EASY & SIMPLE HALLOWEEN COOKIE TUTORIAL

hi everyone it's stephanie from little, cookie co i'm so excited to show you, guys this halloween cookie video it's so,adorable and so easy to do so i hope you, join me in making these and let me know, what you think, okay so first thing we need to do is cut,our tipless bag so the seam is always in,the middle of the bag i like to squish,my tip together make sure there's no,icing in there so you get a nice clean, cut, and i always like to test a couple of,lines to see how thick my line is so,when i prefer to thick i don't mean the, icing, consistency i mean the actual, you know, roundness of the icing that's coming out,and if it's really thin line, that's too thin for my outline so i'm,gonna go ahead and cut it again,a slightly bigger cut this time because,i want a thick enough line so that when,i flood my cookie, the flood will stay in that line and not,you know if it's really thin it'll just, kind of go right over the side of the, cookie,so we start by touching down our outline, consistency here,so this is my thicker icing this is,going to keep all that flat inside and i,go really slowly take my time i'm piping, with two hands so i'm holding the bag in,my right hand and i have my left finger, against the piping bag,the reason i do this is it steadies my,hand quite a bit it's really hard to go,slow put pressure on the bag and have, your bag so steady so always two-handed,it really helps to steady that bag,and then i'm gonna go in with my flood,i'm trying to get,as close to the edge as possible with no,not going too much over and as i'm going, over i'm trying to cover my line there a,little bit, here it's kind of didn't go quite as,smooth so i'm smoothing it out to get, going again and get my rhythm back, you can always stop when you're flooding,a cookie if you need to you know, readjust your bag or your hand you don't,have to keep going, you can stop whenever you need to,and then once i'm done here i'm going to,give my cookie a little shake, and it'll settle that icing nice and, smooth and we're going to put it aside,to dry for a little while now that my,layer has crusted over we're going to do,frankenstein's hair so i have my outline, consistency black icing here and i'm,going to do the outline of his hair we,want to use the top third of the cookie, and i like to let my outlines dry for a,few minutes before i go ahead and flood,so i'm going to continue on to another, step here so we're going to do his, eyebrows, which i'm going to make kind of in one,big scar it's going to be a goofy, looking frankenstein,so i touch down and i lift the bag up,and i look at the second point i want to,touch down on so that's what i'm,focusing on going from one point to the, other point not too much worried about, what's going on in the middle, when you lift your bag up for a straight, line like that if you lift it up and, you're kind of stretching that piping, icing line to the second point it'll,fall nice and straight if you're really, close to the cookie it's hard to get a a,nice line that you want to be touching, the cookie and drawing that line across, you want to lift your piping bag and get, that line to fall, nice and even, and then we're just going to put little, lines here touching top to bottom just,to make that scarf, and then we're gonna go in and flood his, hair, and like i said i usually like to let my,outlines you know so even the outline, for the base of the cookie this outline,i like to leave it for a minute or two,it's thick icing it dries pretty quick, and i feel like it just holds the shape, better you don't have to wait for it to,dry that's my preference,i but i feel like it just it just holds, that icing in nice and, well and,i'm gonna go in with my scribe here and, make sure it covers all the edges there, and pull the icing down towards the tips,of the hair they're really small areas, and i can't get in there quite with my,piping bag so that's where the scribe, really comes in handy, and then we're going to move on to his, eyes so i'm going to take my,outline consistency my thick icing, and i'm just going to hold it steady, above, where i want his eye and my bag is,straight up and down and i'm going to,give it a jiggle as i pipe and that just, smooths out the icing at the same time,so that little jiggle the tip of the bag, when i'm piping is just kind of like a,scribe going in there, and it just helps to smooth out the, thick icing right away and then i'm just, going to finish off by smoothing it off, with my scribe as well and then i'm,going to go in with my outline, consistency my thick icing here, and draw a couple of goofy eyes, and if you ever need to smooth anything, out with your scribe you can go ahead, and do that, and again with my thick green icing here, just make a little button nose and then,i'm going to pipe my black line again i,lift up i look at where i want to stop, and that's where i touch down again and, then it gives me a nice straight line,i'm going to let him dry for a minute or,so and when i come back here i can do,the teeth now and i'm gonna try to keep, these teeth as square as possible so,whenever i'm filling kind of thick areas, like this very small areas i keep the,bag really really close i don't want to,lift the bag up i just kind of want the, icing to puddle around the tip,and then i use my scribe to go in and, make them a little bit more square and,do those finer details, and there we go we got our goofy looking, gray cute little frankenstein, now for our next cookie we're going to,make our pumpkin,so i have my flood icing here i'm just, going to squiggle a bunch of lines on,here i just want to get some icing on,here and i'm going to use a clean paint, brush this is a paint brush i only use,for cookies, and i'm just going to spread a thin, layer of this icing here this is going,to be the back of the eyes and the mouth,so just need a thin layer of icing and,you don't need to go all the way to the, edge,i'm gonna let this dry just for a minute,or two,if you have a fan it dries a lot quicker, and then we're gonna come back and use, outline consistency orange here, and you can really draw any face you, want this is the easiest one for me to,do a couple of triangles for the eyes, and then i'm going to do the classic, mouth for the pumpkin, you know the outline of the teeth here, one on the top and two on the bottom, and you can kind of see how he's taking, shape soon, and with the same consistency i'm going,to go around, the pumpkin here again this is my thick, outline consistency it's gonna hold all, that flood in,and i like to let these dry for a few, seconds okay not a few seconds maybe a,few minutes, just to make sure that that icing is not, moving anywhere when i put my flat on it,and here i'm going to take that same, thick consistency and i'm just doing, squiggly lines, around the pumpkin face the eyes and the, mouth, reason being is these are really small, areas in between you know the icing, where i'm flooding, and,it tends to crater so this is just a,little, help to keep that icing nice and fluffy, and not you know crater and make holes, and kind of cave in on itself,so you kind of gotta keep an eye on,where you're going to flood and make, sure you're flooding on the outside of,the pumpkin and in between the correct, lines we don't want to fill in his eyes,or his mouth,i'm taking my time here going slow into, the areas especially around the eyes and, where the mouth i'm going to take my,time and not put too much pressure on,the bag i don't want to,fill these areas these really small, areas i don't want to,fill it with icing because then it's,going to go into the you know into the, mouth and the eyes where it's not, supposed to go so i'm taking my time and,i'm not putting too much pressure on my,bag here, and anytime you need to you know bring, your scribe in and smooth that icing out,get it all the way into the corners i,can see a little bit of outline around, the eyes and the mouth so i'm trying my,best to just pull, and push that icing, and try my best to cover it doesn't have,to be perfect, but you have a few minutes before you, know the icing starts to dry so you can, play around with your scribe in there, and that's the pumpkin one it's pretty, simple, but it's super cute i like it,all right next one up is our dracula,so again i'm going to start with my,outline consistency here, circles are really hard to get perfect,um,so if you can't get