We gave this Halloween Witch Animatronic a Terrifying Makeover

y'all check out what we found, this is the animatronic witch from home, depot she rocks she talks her eyes glow,we got this for 20 bucks on facebook, marketplace it worked well actually we,don't know if it works yet,we're going to find out if it works but,it probably works and we are going to,give her the coolest makeover do we even, have all the pieces i hope so all right, time to find out,all right, the head, this is way bigger than i thought look, how big this chair is it's like, ladies, that's straight like wizard of oz like i,know, these little fluffy feet, here's a body chair two pieces of,oh good there's directions,is that it i think so all right home, depot makes a version of this every year, and i think this one's like three i,think it's from 2018 2018. okay yeah, they're pretty expensive new this is a,super exciting good find oh there's a,parts list okay i'll read off the part, two sides of the chair done got it two, pole things, legs legs back of the chair this this, thing whatever these are,yes the plugs the body of the witch, right here head and cord cord, there's no cord, there has to be a cord,is it in the body, maybe she's yeah maybe it's like plugged,in already supposed to plug in right, there there's the batteries, okay there's no cord to plug it in,there's a pretty good chance we have one,if you're like us you've saved every, wall plug you've ever had from old, pieces of electronics and stuff i have a,huge box of them maybe we have one that, matches the right voltage yes all right,i got a box of,old quartz let's see what we can find we,need,4.5 volts 1.5 amps,4.25 volt one and a half this is four, point five volts this will work it's not, exactly right we're gonna have to order, the exact right size which will probably, cost like five bucks or something but at,least let us test if it works or not, okay i think, all right step one these go in here, maybe it does go from the other side oh,i see this oh and there's a,tab thing screws on here you know what, what one of these is a thicker and one,is thinner i don't i think this is the, thinner one,oh god,a little wobbly but not bad step two, face this is the front oh okay, that yeah these legs are ridiculous,no they're not even two they're stuck, together oh no it's just velcro is it,velcro,oh okay what is this,it's like a cable tie stuck on there,at the back, bam chair next her body okay i think she, just like slots in like there's like a,hole yeah, okay we should move it down because we,can't reach and y'all can't see it,should go down to about there yeah, probably yeah there you go we connect, the wires all right,is that all i had power for,oh god, okay it works it works it works that's,exciting,i definitely want to like build up her, arms and we can use pool noodles to give, her an actual body because she has no,arms it's just floppy we might even just,do away with the hat entirely and give, her like a nice wig yes she needs new, hair look at this she has no hair the, hair's not bad but there's not enough of,it it's very very stringy very light so,maybe a nice like a fuller kind of,crazier wig i think we can do all new, clothes for her we can go to goodwill, get some like old chrome like type stuff, and like we did on the drinking skeleton,we could like get some clothes like, dirty them up you know make her look, yeah i want to go for like this forest, witch vibe, not like halloween store vibe our witch, needs clothes and we figured what better, place to look than goodwill yes we had, great luck here finding i'm gonna run, into a table we had great luck here, finding that old-fashioned nightgown for,our empty soul swing girls which was, crazy by the way,it was amazing that we found it so i,figure we can find the perfect outfit, for our witch what are we looking for a,dress of some sort kind of like muted, earth tones i feel like let's see what,we got what we got i think long, how cute that is,right,it's not a costume it's just an outfit, this is why you secretly love this, you get to go shopping she's got those, terrible like fluffy stuffed shoes that, are like the wicked witch of the west, yes so maybe we can get her some some, real cool boots, they always have good boots here i think, something like this though like these, are good for tromping through the forest, yeah collecting mushrooms herbs, eyes of newt things like that size of,newt we could put a skirt under her, dress and like give it some fullness and, layers and stuff you can even do a,little bit of color in there, yeah, maybe just because she's evil doesn't,mean she doesn't have style that's right, you think we can find a costume for, ourselves while we're here,um,those are amazing,i got some snakeskin boots whoa or i,could go as captain business, what'd you find there, okay that was a success we got pool, noodles these were from the dollar store, they're literally a dollar at least we,got a wig this is really cool it's like,a silvery gray does that have tinsel in,it,yes,we're gonna have to cut all that tinsel, out yeah, here we are we could have a tinsel wig, party witch, okay, how do i look, beautiful love it,we also got a bunch of good clothes from, goodwill that's a skirt it's like you, know some old like uh yeah we're going, for kind of a naturey witch so we got, this cool green dress we've got this, brown shawl that'll go over her and this, red flowery thing and we also have a,whole bunch of creepy cloth left over, from an old project so we're gonna dye,it dirty it up make it just look really, cool and old next thing we're gonna do,is take the witch back apart and we're,gonna paint the chair we're gonna make,it look like a little, next we shall take the witch back apart, all right man the next thing we're gonna,do and now we shall take the witch back, apart and paint her chair and her face, and every and everything we're gonna, paint everything is this what it's like, for you every day just, next day everything's dry we had planned,on painting some wood grain but it,didn't really work we tried these are, wood graining tools and,we'll cut in a little video here to show, you how they're supposed to work but, because this isn't a flat surface it's,not uh it's not really working so,instead of trying to get fancy with the, wood grain tool jamie has a better idea,so we're gonna take some sponges and, maybe some crumpled up paper towels and, just dab it with colors make it look, kind of dirty get some blacks on there, some greens, not all over just you know random places, and then we will dry brush it at the end,and it should look great i've got a,little bit of a yellowish light brown, here i'm dry brushing just a few of the, edges where i think you know some, natural wear in the wood would be this, looks amazing thanks, yeah just sparingly randomly no order, like imagine this part got all moldy and, yeah our witch's wardrobe looks far too,new and we want her to look like she's,lived in the forest for hundreds of,years wearing the exact same clothes, never washed him once i think the, aesthetic we're going for is like if,you've ever played the witcher or like, elden ring or the the hag from the new, resident evil village game like they're,just you know just gross stuff so to,achieve that we're going to use some,watered-down acrylic paints and we're,going to use some black and brown maybe,a little white to make gray and just, kind of start with layers and work up,until we find something we're happy with,it's always weird going to the store to,buy clothes and then you're like let's,ruin them immediately,i think while you finish painting the, clothes i'm going to paint the hands i,pulled them out i just ripped them off, basically but they're too shiny they're,like way too shy they're very plasticky,so i'm gonna give them a primer coat, with some flat black okay and then we'll,just paint them i don't know you know, cool greenish, for cuticles i wanted them to look, really dirty i kind of like how mine are,so i put a little bit of a black wash, right in that crack there and then took,a paper towel and gently wiped away, making sure to leave just a little bit,of black pooling in the crack these, hands turned out so cool they're wrinkly, and gross and old perfect witch hands, what you doing jay we're waiting on,stuff to dry so i'm pulling out all the, tinsel from this wig because i don't,think our dirty hagwich should have, shiny tinsel hair and uh,it's going okay, pulling out individual strands of hair, there's a lot of tinsel in there this is,gonna take forever,i will eat your soul, let's sit her down do you even want the, purple dress on no i don't cutting off,the old dress arms i mean we just start, with some arms start with the arms yeah, okay so if this is just a pool noodle we,cut in half with scissors can we just, kind of stuff them in here we'll just we,tape it on,you think that's gonna stay i do think, that's going to stay okay she got no,body she did she's too flat so we need,to build out her tummy we're going to do,that with a couple pool noodles since, this bends right here they're just going,to attach at the top and hang freely, that way they're not going to restrict, the movement basically just going to do,two 45 degree cuts, instant knee let's glue that together, with some contact cement, kind of look like big straws, yeah i sacrificed some wool tights,we took a little extra piece of the, scrap bent it around to give her a,little little meat on the bone,so let's go there somehow we gotta get, this other arm through, all right, there we go you look beautiful look look, she's got legs and knees, should put the hands on yes okay,an extra thing we did with the hands is,we took just a wooden dowel we drilled a,hole and just jammed it in there put a,little hot glue around the edges and now, watch we can take our hand and it comes, with this little holder that's the way,it worked normally we'll stick that, where it's,supposed to go and then we have the hole,in our pool noodle, goes like that, pull the sleeve up,bam look at that, perfect amazing, before we go any further we should, figure out where the motion sensor is,going to go where is the motion sensor,it's yeah exactly it's just under the, dress i'm here somewhere excuse me madam,i think we can probably just cut like a,slit in the dress and then just have it,poke out and glue it from the back right, there probably, hot oh oh okay i got it i got it i got,it that should be fine yeah yeah that'll,be totally fine i do think she still, needs more bulk in here okay you know we,could use her feets, just shove them in there yeah yeah all, right that'll work we'll tie something, around there it'll look fine here's her, boots and they're already kind of aged,so they're perfect, look at those skinny legs, you know what i think what if we just, instead of like putting her legs in it,just put it like over sure and in and, over,i'm going to put this on upside down so,that the fringe is on the top, there we go,white to white,no neck, here let's put this around her neck, she looks so good,so the wig this wig is just it's,glamorous, and,it's a glam rock witch,it looks like it looks like she just, came out of the salon we needed to look, like she came out of the swamp, she got like a nice blowout here silver, highlights, okay so the hat i'm thinking is we can,you know do some some pinching up here, and then we'll put some cloth over it,we'll take this yellow thing off it'll,look great,i want to make this curved so i'm gonna, stick my hand in there we pinch it and, then the inside you can't see it but, inside the little seam you want to fold, that kind of up and then put your needle, through it that looks super cool curvy, hat nice curve to it that's just bubble, wrap just bubble wrap you can literally, stuff like newspaper paper towel, doesn't matter batting this hair is,really bothering me though it's just too,it's too much i think i think we should, paint it,you know the smart thing is to just buy,a wig that looks the way you want it but,the fun thing is to figure it out,get some paint on there and then brush,it through hairdresser cost you like 300,to do that just pour some acrylic in,your hair and brush it through, don't do that gandalf the white, gender the gray, look at that time to go on yes i love it,i love her,the hair is so much better now yes it is,i don't even mind the sparkles no the, sparkles are kind of cool now,it's one more thing to do yeah, accessorize oh,so like maybe some bones like maybe a,bone necklace and oh i have some crows,we can use let's put her all together, and see how she looks, don't be afraid,i need, this is the coolest transformation i,love how she turned out she is she's,just awesome and i love her get up her, clothes we found them at goodwill and,the cool thing about goodwill is you, never know what you're gonna find but, you're gonna find something that works, and since it's you know used and, affordable you don't feel bad getting it,all muddy and painting it up yeah like, when we did the empty soul girl swing we,found that nightgown for four bucks and,the real one was like 30 dollars plus, shipping not only you're finding unique, stuff but it's most the time way more, affordable to to get the clothes there, yeah you can find different parts for, costumes you're making and they even, have like a cool halloween section, usually with all sorts of vintage props, they do especially this time of year, goodwill is an awesome place to get just, all kinds of random halloween stuff, you're gonna get find like sort of,different things at each store which is,part of the charm of it i think and as,an added bonus it's great for the, environment because you're taking, something that could be in a landfill, and upcycling it into something, beautiful i think that just upcycling, creating your own stuff creating your, own unique costumes and props i mean it,doesn't get cooler than that so thanks,to goodwill for sponsoring today's video, definitely check out their local store, near you i couldn't be happier with what,we came up with here so good job james, yep,if you want to see more halloween, projects check out the rest of the, videos on our channel and until next, time stay wicked, shot through the heart in your to blame

