and contour each stitch as well to make, that look like it is coming out of your, skin, and there you have your finished chucky, look, number 15 the nurse from silent hill, this nurse is relatively easy to create, being that for the costume you're just, going to be taking a pre-made,costume and dirtying it up yourself i,decided to use tea bags, paint and add my own splash of blood as,well,i decided to create a prosthetic for, easier application, and attention to detail i'm going to be,creating the base of this with some, latex paste which once again is just, some latex, mixed with flour and then i'm going to,be taking some cotton balls and, unrolling them to create the bandages, across the face, and then once i cover that with some, latex i'm going to allow that to dry, overnight before moving on to painting,it with some alcohol paints body paints, eyeshadows and baby powder the, application portion is very easy being, that you're just going to be applying, some black body paint to the areas that, the prosthetic will not be covering, using some spirit gum to adhere the, prosthetic to your face making sure it,is nice and set,and then taking some gauze you're going,to be wrapping that around the, prosthetic and your hair as well, and then we're going to be topping that, off with the hat the final touch to this, look to help bring it to life was to add, some fake blood in the liquefied form, and then also adding scab blood to help, coagulate certain areas and make it look, like, the wounds are very deep once your nurse,is completed you're ready to go terrify, some awaiting patients, number 14 a scary mermaid scary mermaids, and sirens are very popular around, halloween and are largely requested for, people to be able to recreate for, themselves, whether that be a demented ariel or,their own take on a scary mermaid this, was mine that i really liked how it,turned out,i created gills using some liquid latex, and tissue and then, just made sure to seal that once again, and then i painted my body to be a dark, sea foam green,i then used contrasting lighter and, darker body paints on a sponge and i,just stippled that all around my body,i also made sure to use some iridescent, colors and also some glitters as well, and this really helps create a soft, illusion of scales,i also made sure to glue on a fake, starfish and also some moss as well and, also a few tiny little seashells,to help complete this look and just like, that you're ready to lure your friends, into a terrifying nightmare, number 13 the windigo from until dawn, there are numerous variations of this, character however the version from until, dawn is definitely my favorite,i love how it looks like a decaying, corpse and also helps resemble a little, bit of a skin walker as well,a big part of this makeup look that, really helps complete the look is to,create some fake teeth i used some, polymorph plastic, poured it into some boiling water formed,it around my teeth and i made sure to,paint it with a little bit of food, coloring and, alcohol activated paints i then attached, the individual teeth to the gums by,using,a hair dryer and then when you're moving,on to the bald cap i'm just going to be,gluing that onto my head, painting my entire body a grayish tinted, white color, and then making sure to use a sponge to,stipple some decaying rot all over my,body, and for the skin tearing look on my face,i'm going to be just crushing up some, tissue and applying that, with some liquid latex this is once, again a makeup look that,is very easy for beginners to do besides, maybe the bald cap offering a little bit,of issue or the teeth, because all you're doing is using the, basic techniques of tissue cotton and, latex and just building that up and, painting it from there, once you look like a terrifying decaying, corpse that you may find somewhere in,the woods, you're ready to go terrify your friends, and those close to you, number 12 a scary scarecrow this look, although it may be a little bit more, intensive,is very fun to do because you can, definitely customize it to be any kind,of scarecrow that you want,i chose to go for a more traditional, scarecrow however you can definitely, customize it,and make it look prettier scarier fun,and definitely just make it how you want,i chose to reference this image from, grim stitch factory because i definitely, wanted it to look like it was about to,eat you essentially,i wanted this character to look more, realistic than a costume that you could, buy from the costume store so i decided,to go ahead and make it myself,i'm not a very crafty person when it,comes to costuming so i decided to try,and do it in a simple way, which means i bought a base pair of,pants gloves, and top from walmart and then i decided,to add a little bit of burlap by gluing, that on,and then disheveling it by cutting it up,and painting it with contrasting and, highlighting colors, and of course you can't forget to add, fake blood everywhere you can see,i decided to frame the prosthetic on my,life cast by using some cotton and latex, before filling it in and adding texture, with my latex paste once again you, create this by using liquid latex and, flour until it is a paste like, consistency, once it's the shape you like and it has, dried you can go ahead and start, painting it i just painted it with some, black body paint, and then once that is dry you're just, going to be applying some liquid latex, onto the areas that you're going to be,gluing down the burlap, sticking the burlap waiting for it to,dry and then moving on to the next piece, this is where you can really start to,get creative with the shape that you're,going for,i personally decided to add a lot of,dinginess dirt, and blood around the edges of the seams, and i decided to stitch the pieces, together using a little bit of,some yarn the application process is,very easy you honestly don't even need a,bald cap you're just going to be,applying some black body paint to the, areas that the prosthetic is not going,to be covering, and once that is complete you're going,to be applying some spirit gum to your, face, and the mask and attaching that to your, face and then the rest of the costume,is going to cover up the edges of your, prosthetic, now you can just go wait in a cornfield, for people to scare, number 11 ruth from scary stories to,tell in the dark, this is actually a five-part makeup, tutorial which definitely allows for you,to figure out which part of this, character you want to,implement in your own costume whether, that be the normal makeup that ruth has,the tiny pimple the larger pimple the, pimple with the hair, aka spider coming out of it and the, final one where the spiders are crawling, out of her gaping wound, the tips i have for this look in,particular are for two of the steps one,of them being the small pimple,i'm just going to be applying vaseline,to a little plate i'm going to be,dripping a tiny bit of liquid latex onto,it,waiting for it to dry setting that with, some baby powder and then taking that, tiny dot we're just going to be adhering, that to our face with some liquid latex, and coloring it and adding some, irritation