a perfect circle, don't worry neither can i i try my best,i've heard a good trick is to look a,little bit ahead of where you're piping,so don't look at the tip of the piping, bag but look ahead of where you're going,so that you try to get a nice circle,um it doesn't work all the time for me,but,we make the best of it i'm gonna let my,outline dry for a couple minutes and, then i come back with my flood, notice how i always start my flood a,little bit inside of the cookie and then,i go towards the edge that little you, know divot there that i have, that is because i don't want to over, flood on the edge so i always start, inside my cookie a little bit,to see how much pressure i need coming, out of that bag because if it's a really, loose flood you put pressure on it it's,gonna just fly out of your bag so,i always do a little test on the inside, and then head towards the outside so i,know how much icing and how much, pressure i need to put on my bag,now that this has crested over we're,going to go in and do the hair, and if you let your cookie dry longer, where you can actually you know use an,edible marker or scrape your scribe in,you can do,you know you can scrape the outlines of,where you kind of want to go i'm,freehanding this it's not always perfect, you know not always centered and,but again you know what it happens we're,not perfect we're here for cute cookies, and good tasting cookies so again i'm,gonna go in my outline has dried a,little bit and i'm gonna go in that, flood, and so here i'm just gonna get that, icing all the way into the corner,i have a little bit too much in that, corner and i'm scared it's gonna drip, over the edge so i kind of pulled it,back away from that corner,i try not to put too much pressure so i,put a lot of pressure then i come to,those points and i kind of let go of the, pressure on the bag so i'm not over, flooding those those areas, the more you practice the more you learn, kind of you know how much pressure to,put at what point and and you know you, don't want to put too much on the edges, that are really small, because that's when i get those little, drips over the sides of my cookies, okay so i'm just going to add his nose, here in the middle before i add his eyes, and again that's my thick icing i want,it to keep its shape, and it's a little tiny area so it,smooths out pretty quick even though,it's thick icing, and i'm going to add his mouth here just,so the line dries while we're working on,the eyes, and i'm gonna grab my thick, icing consistency, and white and again you know holding my,bag straight up and down just jiggling,it a little bit as i do those eyes so,the icing settles,i'm trying to make it kind of a round, bubble, and then i go and i have a little peek, you know when i took the bag away so i'm,just going with my scribe to jiggle it,you know smooth, and then i go in again i'm putting the, eyes in there and i jiggle just the, slightest bit to make it nice and smooth, and anytime you need you go into the, scribe just to make it it's hard you, don't see the little details but there's,little peaks there that i smooth out,and now that my mouth has dried for a,couple minutes, and then i'm gonna go in and make his, fangs here after my line has dried a,little bit and i just pipe a little bit,of icing and then drag it down to make,it to a point you can also use your, scribe to drag it a little bit more, pointy if you need to,but i think he looks pretty good and, there's our dracula, all right on to our mummy cookie i,really love this cookie because it,reminds me of one of the first cookies i,ever made when i started getting into, this, and so i'm really excited to make this, one,so we're going to put some flood icing, here i just need a little bit of a back, background where his eyes are going to,be so again doesn't have to be the whole, cookie, but just enough so we won't see any um,of the cookie underneath it just will be,black, and i'm going to put my orange outline, consistency here and i'm going to make, again a little jiggle so the eyes are, nice and puffy but they get smoothed at,the same time,i like to use like bright colors for the, eyes like orange or green, and makes them kind of glow in the dark, looking so i think it looks really cool, and then again going in with my black, icing here this is my outline, consistency i don't want it thick i,don't want it you know spreading out, like my flat i want it to keep the shape, keep those sharp eyes looking, looking creepy i guess, and then i'm gonna go in with my white, icing, this is my flood here i want something i,can spread easily and just be careful, you don't get too close to the eyes i,just want to fill the rest of the cookie, with white icing, and again using a clean print brush i'm,going to get try to get right to the, edge if i can you might have to go you, know back and forth a few times, don't worry this is not it he's not, finished yet,we still have another step to go once um,once we get this cookie covered, and be careful you don't smudge too much,of the icing into the black you just, want to be gentle around this area, because you don't want to make it,make the black icing wet again and make,it gray,if it does it's okay you can cover it,with the next step don't worry about too, much, and now i'm going to take my thick, outline icing we want to make sure it's,thick so that it holds those lines,if it's puddling together when you're,piping these lines means your icing, isn't thick enough, and so here you can go in any direction, you want i'm just making lines you know, from point a to point b,i'm lifting my piping bag up so touching, down lift up touch back down on the, opposite side of the cookie and just, continue it until, you kind of covered the whole, area white area with lines you can, crisscross some of them, you know go in whichever direction you, want, and you continue until basically you're,happy with it i want to cover you know a,little bit around the eyes here that i,didn't get to so,you can make as many lines as you want,as little lines as you want, alright so now we're gonna outline this, cookie this is my thick consistency, again, you touch down slightly hold up your bag,and go around the cookie as best as you, can,as i come around to the beginning of the, cookie again i slowly lower my bag, closer and closer to the cookie until i,get to the, beginning point to touch my icing back, and close the circle up okay so now,we're gonna go in with my flood icing, here and again flood around the cookie, trying to cover as much as my outline as,possible without you know going too much, over and spilling over those edges, when i get to the middle i can be a,little bit more careless,it doesn't have to be in a circle if you, want to do it zigzaggy whichever way you, want to do your flood go for it,and you can use your scribe or you can, shake the cookie whichever is easier for, you, and if you ever need any tips on you, know how to make icing or you know why,you have so many bubbles in your icing,or craters or a good cookie recipe i've,got it all on my channel if you take a,look, and if you don't find your answers just, leave me a comment under the video and i,can help you out so once this crests, over you can either use a fan to dry to,speed up the process if you're air, drying it takes quite a while you know,it takes a few hours, but uh fan or dehydrator work really, well to speed up the process about 20,minutes half an hour and i can go ahead, and pipe these eyes,so this is my black outline consistency, and i'm just jiggling the bag like we've,done before, and then i'm gonna slightly less, pressure here and with my bag i'm going,to make, two little nostrils, really really small, and then again touch down lift up a,little bit and touch back down that, gives me a nice straight line here, and then i'm gonna again touch down lift,up over my line and back down,so always even the slightest lift just,to make that icing fall nice and i'm not, going right through that line i'm going,on top of it,and that's it and we've got our last, cookie i hope you enjoyed the video and,if you get a chance to make them for, halloween please let me know in the, comments how it goes i would love to see, them you can send me or tag me in your, photos on instagram as well, and i hope you have a happy happy, halloween, and you get to bake some lovely cookies, and we'll see you in the next video, thanks for watching and happy baking, you

