Halloween Decorating Ideas | Decorate the House with me

what is up you guys welcome back to,another decorate with me video today we,are decorating the remainder of the,house we are going to decorate the,living room the mantel,and the powder room as well and i gotta,switch out all of the scents so right,now i'm switching out the oils and the,wall diffusers as well as our towels and,just everything so that it is swapped,out so that it is spooky season goodness,and everything has all the vibes so i,got this new wall plug which i thought,was so cute so i switched out everything,in the powder room and i'll share more,of that in a future house tour whenever,i do a decorated house tour i switched,out the table runner which is new as of,this year and i love it so much it adds,a ton of ambiance which is so cute so,then from there i cleaned up the living,room i tossed all the pillows into the,living room that are all halloween,themed,subbed out my regular coasters for these,very very cute ray done pumpkin coasters,and we finished off hotel transylvania 3,because we had started it in a previous,video,and then i wanted to do the coffee table,now this piece i just want to say i,think is my favorite piece of decor for,the season,at first i was confused not gonna lie,and this was sent to me by a very good,friend kelly and i had no idea what she,was talking about and then i received it,and i thought it was the greatest thing,i had ever seen,second place this guy,so between the mummy and the fish tank i,just,i'm so happy so this is a smaller,version of the mummy that i had from,last year so he fit perfectly on the,mantel i wasn't sure how i was gonna do,the mantel yet and just like in other,videos i usually refer back to my videos,from the previous year to see how i did,things but i tried not to do that this,year just you know to give it a fresh,flow and do things a bit differently,usually i have this guy on the mantel,and he ended up actually going elsewhere,so there's a lot of things that moved,around i love this put a spell on you,book and i feel like it goes perfectly i,got this eyeball from michael's last,year i think it was and i think they do,still sell it and it just reminded me of,the hocus pocus vibes and the book so,those go together on the mantel and,these little candle holders i got them,in a pack of four off of amazon not a,halloween decoration but just goes so,well with these candles that you just,screw the bottom you put two batteries,in there you twist the bottom and it,turns on kind of like a real flickering,candle just no fire hazard and then the,other thing that i do is i will put real,candles but i'll show you how i make,them look real without actually lighting,them just because i have cobwebs and,stuff all around let's not light the,candles and also why so i have had this,particular candle the gather candle i,love it it's a really old bath and body,works candle that i love the smell of i,just don't want to burn it,and then these ropes i've had them for a,while they were actually just cut off of,an old laundry hamper that we had,upstairs and i thought that they were,really cool they kind of looked like a,noose so i just tucked them underneath,of a few heavier pieces and i just kind,of twist it around and it really does,just kind of have that vibe but this,year we took the mantle up a notch so,i'm really excited so i did some cobwebs,i actually had to pull them off,afterwards and restart which was the,most,frustrating thing cobwebs are not an,easy thing to do i feel like less is,more and the more that you can pull it,thin the better it looks if you keep it,too thick it doesn't look that great so,i was kind of struggling with it and it,did look good but i had to take it down,because i'm going to show you what i got,i got such good finds this year at,walmart of all places so i ended up,doing what i usually do i do the cobwebs,from the top of the tv on the left side,down there's a trick to this and i've,shared this with you guys before if you,start on the left top side and work your,way diagonally to the right to the eye,it will just look better so when you're,decorating if you can do things that way,it will just look better so top left,side of the tv cobwebs come down all the,way down to the bottom right on the,opposite side so i filled this sucker,with cobwebs and it's too bad that i,needed to take it apart and restart so,fresh start hollow wishes the next night,we made a margarita i wanted to share,this with you guys i've been sharing it,a lot on my instagram but i started, my margaritas with tahin and,it's basically like a chili lime,flavoring and the other thing i added,for halloween was some black,sea salt and i also mix it with some oak,smoked sea salt and then i just for,filler i put in some pink himalayan rock,salt so i just put that mixture together,in this little margarita,shaker situation bowl topper whatever,you would call it and that way i'm good,to go every single time that i want to,make a margarita now the way that i make,a margarita is ancho chile reyes mezcal,lime juice love this quick lime bottle,and some fresh i say fresh pickled,because it's handmade fresh pickled,jalapeno juice and i put that in there,and it is delicious it's spicy but,because it's pickled and not fresh,jalapeno it doesn't kill me as much so,this is one of the finds that i got at,walmart these i think were like two,dollars each you put the batteries in,you twist them just like the michael's,ones but they're two dollars and they,have the little stand they're so cool,so i put those on the mantel alongside,some,fake candles which i will show you in a,second got to replace the batteries on,those and then i did some fairy lights,as well but look at how cute these,little candle sticks are by the way i,love this ghostbusters the ones with the,one with the girls the music is so good,and it's hilarious so these are the,flickering candles and this is how i,make the real candles look fake i just,put a little tea light in there but the,the walmart candlesticks i was very,impressed and there's like a little,cobweb on there super cute i got this,last year that little tombstone i got,that at spirit halloween put them right,in the middle between the two candles,this was the other find i got at walmart,what,so i got this nightmare before christmas,bag of jack skellington's and then i got,this for like i think it said 398 and,that's canadian so it's this black mesh,comes with a bunch of bats i did not use,the bats but you totally can but this,mesh i only needed,this piece because i cut it that like,along the long way like the length i cut,it in half and i draped it,this i just feel like this made it look,so much better and it was three dollars,so i draped this across the front of the,mantel and this was why i had to kind of,pull off the cobwebs,and i just feel like it made the rope,pop so much more it made the candles pop,it made oh and then i draped the rope,through this guy's hand that hand i'm,pretty sure i got him at michael's also,dead man's toe candle is from last,year's halloween,hocus pocus party which,we can't talk about the fact that,there's no hocus pocus this year it is,the biggest disappointment of my life,alongside the fact that there is no,hotel transylvania 4 what happened so,sad okay i did a battery haul from,amazon i get all my batteries from,amazon so much cheaper so these as well,as the one in the last video that i,shared with you guys they all take these,types of batteries like basically what,you'd put in a watch so i subbed out all,the batteries that were in these these,had lasted me quite a few halloweens but,i love the vibe of these they're like a,metallic like they're dripping,so they go perfectly on the mantel and i,put those in all the candle holders as,well as topping any of the real candles,with them so when the lights are out it,actually looks like the candle itself is,on when it's not at all,so then i moved into my office oh i,didn't say that we were going to,decorate my office we're decorating my,office i had a very like harvesty kind,of look to the office to keep with the,boho theme so i had that really cute,gnome an extra pumpkin that little,pumpkin is from michaels they still do,sell it,and i had this cute little mickey,succulent that i paid way too much for,he's from box lunch but he's the tiniest,little thing and then i subbed out,anything that i had as a pencil holder,or scissors holder i used my measuring,cups for that i had this cute mummy and,i was going to put these orange candle,sticks but they didn't fit at all so i,used the blood dripping ones you can get,those at spirit halloween they're really,cool i used them last year and you just,light them and they kind of drip red,it's really cool added some lights,my gnome,snow globe which is really cute next to,the rock salt lamp and i've got my,little pencil case pencil holder i love,this pumpkin,holder i use it for my remotes and then,i had more fairy lights in here this,pumpkin was a diy project i did two,years ago i think it's all it was all,filmed so you can go find that video and,then i just added a couple little,details of books i really want to read,that super excited to read those books,and then my little jack and sally this,guy's a giveaway by the way next week,that stitch is gonna be the added some more fairy lights so,you can get these really cool fairy,lights i will either go orange or purple,and they're very halloweeny they're very,perfect,so i've re-fixed up all of the,cobwebs i folded some blankets put some,pillows away i got carl a ghost host bed,from our not so scary collection and i,just want to say i don't know if he,knows that mommy made the bed for him,but he loves this bed so we have the,same one as part of our christmas,collection and he has that one,he loves it,it's a it's a bougie bed for a little,dude um i did end up getting the,succulent head the mummy sucker is a,skeleton,love that and then this witch's brew i,put some black moss in the bottom from,michael's with a little picks picks and,sticks of some pumpkins and it just,turned out super super well i'm not,quite done with this spot of the house,but i do love it i'm super happy with,the way that everything turned out and,honestly if you guys loved this type of,video and just want more EASY HALLOWEEN DECORATE WITH ME 2022 👻🕸 | DIY Indoor + Outdoor Halloween Decorations For Your Home!

