How to decorate a witch foam head.
you, sorry i'm so close to the camera, okay just trying to find myself hello, hello, sorry i'm so close i had to change it to,um so you could see me work on this head,i'm so sorry i'm so close and,i'm not finding myself, okay i'm so sorry i'm so close to the, camera okay there i am all right, okay hi lisa,hi alicia asia, you're joining all the way down there at,the beach and you're joined, nice, well i've got a different angle tonight, and i'll back up a little bit,um because uh,thank you cheryl you're so awesome, because we're going to be decorating her, tonight,so i'm going to bring you back around, behind me,you and addie are watching from your, beach campsite, nice thanks asia you're awesome,so i am gonna move you and i'm gonna, zoom in on her instead of me so you, don't have to see me so much,so let me just zoom in here,so you don't have to see just,me,all right i've got some funky things, going on with my,nevo thing,so hopefully so i'm going to move you a,little bit so you're kind of more over,my,shoulder here sorry i don't mean to make, you sick,hi amy oh thank you so much,i appreciate that so very very much, tonight we're going to be decorating, this gal,and i really don't have an idea of like, what i'm going to do,so i just kind of grabbed a bunch of,stuff, but i painted her just this last week, and she started off,as just one of these styrofoam heads and,you can get these styrofoam heads at,hobby lobby,or you can get them online i got mine at,hobby lobby, and all you do is you coat it with like, modge podge or,white elmer's glue or a clear elmer's,glue,if you want it to crackle a little bit,use the clear,so we started off like this then we got,to like this, and the only thing that i did today was,i kind of bedazzled her a little bit can,you see the,the bedazzles on there it's kind of hard,to see,but anyway so i bedazzled her a little, bit, and so i have this hat,i thought this hat would be so fun to,put on her,it came with like the this um,thing that goes on you know because it,goes on your head,so i'm just actually going to take that, off, just use my wire cutters to cut through, that, and it'll come off it wouldn't slide out, because they glued it really well,so i'll just take off this side, and this side all right, then i drilled a hole into the top of,this hat, with i've got a little drill in here so,i,drilled it through the band because that, was like a really sturdy, hard plastic and then i just uh,hot glued this stick in there,so we're going to take that and i'm,going to make it just a little bit, shorter,hi nikki you're new welcome,i'm glad you joined us,we're going to be putting this and,you got to make sure it's going to be oh,let me,sorry you got to make sure, you get one shot at this and that's it,so,we need to make sure it's placed right, where we want,it so i'm just going to hang on to that, spot,i'm going to dip into the glue, and i want it at an angle a little bit, then i'm just going to push it down in,the head, pushing all the way down and it's pretty, hard to push, pretty hard to push, the hat hi linda, the hat i got at,michaels last year last fall um,it was on clearance and it was in their,um their aisle section with the, kind of like costume stuff um,but so,i might end up putting some glue on her, head, because i want that hat to come down a,little bit more,so i'm just grabbing some glue, with my toothpick here i'm so weird i,use a toothpick, but it works for me,okay so i'm going to hold it down like, this, and hopefully it will stay hopefully,it'll stay, all right you just have to hold it for a,few seconds,i don't have my glue set on like real, high,so it shouldn't take too long and i,think we're going to be putting some,um i think we might do like this little, skull on there and stuff,we'll decorate the hat a little bit and, then we're going to put um,kind of like we're going to give her, like a,um kind of a short hairdo, all right what do you think do you like, that,is it cute down there,it's making her a little lopsided i,might have to put her on,i might have to put her on something, here,oh no okay,hi tracy hey linda, thank you,so we'll see how she turns out i'm,having a hard time trying to keep her, steady and my thing just broke off so,i'm going to give her kind of a short, haircut i think kind of like a curly, afroy kind of haircut with these, flowers here and then i'm thinking, that we'll put some stringy bits kind of,out so i'm just going to cut these and, these flowers,i also got at um michael's,last fall and they were just in the, halloween section, and so i have like orange and purple, and green and i think we'll just, encompass kind of,all of those colors and,see how she looks,so i want to put in some hair first, before i start building,um the hat,so i really want to do like a bow on the, side here and have some of it come down, and then some of it hang,i think on this side and i'm going to,use that harlequin, ribbon there,so i guess you kind of have to have like,a design in mind, you know when you start this hey laura, thanks for popping in hey jody,hi susie,so we are just going to,start plopping, this hair is what i'm going to call it,hair in here and there and everywhere,i'm just going to kind of,kind of mix it up a little bit i'm going,to start off with orange over here, and then i was trying to decide if i,wanted to um,and all this is really easy to push in,i think the hardest part about, decorating her,is um actually having, her not tip over and normally,i put her in here but my thing just fell, off so i don't know if i can put her,let me see if i can do it here, okay hey that works, and we'll just shove her in there nice, she's not gonna fall over now, yeah problem solving all right,so we're just gonna go through i have no,idea how she's gonna turn out,no idea oh you love her thank you laura, thank you so much hey darlene, welcome,so and you don't have to make the stims, too long,i'm probably cutting them a little bit, long i'll cut them a little bit shorter,hi willameen,i'm by myself tonight so i hope to get, everybody i am going to,cut these a little bit shorter they, really don't need to be so long, because we are using some hot glue, now i don't want her to look like, chiquita banana,i just had that envisioned pop into my,head,so do not look like chiquita bananas,my daughter in guam i don't think she's,on here, but my daughter in guam has been like, going out and finding wild bananas and,and uh,mangoes and all this, tropical fruit just growing along the, roadways and stuff and she's been, cutting it down, getting um what did she get the other, day she got coconuts, and uh,she's just she's having a ball she's,just having a ball out there all right, and we're just gonna we're going to only,we're only going to do about this far, back okay um,so just one more on this side,we'll do a green, okay, okay so that's this side,so we will add a little on the other, side,oh no worries suzanne thanks for, stopping in,we haven't got very far, okay so we're just gonna do some on this, side, and then we're gonna put in some long, bits that come out,i hope everybody's having a good friday, thank goodness it's friday right,i've been looking forward to friday all, week, except this morning i had to mow,hi valerie, and mowing at my house is not like, mowing,i've got an orchard to mow we've got, five acres so i end up mowing about an,acre and a half,i think, and it was hot so i got up early early, and started mowing,so i could try to get it done before i,was sweating my tail off,and i'm just pushing them all the way to,meet up to her skin, and i'm putting them probably you know, two inches apart,i'm just alternating the colors, thank you susan suzanne oh i sent you a,message i kept doing that last time to,suzanne,oh thanks willameen thank you i had to,put it a little bit different angle and,so,you get the wall of flowers,i guess you can see the wall of ribbon, too,my husband and i made that stand to put,the flowers in,i got sick and tired of uh always, getting in totes to get my flowers and, stuff out,you know and then i'd forget what, flowers i had and,so i'd be buying double triple quadruple,of what i had so it really makes the, difference if you can see what you have, that way you can,not buy triple and quadruple of what, you've got, okay,oh we got glue everywhere, all right so the back,is gonna stay like this we will run a,um drip and glue everywhere,we will run a um,kind of like a 22 gate or an 18 gauge,um thing through her head to fasten her, into the wreath or the rail whichever we,end up making, okay so she's kind of got her short due,and so i got this um,i usually don't buy this kind but,so this is um tubing and i bought this, also at michael's last fall,so i've got a few colors here,hi elaine welcome,so all i'm going to do,is i did not realize that would all be,like, fastened together, yeah isn't it nice when you can get, things up where you can see it,i think you'll use your products more, rather than, always buying products because you think, you don't have them,i'm always like oh i think i have, something like that somewhere and then i,run out of time,so i'm going to just take these, and i just want to have some of these, like come out and kind of go crazy and, everywhere,so i'm going to like combine these, colors, all together,oh my gosh what a mess,it's okay well, just do that like that, all right so what i have,i don't know if a lot of you are, florists or or deal a lot with um,you know artificial flowers or anything, but i have this, pick here pick machine and i'm just, going to lay them in here, and then make a pick,it just does this, and then i'm just going to take this, pick, dip it in my hot glue a little bit,and then i'm just going to shove it into, the foam, head here, and we're just going to kind of do that, everywhere in that crazy, can you see it,we'll see if it turns out anyway right,so i painted her last week,we uh um,one of the gals in my um,group on,laura jean's wreath room actually one of,the lofteds on her um she's got a,private group,um she would she painted one and made, one and,um it really inspired me to want to do,one too it was so,cute hers turned out really good too,and actually it's really like soothing, like it's not stressful to,paint that at all,the purple one didn't take it was, actually just kind of fun,do i have any painters in the house, any painters out there with some skills,so i'm going to tell you why i covered, her left eye, because i couldn't make them the same,i could not make them the same i am i'm,not a painter, you know i'm i try to paint, but i just don't have that jean,i guess i could get better at it,i did paint her face yes hey kay,you want a tour of the craft room, kind of a mess sure i can give you a,tour of the craft room, hey if our craft rooms aren't messy then,we're not creating right, okay, these little things want to keep popping,up,and i'm not measuring i'm just kind of,like cutting them at whatever, awesome i think it's looking cute what,do you think, valerie you're not a painter either,bug-eyed i'm gonna try a frankenstein, this week, actually i'm making the queen of hearts, and a frankenstein this week, yeah i have a hard time doing my own, makeup,i have a real hard time doing my own, makeup, boy this stuff is kind of a it's a,little bit more like spirally out of,control, than the i usually use kind of like a,jute,um,a jute tubing,i'll give you a tour the,of the craft room here in just a minute, that be okay queen of hearts i'm gonna,do an alice in wonderland,i inspired you laura oh,that is awesome you inspire me all the, time, those of you don't know laura laura jean, there of laura jean's wreath room, she is my design coach, and i am part of her um group,lj's design loft right am i saying i,always get nervous, when i'm on here so i always forget like, technical like