Halloween Treat Idea | Beginner Design

Halloween Treat Idea | Beginner Design

I'm excited to show you guys one of my,favorite designs this Halloween so let's,get right into it,we're going to be doing a Frankenstein, pumpkin so we're starting with our green, outline icing, and I'm just hovering right above my,cookie here to get a nice smooth line,if you're too close to your cookie your, line might come out legally or not so,smooth,so this is a way to get a nice outline, once this is done we're going to put it,aside to dry for a few moments and then,we're going to go in and flood the, sections,so now that my outline has dried I'm,going to fill in the middle section here, with some outline consistency this is my,thicker icing again, and this is just to support my icing,so it doesn't cave in on itself, sometimes you get holes or a crater or,kind of dent in your icing so this helps, prevent that, and then I'm going to go around with my,flat icing,I'm just taking my time around the, outline trying to cover it as much as,possible you can always fix things with, your scribe if necessary, and I didn't wait for that outline in,the middle that squiggle to dry I'm just, flooding right over it while it's wet,I prefer this way because a lot of times,it can break off sometimes if it's dry,and then it just floats around in your, icing and doesn't make it look nice so,we want a nice smooth finish and we,don't want that to happen so I don't,wait for it to dry,and then we're going to set this aside, and let that dry,it's about half an hour you know 40,minutes sometimes more depending on how, humid your area is,if you have a fan that speeds up the, process as well but you want that middle, section to dry slightly, before you pipe the outside sections, because if you don't wait all the flood, icing will melt together and you won't,have those separations between the, sections,so here I'm just trying to push the, icing towards the seam you can see where,my tip is,and how far the icing is coming that is,close to that seam,so with the pressure I'm making that, icing pool out of the tip and push up,against itself, and any Corners that you can't get into, with your tip then you can just use your, scribe to pull the icing into those, small sections, and again I'm using a lot of pressure on,my bag my tip is super close to the, cookie and this will make my icing pool, out, and that's where I get that nice clean, line my tip isn't right next to the seam, but I'm pushing that icing as it comes, out towards that seam to to create a,nice smooth line, and I can't get all the way to the top, there I don't want to over flood that, section and ruin my nice kind of line, going down the middle so I'll come back, there with my scribe, and then I'll just continue flooding, here, and then once those sections have, crusted over so they've dried enough for,me to Pipe on top they might not be,fully dry I can go ahead with my next, design on top so I'm using my black, outline icing and notice how close I'm,staying towards my cookie I'm not, lifting up my bags super high because, these are very small lines so I need, control and I need to stay close to my,cookie so I'm not making these massive, lines and when I come down again, that you know I'm way over where I'm,supposed to be,the top of the head is different I have, lots of space to move around so I can, lift my bag up higher, and just fixing any seams you have with, your scribe, sometimes when you attach the icing, there's a bulge of icing so I'm just, smoothing that out a little bit,and then I'm just going to do the tip, here of the pumpkin which is kind of,like a hair as well and just went in,with my outline icing which is my,thicker icing it's just such a small, area I filled it in with that, and that's no problem and I can smooth,it out easily with my scribe,so while the black outline is drying,we're going to move on to the eyes,so I'm going to grab my white outline, consistency, and in one spot with a little wiggle to,smooth out the icing as it comes out,we're going to make the eyes we want to,do these details in outline icing, because we don't want it to flood and, kind of spill over everywhere we want, those eyes to hold their shape and be,nice and 3D,so again if your icing's thick and it,doesn't settle too much you can go in,with your scribe to give it a little, wiggle and it should be nice and smooth, foreign, icing,I'm just going to hold it just above, almost inside but not quite into the, white icing and add a couple of dots for,the eyes,I'm gonna make them crazy eyes but you,can make them however you want and then,go in with my scrub to smooth out any, tips or any Peaks that are left there, and then I'm going to start with his, mouth here so again I'm just touching, down lifting up and then touching down,at the end again this is my all-in,consistency,that's what I use mostly for all the, details and you know fine lines that I,want to hold their shape, scar here on the side so notice again my,piping deck is very very close to my,cookie I'm not lifting it up really high, and that gives me nice control, especially when you have a curve and a,small area you don't want to get too, ahead of yourself, and sometimes your icing doesn't stick, well so you see how I went to go lift up,my bag and the icing wasn't stuck so I,just had to make sure I got it down and, stuck onto the cookie, and adding one more scar on the other, side here as well,I'm sure that my icing is nice, stuck to the cookie cook tiny tiny lines,so here with my outline consistency I'm,just going to make a tooth,so I'm going to try to make it as Square,as possible when I'm while I'm piping, but if it's not perfect I can always, take my scribe and kind of push out the, corners to make it a little bit more,Square looking, then I'm going to do the same on the, other side here again try to make it a,square keeping my Piping Bag nice and, close and then fixing it up with my,scrap, and then I'm going to go back and flood, the hair,so again this outline has dried now, because we were working on the other, sections, and normally in an area like this if it,was right on the cookie and I didn't,have a layer of icing underneath,I may have put a squiggle in it because,it's kind of narrow and it could crater, but the green icing is not fully dry yet,and so another trick to prevent craters,is when you're doing the second layer, you do it before the base fully dries, that helps as well to prevent craters so,sometimes you don't need that extra, squiggle, but you can always put it there as well,if you're worried about it,my flood icing isn't too loose it's a,little bit on thicker side when I know,I'm doing smaller, areas I won't make my flood too loose so,that also helps with craters, and I'm just going to pull down the, icing a little bit here on the corners,of the hair sometimes you can't get, those sharp Corners with your bag so we,use our scribe, and there you have it we have a nice,Frankenstein cookie I think it's such a,fun cookie to make and hope you get a,chance to make it,thanks for watching and as always happy, baking, thank you, foreign