Designing ✨and MAKING ✨a witch costume inspired by my Zodiac

Designing ✨and MAKING ✨a witch costume inspired by my Zodiac

this video is sponsored by surfsharkvpn, picture it it's august 2021 and you feel, the first crispy gust of autumn you're,watching entirely too many rachel maxie, nerdforge intestine videos which means,it's time to impulsively dive into a new, costume project halloween is a few, months out you can do it it'll be no,problem at all you get to work designing, immediately and nothing could possibly, stop you but then you plan what is,likely the most elaborate costume you've,ever made and you finished the project,on the day of your halloween party, october 29th but you did finish it and,it turned out looking pretty freaking, cool, this video was supposed to come out, four months ago,lav mic, acquired hi there if you're new here, this is not normal content for me well,it is,but the costuming part is new over the, past few months my channel's niche has, steered hard into character design and, fantasy aesthetics which is really just, becoming shiny armor fun time for me,but as many of you know i also really, like making stuff pre-plague years i,used to do a lot of cosplay i've always, loved costuming and of course building, props i don't know as much as i'm a,visual artist and an illustrator there,is something that just hits different, about having a tangible item at the end,of a project and just being able to look,at it and be like i made you, you're mine so since i have so much of a,love for cosplay and character design, last fall i embarked on a journey and,set out to design a witch character, based on my zodiac which is libra and, then build a costume from said design, and oh,boy did i bite off more than i can chew, with this one so despite diving, headfirst into this project with, reckless abandon the first step was of,course coming up with a design but first,as much as i love cosplay and sewing, they can get incredibly tedious so to,pass the time i like to binge watch my,favorite tv shows like seinfeld the, office in brooklyn nine-nine but here is,the crime brooklyn nine-nine in the, office are not available on american, netflix which netflix what the heck, thankfully this video is sponsored by,surfshark surfsharkvpn is a virtual, private network that protects your, online privacy by encrypting all the, data sent between your device and the, internet keeping your information safe, from nefarious corporations and cyber, criminals by encrypting your data surf, shark masks your ip address meaning that, you can change your location to anywhere,in the world with one of surfshark's,3200 plus servers and unblock content so,if i want to watch brooklyn 99 all i,have to do is switch over to an,australian server and bam there it is,and if i want to watch the office all i,have to do is switch over to a server in,the uk and now there is no one to stop,me from binging all eight seasons in,record time take that netflix but, surfshark isn't just great for, unblocking content a vpn is essential, for anyone who wants to keep their, privacy online especially for someone, like me who does a lot of business on,the internet i'm going on vacation soon, and i'll probably have to do some, business while i'm there, meaning that i'll probably have to use, public networks thankfully surfshark, encrypts my data and protects my,personal information whenever i'm using, networks that are vulnerable to hackers, like free public wi-fi if you want to,secure your online privacy then you can,use my code alpaca to get 83 off an,annual surf shark membership plus three, months free that's right three, additional months for free surfshark, also allows you to use one account with,an unlimited number of devices which is,great if you live in a household or with, roommates like i do and they offer a,30-day money-back guarantee so there is,no risk in trying it out a huge thank, you to surf shark for sponsoring this, project now, let's get back to it also uh,this is the thing now so that's pretty, cool i feel so validated by youtube,if this project sounds familiar that's,because it is this is actually the, costume that goes with the spell book, that i made last november you know the, project that i have been teasing for the, last four months i am really not gonna, let myself live that down apparently for, this project i really wanted to combine, everything i love about medieval fantasy, the autumn season and that spooky witchy, aesthetic so as usual i spent a while, adding inspiration to my pinterest board,i especially got inspiration from renfer, costumes and hobbity clothing and, obviously pulled a lot of themes from my,zodiac so i wanted to incorporate the, imagery of a scale marigolds and fall, colors and of course my birthstone opal,so the main costume consisted of a,colored bodice with a frilly peasant, shirt under it some bracers a layered, sort of piratey high-low skirt thigh, highs and boots and of course because i,can't help myself whenever it comes to,props a witch hat a belt and potions, with some accessories my spell book and,a staff slash broomstick i couldn't,really decide at the time so i tried to,do both we didn't really stick with that, idea thankfully it was already getting, pretty gosh darn elaborate but hey i did,say i wanted this design to be,maximalist didn't i however i got a,little bit,too enthusiastic because,i um,completely neglected to do a colored, version of this design before i started, shopping for materials which uh,if you're a character designer, you'll know,is not good that being said i was just, enjoying myself entirely too much so,immediately the next thing that i did i,went out and i started hitting thrift, stores and, buying materials,ah yes the thrift store during spooky, season what is this accent a place where, you can find apparently,a cat skeleton, what my materials for this project kind,of came from all over the place i tried,to get as many items from the thrift, store as i could especially in terms of,fabric just to be at least a little bit, sustainable with this project but, obviously whenever it comes to crafting, like props and stuff like that you can't,always find everything at the thrift, store so for some items like some of the, foliage that i needed or very specific, fabrics like the felt i ended up using i,ended up buying some of that stuff at,the hobby lobby in the dollar tree just, for lack of any better option but i did, manage to thrift a whole bunch of super, stinking cute fabric to use for my skirt, and my bodice as well as these, absolutely perfect boots i'm actually, wearing the boots right now, this, chef's kiss built and because i did not, feel like making one this peasant shirt, eventually i was taking so long with, buying materials for this project that i,just had to get started on something so,since it wasn't really dependent on the, kind of materials i bought i first got, started with patterning, okay so whenever it came to patterning, technically i needed to draft all the, pieces for this project myself but the, only ones i did hard mockups for were, the hat and the bodice so i purchased, the most neon of poster boards and my,friend's cat decided they were going to,be her resting place for the day, this is an excellent rectangle, unfortunately i did need those so i had,to politely ask her to move, wow so for the hat i used this blog, article as a guide for my patterning, basically i just had to measure the, circumference of my noggin and decide on,a width for the brim diameter and then,to find the diameter of my head i just, divided my head circumference by pie,pie and that was the size of the donut, hole then i just drafted it out,and for the cone part i just had to,decide on a cone height and then grab, half my head diameter to find my head, radius then i had to find the slant, height of the cone using this formula, this part was basically greek to me but, thankfully my calculator knows what it's,doing and then draft it out using my,measuring tape and an anchor point, and then i tried it on and oh baby was, this a big hat i wanted it to be,oversized but the brim was definitely, way too big,so i trimmed it down a bit and that gave,me the look i was going for when it came,to the bodice i loosely based my design,on a corset from the butterick b4 669,pattern so enter the lovely eliana, you're too tall for the shot wrap me up,with one of your french girls for this, bit all you got to do is put a layer of,saran wrap so the duct tape doesn't,stick to your flesh and then do a layer,of tape so that you can draft the, pattern perfectly to your measurements,so i began drawing out my pattern and, willis doing so ellie contributed this, profound statement i know it would be,great right now but some meatballs but i,was soon free from my duct tape prison, and i began working on a fabric mock-up,but i got sick of that pretty quick so i,just started working on the bodice, basically all the fabrics for the bodice, were either thrifted or old scraps i,decided to use this lovely british brown, fabric that was actually a set of,thrifted placemats for the outer layer, and these floral pillowcases for the, lining in the trim having a pattern that,i already knew fit me well really helped, with this process so i just copied my,pattern for the outer pieces onto the, brown fabric making