everybody's stuff, mardi gras yeah definitely, who has one of these pic machines man, these things save me,all right i think we'll just do three of,these on each, and i've got a huge mess on the floor, okay so i'm going to just, put some glue on these babies, and put them in over here,oh and somebody suggested on um,crafty creators crafty creators and more,um i posted a picture of the last one, that i did oh sorry, and uh she suggested that i do a medusa,i thought ooh that would be fun i'd have,to find some snakes, she's really rather resilient you can, push on her really hard and everything,um she's not going to come apart,hi tracy i actually picked it up,at hobby lobby a couple of years ago i'm,sure they still have them,um,use your 40 off coupon it's kind of,pricey,i don't remember how much it was but, definitely, use your coupon okay,oh you do they save so much time,so much time oh,okay we may end up cutting that one off,but that's her so far,i've got three more flowers here we may,use those,so what i want to do before i get too, carried away with some more flowers and, stuff,is i want to do just a little bow and, then have it come here, and then kind of hang down so i'm,probably just going to do the bow,in my hand so,you just make your tail however long you, think you're going to need your tail, squeeze it together and then make a loop, let me zoom back out whoa, boy now you guys can see the craft room, kind of crazy,so i think i want my loops just about, that big so you just twist,in the middle just like you do on the um,easy bow maker, make your other loop about the same size, and you just kind of you know, wing it give a twist so that the up,the pretty side is up and we're gonna, make, this loop the same size as that one, twist i just used acrylic paint nikki hi,nikki, porter texas hi kim welcome,um just at hobby lobby you know those, paints down that aisle, they're all it's um they got like,a few different kinds folk something, americana, things like that it's just acrylic paint,um,yeah do not spray paint,do not spray paint the foam,it'll melt it,at least i watched videos online and, that's what was happening to other, people who sprayed their stuff so i,sealed it with, modge podge and i just brushed it on,with like a big brush it didn't take, very long it wasn't,like it was a big pain or anything like, that,so i at first um,i uh and i'm just running wire through,my fingers here, and pulling tightly and then i'm gonna, turn the bow,a few times and i'm holding that wire so,that it screws into the bow, tightening as it goes okay,i actually couldn't find any skin tones, that i liked, like they were either too dark or too, light, and so i just blended like a teddy bear, brown with a buff, and a little bit darker brown to get, kind of what i wanted, okay so,what i want to do is i want to put this, bow, kind of here and have it come down this, side,so i'm going to push all that forward so,that i can, glue this on the hat,and yes i'm using a toothpick,so i'm just getting a goodly amount on,the back, and i'll have to hold this for a second,so then i'll read your comments here, all right i'm just gonna hold that on,there, until it dries so,i love that ribbon too well i mean oh,it's so nice,um to match, sudanese skin oh beautiful that would be,a beautiful color,i'm not sure what colors you'd want to,blend, maybe the two colors i told you and then, some espresso, just a like a little bit of espresso in,there that would be,that would be really nice, sorry we're waiting for glue to dry, cool all right, okay oh i did not wait long enough, dang gummit sorry y'all i got in too big,of a hurry, dang it,okay i probably should have left the, wire on and, wrapped the wire around it,okay here we go again i'll have to talk, for a minute, all right we'll just have to talk, because we don't want that coming off, what do you think so far,are you liking her is she cool, going to be like a witchy you know kind,of witchy lady, witchy woman is there a song a witchy, woman,i have i bought some boas the other day,at,um at hobby lobby they were on sale,so i bought all these boas i bought like,i don't know six or,seven different colors of boas so i,think we're going to use some, feather boa on her too,i know harlequin ribbon is very popular,i think it's going to be popular all, through the holidays so those of us,wreath that are wreath makers and stuff,i think probably the black and white, and even the red and white, harlequin is so pretty, looking at some different ornaments, online and stuff and oh my gosh,we got some really pretty ones problem,is a lot of them are glass,i made a uh a uh beach,um there we go i think that'll stay,if it doesn't stay this time i'll add uh,wire and actually wire it in,but i made a uh a beach one,and i used glass ornaments on that and, turned out really beautiful i just had,to tell people be so careful,be so so careful, all right so i know i want a skull, maybe i need to put the skull here huh, this is the hard part with creating with, people watching man so i go through a,lot of stuff before i actually decide, what i want to do,oh i definitely like that, and i have so much different kinds of,stuff, and maybe we should do one of these dark, skulls instead of a white one let's see,you love it hi debbie hi karen, you love her yay, awesome this one is going a little crazy,it's like sticking straight out,but i think i'm going to put that in,there, wait a minute,i'll let y'all help me what do you think,oh hi mom, yeah doing glass valerie i mean it's,it's pretty but you do have to take, extra precautions and, stuff with it so i'm gonna let you guys, help me so what do you think do you want, the, black and white pumpkin in the bow,or did you like the orange one in the, bow, what do you think,i think we're going to put that skull, over there on that side, all right i'm all alone again tonight, nobody's home,it's just me i'm surprised my uh,well i've got my dogs locked up so they, can't bother me,but,oh some people say orange orange orange, orange, black and white,i think the oranges have it,so i'm gonna put orange in there how, about that, let you all help me design it tonight,i didn't quite do my tails as long as i,wanted because i did want to like,i can always go back through and add, longer tails i guess if i wanted, you think nikki and uh hi nikki hi rose, hey pamela like the orange,oh yeah we named uh we named the uh,scarecrow so we should name her too,huh what do you want to name her,so the scarecrow lady was sally because, that was off of,the nightmare before christmas,so what do you think her name should be,any ideas,a one and a half inch ribbon and curl it,i do have one and a half inch ribbon, and it looks like my one and a half inch, ribbon i have blueberry pink and white, and nothing that would match her, okay,i think let me see, hayley quinn call her haley quinn, cruella harley harlequin,oh i love it i love it i love it i love,it,harley harlequin, maybe we should name her harley, harlequin i kind of like that one,yes i hello hello denise we are using,a um,a foam head that started off, looking like this and i just got it at,hobby lobby, and that's what she started off as,you know i want that over there, and you know what i'm going to have to,do to get it there i think,i'm going to have to drill a hole in,there,in the hat, okay guys we're going to conduct, surgery here we're gonna drill a hole in,her head, these are all the things you don't see, that design, that designers do when you're not, looking, let me see here i want to put it right, here, just let me see if it'll get through, this fabric sometimes it doesn't go,through the fabric very easily, sorry about the noise oh it did, nice okay more than one way to skin a,cat right,so i do want this to go in here, definitely very unorthodox right, drilling holes and hats and whatnot,i might have to get out the bigger one, yep, sorry guys,oh my gosh,we all have the drills and the tools, right, just got to be careful with fabric, because it always wraps around fabric,so you have to be careful with fabric,or you'll twist it up on it and that, won't come out, cool all right,so i use a glue pot most the time, instead of a glue gun,i kind of got tired of my glue gun i i,get it out once in a while but for the, most part, all right now i gotta get it into her, head,so hold on lady, gotta move the flower, here has, that's funny valerie,my husband doesn't know half the time,he does not know, that's not entirely true i'm a pretty, good little carpenter,i do hurt myself all the time though, like you say, okay so that'll make an interesting look,on the side when you're looking at her, from the side i think adding that stripe,in there, what are you thinking y'all,i do have some of these i don't i don't,think i'm going to use them though,i do think that i do want to use some, feathers, add the madam so madame, harley harlequin,is that what y'all think, all right so i'm going to,cut this, and put it on a pick,oh feathers are going to be everywhere,in here,oh and then feathers and hot glue i have,a daughter, who i swear every, halloween she wants to be a bird of some, sort,a couple of years ago we made her,oh what do you think of that a couple of,years ago we made her an owl,and then then she was a,like a phoenix or something like that it,was a big long, blue one hundreds, hundreds of feathers hundreds and, hundreds of feathers, all over hot gluing them, sewing them in was awful, looked dang good though looked really, good, boy that changed it didn't it,the owl was your favorite alicia yeah, yeah that l one was pretty cool, okay guys so what do you think,so we will have to fluff this up,a little bit so when you look at her, from this side when she's in the wreath,or on the rail,it's like this you know into the wreath,or the rail, for sure, what do you think do you like her here, let me zoom in,on her, what do you think,do we like her,i think it really gave her some, personality, and then what once she's i don't want to,make her too busy, because she's going to be sitting in a,wreath or on a rail, and there's gonna be busyness behind her, too, she looks more like a fortune teller, with the boa,huh yeah i can see that,i did have a couple of these eek signs, that i'm gonna put either in the ink, let's see,you guys like it oh good you think she's,more of a,fortune teller huh,i might have just cut that too short, but i just don't know if you'll be able,to read this sign very, well read the eek very well,i did not make the hat i wish, that i did so who makes the um,who is it cara or is it uh,michelle that makes the hats,i'm gonna have to watch her tutorial i,would love to make, hats so,i would love to make hats, hey virginia army hey sheila from, virginia welcome, but i did not make the hat i did not, make the hat,so i do have these thingies that i was, going to put in,too that i thought would be cool, but you know i'll always change it up a,little bit and then i'll show you, pictures probably tomorrow, kind of like the glitter in there,i may add some of those tomorrow but uh,i think for the most part i'm gonna keep, her like this, and then i don't know let's see how long, have i been on,don't want to take up too much of your, time tonight, michelle michelle makes the hats, michelle, from mmb creations, she has an etsy page and she makes hats, and she's got some on there for sale,i'm sure there's a lot of other people, that make them too but, they look you know like you could do it,time consuming but um yeah, anyway what do you think,so you don't like her with the do you, like her with the bow or not,i think once she's in something it'll,look better because i'm thinking about, using,um let's see,in the wreath i'm probably going to use,i'm going to make ruffles with these, and i'm probably going to use, silver as my base so this will all be in,a wreath or a rail now i'm