hey everyone kimo here and welcome to my,home,i am so excited today to participate in,the inspired,fall diy challenge and for me there's no,better fall inspiration,than halloween for this challenge i'm,going to be creating,scary creepy glow-in-the-dark specimen,jars,that any mad scientist would be proud of,this challenge is hosted by,elena at elena jenkins diy and also,linda at faithchick777s diy by design,both of these ladies are incredible,makers and they focus on things like,diy projects and home decor and i,encourage you to go and check them out,i've got links to their channels in specimen jar,project alright let's get going,so for our project i decided to use jars,from the thrift store,i could have gotten mason jars from,dollar tree but i think that,getting a nice variety of different,kinds of jars,is perfect for this project but from the,dollar tree i did get this glass,candlestick that we're going to attach,to the bottom of a couple of our jars,using e6000 glue,adding these candlesticks to the bottom,of the jars will give it,kind of an apothecary jar look as well,as elevate these jars to give different,levels of height,for best results let that glue have a,chance to cure,overnight,now i got several items from the dollar,tree that we're going to put into our,specimen jars,starting with this cat toy love that,little furry tail,and we also have some toys that i got,out from the uh the kids toy section,like that little,three-laded three-legged monster and,this kind of squishy toy,as well and i'm gonna alter,some of these items more than others for,the cat toy we're simply just gonna tear,off the tags and put those in,but for these kids toys here i didn't,like that big,eye in there and so i'm just taking a,sharpie and adding some black around the,sharpie so that we have sort of some,indistingu,indistinguishable features can't say,that word and the same thing for this,one i'm actually going to,punch or cut a hole into here so that,we're going to let some of the air out,but i'm also going to,color over those eyes in a black sharpie,as well,so with some of the air deflated this,actually turns out to be one of my,favorite items,that we put in the specimen jar,during this time of year dollar tree,also has some really great halloween,decor,including these uh skeletons of,different animals,i just realized that one of them already,doesn't have a head oh well,and so i'm gonna simply tear off some of,these bones,and these little bone pieces are gonna,go in some of the,jars as well,so here we've got lots of bones and,skeleton parts to work with,now i wanted to put together at least,one unusual creature so i decided to,make a skeleton,mermaid and i have a few items that are,going to help me to do that from the,dollar tree,first these little skeletons human,skeletons and you can see that i'm,clipping off both,the arms and the legs the legs i'm,clipping off because it's a mermaid and,we don't need those for this particular,project,but i also clipped off the arms in order,to reposition them,and so you can see i've got some feet,that i'm going to use i'm going to put,those in one of the specimen jars,but going to the whale i am using a,knife to cut off the top,portion of that whale and we're going to,use the bottom portion for our mermaid,tail,now the tail seemed to be the right,length but it was way too,big to fit in that skeleton so i'm using,a heat gun here,to shrink some of that down and a,scissors to cut,out parts of the tail just so that i can,make it fit a little better,now that the inside of the tail is a,little smaller,i'm going to use some hot glue to,glue that portion or that skeleton into,the tail,here i'm gluing back on the arms but in,a way that makes a little bit more sense,to me,if this merman is going to be in a jar,now i don't have a doll or any doll hair,on hand,but i did have some purple yarn which,i'm going to use to create hair for our,mermaid,you can see that i'm wrapping around,that yarn on my fingers,almost as if i'm going to make a tassel,you can see here that i'm trying to,brush out that yarn i think it worked,pretty,well if i had more patience probably it,would have turned out a little bit,better but i think that,for the most part we have what we need,for mermaid,hair and we're going to glue that on,with some hot glue,now we're gonna make some glow in the,dark water to put in our specimen jars,and as a reminder we're using these,highlighters that i got from dollar tree,they come,three in a pack and you can see on one,end where you normally remove the cap,that's where you use the highlighter,but we're interested in removing the,other end of the pen,i'm putting on a glove for this part of,the project because we're going to be,handling some,highlighter juice for lack of a better,term,and you can see that that just slid out,the other end of our highlighter,and i'm basically going to milk it as,much as i can and when i milk it this,fluorescent liquid comes out into our,jar,i'm just gonna add some water to that,jar and i just use one highlighter,i'm gonna not quite fill it up all the,way so that we have room to put our,items into our specimen jar,and look at that awesome,glow-in-the-dark juice it's so cool,i'm gonna put some of these insects,these plastic insects that came in a,couple of bags from dollar tree,and you can see that i just need to kind,of fit them in there i'm going to add a,little bit more water to fill that water,line to the top,for a couple of our toys that were kind,of filled with air like this one was,i put more snips into it and made sure,that we got some water,inside of the toy so that it could weigh,it down,with all of our objects now inside the,specimen jars,we need to talk about lighting in this,case i decided to use,some submersible lights that i had left,over,and you can see that once those lights,go into that jar,man that glow is so incredible if you,don't have submersible,votive candles like this you can also,consider a black light or even,some strategically placed votive candles,in between the jars,and here is our final result,thank you so much for joining me today,please Halloween Bubble Tube prop

