hey everybody and welcome back to my,channel my name is keeley and today,we're decorating outside of my house for,halloween if you're new then this is,going to be part three of this whole,halloween decorating thing i have,already decorated my front porch and,inside my house and now we're working on,the front yard we're doing a diy,graveyard we're doing lots of budget,friendly outdoor decorations and i'm,sharing it all with you guys so you can,do it too i love halloween as you can,tell i am dressed for the occasion and,every time i try to film outside the,entire forest and all the bugs and the,birds and everything just wants to talk,to me so if you guys could please stop i,am not snow white i'm trying to make a,video here at this point in the fall and,in decorating season my blood type is,basically pumpkin spice because i've,been decorating for so long and i want,people to drive by my house and stop and,slow down i want them to be like oh my,gosh like that's been my goal since,childhood is for every holiday that you,can decorate outside i want my house to,be the one that kids go oh my gosh look,at that house so that's what we're doing,and that's what i do for every holiday,if you're new my name is keeley and i,love holidays they're my thing so let's,get started decorating outside also if,you haven't caught the first part i've,already decorated some inside my house,and my front porch so go and check those,out and there'll be more to come because,i also will be doing more inside my,house in another video and a whole,complete house tour after you've seen,this one so let's get going let's get,decorating because we got a lot to do,and it's already october y'all so i,built these tombstones for the graveyard,well actually tim built them i didn't so,these two are built out of old pallet,wood and this is just some like old,wood that we got it like goes um on the,bottom of a dresser it's really thin i'm,about to paint those and then i also got,these yard stakes from lowe's that i'm,gonna paint,and we're gonna attach like the chains,that i bought so they can kind of go,around all the gravestones i also have,two other gravestones that light up,so there should be a good amount of,gravestones in our graveyard i haven't,decided where i'm going to do it yet,there's like this area of my yard,and then there's,this area of the yard i do have a plan,to hang witch hats from the tree like,around the bottom of the tree in the,front so i don't know if i should do the,graveyard like,like right here i should do it like over,here,so spray paint is my best friend when it,comes to things like this it's super,quick and easy and inexpensive and for,the gravestones i'm just gonna spray,paint them gray and then put a little,black around the edges to make them more,like age looking feeling like a real,artist y'all,i picked up these yard stakes from,lowe's and my idea is to use them to,make like a fence around the graveyard,as well as put them on the back of the,gravestones so that i can stick them,into the ground i'm basically bob the,builder right now okay,for the front of the graves i'm just,going to paint a few names and things on,them i did put a couple from hocus pocus,of course and then beetlejuice i try to,remember that perfection isn't necessary,when it comes to outdoor decor it's,going to weather and it just needs to,look good for what i use it for you know,people probably aren't going to be,inspecting my tombstones on halloween,night either let's be honest and if they,are i guess that's on them,if you're new here my name is keeley i'm,30 years old and my middle name is,really rainbow i love halloween candy,but i don't think fun size candy bars,are actually any fun and it goes without,saying that holidays are my jam i make,youtube videos about motherhood diys,home decor and what it's like to be me,someone who's slightly domestic and,really really relatable,i have two daughters who are four or,nine and a husband who works in the oil,field which means he is hardly ever here,sometimes i lie about what time it is so,that bedtime can come sooner and i'm,only a pinterest mom if it can be done,in like get to know each,other first,do you like scary movies or no for,someone who likes halloween as much as i,do i actually really don't like scary,movies to tell you the truth,like let's be real adulthood is scary,enough already without needing it to be,more scary right,so for the witch hats i've been taking,the hat,so they're really cheap they're just i,bought all these from amazon i'll link,them below but either side of like the,very top i'm cutting like a little tiny,slit like and then i'm taking the,fishing line and i'm putting it through,the,holes that i cut so it's,on either side,right through here,and then i'm just feeding it through,until it's like about as far as i want,it hanging from the tree,then tie a knot that i have coming up,here it will go to the tree and then i'm,cutting this side a little bit,and this is gonna be what i attach to,the tea light,so then i'll feed that back through the,hole,that i cut,and reach up,and grab it so now,it hangs,like this and there's also some,fishing line inside to hang a tea light,off of if you want to so there's that,and now we're going to put them up after,i do,all of them because i have a lot thank,you amazon,so i know everyone's seen the hanging,witch hatch trend and they look so cute,i have some inside already actually but,i knew i needed some outside too you,could say that i was influenced,i thought they really fit in well with,the vibe i was going for though and it's,a super inexpensive and easy way to like,make a statement you know on amazon i,think i spent less than like a dollar,each too and thanks to my husband we,already had the fishing line of course,and this is a way better use of it than,fishing let's be real,if you've watched me before you know i,like to ball out on a budget and if,you're new i'll go ahead and put that,out there now my decor is definitely not,the most expensive on the block and it's,definitely not always perfect but that's,okay i like diying stuff,i love sharing the process with you guys,even if it's not always glamorous and i,love hearing that y'all think i'm,relatable i also love seeing your decor,too so if you post it somewhere be sure,to tag me as long as your decor tag me,anyway i want to see it and don't stress,i'm sure it looks awesome,so for the little fence around my,graveyard i took the yard stakes that i,painted black and hammered them into the,ground and then i used these dollar,store chains to connect them to like,make it look spooky and stuff it,actually worked out and looked really,good for the fact that the whole thing,cost me like less than ten dollars,okay so i just put these up,you can kind of see the front,i'm gonna have two