going to let,you guys decide,a wreath or a rail so what do you think, you love the boho valerie oh good,so um on wednesday,we can finish her on wednesday and um,i'll do either a rail or a wreath, whichever, you guys prefer thanks wilhelmine, thank you,and i'll i'll give you a i mean my craft, room is about this big so there's not a,lot of,uh a lot of things to see, really i can,let me see if i can,let me see,i don't even i don't think i can take it,off this thing,so my craft room starts over here, there's the big old light, and then i have a uh,let's see the lighting's gonna change if,i try to do this, can you see over there, wednesday will be at 5 00 p.m,sorry i had to disconnect this because,i'm plugged in,but anyway so i'll show y'all,my craft room,so this is like my walk behind, area i guess and i've got i've got crap, everywhere hanging from, there these are all the open ribbon, everything over here is not open, and styrofoam stuff everywhere, and so i usually have my thing on a,tripod there,my wall oh flowers and my,shelves on the outside and stuff, and this is just one room,i won't show you the others,i have a few rooms that have things in,them and,um and a three-car garage, that there's no car parked in the,three-car garage,so,you know but you got to have stuff for, every season,so and then you got to have storage for, your, wreaths and stuff and after i finish a,wreath,it's usually immediately boxed up,and then put into storage until someone, buys it,or until i go to a craft show so my,wreaths are boxed up as soon as they're,done to keep them clean and, neat and organized and stuff,so anyway that's my room,hi nikki five o'clock wednesday, five o'clock wednesday, any other questions, thanks y'all and if you wouldn't mind, sharing and liking my page,i would sure appreciate it and tonight,it was kind of a quick night,i thought maybe i would do the wreath, but i'm i'm not going to do that tonight,i'm going to save it for wednesday,so and then this week i'm going to be,painting, the queen of hearts for a alice in,wonderland wreath, and a frankenstein and we'll see how, they turn out,if the eyes the eyes and the eyebrows, get you because i'm like a stickler for, eyebrows, and trying to do them the same is,super hard so we'll see,oh no you can totally steal my ideas, yeah you can totally steal my ideas i'll,show you, something that's super cool hold on let,me,see if it'll go up here,so i don't know if can you see that far, away,so inside here, are tubes and since i live on a farm, they're irrigation tubes, can you see that, probably not anyway so we just built a,box, and we filled it with those tubes, and that's what keeps all the flowers in,there and separated and stuff,so works great works great,i'm kind of nervous hi ann i'm kind of,nervous to do,um a painting live but i could do that,if you guys would be interested, there's eyebrow stencils, what at the beauty supply store, wow hi barbara,i didn't know that i'm gonna have to,check that out because then i could do,the eyebrows the same, yes totally could do the eyebrows the, same, okay all right well i will do,maybe tuesday or something i'll try to,go on and paint,we'll see how that turns out i'm nervous, because i'm not a painter y'all so it,may not turn out right,at all,so i'll let you know i'll post it um,and see i try to be organized but when,i'm creating and stuff, things fly all over all over the paint, all over the floor, and everything so,but you have to stay somewhat organized,or you don't know what you have, and i just ordered a little bit,a lot i ordered a lot of stuff so it's,coming in the mail,so but anyway,i'm gonna look those up um i,eyebrow stencils i didn't know they did, such a thing, didn't know they did that um,i couldn't even do my own anymore so i'm,a redhead, and i don't really have eyebrows that, you can see,so i had mine done, there is a gal here in greeley who,um does it and they're not tattooed well,it's kind of tattooed but they're um,bladed anyway so she did them, that's why they look the same otherwise,i couldn't do it,all right so anyway y'all i'm gonna shut,up so y'all can get to your friday night, have a glass of weird, you know glass of beer glass of wine, soda, some water enjoy your evening have a,great, week, and uh you all take care and,yes it's called microblading yes, yes,oh i didn't know that, well i mean you should come to greeley, and have it done i tell you what the gal, that has done mine,my daughters tons of people people come, from all over the country to see her,if you message me i'll let you know who,she is so,but anyway y'all be safe take care, and i'll see you next time

time to get ahead of the game this, tutorial requires yeah.well beginner to,intermediate skills takes about one to,one and a half hour to prep and then you,are done because there is no application, the money went into that mannequin head,we used alcohol activated colors you can,go with water colors as well a nice, little break from all the regular, makeups here let's create this prop head, first off we need to cover this, styrofoam mannequin head with some glue, this is basic hobby glue you can also, use a varnish this will make the surface,a lot easier to paint and that styrofoam, won't start to crack up we will be using, alcohol activated colors but of course, you can use watercolors as well if,that's what you got the whole concept is,about flicking that paint on and, different layers and we begin with this, blue tone here because after all it's a,dead look we're going for so we need, nice blue base and one layer doesn't,look like much so we continue with a,little bit of purple mix that in there, and by flicking it on we get a much more, natural color spread instead of it,looking all painted on so by layering, these different colors we are going, closer to the skin tone we are aiming, for you go with a color that suits you,as the layers build up we are starting,to get a little bit of feel for that, dead look and of course if you are using,water-based colors here a lot of water, and a little color that's the trick then,we head on to creating small little, blood vessels here and again you see, that the,are not super saturated we go in gentle, gentle steps now go back over it with a,brush to make sure things look natural, and as you may know YouTube keeps, flagging our content as not advertiser, friendly which means we are not making, money on the videos since this is,becoming a real problem I'm just gonna, throw in a poll here would you pay a two,to three dollar monthly subscription fee,to get access to our videos and what, kind of extra goodies would you like as,a subscriber next up we switch to a red, tone we want to make that wound look, real nasty down there at the severed, part of our neck then to create a little, more character to that face we go in,with a deeper Brown to do some shading, and contouring using the same principle, clicking that paint on bringing out the, cheekbones and jawline and we also go in,there just under the brow to add a,little bit of shade there, for the lips we need a little more, definition and intensity so we go in and, create a little shape with a tipple, brush and then keep on flicking and for, that detailing we're using the tip of a,small brush and small small small little, additions they're going over the lips, without making it look too painted on,just tiny little touches there and work, your way around the mouth create those, little shaded areas from the nostrils, and soon enough this will start looking, really awesome of course this is a super, simple prop meant to be seen on a,distance so it will work really well in,a garden or maybe when someone opens up,a refrigerator real fast and just that, like we did in the intro oh hey why, don't you put it in a big jar that's,gonna look nasty pretty much the same, process here to give the eyes some more, definition and dead look going in with a,tip of the brush first and then flick on,additional paint, and of course to know where to put all, these little tiny shades and shadows you,can always look at yourself in the, mirror and work from there,I stipple on tiny amounts of paint on my,face in Swedish is your dutifully Utley,to ferry me down sick,or our dad look lips we go with a deep, purple along with a red tone, and to make our lips sit well and merge, into that face we go over it again with, that light beige tone we selected for,the skin right there so we get another, layer on top of that starting to look, like some sort of human being and to,make sure it doesn't look like one big,lip we go in and add a little bit of,shade there with a deep red color right, between those lips since the back of the, head is gonna be covered with hair we,just need to add a little bit of paint, here we are using a hair spray color, want to be that classic sexy dead nurse,or a she-devil at the Halloween party go,check all our amazing tutorials for this,Halloween all right back at that table, now with a glue gun,we are gonna attach all hair extensions,to build a nice hairdo for this severed, head of course any kind of glue will be,just as perfect and if you want you can,put a full wig on this head not a,problem, with that hair in place time to bring, out that tiny brush and go for some, detailing namely the brows painting on,those strands of hair one by one and the, doll doesn't really look dead enough so,we go back in there with a tiny amount,of blue and red and the inner corner of,the eye there adding to that shading and, that nastiness and we also use that red, tone to go all the way under that eyelid, creating the lower waterline and make, sure those eyes melt and emerge whether, the face really well we go in and flick, another layer of that red tone right on,there because this girl apparently was, really abused before her head got, chopped off so there's no shading using, the red there on the nostrils then we,find ourselves a nice pair of falsies, and add those as well because after all, gotta have epic lashes even if you're,dead the shout gives you a loss as,effects this guy is creating a lot of,different makeups using only paint using,3d as effects experimenting a lot so go,check this out,now time for that severed part of the, severed head so we need to crack off, that neck piece using a pair of scissors, making it look really nice and chopped, off then have to have been a really dull, tool to make marks like that we give the, edge a nice coat of red hair spray color, along with black at the very base there, for that aged blood effect also adding a,little bit of that red and black and the, hair there because it seems this lady, has gotten hit in the head going over, the edges with this thick almost black, blood it's actually old fake blood that, has turned out like this you can always, use syrup to make it a little blood, there in the head as well, where we assume she has gotten hit and,if you like you can carve out a piece of,that styrofoam and make a real deep hole, with some brains in it as well that, would be awesome and we go for that thin, runny blood much lighter in tone and, spray that on go in with a little,Vaseline there on the lips to make them, look a little bit gooey and shiny throw,on a dash of blood where you see fit, this girl is not feeling very well so,she's got it all over the place, and there you go your severed head is,ready you can put it in a trash bin in,the neighborhood and see how people, react when they throw stuff or you can, just put it in a refrigerator or in your, garden we think of clean I'm pretty cool, actually a nice little prop to spice up,that Halloween party and we've got a new, tutorial for you come and ride up,tomorrow on Sunday and as always if you, recreate our stuff or make your own, amazing makeups tag us on Instagram you, might get that shout out,see you soon love you bye

How to prepare a Styrofoam head for multiple uses.