hey guys I just wanted to show you my,first completed Halloween prop of 2016,this year we're gonna be doing a,Frankenstein themed attraction at her,home so you can't have a Frankenstein,theme without having a laboratory so,this is the first prop of the laboratory,could be a busy year got a lot of stuff,I want to make so this is uh I guess you,could call this a bubble tube machine or,I don't know but it's kind of got that,old style which I'm looking for like the,old Frankenstein movies so let me turn,the lights out to show you in more,detail okay so the tubes are used for,this they're actually glass wine models,from vogel wine which is a Pinot Grigio,and as you can see we've bought a couple,of them over the years so and I just,kept them around I just thought they,were kind of a cool bottle and maybe I,could use them for something that so,this was the perfect project for that,and so I kind of routed all my lines I,wanted everything to come up from the,bottom so it was all in one unit these,bottles they just have a plastic cap on,so basically this is follows upside down,right now this is just the bottom of the,bottle to do it this way I knew it was,gonna have to drill some kind of air,hole here because you can't just pus out,into a bottle what's sealed without,having some kind of air release so I did,have to use if you could see there so,that it's kind of like at a tile bit and,also these are you can you can drill,glass or,you just had to be very careful so I,just drilled a very tiny little hole on,the top of here now let's air come,escape from the top of the bottle now I,do want to point out that you know I,wanted to keep everything coming up from,the bottom but about halfway through,this project that was I was outlining I,saw a video from from gospel ooh and he,made a great bubble tube and I wish I,want to see news video before I started,this cuz I probably would have more men,mimic the way he did is he actually did,the airlines coming in from the top and,I think he used some sort of plastic,water bottle and I tell you what I ran,into a lot of issues trying to keep,everything sealed on the bottom I've got,everything caught with silicone sealant,and it turned out ok but there's a lot,of headaches to get to this point so I,just want to give a shout out to Gotham,and I'm gonna I'm gonna put a link to,his YouTube clip on the bottom here and,yeah I just wish I would have seen that,before he has turned out excellent and,probably going the route that he took,who's gonna save you a lot of headaches,but anyway here this is my take on it,and so other also the point out here,these tops here they come up these are,just these were actually chromed and I,just painted them but they're actually,plumbing caps like for instance this,would conceal a plumbing line I don't,know exactly what they called I just,found them in our store and then to,point out here I actually found these,these gauges and like a used electronics,store how much a paid-for missed a,couple bucks I think but they actually,didn't light up so I installed some LEDs,in the back just to let him mop and then,I got a couple switches here that do,switch off but let's take a look at the,back it's a mess but I'll show you how,the wider than you what else I have in,the back here,okay so I'll pop the back open here,expose this way you're a nightmare,first of all I've got two lines going in,ones that twelve volt for the LEDs and,120 volt for the aquarium fish tank punk,that I've got in here that's just for,the bubbles,so one thing to note there if because,I'm wiring these from the bottom,I had to get these one-way valves,because you know when it's things off,and there's disconnected,the water is gonna want to leak down,here and so this is uh this one leg,valve prevents that just to know if you,do go this route you have to get these,one-way valves and you can kind of see,the bottom this is the bottle they're,actually the top of the wine bottle it's,a plastic cap and I was able to just,drill in the bottom and put some LEDs in,there as you can see I used,just a small breadboard for all my,wearing,it's not I'm not very proud of this kind,of a wearing nightmare but,works,close the hatch on this thing and call,it done well I hope you guys liked like,I said I get I got a busy year ahead of,me I got a whole bunch of ideas and,hopefully I'll be able to get to all of,them so more videos to come,if you guys have any questions or,comments feel free to leave them I will,try to answer anything and subscribe to,the channel if you haven't already,thanks a lot for watching and happy,hunting

HOW TO DECORATE FUN FOR HALLOWEEN~MAD SCIENCE LAB~FRANKENSTEIN

welcome back to crafting with Julie,going to show you our Halloween mat,science area that we have it's all along,the back of the kitchen area,we don't use these counters for a lot so,it's perfect and I'll give you some let,you know about some things we do to make,it extra neat and fun the kids really,like playing over here so okay let's get,started first I have these lights out,and I don't leave them on a lot because,they're really okay I don't have a lot,of them you don't have any kind of big,character for over here I would love to,have like a Mad Science dummy might make,one this year I started this a few years,ago and I've tried to add things every,year to make it a little better so let,me let's get started here okay so 99% of,the bottles are from thrift stores just,like the witches room and I've printed,off these labels at the computer,and I tried to make them a little more,geared toward scientist slash crazy,doctor then the which when you might be,pushing bottles so it's a some of it,rolls over to the which room and rolls,back over here say so we have a jar of,magnets here these are from these little,guys are from Dollar Tree the heads are,from pretty no they're from spirit,Halloween last year at the end of the,year I bought them for like a dollar or,something at the end of the Halloween,season I mean these are all from,Michaels because I haven't been able to,find any of these at the store there's,nothing really in these bottles with the,colors this is just what we do over here,isn't that great it's got like a purple,to it what we do is I get the slime kits,or we ever we can make around to I get,the swine kits better all different and,one day before Halloween we come out and,make a bunch of slime pits and and mix,the potions and and the things together,and there