things on either side,and then like the graveyard behind it,and there's the witch's hats hanging,from harder than i,thought it was gonna be i am like,melting now and it's not even that hot,outside yet and i'm in the shade ford,that i made are up i have two more,inside that i have to paint that i,bought from ross i'll show you guys,those in a minute when i paint them next,up we have this guy this is from walmart,um the story about how i got him is a,little embarrassing because i tried to,order him for pickup and on the app it,said that there was three in stock so i,knew that he was in the store somewhere,because it said that they were in stock,but then when i tried to order them from,pickup it wasn't in stock so or like,they said it wasn't in stock so i was,like i bet they're in there,so previously in the past i have walked,through the garden center and seen like,a ton of halloween boxes so i was like,let me just go back there and like see,if i see,one like laying around you know because,they've been like going through stuff,back there so then i found him he was,just like laying in the garden center,and i was like oh my god i need it so i,got him out of the garden center um,because i guess they hadn't gotten,around to putting him on the shelf yet,but i was like i know you're in there,but now he's mine so we're gonna put him,up,so the skeleton was a little tricky to,get standing obviously for only 28 bucks,she wasn't the most sturdy but by the,miracle of zip ties and patience i made,it happen even if for half of this clip,she looks like she's twerking in my face,anyway i used one of the extra stakes to,support her and then i also zip tied her,hand to one of the fence stakes that i,already had hammered in and it all,worked out in the end,i don't know why i ever get cute for,these videos because i end up out here,sweating in october like sweating,so he's standing i'm gonna use some of,the other,yard stakes the little steaks not gonna,work he's not like sturdy enough in his,joints so,i think,if i yardstake him up and then like,you won't really be able to tell i don't,know let's just let's just keep going,with it shall we,as always if you have any questions,about products make sure to check down,below i try to link things that i used,or at least something similar a lot of,my decor is sentimental from my parents,or just things i've collected over the,years so sometimes i can't link them but,i always try,he's standing he's up so i always get a,ton of questions on how i hook up all my,lights and how i do all of that so i,have an obscene number of power cords,and that is for a couple reasons one,because this is what i do every year and,two because my husband he's very handy,and he likes to fix things and do things,and so we just have a lot of that kind,of stuff just like i have a lot of,random screws and a lot of random wood,and a lot of random like zip ties and,like everything i need to like make,something happen or like pull it out of,my butt to make it happen one outlet so,i have one outlet on my porch and it is,connected to the same outlets that are,in my garage like on the i don't know i,don't know anything about power i just,know that i um trip the breaker every,year for every holiday so right now i'm,gonna go hook up the blow up that goes,on the other side of the yard it's just,a big pumpkin it kind of goes with the,vibe you know like we got pumpkins out,here it's fine,so the major diy decoration i'm making,for this video is for the graveyard i,really wanted like an entrance to my,graveyard so i made some pillars for,either side of the entrance for this,project you need two foam poster boards,and some styrofoam i bought my styrofoam,from lowe's and my poster board from,walmart,i started out by cutting each poster,board in half i didn't cut it all the,way through though so i could like fold,it and then i duct taped both of them,together to make the inside of the,pillar,it makes like this long square cylinder,type thing then i measured out a top and,bottom with a styrofoam,i used hot glue to secure the top and,bottom on to the square that i made,and then i also made a smaller square to,go on to the very top to make it look a,little more fancy i guess,and then on the very top of each one i,mounted a plastic pumpkin bucket that i,had spray-painted gray,then i taped up all of the edges with,duct tape as well as the bottom to make,sure it would hold up i mean after all,duct tape lasts forever,after building both of them i took them,outside to spray paint them again,love spray paint i sprayed them both,gray all over and then used some black,paint and a little brush to make the,edges a little more you know rustic,looking and give it some character i,don't know what i'm doing y'all i'm not,an artist okay but i just went with it,and cali even helped a little bit too,once the pillars were dry i moved them,out to my yard where they needed to be,they're pretty light obviously so i did,end up sitting some small gray bricks on,the back of them to hold them down,because if it gets the least bit windy,obviously they're going to blow away,since they're made of styrofoam but you,could probably put some yard stakes into,them too if you had some on hand i just,didn't have any i did have bricks i do,think they turned out really good and,they were actually pretty simple to make,except for styrofoam is kind of messy so,you know keep that in mind but overall,pretty easy diy and very inexpensive and,they turned out pretty good what do you,think,so i also ended up adding some spiderweb,i hate this kind of spiderweb so this is,the only place in the yard that has them,this year it never comes off of anything,and by the time i finally get around to,pulling it off of my bushes and stuff,actual spiders have made it their home,or it's christmas so it's not my,favorite but it needed something so,spiderweb it is anyway in the spirit of,making it spooky and stuff here it is,along with some giant spiders that i got,last year at walmart i do love these and,they creep me out i don't i don't know,why there's just something about spiders,y'all,i also had these gravestones that i,picked up from ross to paint i actually,was really surprised to find them there,and i bought both of the ones they had,because they were only like six dollars,and they're lighted so i'm really,excited about that honestly and so eric,and i each painted one and they turned,out really cute,so i still had some decor left over in,my boxes and if you know me you know i,had to use it this ghost was just like a,plain little hanging happy ghost but i,also had some extra spooky fabrics i,added to the top of him and now he looks,a little bit like a dementor but i'll,take it so you just gotta sometimes look,around reinvent some of the stuff you,have and make it into