hello this is greg berzinski for,beardbrand alliance it is halloween and,it's that time of the year where you,cannot come as you are but come as who,you want to be so who do you want to be,this year on halloween i know you,probably didn't get the opportunity last,year in 2020,a few people did but this year is,different let's go out at full throttle,i'm going to give you some ideas of what,you can do for halloween costume that'll,showcase that beard of yours stay tuned,yes it's that time of the year for,halloween i know last year was a total,bust in our neighborhood we usually get,500 trick-or-treaters coming to the door,last year we got five hopefully it'll do,a little better this year and i'm,prepared to actually go out this year,for halloween party unlike last year,where we did absolutely nothing,and talk to you about some ideas for,halloween costumes,for a lot of the guys who are watching,who have beards below in the description,you'll see a link to another video that,i did that talked about some classic,halloween costumes you can always take a,look at that but i want to expand on,that list and give you some ideas that,are pertinent in 2021 let's begin you,might have noticed that my beard's,getting a little longer this time of the,year it does i start growing my beard,for christmas,for santa season it was actually two,halloweens ago in 2019 that i tested out,santa for the first time going as kurt,russell from the christmas chronicles,people say that there's a resemblance,between us and at the time my hair was,very similar to his my beard was even a,little bit longer and i thought okay,let's do it i got a suit and i went to,santa claus to a halloween party and it,was a huge huge hit,but it also tested out the waters about,me performing a santa claus and actually,from then on i have actually been,hired to play santa claus so you might,want to test the same thing out on,yourself i know a lot of guys especially,in the alliance are sporting a white,beard easy adding a santa suit but also,if you have a darker beard it is easy to,color your hair there are things online,tinted waxes tinted pastes you can,actually even use temper paint to color,your beard to make it bright white so,try it out santa's not your thing try,doing,as i say what would carlos do you can,actually go back on the alliance carlos,has made a boatload of videos,showcasing his talent in changing his,beard shape changing his mustache shape,changing his whole facial hair,configuration,to mimic famous characters in uh mostly,the cinema so you can actually check out,carlos's playlist if you want to see,some of those i'm going to highlight a,couple of them here this is actually a,good time if you are sporting a more,uniform beard length to go ahead and,chop it up go ahead trim it up go ahead,shave parts of it because the very next,day we have no shave november and so you,know we're all about beards here but,we're also about facial hair we're also,about mustaches we're also about killer,sideburns so don't be afraid to actually,change up your beard at halloween,knowing that you can start all over on,november 1st so here's,my favorites from carlos list,this is the most extreme doing a tom,selleck mustache go ahead add a hawaiian,shirt,um hugh jackman's uh wolverine that was,a great look,very recognizable the minute you trim up,your beard into the wolverine,shape my own son victor whose beard,naturally grows in a wolverine,configuration has a great success for,halloween costumes going as logan,there's always the tony stark goatee so,trimming down your beard a little bit,and giving it some shape,there's also john wick,you can,look at carlos's video on how to do that,we have peter sarguards in the,magnificent 7 which i thought was a,great look adding you know a hat a,sarapi and doing uh some you know,fabulous beard trimming can give you,that look,recently he did,the captain bill murray from,the life aquatic i also noted that on my,previous video that's a great easy,costume if you're wearing a beard you,can basically just add a beanie a beanie,and it is pretty much it did give away,on who you are,and then he also did clint eastwood from,the good the bad and the ugly so go,ahead check out carlos's playlist and,give you some ideas on how you can shape,up your beard some of them just require,styling yet some of them require cutting,but as i said don't be afraid to cut,your beard it's going to grow back so um,we mentioned one of the things that i'm,going to talk about in this category so,you can either go with santa you can go,as a version of what carlos does and,then this one is entitled superheroes,now when you think of superheroes,typically you think of your batman you,think of your superman you think of,clean-shaved guys smooth-faced guys,and yet there are a ton of superheroes,who sport beards and so whether you're,team dc or your team marvel there's a,guy for you who is sporting a beard that,you can actually,play up this holiday season,holiday,this halloween season as i mentioned,before there's the wolverine um,hugh jackman had made that famous and,that's actually marvel as you know,tony stark as i mentioned before,from iron man a great um,goatee pattern which you can play up,um and you know play with that,we also have things that i have done,yes,we have,yes,that was my halloween costume last year,we went actually out to dinner uh very,low-key and i went as aquaman to dinner,and uh that was a lot of fun and i loved,making the videos last year and uh you,can pick up the those kind of morph,suits uh really cheap and so give that a,look i also did,recently a version of mr fantastic now,mr fantastic was previously shaved but,if you actually web search uh fantastic,four and mr fantastic um dr reed um he,actually reed richards,reed richards dr richards um he actually,is sporting a beard now so an,opportunity to go as,one of the members of the fantastic four,you can try that out there's always,doctor strange from the marble franchise,we have,green arrow from dc,and then there's always hercules now,people think hercules this is mythology,yes it's mythology but it's actually in,the catalog of marvel comics,so check out any of the comic,franchises you will see tons of bearded,guys oh how can i forget thor we have,one of them hemsworth boys as,thor sporting long hair and a beard so,lots of options there if you want to cut,up your beard lots of options if you,want to keep a full beard lots of,options if you have long hair so look,into superheroes there's always a,costume there and uh people totally dig,it i have to tell you people