is so much fun the kids just,love doing that bone powders just salt,with our eyeballs eyeballs a front,Dollar Tree,those grow things that you put in water,that kids like and I actually turn it,around where it's not showing much I,think that's a skull I don't remember,putting it in that bottle last year but,it's popping this is so cool because,octopus and it's actually I've had this,these about four years now in at the end,of Halloween I drained them in a little,set out to dry for a few days then I,store them away and they do the same,thing again I expand so reusable I don't,know how long I'll be able to do this,there are a couple tears in this one but,it doesn't really make a difference and,here is a stingray that expands this one,looks really realistic kind of this is a,hand says me and China on the back so we,keep it this way arsenic poison,embalming fluid now these empty bottles,will probably end up putting like a,slime mixture in plant leaves in it the,kids don't like it they said it looks,like this is just a oiling cam I found,babies again some test tubes you can get,these online or at Michael's I got them,online because I wanted plastic one side,you have not been able to find anything,but glass ones at the first store,so last year the kids made slime and put,this,Li's never got to take one home because,they were plastic and then we have this,head and with batteries he opens his,eyes and talks sly cocoa fester but I'm,not going to put batteries in him yet,then we come over here to where he does,some of his work,we have his operation tray with paper,that's our operating tray got this tray,at the Dollar Tree,no I didn't I'm sorry,this little thing I got a search store,and the rat was from Dollar Tree and,they put those little high groan,hygrometer and the barometer in there,just because I just think that adds a,little bit of electronics to this mad,science area and I don't know what else,to add to it so I got this it remember I,got this thing's human stomach fit let's,see we got a piece of the brain of a,mammal kidney so that work this actually,is a real um microscope this is from,Dollar Tree it's kind of cheap this is,just a random bowl full of electrical,firing bits that I threw in here so when,we need to bring him to life we can,connect wires and things to him that's,what all backs for then we have let's,see over here I made this with the,dollar store frame some burlap in the,back of it and then I just printed off,those things online these are all,printed off and don't steal stuff on to,make them look a little old this is a,Dollar Tree skeleton this skeleton back,here I'm not going to touch him because,he falls apart came with a science kit,that one of the kids had so it's perfect,for him here,these are some books we made for just,they're just books we burnt the edges of,them seal them up cover them with scrap,of paper and then we have this skull,head this is probably most expensive,thing that's here because I bought this,at Michael's because I really needed,something like I had more detail that we,could use as a diagram or whatever for,the mad scientist's and then these are,one of these things I've known that the,first or this is from dollar store back,over this again here little some of this,stuff I don't even know what it is I,just thought it would look cool over,here I like that thing,I just pick up stuff if I see something,really cool during the year that I have,to have for this I will get it,otherwise I ready till September October,to pick up stuff not a whole lot of,money was spent on this and it's a lot,of fun and this actually is for,Michael's do when they have their half,off Halloween stuff every few weeks or,whatever I think this was eight bucks I,don't know what John Park's Mad Science Test Tube Rack @adafruit @johnedgarpark #Halloween #adafruit

i'm john park for adafruit and this is,the mad science test tube,rack so this is actually a fairly simple,build but it has a great look to it and,you can use it as a halloween prop or,another spooky effect the mad science,test tube rack uses a feather micro,controller and ultraviolet leds the leds,are set into the stoppers on these test,tubes and they blink in a sort of spooky,pattern,the test tubes are filled with water and,ultraviolet reactive pigment when the uv,light shines on the pigment a,fluorescence effect is achieved similar,to how a black light poster works,i initially came up with the idea for,this project by shining some uv light,onto some tonic water the quinine in the,tonic water will fluoresce when you,shine a uv light on it,now if you want to get lots of crazy,colors you need to go online and get,yourself some uv reactive pigments here,you can see i've got pink and blue,yellow green and so on you'll take a,very tiny,pinch,of the pigment,and place it in a,jar next i'll add water,in this case about 50 milliliters,and give it a good shake,you don't want to over saturate it if,you put too much pigment in there'll be,a lot of particulate matter and it'll,block the uv light so while this looks,like a fairly dilute mixture,what you'll find is in the dark when you,shine a uv light on it it'll glow,beautifully so i will try now to,demonstrate,with a uv led,and we can see as,the led shines on the fluid,the pigment fluoresces,let's try that with the lights off,now that i know it's working i'm going,to go ahead and pour,the fluid into a test tube,using this,spouted measure,and now i can take one of the rubber,stoppers,and place my led into the hole in the,stopper the five millimeter led happens,to fit perfectly,so i'll place the led,there,and then plug,the stopper into the test tube,and once again when i turn on,the led,it glows,once you've got your test tubes glowing,the next thing you want to do is put,them in a rack of some kind now you can,get some pretty nice wooden ones or,plastic ones online or at a laboratory,or chemistry supply i decided to build,this industrial spooky gothic one using,half inch black iron pipe fittings and,some laser cut acrylic stands for the,tube holders,as well as this little support in the,middle that holds the microcontroller,for the microcontroller i chose a,feather proto this is the 32u4 you could,also use the m0 chip,or any arduino or other microcontroller,or even a raspberry pi if you like in,this case i have 13 digital output pins,that are supplying the roughly 3 volts,per led,now i got away without using current,limiting resistors because the forward,voltage of these uv leds is basically,the same as the voltage of the feather,but if you're using another,microcontroller you may want to make,sure to use a current limiting resistor,to avoid blowing up your leds as cool as,that might be you can find all of the,details for building this exact rack and,the microcontroller code is available,online on the learning guide that,accompanies this build,and that is the mad science test tube,rack,i hope you have a spooky time building,yours,so,you