something new also,pay attention because in just a minute,you're gonna hear some random people,tell me that they like my decor which is,nice but i'm also filming in my front,yard so that's kind of awkward as if the,people in my neighborhood didn't think i,was a weirdo enough already here we are,thanks,so this witch is something that my mom,has had for like 15 years and i just,recently inherited her thanks mom i love,vintage halloween so this is perfect i,put her out on this tree even though,she's a small detail seeing my mom's,decor that i've had for years brings me,such joy honestly decor for me is more,about the memories and the sentiment,than actually being trendy like don't,get me wrong i love trendy decor but,there's something special about the,pieces that you've grown up with and,stuff you know like i just love that,for some final touches i added some bats,around the side of my garage because,it's freaking bath y'all and i love,halloween if you know you know,and i gave my skeleton friend this,killer sign from the dollar tree that,says trick or treat as well as a witch,hat that is zip tied under her head and,a cauldron bucket to hold there's,definitely no shortage of detail in this,one,you know my favorite thing about,halloween is aside from the fact that,it's one of the only holidays where it's,socially acceptable to walk around your,neighborhood with your kids drinking,beer and asking for free stuff,anyway i really love that it's like the,doorway to the best time of the year,like starting in october everything gets,so much more exciting,probably tiring too if you're a mom but,also way more fun it's just so like,magical and stuff you know i love making,holidays fun and shameless plug here i,share a lot of my easy and fun things to,do over on my tick tock on instagram so,if you aren't today's video is dedicated to my husband,he bought me this paint that is supposed,to be the blackest black in the world,and I thought what better way to see how,it works than with a Halloween video to,test how black this paint is I'm taking,one of these Dollar Tree skulls and I'm,painting half with the black 3.0 by,culture hustle and the other half in ink,by Waverly,I started with the ink side so I could,then compare the black 3.0 consistency,since I already know how the Waverly,chalk paint works,thank you,foreign,for the culture hustle side you have to,shake this paint really well to mix it,up I was not expecting the consistency,of this paint to be so runny and so,liquidy so I got out one of my paint,trays and poured some of the paint into,that to make it a little bit easier,this paint is also incredibly thin it's,not a chalk paint so I didn't expect it,to be as thick as Waverly but at least,like an acrylic the paint was almost,separating away from the skull so I,wonder if I should have sanded it down a,little bit first but I ended up putting,three coats on each side for a fair,comparison,here you can see the side by side and,that culture hustle black 3.0 really is,the blackest black that I have ever seen,it also has a really velvety feel and is,super matte just like it claims now that,we saw how dark this paint is I painted,the whole skull in the black 3.0 and I,want to add some gold leaf to bring out,the details I applied the adhesive with,my detail paint brush and let that get,tacky for about 30 minutes then I,applied my gold leaf flakes,it's going to look a little bit messy at,first but wait until you're completely,done adding the gold leaf then wipe off,all of the excess gold leaf with a,paintbrush,I made a few versions of this skull,including one with a Steeler logo on it,since we are from Pittsburgh for my,husband and that's it for this one,foreign,my favorite place to get inspiration,I've had these pool noodles lying around,in my craft room for quite a while now,and it's finally time to use them,I know pool noodles are hard to find,this time of year so you can also use,toilet paper or paper towel rolls to get,this same look I cut the noodles down,into various Heights and ended up with,10 candle pieces,then at first I held them together with,rubber bands and started painting the,pool noodles black but then I realized,it was easier to take all of them apart,and paint individually then put them,back together using my super glue to,hold them in place,next I'm taking my hot glue gun to,create the wax strips from the candles,you want to be really careful doing this,because if the glue is too hot it will,melt the pool noodle foam I ended up,switching over to my low 10 pot glue gun,to prevent it from melting and then it,painted over all the hot glue with my,black paint again,foreign,tea light candles into the tops of the,pool noodles so I cut out a hole big,enough to fit them with my exacto knife,for the face where the candles are going,to sit I'm taking this Dollar Tree Pizza,Pan and painting it in a custom purple,color that I mixed up,foreign,I wanted to do a crackle effect with,that purple peeking through so next I'm,taking my crackle medium to put on top,of the purple paint,I don't know if it's this product in,particular but it did not crackle at all,after I put the black paint on top of it,I even tried to use my heat gun for more,of that crackle look it looks like it,almost has scratches on the surface of,the paint rather than that crackle,effect let me know in the comments if,you've tried this crackle medium or if,there's a better one out there because I,really like that look but I can't seem,to figure out how to get this one to,work so I decided to decoupage over top,of this instead using the skull napkin,that I found at Walmart,foreign,coming through the napkin even though,this will mostly be covered up all,that's left to do now is decorate the,candles I used several items from Dollar,Tree including these purple flowers with,the eyes in them some spiders skulls,blackberries and oh I painted the tea,lights black as well that's it for this,one I love how this turned out it is so,fun for Halloween,thank you,foreign,this one is probably my favorite from,today it turned out so cool I'm taking,two of these skeleton hands from the,Dollar Tree and going to start cutting,off the fingers at all of the joints I,got this idea from the crafty couple in,one of their recent videos although I'm,making something different but that was,so genius to make these hands look more,realistic you do want to make sure as,you're cutting each piece to keep them,grouped together that way you know where,each piece goes as you put them back on,I also cut the finger that should be the,thumb off at the base which is the same,thing the crafty couple did in their,video just to angle it a little bit more,and make it look like a thumb,now I'm going to attach all the finger,pieces back together I'm just using hot,glue here you