as desired with some alcohol, activated paints, this is going to create a perfect nice, realistic looking pimple, for you to have as ruth now if you want, that creepier larger pimple i'm actually, going to be sculpting this with some, clay on,my life cast and then i'm just going to,be taking some liquid latex and applying, that directly on,to the clay laying that up until i can,go ahead wait for that to dry,set that with some baby powder and, remove it from the mold that i created, once you have that done you can go ahead, and apply that to your face using some, liquid latex and color as desired, with once again some foundation and, alcohol activated paints,to create that gross looking pimple that,is ready to explode with some spiders, number 10 pennywise from it 1990,this classic horror character is a,staple for every halloween, especially the one that tim curry played,he absolutely rocked this character,so this one is actually very easy to,recreate if you would like the most, difficult and challenging part is going,to be creating the fake teeth everything, else is relatively easy, like i mentioned earlier in this video i,like to make my fake teeth with some, polymorph plastic boiling water and, alcohol activated paints, next we're then going to be applying our, bald cap to block out our hair and you, want to make sure your eyebrows are, blocked out too,for his fake nose you can either use a,fake clown nose or for me,i'm just going to be sticking a cotton, ball on my nose adhering it with some, liquid latex and covering it and sealing,it with more liquid latex, for the eyebrows i'm just painting them,on and he has very simple eyes he just, has tiny blue diamonds on his upper lid,and then tiny straight lines underneath, and of course you just want to go ahead, and paint his nose red,and his smile as well and just like that, you're ready to go eat some children, number nine michael myers from halloween, much like pennywise michael myers is,another classic horror icon that a lot,of people like to be for halloween, now if you want to go above and beyond, and you don't want to buy a mask and, instead want to paint a mask on yourself, you can definitely do so with this, tutorial to start off you just want to,make sure that your eyebrows are, completely, blocked out so that way you have a nice, base for the body paint i'm going to be,using a white body paint all over my,face, and then going in with a sponge to add a,little bit of detail and help add some, shadows, you can also do this with a brush as,well in certain areas i'd like the, creases of his nose and his mouth, and to definitely add some contours and, highlights to the areas that the mask, has,a lot of these techniques you definitely, can follow the purge tutorial as well, just to kind of figure out where you, want to add shadows and highlights and i,definitely recommend having a reference, photo for this, once you've distressed your fake mask on,your face as much as you like, you're ready to go ahead and add your, costume and go out and stalk some people, number eight venom much like chernabog, venom is mostly, just going to be prosthetic based you, definitely want to make sure that you,are using the proper techniques,in order to create the correct stability, for this prosthetic because it can be,very heavy if done incorrectly like, churn bog i'm going to be making, removable eyes for the prosthetic so in,order to do this i'm taking a,see-through mask that you can get from, spirit halloween, and some see-through mesh fabric that,i'm going to be modge podging on top so,that way you can see out of it however,no one else can see,in then you're going to want to make so,many fake teeth to go ahead and stick, into the prosthetic and i literally made,so many to start off i'm going to be,creating a foil base, and just hot gluing that to my life cast, because this will be able to be removed, however it won't be falling off while,i'm making the prosthetic, and i'm going to be making the tongue, and jaw out of foil as well, and once everything is set up the way i,want we can then move on to adding some, liquid latex paste,i'm going to be applying the liquid, latex paste all over the foil pieces and, bringing it up to start and continue, sculpting the forehead piece this is,also going to be connected the, prosthetic it's going to be all one, piece, however if you really chose to you could, separate it into two pieces if you, wished, when the latex paste is still wet that,is definitely when you want to go ahead, and stick in your teeth, you want to make sure it kind of starts,to bunch up at the gums to help make it,look more realistic, once the prosthetic has dried overnight, you can start painting it i'm going to,start off by painting the gums with, alcohol activated paints, and then for the rest of the face i'm,going to go ahead and just use, some black body paint i did use some red, spray paint for the tongue just because, that was easier at the time to just go,ahead and spray it on,however you can of course use some body, paint for that as well, once you're done creating the prosthetic,we're going to be moving on to the, application process, you're going to start off by applying, black body paint to all the areas that, you aren't going to be able to see, through the prosthetic so this is going,to be your body, and around your eyes and face as well, feel free to apply a bald cap if you, need to,most of the prosthetic is going to cover, anyway so it's completely up to you, you're going to go ahead and adhere the, prosthetic to your face by using some, spirit gum on the prosthetic and on your, face so it's tacky, and then go ahead and insert your little, eyes and you are already, venom, number seven the other mother from, coraline, the idea of having a mother who just, wants to replace your eyeballs with some, buttons is absolutely terrifying,so if you want to terrify some children, this halloween you definitely want to be,the other mother,i'm going to be making a fake nose, prosthetic by applying some cotton and, latex onto my prosthetic and just, sculpting it with my fingers, and once that is done and you have let, that dry you can go ahead and apply some, baby powder on that, and remove that from your life cast you, want to make sure that your eyebrows are, glued down properly so that way we can, have a flat base for the body paint, you might end up starting to resemble a,little bit of a bird once you've already, glued your prosthetic to your face using, some spirit gum and you're going to be,using some white body paint to outline, the shape of other mother's face it kind,of creates a little bit, resembling of a diamond shaped figure, eight, that you're going to then be carving out, with some black body paint to add the, shadows, and make your face look skinnier you're,then just going to be taking your black, body paint and painting some cracks all, around her face, once again i recommend using her ever a,friend's photo if you want to make it,look as accurate as possible, and since i didn't have a costume for,her i went ahead and painted the costume,on my body as well, this is completely up to you if you are, going