thank you,hello everyone what is up and welcome,back to my channel if you are new here,hi my name is Katie I live in Orlando,and I make all shopping and Shop with me,home decor and DIY Home Decorating,content and this is my first ever,Halloween decorate with me I have never,really decorated for Halloween before so,yesterday I did a massive Halloween,decor haul showing everything I bought,to transform our home inside and outside,for Halloween in today's video you're,going to be getting indoor and outdoor,decorating tips and some really fun DIYs,that are super easy and affordable without further Ado let's,get into my 2022 how Halloween decorate,with me while I am so excited to be,decorating for Halloween I was a little,sad to be taking down my fall Decor,because I just really love how it came,out if you missed that video I will have,it linked down below I did a cozy fall,decorating with me for my Halloween,decor I kind of wanted it to be similar,to my fall Decor but just with a more,spooky twist you are going to notice in,this video there are a ton of easy,decorating ideas and I did keep things,pretty simple I wanted to first start,off with my TV stand this is such a,focal point in our living room that I,knew I wanted to start here I started,off by just emptying everything that was,there which includes this sound bar if,you have any ideas on how to make that,sound bar more aesthetic definitely let,me know down in the comments below but,here I'm using some like drop cloth that,is spooky kind of like mesh cloth from,Joanne's originally I bought this for,another space but I realized that it was,like 25 feet long so I decided to just,cut it and then get the most use out of,it so I kind of just started stretching,it over this piece which I feel like,Honestly made such a big difference I,really really love how this came out and,it's such an easy way to transform a,piece of furniture you can find this,cloth at so many different stores just,don't do what I did don't sit there and,like nitpick over the draping of it it's,going to fall and evolve naturally you,just gotta let it happen,thank you,thank you,if you have seen any of my other,decorating videos you know the classic,Katie method is just bring everything,over and do a ton of trial and error I,honestly was wanting to kind of keep,similar Decor pieces that I had in my,fall decorating but just get the,Halloween versions of them and pro tip,right here that somebody else gave me in,my last video if you don't want your,Candlestick to move around just kind of,melt it a little bit and then stick it,down on in there and it will not move,again such a good tip that somebody,taught me so I wanted to pass it on to,you guys but like I was saying I kind of,wanted to keep similar pieces to what I,had so before I had like a plant a,candle and some candelabras and I kind,of wanted to keep that same theme going,because I really like the way that that,stack looked but I just changed it into,a Halloween stack you'll see that again,here I changed out the fall elements and,put in some Halloween ones by adding a,black pumpkin and this tiny little,plastic skull that I got for like a,dollar from Michael's and then also just,changing out the stem that I had in here,from like that beautiful cognac leather,colored stem into some more Halloween,focused colors,I was really excited to change over my,couch from Fall to Halloween because I,feel like the pillows that Brian and I,picked out already go really well with,the pillows that we have in the room and,just really well with the overall color,palette that I already have in here the,fall pillows I just never felt 100 about,them like that orange pumpkin pillow I,love it so much but I feel like next,year I'll definitely use it up in the,loft where I'm going to be decorating,with a little bit more color than what,we have down here in our main living,space but I do love these Halloween,pillows so so much all of them are from,Target and they are all Linked In My,Halloween decor haul that I posted,yesterday,if decorating is overwhelming to you but,you want to decorate my biggest piece of,advice is to think of the pieces you,already have in your space and just look,for the seasonal equivalent to them you,do not need to reinvent the wheel for,every single holiday I know with social,media it can make you think that you,need to build these incredible pumpkin,arches outside of your house and make,these crazy hard difficult DIYs and you,definitely do not need to do that to,create a space that feels really festive,and seasonal like I did here,I got this awesome almost like faux,leather spiderweb table runner from the,threshold collection at Target I did a,whole video on that collection and so,many of the items I picked up for my,decorate with me were from that,collection so if you didn't check it out,you definitely should if you're still,looking for Halloween decor here I kind,of did the same thing as before just,adding in more seasonally appropriate,accents to transform this space super,easily I took out these two fall pillows,and added in one of my neutral fall,pillows just so that I could keep it in,the space and then also this skeleton,pillow that has a skeleton with some,kind of like florally accents on it it,was super nice Brian picked it out so,kudos to him,foreign,the other way I Incorporated Halloween,into the kitchen was by adding this,coffin-shaped cutting board right behind,our Stove Top and changing out my fall,towels on my oven to these really,adorable bat ones that I picked up from,Joann's they have been my favorite place,to get kitchen towels I also got my fall,ones from there and those are the other,two really simple changes that I made,foreign,ghost I did see this on Tick Tock and I,was like okay that is simple enough,we're gonna do it you will only need a,tomato trellis a little Styrofoam ball a,white sheet a pack of Christmas lights,with a white strand a piece of black,felt and a glue gun and that is all you,need I started off by just taping the,top of the tomato trellis together just,to kind of keep it all formed you could,also use a hair elastic but I just,decided to use a piece of tape because,it's what I had on hand then you're,going to just shove the Styrofoam ball,onto the top it's actually going to be,the ghost's head and kind of what the,sheet drapes over to give it the round,ghost appearance so just shove that on,there as hard as you can but careful not,to crack it in half then you are going,to take your Christmas lights or your,white strand of Lights I picked mine up,at Joann's I didn't have any that had a,white Strand and I just got like a,little mini Strand and you're just going,to kind of weave it all all around the,tomato trellis on the inside and the,outside there's really no Rhyme or,Reason for it then all you have to do is,take your sheet I didn't have an old,white sheet but if you did then that,would make this DIY even more affordable,than it already is you just drape that,over the top and then you just glue on,your little felt eyes that I just cut,out these little ovals you could also,add a mouth if you want I just decided,just to do the eyes and that is really,all there is to it I decided to put it,over in the corner this is most likely,where our Christmas tree is going to go,so I was kind of prototyping that hole,ordeal go ahead and plug it in and it's,ready to go we named ours Harold feel,free to let me know if you're gonna make,one as well or if you already have one,and what yours has for a name but yeah,this is Harold our little friendly,Corner ghost and we love him,up next is decorating the entryway,before we head outside I am super,excited to show you all of the outdoor,Halloween decorations that we put up but,I needed to get this space done this is,the first space you see when you walk in,the door and it's actually the last time,you will be seeing my entryway decorated,without it being a full dining room,makeover we are hoping to transform our,dining room and get it fully furnished,in the next month or so since we moved,in the goal was to have it done before,the holidays so we're really getting,into the crunch time now but I'm really,excited to have the space fully,transformed and ready to go for the,holidays as well as my baby shower but,as far as Halloween decor goes on this,space again the theme keeping it super,simple here changing out the fall,elements to more like Halloween elements,changing out the bowl filler to skull,Bowl filler a pumpkin to a skeleton bone,pumpkin and then changing out the,candles to these really fun Halloween,candles they're like the bleeding eye,skull candle as well as a spine and then,I also changed out the flowers to more,like deep red and black rose Florals,foreign,I decorated our front porch really,lightly for fall knowing that I was,going all out for Halloween but here is,a little bit of a before like I said,super light didn't really go crazy out,here so first things first need to kind,of clear everything off I always like to,start with a clean slate so just taking,off all of the Fall pieces that we will,be changing out for more Halloween,focused accents,oh,foreign,probably the most labor-intensive,outdoor Halloween decor we did was,hanging this almost spiderweb drapery,that we picked up from Target we did end,up buying four of these and what we did,was kind of attach hooks to the ceiling,of our front porch and then there are,like little loops on each corner of the,piece of fabric and we just attached it,to that so we just repeated that process,all four times and then we did also tie,each one together which you may see at,the end we just kind of like attached,each one so that they stayed together,like Brian just did right there we,actually had originally only bought,three so you see me hang the three but,just know that we did go back and pick,up a fourth one because as you can see,we definitely needed it this wasn't like,super hard to do but it really added,such a creepy spooky feel to our front,porch which is exactly what we were,going for like inviting creepy but,spooky,foreign,these poseable skeletons are so fun and,they also glow in the dark so really,excited to show you that little feature,about them I got these from Target they,had glow in the dark they had a bunch of,different varieties of posable skeletons,and in my haul I joke that one was me,and one was Brian so we each posed our,own and we had to also pick up a,skeleton dog because if you didn't know,we have three dogs that we love so much,so when I saw this at Target I knew I,also needed to pick it up this planter,cauldron was one of my favorite things I,bought this year it is also from Target,everything basically is from Target and,I ended up buying it online because I,couldn't find it in the stores I did,decide to put a mum inside and then just,decorated this basket that was already,on the table with a few little dollar,spot signs and this book stack that I,picked up from Kirkland's I think I,might have forgot to include that in my,haul so if you're wondering where it's,from that little like resin book stack,is from Kirkland's and I absolutely love,it it just goes so well with the colors,out here I was really impressed with all,the decor that they had at the store I,feel like so many of the items are items,that will just last for years and years,which is a big quality that I look for,when I'm shopping for Decor I always,call it the cost per use like how much,use and years will you get out of each,piece to me it kind of defines whether,or not if it's worth the price of course,every single person has a different,budget and a different set of Standards,but if you're wondering how I go about,purchasing my fines that is the mindset,I go into it with speaking of mindset,with pregnancy brain I almost forgot to,put this drop cloth onto this coffee,table if you remember I put the other,half on my TV stand this was where I,originally wanted to put it so I'm