sure to leave seam, allowance cut out all of my panels pin, them together, and sewed and sewed and sewed and sewed,it was already fitting pretty nice so,then i pressed my seams and patterned, two little pieces to go in the front to,reinforce the grommets and lacing, whenever i add them later i probably, should have added a third layer here but,it did the trick then i just repeated, the same cutting pinning and sewing, steps for the lining layer and i also, added a thin layer of interfacing, between the outer and lining layers and,now it was time for the oh so tedious, task of making bias tape out of my,lining material so that i can add trim,to the outer edges of the bodice this, took a while and i hated it but when i,sewed it on the end result looked pretty, nice so i will allow the hours of paint, after attaching the trim we were pretty, much done with the main body of the, bodice but it was at this point that i,realized i completely forgot to draft a,pattern for the caller so i enlisted the, help of my mom to once again cover my,person in tape and i came up with this, fantasy nonsense exquisite then i just, started copying the pattern pieces for,the color onto some faux leather that i,purchased way too much of in high school,in order to make this ridiculous corset,so once i finished drafting and cutting, the outer pieces i repeated the steps, for the lining layer using the same, lining fabric i used for the bodice and,now it was time to assemble everything,so i pinned some dark brown bias tape, around the edges of my inner and outer, layer and sewed them together for the, color pieces that stand up i cut some, five millimeter eva foam and stuck it,inside for some added structure then i,pinned the color onto the shoulder, pieces and sewed them together this was, kind of tricky with all the thick layers, and i had to redo it a few times to make,it clean but thanks to my pattern, whenever i was done everything laid just, right against my back and shoulders, while i was at it i also whipped up some, bracers from an old pattern because, bracers are like the easiest thing ever,to make they're literally just two, trapezoids and yes i did have to google, this shape because i didn't remember, what a trapezoid was fun fact this was, also the project where i learned that, grommets and islets are in actuality not,the same thing at all,i had to go on an internet hunt and, bought some lovely grommets from making,it yourself on etsy so once i got these,we were back in business and ready to,add grommets and cork to the bracers and, bodice for this i just guesstimated, where i wanted the grommets to go and, punched each hole with a hammer and nail, because i don't own it all and then i,widen the holes with a bob ross, chopstick like an insane person, thankfully the executive producer was, there to provide some adult supervision, although unfortunately her lack of,respect for hammer safety seems like it,hasn't changed no no don't get near the, hammer no no,no,can you move really am i gonna have to,call osha and my cat but installing, grommets is super easy you just insert, the tall boy into the fabric from, underneath then you put the donut boy, around the tall boy and give it a good, smack with your hand then you just, repeat that step while binge watching, seinfeld because time does not exist in,the seinfeld universe and that is,comforting to my brain long jagged scars,or,gross deformities major skin grafts, stuff like that and when you're done you, have a snazzy full set of grommets that, are beginning to make your hunk of,fabric look like an actual garment i,would show you the color but the, producer has decided that it is her cat,bed for leaving so this is the best look, you're gonna get for right now so then i,just laced everything up with this, lovely suede cord i got from amazon you, know just to add some texture once i,laced up the bodice it was really coming, together i also added some lacing detail,to the back of the collar piece and, laced the color to the main body of the, bodice and i don't know i just think it,added a lot to the piece it's fantasy, nonsense but i love it even though i was, very nervous about it at first the, bodice came out surprisingly very nice, and flattering for the first bodice that,i've ever made i mean there are some, things that i would do better next time, like i think it probably needed some, like boning channels where the lacing, was because it started to pull and, deform and look a little weird the, longer i wore it but otherwise i love, the collar is it practical no is it,really cold fantasy bs absolutely it is,and i love it why don't we dress like, this anymore society, can we talk but between this and the, bracers i was just having a field date,so far but then uh,that skirt, when it came to the skirt, what's this what the what is that this,is what i gave myself to work with what, what is that that's not a skirt um so,whenever i started working on the skirt,i didn't really have much to work from i,just remember getting back from a lovely, friend camping trip on october 9th which, just so happens to be my birthday and, trying to make sense of this skirt, woolest binge watching seinfeld and, honestly,it is one of the best birthdays i've,ever had you know at first i really had,no idea what i was doing i completely, left this piece open to interpretation, but thankfully my little noggin here did, some good interpreting because the, solution was just to stack three circle, skirts on top of each other and well bam,it kind of turned out super great the, process of making a circle skirt is,super easy it's remarkably close to,drafting the brim of the witch hat you, just grab your waist measurement divide,it by pi to get your waist diameter okay, now i'm really getting hungry and decide,a length for your skirt i wanted this to,be a high-low skirt with three layers so,whenever i was drafting and cutting i,marked one half of the circle a little, longer than the other from there i just, pinned each half of my circles together, and sewed them up for a waistband i,covered some faux leather and the same, fabric as the top skirt then gathered, all three skirt layers to my waistband, sew them together added a nice button, for easy access and voila i had a very, swooshy fantasy nonsense skirt with a,high side slit wow i mean is the design,a little jacked up because i decided it,was a good idea to just have one button,on the side, yeah but is it also incredibly practical, for when you just want to be dramatic, also yes eventually i did do that, colored design, here she is and now that we were done, with most of the sewing mumbo jumbo,oh baby well it was time for the fun, part because it was time to work on the,hat and because i'm me i also added a,cloak to this project the cloak and hat, themselves were also pretty simple, especially thanks to my hat mock-up i,used this felt fabric as the outer layer, for both pieces and the lining layers, were this purple bed sheet and this, gorgeous mermaid fabric that looks a bit, like pearlescent opals so for the hat i,just drafted the mock-up pattern onto my,layers cut them out and added a layer of,eva foam inside the brim for structure,as well as some craft wire and then, pinned the pieces and sewed them, together the hat was so freaking cute so,far and that's coming from someone that, normally looks like this in hats the, cloak was at first equally, straightforward i based my pattern on,this image i found on google it's,admittedly more of a cape than cloak but, basically i just marked the length that,i wanted from an anchor point and how,big i wanted the collar to be cut it out,and did the same for my two lining, layers and if you're thinking wow what a,fun and simple craft that kira couldn't,possibly overcomplicate well you're,wrong baby because i decided i wanted to,put leds inside the lining of the cloak, listen i just i found these super cool, leds on amazon and i just had to do it,as a treat so the main challenge here, was figuring out how to logistically, arrange them so that you can actually, see them when they're in the lining, after much futzing this is the formation, that i settled on then comes the literal, worst part ever hand sewing the lights, onto the lining this, sucked,if you have keen eyes you might even be,able to see drops of my blood from how, many times i stab myself with the needle, anyways after pinning and sewing all, three layers together gosh darn it it,was worth it but we did have just one, little problem so the first blunder has, already been made colors that i chose, for the cloak just aren't really jiving, with the rest of the costume so i'm,having to do some creative problem, solving spray paint lots of spray paint,so we're going to try this out and, hopefully not ruin our fabrics, cloak fabric itself is also not as dark,as i would like it to be so black spray, paint, and now it is time for the tedious task,of hand sewing a bunch of little leaves, onto the bottom of this cloak, eventually it was coming down to the, wire and i was running out of time so i,just turned to my friend, hot glue this part of the project was, actually super memorable and fun because, first of all i didn't have to hand sew, anymore which was super great but also, there is something in me that just finds,it really relaxing to sit around and, arrange