want to start curving each,of the finger joints as you glue them,back on I want this to look like it's,holding a crystal ball and curve the,fingers to look realistic,there will be gaps on the back side of,the hand because of the way we're gluing,it back together but I'm okay with that,it actually looks really cool in the end,once I had the hands put back together I,took them out to my garage and I spray,painted them with a few coats of white,paint,next I'm taking some brown chalk paint,and a sponge and covering the hands with,this to get into all of those cracks,Then I wiped off the brown paint leaving,it in the cracks and making these hands,look like they've been aged I went back,and forth with this a few times until I,got the look I wanted,now it's time for the crystal ball,portion I have this plastic snow globe,from Dollar Tree that they put out,around Christmas time and I want to make,it look a little smoky so I took some,black paint on a sponge Dabber and very,lightly dabbed it onto the inside but I,wish I would have used gray instead,adding to the spooky Halloween theme I,want there to be something inside of the,crystal ball so I found these report,covers at the Dollar Tree which are,clear and printed out a crow on my,Cricut I printed out to and mirrored one,of the images so it would be backwards,and then placed one on each side of the,report cover then I put the crow inside,the crystal ball and it looks like it is,floating there to cover the bottom of,the crystal ball I just added some of,this green velvet ribbon,when I put it all together the hands,weren't quite working right so I did cut,the Palms a little bit and then curved,them at the bottom so the crystal ball,would have something to sit on and,that's it for this one like I said it is,so cool,foreign,this project is so incredibly easy I'm,taking another plastic skull from Dollar,Tree and using my hot knife to cut it,directly in half,you could also use an X-Acto Knife or a,box cutter either one would work,then I spray painted each half with,antique brass giving them two coats but,you can use any color that fits your,home decor,next I took my dark wax to just bring,out some of those details a little bit,more and then wiped it back with a paper,towel,these are going to be bookends so to,make them stand up on their own I'm,taking these Dollar Tree domino pieces I,just sanded them down a little bit for a,better adhesion with the glue and you,want to make sure the skull is sitting,how it would sit on a bookshelf before,adding in that Domino I ended up adding,it a little bit too far back at first,and you really want it to be where that,jawline is so it sits correctly on the,bookshelf that's it for this one like I,said it was super easy in a subtle,Halloween touch,foreign,this one is also incredibly easy I found,this candle at the Dollar Tree and,thought it looked like a witch's,cauldron so to make it look like that,I'm taking some black paint with baking,soda and put a pretty heavy amount of,the baking soda into the paint,foreign,coat of the paint just painting it on,normally and for the second coat I,stippled it onto the candle for that,really textured look,I also did this same effect to two glass,candle tea light holders for a little,set I thought about adding white wax to,bring out some of that texture and tried,it on a little spot but didn't like how,that looked so I ended up just leaving,these black and that's it for this one,foreign,check out this video next for more fall,ideas hey guys and welcome back to my channel,i am so excited for today's video in,this video i'm transforming the outside,of my house into a halloween,wonderland y'all it's gonna look like,halloween threw up in my front yard but,that's okay,it's spooky season and that's what i'm,here for so get ready to watch me,decorate my front porch,front yard and put up lots and lots of,spooky decor,first up is the porch i really loved my,fall front porch but alas,it's time to make it spooky when i do my,transition from fall to halloween i,often keep a lot of the same decor,and just add a few things here and there,to make it more of a halloween theme,the first thing i'm adding are these,super cute spiders from dollar tree i,bought every single one dollar tree had,and some command hooks from dollar tree,and that's what i'm using to hang them,beside the door,i think it came out so cute i am also,adding some lights that i got on,clearance last year after halloween,clearance shopping is my favorite,bye,my,a lot of you guys always talk about how,much decor i have i'm going to be honest,with you all when i say i literally have,never paid full price for,any of it for the past eight years it's,been my top priority on november 1st to,go buy clearance decorations,usually walmart kirklands and michaels,all go 50 to 70,off the day after halloween and that's,how i get all of this,target usually takes a little bit longer,but i did shop at target last year and,got some good deals,either way it's taken years of me,building my collection so don't be hard,on yourself if you can't afford it right,now just budget a little bit for the day,after halloween this year and,shop then you won't regret it,so if you gotta know the decoration i,hate the absolute most at halloween is,that cotton,sort of spiderweb i hate it but it also,looks really nice so here we are,so you'll see later it ends up on my,bushes you can thank my kids for that,i swear though it never comes off it,ends up being stuck to things so long,that i'm out here putting christmas,lights,up and actual spiders have become lazy,and decided to make it their home,so if you're new here and this is the,first video of does your family,celebrate halloween i think the main,reason i'm such a holiday fanatic is,because of my mom,she loved to go over the top for every,holiday we had a huge halloween party at,our house every year,i remember having fun spooky food all my,friends would come in costume and we,would bob for apples,i don't know how she pulled it off,honestly but everyone always had such a,good time,growing up it was like this for every,holiday tons of decor,trees at christmas in every room and,lots of fun i love creating these,memories with my kids now too,i love to make everything festive for my,next video i was actually thinking it,would be fun to share a holiday themed,day in the life,maybe with some halloween breakfast,ideas halloween crafts halloween themed,dinner dessert,maybe even some fun adult drinks too,what do you think,would that be something you guys would,like to see let me know down below,so some of you may notice that i hang my,lights with a stapler around my garage i,always do this and it's the easiest way,and yes it's kind of a pain to take down,but you got to do what you got to do for,the holidays you know,i