glad,that I did remember to go out and throw,that back on a lot of the finishing,touches included little candles like,this I did decide to splurge a little,bit more I know you can find cheaper,ones than these ones that I bought at,Target on these flameless candles but I,really loved the battery with being,pregnant honestly bending over is more,difficult these days so the battery,operated little remote that it came with,was a huge draw for me and they're,really good quality candles I will let,you know if they hold up I'm definitely,planning to use them for future,Christmas decor and everything so if,they end up not working for me I will,definitely be sure to let you know that,way you don't spend your money on them,for me nothing says outdoor Halloween,decor more than these like faux spider,webs on your bushes and we have so many,bushes all along our house we bought a,couple different packs but the packs,from the target dollar spot were,actually my favorite they go really,really far and they're just as good as,the ones from anywhere else and they,were only a dollar moving on to our,Cemetery we got some of the Tombstones,from Target some from Walmart and I'm,here to report that there is absolutely,no difference between the two of them,and if I was you I would buy them at,Walmart because they were a little bit,cheaper these are super easy you just,kind of stick the steaks into the bottom,and then stick them into your grass we,do have landscapers that come every,single Monday we're in Florida and our,Grass Grows extremely fast all year,round so we will have to take these up,every single week but how fun and,detailed are these little tombstones we,were super impressed with all the,details and had such a fun time,arranging them we did also buy this,little fence to go around them we are,going to be putting more fence so that,it's like fully enclosed but we got,these two front sets for now those are,from Target we set a teal pumpkin for,kids with allergies and then stuck our,little skeleton groundbreaker right onto,the other side of our front lawn here is,how it looks overall with all of the,decorations we just love how it came out,we didn't do anything too crazy as I,said it will definitely grow over the,years but this is what it looks like,during the day,and I didn't want to leave you hanging,here is what we have going on at night,so we did put Jack Skellington on our,garage then on the front table we put,this rotating ton of different like,Halloween pictures up close I love how,you can see all the different pictures,like there was a tree and then here's a,skeleton and from far away it just looks,like really fun like colorful lights,that I feel like add a lot to our front,porch and on the side of the house we,put this happy Halloween whirl emotion,and I feel like it's the perfect fit,well alrighty everyone there noise but there are kids,everywhere and,i am just we're having fun for halloween,so you're definitely gonna see lots of,kids in this video,so what we're doing today is we're gonna,actually be doing a bathroom up the,stairs i'm gonna be,tucking into beautiful spider webs,everywhere and we're gonna transform,this,house into a nice spooky castle i am so,excited,it was your first time here my name is,lauren i do all things home decor i am a,mama of four kids and i,love making our house a memorable place,for them,and for you as well if you feel inspired,by these videos please like this video,don't forget to subscribe and let's get,started okay guys so,first what we're gonna do is i'm gonna,actually take this out of here today,we're gonna try a different table here,i have some pillows to go back there and,then i'm gonna do tons of spooky spider,webs kind of make these pictures,look old our house is an 1891 victorian,so it's pretty easy to make this place,look spooky,um there's enzo hey enzo hi means,okay then up here down the stairs i'm,going to be doing a bat swarm,why i love this is it's kind of big here,so i'm going to go big big big,and then kind of small and trickle all,the way up the stairs,i may do a nice big spider web right in,this area just to kind of make this,spooky since,like so this all will be spiderweb here,and then i'm thinking up here so i'm,sure you guys saw this on my instagram,i we took your guys's advice went with,this same chandelier and we put,the mirror that used to be in the,hallway between the kitchen,up here and i just think it looks,terrific we're still in the process of,getting all the frames together to do,the stairwell but,for now i think this turned out really,really beautiful in this area this,turret which i love gonna be doing some,spooky things here,and just make this place a lot spookier,than it is now,i'm also going to show you guys all the,decor i have for halloween so you can,take a look at that,and maybe get some inspiration we're,going to definitely be changing this,area up too,like i don't know what i'm gonna put,here but something good,that's for darn sure i'll definitely,keep,this um this all here,i just don't quite know what we're gonna,do with it yet definitely some spooky,spider webs there though,okay it says sanderson sisters brewing,co,premium which is brew i love this i,thought things home decor and i am so,excited to get started so let's do this,so to get started i'm going to actually,bring up everything from the basement,for halloween even though i'm not going,to be using all of this i just want to,show you guys what i'm working with this,year,okay guys i just want to show you a,couple things we're working with today i,have a bunch of pillows here i just,picked this up at walmart i loved it,it's really um i like the stitching here,i just think it's like really beautiful,and i have this one i think i also got,this year from walmart and then these,were from target dollar spot,as well and then here are the,bats i got these are linked down below,also from my bats from last year so if,you're looking for those giant bats,um definitely definitely click the link,below i purchased five of these i,promise you they are the right ones,they're nice and big like look how big,that bad is oh my god it's gonna look so,good,okay so those are our bats for this year,here is a,wreath i used last year for my decorate,with me,and i'm gonna actually use this um,hand to kind of hold it up i just think,that looks so cute and then put a bunch,of bats on it,and then as far as the rest of our decor,in here i have a ton of spider webs,we're going to be using i got these at,the dollar store,and we've got bats on bats on bats,we'll do this for our halloween spooky,party i've got big spiders for the porch,which you guys will see,probably next week i'm hoping to do it,next weekend um here's the big,spider web here's some more home decor,and just all kinds of little things in,here,i got these at the dollar spot at target,i just love these,i think i showed you these in my fall,haul as well,i got this at walmart and this little,sign at the dollar store we're,definitely going to be using those this,year,these are great little trees that were,also at the dollar spot at target i,grabbed a couple of those,and then here are the spiders we're,going to be doing on the front porch,i'm really excited if that's where i'm,like last year but this year we're going,to be doing spiders,and then just some cute little things,for a tear tray and just decor around,the house,here are the new pillowcases i can't,wait to show you so you'll definitely,have to look for our,um porch decorate with me so you can see,how those turned out,and just some more fun decor spiders,cute little things you guys saw all this,on my,decor haul so i think it's time to get,started,so to get started i'm going to use my,mrs myers cleaning day just to kind of,make this room smell,good and get everything nice and clean,i'm going to vacuum this base i'll,probably have to,vacuum a bunch because we're using all,these cobwebs but now that i'm in the,space i actually think i'm going to keep,this desk here and i think i'm going to,turn this instead of a castle into a,dead and breakfast,there are a lot of old bed and,breakfasts around where we live so,i think i'm going to do that instead,plus those amazon pillows that came,there was a dead-end breakfast pillow so,it's going to go perfect in this space,okay so much like we did last year i'm,going to start by putting,big bats everywhere so we're gonna do,big bats all the way up there i might,put a couple through here,and here i'm definitely gonna put some,bats here as well,so what i have here are different size,large bats so i like the really really,big ones there's this brand which is a,little bit,flimsy but then these oops,these ones are really nice they're super,thick and they're actually double-sided,which i really like,and then we've got some medium size so,i'm going to start with the big ones,then i'll move to the medium size then,this size this size and then these teeny,teeny tiny ones which i really like,they kind of just fill in between and,then,i'm going to try the hot glue gun i have,not done this,i have it on low heat with this,particular,glue gun it's a high and low heat oops,you guys get the picture so we're gonna,do that and we're also gonna try these,little glue dots as well if the glue,dots work that's great i just,don't know how well these are gonna,adhere to the walls,we're lucky because,this is high gloss so it should just pop,right off but we're gonna,test it first before we get started,so i'm gonna use a really small amount,of,the hot glue on low heat i'm going to,test in this area i popped this guy off,it worked perfectly,and now i'm going to actually just start,putting all the large mats,up first one of the things i would,suggest is definitely google search,the types of bath forms you want this is,the type i like,you can have them in a swirling motion,which is also super cool but,just given the architecture of the space,i kind of wanted everything very linear,going up the staircase but definitely,find the vibe that you like best,i would love to know in the comments,down below for all of you mamas out,there,do your kids like spooky stuff or do,they like,kind of cutesy halloweeny like bats and,little things that don't scare them,i'm like teetering on the edge because,some of my kids love the spooky stuff,and some of my kids,absolutely hate it,so i wanted to show you guys what i did,last year we just did two giant spiders,kind of coming up the stairwell and i,loved it but i'm,really loving the way these bats are,turning out,so now that our first bat swarm is done,i am so excited about how this turned,out it's so beautiful and fun,and i've really filled it in this year i,didn't want to do a little bit so now,we're going to just put a little here on,this side and we'll be done with that,and we can get started,on our spooky spiderwebs,so,so i'm gonna actually end up using those,little sticky dots to put up,all of our um spider webs i didn't end,up putting them for all of these bats,because honestly cleaning,up the dots from the bats would have,been way too much these honestly they,just pop,right off with the hot glue gun but it's,not going to be the same,for the spiderweb so i would use those,little dots that come in the package for,these and just put like two or three up,to just hold,um the spiderweb up but i'm loving how,this is turning out it is so spooky in,this hallway,all right,so this is actually one of my favorite,parts of today's decorate with me,i actually picked up these hands at,target they were about i think three,dollars a piece and i'm going to,actually tuck,in one of these grapevine wreaths you,guys have seen me use this a lot in my,decorate with knees i have a couple of,them i picked this one up at michaels,but you can get them at hobby lobby,and i'm going to tuck another hand in so,it almost looks like the,skeleton hand is holding up the wreath,and then i'm gonna add,a little bit of our awesome spider