foliage onto garments and then, glue them it didn't require a lot of,brain effort from me my hat and cloak, got a variety of ornamentation both lush, and lustrous they were adorned with a,variety of foliage and shiny things that, please my magpie brain including some of,the opals that i painted earlier, flashback, you know how i added lights to the, inside of the cloak i also decided that,i wanted to add leds to the rim of the,hat and to the stack up until now i had, never wired anything in my life which, meant now it was time to watch a freak, ton of tutorials on youtube whoa gremlin, alert ow hey stop that, bed this is what a spoiled baby looks, like, and listen i know that wiring leds is,not hard but i have a lizard brain that, doesn't understand science i dropped a,hot 80 on wiring materials and i regret, nothing as it too pleases the magpie, brain, this process should have been pretty, straightforward i just wanted three, three volt leds running off my three, volt battery simple right things never, are with me i wired one, check that out, yes, wow that is sick so far so good so i,tried to wire the next one in the series, how much solder is a safe about to,inhale what a truth did we do anything, correctly here, and nope, nothing cat sits back all right,no matter what i did, this didn't work i kept on referencing, can we cosplay schematic i tried like, three different times nothing i was, going insane eventually i just asked one,of my instructors at school if he knew, what the problem was and thankfully he,helped me to figure it out all right we,have fixed our problem when you wire in,series you end up only having one volt, going to each led and they need at least, three so this setup was obviously not, going to work instead you've got a wire,in parallel so that you actually have, three volts of energy going to each led,i just wired a few sets of leds oh my,camera just blurred out, censorship you to go inside the brim of,my hat and one to go inside my staff, fish skits, biscuits, biscuits, working on the staff was like so fun, okay,we are at this point in crunch time i,only have,um about three days to finish the entire, project and i haven't really started on,the staff because i just now figured out,my wiring issue it's a whole production,it's a whole thing the base was just a,stick i had sitting in the corner of my,room don't ask me why i had a random, stick in my room that's totally normal,i'm not weird, you're so to get us started i went and, took my handy dandy drill and drilled a,hole down through the center here so,that i can wire some new leds to go,inside the orb i've taken the bottom of,this and melted a hole in it with my,soldering iron so that the wires can go,out the hole this will sort of sit, comfortably on top of it and then we can,go and add our foam clay and warbler, around this i positioned my wires and, attached my leds to the staff with some, warbler and hot glue i diffused the leds, with some of my mermaid fabric glued on,the orb and secured that with more, warbler and i wanted the top of the, staff to look like a libra scale like in,my design so this took a bit of,construction i patterned out a few, pieces and then cut some galvanized wire,in the shape of that and basically, covered that in painter's tape never, gold michael, and you'll never die, since you must feed, and willist doing so the executive, producer found herself right at home on,my rectangles madame has found herself,an excellent rectangle look at that what,a baby anyways i then cut some warbler, pieces so that i can heat them up and,use those to cover my pattern as the, main structure and when i attached the, scale to my staff with some warbler it,was time to begin covering the staff in,phone play this is the first time i've,ever gotten to use foam play this stuff,is like so satisfying look at this stuff,it's so squishy,up until discovering foam clay i didn't,really have a good way to make the, organic shapes that i wanted whenever i,was foam smithing short of using a,dremel and we all know how i feel about, that i cannot emphasize how loud this is,so this stuff was perfect for mimicking, that organic tree root look that i was, going for with this project there's,definitely a learning curve here but the, fact that you can smooth out foam clay, with water helps a lot i don't know i,just really enjoy sculpting, sometimes you just need some adult,play-doh therapy what follows is a brief, construction montage,we hope you enjoyed this brief, construction montage by the end of the, sculpting process it was looking, beautiful i love it i want to make 10,more i only wish i had enough time to,make it even more hyper detailed my,brother and i actually binge watched a,lot of spooky films while i was working,on this project so it was a really good, way to just sit and relax and do some, tinkering and enjoy my spooky season, because i feel like it always goes by so,quick every year and this year i,actually got to enjoy it a lot so it was, really nice, but i was also really really really, stressed out because i had like two, weeks left until halloween at this point,so it was time to put the pedal to the, metal and you know get some stuff done, whenever it came to the belt the holster, the potions i definitely had to do all, this super last minute for the holster,my design was based off of this one that,i found on pinterest because i thought,it was just super cute making it just, consisted of drafting the pieces onto, foam using my potion bottles as a guide, cutting everything out and then, assembling all of my little strips using, rivets the end result is entirely too, adorable and i want to wear it all the, time for the potions i really wanted to,bring something with leds or maybe make, them out of mica powder but i totally, ran out of time so i basically just, ended up taking some spare fabric from, the lining from my cloak and just cut it,up and stuck it in there for a very, simple solution i still think it came, out looking pretty cool while on,finishing touches i sewed buckles onto,my bodice and cloaked so that they can, attach to each other and i also added, this pocket inside my cloak lining for,the battery pack i'm hoping that at some, point maybe i can revisit some of the, prop pieces for this project and kind of,rethink them and give them new life, especially if i wear this at a,convention at some point, last date baby so between manically, decorating and brewing a sasquatch sized, pot of chili i would periodically go,down to my basement to spray layers of,paint painting and weathering are, normally my favorite steps of a project, because it's when things really come, together and look recognizable, unfortunately here i just had to be,really quick about it but i did try to,do as much as i could with just the, color scheme i did layers of metallic, gold followed by brown and then, different shades of lavender to try to,match the other purples in the costume, the paint job on the holster on the, other hand totally sucked it's the only, store that's not a half hour from my,house but never buy dollar general paint,it's about as effective as milk i really, should have also primed everything with,plasti-dip but i was out of a budget by,the end here i did seal everything with, this fancy stuff though i ended up,assembling my potion holster and adding, the scales to my staff while sitting on,the floor in costume at my party but hey,at least we got it done and after a week,of going to spooky events almost every, night i swear i probably wore this, costume like five nights in a row i,definitely got my money's worth out of,it my friend shilo and i went to my,favorite park to grab some footage and,do a photo shoot for the costumes, because she also made a witch costume, during the month of october so that, means that it is time for both reveals,hi there and welcome to the end of the, video i hope you guys enjoyed watching,me do something pretty different but not,too different this week i've honestly, been wanting to get into like cause, tubing content or whatever you want to,call it for like a really long time now,it's just very time consuming and also, quite expensive so even though it is,something that i really want to kind of,start mixing into my regular content i,don't know how attainable that goal is,at least for the near future but it is a,long-term goal so let me know if you, would like to see more of this content, because i'm just gonna make it anyways, but if you say that you want to see it i,will be slightly more confident in all,the money i'm spending on fabric thank, you so much for watching till the end of,the video i know that this was probably,a bit of a long one knowing editing kira,i appreciate your support so much but if,you do want to support me even more you,can like comment subscribe and turn on,notifications you know,do those youtube things i forgot to,record this earlier but remember to,check out surfsharkvpn and you can use, codealpaca to get 83 off an annual, membership plus three months free,it's free,it is free thank you so much surf shark, now back to me but now if you'll excuse,me i i do have to go i am very busy i,have to go and impulsively dive into, yet another sewing project there may or,may not be spoilers on my pinterest so,internet salutes consider this a,challenge okay,i'm very tired so bye,you