totally dig,the superhero costume scene,go figure cosplay is really like popular,right now it's always been kind of on,the edge in the fringe it seems to be,gathering speed lots of people are,actually doing cosplay you see,celebrities doing cosplay um but uh it's,pretty easy to put together a cosplay,costume with the resources that you can,now find online,and so to round out our category what is,popular what is trending in either,television or movies they're not the,superhero bent,you can always go with someone from the,cast of bridgerton so if any of you know,about that this is an edwardian um,i was going to say melodrama so um soap,opera series and the lead characters uh,two of them are uh stubble bearded you,can check that out um and you just,search it the guy comes up you know,wearing a beard which is interesting to,think of edwardian england uh facial,hair was not a thing it was not a thing,in 1810 1812 1815 and yet he's sporting,a very 2021 uh stubble beard so check it,out um we have the cast from uh ted,lazzo,ted lazzo himself as well as coach beard,easy costume put together with the,tracksuit sweatsuit especially if you go,as a pair of guys pair,a team,very easy to put together and then,there's also lucifer,so you actually check there's a lot of,tv shows right now that are featuring,you know bearded guys classics you have,the vikings classics you can just go,back,and look at any of the tv you know,search your favorite tv show there's,bound to be a bearded guy on it so i,hope this gave you some ideas you want to be and I,guess that's the whole basis of,Halloween you've an opportunity to come,in a character that you normally,wouldn't be and can lead to a lot of fun,an opportunity to just party and let,loose so here's a sampling of things,that we've done over the years often my,wife and I will do costumes that are,tied in together whether I'm the primary,or she's the primary focus they often,tie together and we've made these,costumes at home roughly probably a day,before we don't spend much time on,Halloween costumes but we always try to,come up with concept that might do well,for the party that we're going through,one of the balls that we go to actually,we've won best couple several times for,these particular costumes you can see,here that we're going full-throttle on,some things and making a commitment you,don't necessarily have to spend a lot of,time we spend maybe,day or two getting the costume together,try not spend a lot of money a lot of,men with facial hair whether it be costumes can quickly be done in,the matter you know of an afternoon even,before you go out for Halloween,so let me get into it here are my five,top picks for Halloween costumes for,2017 that you as a bearded man can rock,this season anything steampunk there's a,lot of hair suit in steampunk whether it,be a mustache goatee or full beard these,costumes as you can see it's really,adding a hat a lot went to a hair care store you could,probably pick these things up at a,costume shop just bought a you know,extensions that women or men would used,to put in their hair didn't spend I,don't think more than six or seven,dollars of these this rope of hair and,actually just put it in my beard and,tied it around my ears and then comb my,beard over,so I went as a gravedigger very easy,costume with the extension of the beard,wearing a top hat to use from a circus,costume that I had earlier wearing a,black coat black shoes black pants and,some heavy makeup around the eyes,carrying around the shovel everyone,immediately knew what I was other,options that you can do are anything,mythological people tell me all the time,hey man you look like Zeus or you look,like Poseidon so there might be an idea,for Halloween costume for me there this,year but anyone rocking a beard a full,beard or a big beard can easily,translate that into anything,mythological so whether you do it as a,strict costume or you put a twist on it,and making a statue version of the,costume a neat very easy costume to,accomplish because it's usually just a,toga sheet laurel wreath in your hair,and a prop whether it be triton or,lightning bolt or anything like that one,of my favorites and the one that'll,finish on is the skull beard and this is,a costume that you see a lot and very,easy to accomplish because you can wear,it any dark clothes in style up your,beard in a way that you normally would,and just apply makeup to the top half of,your face there's a photo editor that,did that became viral in the past couple,of years around Halloween time and I've,actually rocked it in the form of even,what I call team spirit when it's a,zombie football player get a team spirit,I thought was funny,anyhow adding the Transform Your Beard for Halloween!!!

ooh hey everyone welcome back to the,stuff on show and in today's video I'm,gonna transform my face and my beard,into a skeleton and make sure to LIKE,this video and if you haven't already,subscribe to the channel don't leave the,description loyal merch promo codes,links social media all that good stuff,now before we start this endeavor we're,going to need a few things first thing,to start out with is gonna be our base I,got some white base for my face and also,some black for the shadows along with,that I got hair color now this is for,the hair and the beard but don't worry,you can wash it out with shampoo and,beard shampoo to get it all out also I,got some black lipstick to fill in the,lips that way it's nice and dark for the,skeleton look plus I got this piece of,cardboard and the cut buddy when we're,going to do the cardboard we're gonna,make some lines with it I'll show you,guys a little later and also that's,where the cut buddy we're gonna make,some nice sharp lines and hopefully we,can use the angles for the skeleton look,now this is going to take 30 minutes,what I'm going to do is I'm going to,come in intermittently in the time lapse,give you guys some thoughts and some,suggestions as I'm going along with it,so I'm gonna start with the white go to,the black and we're just going to finish,everything up so let's go ahead and,start,now I've been getting some spots that,are just a little bit of even so I'm,trying to get my fingers and my cotton,balls to kind of even everything out now,as I got a base with my eyes in my nose,now we're going to start transitioning,into the beard what I'm gonna do is I'm,going to finish up my nose right here,with the black we're gonna kind of even,everything out with the nose here we're,just kind of missing some stuff over,here the white in the nose and then what,I'm going to do