7 Men’s Halloween Outfit Ideas 2020 | Affordable Costume Try-On Haul

what's up guys my name is marcel welcome,to my youtube channel one dapper street,and today,we are going to have fun like fun,it's 2020 and halloween is kind of,cancelled which is not great because,this is,one of the first years where i was,actually like preparing for it not like,two days prior so,with this video i'm hoping to jolt you,into like oh man halloween costume,because for one,it's just fun to dress up especially,with everything that's going on right,now play a little dress up have some fun,but two you can still create some dope,halloween photos for instagram or just,have a little halloween party with your,with your covet group of quarantine,people,so i figured i just ordered a bunch of,fairly classic costumes,to help you guys with one inspiration,two with the fit and three were just,finding costumes on amazon,for a good deal so,let's get started first one that i've,got for you is a,very slight variation to what i'm,wearing right now,part one part two,you hopefully get what this is supposed,to be um i don't have the proper proper,shirt with the blue and the white collar,but this is american psycho and this is,one of the most budget things you can do,if you have a navy suit and a blue ish,shirt and a red ish tie you can make,this,look work this is a one size,um which i like fits all sizes just,doesn't really make sense to me but this,one size actually ended up working,out i think it was 15 and then this tiny,little axe,that is made of rubber and about half,the size of the original axe,but if you want to pull it off patrick,bateman from american psycho it's an,easy one you can still look dapper you,can wear your face mask and then,you know because we got to this is great,if you still want to look,stylish and have some fun have an axe,and have some pent-up aggression so this,is outfit number one,moving on to the next one and i tried,some of these before,it's gonna get bad before it gets good,we can make this like half a guessing,game like can you tell,what this costume is gonna be the next,piece is definitely gonna give it away,all right so sizing with costumes online,is really awkward,this is a size large so is this this is,not fit at all and these are like more,than roomy and they work,so uh this is the first half of the,aladdin costume,and the other half doesn't make it,better you got this little,hat right here just,right around there,that's how that fits and then this,sachet of sorts,that is supposed to go around the waist,but it doesn't have any closures at all,so,so you kind of have to make sure that,it's like nice and,clean like this and you just kind of,tuck it away back here,which tada,i guess it's not terrible terrible but,like come on this isn't even,close like it doesn't even touch so i am,62 and i weigh about 180 pounds,if you guys are my size order up if,you're smaller this might fit you,but large doesn't really equate to like,fashion,large when it comes to costumes first,big,takeaway but other than that i think if,you throw on some sandals and actually,get the right size this could be cool,you could there's a few other variations,honestly aladdin was one of the hardest,to find like a good one where all the,reviews were great but i wanted to,include it anyway,moving on to the next one this robin,hood costume does not come with pants,so these are from h m chinos probably a,bit more slim fit than what robin hood,would wear,but this is the top with the hood,and then you get a couple more things,even though you don't get pants,okay this is a little bit like a puzzle,like i feel like it should come with,instructions of what to put,these are your glove aerobo,covers whatever they're called which,kind of look cool they fit nice this is,a size,large,this is a size large and that fits,really well then you have this,really terrible quality to be honest,like,some of these things are like medium,like none of this is great quality,because,it's on a budget so just be aware of,that but some are just,worse you're supposed to have this belt,kind of like attach over here which does,not work at,all like i have to go to the end of it,so maybe a large isn't the right size,for me,should have gone for a medium in which,case it would be according to like what,the actual fashion sizes are so it's a,bit of a nightmare but that's why i'm,doing this for you so you guys don't,mess up,measurements are down there if you guys,need to check those out um so this,thing comes with a strap across the,chest as well,which just has the velcro on the back so,you just put it somewhere on the costume,and,there's that uh now we need some boots,and i got boots separately uh just black,boots that i felt like would go with,a couple of the outfits that i got for,you guys today and that's what they look,like,um have a little heal like kind of like,a pirate's food,um they're a size large extra large on,10 and 11,so no differentiation between 10 and 11,if you're a 10 you fit in this as well,which i'm a 10 normally,okay and this is the outfit um i did,order,a bow and arrow with this but like a,proper one,and it came apart i'm not about to put,the thing together,like i have to do all the work and this,is kind of like a proper bow and arrow,which i'm not intending to hold on to,this is not my favorite costume in the,mix today it's going to be the seventh,the last one,that is an absolute banger so stick,around until that but since this is not,going to be my choice for 2020,i'm just gonna leave this wrapped up and,put it back in the box and,send it back like all of the costumes,that i'm not gonna hold on to,all righty for the next one