CUTE DECORATED HALLOWEEN SUGAR COOKIES

CUTE DECORATED HALLOWEEN SUGAR COOKIES

hi guys it's hani here welcome to,hanielas halloween is just around the, corner and it's time to make some, halloween cookies today i'm gonna show, you three different designs we're gonna,be making adorable candy corn cookies, silly jacob lantern and spooky cute, ghost cookies i used my sugar cookie, dough recipe to make the cookies and to,decorate i'm using fresh lemon royal, icing you can find both recipes on my,blog link is in the description box, under the, video and this tutorial is brought to,you by wilson welton sent me tons of,stuff from their halloween line like, these adorable halloween cookie cutters, and tons of sprinkles i love sprinkles, they're so fun to use you can use them,on cookies cupcakes brownies cakes this, mega set,has really nice known pearls they have, some purple in them and that's perfect, for halloween,i also got to try wilton's color right, system these are concentrated gel colors, and you can use these to color royal, icing buttercream cookie dough fondant, they come with a mixing chart it gives, you exact measurements of the colors you, need to add to mix a certain color,so we're going to mix purple,i'm adding some, pink, and blue chart also suggests to add red,i ended up just using pink and blue it,worked really well, for the shade of purple i was looking, for, you can see it's nice and purple for all,the tools and recipes be sure to visit,my blog link is in the description box, under the video, and now let's get started with this, tutorial so first i'm going to make, baskets as royalizing transfers i'm,piping 20 second consistency purple, royal icing on a piece of wax paper, underneath there i have a paper template, while purple is wet, take black royal icing also about 20,second consistency and pipe the eyes and,the mouth, and while icing is still wet, shape, black mouth and eyes and then we're,gonna let that dry once dry you can, simply remove the baskets from the wax, paper and now we're gonna build it up,so i'm piping some orange and then, gluing the basket onto the orange and,now you can decorate with sprinkles, dust it with some orange sanding sugar, now carefully shake off the excess and,let these dry again, once dry you can, peel them off you can make these ahead,of time store these in an airtight, container, away from direct sunlight and moisture, with edible marker, mark the outlines for the sections,we're going to use, white, orange and yellow royal icing 15 second, consistency, and if you are new to cookie decorating, and have no idea what 15 second, consistencies be sure to check my,tutorial, about royal icing consistency,i'm going to include the link down below,in the description box,let it dry and now we're going to,add candy eyes, pipe the mouth with piping consistency, black royal icing, now we're gonna attach that cute basket,we made and make the arms,so this is the first design second, design is a spooky cute ghost,i'm using 15 second consistency white, royal icing, notice i'm not going all the way down,we're going to ice this section with, white and then then the bottom is going,to be light gray,to make the gray i just add a tiny, amount of black to my white real icing, now immediately, take the gray, and flat this section, and now with a needle tool,we're going to shape the gray you can, really drag it into the white rail icing, accentuate the points and just shape it,you have to do this though while the, white icing is still wet if you wait too, long then it starts to crust and,it won't be,this nice let it dry and then we can, attach candy eyes and i'm also going to,add, some bats,to make the cheeks i'm using pink, cluster dust and clean, dry food only paint brush, this is a super simple cute design,my second ghost design,it's,a almost the same it starts off the same, but we're also going to add, arms, and some halloween lights, and a mouth i'm using piping consistency,to make the mouth now to make the arms,we're going to use white and light gray, and between the arms, pipe a black line, and then we can attach, pumpkin sprinkles these are the lights, super cute so that's the second design, ghost, and my third design is a silly jacob, lantern,so with edible marker, draw the outline for the mouth on a,cookie you really don't need a template, for this you can go,and just have fun with different shapes,of mouth you can, look them up online if you're not sure, and then with black oil icing 15 second, consistency outline and flat the mouth, place the cookie onto the black sanding, sugar, and then you can shake off the excess, use a dry brush if needed let that sit,for about 10-15 minutes and then,use,15-second consistency orange oil icing, and outline and flat the cookie, let it crust for at least an hour or two,and then, make the stem with, green real icing 20 second consistency, add some, orange and black nonparallels, and now with piping consistency we're,gonna pipe, vertical lines, across, now we're gonna attach, candy eyes, aren't these silly these are so fun now, another option instead of black sanding, sugar you can use those fun, gnome pearls i mentioned in the, beginning, with some purple in them these are, really fun,and then just repeat the same process, and here are the finished silly jacob, lantern cookies i love how this turned, out this was such a fun, halloween cookie decorating tutorial and,i hope you guys enjoyed it as well let,me know which of these cookies is your, favorite and again thanks to wilton for, sending me all the fun halloween cookie, cutters sprinkles and food colors if you, haven't already be sure to subscribe to,my youtube channel hit the bell HALLOWEEN IDEA You Need to Try | PUMPKIN COOKIE