out i recommend maybe creating the, skeleton and the illusion of the black, body paint,on your body however i do recommend, having a dress, and another trick is for your teeth i'm,actually going to be using an alcohol, activated tooth lacquer, and i'm going to be making it so my,teeth look pointy by creating little, diagonals on the tips of my teeth, and to glue down your buttons you're,just going to be taking a little bit of,spirit gum and applying, that onto the button and the top of your, eyelid and just pressing that in,until it is dry and firm there, now you can stay this way forever, number six annabelle from annabelle, creation, annabelle is definitely chuckie's,competition when it comes to creepy, dolls and so if you want to turn, yourself into this female version, you definitely can if you want to scare, your friends,to turn yourself into this porcelain, doll we're just going to be using a,mixture of some body paints and, eyeshadows this is very simple you just, want to make sure that you get the, shading in the correct areas,so you're going to be hollowing out the, sockets of her eyes adding some, highlights and contours around her face, and don't be afraid to really brighten,up,those highlights to definitely make it,look like you're made of glass, you also want to make sure that you have, overly defined cheeks when it comes to,outlining and also overly filled in,blush as well, and you also want to make sure you have, overly defined lips as well especially, when it comes to the shading in the, corners of your lips, and like i said before don't be afraid,to take that white body paint and, really accentuate the highlights on your, face to make it look like you're,reflective, and that is how you can turn yourself, into annabelle from annabelle creation, number five bathsheba from the conjuring, bathsheba is sure to give anybody, nightmares so she is the perfect, character to turn yourself into this, halloween, bathsheba definitely seems to have a,little bit more of protruding eyebrow so,i decided to make a small prosthetic for,her i went ahead and sculpted some, protruding eyebrows out of clay and then,i'm just going to be covering that with, some liquid latex letting them dry, between each layer, and then applying some baby powder once,i have layered it up enough times,to kind of make a nice firm prosthetic, and i'm just going to be removing that, using baby powder as i go,you definitely want to make sure that, you have some vaseline in your eyebrows,to make sure that you don't potentially, rip any out on accident, and i'm actually going to be gluing the, edges of this prosthetic with some spear, gum and just applying it to my face, and making sure to blend this in using, some foundation,we're then going to be creating some, fake veins all around bath sheba's face, her makeup is very simple which is why, this is really a lot of fun to do you, don't have to do the brow prosthetics i,just wanted to do that since she is a,more simple look you can of course just, glue your eyebrows down, you want to make it look like she, literally hasn't slept in like a,thousand years or so,however long you want and you want to,darken around the eyes as well, and then the finishing touch is you just, want to add a crap ton of blood, all around her mouth bathsheba is the, perfect character for halloween because, she is such an iconic horror character, from the conjuring franchise, number four vlac from the nun as,terrifying as black is she is also, another very, simple character to recreate you can, also choose to do a prosthetic nose like,i did or of course, you can use your own nose and just, sculpt it using contour and highlights,i'm then going to be using some liquid, latex and some cotton to sculpt the nose,on but the life cast of myself, you want to be very careful with this, because she does have a very long and, narrow nose so to do this i just very, much, took my time with it and then once it,was where i wanted it to be i let it dry, overnight, set it with some baby powder and removed,it carefully,i glued the prosthetic to my nose using, some spirit gum and i'm just applying, white body paint all over my face, you want to go ahead and add some, discoloration all around the eyes i'm,going to be using yellows greens blues, and of course black as well, using a sponge you want to make sure to,stipple a little bit of discoloration, all around her face as well, and then you're going to be using some, black body paint to paint her black lips, and just like la rona to create her, black mouth we're going to be using our, necessary evil mouth, effects in pitch black applying that in,our mouth and just rubbing that all over, our teeth, and that is the completed black makeup, look for halloween, number three peter peter pumpkin eater, this is a creepy and creative makeup, look, inspired by a creepy pasta titled peter, peter pumpkin eater which is of course a,terrifying retelling,of the old nursery rhyme peter peter, pumpkin eater, for this look you're mostly going to be,focusing on the mouth making sure to,outline the area with some black for the, areas that the latex won't be covering, and then laying down a little bit of,latex you're going to be ripping up a,cotton ball, and spreading it into a triangle going, inwards towards, your mouth and then once that is,completed you're going to be blending, this out with some alcohol activated, paints, making sure to add some shading some, veins and other things to make it creepy, for example some fake blood we're going,to be applying that all in the mouth, and then for the innards that are, seeping through the mouth that looks, like we either just, ate or it's coming out of us we're,actually going to be making that with, gelatin and pumpkin seeds and you're,just going to be using a spatula,to allow this to drip out of your mouth, and just like that you have brought a,creepy pasta to life, number two pennywise from it 2017.,if you weren't a fan of the 1990 version,of pennywise you can definitely shoot, for this 2017,version as well this is equally as,terrifying and one that is sure to make, your friends shiver, you want to make sure to get a very, large bald cap and stuff that with some, stuffing before gluing it down to your, face, you're going to then also be applying, some white body paint all over your face, shade around your eyes create your, little red nose and of course, bring the tails of your lips up past, your eyes and, into your eyebrows and just like that, you have your own, terrifying 2017 pennywise, number one the spirit from dead by,daylight in the hit video game dead by,daylight there are multiple killers that, you can either run from or,choose to become and the spirit is one,of those terrifying options,to bring her to life you're just going,to be taking a wig that you get from, spirit halloween and teasing it so much,to where that is going to want to stand, straight up after you have hair, sprayed it you're then going to be,applying some light blue body paint all, over your face and down to your chest, and then contouring with some light, lavender and dark blue and black, shades for the fake glass jars i just, cut up a water bottle and i'm going to,be applying it to my shoulders using, some cotton and liquid latex, making sure to paint over all of this, and definitely once again we're going to,be,creating some injury and adding some, pitch black mouth effects into our mouth, once again, and there you have the spirit from dead,by daylight, and that is my top DIY LAST MINUTE HALLOWEEN COSTUME IDEAS! AD