How to Make Spooky Specimen Jars ⎢Martha Stewart

for your home for this Halloween,specimen jars these look like they came,straight out of a mad scientist's,laboratory they're really easy to make,and your trick-or-treaters will love,them just line these up outside your,front door or inside your drawer where,you ask the trick-or-treaters to come in,and beg for their treats well it's a new,product for me it's a very interesting,product called an end cap so and you use,end caps okay this stuff one to one and,you pour into a container like this and,mix them once more liquidy than the,other,and what you're doing is really making a,solid clear material that will,encapsulate whatever you put in it so,it's very very fun so that's one two one,stir that for five minutes so I'm not,gonna stand here for five minutes so we,unfortunately but we have one cup of,this liquid already and we're going to,be making a rather unattractive sort of,inside of a of a head including teeth,and eyeballs so here we just pour that,in let it set and it has to dry for two,hours that's going to dry so now we have,it dry look at this and if you I need a,little thing if you poke it it's hard,see this is not going down,and so we're going to now put our teeth,these are called billy-bob teeth don't,ask me why but they are five to ten,dollars at the Halloween store all the,all our sources will be on our website,at Martha Stewart calm and so you're,going to now fix the teeth with a little,bit of SIL puck see I would call it,silly poxy but whatever so you put a,little bit on the edge and a little bit,behind all this dries up,lutely clearly and you put this down,like that with a pair of chopsticks,these chopsticks work really well with a,rubber band it makes like a clamp so,that let that just dry again for 15,minutes we already have our dry see,they're not going to fall out and turn,it upside down there they're affixed,very nicely encapsulated and now we pour,another one and third cups so don't just,make one of these make several at the,same time soo so you maximize the use of,your time because every one has to dry,for 15 or 20 minutes or whatever and so,now this has to state for about 15,minutes that will dry and now we have,two eyeballs so see now where the where,it is can you see that it's right above,the teeth and we're going to stick these,eyeballs in with some more silk oxy and,I don't know what we're gonna do with,all these specimen jars any idea Tom,every year we have Halloween and every,year we come up with more and more,elaborate fabulous simple ideas because,this is really simple you just need a,little bit of stuff to do these crazy,things let that dry for 15 minutes and,now pour your final layer up one and a,quarter cups right into the eyeballs and,this should dry overnight when it's,totally dry and you're ready for your,party you can put these little puck,lights these cost five dollars each put,that in the bottom of a little little,sort of tray here,here's your eyeballs and teeth that now,see how the light just comes right up,through that clear encapsulated stuff,and here we have this dry ice this is,the fun part,don't touch this this is not good this,is pure solidified it's a carbon dioxide,our dry ice and then pour a little bit,of water while your party is going on,and just keep refreshing the water and,you see what happens you will have a,very scary interesting display your pans,can be

Thrift Haul and Ideas for Mad Scientist Laboratory-Halloween Props-Dr. Frankenstein’s Laboratory

okay let's see if this can work better i,just tried to do one and,it either cut off or something i don't,know anyway um so i'm gonna go through,this again um these are things i got at,the thrift store to work on for my mad,scientist laboratory for halloween this,year,these uh two clocks and this picture,frame i got to do to remake to use as,gauges,um for various,things that a mad scientist might want,to measure this one,i'm gonna redo as in a live meter um,i'm gonna just take out the backing and,replace it with something that goes from,dead to it's alive,um so this should be pretty easy i'm,probably gonna start tackling this today,um but i liked that it had a sort of,faux,antique,finish that looks like patina copper,um and then this clock has this,spinning mechanism that i think is,really cool i don't know whether it,still functions on its own with with new,batteries or not um but i'm gonna,probably do the same thing with the,clock face of changing it to something,else like pseudo scientific,and then this i'm gonna,probably have on one of the control,panels i'm gonna make on its side with,some illustrated dials um,so that's my plan with those,still kind of loose,ideas but that's the gist of it,these i all got to be racks for potions,and chemistry bottles and things like,that um this one i was really excited,about this is i think a wine rack i'm,gonna have a pair of wine bottles in,there that are clear filled with um,black light,diluted black black like plant diluted,in water um so it'll refract or reflect,the bright light from the black light,with um coming from the corks a couple,of tubes that will,um,also have the black light paint in them,to sort of look like ivs going onto the,mad scientist surgery table,so i'm probably gonna hang it from the,ceiling from the loop here but because,it has the stand that gives me a lot,more flexibility in where i'm gonna use,it which is cool um,like i said those are gonna probably,have potions or chemistry bottles or,prescription bottles something like that,i'm going to make tons of those,of various kinds,this i thought looked like,something a scientist