is I'm going to start,using the black on the lips we're gonna,bring the cheeks the lips out to the,cheeks and that's where we start using,the cardboard so let's keep going down,and just keep pressing on,so now what I'm trying to do is have,that effect of the teeth if you guys,remember like in cocoa or an other nice,good examples hocus-pocus the skeleton,in there what we're trying to accomplish,is the teeth look and so what I'm doing,is I'm bringing my jaw and cheek line,into the soul patch so that way we have,a nice rounded shape of the skull and,then I'm gonna blend everything in with,the gray hair color and we're gonna,color in the beard gray so it's like we,have the skull and then we're just an,old gray man in them and have a nice top,cap on me as well so let's keep grinding,away we're just following that line gray,or just keep going,so now we're gonna take the gray out,open it up we're gonna start to drain up,that hair now let's see oh yeah,whoo all right we're getting there now,this is stupid a really good job I am,really surprised right now now there's,something going on you probably are,thinking this I probably look like a dog,too as well but this is really looking,good,I think the teeth will hopefully,probably make it or break it so let's,get the black back out and just keep,going at it we're gonna do the lines,again like I said work is working and,I'm not a professional either the work,now we're looking a lot better it's fun,when you add a lot more dimension into,the actual shape of the design of your,skull you can really you know bring out,that element that you're looking for,it's looking pretty good guys we're,looking really well just to add on to,what we're doing I put a little bit of,white into the beard,and that way gives it a little bit of a,fade from the jaw line into the beard,field really quickly the actual dye of,the beard it makes it look really oh and,it makes it feel looks really old I'm,gonna go grab an element we're gonna put,it in and then we'll kind of finalize,everything up maybe work on my nose a,little bit but let me come back here in,two seconds and we'll continue with the,process now I did a little touch-ups on,the nose I did more of a triangle effect,I just need actually as I can see right,now I just need to add a little bit,that way I like a nice kind of triangle,effect that the nose does before it was,round but I needed more of a intention,now I told you guys earlier you got to,finalize everything we got the beard now,we need the top hat clear that up and a,good idea I was thinking of it was like,this is faux spider webs so I thought it,would be fun to actually put it in my,beard like this you know maybe I'll go,grab some more but that way the beard,when you come up close when you come up,close it'll look really cool like it's,really old like that yes look at that,look how good that looks okay and here's,the here's the kicker because I had and,I made this to you look at this so to,have the spider webs on here we're going,to spider webs on the beard and then of,course we got to put it on the jacket so,I'm at a point where I think I'm ready,to go let's put on the in samba land,let's do kind of like I guess reveal,maybe we'll go to the green screen maybe,I don't know we'll figure it out but,let's hop on over and get everything,together and just like that we got,ourselves a killer scary skeleton,Halloween costume the best part about,this build it was very inexpensive not,only that you don't need to be a,professional to do it even better we use,some stuff around the house spider webs,the jacket latex gloves a hat very easy,and simple to put together that's the,whole fun about Halloween is making your,own costume the whole bill they think,was about under $40 got pretty much,everything at Walmart and you guys I,just want to let you know even if you,are beardsman we can get away with,different Halloween costumes we don't,need to be that lumberjack or that,typical a beardsman guy you can always,add elements of fun like I said I just,put in some hair spray some color hair,spray to my beard always a great holiday,it's a really fun time to express who we,kind of want to be in our alter ego and,this is a great way to do it it's a fun,time going trick-or-treating with your,family eating this was one of the hardest lists i,think i've ever had to put together,in fact it was so difficult that i had,to put in,like 10 honorable mentions in this top,list of 30 so it's actually a list of 40,and i could have easily made it a list,of 50.,so this video who are the top 30 most,iconic,long-haired male characters in movies,and before you jump in the comments,saying i should have included this,actor or this celebrity i just want to,clarify this is a,list of the fictional characters not the,real life celebrity and so i also didn't,include,any animated characters because that,would have just doubled the size of the,list,and it was already hard enough to put,this together so anyways,let's get into it,what's up guys trav white here welcome,back to the channel where we talk all,about the science of grooming,and men's style also love helping men,rock their masculine manes,if you're growing your hair or beard out,and you maybe felt like,you're going at it alone or you're,getting pushback from people in your,life to cut your hair,hit up the mannered manes facebook group,because,all of us while we might be on different,parts of our hair growth journey we all,are going through drop a comment,and let me know who i missed because i'm,sure that i missed a lot of guys also,spoiler warning,in my attempt to explain the character,and all of their awesomeness,i go into a little bit of kind of their,role,in the movie or the television show so,if you don't want any spoilers you,haven't seen the show you haven't seen,the movie and you don't want me to give,anything away this is your spoiler,warning to skip,over the character okay so having said,that let's start with,number 30. okay so coming in,at number 30 we have shah rukh khan's,character,out of bollywood don and dawn ii in the,opening fight scenes of the movie don,shows up in all his flow and epic main,glory,just effing his enemies up kicking ass,and taking names,in my opinion in this role his long hair,symbolizes like a really bad boy look,like a rebel but a guy who's calm cool,and collected in the face of his enemies,and always waits for the right,moment to take action which is why i,gave him number 30 spot,so the best way to style this hair is in,a half high ball and you can rock it,whether you have wavy,curly or straight hair types