DIY LAST MINUTE HALLOWEEN COSTUME IDEAS! AD

I love everyone welcome back to my,channel so for today's video as you can,see by the title I have quite an,exciting one for you guys today so in,today's video I'm gonna show you guys, how to create three a different DIY,last-minute Halloween costume before, this video I've basically been, challenged by aster for their home for,all things Haunted campaign and I'm so,excited to be working with them and, aster has such an amazing selection for,Halloween things they've got the, costumes they've got decorations and, even treats and snacks,so they've basically got everything you, ever need under one roof well I,basically gone into a stir and picked up,a bunch of goodies which I'm really, excited to show you guys how you can, upcycle them and kind of turn them into, your own bespoke costume as well as,those I'm also gonna be using as some, things that you might already own in,your wardrobe which makes it so cool, because you can just transform like an,old dress into a Halloween costume and,you know you can save some dollar, dollars so that's great but anyways, without further rambling let's get on,into the video for the first DIY we're,gonna be revamping a witch's hat which I,got for 50p with this a really cool, black garland this was actually in the, decoration section but it looks so cool, that you could obviously use it as a,part of a costume rather than just a,decoration so once you've measured out,the length around the circumference of,your witch's hat what you wanna do is,cut off the end and then start gluing, this to the base of the Hat when using a,hot glue gun make sure to read and, follow all of the safety instructions, beforehand and children should only use,one under close supervision of an adult, but if you guys don't have a glue gun,you can also use a super glue, once the garland is stuck firmly to the,Hat I'm taking a spray paint that's gold, and I'm just basically going to spray, this over the leaves to give it some, texture and also some dimension I feel, like it was very black and solid so you, couldn't really see much of the leaves, and I thought this will just bring it to,life and add it that extra layer of,detail I'm then gonna take my witch's,hat off to the side and let that dry for,a little bit and I'm gonna take some, plastic black spiders and I'm also going,to you a spray paint those gold,I feel like this just makes them look a,little bit more visible on the hat once, they're dry I'm then taking my hot glue, gun once again and I'm sticking those, little spiders onto the top of the hat,in random places,I feel like this just makes the Hat look,so much more expensive and really, bespoke and the fact that you can take, such an affordable witch's hat which was, only 50 P and turn it into this is,pretty impressive now for my dress I'm,taking an older black dress that I,already had in my wardrobe which I,haven't really worn much and I decided,to return this into my witch's costume, the first thing I'm doing is I'm just, cutting the very bottom of the dress to,make it look really ripped and you know,a bit more scary I'm just cutting in,these long triangles of fabric at the, very bottom I feel like a lot of,store-bought costumes also do this so,we're just gonna replicate that on our,own dress, again I'm doing this step to the sleeves,of the dress as wow it just to make it,look a little bit more ripped and a,little bit more scary this step is of,course optional but I feel like it just, adds a little bit of something to the, dress I'm just taking the gold spray, paint and I'm just spraying that around,at the ripped parts of the dress and, also the neckline just to create a,slight ombre effect and I feel like this, links in really well with the hat that,we previously di wide once your dress is,dry you can pop it on and I'm actually, taking at this a spidery sort of layer,of fabric that's quite sheer and I'm,just wrapping this around the waist of,my dress to create an illusion of more, layers to the dress next up for makeup,I'm using the monstrous makeup set from,Asda and I'm just gonna be taking the, green face paint and just covering my,whole face and neck with this this, makeup set does come with some sponges, that you can use but I'm just going, ahead and using a my trusty or Beauty,Blender once the green is on my face I'm,then taking the white creme face paint, which is actually really really nice and, texture and I'm just applying that under,my eyes and my forehead just to add some, dimension back into my face and then, taking the black lipstick and just, applying that to my lips and also, reaching for a black eyeshadow and just, applying that kind of messily which you,can then and blend out into at the green,to add a smoky effect to it the next, thing I'm doing is I'm just applying, some black eyeshadow into my brows, because we are gonna be wearing a black, wig and I'm just making them look a,little bit thicker as well and lastly,I'm taking the black face paint from the,set and I'm just drawing on two little, spiders on my face I felt like this just, completes the look you can also take, some white face paint and add some, subtle highlights to the spiders to make, them look a little bit more,3-dimensional next up it's wig time so I,got this one from Asda for four pounds,it's really really long and black and it,looks very messy so that's perfect for a,witch so I'm just gonna brush this out,and kind of backcomb it a little bit as,well and then I'm adding my witch's hat, that we di white earlier and this is the, finished look of course if you guys want,to go to town you can also apply the, green face paint to your arms and legs, but I just applied it to my face and, neck area to show you guys the idea, for the next DIY you're gonna need some, orange yarn which is super inexpensive, and the first thing you want to do is,kind of just wrap it around your hand, you want to keep going and you probably, want to wrap it around about 200 times, which seems a bit excessive but you guys, are gonna see in the end why you need to,do that once you feel like you have, enough thickness you can cut off the, excess yarn place it on the table you, then just want to cut off another, roughly 15 centimeters of yarn and just, wrap this around into a tight knot as,you can see once you tie it off it kind,of starts to look a little bit like a,pumpkin right so then you want to take a,green pipe wire and just place that in,the middle and then tighten this up with, the excess yarn into a knot once the, pipe wire is tied in place you wanna, then a bend it upwards and basically, start twisting it around each other this,is supposed to be the stalk of your, pumpkin so you can cut off the excess, yarn if you like and this is the, finished