webs,to everything in this area and then i'm,gonna hot glue on,some of the bats um the little bats that,we had from,the stairwell onto these as well,i absolutely love how this turned out,you guys i think i'm definitely gonna,have to do this for the front porch as,well put spider webs all over our black,door and then add,something very similar to this so,definitely check that out it will be,up later this week and everything else,just looks,so spooky i did extra thick,spider webs throughout the house because,i really wanted it to be noticeable but,you'll see in this area i'm going to go,a little bit lighter but i'm going to,cover this entire,wall in spider webs,tell me in the comments down below do,you guys like using these spider webs do,you find them a little difficult to use,it's,over the years i've it's kind of been a,trick to figure out how to use them but,i have finally,found the way to do it do you guys love,using them or do you find it a bit of a,challenge,too,so i want to give you guys some tips on,how i actually spread out my spider webs,i,this stuff i actually picked up at the,dollar store i don't like spending a ton,of money on it,and what i do is i actually take,everything out of the bag,and i measure it out to about how much i,will need for a space,so for this space i had used a little,bit of leftover because i didn't want,too much here,and then the key to it is actually,spreading,the spider web and stretching it out as,much,as possible and then securing it to,several different anchor points,i've like i said i use those little dots,and then i i'm actually going to be,anchoring it to all different points,like on this mirror,and then on the wall as well it feels,weird because when you actually have the,spider web you're like i don't want to,pull it too much or it's going to have,gaps,it doesn't work like that it actually,will pull with you,almost like a cotton ball and you'll see,that it will actually start to look more,and more like a spider web the more you,pull it,here is the adorable little pillow case,that i got,from amazon i will link this down below,it came with four in the pack,and this is kind of what inspired the,space it says dead and breakfast,so cute i will definitely link this down,below but let's get started kind of,decorating this area,now what i love about this desk is i'm,actually going to use it much like one,with a tiered tray,i'm going to kind of tuck in all these,little cute halloween things,and almost make it look like the,entryway to a bed and breakfast,most of this stuff i got at the dollar,store i got,at target dollar section and some of it,i may have picked up,at hobby lobby,i don't know if you guys saw from my,target fall haul but i picked up these,adorable little poison jars,i have to tell you guys more and more,often i am picking up stuff at the,dollar section like two seasons early,it's halloween right now so well it's,october and i just,saw all the christmas stuff up already,and i picked up a ton of stuff only,because by the time it's halloween and,i'm decorating all of this stuff is gone,so i picked these up and i think they,look so cute tucked in this little,cabinet i didn't even realize was in,here,and all these little drawers i might,pull one out and put a bunch of,skulls in there as well,so,every time i'm editing i have to laugh,because enzo,our cat sleeps all day but when i,am doing a youtube video for you guys,she is always by my side so i feel like,she's my little,youtube assistant because she like even,in this scene like she's just pops up,she's gotta be in there somewhere she is,so,cute i just love how she has to be,involved but i am also loving how this,turned out it looks so,spooky but also not too scary but also,beautiful,i love this little cabinet with these,little poison things in there i was,going to add those to a tear tray but,they look so much better here and who,doesn't need a drawer,of skulls i love this those skulls on,the pedestal i actually got at the,dollar store and i don't know if they're,still there now but i love how this,turned out you guys,let me know in the comments down below,oh UNIQUE INDOOR HALLOWEEN DECOR IDEAS | HALLOWEEN DIYs

this is an odd angle,so it's currently 10 o'clock at night,and so we are going to be filming and,getting everything ready and I want to,do some really unique Halloween decor so,our Charming Abode is in the great state,of Kansas and so for Halloween instantly,that made me think of The Wizard of Oz,but more than that my absolute favorite,is wicked I love Wicked the Broadway,musical so fantastic I had the pleasure,of seeing it in 2010 on Broadway in New,York and I've always loved it so that's,how we're going to begin today's video,this I acquired off of etsy from a retro,like Hollywood movie poster and I,purchased the frame at Michael's when,they were having a big 50 off sale and,so this was super affordable and I,thought this was the perfect focal point,for our unique Halloween decorations,if you watch my Pottery Barn versus the,thrift store you know we made over this,face that we got at the thrift store and,I absolutely love this and so I wanted,to use this again I also wanted to do,just kind of like a whole Black and,White theme for this I think that's just,so nostalgic it looks so good for,Halloween and so you guys know me I'm,always heading into the backyard to find,dead sticks because my backyard's a,disaster right now and so we found this,beauty and ah I'm so super excited about,what we're gonna do with it and do you,like this cut off you like how my head,by the way,I'm on a,step stool because this mantle is kind,of tall so that's why I'm down here,well I'm gonna be,yeah I'm still gonna be too short with,this step stool maybe I should pull this,back down,in order to put these on so I had went,on Amazon,and I bought a bag of crows and I,thought the crows would look so good,just scattered throughout the branches I,just kind of like how it's just real,minimal I think I've already said that,but so we're gonna let me pull this back,down to put these on so there's no way I,can get those up there okay let's find,some good placement for these crows,around here like I said I just purchased,these off of Amazon and they have these,little wires connected to them so we can,just tighten them around the branches,you like how this is caught on my chin,throughout the day what day what a day,oh perfect I love it my dog can you see,her in this screen right now she is,sniffing,these crows like what is happening,so I only ended up putting four on,and now that it's setting up here I can,tell that I need to move this little guy,in a little bit because he is blending,in with the black of the frame,and in order for him to be seen,he needs to be sitting more,like over here,that way,with the white of the wall behind him,instead of the black frame,he will be so much easier to be seen I,kind of like how her hands are coming up,that's so cool we're just gonna add in a,couple of nice black and white,taper candles,and let's go ahead and add one into this,side,just to balance it out and then you guys,know how much I love to use Black Books,so let's let's see,over a little,feel that way a little set those back up,in there,and then I went upstairs and I used my,Cricut for this next part because I,wanted to put a quote,from,Wicked on this black book,and I think this is so adorable I put,everyone deserves the chance to fly and,so obviously that is a quote from Wicked,and I love the black with the white and,I think that looks so good there let me,know in do I look like I have a because,I got a pointy nose like a witch,let me know in the comments Down Below,have you seen Wicked do you enjoy it is,it was like one of my favorite,okay it's the next morning and I,realized as I walked away from this and,came back and looked at it this morning,I realized I wanted to add in two more,little crows down here on the bottom I,just felt like it needed a little extra,something and then now this is complete,So Yesterday Jason and I started a DIY,that we're going to move on to I'm going,to show you the beginning footage of,that and then we're going to go ahead,and complete the rest of that now let's,start about right here so if you guys,are wondering what we're doing we're,starting our next DIY I'm gonna insert a,picture here and show you guys the the,inspiration behind this it is a 200,little witch's legs from Grandin Road,that are ridiculous and we're making,this these are some cheap old leggings,that I have had,and so they were free and we bought some,black masking tape so do you and you're,gonna go around the whole leg,okay and since I want my legs to be like,this in the thing uh-huh you should do,that I should be bent okay,okay you know who I feel like right now,Chandler from friends when you put it,yes,all right so what we're about to do is,we're going to cut up the back of this,off of me because they're too tight for,me to be able to pull down and then,we'll tape them back together to make,our legs that was freaking hilarious I,only needed Jason to cut it up to the,back side of my knee and then I was able,to pull them the rest of the way off and,now all I'm going to do is just take a,little tape here and re-fix the seam and,then that way I have my leg shape and oh,oh that's hilarious,what are we well thank you thank you,baby,I give you kisses back all right so I,taped the back where Jason had to cut,them off of me and I'm just using some,old newspaper and stuffing them so,they'll keep their shape that I had now,I'm being kind of careful because I,don't want to lose the shape of my leg,so as we're up here by the,fat or thigh part I'm just putting more,in,oh sorry,sorry yeah I didn't mean to bang you in,the head,oh that looks good look at that and I,love how we did it where we have like a,little Bend in our leg make sure you get,that newspaper in that knee so it holds,that shape,so you kind of got to shove it in there,I'm gonna do the other side really quick,and then we will get our little,pantyhose on I went digging around and I,found this box,to put this down over but my box is just,a smidge Too Tall I just need it a,little bit shorter and you'll see what I,mean because I have it it's going to,come out of this like trunk and so I'm,just gonna take a knife,and just is Jason gonna kill me then I'm,using this knife I hope he doesn't watch,this part,to do this oh my goodness let me get a,whole started,I'm cracking up,Guinness what is that,there's a piece in here I needed,this was in the trash can,okay,okay,now we're gonna put this down inside a,trunk and see if this is we can get,these to be the right,okay that's pretty much the perfect size,okay don't worry we're gonna get these,to set like we want them to but oh yeah,look at that okay to kind of conceal,this part down in here,I've got this spooky Halloween,like gauze stuff and I'm just gonna,kinda,drape it around here coming out,it's not going to be super important,but,it is helping us like camouflage what we,got going on here then we're gonna put,like a cute Halloween wreath around it,see we got this spider what what do we,want in the front,we'll do this,Maybe,maybe not yeah yeah yeah okay oh yes,cute,there,like that okay,oh yeah,this is looking adorable next up,don't worry we're gonna get the legs to,stay we have the star of the show,the black and orange pantyhose,that oh my goodness I hope they work,oh wow okay,well,let's give it a try and then we have to,come up with a shoe,this is not too bad kind of a chunky,thigh but you know what I got a chunky,thigh,so it's all good don't forget to like,today's video if you're enjoying it,this is so adorable I just realized I,did this out of order I ran next door oh,my goodness thank you to Dave and Sharon,for always helping me with all my videos,when I need things I need to put these,in here down in there,to be able to hold these legs straight,up and down I need that through the box,so now I have