also get a lot of questions about how,i plug in all my lights honestly i,probably do it incorrectly but usually i,have three separate places to plug them,in,one by the front door which is where my,porch lights and half of the walkway,lights are plugged in,one coming from the garage which is,where the garage lights on the other,side of the walkway are plugged in,and then one coming from the other side,of the garage where my inflatables are,plugged in,it's definitely a spider web of,extension cords around here,i was most excited for my skeleton set,up after halloween this year i'm gonna,buy at least two more of these guys i,love them,they're so fun this year i just sat him,on a bale of hay and surrounded him with,pumpkins honestly,it probably looks like halloween is,thrown up in my yard but that's okay,20 20 needs some holiday festiveness if,you ask me no matter what form it comes,in,and my kids really love this spot too,they've been wanting to play pretend,with the setup since i put it up,i really just love watching them get in,the holiday spirit,oh and if there's something you're,loving in this video i will try to link,everything down below so make sure to,check out the description,do,so in every video i always try to put a,little positive message,so today i wanted to share one of my,keys to staying positive,it's so easy to think about all the,things that are going on that are,difficult complicated or stressful,i mean hello 2020 am i right sometimes,all you can think of is all the crap,that you have to deal with the chores,you have to do,all the negative stuff going on in the,world in your life or at work and that,is totally normal,but at some point you really have to,start believing that life is still,magical,you have to find some of the little,things in life to focus on that bring,you joy,you have to believe that every cup of,coffee you have is awesome that every,holiday is the fun festive holiday,you've always dreamed of,and that taking a walk at dusk is,magical and special you have to,romanticize your life a little bit,it will never be that way unless you,believe it is,you have to focus on the positive,sometimes it helps me,to just take a minute and think about a,couple positive things in my life,and that always changes my outlook a,little bit,so,so,so you're gonna get to trick-or-treat,this year our neighborhood is,participating and we are so happy,i really think we need a little bit of,normalcy luckily it's pretty easy to,socially distance on halloween too,we have a golf cart and we use that to,go trick-or-treating last year and i'm,so excited to be able to do foreign,hey guys and welcome back to my channel,my name is Keely and today we're going,to be decorating outside my house for,Halloween that means the entire spooky,yard setup is going up today y'all if,you're new here I love Halloween it's my,absolute favorite time of year to,decorate for and we have so much going,on today I'm going to be doing a huge,outdoor graveyard setup in my front yard,complete with a 12 foot tall skeleton,and all of his friends got DIYs for you,little hacks and tons of stuff to give,you inspiration on how to turn your,front yard in to spooky Halloween setup,that you wanted to be so get ready and,get set to run a makamakamak today,because we are getting spooky witches,let's go,so the first thing I did was put up the,skeletons my 12-foot skeleton I put up,way before anything else I had to do,that while my husband was still home,because obviously I needed help because,he's huge a funny story when I asked the,girls what I should name him Cali came,up with the name Josh so this is my,skeleton 12 foot tall named Josh don't,know why we don't even know anybody,named Josh but here he is this is Josh,everybody meet him in addition to Josh,we have his two friends these are just,five and a half foot skeletons from,Walmart that I put up I use zip ties and,a yardstick and a shepherd's hook to,hang them up and get them put up in the,yard so super easy way to do it and now,they're just out here hanging out,foreign,here's a close-up of the big 12-foot,skeleton I think he really makes the,whole vibe out here he is from Home,Depot but I don't know that you'll find,him this year I had to buy him in July,but he's staked down and locked down,with steaks and then he has another wire,that holds him up he was fairly easy to,put together I wish I had more footage,of us putting him together and also his,eyes light up too I just haven't plugged,that part of him in yet but that's him I,don't think I realized how big 12 feet,is on a skeleton until I put him up but,I absolutely love how he turned out so,happy with this purchase the skeletons,they are zip tied to the back to these,steaks I did have one shepherd's hook,that I used for this one but I actually,kind of like using the stakes more I,feel like the steaks actually work,better so,he's just zip tied to this stake that I,got from Lowe's,this year I wanted to get some more,tombstones to make a much bigger,graveyard I really wanted to make them,but unfortunately while I was working on,this video I also had covid love that,for me so I decided not to make them and,to just buy them convenience has a cost,and it's apparently 32 dollars so I got,two packs of six tombstones from Walmart,because it's me of course I had to spice,them up a little bit so we also got some,Moss from the craft section and let the,girls have at it decorating them to give,them more detail and make them a little,spookier they are just made out of foam,so I don't know if they'll last more,than a year but to be honest it was,worth my mental health to just buy them,this year,foreign,say hello to my mother she's here,visiting and loves Halloween as much as,I do so I was pumped to have her here to,help out she brought some amazing decor,with her too first check out these,fences they have been around my entire,life and I absolutely love them I had to,have them I'm so excited to have them,for my graveyard obviously I wish I knew,how to tell y'all where they were from,or literally anything about them but I,truly have no idea so my apologies on,that one but you have to admit they're,pretty cool huh obviously I got my love,of Halloween from my Mom they're heavy,metal and my mom has had them for,probably like 15 years but they are,awesome and give all the perfect,graveyard holiday,content coming up so I really hope that,you will join me,foreign,to the graveyard I wanted to make some,pumpkin pillars I used two large wooden,stakes and a bunch of plastic pumpkins I,drilled holes into the back of the,pumpkins and then attached them to the,stakes with zip ties the pumpkins,themselves are also for my mom he's had,them for years and they're probably all,from like 20 years ago definitely,getting 90s kid Vibes with the Casper,pumpkins