i already,know that i'm gonna stay in the same,chinos and actually,didn't even have to take off the boots,so finding black boots that delivered in,time for me to shoot this video before i,head to new york tomorrow was kind of,uh tight but this is what i found and it,kind of worked for this,black base for this one a black waffle,knit from,urban outfitters the same black chinos,and those boots that i already talked,about,and now we're gonna puzzle together a,little bit i literally had to reference,the,photo of what i bought several times,like try and see how this works so we,got this,guy right here and then you put this,around your waist i'm actually gonna tie,it in the back,this is a size large i think so all,these are down below like if you are,actually loving something and like are,trying to get into halloween mood but,y'all can chop these,so this is part number one then we're,introducing some faux leather,there we go all right i was right um,with a bunch of straps that i'm a little,bit too lazy to put all the way,in just gonna put one each because then,there's something up top anyway that you,can,you can't really see this afterwards my,hair is also great,all right you already starting to get an,idea maybe a quick little belt,by little i mean massive it's like 17,17 miles long you just kind of pull it,all the way through and then somewhere,back here is like,a not very great hole that you have to,put it,through there it is and then you put it,in,here flip it around i actually do this,with my belt like my fashion belt in the,summer sometimes,all right last bit,there it is now i'm now that i'm looking,at this i really need a wig for this,don't i,jon snow king of the north i actually,i i really like this costume i think i,have,no i have a wig but that doesn't really,work i have a wig from last halloween it,kind of works but like not really,so this is a wig i think would actually,be really dope and then even if you if,you want to like draw yourself like a,proper beard that guy is like,keep keith harrington keep hearing good,i'm bad with actors names i should get,better,yeah but i really love this recent,reasonable deal,obviously so,decent deal obviously supplemented with,some of your own pieces um oh i'm,forgetting something oh my god,just like if i already don't have the,wig or the haircut to match it,please put on the gloves winter is,coming,that's very out of character oh god,falling apart,tarzan in case you missed that but,this time i prepared a little bit better,for the hair situation,i love this wig so much obviously if you,live anywhere where it's a little cold,this does not work but if you're staying,at home,um or if you live somewhere where it's,warm and the end of october then this is,a super dope costume i tried for the,life for me to find a spear,on amazon couldn't find one that looked,proper like either they were like,tiny kid spears it was just weird so no,spear i got these awesome little,leopard shorts and my one sided tank top,but i i really like this like i said the,last the last one's my favorite,by far but i like this,switching up the bottom all right second,to last one um,this is a size extra large and it's,massively too big so i had to get this,little belt which is fine it's going to,be covered,the pants are really wide and wiggly but,it actually works with the outfit so,let's put it together this is just the,base and most of this is going to be,covered,but it just felt a little naked like,very deep v for,this which doesn't work okay coming,through with the earth tones,got some tan got some brown,this little thing right here is kind of,just supposed to look like there's,something,kind of just supposed to look like,there's something underneath,that's it i already got the vibe hello,cam comes with two of these extra large,is definitely too large for this,like for me for this for sure but,making it work but this is definitely,going back by the way like it's too it's,too big,and all arses might actually be cool in,case you haven't gotten it yet um um,what this is about spoiler alert i'm not,the biggest star wars fan,you can come at me for it i don't really,mind i watched it when i was young,but i know a lot of you are and i kind,of wanted to i wanted to,become a jedi again this is like,puzzling right so this is the waist,belt that is extra large literally in,this car this costume particularly was,like,oh you know please check our,measurements like for your height and,weight,this is not fashion sizing i'm just,going to put this on my head for now,and then this is the result it is,freaking this i i don't,it's clearly too small uh too big like,far too big,but okay here we go,getting there right then we've got this,one up top which is also too big but,um you can kind of if this goes in the,front,you can kind of tuck it there we go that,goes on the front um it's a velcro but,you can kind of tuck it like,it literally so far over the velcro but,you can tuck it in the back,and then actually let me put my shoes on,for these are the boots,similar to the other ones just a little,bit more massive wider,i know the audio is all over this place,with this video too i apologize but hope,you can tell i'm just trying to have a,little bit of fun with y'all,today,for a long time i'm not gonna lie i'll,just fight with myself this news,batteries,this is probably one of the most,expensive things in the entire lineup,here today,and even for that it's it's not great i,used to have a,lightsaber when i was younger and really,into oh look my belt's falling down,so wrong size that part has already,landed definitely not worth the,investment i don't think,like i'm not even gonna open