thing it's a little yarn, pumpkin which is so cute and really easy,to make once you've mastered making one,of these you can make a couple more and, start hot gluing them onto a headband to,make a bespoke a pumpkin headband again,if you don't have any hot glue you can, also use some super glue and pretty sure, that will work as well but I just find, that hot glue is the easiest and, quickest way to achieve something like, this and this is it this is the finished, pumpkin headband now let's move on to,the pumpkin sure so the costume is again, super simple and easy to make all you, need is an orange colored top or t-shirt,anything that you might already have in,your wardrobe and then just taking some, black foam and I'm sketching out the, outline of some pumpkin carved eyes and, also a mouth if you're not very good, artist you can obviously use a stencil, off the internet I was just looking at,one of the pumpkin decorations that I,already have in my room and I'm just, drawing out some triangles and just, basically popping them into place once,I've done that I'm then just taking, another piece of black foam and I'm just, drawing out the mouth portion of the, pumpkin and then cutting that out and, popping it into place once again you, guys know I don't really do sewing so,I'm just taking my trusty hot glue gun, once again and I'm just gluing this onto, the top of the t-shirt when you're doing, this and just be careful that the two, layers of fabric the front and the back,of the shirt, glue together because that would be a,disaster and this is the finished jumper,it's so easy to do now we can move on to,a makeup to really complete this,last-minute Halloween look so I'm just, taking the orange cream face paint and,I'm just applying that all over my face, with a Beauty Blender and then taking a,brown eyeshadow and I'm starting to draw, out some vertical lines across my face,if you look at the pumpkin behind me you,can kind of see what I'm trying to,recreate that just kind of like ridges,of the pumpkin I'm then taking a white, face paint and I'm just creating some, highlights in between those lines to,kind of you know add a little bit of,highlight to the pumpkin and then I'm,moving straight on to the black so I'm,just creating the carved out black eyes, and also the nose and mouth again if,you're struggling with this you can, obviously look at an image off the, internet as a reference for the map I'm,just creating a long line down the side,of my cheek and just drawing little, lines attached to that line I really, hope that makes sense and lastly to,complete this look I'm taking my,Halloween earring set from Asda and I'm,taking the little pumpkin earrings and, just popping them in my ears and I feel, like it definitely completes the look, and this is the finished costume I love, how easy it is to recreate this look and, also create the costume so if you have,no idea what to be and you still haven't,got your costume and this will be the, perfect thing to be now for the last, year why we're creating a zombie bride, costume so I'm just taking this old a,baby doll a dress that I have laying, around in my cupboard and again what I'm,doing is I'm just cutting the triangle, kind of frayed effect to the sleeves I,feel like doing this tiny step just, transforms any piece of clothing to make,a look a little bit more Halloween, appropriate and then taking some white, lace and placing this over the seam of,the dress at the top and then just, cutting this into place and then hot, gluing this down onto the dress to make, sure it stays in place I got this lace, from my local craft store so I'm sure, you guys can find something similar to,it once that's glued into place I'm,taking another piece of lace this is in,a slightly different style and I'm just, running this along the neckline of the, dress and then again hot gluing this, into place I feel like adding a slight, lace to it just makes it look a little, bit more creepy a little bit more,Victorian and aged, and then I'm just taking my scissors and, just cutting a bunch of holes into the, dress to make it look a little bit more, distressed and old once I'm done with, distressing the top part of the dress,I'm then heading down to the bottom part, and I'm starting to basically just cut,and distress the very bottom of the, dress I feel like again this will just, make it look a little bit more Halloween, appropriate it makes it look a little, bit more torn and creepy and now to,really finish off the dress I'm taking, some red fake blood spray and this is,perfect for clothes it's totally safe to,use on clothes so I'm just taking that, and spritzing that all over the dress to,make it look really really creepy now to,accessorize this dress I've just got, this little blood choker from Asda which,I think just really completes the look, and then I'm just taking some white, facepaint for the makeup this is a super, simple makeup we just want to make, ourselves look really dead and ghostly,I'm then taking the red lipstick from, the makeup care and just applying that, all over the lip and lastly I'm just, taking some brown eyeshadow on a big, blending brush and just going all around,my eyes to make myself look really tired, and deadly, now to complete the costume I'm just, taking some blood tights from Asda now,you can also add a wig so I'm just going, for this haunted and beauty wig which, looks really creepy it kind of looks, like a spiderweb and I just added that, and I feel like it definitely completes, the whole look,so those were my three Halloween, costumes for last-minute that you guys, can deal the white at home I honestly, love this video so much and thank you so,much too as deferred sponsoring this, video as well I had so much fun, upcycling some things that I already own,but also kind of taking some accessories, from they're super affordable range and, just you know making something really, cool out of it thing I love about,Halloween is that you can be so,imaginative with your costume and it's,the one chance in a whole year that you,can be anything you want in case you, guys want to recreate these DIYs and, pick up the things that I used in this, video I will have all of the links down, below to all of the Asda products that I,use some of Scary Scarecrow Makeup Tutorial & Costume DIY | Halloween 2018 | Madalyn Cline