who was up late,late late into the night slaving away at,their creations,might need some caffeine to get them,through,so i got this because it looked kind of,steampunky i need to replace the finial,on it,and i'm debating whether i should remove,the patina or leave it there so if,anybody has ideas on that let me know,if there's so many ideas you could do,with a cool finial like that and i don't,know whether i should go simple or,really ornate or what,um,this i think ice cream bucket i don't,have specific plans for yet it was a,little bit of an impulse buy it has,really nice like aged patina,around the bottom that i think looks,really cool,but i don't have a specific idea for,that one yet it might just sort of be,sitting under the surgery table to be,where things are disposed of temporarily,we'll see,this is a,kind of rusty,bread pan,that,i'm gonna either use as is or maybe try,to gently hammer,it open a little bit more i don't know,for sure,yet but um i can either use this as like,a light reflector for over the surgery,table or maybe as uh some kind of,antenna to capture lightning,but i thought it was a really nice nice,shape and because it's already got some,rust i don't feel too bad about,repurposing,what would be a nice usable bread pan,um,these i got um i'm not totally sure what,their original purpose is but i'm either,going to incorporate them just as props,maybe painting the lids to make them,look older or i might,make a whole bunch of slime and fill,fill these with slime to give out to,trick-or-treaters um,there's some,smaller ones in there but most of them,are pretty big which might be a good,size for slime,i have no idea what their original use,for it was for was whether there's,specific samples they're supposed to,collect in these or what but i thought,that was a fun find,this next one i think is funny i always,see,these things at thrift stores the like i,feel like these were really popular in,the 90s,these like oil filled with like peppers,or,tomatoes or whatever and i always,thought who would buy those like,especially this one where the oil,level has dropped so you can sort of see,how,wrinkled the fruit in there is,anyway i always was like i don't i don't,understand why anyone would buy those,well apparently the person who buys,those is now me,um,because i think the,the shapes on them were so cool um i'm,probably gonna leave one of these,as is i'm debating emptying that one,debating empty in that one just because,it's gross not necessarily in a way i,want it to be but the shape of the,bottle was just so pretty,but i don't even know how easily,i can get all those peppers out of there,given the size of the neck of the bottle,but,we'll see i just thought the bottles,were really cool shapes,this one is another one i got because it,was kind of unique shape,i'm trying to slowly get a collection of,mostly recycled,bottles and stuff to use for my,apothecary section but,i thought,when i see a really unique shape like,these at the thrift store might as well,grab them when they're cheap enough,and then this double boiler,i thought had some really nice aged,patina on it,and so i thought well maybe this would,be back with the sort of like chemistry,um bottles and apothecary stuff for,heating up,and mixing various,ingredients um,so i thought that was kind of a fun,shape nice patina we'll see so that's,what i that's my thrift haul for,what i got yesterday,and we'll see what happens to some of,these things over the next few months

alright here's how I packed up my my,glassware for this party for this mad,scientist,that's I'm going to stop at Goodwill and,even Amazon quirks and Amazon,okay that's all hey I'm here to build my,mad scientist lab and I'm going to show,you how I'm going to put it together as,I go I had to dig it all out from the,party of 2015,those are 2017 so I might have trouble,trying to remember how it went but,that's what I'm gonna do now I built,this table here it's mostly two by fours,and pine boards really and I built that,and then I had this box hid this box,here already made for many years and it,wasn't being used so I took the lid off,and I put some of these boards on and,then I took the back off so I can access,it back here so the bags off I got,things set up and start get ready to put,together it's cool out let's get warm so,let's get started alright first I filled,my pan this is a pan a I don't know I,bought it at a garage sale or goodwill,but I filled it with water here so I'm,gonna put that down in here this is my,pump that goes inside of it so it gets,submerged down in there it's got suction,cups I'll put some more information,about that pump I got it at Lowe's and,then this is the returned and I have a,control valve here because it was,pumping so hard and fasted my water up,top wasn't looking as good so I can slow,it down or speed up and it still set the,way it was for the party so I'm just,gonna leave it that way,and I just set that down in the water,also and then I want to move that and,put it underneath here,I still have another hose I got a hook,on here I'll get to that later so I got,my LED lights they're already hooked up,then hooked up and I got an extension,cord coming in so now I'm gonna get my,when I get the metal piece so as I said,a little bit earlier I thought I'd,bought it any I had Lowe's and this,might have been the pump I bought at,Lowe's see how big it is very small pump,but it was a 30 to 45 gallons per hour,but as you could see the range of,pumping range was only a 1 foot 6 inches,so this pump was just not big enough to,be able to pump it all the way up,through my hoses up to that flask and,down through duct into the funnel so,that's when I went to Amazon and I was,able to get this pump this fountain pump,it's a 155 to 300 gallons per hour but,the the Yodle pumping range was 3 to 5,feet which was perfect and you see this,pump has an adjustable flow control,which I did not see until after I made,this bypass that you'll see later,see how I had it made,alright this thing is just I think it's,3/4 inch black pipe and I got these,fittings and then this is solid rod that,I've got like a TSC or some farm some,place that sells metal these things I,got at I think loves also I think,there's something to a whole piping Mart,you want to come up and get a