DIY Halloween Witch's Cauldron

DIY Halloween Witch's Cauldron

hey everyone welcome back to bruffington,i'm tara and today we're making, witches cauldrons, first of all i got this idea from, another youtube channel uh who did, this with their witches cauldron for, their halloween display i'll put the, link to their video in the description, okay so the first thing you're gonna, need,is a plastic witch's cauldron i got mine,at party city,it was like 20 i got like a big jumbo, size but you can do this really for any, size to make this look a little bit, used and kind of crusty i added oatmeal, with mod podge and just kind of put it,all over the cauldron i put some on the,lip of it and i kind of put them in,little, pointed trails coming out of the, cauldron so it looked kind of like maybe, something an old potion had boiled over, the edges but yeah i did that first, put on the side let it i let it dry, completely for like a day,and then i did another coat of mod podge,on top just to make sure it was sealed,in there really good,i haven't had any trouble with isn't it,the next thing you're going to want to,do is paint over the oatmeal,i used a charcoal colored chalk paint to,give it a little bit of a matte,a matted color not too glossy so you, just spray paint over that, and you're good to go the next part is,painting it i started with the handles i,painted them a,coppery metallic color, and then to make the cauldron look kind,of like coppery and rusty, and old you just kind of have brown and, black and you do,just kind of splot big splotches of each, color um,and all over your cauldron so i would do,a big splotch of black all over and then, right next to it i would do,um a a big splotch of brown, and then in the end i actually went over, the browns with,a kind of like a rose gold coppery one,on top of the brown so initially i don't,even know if i really needed the brown,at first,so that might have been pointless but it,was a good start,so just do that and honestly with paint,if you mess up you can always paint over,it so,seriously don't worry about it just slap, some paint on there and it's gonna look, awesome,so after i did the copper and the black,i wanted to give,my boiled over potion some more color so,i did a green mix with some black, and i kind of watered it down just a,little bit i did that all over and then,i realized it was too dark once it dried,so i went back over it with,a not so dark green and i,love how it turned out i kind of just, followed where my oatmeal, streaks were i love it at first i was a,little scared because i loved how,my antiqued cauldron ended up um i,didn't want to mess it up with the green, but,i really think it adds a lot of,character and storytelling to your, cauldron, the next thing you're going to want to,do is figure out how you want,to have the water in like a water tray,in your cauldron,i don't think you want to fill the, entire thing with water that would be a,lot unless you have a smaller cauldron, maybe that's,what you can do but for me i wanted to,make a shallow tray, along the top of the cauldron to put my,water in and my misters in so what i did,i went to my local hardware store ace, hardware and i tried to just, find i also just like searched all over,my house for things i could use to build, this, and kind of just like jimmy rig it so i,found,a planter tray like you put underneath, your, pots where your plants are and i,actually had another, actual planter in my basement that i,wasn't using so i flipped it upside down, and i put that in the bottom of my,cauldron and then i put,the tray on top i also put the entire, tray you could just paint it,black like i could have just spray, painted it but i decided to go with the, plastic bag approach,i put the tray in a plastic black, garbage bag a big one and i duct taped, with black duct tape, all around the edge of the cauldron i,duct taped the bag,to the cauldron directly this has worked, really well it took me a couple tries,i had a couple holes initially and so i,had to take it all off and redo it,but in the end it's worked really well,i've had it outside, for quite a few days now with quite a,few rainstorms that we've had,too and so it's it's held it's worked, really well i will say try and make sure,it's,level because if it's if it tilts a,little bit then your water is just gonna, look weird inside it won't be level,oh yeah don't forget to as you're taping,it make sure your bag,is able to lay completely loose and flat,on the bottom of your tray,if it ends up getting pulled too tight i,think this is where i messed up,in my first run around is that when you,put water in it it's going to weigh it,down, and pull your tape off of the sides of,your cauldron so just make sure, that as you're taping all the way around, that it's,there's a lot of slack in the bag inside,of your tray so that it doesn't pull, when it's full of water i got these, misters on amazon they're awesome,a lot of people it doesn't make like, always the biggest, mist which i wish it would just like be,super misty all the time, kind of like what dry ice does and, everyone's like you should just use dry, ice, but the thing with dry ice is that you, have to keep feeding it dry eyes i,wanted to just turn it on or turn off, whenever i,wanted it on uh and so that's been the, best part about having them misters is,that i can it's just always there i,don't have to replenish it with anything,it's awesome except water you have to,keep putting water in it before you tape,it all the way around, you have to get your misters in your, bucket and know, how where your cords are going so what i,did was i fed the cords, down the side of my tray down through, the cauldron and i drilled a hole, through the bottom of the cauldron my,cords fit right through it,it worked great and so then as i taped, the black, trash bag and my tray in all the way, around i taped over those cords,or i just taped them so that they didn't,go over the edge they went, you know through like up above the tray, below the lip,and down through the cauldron it's,worked really great i,i like how it turned out just make sure, you know where your, electrical cords are going because you, don't want, you know your cords just hanging over, the sides that'll just mess up your, whole, the mood of the whole cauldron so you, also need to think about where you want, your cauldron to be,if it's sitting on the floor that's,great you don't need to make a teepee or,anything but we,i wanted it to be hanging so we made a,teepee out of sticks,it was really easy look up on youtube, how to,make a tp how to latch the tops together,so you just pull them apart and they're,all set,it was super great, and then i kind of just had to figure, out how i was going to hang my cauldron,we ended up drilling holes in the sides, looping some rope through it and tying,it up and then just working with it to,figure out, when the cauldron would be level with, you know our different ropes so we ended,up,figuring that out tying it off and, hanging it with,a carabiner from some looped ropes, from the top of our teepee it's worked, really great it took a couple of tries, but we finally figured it out,and it's been sitting outside for days, not a problem you want to make a little, fire put under your cauldron i think,it is it's turned out so cool and it's,seriously the easiest thing ever all, you're gonna need is,some spray foam insulation some orange,or red uh lights um we use those, incandescent twinkle lights and some, black or grey spray paint and some red, spray paint i think that's all we used,so you just lay the lights down on the, floor, spray the foam on top it's super cool, you'll use probably your whole can i use,my whole hand, and sorry to hear a baby he's over here, having a snack we kind of realized if,you do too many swirlies like in one, spot it kind of looks like dog poop so,watch out for the swirlies even still it,turned out great,so you do the spray foam and then you, spray it gray and black, gray or black on top you want to not, spray too much or else your light lights, won't shine through so turn your lights,on before you spray,um see how you like it and then kind of,spray it,little splotches of black and red we did, mostly black, with you know quite a few little, swatches of bread in between,i just love how it looks especially at,night i think it just, looks like a real pit of fire it's,amazing, and then we put little rocks along the, outside of the coals, and so it looks just really cool i love, how it turned out just know where your, cords are going to go and how you're,going to be getting, power to your fire and your cauldron i,think that's it i also put a spotlight,on top of the teepee to shine down on,the cauldron which i think adds,a lot i think it makes it look really, cool also sometimes i will add, food dye into the water so that it kind,of muddies the water so you can't see, straight through to the misters, guys i love how this cauldron turned out,i was a little worried at certain points, along the way but in the end it turned, out so good,it is a huge uh wow factor in my,halloween display this year i hope you, like this tutorial i hope it helps you, out,i'll list all the things that i used in,the description uh make sure you check, out my instagram at tarabruff to,see my full halloween display it is it,turned out so great,i'm gonna do another video of my whole, display soon, and i hope you guys have a wonderful, halloween we'll see you next time, bye, what do you think brady, huh what do you think, you eating some cereal, say hi hi

Halloween Crafts Last Minute Halloween Costume No Sew Witch's Tutu

Halloween Crafts Last Minute Halloween Costume No Sew Witch's Tutu

hi welcome to this halloween special, today i'm going to show you how to make, this super easy which is tutu, made out of black bin liners so it's,something that you can make really, quickly and easily just before you go,out trick-or-treating,here we go so come with me and i'll show, you how to make it,right what you will need is,a,ribbon of some sort it can be string if,you don't have ribbon you will need most, importantly black bin liners four for an,adult two for a child, and then some additional plastic bags in,different colors if you want, now the key thing is is the black bin, liner now the really clever thing is,don't unravel it leave it the way it is,because if you cut like so,you get really nice long strips in one, quick go so i'm going to show you how to,do three because it's a very repetitive, craft so you don't really need me to see,me cut up four bin liners and not four, bin liners so you've got your bin liners, open them up,and you've got a loop, like so,and open all four, that will fall all three there we go,now i'm going to get my ribbon make sure, that this fits around your waist and has, enough space to be tied so this would be,a children's one because it's a little, bit smaller, what you will need to do is you get,top bit of your loop and you pop it,under, then you take the other piece, the other end,and you pull it,through, like so so you see you've got that kind,of looped shape i'm going to hold that, and tighten it now don't tighten it too, much because if you tighten it too much,it will really squeeze your skirt and,you will need six or even eight sets of,bin liners and it's a bit boring to have,to do that mainly,so,do that better so again did you see the, loop, take the other end,and push it through, and again if you hold this,it's easier,to pull it through like so,push it along, like so and then repeat, now this is quite a long skirt i,actually made it with a view to cut it,down for my daughter so about just below, her knee but she really liked it long so,we decided to leave it long which is,fine, and you can if you want once you're done, either cut it or you can cut open the, loops or you can leave the loops it's,really a matter of preference we've,decided to leave the loops and not to,cut it so once you've got,you know enough of your full skirt then, you can take another color, you cut off the handles because they're,in your way,not much use, like so and then you cut strips, along the top of your bag, like so,it doesn't matter if it's a bit, frigid you know messy but you know if it,does bother you you can just trim it off, like so,and also i don't think it matters if,there's any writing on the bag i think,it kind of adds to that sort of,rust sticky look and then you do the, same but you go in between your black, ones, like so again a loop take the other end,and pull it through, and then on my daughters i did about, every six,i did a colored one so you can see here,i've roughly spaced them all out and, there you have your, bin bag tutu and it's really easy really, cheap and a great last minute fancy, dress wear it with black or purple or,stripy tights and have fun happy, halloween