Oh,his books welcome back to my channel if,you're new here welcome so today I'm,going to be showing you how you can, achieve this scary scarecrow makeup so,this scarecrow is actually inspired by,numerous things so the first thing that, inspired me was actually last year when,I did my scary pumpkin makeup tutorial, that was originally supposed to be a,scary scarecrow makeup tutorial and very, last minute as I sat down to film I just, decided to completely change it into a,pumpkin so this year I thought I,actually would complete these scary, scarecrow that I hadn't intended to do,last year now I was having a very hard, time trying to imagine exactly how I,wanted my scarecrow to look because I,wanted him to be terrifying,I didn't want him to just be some little, scarecrow or just gluing burlap to my,face I wanted to actually create a,terrifying looking scarecrow that you, could potentially see in a horror movie,so for that I did some research and I,was looking at grim stitch Factory and I,took inspiration from there hatchets, scarecrow this is a mask and it is so,amazing all the masks are handmade and, this one was so detailed and what I,loved about it is how they incorporated, the little pieces of metal so I,definitely wanted to do that so it,definitely took a lot of inspiration, from that to just kind of get the base, idea of how I wanted to format my,scarecrow they have so many scarecrows, for sale that if you guys need a,scarecrow mask and you don't necessarily, have the time or want to do a makeup, tutorial then definitely check out their, website and the last thing that inspired,me for this makeup look was the trapper, from dead by daylight so the trapper is,by no means a scarecrow but he's,definitely scary all the same I love the,way that he was built in the way he,carried himself so I try to mimic my,mannerisms from him and even they make a,few pieces of my prosthetic from him as,well now something I was really debating, doing this year was making a cinematic,Halloween piece last year I did,Pennywise and I added a cinematic intro, for him and I absolutely loved it but, whenever I was scheduling my looks this, year there wasn't a look that really, stood out to be cinematic to me like one, that I could you know get really cool, shots of and make a full body costume, out of it so I almost wasn't going to do,one this year until the very last minute,I was enjoying fabrics and someone, showed me a picture of a barn and it,just clicked and I knew I could do it,for my scary,Scarecrow so with that being said I,could not do this without the help of,numerous people first off being my,parents because they've helped me try,and put this costume together they've,stayed up and pulled all-nighters with,me but I'm trying to stitch things, together and kind of make sure, everything is looking how I want it to,and another huge shout-out goes to my,big brother Nick because he was helping,me throughout this entire process he was, right there by my side he was helping me,story line this look to try and figure, out the angles that I was going to want, and really creating the character with,me and helping me create little, different traits about this character, that I can incorporate into both the, makeup and my mannerisms and my last, huge thank you goes out to my good, friend Darren Garcia Darren also has a,channel here on YouTube called Native us,and he posts amazing cinematic vlog, content I'm gonna leave him link down, below because I swear everything he,captures on film just comes to life, through the screen it is so amazing he,helped film he helped edit and he's just, been a really amazing help this entire, project,so anyways with all that being said if,you guys are interested in seeing how,you can achieve this scary scarecrow, makeup then just keep watching hey guys,so to start I'm going to be showing you,how you can make your very own scary, scarecrow costume for a really, affordable price and that is really easy, first off you're just going to be taking,a square piece of burlap that is,whatever size that you would like I,decided to make mine just barely longer, than the size of the shirt just so we,can make sure that it kind of hangs over, and looks a little creepy and you can,cut off the excess however you would, like we're then going to be taking a,pair of scissors and making a bunch of,random cuts along the edges of our, burlap just to fray them and make it,look more distressed we're also going to,be taking the scissors to the top of the, burlap as well just so we can give that, the distressed look as well because that, part is going to be very visible to the, audience and as you can see I'm,literally just swiping it and I actually, would not recommend this because I don't,want to be the reason you guys, accidentally stab yourself in the hand,so what I would recommend is maybe, taking you know like a little razor or,something and always you know brush it,away from you maybe do this on some, cardboard just do this as safe as,possible because I did end up cutting my,hand but you know I'm I'm my own worst, enemy so just please please please be,safe we're then going to be folding the, burlap in half, and cutting out a semicircle in the very, center of it this is going to create a,full circle that we can fit our head, through knock Ally I just guesstimated, these size of my head and I was pretty, right you can always adjust this if,needed I would always start smaller and, slowly make it bigger but you definitely, want it to be comfortable so you're not, suffocating anyways what I'm doing now,is I'm just taking some black acrylic, paint in some water to help dilute it a,little bit and make it a little bit, thinner I'm just going to be stroking, this all along the entire piece of,burlap just trying to make it look, ragged and old and definitely um,distressed so I'm just going to be doing, this the entire time and starting to try,and really make it look dirty if you, want to be authentic literally just, throw this around in some mud but I'm,not gonna recommend that because I'm,here to keep you guys clean we're also, going to be going into just normal black, acrylic paint that is not watered down,so we can get a few areas that are more, pigmented and than others we're also, going to be adding in some brown acrylic, paint as well just to kind of help add a,little bit more dimension and variation,of color we're then also going to be,distressing the shirt itself and once, again please be safe don't do as I do do,as I say because I love you guys and, once again I want your fingers to be,only covered in fake blood not real, blood thank you from my dog and I we're,then going to be fraying the bottom of,these shirt and these sleeves of the, shirt as well like we did with the, burlap and I don't think I mentioned, this earlier but I literally got every, single piece of this costume from,Walmart the shirt I got from the men's,section in a size medium the trousers I,got in a size I believe that was 32 in,the men's section they're just really, dark brown pants I also got the gloves, from the work section in Walmart and the, burlap you can also get from Walmart as,well we're then going to be adding the, same discoloration to the shirt as well, because let's be real if you are a,sweaty mess your bib is not the only, thing that is going to be disgusting, your shirt is going to be seeping with, stuff now whether your shirt is covered,in sweat or blood or feces that's not up,to me that's completely up to you and, your victim and your creative mind and,now it's time to get our hands dirty,we're going to be discoloring the gloves, and trying to make them, really dirty I bought these because I,knew I wanted to literally just, absolutely destroy them and glue stuff,on to them but if you happen to have an,old pair of work gloves that would work, just as well this part isn't even 100%,necessary you can easily cover your, hands with burlap or figure something, else out but I wanted to make my hands, look