for this,look so coming in at,number 29 we have dewey finn as played,by,jack black in school of rock and this,guy rocks,pun intended so the reason i love this,character is obviously,you know it's rock and roll but it also,showcases that you don't have to be a,warrior or a demigod to rock long hair,you can be a heavyset guy with a,receding hairline who still loves to,rock out,and let it flow so i just think it's a,really good example of how long hair can,be for,any man so coming in at number 28 we,have,jax teller and sons of anarchy so as a,vice president and later president of,his,outlaw motorcycle club sam crowe which,is actually a fictional representation,of,the real life hell's angels you know,jack's character is played by charlie,hunnam and he deals with,love with brotherhood of loyalty with,betrayal,and with redemption and it was an,amazing show and jax's hair,is about as bad boy biker gang as it,comes,so he styles his hair in several ways in,the show but two of the most common are,the slicked back or the off-center part,and so it's a great option especially,for guys who have fine hair,coming in at numbers 27 we actually have,a three-way tie,because they're all from the same movie,so it's a three-way tie between,chingachuk,unkus and hawkeye in last of the,mohicans,so this is a classic movie and it took,place in the late,you know 1750s during the french and,indian war and all three of these,characters have,phenomenal long hair and chingachiku,proves that you can have a balding,hairline and still rock long hair like a,warrior and a quick a side note real,quick about,you know native american tribes i don't,want to lump them all together because,they all have different beliefs,but what hair means to them is very very,important and it's a big part of their,culture,some tribes believe it's an extension of,nature itself,others believe that their hair is,connected to their nervous system and it,gives,you know gives them strength many tribes,also believe that the cutting of their,hair by their oppressors is a symbol of,submission and defeat and it's one of,the biggest,disrespects that you can bestow upon,them so this list,really wouldn't be complete without,paying tribute to our long-haired native,american brothers so i had to include,these guys on the list because,their their hair is awesome okay so,moving on to number 26 we have prince,gingham in the netflix original marco,polo,so although many of the characters did,have epic,long hairstyles including marco polo the,main character in my opinion,prince jingam's flow was the most epic,so during kublai khan's reign of the,mongol empire,prince jingam was kublai khan's second,son and the true born heir to the throne,although i'm not sure how,fully accurate his representation was,for,like mongolian warriors because most of,the warriors actually shaved their heads,historically in like really creative,ways similar to how,kublai khan was portrayed in the show,but nonetheless,i think prince jingham's flow was,rocking it was one of the best ones out,of all the characters in marco polo,coming in at number 25 we have jaguar,paul,who was the mayan hunter in the movie,apocalypto so after his village was,raided by,like neighboring warriors they were,taking slaves for,like human sacrifices and jaguar paul,was able to hide his pregnant wife and,son in a well before being captured but,the rest of the movie,he's basically just out for survival,right he's doing everything he can,to make it back to them and it's a story,of a survivor it's the story of a hunter,it's a story of a father of a true mayan,warrior and so his long hair is just,epic and it's most likely historically,accurate as well if you look at some,drawings or,carvings or representations of how,mayans looked in the past so let's move,on to,number 24. so at number 24 we have,conan the barbarian so whether we're,talking about the 1982 version,played by arnold schwarzenegger or the,2011 version with jason momoa you know,the long hair,with the shorter side curtains sort of,on the front as you can see,both of those characters have that is a,really strong and masculine look and you,know conan,took no prisoners when he's trying to,avenge the man who murdered his father,but his flow stayed epic the whole,entire time his hair looked amazing,and this is also a really great look if,you guys have like wavy or,starting to get slightly curly hair,moving on,coming in at number 23 we have tristan,ludlow who is played by,brad pitt in the movie legends of the,fall so this movie,is a big inspiration for a lot of guys,who are growing their hair out but,basically tristan was raised in the wild,and was very well versed in native,american culture and he was,the really adventurous type and he's,also a man of honor and duty because he,reluctantly goes off to war to protect,his younger brother,who you know he ultimately fails but he,scalps many enemies along the way in,world war one,and you know feeling extreme guilt for,the loss of his brother he comes back,home,you know tries to redeem himself in as,many ways as he can but,you know if you have straight and wavy,hair with a fine texture sort of,like how brad pitt did in this movie,this is a great look you can you can,strive for,i think the most amazing thing in this,movie though is ultimately he dies at an,old age,like fighting a bear which is so fitting,for his character you know he was born,in the wild and he dies in the wild,it was a good death so at number 22 we,have rambo,so this vietnam war vet was out for,blood,and even though probably most veterans,from vietnam had,shorter military cuts i think they chose,to give rambo long hair just to,symbolize like rebellion,and strength and if there's one thing,that we learned from watching rambo it's,that,rocking the long mane with a headband,just looks pretty epic,so moving on to number 21 i chose dastan,from prince of persia,and actually unlike how the persians,were portrayed in the movie 300,which was completely inaccurate,in prince of persia dastan is actually a,much more accurate portrayal,probably of how a persian warrior looked,back in the ninth century if we look at,ancient drawings the persian warriors,you'll see that they have long hair,coming out of their helmets and there's,also a bit of elegance in his character,the fact that,it's a bit greasy for the whole movie i,think it just makes it feel more,authentic and that's why i chose him,for the 21st spot okay moving on to,number 20. we're deep in the dirt on,this one because it is a,four-way tie between nikki sixx tommy,lee vince neil and mick mars