this up,with a screwdriver and put batteries in,because it's fine right like y'all can,you can catch the vibe,sweating i'm gonna get into my last,costume,which i'm really excited about that's,that that next that next one is,childhood dreams come true,fifty dollars for this costume,honestly one of the most professional,looking costumes on a budget that i've,ever,ever seen i'm gonna take this mask off,so i can breathe and talk to you guys,okay i'm here the mask takes,care of the cobit thing like at least,you have a cloth across your face so,that's cool but it does make breathing,talking,living significantly harder absolutely,love this costume 50,of amazon um this is a size large i had,also tried the size,medium before which fit as well but just,was a little bit more constricting this,is all spandex from top to bottom makes,going to the bathroom really hard like,really hard and also you need a friend,to help zip you up,because that is i don't know like you,can be super flexible but then,even if you're super flexible it's just,a really awkward,spot this is the only thing that i don't,like literally the only thing there's a,little bit of,excess fabric on the leg but i think,it's an insane deal,and Halloween Costumes for Gentlemen - Stylish & Spooky Menswear Outfits

Welcome back to the Gentleman's Gazette! In today's video, we'll be discussing,stylish and spooky Halloween costumes for gentlemen. Here, within the offices of,the Gentleman's Gazette, we've got a few different opinions on the significance,of the Halloween holiday. Growing up in Germany, Halloween wasn't really a big,deal for our founder, Sven Raphael Schneider, although he did do a few,things occasionally and it's important to point out that he met his wife, Teresa,,at a Halloween party when they were both in school. Meanwhile, I grew up here in,the United States and Halloween was a considerably bigger deal. I dressed up in,various Halloween costumes over the years, often as superheroes because of my,love of comic books and I definitely enjoyed trick-or-treating and putting my,costume together. What we've come to realize and hence it's the subject of,today's video is that there are a number of costumes that stylish gentlemen and,appreciators of classic menswear can put together, either from items completely,within their own closets or supplementing by going through a few,vintage stores or buying a few things online. We're highlighting seven,different costumes today and they all follow a specific set of criteria. First,of all, they are all based in classic men's style as I just said, most of the,core pieces will be able to come from your wardrobe if you already have an,appreciation for classic menswear. Furthermore, we believe all of these,costumes are classy or in good taste, not too makeup heavy and instantly,recognizable. Meaning that when you walk into a room or a Halloween party, people,will immediately know what you're supposed to be. First up today then is a,costume that Raphael is modeling, the traditional vampire.,Of course, the vampire is one of the staples of Halloween costumes right up,there with things like witches or Frankenstein's monster. Fortunately for,the classic menswear lover though, you can pull off a traditional vampire using,a white tie ensemble. By the way, if you'd like to learn more about what goes into,traditional white tie, you can check out our section on that subject in our,comprehensive black tie guide here. Of course, there are many different,variations for vampires but we're going with the look immortalized by actor Bela,Lugosi in the 1931 film version. So in addition to the white tie ensemble,making up the core of your outfit, you'll also want to supplement with two pieces,that you could easily find online, a cape with a high collar and a medallion to be,worn around the neck. If you'd like, you could also supplement with a bit of,makeup like some white face powder or some blood at the corner of your mouth,achieved with lipstick. However, neither of these things are absolutely essential.,Also in that category would be some of those false plastic vampire teeth,because they might just get in the way of your speaking over the evening and be,generally inconvenient. If you don't have a white tie ensemble to wear, you could,also pull off a traditional vampire costume by using the cape and a black,tie ensemble or something even less formal like a black necktie, white shirt,,and red vest. Next up is a costume that I'm modeling, Indiana Jones, the famous,film adventurer. Given that Indiana Jones' costume was itself inspired by,earlier film serials of the 1940s and films like Treasure of the Sierra Madre,with Humphrey Bogart, there are definitely some classic style elements,involved, most notably, the dark brown fedora that you'll often see Indi,wearing. In addition, you'll need a brown leather jacket and ideally, also a small,brown leather messenger bag. Your shirt and trousers could be anything on the,brown scale, you could wear something in khaki or you could do as I'm wearing,here, and wear brown pants and a white button-down collared shirt that has a,bit of a rumpled appearance to it. I'm also wearing brown leather boots here,and an extra belt to simulate the gun belt that Indi wears. Cap off the look,with a leather whip, you'll be ready to go on an adventure.,Next up from Raphael is another costume involving white tie, the Phantom of the,Opera. This one's fairly easy as well, as the white tie ensemble makes up the bulk,of it. You'll just need the Phantom's half mask for that instantly iconic look,and you could also wear a cloak, as well. By the way, if you've got your core,pieces