How to prepare a Styrofoam head for multiple uses.
hello and welcome to another video from,Starks warehouse in this video I'm gonna,be showing you how to prep a foam head, for multiple uses so as you can see, here's her cheap Styrofoam head that,I've just got from a local arts and, crafts store complete these up first a,few dollars or a few pounds now another,my cheap but we're going to try and get,the most users as we can from it you can,see all arises too soft just showing the, texture what's on the foam and head, itself so we're gonna try and seal this, let's give it a smoother more durable, shell so I want to start off by using, white glue or PVA glue depending on,where you from you might notice Elmer's,glue also and we're going to brush this, all over the entirety of the head just,to give this a nice shell on the outside, now that I've given that a generous coat,I'm just going to show you the, difference from the back of the film, head which is not coated yet to the, front of the foam head and as you can,see just from this right here the glue, has given it such a smooth texture just, from a nice generous coat on there so,I'm going to go ahead and coat the back, side as well so we get it all smooth now, just before I start putting glue on the, back of the head as well I just want to,point out here as you see in just a,second,on the back of the foam head I had a,little silly moment and before actually, using the glue I actually sprayed spray, paint onto the back of the head just try,and smooth it off that way but with, styrofoam I totally forgot that aerosols,do eat into styrofoam which is why it,the back of the head has like a moon, crater ish texture to it so this little, tidbit for you is to not use spray cans, directly onto this kind of film okay so,now that I have a nice layer of PVA glue,on the film hair then it's dried I'm,going to go ahead and start layering, some tissue paper or toilet paper, straight onto the foam head and coating, that with some more glue this will help, give the film head a nice hard shell and, make it a little bit more durable for, multiple uses, and now that the tissue paper and glue, has set and given the film ahead a nice, crisp edge more durable shell I can go,ahead and actually spray paint the outer, shell now because now that has a tissue, paper and the PVA barrier in between the, film will not melt as it did before so,I'm going to go with a clear coat here, and just give it a spray over just to,add a little bit more protection, now as with any time using aerosols you, want to make sure your outside and a,well-ventilated area and also using a,respirator you can go ahead and spray, the aerosol can on there to give it a,nice few coats and obviously leave it to,dry and once you're done with this, you're pretty much done and you can go,ahead and use the foam head so I want to,thank you guys for watching this latest, video again and please like and, subscribe and I will see you soon

How to make a Zombie Prop using a Styrofoam head
How to make a Zombie Prop using a Styrofoam head
hey guys today we're gonna be making a,zombie head prop here's a list of things, that you're going to need one thing I,forgot to add to that list is either a,broom handle or a piece of PVC I'll show, you where you need it first thing you, need is a styrofoam head also you're,gonna need some black spray-paint and, here's where you're gonna need that, piece of PVC what you do if that PVC is,is you shove it up in the hole, underneath the styrofoam head which, makes it easier to work with you can, also use a broom handle if you need one, also you're going to need to get your, hands on the Dremel I know that's not a,dremel but hey I'm more it's the closest, thing that you get to one gets the job, done so let's get started right now, first thing you want to do is establish, where you gonna be putting your holes in,there we're going to two ear holes a,nose both eye-sockets the mouth and,we're going to drill a hole up,underneath the chin after that we're,going to be putting some wounds on the, skull we'll get to that in a minute, first thing I like to do is I'd like to,establish where my eye sockets are gonna,be I kind of put the Dremel on a low, setting and I just trace a circle around, the areas where I know that my eyes are, going to go keep in mind that when you,put black spray paint on there you're,going to melt the styrofoam the, styrofoam has a chemical agent that, reacts to the styrofoam agent I'm trying,to sound all scientific I really don't,know what the hell's going on,but spray paint will melt styrofoam so,once you get both of your eyes done you, kind of want to establish where you, gonna put your nose I like to leave a,little bit of a ridge down by the, nostrils because when it melts it gives,it a really cool effect so here's what,we're gonna do we're going to kind of,cut a couple of holes here where we're,gonna put it and then we're gonna drill, our hole into the nose area, keep in mind as I said before the, styrofoam is gonna melt once the paint, hits it I'm only going in about a half,an inch,it'll probably melt down to an inch when,it's all said and done but half an inch,is plenty far enough next thing we want,to do is put our mouth on here I'm,marking it with my fingernail that's,gonna be the edges of my mouth, take your dremel line it up where you've,marked your little areas and just kind,of make a hole in there it doesn't,matter how deep you go on this part here, because you'd kind of want a deep mouth, because it adds a really cool effect to,the entire prop you see I kind of got a,little western there with that one gouge,it's okay because once the spray paint, hits it it's not gonna matter when, you're making these mouths kind of think,of the Joker's scars that's kind of how,far you want to go out with the you know, with your cuts now that I've established,I'm going to start going in real deep, with a dremel you need to go almost all,the way into the very end of the bit and, then you got it see you have a nice good, smile right there now what we're gonna,do is we're going to drill up underneath, the jaw and we're going to put a hole in,there so to reach in where that my,finger was just at so once again we're,gonna put a hole in there it's gonna go,up to where my finger was and the reason, why we're doing this is is because we,want it to look like it's decaying and, once the spray-paint hits there it's,gonna melt it back and when people get,up close and they look at your prop, they're gonna see that has a lot of,detail to it because you put did this, one little step, nothing special just get a hole in there, leave plenty of room for the chin if you, look here you can see my fingers, sticking through the hole now what you, want to do is take your Dremel and what,I do is I push my bit out just a little, bit more to make it longer and then now,I'm going to stick it in all the way, like I'm just cutting away that right in,its mouth and that's all you got to do,spray-paint is going to do the rest of,the work for you does he look happy, okay now it's time to do the ear holes,I usually go straight across from the, eyeball to the seam of the styrofoam, doesn't matter how deep you go with, these ear holes because they're going to,get covered by a prosthetic later in the, video so you can go in 1 inch 1/2 inch 3,inches it doesn't matter so once you get, your circle put in right there you know, just kind of move it around in a,circular motion you got your circle for, your ear hold now we're gonna go to the, other side go to the eye,go to the seam drill a hole in there and, then kind of go in a circular motion, again I say a motion I'm in motion, circular motion not a motion and there, you go you got both of your ear hole, setup,I guess I'm going to be doing a little, bit more touch-up in there because it,helps if you go back and watch the video,oh yeah you want to clean out the, styrofoam the best as possible because,it will be in your way when you're,spray-painting and it's a pain in the, butt so there you go got your main holes, put it in there okay next thing we're,gonna do is we're going to establish, some wounds I like to put a wound up,there on top and I think I'm gonna put a,gouge on the side of the head and then,we put a big hole in the back back there, and then I put a little wound on the, base of the skull on the back so here we,go I'm gonna kind of draw or trace a,section of where you're gonna put your, first wound and then you're gonna get in,there and you're gonna cut it out you,see how I put those lines in there just, kind of a reference for me and this part,is tedious it takes a long time to do,just you know don't get too bored to,where you screw up just you know kind of,get it done at your own pace you see I,only went down about half an inch right, there the reason why I did that is,because as I said before the spray paint,is gonna melt the rest of it away it,doesn't have to be smooth because you, want that effect of looking like a,corpse and nothing is smooth on a corpse, unless it's got really smooth dance, moves but anyway so now we're gonna be,carving the back of the skull this is,where I said we're gonna go deep in back, here I kind of like to think you know, maybe he might have got shot in the head, and it you know kind of exploded out the, back but you know I like to give my,zombie heads a story and that's my,zombie head story for this one maybe he,was in the wrong part of town and and, like in Georgia and somebody pulled a,gun out and shot him in the head and, come flying out the back anyways so,there it is you see it kind of have it,in there it's got some rough edges you, want that because the spray paint is,gonna melt it away give it different, elevations make it look cool now I'm,working on the wound on the back of the, head and right here I just kind of make,a zigzag zag was exam no,zag kind of like I don't know Harry,Potter but on the side of the head and, when the spray paint hits that it's,gonna melt it away and leave just a,little bit of an indentation which is,gonna look all balls man friggin awesome, now I've got it cleaned out you know, making sure everything's right and I'm,think I'm going to add one more thing to,this I've if you look at a skull you, kind of see that on the cheeks they're,sunken in and we're gonna do that with, this here kind of like how we did the, little zigzag up on top we're just going,to put a little tiny bit of a mark in,there because the spray