HALLOWEEN IDEA You Need to Try | PUMPKIN COOKIE

in this one we're going to learn how to,make a spooky black pumpkin so I have my,pumpkin cutter here this is a Wilton, cutter from the Wilton 101 box of cookie, cutters,I'll link that below for you guys but,you can really use any cutter or any, pumpkin cutter for this,so the first thing I'm going to do is,I'm going to add some orange flat icing, and I'm just going to use a paint brush,to spread it nice and thin here this is,going to be our background of the eyes, and the mouth,so we're kind of doing like a reverse, pumpkin here we're gonna go with like, orange glowing eyes and have a black, pumpkin on top I set this aside for a,little bit for it to dry so now you can,see that it's kind of matte looking it's,nice and dry and I'm going to go in with,my black outline icing, and always remember when you're doing, kind of these outline shapes for the, eyes and the mouth,I always try to make them a little bit, bigger than I think I want them to be,because when you end up flooding them, they kind of get smaller looking,so just keep in mind if you're making, very small details make them a little, bit bigger than you think it should be,because it always ends up looking, smaller in the end,so I'm just adding a couple eyes here, and then I'm going to do like a scary, looking mouth I'm just keeping my bag, really close to the cookie so I have, full control going back and forth now, there's a lot of up and down and kind of,points here so that's why I'm keeping it,close because if I lift my bag those are, very small lines I'll run out of space,so that's a face I want to make sure, that everything ended up on that orange, part that's why I tried to cover as much,as the cooking orange as I could, and then I'm going to do the outline of,the different sections of the pumpkin,so we're going to do the middle first, and then add the sides, and my outline is a little bit looser, than normal usually when I do black it,tends to do this because you add so much, color that your icing is stiff to begin, with, but you had so much gel color that it,kind of loosens it up so again if it's,not working for you you can always,re-bag your icing I tend to be lazy, sometimes and I don't want to change it,I kind of know how to work with a little, bit of a looser icing does it give me as,crisp the design sometimes it doesn't,and if it bothers me a lot I'll change,it,but if it's working for me then I'll,just kind of go with it and sometimes I,think like you know what we'll see how,far I can get without changing it so,here I've added all my lines, and those will be the different sections,I know it looks kind of crazy you're,gonna have to trust the process on this, one,it'll all come together I promise, and so this is the important part here,so we're gonna put our outline icing, little squiggles here, now these are very small areas so we,don't want them to Crater we want them,to stay nice and rounded and puffy,so I'm going to add this thicker icing, first and then flood on top so that it,kind of supports the flood creators hop,in because the icing on the outsides or,any icing that's kind of touching the, outline dries a little bit quicker than, the inside and so what happens is the, inside will cave in on itself so this, kind of helps prevent that collapsing in,so I usually do it like I said with my,outline icing I don't wait for it to dry,I just go in and flood right away, because that works for me,some people like to let it dry so it's,really up to you,and then I'm going in very carefully, with a light pressure and the reason I'm,using light pressures because these are, small areas if I go in there and just, squeeze my bag really hard it's just, going to come out and cover my outline, and that's not what I want I want to,make sure those sections stay nice and, separate to get that real pumpkin, looking you know cookie look, and normally I like to cover my outlines,as much as possible so I'm going with my,scrub a little bit to get all those, little corners,to make them nice and sharp, but I don't want to cover it too too, much on the sides because I want that, separation so that outline is going to,give me those kind of separate sections,of the pumpkin so you don't want to,cover them too much,if you cover it too much and you go to,flood the other side sometimes they kind,of can join there's still a little bit,of a separation but not quite that bumpy, separation that I'm looking for and one, thing to keep in mind when you're making, cookies is what your designs entail so,if you're doing smaller sections like, this and that's mainly your set of,cookies I would do like a thicker flood,if you're doing huge cookies where, you're flooding the whole base then you, know I would do a little bit of a,thinner flat so it settles on its own,but thicker floods work better for, smaller areas because you have more, control and you're not you know flooding,it and it's kind of just going, everywhere,so you have more control that it's not, seeping out of your bag really quickly,um and you also have more control of the, pressure on the bag a little bit of,pressure will give you a little bit more, icing but if you have really loose icing, and you put a lot of brush in your bag, then it's just going to come flying out,so there's a lot of little different, things going into a set and to make it,easier for yourself and the more cookies, that you make and you decorate the more, you'll figure out kind of what's your, style and what you need to do to make, your life easier, and so I'm just flooding opposite, sections here so notice I started in the, middle, and now I'm flooding the sides and again, the reason for that is I want to dry, these sections first before I flood the, inside once, because I want that separation if I,flooded everything at the same time it,would all kind of melt together and make, one flat surface, but I won't wear those lines are coming, from the top to the bottom I want that, separation so this will give me that, separated look, and if you guys are looking for a royal, icing recipe cookie recipe and all those, things I have everything on my channel, you can go in my playlist as well and, find all the information there and I,usually link some of them Below in the, description under the video here I'm,just going to add a little bit of orange, icing to the stem this is just my,Outland consistency very small area I,just kind of add a big doll of icing, there and smooth it out with my scribe, nice and simple and easy, pumpkin cat looks cool now but we're,gonna keep going and finish it off,so again I'm going in with my outline, consistency here and you know you try as,much as possible sometimes you can't get,in all those little tiny spaces so you,do your best, sometimes I just put a line if I really, can't get a squiggle in there that's,fine too that helps, and we're going to go in with our flood, and again very small areas you can see, where the tip of my bag is versus how, much I have there to flood so I don't go,right to the corners if I can't get in,there and I'll just get that with my,scribe later and then I slowly as,smoothly as possible I go up against the, seam, just to get a nice even line, and just fill it in nicely and I'll,smooth any areas I need with my scrub, and I'll pull out those Corners there so,you see on the bottom I'm just pulling,my icing right to the corner with my,scribe,I'm just dragging my subscribe on the,top of the icing just to get some extra, icing there and I sometimes go even past, the corner just so the icing hooks on,there,it kind of attaches to the end of the, cookie there where it attaches to the, outline, and then it stays where it's supposed to,be,and then for our last section,we're going to go in and do the same, thing I'm just taking my time not too, much pressure so I have control they're,small areas, especially where it's really thin and, narrow I go really really light pressure,I don't want to go over my outline and, ruin you know the design, and notice how the sides are kind of,matte looking they still have a shine, but not as much as the wet icing, because those are crusted over, and so now when I flood these areas, there's a nice separation happening, there and once it's all dry it'll kind,of all look like the same matte sort of,finish, but you'll have that nice separation, foreign