DIY Halloween Props - Bubbling Witch's Cauldron with Glowing Coals

DIY Halloween Props - Bubbling Witch's Cauldron with Glowing Coals

I''m Jaimie...and i'm jay and today we're going to show you a plastic cauldron, from the Halloween store dress it up with some paint and special effects and,we can turn it into a way more awesome prop witch's cauldron is kind of like a,classic Halloween decoration you see it a lot in the Halloween stores and a lot,of people do props like this we wanted to give it a try because we've never, done this one this project has a ton of parts we're going to paint the cauldron,we're going to build the teepee we're gonna hang the cauldron from the teepee,we're gonna fill the fire and then we're gonna do some light and smoke effects to,the fire and the cauldron and the teepee so there's a ton of things if you're,following along don't feel like you have to do all of the parts and any one or,two or several will still make a really awesome profit none of these steps are, hard at all they're all super easy but there are a lot of them so let's get, started so the witch's cauldron prop that we're using is a super common thing, that you can get it basically any Halloween store luckily though it has a,kind of a cool sculpt it's got handles on the side and it's got some cool, details the first step we did in painting it was to give it a base coat, with a black hammered spray paint when we painted it with the spray paint it,didn't look any different at all and it kind of seemed like a waste of time but, when we got to the detailed paint because we had that layer of primer on,there it helps them stick and it made it work really well you're better off just, doing like a flat black cheap spray paint coat rather than the other fancy, hammered stuff since it didn't help at all so to make it look like it had, bubbled over and leaked over the edges we took some oatmeal and some much Podge, which is like a craft glue mix them together and dab Daman it didn't work, right away this is one of those things we found on the internet that was like,oh it's so easy just put oatmeal in the thing and basically it like wouldn't,stick at all and it was falling all over the place you needed to get the ratio, right there needed to be enough glue less oatmeal so we eventually got it to,stick we use kind of a drip pattern so it was,in like these which worked out better than kind of just sporadic oatmeal, everywhere sporadic oatmeal so once all the oatmeal, was on there we had to let the Mod Podge dry which takes two hours or so yeah, and then we put one more layer of just Mod Podge over everything just to secure,it make sure it wasn't gonna fall off we didn't want like squirrel smelling it,getting all moldy in the rain our squirrels gonna eat our which is,quite rare hope squirrels don't eat our videos guys I did not consider that, covered in delicious oatmeal so once everything was dry the next step was, painting it the effect we're going for here was a rusty look the way you paint, rest is you alternate big splotchy areas of brown and black use just one brush, two different paints on the thing and you use like a light tapping motion, twisting your brush as you go and eventually it starts to look like rest, and then you take your orange or in our case copper and you do die little dabs,of highlights all around and that makes extra rustiness if you're worried about, not being able to like paint perfect rest don't be worried about it don't be,afraid of paint you don't always paint over it that's the great thing about, paint you just if you don't like it you do it again the final step in the, painting was to take all of those little chunks of oatmeal and kind of paint them, green and just get some really interesting details on there this is,supposed to represent like a witch's brew that's filled with brains and frogs, yeah that's where the green comes from,I'd say all in we probably spent about two hours painting this thing and we,were pretty happy with how it looked and yet,we're gonna make the teepee for the cult the he's got a teepee we have no idea, what the thing the triangles teepee looking thing that you use to hold the, cauldron is called anyway we've made it out of bamboo which is nice because it's,light and it's super strong they do that you take two sticks and put them, parallel to each other and take your third stick put it between the two, sticks and that's perpendicular to the other two sticks then you tie a knot, around that one stick and then you wrap it around a few times and then you tie,it off and you prop it up so once everything's tied up you basically just, kind of rise it up and then pull the legs apart and it holds at the top and, once it was up we wrapped some more twine kind of around the top just to,give it a little more cool look we also took some paint and just kind of,randomly like spread some paint around the bamboo is a great choice because,it's very strong but it was very like clean looking so we wanted to give it a,little character hang the cauldron we're using this chain,we got at the hardware store I think it's usually used for like hanging lamps, and stuff the only problem we had with the chain is that it looked too brand, new so we just hit it with a little bit of that spray paint that we used before, and it just gave it like a kind of a little older look once the chain was, painted we cut it into three sections there are about three feet long each, then we drilled some holes in the sides of the cauldron and opened up the chain, and attached them and then attached them all at the top we actually drill those, holes before we painted it which you probably notice but just you know roll, with it since we're not gonna be putting a whole lot of weight in the cauldron we,weren't worried about reinforcing where the chain is attached to it yeah these, techniques are specifically aimed at you know not having this thing be very heavy, and that's why this works if you are gonna put something super heavy in the, cauldron you're probably gonna want to do a different technique to attach the, chain the cauldron is gonna be hanging so we thought it'll be cool for, underneath it for there to be like a fire or like some hot coals that were, heating up whatever is brewing inside we experimented with a whole bunch of,techniques to make fire but what we ended up with was the tried-and-true,technique of using X spray foam and some orange tree place, the spray foam is a really great way to create like a pile of coals kind of,around the ground and then the lights were actually embedded inside the spray, foam and it doesn't harm them they still work really well and as long as you, don't pile it up too high you can see the lights really brightly through the, foam it took a few hours for the spray foam to set and then it was ready for, paint the first thing we did was a wash we,were hoping that the wash would give it a nice gray look and then also fill in,the cracks and I've worked in filling in all the cracks but it didn't stick it,all to the foam so there's there was no greatness there you could totally skip, that step it was worthless it didn't help at all,the effect we're going for is a pile of burning embers so to do that we're going,to use some red and black and gray spray paint now during the nighttime when it's,all lit up it doesn't really matter what the paint looks like but during the day,it kind of matters you still want it to look like it's a pile of ashes we,weren't too worried about this we just sort of randomly put paint on until we,thought it looked good you just don't want to put too much paint on because if,you do too heavy of a coat it may block some of the light shining through we,wanted the cauldron to have like a bubbling kind of witches brew thing, going on whether it's like something brewing in there and it's kind of,spilling out over the sides so we needed some fog inside so to make the fog we're,gonna use these super cool little technology things that make fog it's an,ultra side fogger and the way it works is by you it vibrates with an ultrasonic, frequency breaking up the water into millions of little droplets and then it,sprays those droplets into the air as a thick fog it's actually really really, cool and what's nice about these is you can plug them in and they use very, little power and they just run forever and just keep making fog.,Since the cauldron is gonna be hanging we don't want it to weigh a million, pounds so we can't fill the whole thing with water. Luckily, these little guys, only need about couple inches of water so we're gonna do is build a platform, put that inside the cauldron and then put a bowl on the top that this little, guy can sit in we're trying to keep the weight of the cauldron as low as,possible since it's gonna be hanging so to build our little platform we used a,piece of foam for the tabletop now you don't have to use foam you could use, plywood and work just as well and probably be cheaper but we,didn't have I would and we had foam so well it was we cut out a circle because,it's circular and we also for the legs of the table used some poplar dowels, which happen to be cut-offs from our particular triangle project to attach, the legs to the tabletop we tried to drill some holes for the dowels in the, foam that was kind of a disaster it really didn't work that well at all so,basically we sort of stuck him in place made sure they were level and then used, some hot glue to attach them everything worked really well and the table fit in,there perfectly we got really lucky and just happened to have this round dish, thing that almost fit perfectly inside the cauldron so he duct-taped the to,handle holes to make it more solid and then we put a couple layers of trash, bags inside to help it hold water then we use duct tape around the edges to,secure the trash bags in place we basically created a miniature swimming, pool when we put the table in and then put the little dish on top of it it fit, really well but there was a slight gap around the outside and the fog from the, water was kind of going into the gap and kind of messing it up a little so what,we decided to do was take some black duct tape and just ride it around the,rim and it kind of guides the fog up out and over the edges to hang the cauldron,we basically just took that chain from before we attached it to the rim and, then we hooked it onto the twine at the top of our teepee thing, for the finishing touch we took an outdoor light attached it to the top of,our teepee pyramid thing and pointed it down at the fog to give the fog a really, cool eerie glow this build was super fun there was a lot of individual components, and each one had its own challenges and kind of things we had to figure out, which is the best part of making stuff but we're super happy with how it came,up yeah in the end it was totally worth it,remember that if you liked the video you can support us by hitting the like, button subscribing to the channel and sharing it with all your friends so if,if everything if they're the caller one's gonna be happy to call a remote