close-up,of these I can't remember what these I,think these work on do holders maybe and,then I had some threaded rod and then I,got this piece I think if I didn't get,it at Lowe's and I bought it on Amazon,so I've got screws I'll screw it down to,this table,all I gotta do is find my folders,there's more pipes up tubing,this one went up here somehow no it came,down here that's where it was that this,is my return after the water pumps up,through then it will come down through,the funnel and back down through this,hole and back into my pan I have this,pipe on it as a weight to hold that,return hose in my pan,I got another hose right here and I got,a big ol cut here for this one to come,up through now this other end here it's,proper ptosis plastic this other end,here hooked over on this other fitting,that was sticking out I got like a,three-way a T so this hose hooked on,there,so I just leave this thing up and over,here we pit around when I came back up I,don't know I don't think that one held,it no because one of my glassware went,here let me see,not too tight or I'm a freaking then I,stuck that tube in there tiger,okay,so the water comes up this way goes,through my tube comes into here and it,fills a little bit and then it starts to,run out goes back into my funnel which,goes back to my main pan I'm just gonna,plug it in and see how it works right,now see if I get sprayed here oh yeah I,got a leak,all right so far that's good,okay when I first fired my pump up the,water was pumping so fast that it was,spilling out Oh past the funnel,so that's when I had to put this bypass,in and put a control valve on it that,way I could open that and some of the,water would flow that way back into the,pan I could keep a nice amount of water,flowing up into my flask and then drop,it into the funnel where it looked nice,this that bypasses a way that I could,let water go back in because that pump,was pumping you know it is probably a,pretty big pump for it but is what I,needed to go you know four feet up into,the air,put my eyeballs these were just plastic,eyeballs I got then I took cocking,and squirted on the back a drip did draw,a hole and I'm just so I could get maybe,two holes yeah there's another one so,that way water can get in air can get,out and some of them with sinking into,the water so I had these these eyeballs,in this looks like there's an LED light,right there so I must have had a a light,shining up through it yeah I think I had,a sink for now that'll be good turn the,LED lights on all I got to do is plug it,in it's there 12 volt this is 12 volt,and 300 milliamps so I'm gonna plug that,man now each one of these LEDs this is,blue that's green this is blue orange,red and this is red I believe so that,kind of tells me what color of food,coloring I got to put inside my water so,let me get my red I'll drip some red in,there some red food coloring,kind of looks more inches but it's red,there we go now let's see over here,think ahead this one sitting there that,one there,I think this one sitting back here I'm,trying to get as close as I can to the,way I had it that day all right,and then my eyes and my brain I got to,bring my brain not my brain sciences,that in there I got that at Goodwill for,sure because it's a if you want a drink,of the brain waters Canadian Club with a,little spout there so all right so now I,got some fake bugs here course plastic,bugs,I just had some of them in here in this,jar just to help at it all right so here,I put my cutoff fingers in this jar I,mean these things were packs of whatever,six or eight and they're cheap and my,finger sitting somewhere,all right and then I've had these I've,had these for many many years the old,fake hand that moves I have that over,here I'll place that down right there,and then the beating heart I will sit,there and go there looks like my finger,is ripping that do some repair work,that's a book sitting here yeah this one,is how to fix almost everything that was,just algebra some goggles may be needed,okay looks like I had a couple more I,got some more sitting back here,looks like drinking glasses then just to,add to us I have a second drain hold on,actually third brain this one I bought,at a store one time but it was hollow,and I'd put aluminum foil balled it up,and put it inside I set that one,underneath here just in case any drips,catches the dripping splashes from that,now I had another brain and I'll put,still be studios that believe it is he I,watched them build brains and I thought,I like that good idea so I made some of,them I'll put a link to his YouTube on,that so I'll put that brain in there for,a couple brains in there okay what else,it might miss it oh yes or the bottom,shelf here so for down here I had some,some laughs okay jars are those eat,masonary jars right,and what I did,I'll show you later I guess I'll get,back to that one here's hope shine just,printed them off the internet and put,them on labels and stuck them on some,jars that look kind of cool all right,I'm gonna fill these up with water okay,these are the test tubes I got them on,Amazon I do believe so this thing that,test tube holder I made that does have,some quarter-inch wood wasn't too hard,okay my next thing I'm gonna hook up,here it is my this is a fish pump it,flows air so this will go down here,all spring up so I got this that goes on,first pushes on there,I do have check valves,I believe that's what those are is to,keep unless it's a filter and then I got,a twin controller there and then I've,got another one and that must have,hooked one to this one because it's got,one out so this will go underneath and,then I'm gonna feed this they all there,is some other holes here so let's,probably what happened you can't get,that through there so I got a piece of,glass tube here broke from something,I'll use that because it's clear and it,gives it a little bit of weight to lay,down inside one of these jars,swing that around,let's go like this let's just drop it,into this one there we go and then this,one this one up here I have this piece,that goes in there goes the other way,the cork pushes in and then have another,tube go down through one of these holes,have it come over I got the hoses mixed,up pull this one out okay never mind,like I said I'm just trying to figure,out