especially I bet my kids don't,even know who Casper is but that's okay,anyway I love them because they are also,unique and different than the usual ones,that you're seeing in stores now they,made a great pumpkin pillar and gave a,little bit of Whimsy to my graveyard,best part all of the lights in the,pumpkins work too what kind of Miracle,is that,football,so we just finished with the pumpkin,pillar so I wanted to give you guys some,up close to kind of see how everything,is on here you can see that they're zip,tied through the holes that I drilled,onto this piece of wood and then each,one of them has its own separate little,light in there then I have these that,are from Dollar Tree that I put in,between the pumpkins just because there,was like awkward space in between them,and it needed something and I think that,the skulls kind of gave it a little,spookier of a Vibe there's the Casper,pumpkin I love him he's so cute so then,I also put some moss in between there to,kind of cover it up just to give it like,the entrance to the graveyard Vibe the,pumpkins all came from my mom I will,link similar pumpkins but I don't don't,think that you can get these specific,ones anymore but that's kind of how we,did this all of them are just zip tied,on the back,and you could do this for any sort of,pumpkin Arch and just zip tie them to,something like this PVC pipe or whatever,but that's kind of what worked out the,best for us there are a lot of cords but,you can't see those at night just during,the day,so we laid out all the gravestones and,started poking them into the ground the,new ones are foam like I said so they,were easy but for longevity's sake I,probably suggest using wood and steaks,to make gravestones but we're gonna see,how these fare as long as no hurricanes,come our way I think I might be okay,thank you,so if you're new to my Channel or,wondering what video is next now is my,chance to convince you miss out,thank you,so after getting the Tombstones put up,we had one windy day and the little pegs,that came with the Tombstones did not,work out so I decided to put in a little,extra effort and make sure that I didn't,have to wake up to them in my neighbor's,yard again I went to Lowe's and got some,dowels and some PVC pipe I cut the PVC,pipe down and used Gorilla Glue to,secure the PVC pipes to the Tombstones,after that I hammered the dowels into,the ground and slid the Tombstones right,over the Dallas to secure them it worked,pretty well and now I don't have to,worry about them blowing away with the,tiniest gust of wind,foreign,let's have a round of applause for my,Madame Leota Tombstone from Lowe's this,is an afterthought but look at her just,look at her how cute is she I'm not,gonna say she's budget friendly okay I'm,gonna be honest but sometimes you just,need something and you I just needed her,that's all,when you're setting up Halloween decor,you always have to think of how it's,going to look at night that's what,you're really decorating for to scare,the Daylights out of little children,just kidding kind of anyway adding good,lighting is key I have several,spotlights that are different colors,black spotlights and string lights that,really kick things up a notch when it,comes to what it looks like at night I,also have a smoke machine that I put out,on Halloween like I said I'm really,dedicated to this I'll be sure to link,what I have down below so don't forget,to check out in the description if you,have any questions,foreign,all set up I decided to put all my blow,up Decor on the other side of the,driveway this will be a little less,spooky and I did get this awesome blow,up Castle last year on clearance so of,course I had to put that up it,definitely feels in the other side of,the yard and I do think they're cute I,know some people have a very love-hate,relationship with blow up so let me know,down in the comments if you are a blow,up Decor kind of person or not at all,show you guys a little bit during the,day so you can get some kind of insight,into how everything is out here and set,up it does not look as good during the,day but that's that's the point,Halloween decorations are supposed to,look good at night so I do have a,extension cord running out to here which,brings all the power out to everything,so,I've got our gravestones these are the,ones from Walmart that I mentioned and,in these some of them are the ones that,I made last year,and then we've got our fences that my,mom brought and these to kind of make,them extend a little bit so they covered,more space,we put some lights down at the bottom,here just like string lights for the,little pumpkin pillars I guess and each,one of these has their own plug so,there's quite a lot of plugs back there,to keep everything plugged in but it,looks pretty good A little bit up close,in the graveyard I have some more,gravestones over here this one lights up,and then I do have some spotlights on,the big skeletons so we just have a,couple little details I have this guy,plugged in and then I do have spotlights,all over that are pink and black light,so that way,it gives it that like nice purple vibe,that you guys see at the end plugging it,in is always the hardest part just,because you have to get power from the,house out into your yard but I think,that it all turned out pretty good,that's just to give you guys a little,bit of insight as to what it looks like,during the day and more details about,how everything's plugged in and kind of,why we did what we did we do have,spotlights out here as well to shine,onto the fences so that way they can,have some color too it looks really,great at night during the day it's okay,there's a lot of cords but there's,really no other option unless I was to,get like battery powered everything and,that's just not going to happen so here,we are but if you have any questions let,me know so for the blow ups I wanted to,do blow-ups on this side just because I,thought it would be at least one part of,the yard that was like a little bit less,spooky I think I've effectively scared,all of the kids in our neighborhood that,are small Tim bought me this last year,after Halloween it's from Walmart and,I'll try to link it if they have it,again this year but then I've had this,ghost and this pumpkin for a long time,so just put them out here and put them,on this side of the yard to give this,side of the yard something I do love my,blow ups some people hate blow ups but I,think these are cute I like it on,Halloween night I will probably move,this into the driveway so kids can like,walk through it to go up to get candy,because we move all the cars out of the,driveway right now it'll just stay over,here and be like a cute little castle,all right y'all it's time to take it to,the night time let's get spooky witches,I love how it looks at night with the,lights and the skeleton and the fog,machine and The Make These Cute DIY Ghosts for Your Front Yard | DIY Outdoor Halloween