to take this back apart,but that's okay,I could have left that out and you guys,never saw that but I really want to show,you guys that everything over here does,not happen oh smooth and easy let me,tell you there are so many times that I,completely do not do something right,that's okay,and so I hope you guys don't feel like,it has to be that way for you either,okay I'm gonna stick,the dowel rod,in through like punch a hole through,here and put it up into the leg,I'm getting that knife again that I'm,not supposed to be using,don't tell Jason,hope he doesn't watch the video this,week am I strong enough to get shoved,through the newspaper oh my goodness I,don't know what to do okay I almost feel,like I need to like take this whole,thing apart I don't want to take the,whole thing apart,I don't want to,okay,how can I get through my newspaper oh,I'm gonna have to put it in there and,then put the newspaper around it,this is my opportunity to make my thigh,a little thinner,don't you wish we could do that in real,life,if it's not I'm not gonna do that it,needs a little poof right there we don't,want it to look unrealistic,I need a fatter thigh so we'll keep it,okay oh yeah yeah look at that now I got,stability,okay I'm gonna quickly do the other side,you guys don't need to sit here and,watch me be tortured and do this all,over again so I'll do this other side,and then we'll put it all back together,and then you are going to love where we,are putting this and what we're doing,next we're gonna use a pair of my boots,oh my goodness how adorable,foreign,okay we got a weird camera angle here,right now because well this is that,little space that's like up above my,front door and I have my Christmas trees,in here right now because I'm going to,make a haunted forest and then that way,when it's time after Halloween we can,just take the spooky stuff down and,Trish I can't talk and transition into,Christmas got myself some trusty spider,webs,just going to kind of put those all over,here and start to give it a little bit,of a creepy look up here and then we'll,move on no a terrible idea is the way,I'm climbing around up here,yeah,and then you'll have to bring me the,shoes,and hope I don't die,pocket okay help me all right,what else you need,the shoes and can you slide the ladder,over that way thank you,sure,okay I thought a,big black spider coming right down this,main tree here in the middle would be,awesome I don't need this anymore and,it's in my way,and Jason's next door,oh yeah yeah,let me just see if I can get over here,out of the way,without dying,okay does anyone else have,one of these weird they call it like a,plant Shelf,is this just a Midwestern thing from the,90s does anybody else have one of these,and then I have this little black Gauzy,stuff,and just for when people come up the,stairs not that a lot of people come up,the stairs at my house I'm gonna hide,these cords that are on the um,Christmas stuff here the lights,with this stuff,almost like a tree skirt and just kind,of,put it down along the bottom here so you,can't really see that very well,so I wanted to do it like this because,we're having my grandson's first,birthday party here,and I just wanted to do something cute,and not super spooky or anything,and I just thought this was adorable not,scary just a little spider little legs,and some little hats,I thought that was super cute my,favorite word cute,we always laugh about how much I say,something is cute in a video,okay a couple years ago I made this,adorable little sign from a Dollar Tree,sign for my front porch when I did kind,of like a witch theme out there and all,of a set of hair if you haven't seen it,that is such a cute front porch and so,um I'm going to change this,I'm in my Cricut right now and I'm going,to change this to witch's castle this,way with like a little arrow since,that's like our haunted forest up there,and make it like a sign to find the,witch's castle oh I love it,I like how we pick the orange this is,absolutely the worst Lighting in the,world,an angle for a camera,but it's so hard to be able to get you,guys to see down here,but I think we need some kind of,cauldron,and I want something coming out of it,but I don't know if I'm going to have,time for this video,yeah it would be really cute if,we had like the little,bubbles coming out of the cauldron right,here,I don't know if I have time okay we're,gonna make this cauldron really quick we,just need cauldron and some newspaper if,you don't have newspaper you could use,like uh grocery bags,anything to just fill this space in down,here okay next up we're just gonna add,some of this really awesome bright green,tool and I chose this because I want it,to look like my,my cauldron has icky stuff in it like,you know I don't know just what you,think of for Witch's stuff so I'm just,going to unravel this thing and this is,going to be like my top layer next up I,have these clear ornaments you can get,these at like Dollar Tree Walmart,anything like that and we are just going,to use our hot glue gun and we're going,to hot glue them together and make it,look like a little bubbling cauldron,that's looking pretty cute,foreign,okay,yeah,that looks really good,we'll see you guys in the next video

DECORATE WITH ME FOR HALLOWEEN! OVER THE TOP HALLOWEEN TABLE TOP DECOR, BAR CART AND MORE DECOR!

hey guys and welcome back to my channel,i am so excited to be sharing today's,halloween decorate with me,this is going to be one of the best,tablescapes i've ever done and i cannot,wait for you guys to see it here first,so if it's your first time here my name,is lauren i do all things home decor,and i really love sharing all kinds of,different ways to dress up your house,for different,seasons if it is your first time please,hit the subscribe button don't forget to,like this video and if,you are one of my amazing subs i love,you guys and i'm so happy to be sharing,this with you,each have seen probably some of this on,my instagram at,mrs lauren nicholson i pretty much post,everything there before i get it up on,youtube so if you all follow me there,you definitely already saw some of this,but to get started i'm gonna just get,everything cleaned up and i'm going to,remove all of my fall stuff and kind of,get the space set,up for our spooky halloween,transformation,so to get started i really just want to,pull a lot of this furniture out of here,and really open this space up,in the next coming weeks i'm actually,going to be removing those,bookshelves that are in the corner they,are not period to this house,when we were doing our full remodel of,this house we found those,um they're actually now the doors to,those built-ins and so we kind of built,that bookshelf around it but it really,makes this,room extremely hard to work with,especially for the holidays because,they stick out 17 inches and so it kind,of cuts off how i walk through that,space so,they're coming out and i'm going to redo,them down in our,family den area which you guys have,never seen which i hope to share with,you guys soon,but to get started i'm just going to,clean everything up get some dust off,the walls and then i'm actually gonna,trade out those side chairs for these,other kind of spookier ones you guys,asked me all the time where i got those,i got them at a consignment store but i,think you can find similar ones on,wayfair they weren't very expensive and,we've had them for forever they actually,need to be recovered but i kind of like,how they look old and i just think they,work well,i picked up these adorable pillows at,target this is a new line they had,out kind of a special edition for,halloween and i love it it's got little,gold beads on it so i,knew this was the perfect thing they had,a bunch of other stuff from that line,but i didn't end up picking all of that,up i don't want to go too over the top,with,with halloween but i feel like i kind of,already did,if you guys saw um my friend porch,decorate with me and my entryway i've,already kind of gone overboard,but i got this boost sign at home goods,i loved it i don't know about you guys,but,the home goods in our town didn't have a,lot for halloween so i was really happy,to at least find this cute little piece,keep thinking that i could have done,something but now i'm left with an empty,heart,no making amends no waking up beside you,and holding you till we forget it all,how could i know,so now that i have everything nice and,clean i'm going to start to lay out what,i want to put on the table,now a couple of fun things about this,tablescape is i actually went,on a leaf hunt with my kids and found,these really cool,moss colored oak um stems,and i've got little sticks and all kinds,of cool,stuff and i just got totally inspired,when i was on this walk with my kids,and so i ended up taking a bunch of just,stuff on the side of the road,and throwing it in the back of our car,and we,are going to actually use that as part,of our tablescape today,i've never done anything like this so,i'm really excited to see how this turns,out,i also have a ton of different decor,because i was going to go in a totally,different direction,until i found all of that moss so,it may be a little tough to figure out,what we're gonna put here but,uh we're gonna do it together tell me in,the comments down below what you guys,think about using,real elements from outside in your,tablescapes,my life got really scattered still,i find myself hoping that you'll find,your way,back to me cause i've been stone cold,since you left me here so come home,why won't you reappear,so the vision i have for this tablescape,is i'm gonna kind of put,all of these branches and twigs and,sticks and stems and moss,all along the table but i want to give,it some depth and element of kind of,like,um it's coming off the table because i'm,going to actually be gluing bats,throughout,all of these sticks but i'm going to try,to arrange just the best i can you'll,see that i go back and forth because i,struggle on exactly how to make this,look perfect but,for now i'm just going to kind of lay,all the sticks out,now that i'm looking back i can see,all the,so now that i kind of have the sticks,where i think they are going to look,best i'm just going to start spreading,this moss around,all the different branches this has to,be my favorite part,i'm giving this kind of this tablescape,of vibe of like,hidden skulls in the woods feel,i guess if you could call it that um or,like an abandoned cemetery but i guess,there's no tombstone so i guess yeah,skulls in the woods skulls in the wood i,think we're going to stick with that but,i got as much of this moss as i could,off the ground so it's got lots of dirt,in it but i kind of i didn't mind that,at all and it really does pull apart,nice and easily,i bet if you go let me see if i can find,some of this it's like a spanish moss so,i bet i could find some on amazon and,i'll link it down below,so you guys can try to do this if you,obviously not everybody has moss just,hanging around their neighborhood so um,i will definitely link,and as a close as identical to this as i,can,and then the rest of these you know you,could really just get branches and then,just add the moss to kind of give it,this effect,is,okay so i know this doesn't look like,much right now but i promise you'd,keep watching because we are gonna,absolutely,transform this pile of sticks in a,couple of minutes,i rise from the ashes,with pins and patches,so before i add our skulls and all of,the little elements,within this tablescape i want to,actually get out these really pretty old,brass and gold,candle stick holders i've had for a long,time i actually found these at thrift,stores,years ago so definitely check out local,thrift stores and just kind of like get,a couple every time you go because,they're all different but that's where i,got all these and i love them,i also found all of these little skulls,from michaels they were super cheap i,got them at 70,off