how I did this thinking I had,another one blowing bubbles I just think,it may be to the eyeballs let's just,shove it in there pension the whole shot,it happened our hose,and it comes up through another hole,I'm not gonna probably reach I think it,went down through this glass is what it,did Oh stuck in there maybe like so,there let me plug it in see how it works,all right they're all working that's,good,so now I'll plug my LED light back in a,sec for a little bit since this one has,two green LED light I'm gonna drop some,green food coloring in there no more,much green that one's blue so put some,blue in that one before it problem,anybody know what makes orange green and,yellow doesn't yell over there,Green and they're not sure of green and,orange or green and yellow makes orange,and they're made greening it I don't,know my collar mixture that way here's a,red one I got a red one back here LED,lights,I'll put food coloring in that like,that's it so okay oh I need green now,yes so I had green round through this,too so what I got to do is drop some,green food coloring in this pan back,here come around I'm gonna put some,green food coloring in this pan might as,well start it up so it mixes in,a little bit close to the edge here's a,little bit back all right here comes the,green so now this green never showed up,very good when the lights all went out,so what I did is I put two LED lights up,here one pointed down this way one,pointed down this way so I'm gonna,unplug everything and then hook hook,those two LED lights up hold for it Ali,do you like to come through that's a,little tight but here it comes I'll send,it up this way I'll just let it hang,there for now get the next one up,what's that you willing to show the LED,bulb on there I don't even see it oh,okay yes this is night one it came from,still be studios again he was showing me,how to wire showed me how to wire up LED,lights this is like some garden wire,easy to bend and this is like a garden,stake,it's like iluminage and coated but you,can cut that and then the LED light is,there's the wires that go - you can buy,them already with a resistor on them and,I just put them inside here and taped it,up and then inside is the LED light so,what I'm going to do is put these up,here I'll tape them up and then bend,them down to point at this wire so those,are the green LED lights right there,that actually line that's why it helps,light this tube up a little but at least,give it some light now we're here now,over here is my test tubes and what I,did is I took some of these I think,their bayonet type glow sticks now you,pull the tops off we don't need them but,they fit perfect down inside here so let,me break one up,way it glows thought of glow sticks are,pretty cool how bright that is there we,have it and I believe that is it that is,my mad scientist setup,I guess down here these I cut I cut this,one broke the glow sticks and then I cut,them and dump them in there you know you,gotta be careful it could be toxic I,don't know I never really read that made,those jars glow there when you could use,LED lights and that would make them glow,now it's very soothing in the collar,lights you almost go to sleep beside it,you know I think I had one LED green one,pointing at that thing now I think about,it I don't know it really doesn't look,all right there we are so I did point,that green LED over to this thing,because I think that's where I had it if,you look it's too dark on this side of,the table,bird wings kind of coming from the,return remember it doing that,so more LEDs you could run them from a,cross down this piece and over or,underneath and have the LEDs or have a,little box for them to sit on light,these things up with LED lights

welcome back fence and a weird kid,horse show I am your host a weird kid,today I'm gonna do a quick super easy,super inexpensive tutorial on how you,can make insulator coils for your mad,scientist contraption or your Halloween,prop just using dollar start cutting,super cheap they're the dollar to get a,whole pack of these things I'll show you,what you can do in the car so this is,the last time you're gonna see my face,work so let's get going,so yes you can buy these they're plastic,wine glasses you can buy them at the,dollar store if you need to do a price,check so he got the first part of your,wine glass pretty simple right we're,gonna set that right there just like,that,all the bases normally stick them in,there this is broke you're gonna want a,little stem so you're gonna take this,yeah when you buy them examine okay so,this is what you do you simply slide it,in well we're not gonna do that we're,gonna turn this into a contraption,something that you can use for Halloween,well I showed you guys when I did my,Frankenstein contraption I hadn't gotten,my hands on real insulating coils,insulators from the power come it,replaced a bunch of holes so I was able,to snag a bunch of a month and I know,that you're not gonna have access to,that so I'm gonna show you a real cheap,and inexpensive way of doing it the,other thing that I had suggested is,Walmart among many other places carries,these toilet plungers they look like,insulating insulators and that's another,option too but I'm going to show you,something here real super quick and easy,I'm gonna give you the material list and,everything all right so first thing we,need is super well you need the cops,when he's super blue,i'ma turn this thing upside down and,then the first thing I'm gonna do is,rather than putting it on the way it's,supposed to go I'm gonna put it on,upside down in order to do that just,need to put a little drop,super glue stick it right on there get,the first one started say it hold that,on there and get it I think I might use,something on the nerd another package at,$1 a package you just can't go wrong,it comes with six classes they have,different shapes and sizes this one here,has you can use either or if you wanna,do me I like this one,so that's what I'm gonna go watch there,alright so got a bunch of these things,together I'm gonna even go a bit more,put these all together you can blow them,if you want,I really don't think it's necessary and,then the last thing is when do okay so,that's the basic that's the basic thing,that you're gonna end up that can go