of a white tie ensemble together but you're looking for some high-quality,white tie accessories, you don't have to look any further than the Fort Belvedere,shop as we offer a wide range of accessories to go with formal wear, you,can find those, here. And as with the vampire costume, if you don't have white,tie, you could probably get away with wearing black tie in a pinch just so,long as you do remember that iconic half mask. Next for me is a slightly more,modern look, Agent Smith from the film, The Matrix. You could also pass this off,as a more generic secret service or spy costume, as well. What you'll need here is,a black suit, black long necktie, and white shirt. In addition to other,elements like black socks and shoes, if you do specifically want to go for an,Agent Smith costume down to the tee, the specific design of sunglasses that Agent,Smith wore in the film can be found online as can an earpiece that you could,wear. I'm also supplementing here with a thin tie bar across my tie and wearing,my French cuff shirt with the cuffs undone inside the sleeves of the jacket.,This was a particular style quirk that I picked up on when viewing the film again,recently. Specifically for this costume, I am glad that I do have a black suit in,my wardrobe but if you're curious as to how often a gentleman should actually be,wearing a black suit, you can find our video on that subject here. Next from,Raphael, we return to classic film to go with Charlie Chaplin's famous Tramp,character. Chaplin would wear ill-fitting morning dress in this role to,accentuate the clownishness of the Tramp character. As such, you'd need a,traditional morning wear ensemble of striped pants and a dark coat,,as well as a shirt with a wing collar or a turndown collar made to look like a,wing collar in a pinch and a dark tie. If you'd like to learn more about morning,dress, there's also a section for that dress code in the Black Tie guide on our,website. Capping off the look would be a bowler hat and cane to do some of the,prop comedy that Chaplin was famous for and then you'll need some black eyeliner,to draw in some eyebrows and the famous toothbrush mustache that Chaplin's Tramp,character sported. You could also, of course, go out and buy a false mustache,to wear but we wouldn't recommend this for a few reasons. First of all, these,kinds of toothbrush mustaches are often more associated and will be sold as,Hitler mustaches rather than Chaplin mustaches.,Second of all, we'll often find that the adhesive used to put these mustaches on,can be uncomfortable and may not hold throughout the course of the evening. The,final look I'm modeling today is the one you see here, this is a Clark Kent,costume mid-transformation to Superman. Of course, this one resonates for me as,I'm a big comic book fan and it also incorporates my love of classic style,with the blue suit. Blue is the most traditional color for Clark Kent as seen,in the comic books but you could get away with really any suit color, as well,as any shirt and tie. Most traditional here, though, would be a white shirt and a,red striped tie as I'm wearing. It will also help to slick back your hair and,wear glasses, two things I already do naturally so this costume is even easier,for me. You could supplement with a hat like the,gray fedora I'm wearing here today, also most traditional. And of course, the key,for this costume would be the Superman t-shirt worn underneath the dress shirt,,that way, you can be in that mid-transformation look. Our final,costume today, again, comes from Raphael. This one, another film character, Gordon,Gekko from the film, Wall Street. Here, you're going to want to go for that,distinctly 1980s power suit corporate raider look so you'll want to slick your,hair straight back and incorporate several,features like suspenders and a Winchester shirt, wear a bold wide tie,with a large pattern, something like large repeating,paisley and also, you could wear something like gray trousers with,inward-facing pleats. Supplement with a jacket if you'd like or you could leave,it off and show off the suspenders and two-toned shirt. Add optional props like,a cigar or maybe a 1980s style brick phone available online or maybe if,you've got one of your own still bumming around somewhere and you'll complete the,Gordon Gekko look. Just remember that greed is good.,These seven costumes are just a sampling of some of the ideas we had. There were,also a few others but they were a bit more involved as too supplementary,pieces. For example, you could look to something like Dick Tracy which would,require a yellow trench coat and fedora. Probably possible to find somewhere but,definitely more difficult than any of the things we listed here today. You,could also look for something like James Dean with his iconic red harrington,jacket from Rebel without a cause. Raphael has a green harrington but,because that isn't the iconic color, we decided to skip that costume. Still, you,can find more information on the Harrington jacket here. Hey, guys! So Halloween is coming up fast.,And if you're one of those lazy procrastinators that don't have,a Halloween costume yet, or at least an idea,,I made this video just for you!,And for myself because I also don't have a costume or an idea yet.,Or if you're anything like me and you just don't like dressing up--,I know, I know, party pooper.,(chuckling) Poop.,But I mean, come on, you would hate dressing up too,if you had to dress up as much as I did throughout the year.,(Flight of the Bumblebee),I just noticed that I did not do my hair.,Well, I already shot the beginning, so I'm not going to do it now.,See what I mean?