at the end of kind of it's towards,the end of the season so,i would definitely check them out to see,if you can find them at that good price,and then i'm just going to use some cake,holders i wasn't even sure i wanted to,do this but then,when i tried it out i totally love it,and you'll see at the end of this video,how amazing it looks to put these um,cake holders i'm gonna actually put some,moss in there,and stuff like a skull head in there and,it just gives this,tablescape such depth and really kind of,makes it intricate and cool to look at,all the little parts,that go into this um into this decor,here,inside this dome,i will not let us fade away it's not a,price i want to pay,and it's not too late i,i really love how this turned out i'm,gonna add a couple little pieces of moss,around it to kind of give it that,authentic,look but tell me in the comments down,below what do you guys think about it so,we far be ourselves didn't have much but,nevertheless we were true to each other,but now we don't even bother i remember,you being hopeful,but the tall waves have worn us down and,slowly we,are drowning that's why you need to come,with me,with me with me turn around 180 degrees,and cross the sea,i will not let us fade away it's not a,price i wanna pay,and it's not too late i know we lost our,purpose,chasing all that surplus,we can turn this ship around we can turn,this ship around,all the way back home,i always knew we could do so many great,things so believe in me,i believe in you and i just feel,that this will be an upswing,so hear me out you,so to really create a cool effect on,this tablescape i'm actually,tucking all kinds of different skeletons,and skulls and body parts throughout,this tablescape which i think is going,to really give it that cool effect when,you're sitting at the table and just,kind of looking peeking in there seeing,spiders and bats and feet and hands and,heads and,moss and sticks so i think if you're,gonna do this definitely try to find,like a kit of body parts that you can,kind of tuck in there,we're talking to each other i know,we feel the same about the situation,like we're stuck inside a game time to,get out of this circle,yeah we both carry a scarf,so now that i have all of the tablescape,kind of filled in i've got the skulls,i've got the moss and the trees i'm just,going to fill in a couple spots where i,see,that there isn't much in there and then,i'm going to actually be hot gluing,bats i know what a shocker more bats but,i'm going to hot glue bats,on the little stems that you see,sticking up throughout this tablescape,to kind of give it that really fun depth,like there's almost bats floating in the,and i air it's the right thing to do,let's break away,all colors will fade,away,it's always mixed emotions the first,step,is always hard when you walk out of the,doorway,but that's just,so now we have our centerpiece is,finally done,and i have to tell you i don't know how,it looks on video but,in person this has got to be one of the,most beautiful table scapes i've ever,done,and it just this moss gave it such a,creepy vibe,i'm absolutely loving it so i'm going to,actually be putting some candles in here,at the end of the video i'm going to,light them for like,one second to take this video and then,i'm gonna blow them out because i'm too,afraid that all of this is like a tinder,box is gonna catch on fire,so i'm gonna add some candles in here,and then we're gonna get the table set,somehow this is beautiful,i decided to add a couple baths to these,they were looking just a little bit too,classy and i needed to spooky it up a,bit so i'm gonna glue,like five or six little tiny bats on,these and i have to tell you guys i'm,loving how this turned out the bats are,so fun,and they look so whimsical because,they're on the sticks they're kind of,just like floating in the room,but now it's time to get the table set,and then we're gonna start working on,our bar card,i'm gonna keep the table set pretty,simple this year i'm not gonna put out,silverware i picked up these plates at,home goods i love them i only could find,three of the big ones but i do have four,of the little ones so i'm going to,actually change them out,every other um place setting because i,wish i had more but,unfortunately we just didn't in our town,we should,when i'm with you,set up a stage of flies say we're done,say it's over,i absolutely love these copper cups it,gives it that perfect kind of classic,beautiful touch so it's not so spooky,but it really,elevates this tablescape i love these,they're actually double insulated so i,can put my delicious,mulled wine in there and i pick them up,at homegoods,i don't know if you guys got these last,year but i picked these up at the dollar,store they are so,cute there's little wine glasses and,little champagne glasses with a little,like skeleton hand on them and i,absolutely love these i didn't get to,use them last year because i got them,after halloween but oh my god these,were the perfect touch for this,tablescape tell me in the comments down,below did you guys pick these up,it should be good but we keep out of,fires,for this bar card i'm actually gonna,keep things super super,like natural i'm not gonna go over the,top here i've got some snacks i'm gonna,throw in this skull,and put up some more of those champagne,glasses i was telling you about from the,dollar store,and like a little spooky village down,below with my little farm houses i got,at a dollar spot,and i just kind of want to tie this area,of the house,into the dining room because there used,to be a different table here i kind of,moved it around this actually used to be,in my bedroom,and is actually was next to my bed but i,absolutely love it here and i absolutely,love how this turns out,did you ever stop and think why spend,too much time just getting ready,let me be honest i don't know,a single thing that i haven't done to,make you notice me,let me be real here when i see you my,heart starts racing,but i don't know if i like this chasing,and playing,and waiting around,but this time this time,i need somebody,i love this little bar area i'm just,using these little wine decanters and,these cute little signs i got from the,dollar spot at target last year,and some straws i got at the dollar spot,as well i mean all in all i think,everything on this bar card,pretty much cost a dollar um i love how,this turned out it's super simple and,there's enzo,always little enzo it's not a youtube,video without enzo in it,um and then i'm gonna add some red roses,and i think i'm actually gonna take this,orange candy away i think it's pulling,too many weird colors,so i'm just gonna add some of these,fresh red roses i picked up at trader,joe's,and i think we'll be done with this area,and we'll head over to the side table in,the dining room,crazy tonight,so why so why don't you come on over,and be by somebody,give me somebody somebody to love,i'm out of reasons i'm not a rhyme,so for this area i'm just gonna put a,couple snack stations together i'm not,gonna go over the top but i think it,turns out,super cute,breathlessness,i'm out of patience i'm out of fields,but i guess i'm waiting round for,something real,i'm going crazy like Halloween Decorating — Best Spooky, Fun & Simple Ideas

we thought it'd be fun this year to,decorate a house for Halloween we've,never done this before so we were up for,the challenge we had this beautiful big,front porch to work with and we talked,about the direction we wanted to go in,and of course we wanted to keep it,tasteful and house and home style so we,began by throwing a drop sheet on the,chairs over there,yeah easy because everybody has a,painter's cloth downstairs or a white,sheet in the house yeah we got that kind,of ghostly abandoned look it's very next,we thought it would be fun to bring out,some antiques and play with on the porch,so we had a look around it was available,in the garage old rug yeah the old rug,was amazing yes that rusty table which,is and of course the rest are the better,right yeah it's not for sitting children,the swaddle rack which is creepy on its,own sort of felt like a tied down spider,yep,found a great garden shovel and a pick,we decided to bring in small decorative,pieces to sort of set a mood because the,porch is so big we had an opportunity to,create these little sort of moments and,we wanted it to feel sort of like an,outside party right yeah like you might,be handing out candy yeah you may be you,know sitting in possibly I love that we,didn't do the big pumpkin plastic bowl,for candy we went really pretty on this,and we found the beautiful pedestal,bowls in the mat glass very nice yeah,and love the crows that we had perched a,little bit everywhere because are so,easy to find all that little stuff so,easy to find right,it's just readily available,it can be stored every year we stuck,with an overall theme of dark colors a,lot of mad blog which kept it really,classy but there was that one hit of,orange with a classic jack-o'-lantern,which I did not want to do this year,right but I still wanted a pumpkin I had,this idea in mind for a great DIY so I,got a pumpkin which I carved out and,then I used a hole saw bit which I got a,home hardware we drilled some holes,through the pumpkin and then I got some,toy store rats which I poked through the,holes and looks really gross I think,it's fun oh yeah,I look like their answer maybe oh yeah,great yes I also loved what you did with,the bakery door I thought that was,really fun yeah that was again a super,easy DIY with Toy Story snakes this time,and we got a twig wreath which is,available everywhere airing the season,and we glued the snakes just with some,hot glue right onto the reason spray the,whole thing matte black and there you go,holiday tree you can also use it as a,centerpiece on,and keeping with our creepy scene you,had a great idea on what to do with,those bones,we didn't construct the skeleton know,that you were supposed to do instead we,just left it in pieces and shoved it in,some great old iron pots yeah on the,porch so fun for a finishing touch I,wanted to frame the entrance and instead,of using those cobwebs which tend to get,stuck or everything yeah a messy we,decide to go with ghostly cheesecloth,yeah which is available everywhere like,home hardware but in white it was just a,little too stark so I dyed them in some,black tea and it looked great yeah,perfectly ready I didn't think Halloween,could look this good,I agree I know it it was really,successful I thought the color of the,porch is beautiful to start with yeah,which was really great and then we,played off kind of the muddy greens,blacks then the color also came in in,the candy mm-hmm right the little house,of candy well yeah I mean the orders for,sure for the pumpkin our hero and we,still had some totally creepy stuff,happening right you know you have to,have your hella we have have some fun,yeah and you're at dusk you're at sea,here at night so you might as well play,up yeah the creepy right your height as,well play up the dark and the candles,and all those sort of moments absolutely,yeah there were really big impactful,moments in what that crazy oh it's a,great it was great yeah really great and,not garish right I know it's easy to go,off track at Halloween and buy,everything you see with glitter and,crazy colors but it's important if you,want to keep it classy to stick to a,theme which is what we did,yeah we talked about that I mean the,house is Victorian yes so we kept it,sort of like creepy antique antiques,like American Gothic yeah very classy,creepy does that work it's a new genre