in the,movie,the dirt so the motley crew band rocked,epic,manes in this netflix original and any,guy who wants to head bang,whether they're shouting at the devil or,you know rocking out to kickstart my,heart the only way to do that is you,gotta go,out the main i could this list would not,be complete if i didn't include,rock and roll stars okay cool so,switching gears now to number,19. we have the half saxon half dane who,was betrayed by his saxon uncle,and raised by vikings we're talking,about utrecht son of utred the rightful,heir of bebenburg,from the last kingdom so whether he's,rocking the half high ball like you see,here or the undercut bun,this is a warrior he's a strategist he's,a lover and he's a man on a,mission to reclaim his home and he's,constantly finding that his loyalties,are being yanked between viking and,saxon and his value,is always going unrewarded but he is one,of my all-time favorite characters,because i believe he really represents,what sacrifice,and chasing your destiny truly means so,that's why he came in at the number 19,spot and he's in good company because he,shares the spotlight with our next,iconic,male long-haired lead coming in at,number 18 we have ragnar lothbrok,and um you know seasons one through four,vikings the,those are the seasons where ragnar was,in those were some of my,all-time favorite seasons you know the,newer ones are still really good but i,don't know it just feels like they,lack the depth that was written into,ragnar's character,in my opinion you know he was a warrior,but also a philosopher at the same time,and some of my favorite scenes,are when he was just alone and talking,with king edward,and you know his successful claim to his,legendary fame,did pass down to his four sons who carry,on his name in in the later seasons but,so moving back to his hair,ragnar has undercut braided main in you,know season one and two,was an incredibly accurate,representation of how historical vikings,used to wear their hair,and it's also believed that many vikings,used to,just seduce saxon noble women because,their hair was always well groomed and,it was always,based weekly so vikings even though they,were warriors,they took hygiene very seriously,and actually vikings believed that,anyone with short hair was believed to,be a thrall,or what they would call a slave in,viking culture the long hair,did represent strength it represented,honor and it just represented a lot to,the viking culture,so moving on to number 17 we have,our first demigod i put here loki so,why isn't loki higher on this list well,you know i just think it goes to show,how epic this list still has to,get so so his long dark hair just makes,just the cunning trickery of loki's,character just seem all the more,authentic and i think it really helps,make this roll,i really can't picture a loki with short,hair so his hair is finer,and and it's straight so if you have,fine straight dark hair this is,definitely a really cool look that you,can rock,okay cool moving on to number 16 we have,hercules so whether that's played by you,know the rocks rendition in 2014,or from the tv show in the 90s played by,kevin sorbo,hercules is the roman name for the greek,hero heracles,roman versus greek mythology but they're,essentially the same character you know,hercules father was zeus the king of the,gods and his mother was the mortal woman,alchemy,that zeus cheated on his wife hera and,bred,hercules so hercules is half god half,mortal and he has incredible strength,and stamina because of that in greek and,roman mythology so i think it's awesome,that he's portrayed,in greek mythology with long hair and a,beard,it just goes to show that he's a warrior,type and whichever monster he's fighting,he's doing it with his fierce,mane okay let's move on to 15. coming in,at the 15th spot we have,jack sparrow you know this rum loving,pirate is,eccentric he's cunning and he just,proves that long hair just isn't,complete unless you rock a headband and,a pirate's hat,he's also proof that chin straps can,work if you braid the chin tails but,jack sparrow's character,introduced several ways to accessorize,men's long hair,he's shown very often with the beads the,braids and the dreadlocks,all in one you know he just shows you,that your hair game just isn't complete,without,rocking some accessories so yeah that's,why i included him at number,15. number 14 goes to aragorn,originally known as the ranger named,strider he's eventually revealed in,j.r.r,tolkien's lord of the ring to be the,heir of isildur and the true king of,gondor so he's very well known for his,flowing mane and beard,and i don't think it's a coincidence,that in return of the king when he is,finally crowned,his beard and hair look even more epic,than when he was just a soldier,so i think they did that on purpose just,to show his,promotion and actually two more people,who didn't make the list but,also deserve a mention gimli and gandalf,actually you know pretty much every,single male character in lord of the,rings have long hair so,let's just lump them all in you know,let's lump in the hobbits the slump in,the elves the dwarves the wizards and,the humans,the lord of the rings i don't think,there is one character in that show,at least male character who doesn't have,long hair it's just an epic showcase of,manly mane so coming in at number 13 we,have eric,killmonger from the black panther and,even though in the black panther movie,michael b jordan's hair,isn't incredibly long it's still a,little long but it's not incredibly long,if you do go and actually look at the,comic books,the eric killmonger featured in the,comic books has super long,epic locks and it's just a great,contrast to black panther who has,shorter hair,so i just think that they do a really,good job of playing that dynamic of,giving eric,killmonger really long hair and it also,goes to show it's not always the hero,that rocks long hair and you know the,villain can too so moving on to the 12th,spot,we have winter soldier aka bucky barnes,and even though he was brainwashed by,the russians to be a killing machine,known as winter soldier james buchanan,barnes aka,bucky he did spend the rest of his life,trying to make up for the damage he,caused as the winter soldier,you know fighting side by side with,captain america and fun fact when actor,sebastian stan was on set with,comic artist ed brubacher he asked him,why does bucky barnes have long hair why,the long hair,and ed brubacher simply responded well,when we draw,these characters in comic books long,hair just looks more epic,and then i think ed makes