hi everyone welcome back to handmade i'm,jill finally the hot and humid summer is,coming to an end and the best season of,all is here it's fall y'all and with,that brings my favorite holiday,halloween,today i'm going to show you a super,simple project that's cute and not,creepy and will bring your home major,curb appeal for all the adorable,trick-or-treaters let's get started,the first step is to pound rebar into,the ground using a mallet i'm using a,two foot section all along and a three,foot section further in the back for a,taller ghost the placement depends,really on how many ghosts you want,lining your sidewalk i have a pretty,short area but i want several ghosts,tapping the rebar into the ground is,very easy and thank goodness it's,forgiving if you want to move it you,just pull it out,next we're going to push the styrofoam,balls onto the top of each rebar to make,the heads,i'm using different size styrofoam balls,to make different size ghosts this first,one is a 5.7 inch styrofoam ball now,we're going to drape white material over,each ball to make the body i'm using the,top sheet let's pause here and have a,serious discussion are you pro top sheet,or no top sheet people feel very,strongly one way or the other and i am,absolutely positively no top sheet so i,just had this extra one lying around,doing nothing so this is a perfect way,to use it,it didn't measure it beforehand because,it depends on the size rebar i'm using,and how far i pound it into the ground,so it's easy just to measure it right on,the body,the good thing is the bottom edge does,not have to be straight at all i,actually think it looks a little more,ghost like if the bottom edge is raggedy,okay so we just want to make sure that,our rebar is completely covered up,and it's not dragging the ground too,much,a little bit is fine,just trim him,up all right,he is pretty cute already now i'm going,to give this guy some eyes using some,black paint you could also make a mouth,but i think it looks a little spookier,with just the eyes,you could stop here but i'm gonna make,them look a little more ghost-like by,just draping some cheesecloth over the,top,got four yards for like three or four,dollars online you can get it at the,craft store you can actually get it at,the grocery store too,i'm just gonna trim it where it needs to,be and add another layer to until he,looks the way i want him to,these ghosts look so fun blowing in the,breeze but you definitely don't want,your ghost flying away so here's a good,little tip i'm just gonna hammer a nail,or a tack right in the top you won't,even see it but it'll help keep that,fabric secure,the last step is optional depending on,where you live obviously our ghosts are,made mostly of fabric which is not the,most ideal thing to be outside at all,times i'm going to give it a light spray,of outdoor fabric protector,this will help keep them protected in,the elements but if the forecast calls,for terrible weather i'd plan on taking,these guys inside,one goes down and now i'm just gonna,repeat for my other ghost,i love how these ghosts turned out it,was a simple quick project that adds,tons of curb appeal the house is,decorated i've bought the candy for the,trick-or-treaters and myself and all,that's left to do is figure out my own,costume,let us know in the comments below what,holiday projects you're going to make,for halloween this year we'll see you,next time

oh,there's those bright The Summer's old,the Mr bright Moonlight I would talk,time to decorate for this is Halloween,are you ready let's wipe your nose bye,say bye hello everyone thank you so much,for clicking on today's video this one,is going to be short and sweet and fun,and I hope it brings you a little,inspiration and a little excitement for,it's Halloween fall season so if you,guys know me then you know I am a huge,fan of Halloween I don't think there's,anything better than Halloween other,than Christmas of course but I always,get an early start on decorating and,life has been crazy lately and I just,figured I had the time to do it this day,and I just spent the afternoon doing it,and I'm really glad I did even though it,was what like September 17th or,something because my kids have been,enjoying this so so much and I love like,walking into the front door and seeing,all the decorations so,um it may not be your jam to decorate,that early but you know by the time you,guys see this I think it'll be,appropriate I'm going to start by just,power washing the entire porch getting,all the cobwebs and dirt and things like,that off and then we're going to get to,decorating if you not be,playing a bunch of weird Halloween music,that I found on epidemic sound because I,couldn't choose any of it I couldn't,stand it so I'm playing music I like and,then I will play like a Halloween kind,of song at the end I hope you guys enjoy,it and let's get on with it,the hills by the lake you were chasing,your dreams,and I gave you a rose that you kept and,see kept,going on,irritation,I also did not go out and buy a bunch of,new stuff this season I pretty much,worked with everything I already had the,only thing I purchased were some,pumpkins and some mums that I recall oh,and a new fun little guy who's going to,be sitting in my chair but that's it I,like to pick things that I'm gonna like,for years and that are pretty just,standard decor and that I can mix and,match things I either find in the dollar,spot or one of my favorite things to do,is clearance shop at my grocery store,and they're like seasonal Decor aisle or,Hobby Lobby or something like that when,they have the end of the season sale so,after Halloween you go and you scoop it,all up for like half off it's amazing so,I just didn't really want to purchase,anything new knowing I had exactly what,I needed this year,my feet,I've got it right and I got it wrong,but I learned my lesson hanging on,come sit here with me by the fire,and let it go for a little while,so be,starts falling let my fingers walk over,your head,we,hit you,and always in your head,when I was young at the control,Monroe,and heavy metals seem to be,the only thing that was for me,and I saw the angels,and I still remember parts of it,a little yellow gloriously,sake,all this time,foreign,last year I bought heirloom pumpkins at,like a fancier health food store I won't,name them and they were super expensive,and I spent so much money on them which,was dumb on my part but I actually got,these from my local grocery store and,they were I think 5.99 a piece and it,didn't matter the size which compared to,what I paid last year I was thrilled I,only got a handful instead of a porch,full and one of my mums was on