hey guys and welcome back to my channel,i am so excited to be sharing today's,halloween decorate with me this is going,to be the best decorating video i think,i've ever done and i am just so at,just.giffin1221 i pretty much always,share what i'm working on over there,first and especially for my halloween,decor because i just loved how it turned,out and i could not wait to share it for,some reason i always seem to start my,decorating videos in my kitchen so we're,switching things up and getting started,in my living room today and i wanted to,show you this beautiful picture that i,found for my frame tv that i thought was,just so perfect for halloween and then,we're just going to be starting on my,mantel with this pretty spiderweb drape,i found this at spirit halloween and it,came with this really pretty battery,light so i'm really excited to put that,up i'm really going all out with the,decor around my fireplace for halloween,so i wanted to keep the mantle itself,pretty simple but still add in some,spooky decor,keep thinking that i,could have done something but now i'm,left with an empty heart no making,amends,no waking up beside you and holding you,till we forget it all,how could i know there was no second,chances like dominoes my life got really,scattered you,i found these battery-powered mini,tapered candles out antiquing and i,didn't know what i was going to do with,them but then i thought it would be,really cool to tie them on some string,and use some tape to put them up inside,my fireplace kind of to create a,floating candle effect in here and i,think it turned out so fun my halloween,decor theme this year is inspired by,witches some influences from harry,potter which is just my favorite movie,series and book series to this day and,then also some influences from the movie,hocus pocus i'm actually going to salem,massachusetts on a girls trip next week,and i cannot wait it's always been a,bucket list place to visit for me so if,you've been and have any must-have,places to go definitely let me know in,the comments below and to finish up my,fireplace decor i'm using some small,bats to fly up the wall you can find,these little back cutouts just about,anywhere that sells halloween decor and,they are a really simple way to get a,cute not too spooky look to your space,without spending a lot of money,i always like to dress up the kids play,cart when i switch up our seasonal decor,so i'm just wiping it down and adding,this wreath that i found at target a few,years ago and i'm using just a black,command hook to attach it and then,putting up some of my old halloween,inspired pumpkins that i believe are all,from the target dollar spot,i found these ghosts at target this year,they come as a set of five and i'm,pretty sure they're supposed to go,outside but when i saw them i thought,they would look so cute kind of mixed in,and around my shelves i knew that for,halloween i wasn't going to totally,redecorate my shelves so i thought the,ghosts would just kind of add a fun,spooky touch here and then i also found,some small witch hats that i had used,from previous years and i'm just adding,them to my vintage rocking horses and,actually when my kids came home and saw,them they thought that was just like the,funniest thing and that's one of the,reasons i love switching up the decor,and decorating my home i love making it,a cozy space for my family and just,especially around the holiday season,it's so fun to see my kids little faces,light up when they come home and see all,of the fun decor,over on my end table i'm using my,antique typewriter i found this off of,facebook marketplace years ago i used it,as one of our wedding decor props so,whenever i can bring it back out and use,it it's very nostalgic plus i thought it,would be cool to set up like a little,spooky writing table,that here find your way back to me,since you left,moving on to my hutch i wasn't going to,change this space up at all for,halloween until i saw this sign at,michaels and was instantly inspired to,turn this hutch into my own witch's,apothecary,i was able to shop our home for a lot of,these items or just incorporate old like,potion bottles and stuff that i had,picked up from previous years but i went,through a lot of my kitchen items,looking for glass bottles and then i,found some old books that i thought,would be cool to add here some copper,pieces just anything that i imagined,would be useful to a witch brewing of a,spell,now that i'm looking back,i can see all the signs i tried to fill,in the cracks that was,i love using signs to inspire areas like,this one and as i was going through my,home looking for pieces for my witch's,apothecary i just kept thinking about,how much fun it would be to decorate for,movie sets like what a dream it would be,to curate and decorate dumbledore's,office in the harry potter movies oh my,gosh that would be the best,why couldn't i simply see,is,oh,okay let me know in the comments how my,witches apothecary turned out if you,were a witch would you shop here,ashes,i'm quickly wiping down my kitchen,counters before getting ready to create,some spooky spaces in here the first is,going to be by my stove this sign was,from the target dollar spot at least two,if not three years back and i thought it,looked so perfect next to my antique cat,mold that i found this season i also,love this black feather that i found at,hobby lobby and i'm just putting it in a,milk glass vase for a very simple but,very halloween inspired vibe,and then just adding the matching wreath,to the one i put on the kids market cart,just above my vent hood i'm just gonna,set it here and hope it doesn't fall off,i've had good luck with lightweight,wreaths like this in the past so i think,i'm good,my pantry i'm leaving the same except,for a very strategically placed witch's,hat i actually just happened to set this,hat down here while i was getting the,other two hats ready to hang and decided,that it looked really good here next to,the pumpkins and the copper cups so,sometimes all you need is just a simple,little touch to create an entire space,next we're going to be working on a,tablescape and the shelves behind my,dining room table here is a sneak peek,of the sign i made to go above my,shelves using a chalkboard that i,already had on hand for this project i'm,using my cricut explore air 2 a pressing,tool my weeding tool removable white,vinyl and transfer tape signs are one of,the best projects to make for beginners,and what i suggest to anyone who is just,starting out or is interested in getting,their own cricut machine it's an easy,project that makes a really big impact,on your space and i promise you will,just be addicted to using your cricut,from that point forward for this,halloween sign i wanted to stick to the,witch theme so i'm in cricut design,space choosing my font and then i also,thought it would be cute to add a little,stars all around it kind of giving it,that magical feel,and then i'm just measuring the length,and width of the sign so i can size it,so it's cut out to fit it the way that i,want,i went in and weeded out the access,vinyl and transferred my image onto my,transfer tape and now i'm going in and,using that big pressing tool to get it,onto the chalkboard,i love how this sign turned out i love,using this chalkboard in my decor so it,was really important to me that the,vinyl be removable so i can create,another sign maybe one for christmas,next time later this week i'm making,some shirts with my cricut to bring to,salem and i am so excited to share them,with you guys i will be sharing those,over on my instagram i am seriously so,hooked on this qriket machine i use it,all of the time for so many projects if,you have a crafty person in your life,this would be a perfect gift for them,okay so on second thought i decided to,go ahead and show you the shirts they,turned out so cool i made four of these,for all of us going to salem and i don't,know if you can tell on camera but i,made it with this white sparkly iron-on,glitter vinyl it's so cute the only,thing i wanted to go in and add is more,of this star detail down the arm of the,sweatshirt i think that would be really,cool so i'll just walk you through it,real quick and we'll see how these turn,out so in qriket design space i'm adding,a few stars to add to the sleeve just in,various sizes iron on vinyl is different,than the everyday vinyl that i used for,my sign because when you're cutting it,you're going to lay it with the top side,facing down so especially with text you,need to make sure that when you're,cutting your design the mirror image is,on and this is the heat press that we're,going to use to transfer the vinyl onto,my project i'm heating it up to 330,degrees on the cricut website they have,a heat guide that's so helpful that you,can go in and it helps you figure out,what temperature you have to heat it up,to and how long you need to press down,so for this project it's 330 degrees and,i hold it down for 30 seconds,let me know what you think about my,sweatshirt i think it's so much fun it,was really easy to make and i was able,to make it for so much cheaper using my,cricut and heat press than if i were to,order it online somewhere now let's get,on with the decorating,i found these witch hats on amazon last,year and i used a needle and thread to,go through the very top of the hat and,then just wrapped the other end of the,thread around a push pin and pushed it,right up into my ceiling to hang them i,think the floating candle slash floating,witch hat just adds such a magical and,fun look to your halloween decor,me,ashes,my dogs,while we're at it i'm going to attempt,to hang this little black broom from my,chandelier using some light colored,thread and just tying it around the,broom onto the middle section of the,light so that it looks like it's kind of,levitating above the table,you and me stuck on the ocean now,nothing but waves in this villain in,i wanna dry up but too,just keep on going don't you,i don't even know how we got here all my,reasoning have disappeared i wanna bury,the hatchet,i am so excited to put together a witchy,dinner party tablescape i'm going to be,doing a halloween inspired dinner party,like the one i recently made for fall so,stay tuned if you like that video,because this one is going to be so much,fun i can't wait to see what we can come,up with for a tablescape here my vision,is to have this white cauldron be at the,very center of the table and then use a,lot of earthy,woodsy elements around it you know,things that witches might use to,decorate their tables with,dome,i will not let us fade away,it's not a price i wanna pay,and it's not too late,i decided to use my milk glass bud vases,as candle candlestick holders for this,look i thought the white would really,pop against all of the dark colors and,then i went to hobby lobby and found a,ton of floral options and i'm basically,just going to be layering these together,all the way back,all the way back home,originally i pictured using black,pumpkins but then i found these really,deep purple and kind of rustic green,ones at hobby lobby i love how it gave,the tablescape some color while still,keeping the vibe very dark and moody,but now we don't even bother,i remember you being hopeful,but the tall waves have worn us down and,slowly we are drowning,that's why you need to come with me,with me,with me,turn around 180 degrees and cross,i'm scattering around these twisty,little black sparkly vines all around,kind of on the side and on top of,everything else they're going to add a,lot of dimension and really put in for,trick-or-treating and i really hope my,kids have those same happy memories from,their childhood and i don't know just,remember the cozy fun decor when they,get older,did you ever stop and think why spend,too much time just getting ready,let me be honest,i don't know a single thing that i,haven't done to make you notice me,let me be real here,okay so this seems backwards but the,last space i'm decorating is my entryway,and guys it will not disappoint i love,how this turned out so so much,i found these light up stars on amazon,and i got them because at michael's they,had this really cool grapevine crescent,moon which made me wonder if i could,create some kind of a magical night sky,look here so we'll turn on these lights,at the end but i just wanted to let you,know what the vision was,i need somebody,i don't know what,there's so much that i'm still keeping,to myself cause you don't listen,i'm adding in some more witchy items,here with pops of orange and different,textures the wicked witch in sign,inspired this entire look and honestly i,wish i could find a wicked witch inn to,stay at somewhere maybe they have one in,salem that i could get a last-minute,reservation too,so my husband rarely comments on my,decor and even he was blown away by my,halloween entryway and just all of the,cozy but still spooky spaces throughout,her home and i hope that you all enjoyed,it as much as i truly enjoyed putting,this all together,crazy tonight,so,i feel like halloween is a time i really,step out of my normal everyday decor box,and i can be the most creative and,design spaces i Halloween Home Tour - Christopher Hiedeman's Fall & Halloween Decorating - Historic House Tour