a great point,right it looks more epic in real life,too,moving on to number 11 the joker both,portrayed by joaquin phoenix and heath,ledger and both are also,great examples of having long hair and,mature or receding hair lines and still,making it work but,i think the best part about the joker,that really sets him apart,with his long hair is the green long,hair it really becomes a part of his,uniform it becomes a part of his,intimidation,the way joker looks is incredibly,important to his character,and how he's branding himself and i,don't think he would be the villain he,is,without the green long hair it's a very,symbolic part of his character,okay cool moving on to number 10 okay,we're getting in the top 10 now number,10,is thor right hand man,heimdall and heimdall is the sole,protector of the bifrost,which is the bridge between asgard and,the other worlds and earth and you know,you could call him the guardian of the,worlds,and such a huge responsibility can only,be carried out by,this warrior with an epic mane so that's,why heimdall deserves,the number 10 spot and i really loved,his performance in ragnarok i thought,just his long hair just looked epic,throughout that whole movie okay cool,number nine,we have john wick it's no coincidence,that they make,the most deadly assassin in history a,long-haired legend and in my opinion his,main pairs perfectly with,his stoic demeanor and his monochrome,style,it's simple you know he's a man of few,words but he's a man of,action and i think the long hair just,pairs perfectly with,who he is even with who keanu reeves is,just as a person is very similar,to just the stoicism and he's very,soft-spoken but when he does,speak people listen so this is why i,think john wick deserved,the number nine spot moving on number,eight,we have geralt of rivia the witcher,actually inspired me to keep growing my,hair out and i was getting ready to cut,it back down to,you know above shoulder length you know,i thought my hair was getting a little,long and then the witcher dropped on,netflix,and i was like all right i'm gonna keep,growing now for sure,and in the books geralt is known as the,white wolf so i think that,you know his white mane is super,inspiration,in the show on netflix and it also,inspired a lot of you know half,up half down ponytail looks as the daily,go-to for a hairstyle for guys and it's,just,an inspiration to keep growing out your,mane and and having it look awesome and,a goal to reach you know it also keeps,your hair out of your face you're still,letting it down and you're letting it,flow,moving on to number seven we have jon,snow,aka the king of the north aka aegon,targaryen aka,the one who should have killed the night,king aka the one who should have been,king instead of bran,but regardless of what you want to call,him i'm glad there's finally a curly,haired hero,that made the top 10 you know outside of,heimdall but heimdall had,uh dreadlocks um but i'm sure he would,have super curly hair,if he took the dreads out so john's,honor and character,are what make him a great leader and why,you know all the men around him chose to,follow him so i'm really,excited and pumped up that such a great,written character,is a fellow long hair so let's move on,to,number six number six i chose to put,in tarzan because when i think about,how a guy would look in his most,primitive,nature right if we didn't have the,technology or,an economy or jobs or social culture and,we all basically go back to being,cavemen in our most natural evolutionary,form i think,our hair might look something like,tarzan you know wearing a loincloth,having to survive in the jungle,we've obviously come a long way since,our prehistoric predecessors but i think,there is an argument to be made here,that long hair could be,our most natural form so now we are,moving,into the top five,at number five i chose samson and i mean,what else,is there really to say about this,character right his hair,was his strength i don't know how much,more symbolic,you can get than that about long hair on,guys you know whether the movie was good,or not is up for debate but,the story of samson is one of the most,iconic long-haired stories you can read,and for that reason,i put him in the top five he's not as,epic as this,next one we have number four we have,aquaman so this,epic mane is of this half man half,merman you know it just goes to show,that men with long hair can still enjoy,their beach days and not worry too much,about salt water damage,and it shows that no one is too good for,highlights,so you know even though very few species,of sea animals,are mammals although there are some um i,still just aquaman would not be aquaman,without his epic locks i've been saying,epic a lot,i think i'm gonna try and stop saying,epic,number three we have achilles so,this was an amazing greek warrior as,portrayed by brad pitt in the movie troy,and uh the achilles of greek mythology,was,again half god half mortal who was,invulnerable,everywhere except where his mother held,him as a child which was his,achilles heel so because of his half god,status he was one of the greatest greek,warriors to ever live,immortality take it it's yours,and he's known you know for defeating,troy's greatest warrior hector and it's,also a really accurate portrayal if you,look at homer's,iliad achilles is also portrayed there,with super long hair,so i think that it's just making,achilles a long-haired killing machine,is just awesome in my opinion and at,number two,even though we've already paid tribute,to lord of the rings,this list just wouldn't be complete if,we didn't give,legolas his own spot in my opinion,legolas was the original,geralt orivia hairstyle you know he made,the long blonde half pony,look awesome and it gave a lot of guys,inspiration to grow their hair out,beyond shoulder length and additionally,we can see a few scenes,from the lord of the rings where it's,really fast but if you look i'll pull up,a picture here,where he has half pony and then he,braids the ponytail so i think that that,could be a really cool look as well and,uh he also has a braid on the side of,his head too and so i don't know,but when i think of a long hair on man i,just legolas was just one of the first,characters to come to my mind when,putting this list together,i had to put him at number two,but before we get to our number one spot,i have to include,our honorable mentions and i'm just,gonna run through this list really fast,because there's 10 of them that you can,argue should have made the list but,here we go qui-gon jinn he deserves to,be on this list