DIY LAST MINUTE HALLOWEEN COSTUME IDEAS! AD

DIY LAST MINUTE HALLOWEEN COSTUME IDEAS! AD

I love everyone welcome back to my,channel so for today's video as you can,see by the title I have quite an,exciting one for you guys today so in,today's video I'm gonna show you guys, how to create three a different DIY,last-minute Halloween costume before, this video I've basically been, challenged by aster for their home for,all things Haunted campaign and I'm so,excited to be working with them and, aster has such an amazing selection for,Halloween things they've got the, costumes they've got decorations and, even treats and snacks,so they've basically got everything you, ever need under one roof well I,basically gone into a stir and picked up,a bunch of goodies which I'm really, excited to show you guys how you can, upcycle them and kind of turn them into, your own bespoke costume as well as,those I'm also gonna be using as some, things that you might already own in,your wardrobe which makes it so cool, because you can just transform like an,old dress into a Halloween costume and,you know you can save some dollar, dollars so that's great but anyways, without further rambling let's get on,into the video for the first DIY we're,gonna be revamping a witch's hat which I,got for 50p with this a really cool, black garland this was actually in the, decoration section but it looks so cool, that you could obviously use it as a,part of a costume rather than just a,decoration so once you've measured out,the length around the circumference of,your witch's hat what you wanna do is,cut off the end and then start gluing, this to the base of the Hat when using a,hot glue gun make sure to read and, follow all of the safety instructions, beforehand and children should only use,one under close supervision of an adult, but if you guys don't have a glue gun,you can also use a super glue, once the garland is stuck firmly to the,Hat I'm taking a spray paint that's gold, and I'm just basically going to spray, this over the leaves to give it some, texture and also some dimension I feel, like it was very black and solid so you, couldn't really see much of the leaves, and I thought this will just bring it to,life and add it that extra layer of,detail I'm then gonna take my witch's,hat off to the side and let that dry for,a little bit and I'm gonna take some, plastic black spiders and I'm also going,to you a spray paint those gold,I feel like this just makes them look a,little bit more visible on the hat once, they're dry I'm then taking my hot glue, gun once again and I'm sticking those, little spiders onto the top of the hat,in random places,I feel like this just makes the Hat look,so much more expensive and really, bespoke and the fact that you can take, such an affordable witch's hat which was, only 50 P and turn it into this is,pretty impressive now for my dress I'm,taking an older black dress that I,already had in my wardrobe which I,haven't really worn much and I decided,to return this into my witch's costume, the first thing I'm doing is I'm just, cutting the very bottom of the dress to,make it look really ripped and you know,a bit more scary I'm just cutting in,these long triangles of fabric at the, very bottom I feel like a lot of,store-bought costumes also do this so,we're just gonna replicate that on our,own dress, again I'm doing this step to the sleeves,of the dress as wow it just to make it,look a little bit more ripped and a,little bit more scary this step is of,course optional but I feel like it just, adds a little bit of something to the, dress I'm just taking the gold spray, paint and I'm just spraying that around,at the ripped parts of the dress and, also the neckline just to create a,slight ombre effect and I feel like this, links in really well with the hat that,we previously di wide once your dress is,dry you can pop it on and I'm actually, taking at this a spidery sort of layer,of fabric that's quite sheer and I'm,just wrapping this around the waist of,my dress to create an illusion of more, layers to the dress next up for makeup,I'm using the monstrous makeup set from,Asda and I'm just gonna be taking the, green face paint and just covering my,whole face and neck with this this, makeup set does come with some sponges, that you can use but I'm just going, ahead and using a my trusty or Beauty,Blender once the green is on my face I'm,then taking the white creme face paint, which is actually really really nice and, texture and I'm just applying that under,my eyes and my forehead just to add some, dimension back into my face and then, taking the black lipstick and just, applying that to my lips and also, reaching for a black eyeshadow and just, applying that kind of messily which you,can then and blend out into at the green,to add a smoky effect to it the next, thing I'm doing is I'm just applying, some black eyeshadow into my brows, because we are gonna be wearing a black, wig and I'm just making them look a,little bit thicker as well and lastly,I'm taking the black face paint from the,set and I'm just drawing on two little, spiders on my face I felt like this just, completes the look you can also take, some white face paint and add some, subtle highlights to the spiders to make, them look a little bit more,3-dimensional next up it's wig time so I,got this one from Asda for four pounds,it's really really long and black and it,looks very messy so that's perfect for a,witch so I'm just gonna brush this out,and kind of backcomb it a little bit as,well and then I'm adding my witch's hat, that we di white earlier and this is the, finished look of course if you guys want,to go to town you can also apply the, green face paint to your arms and legs, but I just applied it to my face and, neck area to show you guys the idea, for the next DIY you're gonna need some, orange yarn which is super inexpensive, and the first thing you want to do is,kind of just wrap it around your hand, you want to keep going and you probably, want to wrap it around about 200 times, which seems a bit excessive but you guys, are gonna see in the end why you need to,do that once you feel like you have, enough thickness you can cut off the, excess yarn place it on the table you, then just want to cut off another, roughly 15 centimeters of yarn and just, wrap this around into a tight knot as,you can see once you tie it off it kind,of starts to look a little bit like a,pumpkin right so then you want to take a,green pipe wire and just place that in,the middle and then tighten this up with, the excess yarn into a knot once the, pipe wire is tied in place you wanna, then a bend it upwards and basically, start twisting it around each other this,is supposed to be the stalk of your, pumpkin so you can cut off the excess, yarn if you like and this is the, finished thing it's a little yarn, pumpkin which is so cute and really easy,to make once you've mastered making one,of these you can make a couple more and, start hot gluing them onto a headband to,make a bespoke a pumpkin headband again,if you don't have any hot glue you can, also use some super glue and pretty sure, that will work as well but I just find, that hot glue is the easiest and, quickest way to achieve something like, this and this is it this is the finished, pumpkin headband now let's move on to,the pumpkin sure so the costume is again, super simple and easy to make all you, need is an orange colored top or t-shirt,anything that you might already have in,your wardrobe and then just taking some, black foam and I'm sketching out the, outline of some pumpkin carved eyes and, also a mouth if you're not very good, artist you can obviously use a stencil, off the internet I was just looking at,one of the pumpkin decorations that I,already have in my room and I'm just, drawing out some triangles and just, basically popping them into place once,I've done that I'm then just taking, another piece of black foam and I'm just, drawing out the mouth portion of the, pumpkin and then cutting that out and, popping it into place once again you, guys know I don't really do sewing so,I'm just taking my trusty hot glue gun, once again and I'm just gluing this onto, the top of the t-shirt when you're doing, this and just be careful that the two, layers of fabric the front and the back,of the shirt, glue together because that would be a,disaster and this is the finished jumper,it's so easy to do now we can move on to,a makeup to really complete this,last-minute Halloween look so I'm just, taking the orange cream face paint and,I'm just applying that all over my face, with a Beauty Blender and then taking a,brown eyeshadow and I'm starting to draw, out some vertical lines across my face,if you look at the pumpkin behind me you,can kind of see what I'm trying to,recreate that just kind of like ridges,of the pumpkin I'm then taking a white, face paint and I'm just creating some, highlights in between those lines to,kind of you know add a little bit of,highlight to the pumpkin and then I'm,moving straight on to the black so I'm,just creating the carved out black eyes, and also the nose and mouth again if,you're struggling with this you can, obviously look at an image off the, internet as a reference for the map I'm,just creating a long line down the side,of my cheek and just drawing little, lines attached to that line I really, hope that makes sense and lastly to,complete this look I'm taking my,Halloween earring set from Asda and I'm,taking the little pumpkin earrings and, just popping them in my ears and I feel, like it definitely completes the look, and this is the finished costume I love, how easy it is to recreate this look and, also create the costume so if you have,no idea what to be and you still haven't,got your costume and this will be the, perfect thing to be now for the last, year why we're creating a zombie bride, costume so I'm just taking this old a,baby doll a dress that I have laying, around in my cupboard and again what I'm,doing is I'm just cutting the triangle, kind of frayed effect to the sleeves I,feel like doing this tiny step just, transforms any piece of clothing to make,a look a little bit more Halloween, appropriate and then taking some white, lace and placing this over the seam of,the dress at the top and then just, cutting this into place and then hot, gluing this down onto the dress to make, sure it stays in place I got this lace, from my local craft store so I'm sure, you guys can find something similar to,it once that's glued into place I'm,taking another piece of lace this is in,a slightly different style and I'm just, running this along the neckline of the, dress and then again hot gluing this, into place I feel like adding a slight, lace to it just makes it look a little, bit more creepy a little bit more,Victorian and aged, and then I'm just taking my scissors and, just cutting a bunch of holes into the, dress to make it look a little bit more, distressed and old once I'm done with, distressing the top part of the dress,I'm then heading down to the bottom part, and I'm starting to basically just cut,and distress the very bottom of the, dress I feel like again this will just, make it look a little bit more Halloween, appropriate it makes it look a little, bit more torn and creepy and now to,really finish off the dress I'm taking, some red fake blood spray and this is,perfect for clothes it's totally safe to,use on clothes so I'm just taking that, and spritzing that all over the dress to,make it look really really creepy now to,accessorize this dress I've just got, this little blood choker from Asda which,I think just really completes the look, and then I'm just taking some white, facepaint for the makeup this is a super, simple makeup we just want to make, ourselves look really dead and ghostly,I'm then taking the red lipstick from, the makeup care and just applying that, all over the lip and lastly I'm just, taking some brown eyeshadow on a big, blending brush and just going all around,my eyes to make myself look really tired, and deadly, now to complete the costume I'm just, taking some blood tights from Asda now,you can also add a wig so I'm just going, for this haunted and beauty wig which, looks really creepy it kind of looks, like a spiderweb and I just added that, and I feel like it definitely completes, the whole look,so those were my three Halloween, costumes for last-minute that you guys, can deal the white at home I honestly, love this video so much and thank you so,much too as deferred sponsoring this, video as well I had so much fun, upcycling some things that I already own,but also kind of taking some accessories, from they're super affordable range and, just you know making something really, cool out of it thing I love about,Halloween is that you can be so,imaginative with your costume and it's,the one chance in a whole year that you,can be anything you want in case you, guys want to recreate these DIYs and, pick up the things that I used in this, video I will have all of the links down, below to all of the Asda products that I,use some of these products are only, available at selected stores so if you, guys can't find them in your local one,you can also shop online let me know, down below which one of these costumes, was it your favorite I SIMPLE WITCH MAKEUP (HALLOWEEN) 🔮