paint is gonna,do all the work for us so as you see I,got my two marks in there and that's,gonna give it that sunken-in cheek look, really cool look to it I mean it's it,adds a lot of character to this and, that's what you're going for you want to,make something that people are gonna be,like this is awesome so it's time to,paint put on a glove if you can because,it sucks getting paint on your hands or,if you like gettin paint on your hands, and don't worry about but I wear glove, because I got smooth hands the ladies, are like me touching them with and by,ladies I mean my wife so anyway so,you're gonna be doing a blast not, constant spraying because you'll melt a,lot just blast kind of like how I'm,doing that doesn't matter if it misses, the hole it's gonna get you know in,there and accomplish what you want you,see where it's kind of turning grey, where I've spray-painted that's the, paint eating away at the styrofoam here,we are about 10 minutes later and I got,the whole front of the face done up,underneath the jaw now we're going to,hit the back of the head, doesn't it look pretty cool so we're,gonna hit the back of the head now this,is just one application that I'm doing, right now and you see there's the gray, showing up but anyways this is my first, application I'm gonna do about three or,four of these to really get it dark in,there each application will coat the, previous application to eventually where, the paint won't be hitting any styrofoam,it'll be the paint, painting the paint if that makes sense,so let it dry and now we're going to get, some cotton balls and what you want to,do is your cotton balls is you want to,unroll your cotton balls and I would not, have any less than 20 of these cotton, balls rolled out you're gonna need them, all so unroll them like that and it's,really simple to do it's time-consuming,I'm sorry but you got to do it now, you're going to need some acrylic, painters caulk and you're gonna want to,mix it with water in a bowl like that, until it gets real slimy and yes I said, water, some people use ammonia but water is,cheaper and it you can do this in the, house so and then get a paint brush and, that's what you're gonna use to put the, cotton balls on there so first thing you, want to do is to get your paintbrush and, you're going to put a layer of silicone,on the skull pretty simple just like you, know painting a room I guess or painting, the fence you know up down no,side-to-side but yeah you're gonna put a,layer of silicone on there and then if I,I put a lot on there in this first, application but yeah,so then you're gonna take your cotton, ball and you're gonna kind of spread it,out a little bit and then you're just, gonna put it on top of the silicone like,so,and you see you got that cotton on there, and now you're gonna take your, paintbrush again and you're going to,paint on top of that cotton and you, really want to saturate the crap out of,it okay because you don't want there to,be any voids in there the silicone will, dry the water will evaporate out of,there and you know you don't want any, voids you don't want to give it any, reason to fall off so basically you're,doing you're just taking it on there and, just paintbrush motions man nothing too, special just you know paint it till you, can't see the cotton that's the best, advice I can give you I like to really, put the junk on there now if you see, right there I kind of have a little bump,it's hard to see with the light and all, that but there it is you see that bump, what that is is you know the end of the, cotton ball was rolled out that looks, cool don't worry about that that adds, character to your prom so now putting, another piece of cotton on right next to,it and I'm just painting it on there and,I'm gonna have a little bump up there on,top and that's gonna look cool you know, kind of gives the impression that some, areas are decaying faster than others so,here I am putting a bunch of cotton on,there I'm trying to speed up the process, because my kids are outside playing, right now and I can't hear them and I,wonder what the hell they're doing so,that's why I'm hurrying up I'm putting a,bunch of cotton balls on there and look, there's the back of the head you see I,kind of I rolled the con around there a,little bit I really clumped that up,because we want it to be you know, elevated above the hole because when we,put our other cotton on there we don't,want the cotton to drip down into the, hole we want the cotton to you know kind,of prop up over the top of it give it,that stretchy look so there it is cotton,on the JA cotton on the neck go down as,far as you want to go just drape cotton, all over that whole thing just like that,I mean God doesn't that look awesome I,mean that just is like pretty sweet so,I'm gonna keep putting your cotton on,there, and and you know that's pretty much it I,go through I like to touch things up you, know you have all that silicone in that, cup and why waste it you know just put,it on there it's just gonna add to it,this is one of those cases where too, much is not too much I mean you want it,to look grisly and you can so there I am,I'm done I'm waiting 24 hours and then,I'm coming back to it and there it is,I'm gonna call it Gregory because it,looks like a Gregory first thing you, want to do is dip some cotton in your, new silicon that you've made and you're,just gonna lay it on there kind of like, that you're not using a paintbrush this, time you're just doing that you know you,see I've laid the cotton on there I'm,stretching it out the cotton is severely, saturated it's severely the word oh,there goes my daughter the cotton is,tremendously saturated there we go we'll,use that word and we're just dripping it,over there because you know this looks, like flesh this looks like flesh that, possibly melted or tore away from the, from the zombie as it was climbing out,of the grave getting ready to come into, your house and eat you or maybe it's,like that because it's gonna go dance, with Michael Jackson who knows but it,looks pretty cool you see I'm just, draping that over and I like to put a,lot over the eyes because you know kind,of looks like you've just fallen over, there here's the back of the skull this,is where the elevation I was telling you, about it comes in handy and before you, know how I said you don't want to have, any less than 20 pretty much the same, story on this part here and keep in mind,on this that you know just because you,can put that cotton on there doesn't,mean you should put a lot on there a,little bit goes a long ways you know, don't cover the whole head and cotton, but you know stretch it out make it work, for you you're gonna cover a lot more, area by stretching that cotton like that, see that I have a piece hanging off his,job right there you know how we put that, hole in the neck it's good to have a,cotton hanging down under the neck, because it you know looks like you know, muscles kind of where your like neck, muscles would be cut I don't know what, they're called so we're going to wait, another two 24 hours and now we need, wood stain now this is a darker wood, stain you want to wear gloves for this, because this stuff gets everywhere, take your wood stain and you're going to,just apply it and paint it on there you, know look at that just goes right on,there the silicone and cotton will, absorb it right up this by no means, means that this thing is waterproof if,you want to waterproof this you need to,go by like a Thompson's WaterSeal it or,something like that or Canada that, sealant spray this stuff will wash off, with a good rainstorm the reason why I,know this is because we had a really, good rainstorm the next day and half of,the stain had washed off the skull half,of it stayed but most of it was gone off,the top so I had to go back and repaint, this skull but yeah you see them kind of,a just painting you know you can take a,rag and kind of dab it but I don't there,it is pretty cool on let's go scare my,son with it real quick, ready here you see he doesn't like it,whoo-hoo I'm gonna get you Chris run run,and he runs away so there's my video I,hope you enjoyed it please like the, video subscribe do whatever you want to,do and happy Halloween

Halloween Crafts: Sugar Skull Styrofoam Head Art
Halloween Crafts: Sugar Skull Styrofoam Head Art
hey y'all, welcome back in this video i'm going to,be,decorating painting putting together, another styrofoam head art piece, these videos are not my favorite to make, because they take so long, you know to actually put the head, together there are so many steps and, just so many different things that you,can do with them it's not something that,i can,you know just say hey this is how you do,it and then you do it,um just so many steps but anyway i did,the best that i could, and i hope you enjoy it,okay so i have two layers of mod podge,on here, and they are fairly dry i sit in front,of a fan now if you do that you want to,let the layers dry at least,20 minutes so what i have now,is just some white acrylic paint, plain all white acrylic paint and a nice,a fluffy brush, now i know that even though this is,white i'm still going to paint it with, some white paint it sort of like primes,it,and just gives you a better finish now, speaking of,primer if you don't want to use,mod podge on your styrofoam heads, walmart and you know what you may could, find this at other craft stores too over, where they sell the styrofoam stuff they,do have a styrofoam primer, but you know i don't see the purpose in,using that, when you can use mod podge, now for this i do put on several coats,i put on several coats of paint so i,will let this dry i can't remember, exactly how many coats i used on like, the um,the autumn goddess one that i did i know,it was several coats,i mean you know this paint is relatively, inexpensive so you know,i will use several coats of it,all right so i have two layers,of the white acrylic paint on here and, they are pretty dry so now what i'm,going to do is,with a pencil just kind of sketch in the, lips, and the nose and you know honestly i,still don't even know,100 what i want this to look like, and i don't do a lot of these videos i,love to make these heads but i don't do,a lot of these videos because they, are they are sort of time consuming well, the craft itself is time consuming to,make not really time consuming to make, the video because i edit that and cut,the time down, but the craft itself is time