Cute Halloween Cookie Tutorial - SIX designs!

Cute Halloween Cookie Tutorial - SIX designs!

hey guys it's an york's from the flower, box and i'm super excited to be bringing, you a halloween cookie tutorial now for, halloween i'm definitely a big softy I,don't like anything scary,so these cookies are maximum cute today,I'm going to show you how to make a cute, pumpkin wearing sunglasses,a ghost holding a candy corn and a,really cute spider on a spiderweb now, each of these are going to be paired, with an adorable stencil that is,exclusive to the flower box I'll show, you how to make the coolest pumpkin in,the patch I'm just here for the candy, and too cute to spook all of these, essential cutters and stencils are, available in the cute Halloween cookie, decorating kit you can find that on,flower box bakery calm and it comes with, all of the cutters and stencils that, you'll see in today's video plus check, out the blog post for this tutorial it,has three free downloadable templates, and three royal icing transfer pattern, sheets that you can download and I give, you an icing guide for each of the, projects alright are you guys ready to,see these cookies, let's cookie it up,I'm gonna start off with using my cookie, projector this is just going to project, the image onto the surface of the cookie,so that I have a little bit of a guide,as I spread a thin layer of black icing, onto the pumpkin and this is my favorite, way to make pumpkins because it creates,a more dimensional looking carved, pumpkin so we don't need a full layer of,black icing just a thin layer spread on,with the spatula and then using the, guide from the projector I can pipe the, pumpkins mouth and nose now you, definitely don't need a projector to do,that part, you can certainly freehand it because,it's not a complicated decoration, however I like the consistency that the, projector provides so if you have one it,is helpful to use it and you can use our, free downloadable template on flower box, bakery comm so that you can match it up,with this pumpkin shape that's in the,kit now again I am bringing back the, projector to trace the outline of the, lenses on the sunglasses and the, projector is super helpful with this but,I've also provided a royal icing, transfer sheet with these glasses on it,as well so if you don't have a projector, you can make those lenses the day before, and add them to the cookie while the, orange icing is still wet so I used a,tip number one point five to outline the, sunglasses I flooded in the icing with, black and now I'm just adding some white, highlights just to give the glasses a,little pop and dimension so the face of,our pumpkin is done and he's looking, super cool now it's just time to add the, details I'm using a thin piping, consistency to pipe a zigzag pattern for,the pumpkin stem and then I have a,number two tip on my orange icing bag,and I'm just going to add some pumpkin, lines this is such a time-saver,compared to flooding that, pumpkin in phases to create those lines,so that's another way you can make these, pumpkins but just piping the line, certainly saves a lot of drawing time, and then to finish off this cookie I'm,using tip number 67 this is a leaf tip,and I'm just gonna add that big leaf, over the top of the pumpkin it almost, looks like his bangs I think it's,hilarious now I'm going to show you how,to stencil the coolest pumpkin in the, patch and this is the perfect match if,you're making cookie sets this Halloween,so I line up my stencil on a three and a,half inch round cookie I let that icing, base dry for at least six hours because,I'm putting pressure on the surface of,the cookie and then I'm using stiff, black icing to stencil and I'm just, gonna make sure that I cover that, stencil completely with the black icing,I'll remove the excess it just gives you,a cleaner looking image and then it also, allows you to reuse your stencil, multiple times usually I find I can, reuse a stencil six to twelve times, before I need to clean it and come back, again and then before I'm done with this, round cookie I'm going to add a piped, outline and that just brings the cookie, together and makes it a quick and easy, pairing with our pumpkin which took a,little bit more effort the second cookie, set that I'm going to show you is a cute, ghost that's holding a candy corn, and I'm gonna make these candy corns the,day before I decorate cookies so after I,mix my icing colors I'll make these, royal icing transfers and I just have, the image sheet behind a piece of,parchment I'm using a tipless bag and, xxii icing and I'm just using that, transfer sheet as a guide as I fill in,these candy corns then all at the candy, corns dry overnight and after 12 to 18,hours those candy corns they just pop, right off and they're great to use, because they're a really consistent, icing accent and you don't need a,projector to do them so I outline my,ghost with a tip number two and I have,my flood icing in my tipless bag I'm,just gonna flood in that Ghost I love to,be generous with that base layer and, then I drop my candy corn transfer onto, the wet icing you can give it a little, nudge if it's not quite in the right, place now I'm gonna use my airbrush this,is totally optional but I'm gonna use my,airbrush to add just a hint of blue, maybe to make this ghost appear like,it's translucent so I mix pearl with,Hawaiian blue I'm using my airbrush gun,on low speed and light pressure just to,control the air flow and I just hit the, edges of that cookie I was worried about, getting blue airbrush color on the