on,your you want to make sure that it's in,place I'm gonna leave that in there I,know when we do props thinks they can go,wrong you know things can fall apart on,you,I can get mad just throw the stuff,around and get all pissed off and,everything but no you just you get okay,because you take a step back then walk,away from a project for a bit and then,come back to it jobs will have to be,patient correctly and then only come,back the sink should all be glued,together and dried and then we can move,on to the pill,all right we're back guys so this is one,of those cases where superglue is not a,fan of this type of plastic hold it on,there and let it cure really good for it,to bond so in this case I don't have any,might want to use two-part epoxy just,for the initial attachment okay so I've,got this glue it's curing I'm gonna put,it aside okay we're gonna work on and,I've already painted the ping-pong ball,flat black okay this is what's gonna go,on the very top this is the inductor,okay so we got the insulator,and then on top is conductor now on the,conductor you could have this is where,all the juice is this is where the,electricity is you can have an electrode,coming out of it or anything out coil,wires going to some kind of a device or,whatever but for me I just the first,thing I do is I paint it black and then,I take antique copper and then with that,I just I'm gonna do a dry brush on it's,not gonna go crazy,most most mad scientist contraption we,look at them in any kind of a movie,they're all like worn down and beat up,and I think that's been by design you,know it's to give it more scary ambience,you know to look more menacing,so I'm dry brushing this thing in copper,copper is a very conductive material and,that's why you'll see a lot of it and,you know like copper or the lead wires,on a Jacob's Ladder and it's used a lot,but speaking of contractions,mad-scientist contractions does anybody,know the origin of mad scientist control,we could go back to the silent film,metropolis there was quite a set up in,there as far as set design a lot of high,voltage,but there is one individual that should,be a household name but is it so I'm,here to educate you if you watch the,original Frankenstein with Boris Karloff,and you look in the laboratory where the,creation was brought to life it's alive,its alive look at all the bombs and,high-voltage machinery that's in that,room that's all because of one man this,man's name was Kenneth strick fat and,test Kenneth strick Patton got his start,as amusement park electrician turned mad,scientist he used to build all these,high voltage toys if he will these,Jacobs ladders and smart gaps and Tesla,coils and they were all used all of his,devices were used in the original,Frankenstein sadly the man was never,credited for it I don't agree with that,at all,but he wasn't credit important because,after that he was asked to take part in,tremendous amount of sci-fi film,you can see his contraptions and just,about everything so I suggest to educate,yourself on this man because let's face,it when you were a kid I know when I was,a kid and if I was to draw a mad,scientist laboratory the props and,scenery and devices that I were drawn,were tennis mcfadden influence that's,that's where that came from okay so I've,taken my ping pong balls and I've,painted it black first and then I went,ahead and try brushed it in copper so,now it looks like a little copper block,and I think we're dry enough here so I'm,gonna go ahead and attach the remaining,coil okay so now it's starting to look,like something right this is gonna go on,top and there you have the makings of a,mad scientist insulator coil with a,condenser on it but we're gonna go step,further we're gonna paint this thing I'm,all gonna make it look more,Maria if you will so I'll take you over,here we're gonna go ahead and pick this,all right so we got this thing all ready,to go I got my me I like to use the,rust-oleum it's a 2 x ultra cover paint,and primer and I as I said I went with a,satin finish and the first thing I want,to do is paint the underside of these,ribs those gonna be the hardest to get,at go ahead and dust them slowly turning,this thing as I go along even coverage,getting up there real good,sure there's nothing left no clear,plastic now I say dusting just because,you know really if you don't have much,experience with spray paint you don't,want to get on there and stay in one,spot you want to dust it and the reason,that is is because if you stick a can of,paint and,you know boss that you're gonna have,some drips and that's not gonna you,don't want that you want nice clean,coding so it's better to dust it as I,say and then if you need to come back,and repaint it again out or you can all,right so all right so I got the first,part painted I must let it dry cause I,need to be able to handle that to get,the rest of it so I'm gonna go ahead and,stop and then we'll come back and finish,that part okay it's dry enough well I,can hold this end of it so I'm just go,ahead and wash the rest of it,Dustin Dustin as I say Dustin even coats,those look too heavy just want to get,even coat,and there we have it we're gonna let,this dry and then we're gonna go ahead,and attach our ball so we got it all,painted this table is crooked so it,might look crooked but I sure you it's,not the last thing that we're gonna need,to do is just simply glue our ping-pong,ball on the top stick it right on top,and there you go guys,there's your tennis trick patent,inspired insulator with condensing,condenser on the end of it now that you,can do two but you have to be really,careful with this type of bicycle it,cracks really easy is once you get it,mounted on whatever it is that you're,using it for me I like to build two of,these and put them in between something,a focal point like maybe it's a brain in,a jar something a plasma ball or,something electrical I like to put one,on each side of it and then do it the,same way but you could drill a little,hole in here and then run me I like to,use,their cord that you can buy at Walmart,it looks like wires and you can paint,whatever color you want that way you can,see wires coming out of it they go into,the machine or whatever it is that,you're doing but there you have it it's,super easy and it'll look real good