bigger so I looked more, intimidating we're then going to be,taking some vampire blood from Walmart, and just applying this all over our, gloves to really help bloody them up,because you know whatever you're doing, your business with and you have gloves,on it's probably gonna get all over, those gloves whatever you touch yeah, you're gonna be tainted and something I,highly recommend to you guys is any time, you're building a prosthetic from, scratch or you are discoloring some, costumes and using blood and just, throwing blood either on a set or on,props or costumes I always recommend, going to Walmart during Halloween and, stocking up on latex and fake blood, simply because it is cheaper and it's,not as nice so you're not wasting good, products so for example if you go out,and buy stuff from Nigel's beauty,Emporium and you're spending a lot of,money on high quality stuff that's,really good for your face you're kind of,wasting that product when you could just, use cheaper stuff that works just as,well for the cheaper part I guess is,what I'm trying to say because the last, thing you want is to be using cheap bad, latex on your face and using good, expensive latex on costumes does that, make sense I hope it does financial, advice from yours truly,we're then also going to be applying, that fake blood to your burlap bib as,well we're then going to be distressing, the jeans and you really want to make, this part darker if your pants happen to,be darker just to make sure that it is,visible plus the way that I'm trying to,represent the pants is to definitely, make it look like dirt so I'm trying to,apply it in the areas that would, naturally get dirty if you were to,either kneel or sit in the mud for, whatever reason next we're going to be,moving on to making our prosthetic, you're going to start off by taking some, petroleum jelly and just applying that, all over your life cast this is going to,help make the removing process a heck of,a ton easier next we're going to be,taking our liquid latex and cotton balls, and starting to build up the shape of,our prosthetics so you want to go ahead, and lay down,a layer of latex before applying your, cotton ball and then you're going to,apply more latex over top to seal that, and then you can kind of form that a,little easier if you apply some latex to,your finger you can smooth it out and, help reshape that something to keep in,mind is that cotton and latex is a,little bit more difficult to remove from, the lifecast then for example latex, paste is I don't really know why I it,probably has something to do with the, cotton so you don't want to do too much,of this all over the face that is why,we're actually going to be going in with, our latex paste so to make latex paste, you're just going to be taking some, liquid latex and flour and you're going,to start off by filling up a bowl with, your liquid latex and slowly applying, flour until you get a nice paste and, then you're going to go ahead and apply, that onto your prosthetic this is really, nice and I definitely love using this to,kind of build up size of the prosthetic, and kind of use this for the majority, just because it's so cheap and it just, really saves a lot of time and this is,really easy to smooth out once I've,applied that all over the face I'm then, going to be going back over certain, areas with the cotton and latex just so,it can help rebuild up the shape if it,was lost in the latex paste and as you,can see I applied the latex paste almost, everywhere I brought it down to my neck,i applied it over at the top of my head, the only areas you want to leave open is,the eyes and the shape that you would, like under your nose because you need to,be able to breathe and your mouth, because you want to be able to talk, easily in this and you also kind of want,it to be able to see your lips under the, prosthetic as well just to kind of help, make it look a little bit more dense and, kind of freaky we're then going to be,going back into our cotton and latex and,we're actually going to build up a slit,in his skull almost as if someone took a,hatchet to him at some point we just, want to definitely have two areas where,we are going to separate the colors of,the burlap and kind of show a little bit, more of the black underneath literally, like somebody you know just sliced him,at some point you're then going to go,back in and apply a little bit more of,your latex paste to these sides of the, head to not only build up the size but,to also literally help enhance the slit,I went ahead and left that to dry, overnight and now we're going to be,going onto our paint job I'm going to be,taking my mehron paradise paint in black, and literally just applying this all, over the, prosthetic and the reason I'm doing this,is because you can just go ahead and, apply the burlap over top,but burlap has a whole bunch of holes in,it and so you're going to be able to see,a little bit underneath so I don't want, you to be able to see the latex I just, felt like that wasn't going to distress,it enough and really make it look, realistic so you want to apply black, underneath just so you can make it look, dirty and so it actually has color and, this is going to add more dimension to,your prosthetic before you go over top, with the burlap because trust me you, will still be able to see it through the, burlap but it's gonna be kind of neat, being able to see through to black in my,opinion we're then going to be taking, our liquid latex and a sponge and, applying this to the area that we are, going to add our burlap so I'm just, applying this right under my lips, creating a nice square before taking one,of our mini shades of burlap honestly, something that's great is to literally, just get so many different yards of,burlap so you have a bunch of different, options to choose from and we're just, going to be randomly applying it over, the face just to kind of help break up,the texture in the color and I feel like, this kind of helps make it look a little, cooler and more realistic so I'm just, going to be pressing that in making sure,it's firm before going in with the other, side of the mouth and then just, continuing this all over the face making, sure to kind of cut areas that fit but, still give me a little bit of movement, and another thing is to also consider, maybe distressing some of the burlap, kind of ripping up pieces just to kind,of break it up and also make that look a,little bit more matching towards your, outfit we're then going to be taking our,PPI skin illustrator flesh palette, taking cedar Brown and midnight Brown, and mixing those together with our 99%,alcohol and just applying this over the, prosthetic you want to once again dingy,up your burlap make it look used and, worn and kind of really focus on the, areas that have a split or a close to an,opening because that's going to have, more air flowing through it and it's,just going to kind of look more, realistic to add a little bit more depth,to the creases we're then going to be,going into our PP I skin illustrator FX,palette taking our black alcohol, activated paint and applying this right, over top just to add more dimension