consuming, and there's a lot of breaks in the video, and you all know i hate putting breaks,in videos,so let's see just sketch on the mouth,i'm saying that in in and of itself and,of itself oh my goodness,in and of itself, takes a lot of time because you know if,i don't get it exactly the way i want it,i'm going to have to erase it,and already do it so just kind of,drawing in the lips, that looks okay now i've seen a lot of,these heads you know they paint with the, eyes open i don't like that,i don't like them with the open eyes, they're,that's a little too creepy for me i mean,i love creepy stuff, but i just i don't like those i don't,like it all right well that looks okay, you know these lines aren't going to be,exact because once you get the paint on,you know it's going to look a little bit, different, but that looks okay so now for the nose,i'm not exactly sure what i want to do,for the nose,i'm just kind of winging it here, now when you're drawing things on with, your pencil you don't want to gouge too,far down in the foam in case you know, you don't like, what you're doing and you want to go,back and change it,you know you're able to do that, like i said i don't even know 100 of,what i'm doing here, yeah i got kind of sort of an idea, and then you just go back wherever you, have sketched in and then you just fill,it in with the paint, okay okay so this is what i have so far, this is dry i did extend the nose out to,the side just a little bit more, and now i'm going to go in with this, black paint and i'm going to start doing, some detailing on her, mouth her lips whatever you want to call,it,so once again with this fine a fine, brush it's super fine, with this fine brush, and like i said it's so hard for me to,do these um,on camera because i turn them and twist, them they do have a hole down here so i,can put my thumb in there and kind of,hold it still, trying to make sure i'm still in frame, here,oh lord this looks like an autopsy, just try to go along this line that i,drew, and when i do these heads it's like i go,in with like my idea and then i add to,it and add to it and add to it and add,to it you know so it really is hard,to get on film every little thing that,i'm doing without making an hour long, video which i despise, really long videos sometimes i just, can't help it,but i'm just giving you like the basic, idea and then you can go in and do,whatever it is that you want to do with, them, all right girlie hold, still, just going up with the mouse like this, and then i'm just going to go,and add in,some lines there we go,okay so how do i want to do this i said,i have to,twist it and turn it and twist it and, turn it,let's go in with the lips like this, and of course you know everything is,very cartoonish looking right now we can,go in later and add some shading, and for that you know you can mix a,little bit of black in with your white, paint and a little bit of black in with, the red paint and then you can do some, shading on the cheekbones, and the corners of the lips and, everything to make it look a little bit, more realistic,i might do one in the future with the, eyes open i don't know i just don't like, them,i don't like dolls if you know me you, know i hate dolls,i hate dolls i make dolls but i don't,like to have them setting around except, for the ones i made, you know unless they want to become, sentient and kill me in my sleep i don't,know, okay so there's that so now i'm going to,outline her lips, and then i'm just going to put some, lines, and work on that and come back and we'll,see what i want to do with her eyes, okay so this is her mouth bear with me,it's going to look good in the end,now what i did with her eyes here i went, ahead and i penciled in her eyes, now for that i just kind of drew the, shape that i wanted,on a piece of notebook paper and cut it,out and then i laid it here and just, traced around it,flipped it and then traced around it for,the other eye so that you know, things could be kind of sorta you know, the same, shape and the same size because me,trying to free him two eyes like that, that ain't gonna happen look what i did, look i'm gonna take my paper eyeball and,i'm gonna wipe it off, that's why i like to use paper backdrops,or even contact paper, which is what this is i like using that, kind of thing on my table, just for a boo-boos like that now for,the eyes i'm going to paint, the whole inside here black, and then i'm going to go back later on,i'm going to add some glitter, and some other little things eyelashes, for one definitely this girl needs some, eyelashes,so anyway that's what i'm doing now,and my table squeaks this poor craft, table has been with me,for so many years and it squeaks, here it's probably saying enough woman, please put me out of my misery,no you're stuck with me,and there's a nat in here but anyway, yep just gonna color these in solid, black, and i've ordered some eyelashes actually, and that's not gonna be here for a,couple days, and we'll put those on and i'm just, going to work on the eyes, probably put some decorations around the, edges of them, and really do this girl's eyes up and, make her pretty pretty, anyway here comes another pause, alrighty so moving right along i think, the colors that i want to use, next i have some of this color shift, paint from folk art i had gotten this at,walmart, and they have a nice iridescent, quality now they do need to have, like a nice strong background color, okay so this being plain white and this, being plain black, these colors will show up pretty, decently, and make sure that you shake them up,really well when you use them, now what i'm going to use these for is,around the edge of the eye here,i'm just going to take my pencil and, what i want to do is just draw like, these,i don't know just little designs around,it you know can y'all see this, you know what,i'm just going to draw little designs, all the way around the eye, nothing fancy here just like this, all the way around the eye,and then i'm going to fill it in with, this which is probably going to take,at least two or three coats from my,experience of using this type of paint, before, think i'm about out of that blue color, but anyway, what i'm going to do is just finish, drawing all the way around the eye and,it's probably going to be the last time, that i do,any of the painting on camera because, once i get like the, face done you can you can pretty much, see what i've done, okay it's pretty self-explanatory and, then what we'll get into, next is you know with the if i put any, hair on it i don't even know if i want,to put hair on it yet or not,or the flowers you know whatever else i,decide that i want to put on here,so i'm going to work on this i'm going,to finish painting the face, probably take me a few days to try to,decide what i want to put on here,hi and then we'll come back, and we'll add on some decorations, okay so this is what i have done on my,little skull,so far um when it comes to painting, these you really, you just have to do what you want to do,i mean you know there's nothing that i,can sit here and show you do this or do,that, you know it's very individualized, however you want it to look, that's how you paint it but um i wanted, initially i was gonna do her eyes here, with some purple glitter, you know just paint on the mod podge, sprinkle on the glitter and pour it off,um but i wanted something to break up,the purple i know i know,i love purple uh why would i want to,break up the purple because i have a,purple wig over here,um that i'm going to put on her and i,wanted a little bit of soda to break it,up,now i do have some purple eyelashes, strip, eyelashes that i'm going to put on here,it's getting, kind of close to halloween so you can, find those types of eyelashes pretty, much anywhere, right now over in the costume section, but um with acrylic paint it has been, difficult to get a hold of acrylic paint,at least in my area, stand up woman the um the colors that,i've been wanting,so i went to hobby lobby today and they, had one bottle of this,it's just the color skin tone,so this is it and what i want to do is i,want this to look like,a person wearing sugar skull makeup you, know that that's what,i'm going for here so i'm going to take,my handy dandy, pencil and what i'm going to do is i'm,just going to kind of try to be careful, and just, trace you know like a real person if a,person was wearing makeup you know where, would the makeup, stop and then you know where would the, actual, skin begin you know so i'm just kind of,because this paint is is light i'm i'm,trying to not, draw very with a very heavy hand i guess, you can say,all right woman let's give her a jawline, now the hair is going to cover a lot of,this,so i'm just worried about this part here, let's see and this does take a while you, know it's hard to uh,started doing camera this here i had, just mixed up a little bit of gray paint, with the white paint mixed it up,and as you can see what i did here, around the nose would just use it for a,little bit of shading and i did that, there too,so let's see i think that looks okay, that looks like, that looks like makeup well a line where, makeup would be,alright so now i'm going to get this, paint here you know what i didn't shake,it up lord of mercy, and shake it up shake it up shake it up,and i'm just going i'm going to throw my,brush that's what i'm going to do,very important to throw the brush i'm,just putting a little bit of the paint,on my brush, and i'm just gonna go under here i'm not, gonna worry too much about the back here, because like i said,i do have a wig for her and that wig is,going to,cover all of that up i'm just want to,put some on her neck here, and bring it back then i will go in with,a smaller brush, here in a minute and get closer to that, line that i drew,so that's all that i'm doing right now,and this is probably going to take and i,know, the shade is different looking at the, camera i can tell you that it looks,um more pinkish i guess,is the term in real life um,let's set that there but yeah i'm going,to put this paint on here and then let,it dry,and then put on a second coat and then, that should be enough i like to do two, coats when i'm using colors at least two, coats, for this but anyway let me work on this, and i'm going to get her wig,and i do have some flowers and i said i,wanted to do the, purple and this teal color so i've got, some roses, from hobby lobby that we're gonna put