so i had an absolute blast decorating,for fall and halloween this year but for,some reason it just seemed like this,fall season went by so fast and already,it's time for the halloween home tour as,i did in last year's halloween home tour,video i did decide to dress up a little,for this one as well and so i found this,really cool haunted house sweater,there's so much fun fall and halloween,decorating around the house that i can't,wait to show you as well as a few things,that i've changed around the house since,last year's tour so let's get started,so first we'll begin the tour outside,in the very front planters i added a few,mums and fall decorations to dress them,up,and on the porch i used more fall mums,along with a few straw bales pumpkins,some gourds and other halloween,decorations like ghosts jack lanterns,and these fun metal black cats,then i'll just show you a quick look at,the backyard,the fall colors are just beginning,around our home,on the other side of the house is our,garage,i had a blast decorating for fall and,halloween over here,and over here is the back porch,decorated with a few fun items including,this halloween doorbell,now it's time to head inside,so this is the entryway,i did finally purchase a posable,skeleton and i have to say i've had an,absolute blast decorating with it,so right when you walk in i have this,haunted house entry rug and i do have a,video showing how it was made on my,channel that you can check out if you,like,on the front door i made a spider web,design out of black window cling film i,just cut the film into strips and,applied it to the glass and then added a,few paper spider cut outs,this vintage desk is one of my recent,antique shop vines i just love the,details,on top of it i have a spooky candle i,painted along with a spider i drew and,of course my vintage inspired owl,lantern which is again another tutorial,video you can find on my channel,right above the desk is this neat witch,decoration i found at a small shop,and then over here is an adorable cat,halloween sign i purchased just a few,years ago at target,fluttering up the walls of the staircase,are all these little bats i did apply,dots of fluorescent paint to give them,eyes that will glow to the black lights,at night,and coming down the steps are these fun,decorative pumpkins that i got from,balsam hill they are especially cool at,night which i will show you later in the,video,last year i decorated the railing with,spiderweb but this year i thought it'd,be fun to go for more of a fall look,with these dollar tree leaf garlands i,also added these spider lights that i,found at goodwill too,and this is how i decorated across from,the staircase,i set out these witches shoes that my,grandma and i found at a garage sale and,up here i decorated the hooks with more,vintage inspired lanterns i made,including this ghost and this pumpkin,that little pumpkin was actually the,inspiration for this big one which i,made in a video that is on my channel as,well,i also made a velvet pumpkin tutorial,video this year too so make sure to save,and dry your pumpkin stems because they,are so much fun for craft projects,across the entry table i have an,adorable little crow i found at target,along with a vintage postcard box and an,antique key holder,and then in the pumpkin i have some,rustic branches with some string lights,with dipped bulbs,through here is the fireplace room,i decided to go with a witch style theme,in this room with potion bottles and the,spooky cauldron that i made by placing,an led black light and projector light,inside with shredded white tulle fabric,at the top,resting under the cauldron is a,grapevine wreath with flicker flame,string lights inside it,i placed a few thrift store items that,fit the theme next to the cauldron as,well along with these spooky spell books,i made in a tutorial video,these are so much fun to make so if you,haven't seen that video yet feel free to,check it out,this witch globe over here is pretty,neat when it's lit up which i'll show,you later in the video,i found so many fun light up jack,lanterns at goodwill this year they're,one of those decorations i feel like you,can never have enough of,and here's a palmistry book that we got,from tim's gram,so lining the window ledge are all my,spooky plants that i made along with,some vintage flower frogs and a toad,decoration i made some eerie curtains,out of dollar tree plastic tablecloths,by roughly cutting strips three quarters,of the way to the top then i hung them,up with painter's tape and pruned the,ends to the lengths i wanted and added a,fan behind the door to give them an,eerie movement,on the other side of the room is the,fireplace area,i decorated the mantel with an,assortment of halloween items including,this cool haunted house i found at,goodwill and this pumpkin decoration,that i made,i found this neat lighted garland to,hang across the mantle on amazon and,inside the fireplace i have some spooky,hand paper cutouts that are illuminated,with the black light,and the spiders are enjoying spinning,their webs on the spinning wheel,and then up here is the ghost i painted,i made him in a similar style to the,lantern in the front hall,and then up and around the door are,these cool skeleton lights,they are from the early 90s and i just,thought they were too neat,and then through here is the living room,i have some glitter crows on the table,behind the couch as well as my spooked,up mini vintage sewing machine and of,course my antique halloween postcards i,hope to collect some more of these,someday but they are hard to find at a,good price,and this is how i decorated the tea cart,i just loved this halloween place mat,when i saw it at home goods,and below i have a neat old halloween,music book,in front of the couch i have this,tic-tac-toe board i found at target a,few years ago and i have some pumpkin,lights across the window along with some,halloween accents below,and crawling up the wall are these,spider cutouts i made over 10 years ago,for our very first halloween party,and making its first debut on my channel,here is our fish aquarium,we have a variety of absolutely adorable,fish in here including casper our betta,fish,and through here is the dining room,i wanted a very classic halloween look,in here so i made paper decorations and,suspended streamers from the ceiling and,gave the streamer ends a decorative cut,to create more of an elegant look,this tablescape was an absolute blast to,put together,i used my vintage orange enamelware,dishes some neat paper plates these oil,lamp shades that i dusted with black,spray paint and other decorations that i,received from balsam hill to use in the,tablescaping video i made that feature,some of their halloween products,if you would like to see how this,tablescape was put together you're,welcome to check that video out on my,channel as well,and then over here is my little,halloween tree,i decorated it with a mix of,store-bought and handmade ornaments and,underneath i have some popcorn balls in,pumpkin bags,around the mirror i have these cat,decorations i purchased at target and,over here is this neat bucket i found at,a garage sale this summer,and this is how i decorated the china,cabinet this year,i decided on an orange and black theme,but added other items like this cool,vintage napkin,and then i just have a mix of old and,new halloween decorations throughout,including this neat old frame with,halloween postcard images inside,so coming through here is the kitchen,i decorated the island with fall and,halloween items,this witch globe i painted last year and,then i added a few spiders to this fall,floral arrangement,and then in front of these stools are,some fun halloween plates i got from my,mother-in-law,and then over here is the coffee bar,area,earlier this season i had fun painting,this tin to make it into a halloween,themed k-cup holder,and then above is another crow,decorating my vintage butter mold,collection,just because i thought it was so cool i,thought i would show you this coffee rug,that i got at walmart for four pucks,and then over here in the window i have,another vintage style lantern i made,in the other window i have this fun,light up witch that i found on ebay,my grandma had one just like it when i,was little so i was so excited to,finally find one,off the kitchen is this small bathroom,that i decorated with a halloween hand,towel this ghost soap dispenser that was,250 at walmart and this cool witch soap,from the charming frog etsy shop,in the little staircase i decorated the,railing with a leaf garland that i added,flickering lights spiders and pumpkin,lights to,i added a few fun decorations to the,hooks and added some vintage halloween,paper cutouts to the walls as well,and then at the top of the stairs is the,little guest room,i decided to put some mummy lights on,the headboard and added this cute little,owl pillow to the bed,and then reaching out from under the bed,are some paper hands i cut out of,cardstock,and this i actually purchased when i,worked at hallmark years ago,and then over here i added just a few,halloween touches to these hooks and to,the nightstand next to the bed,so next is the clawfoot tub bathroom,on the tub i have this cute little,pumpkin and of course my beatrix,percival halloween book decorating the,board on the top,this was actually just a summer wreath,that i added fall mums and pumpkins to,and around the rest of the room i've,added a few more seasonal touches,so going up to the third floor i added,all of these little paper mice,decorations along with some pumpkin,votive holders,my grandpa actually made this desk for,my brother and i when we were little and,these are just some vintage halloween,paper pop-up decorations that we got,from tim's gram,and then over here on the other desk i,have a couple decorations and then i,decorated the antique bed with the faux,fur spider i made and added a few other,decorations in this little nook as well,and then back down to the second floor,is our bedroom,these little painted eggs were actually,from my mother-in-law and then below is,our electric fireplace decorated with,pumpkins and leaves,so on our bed are these adorable,halloween pusheens,i love pusheen the cat comics and so tim,started buying me some of the halloween,and other seasoned machines each year,and here is our dresser,i updated an old worn thrift store,pumpkin with some paint and some,transparent paper for the eyes,this was such a fun little project and,i'm so happy with how it turned out,and then here's where i placed the fall,tree that i made last year,so in the hall i just added a few fall,items to this dry sink,and this is marshmallow's room,i added a fall book to the coffee table,and placed a floral pumpkin on the,mantel and then i found these cool,halloween curtains online,and here is marshmallow,so once it gets dark outside i'll show,you what everything looks like inside,and out with the lights off,so,you