he's a jedi,one of the most epic jedi's and his long,hair is awesome andre layton,in the show snow piercer which is a,brand new show,that just came out this year but if you,go watch,snow piercer i think it's on tnt andre,leighton has the most epic here we go,again saying epic the most epic,dreadlocks and it just he deserves a,shout out i just saw his dreadlocks were,phenomenal and,i'm really just glad that there's a show,in 2020 they're putting guys,with super cool long hair on the screen,okay this list would not be complete if,we,left a lot of characters from harry,potter hagrid dumbledore,and sirius black i think all deserve,some recognition for their wizardly,manes,and to the man who famously said that's,just like your opinion man,who was that well you know that's just,like,uh your opinion man big lebowski's,the dude you know we got to mention it,you know he deserves to be mentioned on,this list,also if you ever seen the movie velvet,gold mine,so the character brian slade who loosely,portrayed david bowie's life but,he deserves a mention i just think he's,an epic representation of long hair,on rock and roll stars and keeping the,rock and roll theme,the entire band from the movie almost,famous the fictional band stillwater,there's there's a real band still water,and then there's in the movie almost,famous we have the fictional band still,water but they deserve a shout out their,rock and roll mains were awesome,as we close out this list of honorable,mentions by basically shouting out,every guy from the cult classic movie,the warriors if you just,look at that you know every single guy,in that group had awesome long hair and,i had to include them,in this list so those are all the,honorable mentions,and now we are moving on to,the number one spot who is it,this should come as no surprise thor i,think whenever a guy imagines long hair,thor is probably one of the first if not,the first,characters that comes to mind and it's,also no coincidence that,in the movies his hair did symbolize his,strength and this is very apparent,in the movie ragnarok when he becomes,this gladiator-esque,slave and he's forced to fight in the,dome and he's fighting against the hulk,and what's the first thing that they do,when he becomes,a slave is they strip him of his honor,and his nobility,and they take that huge razor saw and,they shave his head,so that was very symbolic of him going,from god to slave,and in norse mythology most of the male,gods did have long hair,and even in viking culture who,worshipped the norse gods short hair did,symbolize slavery so,when thor's hair was cut in ragnarok,this was a very symbolic way of showing,that he became a slave and why,his long hair looks even more epic when,he's,kicking thanos ass with cap,now don't you move my hands aren't as,steady as they used to be,by odin's beard you shall not cut my,hair,lest you feel the wrath of the mighty,thor,please kind sir do not cut my hair,and there you have it guys that was the,whole list what did you think,whether you're a god or a demigod or a,rock star,a warrior a wizard a king superhero a,super villain,or the guy that should have been king,instead of brand long means on men,are one of the best ways to showcase,your masculinity i think we can put to,bed,the idea that men with long hair are,somehow lazy,or you know feminine or whatever just,insult or even like what they think an,insult,is right what the person thinks they're,saying is an insult just take five,minutes and look at cultures all over,the world,all throughout hey dudes you like my outfit it sure,gets me party next Saturday what have,you at least watched one of the two,Great Gatsby movies well I looked at,pictures from the last event and,everybody's wearing stuff like this dude,it's an evening event at least buy or,rent a dinner suit welcome everyone to,another episode of vintage Porsche today,I would like to give you some tips how,to dress for a gets B or a 1920s themed,party,so this is a definite no-no don't wear,slow waist denim don't wear a slim fit,shirt don't wear a bowtie especially not,one of those that you can't tie yourself,and please don't wear clip-on braces,this is basically a very very trashy in,1920s newsboy look and hence nothing you,should wear to an evening event instead,golfer a clean black tie look the dinner,suit or tuxedo,as you would say in America actually,replaced the tail coat during the 1920s,as the official Black Tie attire don't,worry about an historical cut too much,but of course you get bonus points for,white lapels high-waisted trousers and,especially short waistcoats if you want,to stand out go for the mobster look,pick a dark blue dark grey or black suit,three-piece or double-breasted including,pin or chalk stripes even though it's,not an evening attire it's ok for most,themed parties I wouldn't recommend the,newsboy look but if you really want to,do it then do it right,braces are considered underwear so you,should cover those with a waistcoat,simply leave the bowtie it has nothing,to do with the noose girl look go for,high waist pants and short waistcoat a,light blue shirt and a white detachable,collar might give you a certain peaky,blinders Bible if you really want to,show off your braces then for God's sake,take the buttoned ones and not the,clip-ons no clip-on braces understood ok,cool I hope that helped thanks for,watching please subscribe to my channel,leave me comments on what to talk about,next give me a thumbs up for this video,and see you soon

to fix this so in this,video i'm going to break apart that,question and answer it for every single,guy on the planet that's a bold,statement but stick around until the end,and let me know in the comments if i,accomplish that goal so some common,complaints that guys make about their,hair are things like it doesn't look how,i want it to look i don't know what,products or regimens to follow i get,discouraged and i'm about to give up,growing out my hair someone please give,me some advice or help me so here are,some of the top reasons or mistakes men,make that can cause them to feel this,way and how to fix each one and again,stick to the end because i share the,secret to beating the awkward stage of,hair growth so mistake number one is,actually not having any idea what your,hair type is now most guys they grow,their hair and they use the same,drugstore products they've always used,of course thinking that the quality of,their hair won't change because it was,healthy when it was short so why would,anything be different when they grow it,out this is completely wrong chances are,the