clearance,and I think it was just because it kind,of grew in a wonky shape it was like,eight dollars and the other one I paid,full price but I really enjoy setting up,like the straw bales and the pumpkins,and the mums like this because it,creates height and some spaces for me to,like work with and set up my Halloween,decor but then once Halloween is over,all I have to do is take away the decor,and my porch is ready for fall so it,works out really well,um yeah and I just like the setup,leave,oh my soul tight early light clear,say my name,say it twice this layer of,everything,in water,foreign,go on the longest journey far away,forget every word we've ever known,the sunrise sunset hopes and dreams,time I can tell,me,some of you might remember when I made,these little bats on my Cricut last year,I just put them in a baggie with my,little sticky tack and I'm using again,this year on my door I love these little,things they were so easy to use and I,think they make such a big impact when,they're up so if you guys are looking,for a craft and you I mean if you have a,Cricket it's great and but even if you,don't,um just get some cardstock and cut your,little heart out and just make sure you,save these things because you know,they're only used for a season and as,long as you're packing them up they work,really well the next one,foreign,y so I'm just going to show you guys,what my porch looks like during the day,and then what it looks like when the,lights you know in the sun kind of goes,down I didn't do it when it was,completely dark but I love the way the,lights twinkle and everything I hope you,guys enjoyed today's video thanks so,much for watching and I will see you fun and I,can't wait for you to see how it all,turned out,all these family-friendly decor ideas,will have all of your trick-or-treaters,smiling at your door alright friends,let's get started,saw my last video you saw that I,decorated my front porch for fall and so,I wanted to give you a little before,shot before we spookify it,we started off by adding some lights,because lights make it all so much fun,and add so much color we have these,shutters here and we use some spiderweb,lights that we got at Walmart all of the,lights that we got are from Walmart,they're the best priced this set is a,hundred lights and I put them on top of,the bushes in a zigzag form I also added,some to the hedges in the back and they,twinkle for a spooky effect,all right the spider webs are on with,some zip ties,see here I bought these last year,and I bought these this year,same exact product can you tell the,difference,um,guys everything is getting so expensive,I mean even the silliest little things,it's just crazy out there but anyway I,did want to add more of these lawn,Stakes because three I felt was not,enough so I lined these up at the very,front,foreign,next we moved on to our inflatable,SpongeBob I love this little guy and I,love putting him here in the corner,where everybody could see him last year,we had people taking pictures in front,of our house with him so he's so much,fun,foreign,there it is,there it is hey hey,there he is yay he's back,next I'm adding some of these purple,dome lights around the Garland that's on,my door I just love the way that these,look against the wall they just have a,really nice glow and it makes everything,super spooky,next I'm moving my fall sign and,replacing it with the trick-or-treat DIY,sign I made a couple years back don't,worry my fall sign is still going to go,up on the wall it's just gonna go up on,my balcony,this little headless scarecrow is one,that I got at Target last year and they,have them again this year I also saw a,variation of them at Walmart and at,Michael's super cute I added this little,pumpkin on top and of course the main,stars of the show today are going to be,these little skeletons I will be putting,them all over the place,I've only had two for the last couple,years but this time we went a little,nuts and got a little creative we went,to Michael's they had them on sale for,about twelve dollars they also have them,at Walmart by the way but,um we just had a lot of fun with these,skeletons you can get very creative,through the bushes we're adding some,spider webs because skeletons and spider,webs are gonna be the theme that we have,going on here we didn't do it on purpose,it just ended up turning out that way,and then we just ran with it,um so yeah we're adding some spider webs,here and then we're setting up the scene,for our skeleton,this webbing could be a little tricky to,work with and it feels like it's real,spider web because it gets stuck on,everything but it's such a like,inexpensive way to make a big difference,in your decor,right now it's time to set up our little,scene here we have this big spider that,we got at Target he is one of three,spiders that you will be seeing and they,all have a special role in our scenes,to set up our skeletons we use some of,these metal poles that we had they're,actually tiki torches we just took the,tiki torch off and we're able to hammer,it into the ground to get our skeletons,to stand up,we wanted to create a scene that would,just make people laugh and smile as they,walked by we have a lot of dog walkers,in our neighborhood so these little guys,here are going to be walking their pets,spiders,thank you,for the leashes we used some brown twine,and to position our skeletons we use,this clear this fishing line in order to,get them to stay in the positions that,we want them to,to attach them to the pole we use some,black zip ties,foreign,cannot keep up with this huge spider,we put another little guy a friend of,his behind him and he has a reaction to,what's going on,thank you,here is spider number two now these,spiders are pretty naughty they are just,causing a lot of trouble in our house,so we set them up to be little naughty,spiders just crawling all over the place,not listening to their owners,just not being very good,we couldn't help but laugh here this,little guy has been a very very bad,skeleton,every time we look at this we just crack,up because that's what we want to do we,want to bring some Joy some festivity to,the neighborhood and this is just a,great way to do that,and these spiders they're just running a,muck in our house,here I'm just showing you what it looks,like in the daytime but you know that at,night it all comes to life,next I'm moving on to the balcony,starting with some pretty lights,look,at my own little cobwebs going oh,natural,guys I just can't help myself this is,who I am I make corny jokes I laugh at,my own jokes,it's just who I am,if a close-knit,community I will say that after I,decorated I saw other people decorating,after I did it just it catches on and it,brings like a fun you know time of year,for our family and I just really