candy, corn but that didn't happen because I,kept my airbrush gun pointed directly, down on to the cookie and so the color, really didn't blow anywhere else on the, surface of that light I did provide a,template for this cookie so if it helps, you to use the template with your cookie, projector definitely download that on,the blog post but I'm just gonna, freehand these arms and sometimes I find, free handing a little bit challenging, but for these arms I just kept in mind, that they had the shape of a jelly bean, and so as I was flooding them and I just, kept to that curved jelly bean shape and, overlapped the arms on to the candy corn, then for the ice I'm using black and, white flood all flood the black eye on,first and then I'll add two tiny dots of,white for the catch light I'm adding the, black eyelashes and the smile with the, food doodler marker and it's so easy to,put these markers through the surface of,the icing so definitely make sure that, your cookies been drying for at least, four to six hours so that you can feel, confident using that marker tip on the, surface of the icing without poking, through now it's the fun part I'm just, gonna pipe a few final details and I,love how the folds really kind of bring, this ghost to life make it look like,it's floating again I'm free handing, this because I've done it a few times, but if that's not in your comfort zone, certainly use the template to help guide, those pipelines now I almost forgot I,want to blush these cheeks sometimes, adding that little blush cheek makes all,the difference and takes the cookie to,the next level so now that I've showed, you how to make this cute ghost I'll,show you how to stencil the I'm just, here for the candy again I'm on the, round three and a half inch circle, cookie I'm using black stiff icing and,I'm covering that stencil completely and, when I peel back the stencil it's almost, like peeling back a sticker I want to,just gently remove the stencil so I,don't smudge or shift any of the icing, and I'm ready to pipe my outline and, that cookie is good to go so we have set, number two all ready to go now let me,show you my third and favorite cookie, set this is going to be a cute spider on,a spider web,and I've switched my tips on that black, icing I've switched to tip number three, because I really want to see that black, outline on this cookie as part of this, spiderweb design I'm going to flood in,completely with my white icing and while,it's still wet I'm going to add some, circles using my black icing this is,again the flood icing and now it's time,to do a little bit of marbling I'm going,to take my scribe and pull that scribe, through the icing at each point of the, spiderweb and to add just a little bit,of extra cute notice how I wiggle my,scribe at the end and create a little, curl I just think that adds a little bit,of whimsy to an already cute design now, let's add this cute spider and again I'm,gonna freehand this purple oval onto the, spiderweb but I did create a transfer, sheet if you want your spiders to be the, same size from cookie - cookie, definitely create these spiders as a,royal icing transfer, let's take a close up look at making, these eyes this is a wet on wet on wet,on wet I don't know if that's too many, wets but we're gonna start off with our, white flood then we're gonna add green, flood icing and a tiny dot of black, blood and all of those icings are going,to melt down into one level and we're,gonna add those little white catch, lights and it just creates this really, dimensional cute big eye on these, spiders now if you don't want to mix, those extra icing colors you can, certainly make a simple face on this, spider and it would still be super cute, but this style of I definitely calls a,lot of attention to that spider I,blushed her cheeks with some of the, carnation pink and added a smile and now,I'm just piping her legs with a little, teardrop of icing for the feet we're,almost done I'm just gonna add a,loop-de-loop spider web poured the, spider as she's coming down off her web,and that spider is definitely too cute,to spook so let me show you how to make, the cookie that goes with this again I'm,using the three and a half inch circle, with my stencil I'm using stiff black, icing and I'm gonna add an outline to,the edge of the cookie now if you want,to dress these cookies up a little bit,you can airbrush an image on the, background before you stencil the words,so I've done that on each of these, cookies you can see the comparison and I,just recommend when you do that that you, make sure the background isn't so,distracting that you can't read the, words so notice I've used airbrush, colors that are the same color as the, background or on the white I've used,so far but it adds a really nice pop and, pattern to those cookies, they work awesome packaged in a,nine-inch box together or you can put, them all together as one big collection, and all those colors are really playful, and work off of each other now I would,be so flattered if you recreated these, cookies so tag me at firebox bakery or,use hashtag flower box bakery on social, media I would love to see what you come,up with and if you're looking for those, free templates and pattern sheets check, out the blog post at flower box bakery, com where we have all those freebies and, more for you to use that's all for today,as always happy decorating

How To Make Ghost Cookies "Sugar Cookies" (Halloween) - By One Kitchen Episode 275

How To Make Ghost Cookies "Sugar Cookies" (Halloween) - By One Kitchen Episode 275