products you use with short hair are,actually not the right products to use,for your longer hair why travis why is,this the case so think of your hair like,rope well rope that's growing if you,always chop away old rope before it,dries out you're always going to have,fresh new rope right and it's going to,be strong and healthy but if you stop,cutting that rope and then that rope,continues to sit in the sun get exposed,to the environment use products that,aren't properly hydrating or are too,harsh and drying then that rope is going,to get brittle and snap over time you,know or it'll just look really damaged,all the time so by adding correct,products for your hair type in a proper,regimen you can always have strong and,healthy rope hair that will always look,great but here's the catch every single,guy every person has a different hair,type has a different type of rope but for context let me,quickly break down a few examples so if,you're someone who has fine textured,hair which is defined as taking one,strand rolling it through your fingers,and you're barely able to track it like,you can barely feel that one strand then,your hair is lightweight and it gets,weighed down easily so for you you,should avoid using heavier products,heavier shampoos heavier conditioners so,you would shop for more volumizing,products things like the odell,volumizing line the jvn embody line or,the philip kingsley bodybuilding line if,you are on the opposite end and you have,thick and coarse hair then you would,shop for something opposite you're going,to want something a little heavier to,help kind of weigh your hair down a,little bit heavier conditioner maybe,even some leave-ins to use after you,shampoo and condition so not knowing,your hair type and not knowing how to,apply that information to your shopping,into your regimen is the first mistake,men make when they complain that they,don't like how their hair looks and that,is unmanageable and honestly this is,probably the most common one which is,why i address it in probably ninety,percent of my videos at this point and,it's why it's mistake number one but,it's not the only mistake so let's move,on to the next one so the second mistake,guys make is actually the most common,mistake after mistake number one and,this is they've given themselves the,wrong hair type so they think that they,have one hair type but they actually,have a completely different one how,could you make this mistake i mean it's,actually really easy i did it for a,while i'll explain that in a second but,for example when a guy has shorter hair,it looks straight because it's short and,then they grow it out and they realize,that they actually have some waves that,haven't shown up yet and then the longer,it grows they're like oh wow my hair is,actually pretty wavy so in reality they,have 2b hair when they thought they had,type 1 hair now this is a probably the,most common one it's actually really,rare for people to have pin straight,hair although it's not impossible for,example a lot of asian men they do have,coarse pin straight hair that's very,common in the asian culture but most,people have some sort of wave and it's,easier to see the longer it gets and it,becomes more pronounced the longer your,hair gets so this is really important,because your regimen is going to,slightly change you might try adding a,curl cream to bring out those waves you,might brush your hair differently or,less often because if you brush wavy,curly hair it gets super frizzy in fact,you might not even brush when it's dry,you might detangle it in the shower with,a wet brush instead of brushing it when,it's dry so you could think you have one,hair type but are actually incorrect and,need to change up your regimen so some,common signs of this are if you're,following a regimen for straight hair,but you always have frizz and it feels,unmanageable i'm actually a great,example for the longest time i thought i,had a mixture of type 1 and 2a hair when,i moved cities to a more humid,environment my natural waves started,coming out a lot more and i started to,realize that i actually had more of a 2a,2b combination hair so i started,brushing less often i started detangling,when my hair is wet and using more curly,hair regimens and i was really able to,accentuate natural waves and that change,in regimen has been a game changer so,let me know if the comments if you'd,actually like me to make a wavy hair,tutorial because i think it might be,helpful for a lot of you guys who think,you have straight hair but you actually,have wavy hair the next mistake most,guys make they don't minimize the,awkwardness when they're in the awkward,stage and it causes them to give up and,it's it makes it be more unmanageable so,let me explain,the awkward stage can be minimized and,almost avoided and you do this by,shaping your hair as it grows guys grow,out their hair from all different cuts,they grow it out from an undercut from a,buzz cut from a side part and to get to,the desired result they want they,usually just let it grow and they get to,this awkward phase this is when your,hair is too long to style it up or too,short to be able to tie it up and you're,not sure what to do so what you need to,do is make an appointment with your,stylist and bring in a photo of your end,goal so show them a photo of someone who,has the style and length that you want,your hair to look once you get to that,goal and make sure this person in the,photo has the same hair type as you,right if you're thinning on top you know,don't bring in a photo of thor and be,like yeah this is what i want,find someone who shares your hair type,and then bring in that image so be,realistic about it and then ask them to,shape your hair in a way that once you,hit the proper length it will be that,style that you want this will balance,out a lot of the awkwardness and sort of,allow your hair to lay,naturally and still look nice even when,it's in that in between length so they,might add some texture they might add,some layers they might even out,everything so one side isn't longer than,the other and this is just going to,allow the awkward stage to look nicer,you'll be more motivated you won't give,up and you probably won't get a lot of,negative comments from people when,you're in that in between stage as well,it might still feel a little bit awkward,to you because you're not sure how to,style it but you can get away with going,out in public without having to do any,crazy things you just have to lay,naturally maybe put a little bit of sea,salt to give it some texture and you're,good to go but