on,her little head,i'll put her wig on and try to get her, dressed up,okay so for the most part this is dry i,still have just a few little spots that, are not dry,but i want to get this video done this, video has been actually a couple weeks,in the making um because i was trying to,find, stand up i was trying to find the, eyelashes and everything, and the wig and my store finally, finally got that stuff in,all right so i had these eyelashes i had,a different style and i didn't like it,so i got these, big extravagant tinsel eyelashes, says self-adhesive all right and that's,oops i am sorry, violence towards my towards my styrofoam, head here,um self-adhesive and i'm like okay, that's cool because you know certain, glues will eat through this, styrofoam so i thought the self-adhesive,kind,would be oh they are quite sticky, quite sticky let's see if there's a tab, that i need to,oh no all right so let's see this is,kind of difficult because,i'm sitting at an angle here,uh let's see i'm just going to stick it,on there i may have to hold this down in,my lap or something,i want them to go here now let's move it,over a little bit, let's move it over this can be kind of,tricky, getting the eyelashes right where you, want them, like i said this is like sitting up on,the table and my arms are kind of,extended, and that can be a little bit difficult, sometimes to get things where you need, them to be,now for glue if you wanted to to glue, lashes down or something like that i,highly would suggest you use something, gentle try to stick it down with some, mod podge or with some elmer's glue,i have had great success with that in,the past you know trying to stick things, down, with the elmer's glue onto foam and it,doesn't mess it up so you know just just, good old elmer's glue,so let's see i'm trying to be careful, where i'm touching because like i said, some of this is not dry yet all right so,let's try to put the other one on,now for the wig i got the wig at walmart, and it has some waves in it,all right come on it does have a little, strip, anyway um the wig does have some waves,in it now when you are, trying to style a very very, fake plastic wig um,and this one is even not the highest of,quality plastic, wigs it was like six bucks something, like that,um you can use a curling iron on the, absolute, lowest heat that's how i style a lot of,them,if you have one of those little hand, steamers you know that you steam clothes, with, you can like wrap the hair around, curling rods you can wrap it around, curlers, and then just hit it with that little, handheld steamer just enough,to heat the plastic up and then let it,cool and then take out the rollers, that's the way that you can do it lots,of different ways that you can style, those wigs, but anything that you do absolutely, anything that you do,you need to use very very low heat, all right so let's see this i might have,to completely adjust these lashes off, camera where i can actually hold this, down,in my lap and get to it,well this adhesive is just working isn't,it,yeah i may have to do that here in a,second just oh no i'm scooting it down, okay we have that, now for the wig i'm trying to think, about which way i want to do it first i,think i need to put on the wig,and get that into place and glue it down, and then i have these purple and bluish, colored roses that i got from hobby, lobby earlier this beautiful greenery, and i want to keep this greenery um,i don't want to get rid of that i mean, these suckers are like six bucks each, then we're on sale,so anyway let's get out the wig,and this is the wig now this part is,definitely going to be difficult to see, with, the angle of my camera but you know what, you work with what you have,so i'm going to set her up here,i'm just going to take the wig and try,to bring it around, and say there are definitely some wet, spots of paint, put it on like so whoops woman, you're loosing your hair it flew right, off, all right now we just take that little, netting in the back and pull it down, now what you can do i know at least with,me,sometimes i'll use some decorations for,a year or so and then i take them all, apart and make something different out,of them, you can use some low temp hot glue and, glue the wig down, you can use straight pins you can use, like those little u-shaped floral pins,to just stick through the wig go under, the hair just stick it,through the wig cap,and stick it down that way just however, you want to adhere this wig,now the flowers that i'm going to put on,i'm thinking what i'm going to do i'm,just going to take the stem, and i'm going to go just straight down, through the top of the wig, like this and just stick it down into, the head itself that is going to help to,hold the wig,in place as well so let's see this hair, doesn't look too,bad um you can get a wide tooth comb, like the plastic combs that you use when, your hair is wet,wet comb and just gently, gently comb it out you know get the,get the curls into some sort of shape, here and i will most definitely, work on that here in a little bit but, this is what we have so far,i don't like the ones with the eyes open,i think i said that, somewhere in the other part of the video,um those, really creep me out but let's take these, roses here, and i want this purplish one to go in,the center,so i have my i'm sorry i have my wire, cutters here and i'm going to cut this,i want to give it a good amount of stem, here, all right you go over there i'm not just, going to take that off,all right so let's bend this flower,so that it's at an angle like that so we,can stick this just straight down into, the head and then this flower will be at,the front, all right girlie this is going to hurt,me morning is going to hurt you,oh that eyelash is coming off so yeah, definitely you might want to take a,little bit of elmer's glue and stick, that on there, that adhesive was pretty good though for, being self, self adhering so i want to try to go,to the center of her forehead here, all right that looks good so now we're,just going to come, through the top like this, okay i'm just going to stick it you know, what i'm going to get a pencil or,something,i'll try to go through there because see, there's the netting like the netting, part,of the wig,and i'm just going to make the hole here, and then i'm going to stick that flower,in and then i'm going to do that for the, other flowers oh my gosh girl i am so,sorry, okay stick that down in there all right,so i'm going to take a minute here, because this is probably going to take,me a minute, and i'm probably going to have to make, that hole a little bit deeper and i'm,just going to take this flower and push,it down in there and then i want to do,the same with the other two flowers one,on this side, and one on that side so i'm going to,pause the video here and then we'll come, back, and take a look okay so i have the, flowers, jammed into her little cranium here, all right so i want this to look like an,actual flower arrange me and not like, just,a head so i wanted to incorporate some,of the leaves, that i took off of the stems over here, and the way that i do this is i have, some of this floral wire you just take a,piece of floral wire, and then you can use a toothpick you can,use like a wooden skewer whatever you,i just dropped my piece of wire whatever, you have on hand and then you take the, wire, and wrap the greenery around the, toothpick lip,so i shall cut another piece,so what i have here is a toothpick and, then i'm just going to take that, toothpick and if you want to you can put,a bit of hot glue so you know what we,can do that, just to kind of hold it in place, set that there and stick your toothpick, down on it and then we're just going to,wrap the wire around it why do i do that, well because then you take the toothpick, and stick the toothpick down in the head, because a lot of this greenery stuff, this this is not wired you know so you, don't have anything to stick down into, the foam and,i don't want to use a bunch of hot glue,to glue it to the flower or something, because then that's not, gonna look good from a bunch of,different angles it'll only look good, head on so just take this wire, just wrap it round and round and round, and round, and around so i don't do many of these, videos for these heads because they are, very very time consuming,um and it's not something that i just, sat down and doing a day like i said,i've been working on this one, before a couple weeks now but anyway now,you have made,a pick all right girlie set up,so i'm just going to take this and just, stick it down into the foam, and i'm going to do that with several, different pieces and i will, mess with it you know move it around and, see, how i want it to look but anyway that, that's pretty much it for these,um once again another reason why i don't,do these videos a lot because you know,it's it's all just a matter of taste,it's not something that's easily,i can just sit down and show you you, know without talking, for an hour and i hate when people do,that but anyway, let me work on her and then i'll take, another short video for the very, end and i'll show you anything that i,did in any changes, that i made so all right y'all i am,going to call that, finished you see i have the flowers all, stuck in there, and then i thought why not break up some,of this blue here with a little bit more, purple,so i put these purple and black sparkly, spiders on there those, came from the dollar tree and then i,just stuck the leaves like i showed you,how you can, attach them to a toothpick i just stuck, the leaves around, because like i said i wanted to add a,little bit more height and i wanted it,to be like more floral than like just a,head sitting there with flowers on it,and down here all i did i had a scrap, piece of black lace,so i just glued that lace around her, neck and then stuck another spider on it,and there she is i am so happy with this, you know i think i'm gonna have her, setting out all year round,i really do or or at least in my what i,like to call like my little creepy area,i have all kinds of stuff like this um,anyway i am so pleased with how it came, out i hope you are too,if you would please give this video a,thumbs up click subscribe, check me out on other forms of social, media the links to all of which, will be in the description box down, below and i hope to see y'all next time, bye

FOAM PUMPKIN MASK - Easy Halloween Mask Tutorial!