to,those crevasses,we're also going to be taking our blood, tone and our H blood and doing the exact, same thing but this one you can add a,little bit more sporadically since this,is supposed to represent a little bit of,our dried blood speaking of blood where, there's dry blood there may also be some, fresh blood so for this I'm going to be,going back into my Walmart vampire blood, and just applying this right over top as,well next you're going to be taking some, small rope and you're going to be,cutting it to size and coloring it with, your alcohol activated paints just to,make it look dirty and then hot gluing,it on it to the burlap this is really, going to help make it look creepy and, definitely like some pieces were, obviously stitched together and, something I really recommend you guys, doing is going to Michael's getting, these little frame bolts and then, coloring that with your alcohol, activated paints until it looks like, this to kind of make it look rusty and, then hot gluing that onto your, prosthetic as well these are super cheap, and they really help make this look, definitely more unique because it,incorporates metal usually when you see, scarecrows it's all just stitching but, this definitely adds an entirely new, element to your prosthetic we're then, going to be going back into our Marilyn, paradise paint in black and applying, this around the stitching and the metal, this is really going to help make it,look like it is actually coming out of,the prosthetic I'm then going to be,taking a few bigger frame bolts that I,have and applying that to the side and,the bottom of the prosthetic as well, just we have a little bit more variation,in size and the next thing you're going,to do is take some of your Johnson's,baby powder into a bowl with a clean, brush and slowly begin removing your, prosthetic from the lifecast now I,cannot emphasize enough how important it,is to be patient and to work slowly this, probably took me about thirty minutes, but just turn on some good music and, enjoy the ride because the last thing, you want is to spend so much time and, effort on a prosthetic just to rip it,and have it not applied to your face, properly or just have wasted all of that, time on something that isn't even going,to work so please just take your time, and then it's going to pop right off and,you just want to make sure that it is,completely saturated in the baby powder,so that it is sealed we're going to be,jumping back over to our costume and, once again going back into our burlap, pieces we're going to be adding a few, patches onto our clothing so I'm just, going to go ahead and apply some, randomly on my,shirt my trousers my gloves anywhere, that is necessary before we move on to,coloring it I'm going to be going back, into my Marilyn paradise paint and my,alcohol activated body paints and just, making these look dirty, and a little bit more matching it,towards the little bit that we have and, also our prosthetic and the last step in,the costume is to cut out a long piece,of your burlap add some nice frame, towards the edges and you're going to,hot glue that to the inside hem of your,long-sleeve shirt and you're going to be,doing this on the wrists as well this is,really going to create a nice under, layer almost looking like you have, either hay or burlap underneath your, shirt and now we are finally moving on,to the application process you're going,to start off by taking some vaseline, slicking your hair back and applying, this all over your hair and your baby, hairs because you don't want to rip, those out and you want to apply it onto, your eyebrows and eyelashes as well just,to be safe we're then going to be taking, our Marilyn paradise paint black and, applying this over the areas that you're,going to be able to see through the, prosthetics so this is going to be,around the nose the mouth area and your, eyes you don't want to apply this all, over your face unless you have to simply, because that is going to be making, applying the spirit gum a little bit, more difficult because it's not really, going to want to fully adhere to the, makeup but it still will it's just going,to be firmer if you don't have any, makeup on underneath so you also want to,bring this down to your neck as well and,you also want to tightline your eyes, because you just want to make sure you, have a dark soul and sometimes that, darkness goes deeper than you know, because we had to put in our black, sclera lenses which I almost forgot to,do which would have been bad because, putting it on through the prosthetic is,just a little bit difficult to do I did, have to do it again earlier because one,of them popped out but it's no biggie,it's fine they look great, something I definitely had to do is I,had to reapply the black body paint all, over the eye area simply because these, things will make you cry you'll spend, like 30 minutes trying to put them in,and it will just make you cry and it,will make you cry off all the makeup you, just applied so you definitely want to,make sure to go ahead and go into some, black eye shadow and set that just so it,doesn't move we're then going to be,taking our been nice spirit gum and, applying this all over the face and, waiting for it to get tacky before, taking our pantyhose and just patting, that on to the spirit gum to make sure,it's,okey then we're going to be picking up,our prosthetic and pressing that onto, our face you want to focus it on the, center of the face to make sure it's,lined up with all of your features but, also to make sure that it is firm there, because it is easier to go in with the, spear come on the outer edges than it is,on the center of the face now you're,more than welcome to use liquid latex as,the adhesive but I'm not gonna lie I,personally find that it's not strong, enough to hold my prosthetics so I,personally just like to use spirit gum,I'm not going to be applying a bobby pin,to hold the prosthetic to the side of my,head if you're wearing a bald cap you,can totally skip this step because then, you can just apply the adhesive to your, prosthetic and then it's going to stick,to the bald cap but for this look, specifically in what I was doing with it,I didn't see the need to have a bald cap,so I was just gonna save a little bit of,time and money on that one and last but,not least I'm going to be applying a,little bit more of my black body paint, around the mouth area just to really add, more depth and dimension and that is the, completed scarecrow look from the, costume to the prosthetic you guys have,a complete scarecrow so thank you guys,so much for watching I really hope you, enjoyed this project a big shout out to,Nick and Darren for helping me out once, again I really appreciate it don't,forget to check out Darren's channel mess right now I kind of,look like one of those ink blot tests, abstract makeup oops,I smell so bad this is like a weird,Halloween look in of itself so nothing I,I putting these contact lenses and, probably took the longest out of this, entire application process I'm so,excited to shower oh my god oh my god, okay I actually jumped a little I'm,sorry, hey are you satisfied, you