hey guys the tradition I'm Julia,Saturday it's time for another Halloween, recipe and today I'm going to show you,how to make some girls to sugar cookies,so this is started so for my cookie, dough I am going to use some sugar one, lightly whisk egg flour some butter that,I've just cut into small cubes some, little extract you can also just use see, some a little pot and then I'm going to,use some ammonium carbonate I'm not sure,if I am pronouncing correctly but I'll,just write it down below in my,description together all of my other, ingredients so first up I'm just going,to mix my flour and ammonium carbonate, together skew it a quick stir I got an,undersized add in my butter while my,machine is staring, and now just in my Shiva and give it a,quick stir and vanilla extract and my,life with it,and I'm just going to stir this around, until I have a cookie tower and then I'm,going to wrap it up in some foil and, place in the fridge you can use just, place it in there for a few hours but,I'm choosing to place it in there, overnight because I have to do a lot of,stuff today so yeah I am going to see,you tomorrow when I am rolling might do,out but human is just heaven there for,at least two hours so two to four hours, and then they are ready to be ruled out,so it is now the next day after I have, made my cookie dough and I just took a,little part of it just need a tiny bit,and then I have just rolled it out here, and if you think your dough is it too, hard out of the fridge and just knead it,well until it gets a bit more soft just, like I've done here and it is to the, little portion of it and I have one, small ghost cookie cutter here I thought,it was a bit better when I bought online, but well we are going to make some small, ghost cookies and what I'll do now is,just to cut them in my dough here so,just down in the dirt and press like, that and then we have a fine little, ghost and I just have a baking sheet, buddy over here with some baking paper,on and I'm just going to Pat them on,there so just keep making ghost,so I'll just keep repeating this process, making all of my cookies and then taking,a little dump both don't need that add, some flour and roll it out make some, more cookies just keep going until all,of my cookie dough is used,so I have already prepared two sheets of,cookies there's already made 16 min ago,and I have a lot of dough left there, will be at least 200 mini ghost cookies, and now I'm just going to turn on my,arms of 175 degrees C Commissioner and, when that is ready I'm going to place my,two sheets of cookies into the oven for, about five minutes or until lightly, golden brown and out of that I'm going,to prepare a table with some banging, paper on and just take all of the, cookies out there and place on the table,to cool and I'll just keep repeating, this process until all of my cookie, dough is,but I also want to decorate my cookies, and make them look a lot more like girls, than just the cookie itself after that,I'm going to make a royal icing and I'm,just going to use some his rice egg, white and some icing sugar for this, royal I think I am just going to add my,egg white in here and then in with some, icing sugar and I'm just going to keep, adding icing sugar until that I have the, consistency that I want just make six,and it is making a small portion of,royal icing today because I'm not going,to decorate all of my cookies if you, want to deal with all of the cookies you, have to make a much bigger portion of,royal icing and I think the consistency,is there now it looks great and I just, preferred a piping bag with a tip out, here with just a little and I'm just, going to place my royal icing in there, and then over to so I have my brother, icing ready here and I have like no,equipment for this so when I want to,kind of make it a bit more even I am,just using a regular tooth pick but I am,just going to ice some of my cookies now,and they are of course completely cooled,so now that my white brother icing is on,my piggies and it is now dry up I am,going to use some of my left overall I,think to add in a little bit of black, food coloring to make the eyes and the, mouth on my goose and I am just going to,add a few drops in here and mix that, around and I'm just going to keep mixing,up to this ball well combined so now, that my black royal icing is done I am,just going to paint some eyes and mouth,on my cookie dough's and when that is,all dried up they are ready to be served, you would also easily keep them in a,cookie jar for about a week or so,so I really hope you enjoyed the recipe, for my ghost cookies effort to give them,a girl just got that education and you, would find all these being found there, and don't forget subscribe to my channel, here and I hope to see you all I get it,tomorrow

hey guys welcome back to my channel, today i'm going to show you how i made, these four easy halloween designs, you'll notice this icing is thicker than, what i normally use to flood a cookie, this is probably closer to piping, consistency and i normally use 20 second, consistency, this is not ideal to flood a cookie but,you can definitely make it work you can, either just quickly use your scribe tool,to smooth it out or what i did with this, cookie is i picked it up and shook the, cookie which will help the icing smooth, out a little quicker, you'll want to let that first section, crust over before moving on and then, just use that same icing to flood the,top section and then also the bottom, feet of the cauldron so you'll notice i,went in and i thought i had enough icing,i ended up thinking it needed more so i,added a little bit more, for those feet, now for the green potion part of the, design i just used piping consistency, icing, and just kind of worked in sections i,would just do bigger circles and smaller, circles and then use my scribe tool to,kind of flatten out the tip,of the icing when i would pull the bag,up it would leave a tip and so i would, just kind of flatten that out a little, bit, and then just work my way down the side,of the cauldron, next up is the broom and this is a,really simple quick design i just used, brown icing for the handle, and once that had crested over i went in,with thick yellow icing and just um,kind of shaped it where it would look, like like a,broom normally does where it's got the, bristles at the top and then i had them, kind of flowing out at the bottom and i,left a little bit of space there for, lines to go horizontal um and then i,just kind of layered them where it,looked a little, more um,3d so there's going to be a lot of,bristles there, okay for the bat design you'll also, notice this flood icing is a little, thicker than what i normally use i kind,of had a running theme um with this, video with my flood icing being too, thick, but again you just can use your scribe, tool to smooth that out quickly or pick, the cookie up and gently shake it and it,will smooth the icing out and i was just, being a little bit lazy with these, designs and i was wanting to get the, icing to work for more than one thing, for the detail work on the bat i used, that exact same icing just in a smaller, tip um so this is piping consistency and,i'm just outlining uh the wings and the, body just kind of trying to make it look,as bat-like as possible, the last design in the set is the ghost, and i think this is the only one where i,used a good consistency for the sled, this is what i normally use which is,called 20 second consistency,um and so you're just gonna outline and, flood immediately and you'll see it just, melds together really quickly and sets,up really well and you'll want to let, this set before moving on to the next, step, once the icing has dried for six to,eight hours go in with an edible marker, and draw on the eyes and the mouth, use that same black piping consistency, icing and draw a line going across the, ghost, and then go in with your edible marker, and draw kind of a guideline of where, you're going to have the banners go,grab whatever color icing you want and, fill in those banners and then once, those have fully dried we'll go in and, write the word boo across them, and that's it thanks so much for, watching and for being here it really, means so much to me if you aren't,already subscribed please hit the, subscribe button and ring the, notification bell i have several more, halloween designs coming up before, moving into fall and christmas so lots,of good videos coming your way thanks so,much for watching and i'll see you next, time, you