FOAM PUMPKIN MASK - Easy Halloween Mask Tutorial!
today we're making jack-o-lantern full, head masks using nothing more than,store-bought foam pumpkins, now these foam pumpkins are carvable and,it'll be the perfect head mask for any,Halloween lover,so join me for this super easy tutorial, foreign,to begin making our Jocko Lantern face, mask we need a foam pumpkin now I saw, this idea on Tick Tock by Creator Nick, painting so I'm going to include his,YouTube in the description of the video,so you can check out his other works, that he's created but these foam, pumpkins I get them from Michael's there, are other retailers that sell these type,of foam pumpkins that are Hollow on the, inside but the best ones I've ever, gotten are from Michael's and normally, they're on sale right before the,Halloween season so right now is the, best time to get them next we need to,draw a face on this I'm going to use a,Google image as an inspiration but I'm,going to freehand it and use it as well,if we use a stencil it looks a little, bit choppy I've never liked tracing or,using a stencil so freehand is best it,looks natural organic and you know, really grimacing so we're going to draw, face with a marker two eyes nose and a,mouth and then we're going to cut it out, with a hot knife now I've already made a,tutorial on how to carve these type of,pumpkins I'm going to try to put the, link probably somewhere up there click,it so you can know all the details on,how to carve a foam pumpkin into awesome,jack-o-lanterns so we're going to,quickly run through this but that, tutorial is right there so definitely, check it out once we draw our face we,get our hot knife and then we start, cutting another thing all the items that,I use on my channel I link them in the, description of the video so if you want, the same items I'm using just go in,there click the link it'll take you to,all the stores so it takes the guesswork, out of everything so let's get started, before we continue with this tutorial I,wanted to show you all the first book, that I've written it's called Little,Olive in the Wally bat and it's rated, for kids ages 2 to six years old it,follows a brave little Olive that gets, lost and is found by a very helpful, brown bat this is the first book I've,ever written and I'm super excited about,it it's available on Amazon via, paperback or Kindle so if anyone wants,to support me or read it to their kiddos,go check it out the link is in the bio,of the video Little Olive and the Wally, bat on Amazon now let's get back to this, amazing tutorial,so before we begin drawing the face, you'll see that these pumpkins have a,seam right here in half because these, are two halves that were glued together, you don't want to draw the face along, this seam right here so you want to do,it on this side or this side so I'm,going to do right here and I always like,to start off with a nose because that, centers me so we'll probably make a nose, like, this, there we go and then from there you can, make the eyes,so like this,so as you can see I'm not perfect at,drawing but no matter once we cut it,with the knife it's going to be perfect, and for the mouth, probably let's do a,we'll do a grin like this,so as you can see I've done my face like, this if I wanted to I could actually, make more teeth or make the teeth, sharper when I cut it but perfect we,have a basic face right here so let's,get to cutting it with our hot knife to,carve this foam pumpkin we're going to,be using a hot knife now this hot knife, comes with about 10 different tip, attachments but the one you want to use,is the one that looks like an exacto, knife as you can see now this is,extremely hot so you need to be very, careful while using this you don't want,to cut yourself or burn yourself so that, once it's really hot then we're going to,start cutting I like to start with the, eyes so what we do is we simply stab it,inside, and just like that it starts cutting,I'm not even putting a lot of force,it's like that we're going we're going,to keep on doing this, for all of the eyes the nose and the, mouth, foreign, and this is what we're left with as you,can see this took me no more than 10,minutes to carve this out and we could, leave it like this or,we could dry brush it and make them look, like this as you can see this one was,dry brushed I used some black acrylic, paint a brush a little bit of water in,order to do all of these you know creepy, looking details on it so,if you want to know how to do this again, check out my other video on how to carve, foam pumpkins it's on my YouTube profile, you can check it out to see how to do,this type of style but now that we've,got this done the next step is to cut it,in half and what we're going to do is,use the seam right over here as our, guide to cut this foam pumpkin in half, but before we start cutting the seam we,need to cut a hole in the bottom that is,the circumference of your neck so I'm,going to get a elastic measuring tape or,flexible measuring tape should I say I'm,going to measure my neck the size of my,neck then we're going to make the whole, the side or slightly bigger than my neck,so that there's some room for it to move,do that first this is very important, measure your neck cut the opening and, then once you're done cutting it then we,can start cutting it along the seam,so what are we going to do when we get,to the top no we're not going to cut the, stem in half what we're going to do this,is the front this is the back when we,come with our hot knife we're going to,go like this along the back of the stem,to meet the other seam just like that we,don't want to cut the stem in half once,we have that done all we got to do is,attach the magnets with hot glue and, voila we are almost done so let's get to,it so I measured my neck using this, flexible measuring tape and it turns out, that it's 16 and a half inches therefore,I'm going to be doing the whole 16 and, three quarter inches so that there's a,little bit of wiggle room once the, pumpkin comes over here because it's,going to be like this you don't want to,be too tight across your neck so make it,about a quarter inch to maybe even half,an inch bigger than your neck is so that,it's comfortable around it,so now that we know the neck measurement, which is the circumference how do we,translate that into a hole super simple, take the circumference of your neck in,my case it is 16 and a half inches and, divided by pi or 3.14 and then the, estimated outcome is about five and a,quarter inches so what I'm going to do,is measure five and a quarter this way,and then five and a quarter that way and, then just connect the dots with a circle, just like that then you cut it out and, that should be a perfect opening to put, your neck on there so again measure your, neck whatever it is divided by pi or,3.14 and that'll be the diameter that, you use to make it super simple to make, the hole so let's get to it,oh,my God,and if it's too tight oops if it's too, tight we can use our hot knife to make,it even bigger so we got it just like, that, now let's cut it out, foreign and this is what you should be,left with that took me no more than five, minutes super simple and look at that, now we have a pumpkin, for jack-o'-lantern that can be divided,in half so one little tip that I learned, right now cutting on the actual seam was, very very difficult because of the, adhesive so I carved about a quarter of,an inch away from the actual seam and it,was so much easier to cut it that way so,definitely do that when you're cutting,it see the seam is right there and I cut, about a quarter of an inch to the, opposite side so it's perfect this is so,good now what we need to do,is I'm probably going to cover the, inside of the face I have some speaker, mesh that I'm going to use it's this, soft mesh that's black we're going to,stick it with hot glue on the inside, over here,so you can see out but people can't,really see in we're going to do it for,the eyes nose and mouth once we're done, with that then we're going to stick the, magnets and this is a super simple part, because the magnets I have are super, small we're going to make little holes, right over here right over here probably, three on each side and then the same on,the other side,so that when it comes together,it can just hold in place like that and,it's very easy to take off so let's do,the speaker mesh first on this and then, let's move on,now that we've cut our pumpkin in half,we need to place it back together and, then Mark it so we know exactly where, the magnets are going to go so as you,can see over here there's three marks, they're basically just dots on either, side of the cut pumpkin that way when we,make the hole inside of the pumpkin we,know exactly where the magnets are going,to go so let's get to the other side as,well,we're going to put just a little Mark, like that, like this, just like that,so that, when we open it we know exactly where, the magnets are going to meet and, putting the magnets is so simple I have,a drill bit right over here but you can,use an X-Acto Knife you can use a screw, but this drill bit will work so,perfectly because what we're doing over, here,is we're simply going to make a hole, right in there in between so we grab, this we don't even need a drill, and we go,like this let me twirl it just like that, right in the middle, and just like that we've made a nice, little Dent for our magnets so we're,going to do the same thing to all of,these areas hole right there so six, holes on one side and on the opposite, side we do the same thing using these, marks that we made right here as guide,we're going to go right in the middle, draw a little hole like that so that, when the magnets are placed inside they, are completely flush you want the, magnets to be flush not sticking up so I,have my magnet right here,so these magnets are super small, right there yeah and,we'll put it right in here, just like that, and I'm not sure if you can see but they, are flush you can't even see it like, this,so we need to put some super glue or,some hot glue you can use a combo both, super glue will be stronger but hot glue, will be faster so I'm going to be using, hot glue right here once I make all my,little dents all over it,foreign,so this is what it should look like once,we're done I'm actually missing one, magnet here but if you see I only said,we were going to use three on each side,no that did not work out so instead I'm,actually going to put another magnet, here for a total of six and six so 12,magnets per half for a total of 24,magnets the reason is that even though,it was holding fine with three it wasn't,as solid as I wanted it to be when y'all, was bouncing around walking around if,you're too rough with it it was opening,so I had to add more magnets, another little tip I could do or could, give is to get bigger magnets even, though these are the perfect size I,think a magnet that's twice as big would, fit here as well and it's probably a,little bit stronger so I'm going to,include the magnets I used in the, description of the video but definitely, maybe go with a little bit bigger magnet,so that it's a little bit stronger so in,total we're going to use 24 magnets and,now let's put on this beauty one last, tip if you plan to go out and about with, this go to a party go trick-or-treating,I'm not sure that the magnets are strong, enough to stay on with running or,walking or a lot of movement I only say, that because it does hold but if it's,easy to pull apart I'm sure it's easy to,fall off if you're too rough with it so,a workaround I would see is putting, perhaps a velcro strap right over here,um and another one right over here I've,used velcro before and I think it would, actually look like really cool like if,it had surgery,um but that's just me because I,definitely want to use this out and, about, and if I'm running or jumping or whatnot,I feel it could potentially open so,maybe using like I said stronger magnets,or velcro straps that strap it like this, and like that I think would be great for, this if you plan to be Rowdy with it but,oh my gosh it looks so great let's put,it on,foreign, foreign