SIMPLE WITCH MAKEUP (HALLOWEEN) 🔮

hi everyone welcome back to my channel,if you don't know me my name is kitten, small but anyway, welcome and today i'm going to be doing, like an easy witch tutorial, and i've got my little witch hat here, just in time for halloween i'm going to,try and post more on my youtube like, tutorials wise step by steps how to do,certain steps and stuff like that if you, have any suggestions drop them in the, comments below i don't want to do,something too hard like my big corpse, bridle because that will honestly take, more than 10 minutes for youtube video, but anyway for this all you need is just, the basic products, maybe a face paint or a little black, eyeliner pencil this isn't going to be,too much it's more like,on the glam side but this is just an,easy do-it-yourself last-minute,halloween tutorial really so if you want,to find out how to create, this switch look then just keep on,watching, all right i'm going to put my little, primark headband in and we're ready to,start,so first i'm going to start off with my,eyes and i'm just going to take the, pillowy space in rumor o2,and this pillowy's brush i don't think,it has a name, and i'm just gonna start patting that, all over my lid,i'm gonna carve it out around the brows, also i didn't do my brows on camera, just purely for the fact everyone does, them different anyway just pattern that,i love my lid to set it,and then obviously once the shadows go,over everything will look great, also as you can see that i've done make, sure you blend it up here and blend it,here, just so when you blend it in your, foundation everything's seamless and, there's no like harsh lines from where,it's not connected,so now for the eyes not gonna lie i'm,probably gonna take like, multiple palettes just for the shades,i'm using so first i'm gonna take the, morphe hit the lights palette and i'm,just gonna use the black shade down here, and for a witch look just to match my,hat too i'm feeling like a black and an,orange maybe in a bit of a yellow,so i'm just packing that in the crease, and i'm gonna do a backwards blend, obviously this is probably the best way,to do your eyeshadow, bring it a bit out here just because,we're gonna create like a winged out, shape,so now i'm just taking these two orange, shades from the peel aways palette,i'm just taking a revolution brush and,i'm just gonna go like,50 50 over the top and then like on it,and just try blending that out, just gonna keep blending that out up,towards the brow bone, obviously there is still a split color, there what i'm thinking i'm gonna do is,take an extra transition shade maybe a,brown we're not gonna put nothing on the,lid so it's all just, simple simple blends no cut crease no,nothing,so i'm gonna put a third color on my eye,and i'm gonna go in with like an orange, base brown,so i'm gonna go in with the shade, obsession from the pillars palette and, just start packing that in my crease,i have already done it on the other eye,so you can see how it turns out, this is just to act as a transition, shade to blend between those two colors, also if you need to go back in with the, black don't put anything on the brush to,take the brush you used to pack it on,with, and just start buffing that and then, because it's looking a little dark just, take the orange brush again, and then just add a little bit of orange,to the brush and then just, blend it out so this is the eye look, done it's giving me very like art and, vibes too, like very nice and brown orange leaves,it reminds me of,but yeah i'm gonna grab some lashes and, mascara you feel free to do whatever you, want so obviously whatever comes up will, score down,so i'm just gonna do my under eye, obviously don't worry about this if you, don't want to do it because it's not a,massive step,a lot of people do love just a nude, under eye and that's about,it but i just thought i'd add some just,to finish the eye look off,i'm sorry if you can hear the rain, outside it's a really bad, rainy day day and it's bouncing off my,window it's such a nightmare, but yeah that's what you can probably, hear so there's that done and we're,going to move on to the base so now for,the base and i'm just going to start off,by,moisturizing my skin obviously i do have, dry skin, this stuff just depends on what skin you, really have so you could just use like a,mattifying primer depending on whether, you have like dry oily skin, but yeah that's totally down to your own, skin type,so next is foundation i'm going to take, the collection lasting perfection, foundation in the shade cashew six and,i'm just gonna take like a flat top, brush,i have washed it it just it's stained, and i'm fuming i actually am,just going to start buffing that all, over my skin obviously it does look a,bit yellow but once i blend it down to,my neck, like it matches perfectly obviously, always, make sure you blend down to your neck, just because you don't want a different, line from your face and your neck and,it'll look a bit weird i also want to do,the same thing your hairline and like, your ear here, now concealer i'm going to take the, collection concealer in the shade extra, fare for,and i'm just going to put that on a high, point in my face, and now i'm just going to use a fluffy, blending brush and blend that out,i've only used this concealer like twice, but to be fair it's pretty easy to blend, out then blend my under eyes out,as you can tell i'm just like patting it,and buffing it,now i'm just bronzing my face using the, revolution mega bronzer,i'm just bronzing the usual places like,my cheekbones my forehead,a bit in my jar my nose, now for blush and i'm gonna match my,blush to my eyes that's what i'm feeling, right now,so i'm going to take this orange blush, shade from the revolution palette i,don't know why i'm using this brush i,never do but hey how we may as well, and then i'm just going to put that all, over my cheeks, and i'm going to also bring it back too, honestly i always love to put so much, brush on so,if you want to go like feel free but, obviously i am like hamming it on like, proper,so now the last glam step really i'm,just going to add some highlighter to,the tops of my face, and for this i'm just using a middle, highlighter and a superdrug brush, like look how blonde and that is,if you're starting off with makeup i'd,really recommend this palette or even if,you do like clients or anything because,it's got like seven highlighter shades,in,so it's pretty handy to be fair and i'm,just gonna highlight my inner corners, too, just to finish my eye look off really, there's all the gambit done and we're,gonna move on to the actual create a bit,now so if you generally, wanted to you just could add lipstick, and that could be that but i'm going to,add some few little details,so first i'm going to add like a,crescent moon on my head but like do it,upside down i'm just going to use black, snazaroo face paint,i've just realized this is so hard to do,with the camera on you you're not trying,to block it,you can make it however big or however, small you want,i've just made mine like middle size and,now what i'm gonna do is i like some, land some like veins coming out of here, and stuff like that just to make it a,bit more witchy,so the little line on my chin and i'm,just gonna start doing some little, events, you can make them however long you want, however short you want, obviously i've just done mine there but,i'm just going to drag them out,in different sizes, honestly doing them like different lamps, will make it like so much more realistic, you don't want them all perfect just go,however freehanded you want, now before i do the lips because this, look is like nearly finished obviously i,did say i was going to keep it very, simple,i'm just going to add some dots to my,face so the easiest and best trick i,have for you all is,grab your face paint activate obviously, then take the end of a brush or,maybe a hair grip or something like that, and what you want to do is like coat the,end of it,and then it makes a perfect dot honestly,it does and first of all i'm going to do,some dots around here and then i'm going,to do three dots there,so as you can see it's made like a,perfect small dot,and obviously depending on the brush, size and how much pressure you put on it,the dots will vary and then i'm just, going to do the exact same thing, this side now what i'm quickly just, going to do is do three dots here as,that's i think the usual witch trap, thing, now for my lips obviously as you can, tell i've tried it out i'm gonna add, some black lipstick honestly i don't,have black lipstick i'm just using paint, right now you can literally use like a,black eyeliner or anything, and there's my lipstick done obviously, you can add a gloss over it do whatever, you like, but i'm just gonna leave my like that, and this is the final look i'm gonna, show you how it looks once i have my hat,on and everything, gets started so yeah this is the end of,the video,so this is the final look i've just, added my hat and sorted my hair out and, everything, and yeah i actually really love it i,just like warmed up a few things, together this, isn't inspired by anyone i just put a,few things together and this is what, happened if you want me to do more give, this a big thumbs up subscribe to my,channel,do whatever you like i'm gonna be,posting more throughout october, hopefully i'm just hoping i have enough, time to,drop it down in the comments any look, you'd want me to do throughout october, thank you so much all for watching i'm,on the road to 4k so,please subscribe but yeah thank you for, watching and bye
